Seven o'clock. Eight o'clock. Nine o'clock, and still no Buffy. Time seemed to go on forever as he waited for her to return for work. He that she sometimes went patrolling on her way home but she usually at least checked in. Last night he'd seen her go to bed, but hadn't seen her in the morning. However by the time she would have been waking up he'd already been gone, running errands. The other night Spike had annoyingly finished off the rest of his pigs blood and he'd been in need of more. So he'd gone to the butchers, and then poked about trying to get some information on Glory's whereabouts. It was to no avail though, as no one had known anything. He'd come across a couple of people on his travels that were quite frankly out of their mind though and it'd struck him as odd. There were definitely crazy people out in the world but he'd never seen so many of them concentrated in a small area. It dumbfounded him when he'd seen it.
After returning from his errands it'd been about midday and still no sign of her. He'd called her, but the phone hadn't answered. A couple of text messages went by and still no answer. One of the potentials had come into the basement to train and he'd asked her, though she'd simply assumed Buffy was at work as well. Sulking off into his room he tried to lose himself in his research but found that didn't work either. After a couple of hours twiddling his thumbs he went up to the main floor and had a mug of blood and tried to call her again, and received no answer. It was now about three in the afternoon at this point and he simply couldn't wait around anymore. Throwing on his jacket he left the house and drove to her work. After entering, he was met by the man he'd met briefly before. He was a counselor with Buffy at the school, whom informed him that she hadn't showed up to work today. With heavy furrowed brows he began searching the city. Still no sign of her. Constantly he redialed her number, beginning to lose it.
Returning to the Boarding house, he waited until nine o'clock and went into the kitchen to have another mug. When he was stressed he tended to drink a lot more. On the table sat today's newspaper. Trying to get his mind off of things, he began to idly flip through it. Crime. High school honor awards. Mugging in downtown, victim left with neck wounds. Woman killed in neighborhood, suspects at large. And strange...tower? It took a moment before his mind finally decided where it was headed. In one of the stories he'd heard about Glory, he distinctly remembered that Buffy had leapt off a similar tower. And Buffy was missing. Putting two and two together, he immediately stood up and left the mug on the table.
Faster than light he was up the stairs and burst into Willow's room. "It's Buffy. Glory has her" he said abruptly, knowing to trust his instincts.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Willow sat up in her room watching TV, Tara had gone to go pick up few thing that they needed from the store. As the witch sat there she was getting more nervous by the minute of to where Buffy was. It really wasn’t like her after all this time not to be home, she knew that something had to be wrong. But Willow didn’t even know what to do or where to go, all she could do really was to sit here and wait for her to come back. Which was killing her all this waiting, she then got up off of the bed and begin pacing back and forth around the room. Not knowing what to do feeling so lost “Come on Buffy where are you?”But then the witch had an idea! Maybe do some kind of a spell to help find her, she then race over to her book shelf going threw all of the magic books looking for just the right one. She was going so fast going threw them to the point she begin throwing the ones she didn’t need, she wasn’t messing around right now. Willow was determined to find Buffy and she wasn’t stopping till she did. Finely she found a spell that she knew would do the trick, it was a type of locater spell that would even allow her to send Buffy a message. That way she could let her know they were worried sick, and make sure she wasn’t held up somewhere. All she knew was that if someone did have Buffy, they were going to have to deal with one mean witch. She begin to light candles in the whole room, She then Sit down in an upright position of the room with her hand out in front of her. Almost looking like if she was holding a ball in each one. She begin to clear her mind trying to see if she could feel where Buffy was, but so far nothing almost like the spell wasn’t working. But she knew it was she could just feel it. She had felt this feeling last time she practiced it. She begin to get sacred knowing that she couldn’t feel Buffy at all, her heart begin to race because of how sacred she was. She knew now something had to be very wrong. But then shortly after she realized it Angel had busted in to her room, he seemed just as sacred as she was. She knew before he even opened his mouth it was Buffy and something was wrong. But then when he said that Glory had Buffy her heart sank into her chest not knowing what to do, a tear begin to roll down her face in shock. It seemed like one of her worst fears had came back to haunt them. “Oh god Angel I can feel it, I know something it wrong.” She then straighten up now more pissed then anything, wiping her tears. “We have to find Glory!” She wasn’t going to let her get away from this, she would be feeling the wrath of Willow. At this point she didn’t care if her dark side came out, Glory was going to pay. atheryn 'Kathy' Anne O'Connor yawned. It had been an extremely long day, well, night actually. She hadn’t been home much recently since she had been trying to keep her distance from her older brother and his son. She didn’t hate either one of them anymore but she just really didn’t know what to say to them. However she had come home tonight (after spending a couple nights with AJ since Anthony had been in town) and was now thoroughly exhausted. She wanted to go to bed but something was bugging her and she couldn’t help but feel more restless than normal, which was saying something since she had the attention span of a nat. She was still in her clothing from the day well night and didn't feel much like changing. Her jeans were bigger than what she normally wore so they were extremely comfortable and her pink tank top and black sweater weren't uncomfortable either. She wore her ring that she always did, loving it since it had butterflies on it and matched with everything. She briefly thought about cleaning her room (not that it was messy but she was just bored and restless) but before she could she heard thudding on the second floor hallway, which was unusual since most of the girls tried to stay fairly quiet when in the bedrooms since all of them tended to sleep at different times. Throwing her cell phone in her pocket she bounded up the stairs, trying to find the source of the noise. She noticed that Buffy’s bedroom door was wide open but no one was inside it, something that struck her as strange since she hadn’t realized Buffy had anything to do today. Her window, which she knew she kept closed at all times was open too, another thing that struck the young brunette as odd. Walking towards where she heard voices she saw her older brother and Willow talking, and the words which they were saying flooded to her senses. Glory has Buffy. “WHAT?!” She asked, having only heard of Glory in passing since she hadn’t been around much but from what she had heard she knew that she didn’t want to get in the middle of that particular fight. “How the hell did she get Buffy?” She asked, not bothering to watch her mouth and she knew that her brother wouldn’t berate her for language at this point in time. “Go get her!” She cried out, needing them to get a move on and not simply stand around. “Angel give me your cell phone and I’ll call and text everyone and tell them where to meet you, you two get going!” She yelled, wanting to contribute something but not knowing what else she could do. --------------------------------------------------Things were becoming very stressful for Xander. All Xander could think of was where the heck Buffy was. It wasn't like her to be late unless she had a hard kill which was very unlikely since she had seen it all. He waited and waited for her to come home and something in the back of his mind made him think that she wasn't okay. There had to be something wrong. Xander got up from the couch and went to the kitchen to drink some coffee to calm him down and of course it wasn't going to calm him down but whatever. A mug had been left in the kitchen and he didn't know who it was. He put the mug in the sink although it still had liquid in it. "Oh Buff, where could your stubborness be?" He was starting to get worried.
Xander had heard voices upstairs and he went up to see what the commotion was about. He went to Willow's room and all he heard was that Glory took her, with an instance he ran to the room and stopped in shock. It was Angel who he hadn't seen since what? Sunnydale? And some little girl he had never met. "I knew something was wrong!" Xander was in shock and he just hoped that Buffy was at least still alive. The girl was stronger now she could take Glory right? "Who cares about texting! We need to go now!" Xander wasn't losing his best friend again, this was supposed to stop, he was supposed to have happy life with his two favourite girls. Xander walked out of the room and grabbed the weapons from the weapon trunk. He then went back to Willow's room. "Why are you guys still standing here? Come on!"
Xander's blood was pulsing and his heart was racing. He was already having flashbacks of Buffy's death when she sacrificed herself, he couldn't see it again, not now. This was just too much for him to handle right now. This wasn't even a proper reuniting of Xander and Angel but that could wait. "What's the plan Angel?" Xander had never trusted Angel and had never followed him but right now in this moment he had to and he needed to. He looked at Angel with focused eyes. Buffy had to be okay, he just had to believe it. Xander, looked at his phone and texted her, it was worth a shot right?
Xander looked around the room and it seemed as if it darkened and if he saw Buffy's body he wasn't sure how he could take it. They had gotten so close, or always had been close, he was just never used to seeing his friend die. Buffy wasn't just a friend anymore, she was more than that, she was family basically and the only family he had including Willow and Giles. He just wanted to get to the tower, it was probably noticeable and he just didn't get why they were standing here. He was sick and tired of death and for once he just wanted him and his friends to have a happy life, key word life. All Xander knew was that they had to get there before anything bad happened or maybe something already did?
- - - - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - - - - - One. Two. Three. One. Two. Three. That was the current rhythm she was following as she hit the punching bag continuously. Maybe it was sexual frustration or maybe just normal frustration but she was in an awful mood. Absolutely terrible. The stress of this new bad bitch Glory was getting to her. Spike and Buffy had come home looking like utter shit. Both of them had been black and blue and Spike hadn't even been able to talk. She wasn't sure if he could talk now or not as they hadn't really seen each other. She wasn't sure what was up with that. As of lately he hadn't tried to call her or see her or anything. Although it was a two way street...but she was simply to proud to come to him. That wasn't happening as long as she was alive and kicking.
Speaking of kicking...one. Two. Thr--- however she was interrupted by the loud voices upstairs, and stopped mid kick to listen. It may have been nosy but it was far too loud for her to ignore. As her foot lowered to the ground she concentrated on the voices as they all came down the stairs from the top floor. Something about Buffy...Glory...and a plan. Taking the tape off of her hands, she dropped it to the floor and immediately spun and headed up the stairs. Once there she found a very frightened looking baby vamp, Red, Xan-man, and Angel. All of them looked completely mortified. "What the hell is going on?" she asked wildly, frightened to see how scared all of their faces were. When it all sank in her face dropped as well.
All of them looked to Angel and for a moment she did as well, before her second in command senses kicked in. Cutting Angel off just as he began to speak she quickly came up with the best plan she could think of. Which actually wasn't much of a plan at all. "We go to this tower, and kick the bitch off of it. Everyone weapon up. Red, I hope your mojo is flowing strong because we're gonna need you the most." Her voice was husky and authoritative. Even with all of her differences she still looked up to the blonde slayer and had grown a lot closer to her lately. With this she ran upstairs and into Buffy's room. Snagging a leather jacket out of her closet, she went into her trunk as well. In the very bottom section of the trunk was the weapon Buffy told her that could actually hurt the god. It was the only one whom had ever hurt her, and slayers were the only one's strong enough to pick it up. Taking the troll hammer into her hand she hurriedly went back downstairs and met the group at the door.
"Lets go" she said, hefting it to hold in one of her hands. It was game time.
Something was wrong.
At a visceral, primal level Connor couldn't help but shake the feeling. It was akin to when his daughter began to lose power and control as her illusion fell away. It was similar to when Marcus Hamilton took such glee in pummeling his father into the tiled floor of the Wolfram & Hart executive level. When the Beastmaster rode Cordelia into madness and back, wrenching outside of the priestesses' home after discovering the mangled and cold family. Angelus. Try as he may, with the overwhelming sense of horror dancing in his mind it was the evil vampire's words ringing through his head for the entirety of the day. Doing your Mom and trying to kill your Dad. Hmm. There should be a play…
Try as he may, not even patrolling had helped calm his nerves. The supernatural rumblings were certainly enough to keep him from being bored, but there was something off about the night. An insidious crawling at his skin and mind that was beginning to pull him about by the seams. Unable to concentrate, Connor turned his attention back to the house, quickly flowing through the shadows. Once at the front steps, taking them two at a time, he slinked inside quiet as could be; trying to be as unobtrusive as possible. It was a habit born in Quor'thoth, strengthened at the Hyperion; why insist yourself on people when you knew tensions were high? Better to be respectful, be quietly around yet not in the way. Tucking his stake into the back waistband of his jeans, Connor softly shut the door behind him.
As he was about to head into the basement, the words quickly passing between everyone slapped across his face and sank into his gut. This was it. That overwhelming sense of Wrong. As his blood went to ice, Connor spun about on his heel before prowling silently into the room. Body tight with coiled vengeance and a promise of swift death, Connor felt the Destroyer side of his upbringing glide effortlessly to the front of his brain. The Man Who Slayed Jasmine. The Terrifying Bane of a Hell Dimension. The Prophecy Child. With storm cloud eyes, Connor felt his face twist into something dark, something filled with righteous fury.
Buffy.
The word alone was fucking Sacrosanct. Their Hero. Their Protector. Their Family. Their Buffy. To think that some disgusting thing had laid one hand upon someone so cherished sent a wave of unadulterated fury through his entire body. While most would tremble under the onslaught of adrenaline, Connor allowed his limbs to fill with unnatural stillness. They would go to war for this. Tear a hole through whatever was dumb enough to cross their path. All the while with a empty smile twisting his features.
"Count me in." The words came from the shadows as Connor made his presence known. Predatory and tight with unspent fury. He barely registered who made up the rescue party, only that it could' be any other way. The fact that he had yet to have an opportunity to speak with Faith since the confrontation with Spike didn't register. Now wasn't the time for petty frivolities. Now was the time to save their loved one. The urge to grab a weapon seemed unnecessary.
All he needed for a God was his fist last time. This Glory bitch wouldn't stand a chance…
With a solemn nod to Willow, he motioned for her to follow and then exited her bedroom. If they were going to save Buffy they had to be quick. No one knew how long she'd already been in Glory's hands for, and he couldn't bring himself to wonder what had happened to her thus far. He refused to think that anything bad had happened to her. If it had...well he simply wouldn't be able to live with himself. Upon entering the hallway he abruptly stopped as he'd nearly run right into his baby sister. Simply blinking he wondered why in the hell she was up this late, but knew this wasn't the time to ask. Angel shook his head, brows furrowed. "We don't know yet" he said simply, hands fidgeting around as he knew he needed to get going. With a nod he reached into the pocket of his pants and withdrew his cell phone. Tossing it into the air and towards Katheryn, he gave her a nervous look before beginning to head towards the stairs.
Only to be interrupted and nearly run into, again. Xander had been bounding up the stairs at the same time he'd been attempting to descend them. At Xander's outburst he simply maneuvered around the man and continued down the stairs. As slightly irritating as Xander was in this moment he was definitely right. They needed to get going, and soon. Once they were all at the bottom not so surprisingly Xander looked to him for a plan. Opening up his mouth he found himself interrupted by Faith, whom had seemingly appeared out of nowhere. Will no one let me get a damned word out tonight? Though he simply closed his lips that had parted just slightly and listed to the brunette. Deciding that even though her plan wasn't much of a plan at all, though the best plan, he nodded. "Faith is right. All we know right now is that Glory has her, and where they are. That's enough for me."
Out of the shadows emerged his son, and honestly, he couldn't have been more satisfied with the team they'd formed. With a wave goodbye to Katheryn and a look of hope, he opened the door and turned to give on last look to Connor. Glad to have you here" he said and with this, they were out the door. He was sure Katheryn would text Spike, and he hated to admit it, but they could use him. He'd gone up against Glory before and might end up being useful in the end. Hurriedly walking to his car he unlocked it and slid into the driver's seat. "Willow, Xander, you're with me. Connor, Faith, you take Connor's car and flank us from behind." Determined look on his face he revved the engine and slowly pulled out into the street. Driving a little too fast, he began the the journey to the field in question.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~This couldn’t be happening this had to be a nightmare flash back that the witch was having, which wouldn’t surprise her this was one of the worst days of her life. Having to say goodbye to her best friend watching as she laid there helpless and gone, it was everyone worst nightmare losing Buffy. She kept thinking to herself “wake up wake up Willow.” But nothing was happing, she even went as far as trying to pinch herself to wake up but still nothing. It was official she was in this nightmare all over again, having to fear that something was going to happen to her best friend all over again. That is if they weren’t all ready to last as is, Willow was really sacred something wasn’t right she could feel Buffy at all something was up for sure. Angel was trying to calm the witch down but at this point nothing was going to do that, she did know something was wrong she just had that feeling. Not long after Kathy Had joined them, looking just as sacred as Willow was. She had taken Angels phone and begin to text everyone, She knew that Xander was going to be in shock when he hears the news. “That’s a good idea for this we are going to need everyone’s help, Angel what we are up against is not good. She even give me a challenge when I last took her one, she is more powerful then anything you have ever seen. Trust me.” She followed Angel out of her room and towards the stairs, it was there they met up with Xander. He all ready knew what was going on by the way he was freaking out on them, it was expected though Xander was there both time that Buffy had died. The first time was when the master had done it, he had to be there to help her come back to them. Then he had to watch what Glory had done to her. So Xander had been through a lot in almost losing there friend so its no surprise to how he is acting. “Don’t worry we are all going to look for Buffy, Kathy is just letting everyone know what is up. You know just as much as I do we are going to need all the help we can get on this one.” She said while placing her hand on his shoulder, hoping to calm her friend down. Not long after that came Faith wanting to know the deal was well, it was reassuring this time knowing they had help from another Slayer. “We not sure Faith Buffy has not still came home, we think Glory might have her.” She said looking down sad. Last time all this was going on Faith was gone in jail, other wise she would have been called to Sunnydale right there with all of them. But not this time now they had Faith and she was more then ready to go. “Right now lets get to this tower and save our Buffy, don’t worry Faith I’m more then ready to take her on.” Willow said in a serous like tone. Shortly after Connor had joined them, he was ready to take on Glory as well. “All right you are in just be careful ok, Angel just might kills us all if anything happens to his boy.” The witch said giving him a smile. --------------------------------------------------"God, why would the powers bring someone like her back?" Xander really wanted to know why they would bring Glory back. It was just so stupid. If Buffy died again then there was no telling what Xander would do. He was tired of death, he had seen so much of it. The first death he had seen was his best friend back in high school and then after that the deaths just kept on piling up. There was just so much death in his lifetime, he hated it and he wanted to get away from it. Xander may not have the strength of a god but he would make sure that he would somehow piss Glory off. He knew something was wrong, he didn't want to see what that wrong thing might be.
"I know Will, I just...I just want to get there." Xander was really impatient right now, was his best friend dead or not? Was he to late? He could just imagine what Angel was feeling. Xander had lost Anya and it tore him although he didn't show it, the difference is that if Buffy was dead then Angel would see her body just like the rest of them. Why wasn't Xander used to death yet? Couldn't he just be fine with it and get on with it? And the thing is, it was like it get harder and harder each time, it was never ending like there was this chapter in the book that repeated itself.
A boy came in and he didn't know who it was. "Who are you? Wait, questions letter, fight now." Xander went with Angel and Willow to the car and sat in the back seat. "Can this car go any faster?" Xander wanted to get to the tower already he was struggling with just sitting in this car. He wanted to run but obviously he would lose stamina and he was slower than this car. "God, Buffy be okay," he mumbled under his breath. The amount of worrying he was having right now was unbelievable, he just didn't want to worry anymore. It was like suspense and he didn't like that at all. It was like he knew the outcome but was denying it.
Was Buffy even prepared to fight Glory? Did she have that hammer with her to beat Glory? There was just so much going through his mind right now, he couldn't think at all. He saw the other car that was behind them. Xander held his weapon tightly wanting to stab Glory with it. What was with this hell god anyway? Didn't she have something better to do? Why did she want to go home so badly obviously if she was kicked out then they didn't want her, she was just messing up everyone's lives. Xander frowned at the thought of seeing Buffy lying there not breathing, it wasn't a pretty sight at all. He knew that they'd be there soon considering the rush they were in Everyone seemed on the edge right now.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - - - - - The appearance of the O'Connor boy was a welcome one. Despite the slight awkwardness between them he was a good fighter and they needed all the help they could get. Surprisingly to her, Angel didn't put up a fight about him coming. If this had been a year ago they probably would have bickered over it. However they'd both grown to accept the fact that Connor was now a man. Besides it wasn't like they had all the time in the world to argue over it. Time was precious in a situation like this. Throwing Connor a quick glance, she tried to force her eyes to look reassuring. It wasn't a look she did often though so she wasn't sure if it had worked or not.
At Willow's comment about Angel killing them if Connor got hurt, she nodded, mainly to herself. It was completely and utterly true. "Baby boy's with me, he's good" with a quick look to Connor, they all headed outside and to the driveway. Troll hammer still in hand she strolled over to his car and stood at the passenger door, waiting to be let in. "Ready for this?" she said seriously, no sign of a smirk on her face. She wasn't sure if he'd heard anything about Glory before or not, hopefully he had. Perhaps she should fill him in on the way there. Regardless she was happy she'd remembered the bit about the troll hammer at least as that meant they would have a bit of leverage over the hell god. It still couldn't kill her but Faith would beat her with it until she was scattered into pieces all over the field if that's what it took. After she settled into her seat she placed the hammer on the floorboard between her legs. It didn't feel all that heavy to her but she had a feeling it would if she sat it on her lap. Pulling the door shut they silently pulled out of the driveway and began to follow Angel. "So, you stayin' at Hogwarts now too?" she asked casually, obviously referencing the Boarding House. She was actually pretty proud of herself for the reference considering she'd never actually seen the movies. Idle chit chat wasn't a favorite of hers but if it would keep her mind off of what they may find at the field, she was down. Plus it would stop her from obsessing about how fast they were or weren't going. [/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ::TAG:: Scoobies::OUTFIT:: Click here for Faith's outfit. Giving his father a resolute look, Connor felt that unspoken connection as they squared off together. When push came to apocalypse, the O'Connor men fell together in line. And this crusade demanded nothing less. Spinning about on his heel, he started towards his car, not before giving Willow a comforting half-smile. "It's going to be okay, Red. I promise." Her friend asked after him before dismissing the question in the same breath. Pulling out his keys, Connor gave him a nod before falling into a quick jog.
The look from the Dark Slayer was appreciated, and he offered his own in return. Another time, another place and they would have been perfect. But wishing and dreaming were for the White Hats, and Champions had to accept that kind of loss and regret. And while Faith's nickname could have stung, he felt it simply roll into his identity. That 'boy' word was back, but to dwell on it was to acknowledge it's power over him. And above all else, Connor was a focused and settled soul. At least… Now, he was. And a part of him liked it; to deny that seemed pointless.
Unlocking the doors as they came up on his baby, Connor crawled in without a second thought before leaning over to open the door for the hammer wielding Slayer. When she asked after him, he turned the car over before quickly shifting into gear. His foot was leaden, though his control was pristine. Maybe it was the vampiric heritage, maybe it was the Knight wanting to ride to the Lady's side. It didn't matter the reasoning, as his stead roared to life beneath him.
With his eyes on the road, his voice took on a far-off quality, haunting and a touch melancholy; satin over steeled strength. "I had a daughter. She was a Fallen Power, a Goddess. Wanted World Peace, the entire Utopian dream. She was unbeatable. Beat the snot out of Dad. I killed her myself. Put my fist through her face. So yeah, Fay Girl. I'm Ready."
The nickname slid past his lips before he could stop it, breathing into the air. While he wanted to say something, to brush it off, he couldn't bring himself to. She was his Fay Girl. The lost little one who went through hell and came out strong. A fairy tale heroine who didn't need anyone else to slay her dragons. She was the Prince Charming, and woe to any who didn't stand up and take notice.
Gazing at her for a heartbeat out of the corner of his eyes, Connor desperately wanted to do something to let her know she wasn't alone. This was how they were now, Siblings-At-Arms. And he wouldn't give it up for the world. Better to be Second Fiddle than not in the band at all… At her question, Connor simply nodded, focused on keeping his dad's car in his sights. "Dungeon dweller."
The reference fit multiple ways, as the green bound mistake turned the car towards Kismet.

Living in a crypt had its benefits and detriments. You didn’t have neighbors, or had to pay rent, but having to fix all the wiring yourself got a bit old at times. Spike had become a rather dab hand at splicing wires and siphoning off electricity, but trying to persuade the electronics inside the old microwave he had salvaged to handle a slightly unstable current was proving more difficult than he had thought. Cold blood was really as unappetizing as it sounded, but the British vampire was rapidly losing patience. Fortunately, before Spike could rip out all of the wires in a rage, a remarkably well timed text message blared out The Ramones from his phone. The vamp absentmindedly groped for it along the countertop, wondering who exactly was trying to get a hold of him. He supposed it could be one of the Slayers, asking him to cover some area on his patrol, or maybe it was that Dean fellow, up for another night of liquor and bar games. But it was a number Spike didn’t have in his contacts. Normally he deleted those types of messages quickly and with a great deal of apathy, but with certain reject Hell Goddesses roaming around, Spike thought it would prove best to be a bit less hasty. And as if rewarding him, the text message was important, more important than anything he could possibly think of. Before he thoroughly processed everything that was in the message or even really had read all the words carefully, Spike had grabbed up his duster, the keys to his new motorbike and dug his old shotgun out of storage. He couldn’t rely on making Glory lose her balance in every battle and hopefully a brain full of buckshot would at least slow her down for someone else to take another swing at her. Frankly, Spike wasn’t completely sure, nor cared, who else was coming to Buffy’s rescue. He wasn’t even sure who had figured out the blonde Slayer was missing, or if somehow the text message was a false one, and he was headed straight for a trap. But it didn’t matter. When it came to their general, The One, did anyone ever truly think? Hell, Spike didn’t think much about a lot of things. The only conscious thoughts running though his mind were how exactly to get from the graveyard to the fields near the Richmond beaches as fast as possible. Because that’s where the second tower was. Another sodding rickety tower. Perhaps the blonde was so panicked because he had watched Buffy take a swan dive off of the first one—and had wept over her body at the base of it. There was a twist in his gut, one that would only be remedied by hearing the Slayer’s voice, that everything had been pushed out of proportion. He wanted to hear her laugh at all of them for being such nervous nellies. But the feeling of foreboding merely pushed the vampire to run faster, leap over the cemetery gates and break a handful of traffic laws on his BSA bike. He skidded to a halt where the pavement ran out and the open field began. The patchwork tower loomed just ahead, and Spike dismounted and pulled his gun from the motorcycle’s side bag, his eyes raking over the landscape. It was too still, too placid for anything to feel right. Faint scents were diluted by the nearby ocean, and there was a void of sound. More than anything, Spike wanted to press ahead, but the eerie silence made him hold back. But he didn’t plan to wait for long. +++ TAGS: Scoobs WORD COUNT: 607 NOTES: Big Bad has landed on the scene!

Furiously driving as Willow directed, Angel kept his foot hard against the gas pedal. His Plymouth was keeping up nicely and Connor seemed to be right on their heel. Luckily enough this field wasn't supposed to be too far away. Just outside of the suburbs the paper had said. It seemed like an eternity but he knew that it was only his anxiousness getting to him. How could he not be anxious? Buffy was the love of his life. Even if he hadn't asked her to be his girl again officially, she would always be his girl. Now he was really regretting dragging his feet on that subject. It hadn't been that he hadn't wanted to, but simply that they'd all been kind of busy lately. Now he knew more than ever that time was precious, though he'd known it before, it was definitely a lot more real in this moment.
Hearing the chitter chatter from the backseat, Angel rounded a corner but didn't slow down, causing Xander to slightly slide down the backseat. "Backseat driving doesn't make the car go faster" he said through gritted teeth. He was already on the edge and being prodded to drive faster, when he physically couldn't, was not helping. Xander mumbled under his breath but being a vampire, Angel heard it. Attempting to put all negative thoughts of his head for the moment, he continued on.
Finally arriving at the field, Angel had barely stopped the car before he jumped out. The tower wasn't hard to find and passing Willow and Xander by, he was simply a blur. It seemed Spike had arrived as well but hadn't made it out there, and Angel sped past him as well. However the sight of blonde hair lying within the long grass, a lump entered his throat. He stopped as hard as concrete and simply stared. Daring to move a step closer, looking down all the while, he saw her.
No, no, no, no no!
It was Buffy. And she was dead.
"Buffy!" he yelled, not bothering to look for the hell bitch that did this. In the background he seen demons running out into the streets and into the forrest. He hadn't a clue where they'd come from but they were absolutely everywhere. After a moment he heard screaming as well, assuming one or more of the demons had reached the houses in the distance. However he paid no mind to them. Falling to his knees he picked her up by her shoulders and shook her. "Buffy, come on, don't die on me" he said, exasperated. Shaking her some more he desperately tried to wake her up. He leaned down and couldn't hear her breathing, and immediately tears welled in his eyes. Two of his fingers went to her wrist to find no pulse.
This was it...his world was over. She was everything to him. If he didn't have her, he was nothing. Life seemed...pointless. And yet he still couldn't believe that she was dead. No, more or less, he refused to believe it.
"Please, Buffy..." he croaked, voice crying out of pure and raw emotion, holding her head in the crook of his elbow with the other hand holding her by the back.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~There was no time to waste they needed to get going, every minute they stood things could be getting worse for Buffy. Willow knew something was going on with her being gone this long. The witch was even sacred to think about what she was going to see at that tower, with kidnapping Buffy Glory had to know they were coming after her. So it was scary to even think about all the traps that she had waiting for them. Willow wasn’t even there yet and she all ready was having flash backs in her head, seeing the day they all took on Glory. The moment Willow helped Tara get her mind back, and even Giles killing Ben. But the one image that she cant get out of her head no matter how hard she tried is when they all saw Buffy laying there. Willow still remembers breaking down feeling like she couldn’t breathe, feeling like all the life had been sucked from her. But that isn’t going to happen this time not on this witches watch, Glory is going to be dead before she can even start. They all loaded up and made there way to the cars all ready to go, Willow was with Angel and Xander, while Faith had Connor with her along with the Trolls Hammer. Glory wasn’t going to know what hit her when they got there, it was going to be one hell of a fight. Willow helped to direct Angel on how to get there, it seemed like no matter how fast they drove they still couldn’t get there fast enough. She so badly just wanted to use magic to make it go faster, but the last thing they needed was Willow blowing up the car. She was so upset right now with all that was going on she knew that her powers could juts go nuts, which is another reason she hopes to come face to face with the hell bitch. This time was going to be different then last time she took Glory on, because this time she wont be getting up. Finally they had made it to the field, to where everyone had shown up, it even looked like Spike had joined them. Which was great they needed all the help they could get in this fight, but at the same time it was bringing back memories. Memories that Willow really didn’t want relive. Willow got out shortly after Angel had jumped out of the car running as fast as he could, she shut the door running not so far behind him with Xander by her side. But as she got closer Willow could see what was ahead of him, It was Buffy laying there. “Oh God Buffy!” She said as she was running. Angel was all ready there checking out the situation trying to see if Buffy was ok, the witch wasn’t telling herself that Buffy was dead yet. She just couldn’t even begin to think that Glory had done it again, taken away her best friend that meant everything to her. Willow stood there in shock while Angel was checking her, tears slowly rolling down her face. “Angel is she ok?” She said in a shaky tone. But the witch had noticed him check Buffy’s pulse, she could tell by the look on his face that she was gone. “Oh god Buffy no! Please no! This cant be real, it just cant be! She cant be gone again!” Willow begin to cry hard in shock tears rolled down her face non stop, she turned falling right into Xander’s arms losing all strengths in her body. The only thing she had holding her up was him, she continued to cry in his arms. “ I knew something was wrong I just knew it! I couldn’t feel her anymore Xander when I did my spell. Oh god Xander we should have gotten here sooner.” She said with uncountable tears still in her voice, making it hard for anyone to even make out. --------------------------------------------------Xander rolled his eyes. He just wanted to get there already. It didn't help when Angel snapped on him. Xander had to bite his tongue, he wasn't going to get in a fight when they had more things to worry about. He knew that they were going really fast but it was just the fact that they were in a rush that made it seem like the car was going extremely slow. He wouldn't be able to handle losing his best friend again especially how close they were now. They went through so much together and finally they had a little peace after Sunnydale was gone which led them to become even closer. God, they needed to get there now, Xander couldn't wait anymore. He needed to be at that tower, he knew they were getting closer, the tower was becoming larger as they approached.
The gang had finally made it to the tower. They all got out quickly. And Xander joined the rest of them. It looked like Spike was there too. When was Spike alive? Jeez, what was happening in this world? Xander saw a body and it was of a girl. She was laying there helplessly. No breath coming out of her. Still as water, her eyes closed, no motion. "B-Buffy," he walked closer towards her as everyone else did. Angel felt for a pulse, no pulse. It laid limp. Was she cold? She looked pale, like she had no more life in her. Was she truly gone? The girl he knew since high school?
It felt like the walls were collapsing. His vision was blurry and darkening. His stomach turning the wrong way. His best friend, was gone once again. She was laying there, she saved the world again but saved it by ending her life so her friends could live another day. It was happening all over again except this time Xander wasn't there to help. Xander's heart was racing. His heart was hurting, the amount of pain he felt was unbelievable. He thought he could handle it a little bit better but it was worse. She was gone from his life. She was dead. He didn't want her to be. She needed to come back, she just...it just wasn't possible for her to die again.
Willow fell into his arms and Xander was trying to be strong. "Sh, it's okay Will...it's gonna be okay," he said quietly. It wasn't okay at all. he was lying to her and himself. Xander was in shock. He looked at Buffy's now empty body. Did she feel pain? Xander hugged Willow tightly. Tears started to form in Xander's eyes. He had never let anyone see him cry besides Anya when Joyce died. The tears fell down to his cheek and went on Willow's head. "God Buff, please don't leave me," he whispered. There had to be a way. She wasn't dead, she couldn't leave this world. He didn't want to believe she was gone. Xander felt empty, like he had nothing in him. He started to lose balance from more shock and now his body was helpless and withdrew, he fell to the ground with Willow still in his arms. He cried harder, he didn't want to be strong, he wanted to be weak just once. He couldn't take it anymore. "I'm sorry Buffy. I'm sorry," he said in exasperated breaths while crying. He was heaving. The world was dark, Xander couldn't see straight anymore. Why did he feel so empty?! All of his enthusiasm and jokes were gone, all he felt was depression. She was gone.
