- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She slid into the driver's seat of her car, her legs and arms shaking as she fumbled with her keys to start the car. She could barely see straight with not only the tears clouding her vision but also the fact that she was extremely light headed. Realistically she knew she shouldn't be driving but there were no other options so she dealt with it. Pulling out onto the street she immediately pulled into the first fast food restaurant she saw which happened to be a Dairy Queen. Ordering a grilled cheese sandwich, soda, fries and a chocolate chip cookie, she paid for it before pulling into a parking spot, eating it mechanically. She really didn’t taste anything, and wouldn't have eaten other than she needed some sugar and food in her system so she could handle the drive back to the apartment.
Finishing her meal quickly she pulled back onto the road, driving quickly to the apartment while trying to keep her thoughts from going anywhere near anything that had just transpired. Before she knew it she was at the apartment. Heading inside she quickly veered off to the right and went to her room, grabbing the first clothes she could find before taking another shower, this time taking the time to scrub every inch of her body, not wanting anything on her to show what she had done. She knew Spike’s sense of smell would immediately pick up on Angelus’ scent and she didn’t want that…he’d find out soon enough anyway.
After getting out of the shower she looked at the clothes she had chosen. A pair of flared jeans with a belt on them, a Sunnydale High School tshirt that she didn’t even remember owning and a pair of Nike Shox. She didn’t really care what she looked like other than to make sure she was covered up so none of the bruises that she could feel showed up so she dressed quickly. Brushing her hair and toying with the idea of leaving it down before throwing it up in a pony tail, the young woman didn’t even bother putting any makeup on, knowing nothing she would do would disguise the redness in her eyes or the puffiness of her face. It was clear she had been crying and other than going and buying some stage makeup to make herself look like a clown, she was just going to have to deal with it.
As she pulled her necklace out of her shirt she stopped before fingering the clasp slightly. She didn’t deserve to wear this…she didn’t deserve to own anything that he had given her. With a small sob she unclasped the necklace and headed back into her room. She pulled open her top dresser drawer and picked up the velvet box that it had come in, placing it inside just as it was the day she received it and put the box back into her purse…she would return it to him later.
Taking a deep breath before steadying herself she walked into the living room, ready to face the cavalry. Spike, Willow and Kathy were all seated around the television and she thought about waiting for a second before making the decision to get this over with. “Hey guys.” She stated, though her tone was anything but happy. “We have to get going…Angel wants to see us at the boarding house.” She told them, not even bothering to explain pleasantries or explain further, she just wanted this whole day to be over with.

God. He felt awful. Spike hated this cramped little apartment. He would have been out at his crypt, but frankly, he wanted to be with Kathy, as if he needed to prove to her he was sorry for his violent behavior that the little vampire had begged him to stop. Not to mention that he was going to give Buffy another earful when she arrived. She was going to kill him with all of the stupid things she had been doing. As Spike understood it, everyone had agreed that Buffy would at least wait a little while before trying to stop Angelus again. It had been hard enough for Spike to agree to let her go back there at all. And then, she had lied to him. Needless to say, he was completely and utterly fed up with the blond Slayer. Even so, Spike was half sprawled on the couch, watching some program that was pretty sure Kathy had picked out, kind of mindlessly watching it to ease his troubles. He had tried drinking them away but that just had led to other things. Willow was with them as well, though she and Spike had gotten into a bit of a shouting match when he had found that she had done Angel’s re-ensoulment earlier than Spike thought it would happen. He had been very drunk, quite spent and knowing that Buffy and Willow had gone behind his back infuriated him. He vaguely remembered harsh words being tossed around, but in the morning, he had come back to Willow with guilty pleading eyes and gave an embarrassed, mumbled apology. Red was only playing her role, after all, and he knew that she didn’t deserve the brunt of his anger. She was probably still mad at him though. Spike was ripped from his thoughts when Buffy entered the living room and informed them they had to go. The vampire was surprised. Why wasn’t Angel with her? Why wasn’t she all smiles and sunshine? Although he had planned to be snarky and flippant with her, Spike suddenly felt his expression change to one of confusion and concern. Something hadn’t gone right. Or perhaps Angel had gotten hurt in the fight between them and Buffy was feeling guilty about it. That was probably it. That was the reason that made most sense. Satisfied with his reasoning, Spike felt like he could be a bit glib. ”Got a little too wild, did you?” He sniffed, not moving from the sofa. Well, it was no skin off of his back that Angel was hurt and Spike didn’t care if he seemed like a brat. He was fairly certain that Angel only wanted to see the girls right now, anyway, and Spike would allow him that. He could duke it out with Buffy once the love-fest between her and Angel hit a pause. Hopefully there would be a pause. But for right now, Spike didn't plan to go anywhere. +++ TAGS: Kathy, Willow, Angel, Buffy WORD COUNT: 492 NOTES: Cheeky Spike ;3

atheryn 'Kathy' Anne O'Connor stared. She wasn’t even really sure what they were watching on the television but she wasn’t paying attention to what it was. She heard the door open to the apartment but kept completely still. She was sitting on the couch next to Spike, trying not to cling to him every time she heard a noise. She knew the evil brother couldn’t get into the apartment but that didn’t stop her from being scared. She also hadn’t seen Buffy today so that was also making her nervous. She knew that Spike would protect her but she had gotten used to Buffy being around. Before she knew it she heard Buffy's voice behind her. She turned around and her eyes brightened. "BUFFY!" She yelled and got up, throwing herself at the girl and giving her a big hug before realizing what she had said. "Wh-What?" She asked, her eyes huge. Before anyone could stop her she had ran over to Spike and jumped into his lap, shaking at the thought of seeing her evil brother. "No!" She yelled out, surely surprising everyone with her unwillingness to see her older sibling. It didn't occur to her that they were calling him Angel again so he had gotten his soul back...it hadn't occurred to her at all. "Why do we have to go over there? I don't want to see him. He's mean!" She stated though it was muffled by the fact that her head was buried in Spike's chest. She had no idea if he was comfortable with her being in his lap and to be honest she really didn't care. She had elected him as her protector for the moment and he was going to do it whether he liked it or not. If he tried to complain she'd give him the puppy dog eyes that he had told her would work on anyone...so she just hoped they would work on him. She had a feeling they would since she looked the epitome of a little girl today. Complete with old navy jeans, hello kitty shirt, hair in curly pig tails, her silver and pink claddagh ring that she had gotten back in Ireland, her hello kitty wrist band and hello kitty shoes, she stood out as a child that needed protection...and in her mind she did. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Willow looked at the clock checking the time, Buffy still wasn’t there. She wasn’t too happy with her right now though for the sheer fact that she had hung up on her, that wasn’t like her at all to hang up the phone on someone. Something had to be really wrong, which had Willow more worried. All that went threw her heard now was, is Buffy all right? what is going on with them? Is Angel still ok after the spell? All these things kept running and running threw her thoughts like a top, having her more worried then ever. But Willow wasn’t going to let poor Kathy see that, she all ready had enough going on with her She wondered when things were going to calm down, when this was all going to be over. Because the truth was even though Angel was back things still were going to be hectic for all of them, they always were having to mend all the bridges. But Willow would be there for Buffy with all this no matter what, that is also long as she quits hanging up on people. But the big thing threw all this that she feels bad for, is being a bad girlfriend not being there for Tara. She did just come back not that long ago from the dead, and Willow hadn’t been there. She knew that some how she would have to make it up to her, that’s is when things slow down and life’s not crazy when ever that would be. With there life it wont be happening anytime soon, but she knew with all this Tara would understand. Buffy finally was back there to them, Willow got up really fast seeing if she was ok. So far she seemed ok but she wasn’t really sure yet. Willow wanted to know why she had hung up on her, but before she could ask Buffy she had told them that they needed to meet Angel back at the boarding house, poor Kathy seemed a bit sacred about that. So Willow knew right now might not be the best time to ask, she just kept quiet about to herself till the time seemed ok. "ok guys you heard Buffy lets go." - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She rolled her eyes at the look on Spike’s face. She had known since before walking through the door that he was going to be pissed off. However she had a feeling he was misreading the situation. He didn’t look angry, more annoyed that she had lied to him. She raised an eyebrow at him when he asked if they had gotten a bit too wild. “What are you talking about?” She asked him before shaking her head. “No, you know what, I don’t want to know. “ She replied, shaking her head. The blonde smiled sadly when the young vampire bounded over to her, hugging her. She bit back tears as she held her for a split second before she was gone, into Spike’s arms. She quirked her eyebrow at the random display but it occurred to her quickly what was the matter and she shook her head. “No honey, Angel, not Angelus. Willow gave your brother his soul back earlier…he’s fine…he’s your big brother again.” She tried to explain though had no idea if she was even beginning to make sense.
She had no desire to be here at the moment. She wanted nothing more than to either run to her room and lock herself in or take her car and drive as far away as possible. Unfortunately neither of those choices were even a faint option at the moment so she had to suck it up and deal with it. She turned her attention to Spike, knowing that nothing she would say would soothe the young girl until she saw it with her own eyes that Angel was Angel. “Clearly she feels safe with you which means you have to come with us. Besides we can move back into the Boarding House now. I’ll take you guys over there and then I’ve got to go patrol.” She stated, wanting nothing more than to tell Spike to suck it up and get over his issues, whatever they were.
She turned to Willow and smiled. “Hey, sorry I hung up on you earlier…I had a slight malfunction with my phone. I’m going to have to go buy a new one tomorrow.” She told her, pulling out the mangled pieces of her once expensive iPhone. Placing it back in her purse to remember to grab the SIM card when she switched phones tomorrow she turned her eyes back to the group. “We need to go, so yeah, let’s go. No one has any say in this either…we are all going…that means you Spike.” She told him and turned on her heel and headed out of the apartment, the mantra of keeping it together until she was alone continued over within her.
Just another hour and a half and she would be able to give into her emotions.

Buffy merely brushed off his little comment, and that was fine with Spike. Really, he didn’t want to get into it right now, anyway, not with Kathy there. Speaking of Kathy, that sweet little ball of vampire fluff kind of amused and worried Spike at the same time with her jumping up to hug Buffy and then retreating back to him. Perhaps earlier in their relationship, he might have been a tad confused, but he and the girl had grown attached to one another and he knew that this was rather typical behavior from her. She would probably have to stop once Angel was back for good, but then again, Kath would have her real brother rather than her surrogate brother. But having a lap full of little vampire didn’t bother Spike at all, and he shifted a bit to give her a gentle rub on her arm, a kind of false hug to soothe her. ”It’s okay, pet,” Spike said to the little girl clinging to his chest, gently tilting up her chin so he could look her in the eye, showing that he wasn’t lying. He couldn’t lie for beans anyway, ”Buffy would never bring you to the bad one, right?” To Buffy’s explanation that he should continue being the little vamp’s bodyguard he gave a somber nod. It made sense that the poor thing didn’t differentiate between Angel and Angelus. He was pretty sure the girl hadn’t seen what Angelus was like, only the aftermath of what he caused and the fear and caution he had put into all of the other adults in her life. It must have been pretty terrifying to have just found someone so dear and then have everyone else you liked be against them. Spike stood with a small ”Hup.”, carrying Kathy cradled in his arms for a moment before setting her back down on terra firma. And he supposed between the running about after Angelus and getting this apartment and all the other thing that happened, it had slipped Spike’s mind to tell Buffy that he would soon not be a true resident of the boarding house anymore. He had worked on his crypt more or less before the entire Angelus debacle had gone down and maybe Buffy didn’t know that. Or maybe she did know and was just expecting Spike to help them move back in. Either way, it seemed like a lot of hassle for Spike when he wasn’t feeling too keen about a lot of the people in his unlife. ”Alright. You said.” The blond vampire put a little defensively, annoyed that Buffy was repeating herself. He supposed that with him there, Kathy would feel secure and Angel could see that his little sister had been under a strong watch during his soulless escapades, ”I have to give him a shiner for nearly staking me, anyways.”+++ TAGS:WORD COUNT: 477 NOTES: Oh yes, Spikey was always going to go with, but he’s just being a bit of a wanker. atheryn 'Kathy' Anne O'Connor whimpered. She didn’t want to see him, not the man who killed her. She loved her big brother, but he and the vampire who killed her were very different. Their eyes were the most telling, where her big brother’s were warm and nice, the demon’s were cold and dark. His smile was also another thing that was different. Her Angel’s was this little half smile that was actually really pretty (Not that she would ever tell him that) when he actually let it surface onto his face. The monster’s was a cold smirk that literally sent shivers up the young girl’s spin with just a thought. She heard Buffy trying to tell her that it wasn't the monster but her big brother, yet she was still scared. Did that mean that she was scared of her older brother? She hadn't been when she first saw him again even though the last time she had seen him it had been the monster...so what had changed? "Are-Are you sure?" She asked, her head still buried in Spike's chest. She needed to know that he wouldn’t hurt her, nor would he hurt anyone she liked. She heard Spike's soothing accent try and reassure her, calling her pet which usually made her giggle but at the moment it just calmed her down. She felt her chin being lifted up and looked into his eyes, nodding when Spike asked if she knew that Buffy wouldn't lie or bring her to Angelus. "I know, I'm sorry Buffy." She said, turning her face to meet the other girl's eyes. She wasn’t sure why she was so sad, but she was...though before Kathy could go over and give her a hug the girl was out the door. Kathy felt Spike lift her in his arms before setting her down. However she stayed almost glued to his side until they walked out the door. Once out of the apartment she grabbed his hand and pulled him after the blonde girl who was walking way too quickly for any of them to keep up with her unless they ran. Once at the car Kathy slid in, sitting against the window on the other side, allowing Spike to not have to crawl over the seat. She assumed Willow would sit up front but really had no idea. She hadn’t really talked to the red haired girl that much since she had been cuddled up with Spike most of the time, but the girl seemed nice she guessed. Once the car stopped Kathy got out, this time instead of holding Spike’s hand she hid behind him, not wanting anyone to know she was there. “Let’s get this over with.” She whispered, though doubted anyone but Spike had actually heard her. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Willow felt bad for poor Kathy, she was so scared to see her big brother. All though she couldn’t blame her after everything, all the stuff he did to everyone and said. If wasn’t Willow that would have done the spell and known it was safe, she wouldn’t even trust going over there ether. But Angel was back finally with all of them again, but she still was a bit worried to whether or not it could happen again. Which is why she still is going to look into something, try and make so this never happens again. She looked over at Buffy and the little vamp smiling, when she said that she helped fix Angel. “Yup its true Kathy now he is back to being your big brother.” She knew that the little vamp was happy to here that, but the truth was they all were relived. Knowing that things were going to be safer and that they could all now get a long. All though that wasn’t all true, she knew that it was going to be a rocky road for Buffy and Angel. Because Willow can tell now just by how Buffy is acting that its been hard, that words have been said. She just hopes that when the time right and she needs someone, Buffy can come and talk to her. Shortly after talking to Kathy Buffy walked over to her, taking out her phone showing her what had happed. Willow understood now to why she couldn’t talk to her, and feels bad for ever being upset with her. “Its ok I understand that you couldn’t talk, don’t worry about it. I’m just glad you are safe, you really had me worried there Buffy.” She then gave the Slayer a quick hug before leaving along with everyone else out the door. They had all made it to the boarding house to see good old Angel again, all though Willow wasn’t to sure if Kathy would be looking at him right way. “Poor Kathy I wish she just knew that it was safe now, she is breaking my heart with how scared she is.” she said to the blond vamp. “Just keep an eye on her Spike let her know its safe, she really seemed to love you.” Willow though it was sweet how close they really were, it reminder her a lot of how he kept Dawn safe when she really needed him. - - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - - -The vampire didn’t look back again once he began walking towards the bathroom downstairs. Although he heard the slayer walking up the stairs he made no movements to try and watch her go, he didn’t want to look at her. It wasn’t as if he hated her because honestly, he knew that no matter what he could never hate her. More or less he was disappointed by her, as well as feeling quite betrayed. What she had done wasn’t something he’d ever thought would happen. To him it hadn’t even seemed possible and to have it constantly replaying over and over in his head now absolutely broke his heart. To know that she’d been that…intimate with Angelus made him wonder if she really even cared about him at all. Sure she seemed sorry but then again, that was expected and she knew that. Whether or not she truly felt bad about it or knew that it was wrong…that was another thing, despite what she said.
Walking in to the bathroom he flicked on the shower, surprised that the water was still even on in the home. After all it had been boarded up and cautioned off, being a part of a police investigation. Honestly he knew that sooner or later he’d have to deal with that as well and try to cover it up, but right now he didn’t want to deal with it. As the shower began to run he turned it to hot and walked out of the bathroom, into what had previously been his bedroom. Some of his clothes were still in the drawer, to his surprise. Next he pulled out a black tank top and a pair of grey sweatpants, a different pair than what he had on. He could still smell the sex on his person and wanted to be rid of the scents completely. Walking over next to his old bed, he took a seat and set the clothes beside him. For a moment he simply sat in the complete darkness. Both of his hands went to his head, laying it into them in distress.
At the moment he was completely confused. He wanted to leave Virginia so badly, to escape having to see the blonde slayer every day. Each time he looked at her he was reminded of what he’d done and he wasn’t sure if he could bear that for very long. On the other hand he also had Katheryn to look after now too, and knew that she’d grown attached to Buffy in the time they’d spent together. With that being said he couldn’t wait to see his baby sister again. To hold her in his arms and tell her everything was alright, though he wasn’t sure if she’d even want to see him. She was probably more afraid than all hell and for that he felt terrible. Hopefully she’d at least let him hold her, tell her that he’d missed her because he had.
Finally hopping in to the shower, he stayed under the water for about an hour. He scrubbed at his skin desperately trying to remove evidence of Buffy’s betrayal from his skin. No matter how hard and how much he scrubbed, he knew it would never be enough. After finally giving up…he exited the shower and adorned in the clothes he had picked out. By this time, he heard the front door to the boarding house creak open and anxiously went back in to the main part of the basement. Buffy came down the stairs first, his eyes looking past her completely. Next came Willow, then Spike, much to his dismay. However he didn’t immediately notice Katheryn, as she’d been hiding behind Spike. It infuriated him to see his sister with the blonde vampire but he’d address that later. Right now, he just wanted to see her.
Kneeling on to the floor, he outstretched his arms and called to his sister. ”Katheryn…it’s okay, come here” he started slowly, his voice soft and hopeful. Desperately he wished she would run over to him and allow herself to be embraced, but wasn’t sure if that’s how it would happen. - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She knew she was being short with everyone but truly she couldn’t help her. Her mind was on overdrive, her heart seemed like a fried out mess and she was just done…done with everything. Unfortunately she had a feeling that tonight was not going to go as smoothly as she would like. She knew when she got back Angel would ignore her…she was planning for that. But what about when Spike realized that she and Angel were not happily ever after? She knew it wouldn’t take him long to decipher where the tension in the air had come from…that wouldn’t be hard to figure out at all. She knew that wouldn’t go over well. She actually thought about pulling him aside before and telling him they’d talk later but she had a feeling that if she tried to tell Spike she’d explain later he would get impatient and they would never leave. Granted she still didn’t know if that was the smart decision but unfortunately neither one of her options were good so she was taking the better of the two…though it would most likely blow up in her face just like everything had recently.
Sliding into the car she waited until first Kathy, then Spike, then finally Willow got in before driving off, heading towards the boarding house. She was glad that she had taken the time to clean up the blood stains and such for the most part before subjecting any of them to it. Granted she was sure that there would still be a faint hint of blood in the house but it shouldn’t be too overwhelming as they had gotten a lot done on it in a short amount of time.
Arriving at the boarding house was a silent affair and as soon as the car was parked she jumped out, waiting for the others to follow her as she trailed up the walk. Opening the door she motioned with her head to follow her. She hated going back downstairs, feeling as if they were walking directly to the scene of the crime so to speak. However she could feel Angel was downstairs and had a feeling he wouldn’t be coming out anytime soon. She also had a feeling that Kathy would be more comfortable down there being that it was where they had technically been living. Either way they were headed to the basement and there wasn’t a thing she could do about it.
Walking down first she saw Angel and saw how his eyes slid right past her as if she wasn’t even there. She knew it was coming but it still hurt. She fought her instincts which were telling her to run, to protect what was left of her mangled heart and get the hell out of there. Unfortunately she had never been one to run away, even from something like this, and bit back her retort even though the time for arguing was long past. She desperately wanted to scream at him that she wouldn’t run because that was his forte but she kept it to herself…not only because it clearly wasn’t the time, especially with their present audience, but it also wouldn’t make sense to anyone who couldn’t hear her thoughts…and thankfully she was the only one who could.
She walked to the other side of the room, leaving Willow, Spike and Kathy standing in front of Angel. She knew it was cruel but she’d rather watch from over on the other side so she didn’t have to see Angel actively ignoring her. Her heart broke when she saw him drop to his knees with his arms out, wanting Kathy to run to him. She had a feeling it wouldn’t be that easy, but then again she didn’t know his sister that well and she could very easily surprise her.

Allowing the little vampire to pull him to the car by his hand, Spike watched as Buffy silently rushed towards the car, leaving the rest of them in the dust. The blond vampire could feel his jaw clench a bit, knowing that there was something that Buffy wasn’t telling him. But he figured if he brought it up now, they would end up in an argument and the only thing that would do would be upset Kathy even further. The girl was frightened enough, and the only reason Spike was going along was to ensure she could see her brother. As hesitant as she was right now, it was almost guaranteed that once she knew the pouty, sullen Angel was back, the child would go back to where she needed to be. With her family. Spike was practically pulled into the back seat, and for the rest of the car ride, he kept his eye on Kathy, but said very little. In fact, the whole trip there was rather silent with a palpable sort of discomfort on everyone’s part. Or maybe that was just Spike and Kathy. The boarding house wasn’t too far away and before Spike could think of a nice way to distract his little vampire friend, they had arrived. All of them unceremoniously piled out and began to make their way up the walk. Buffy was well in the lead again, while the rest of them somewhat stayed behind. With Kathy behind him, Spike didn’t want to move too quickly and make the little girl feel like he was leaving her behind. He had heard her whispered comment and, rather than say anything back to her, he merely stuck close, wanting to give her the only kind of support he thought he could give at this point. As the two vampires and witch somewhat straggled behind the Slayer, Spike nodded to Willow’s request to help make the younger looking vampire feel safer. With a gentle tone, he murmured, his gaze flitting down to Kathy, ”Course I will. I seem to love her back.” Usually, Spike did not use the ‘L-word’ so casually in that respect, but with Kath hiding behind him so close that it seemed almost likely she wanted to pop under his duster, he thought saying such a thing might make her happy, even if it was typically uncharacteristic of him. Sooner rather than later, the four had made their way down into the basement, where Angel seemed more himself, though unharmed, unlike what Spike had previously thought. As Buffy crossed the room away from them, Spike watched her go with a puzzled stare, before looking back to his rival and then Kath, who was still behind him. He was at a bit of a loss as to where to look or what to do, so he simply stood his ground, hoping to God that Willow would go over to Buffy while he remained to support Kathy. He surprised himself by remaining calm and having a blank expression as he sensed Angel staring at him and Kathy together. No, big brother probably wasn’t happy at all about this arrangement, but it wasn’t Spike’s fault that the bloke couldn’t share. Although, the blond vampire had to kind of admit, it was awkward being the man between the two siblings as Angel sank to his knees and implored his sister to come to him. Spike kept where he was, though, knowing that if he stepped away when the little vampire needed him, it could bugger up the whole thing. He was silent and merely looked down at Kath again. +++ TAGS: Kathy, Willow, Angel, Buffy WORD COUNT: 602 NOTES: ~

atheryn 'Kathy' Anne O'Connor was shaking. She didn’t want to be afraid of her brother, she really didn’t. She loved her big brother more than anything in the world. He was more than her brother, he was her father in every sense of the word. Liam had been the one who had taught her how to walk and to talk, how to draw, how to play. He had been the one who kissed her knees when she fell down, held her hand when she was near the water to make sure she didn’t go too far in, and he was the one who she had cried out to when she had nightmares. These things should force her to trust him, make her realize that she could trust him…yet she still couldn’t get the sight of the man who wore her brother’s face out of her head. The one who had come into her room that night and woke her up. The one who she had woken up to, and mumbled my angel before feeling his teeth sink into her skin, draining the life out of her as he laughed cruelly. She knew that it wasn’t his fault, that monster wasn’t her brother. She hadn’t had a problem with distinguishing the two only a few short weeks ago when they had found one another again, but knowing that he had only recently been him…it scared her more than she wanted to admit. She followed Spike down the stairs, who was following Buffy. Walking into the room her eyes trained on the blond girl though her hands were clenched against Spike’s jacket. She didn’t understand why her brother wasn’t looking at Buffy but didn’t dwell on it, well, she couldn’t dwell on it as she was literally paralyzed in fear. She watched as he knelt down on his knees and opened his arms, telling her to come there. She wanted to run to him and jump on him, hugging him for all that he was worth, but for some reason she couldn’t. Her legs were locked together and her hands gripped the leather coat between them tighter, trying to seemingly disappear into the blond vampire himself. Brown curls shook back and forth as she shook her head. “N-No.” She whimpered, scared out of her damn mind. Okay, this was just dumb. This was her brother! She needed to suck it the hell up and deal with it. Okay, so maybe not all at once, but she would give him a little. She peeked out from behind Spike, most of her body still hidden but her curls and her eyes showing. “Are…Are you him?” She asked quietly, though loud enough for everyone to hear her. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~They all followed Buffy till they made it to the house, Willow wondered and was scared to know what state Angel was going to be in. And with how quite Buffy was being it was a dead give away that it couldn’t be good. She just hoped that everything was going to go ok for Kathy, the poor little vamp was so scared she might never leave Spike’s side. But Angel will understand hopefully, Angelus being around does things to people. Willow remembers the first time she was faced with Angelus like it was just yesterday, and its something she tries not to think about. Especially with what he had did to her fish. She still gets a sick feeling that makes her skin crawl every time she thinks of it. Willow walked in with the rest of the gang while Buffy lead them to the basement, not long after that Angel had joined them. It seemed like there was bit of a silence when he did, and she knew it might be smart to break that. Plus she couldn’t lie she was happy to see that the old Angel was back to them in one piece, at lest for now anyway. Willow is still scared of the happiness that still could come upon him. “Hey Angel how are you feeling? Still feeling like you one hundred percent?” The witch asked with a smile. It really was a fear to them all of him being soulless again, but with how happy he has been to be with Buffy and even Kathy again he couldn’t help it. Willow then noticed that Buffy had seemed very distant, almost like she didn’t want to be there with them. She wanted so badly to say something and see if she was all right, but now really wasn’t the time. The last thing they needed was a big fight to happened with sacred little Kathy, who all ready didn’t want to come near Angel as is. She knew it be best to speak to Buffy much later. Willow watched as Angel was trying to get Kathy to come to him, but still she really didn’t want to. She still couldn’t believe he was really back, they had to find some way to let her know it was safe. When she ask if it was really him Willow couldn’t help but try and make her feel safe. She got down near Kathy and told her calm voice “Don’t worry sweety it really is him, I made sure of it. But know if you walk over there we are all watching you making sure you are safe, you know that none of us our going to let anything happen to you.” The witch then had an idea. “I bet Spike will even walk over with you. Wont you Spike?” Willow said then looking to the blond vampire. Word Count- 480 Tagged- Buffy, Spike, Kathy and Angel Outfit- Click to see Willow's Outfit.Note- ~~~~~~~~~~~

- - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - - -When his sister didn't come to him it literally broke his heart. It was even worse than what Buffy had done, though they were two totally different situations. Having his own little sister scared of him was something he had never hoped would happen again. She had already been scared of him for centuries and had only recently mended this behavior. However once again his curse had gotten the best of him. Without Katheryn, he had no one left. Buffy was out of his life surely with what she had done. He was truly alone now and he knew it, though he desperately hoped Katheryn would come around. She needed to know that he hadn't meant or wanted this to happen, that he hated it as much as she did. He was sorry, though it'd been against his control. No matter how hard he tried to make the situation better he just couldn't; he felt truly broken in this moment.
His big brown eyes went to the floor immediately as she told him no. They sank sadly to the concrete in front of him. At that moment he wanted to slink away into the darkness and never look back. It'd be better and more stable for Kathy to live with Buffy anyways, and better for her in the long run. Spike could finally have Buffy like he had always wanted, like he still wanted. Angel hadn't commented on it lately but he saw the way Spike looked at her. No matter how hard he tried to deny it he still felt for her and always would. It looked like in the short time Angel had been gone, his family had been taken away from him. The family that he'd wanted his entire life had been stolen from him by a worthless man. For that and in that instance, he hated Spike more than he ever had.
However seeing Katheryn hide behind him, he knew that she trusted the other vampire. For this reason and this reason alone, he wouldn't do anything about Spike just yet. Not in front of Katheryn, he didn't need her to be any more afraid than she already was. At first he had ignored Willow's question. Not out of rudeness because he had no beef with Willow and was very thankful for returning his soul to him, yet again. However he simply hadn't been paying attention to anything other than his little sister, to whom was actually still hiding behind the other vampire's duster. The second though that he heard Willow tell Katheryn that Spike would come with her, his eyes flickered to her with anger. Quickly he wiped the anger off his face. If Katheryn needed Spike to come with her, he would let Spike come over there. He wanted so badly to just rip the blonde vampire's head clean off, but this wasn't the time nor the place.
Moving his orbs back to his sister's, they seemed to plead with her again. "It's me...I promise, I won't hurt you, he's gone. Please come to me Katheryn" he begged, not caring how pathetic he looked or sounded at the moment. Next, he did something that surprised even himself. This wasn't anything that he had expected himself to do, but he was desperate in that moment. His eyes traveled upwards and to Spike's, seemingly looking to him for help. If Katheryn trusted him, he might be able to coax her over to Angel. It killed him to ask Spike for help considering what he'd done to Buffy, and considering that he was so close to his sister, but it seemed his only option. This would be the moment that Angel would truly know if Spike had really changed or not. His eyes bored into the vampire's, sincerely needing his help on this one, much to his own dismay. - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She watched the scene in front of her with almost bated breath, though in all honesty she was fairly lifeless. She could feel the dark cloud over her getting heavier and heavier. The last time she had felt like this was only moments after she had pushed herself out of her own grave. Her vision was hazy, everything around her seemed too hard, too bright, too...everything. She yearned for the simplicity of heaven in that moment more than she had in a good long time. She could clearly remember having no form, yet knowing that those she loved were safe.
This whole situation was just another thing to add onto the fact that if she wouldn’t have been brought back life would be a lot better for all those involved. She knew that Giles nor Anya realized that she knew what they had learned at the Bo-Joxes’ Eye or whatever it was (yeah, she still didn’t know the name nor did she care) but she had overheard the two talking about it one night and had almost thrown up when learning that it was because she had been brought back that the first attacked the slayer line. It threw everything off balance because she was alive.
She knew realistically that meant that the first attacking wasn’t actually her fault, it was Willow’s fault, Xander’s fault, Tara’s fault and Anya’s fault. She hadn’t asked to be brought back, hell fi she would have known they were planning on doing it she would have haunted their asses and scared the holy living shit out of them until they realized she didn’t want to come back. She was given no warning, no opinion, nothing…and yet she still felt guilty over something that was quite clearly nowhere near being her fault. Hell she already wore her guilt plainly every day over the potentials who had died in battle, and the ones who had died before that who were under her care. Now she had to carry the burden on every other potential slayer that was killed because she lived? Granted after what she had done to Angel maybe she deserved all she dealt with and more.
Coming out of her thoughts she focused her attention back on the group in middle of the room. Angel was still down on his knees, Kathy still hiding behind Spike and Willow standing next to them. She felt awful for Angel at that moment, more than she already did. She wanted to walk up to him and help him convince Kathy that it was alright, but she truly had no idea what to say. She also knew that her help would not be appreciated.
She heard Kathy's whimper when she asked him if he was really him and not Angelus. She usually would have said something like that she could tell the difference between the two but she had a feeling that would just cause Angel to make a snide comment in front of everyone and she really didn't want to reopen that can of worms right now. Willow reassuring the young vampire made her thankful that her best friend was there and she nodded her head at Willow once, thanking her without so much as saying a word.
As she nodded her eyes widened when she saw what was in the corner of the mat on the other side of the basement. How the hell did she not notice that it was there? She groaned as she saw the red fabric that had once been her bra before he destroyed it earlier. She had to figure out a way to get to it before any of them saw it. This was definitely not good. She wasn't sure who she feared seeing it more...Angel or Spike. If Willow saw it she'd keep it to herself until they were alone. If Kathy saw it she probably wouldn't think anything about it. Angel would probably give her that hurt look again that she wasn't sure if she could handle and Spike would most likely come after her with a rail road Spike and show her exactly how he earned his nickname.
She looked back at the group standing in front of her and started to inch over to the corner, hoping she'd get it before they noticed she was moving.
