Cripes. The little hands of the little vampire still clenched Spike’s duster when they should be clasped around her brother’s neck. Her outright refusal and following questioning of her brother’s identity kind of made the mood in the room just go dark and heavy, mostly because of Angel. Spike gave a little sigh. It wasn’t really that the blond vampire gave a whit about Angel’s feelings, but rather that Kathy needed to know that the monster she feared had been locked away. That everything was calm now, at least for her. By the way they hadn’t even looked at each other, Spike was sure that something had happened between Angel and Buffy but his main concentration was on trying to soothe Kath. Spike would get the information out of Buffy sooner or later. Besides, he and the Slayer hadn’t finished their conversation/ brawl from the last night at the motel room, so a discussion of one kind or another was going to happen. Spike’s gaze lifted from the ground to Willow as the red-headed witch attempted to placate Kathy and suggested that Spike go along with her. His mouth twitched a bit at the thought, knowing that all Angel wanted to do was give Spike a good kick in the shins. But as he looked back towards the crestfallen vampire, Spike was confused to see his ‘grandsire’ looking up at him, his eyes speaking of his need for help. In most any other situation, Spike would have used the opportunity to arrogantly swagger, brag and bitch at Angel, but Spike wasn’t completely stupid and it was possible for him to handle things with a spot of decorum and sensitivity. Turning back to the little vampire, Spike gently took her hands from his leather coat. He felt the tension running all through her small frame, and after a bit of deliberation, picked Kathy up in his arms again. If she could not walk, Spike would carry her. His steps were measured, trying to be conscious if Kath was becoming more frightened or if he needed to approach slower. But in no time at all, the three vampires were all but an arm’s length away from each other. Spike set the little girl down in front of her brother, though his hand remained on her shoulder, a reassuring touch that he could easily release when the girl decided to finally fling herself into Angel’s arms. Hopefully Angel wouldn’t start to foam at the mouth over Spike doing all this, but it was all in the service of reuniting them, so Spike couldn’t say he cared much. But there was one more thing Spike wanted to do. ”Look at his eyes, love. You’ll see it.” Spike murmured to the little girl. In one way, the British vampire was referring to Angel’s soul. Spike, of course, had sensed it relatively easily, since he had been looking for it. He knew that Buffy coming back alive meant that Willow had done the job right, but seeing it with his own eyes allowed Spike to relax a bit and be less vigilant. The other way he meant it was that both siblings had the same dewy, brown puppy eyes, which Angel had tried to use on his sister to no effect. But at this distance, Spike was certain Kath would be able to tell. The girl was emotionally young, but had more maturity than some would credit her with. Even so, Spike still hovered over the little vampire, just in case Kathy needed him. He certainly hoped she wouldn’t turn to him again. Kathy was his priority, but the blond vampire couldn’t help but be distracted by Buffy’s distance from the rest of them, and a part of him yearned to go to her, find out what was going on. He stared in the Slayer’s direction for a moment before dropping his head back to Angel and his baby sister. One thing at a time. +++ TAGS: Kathy, Willow, Angel, Buffy WORD COUNT: 659 NOTES: The entire time I was reading this thread I was all, "OMG. OMG. OMG, OMG, OMG!"

atheryn 'Kathy' Anne O'Connor stared. She did what Spike said and stared into his eyes. She heard Willow say that she was sure that it was Angel. So she listened to Spike and looked. She could see the deep brown pools that were classic Liam…but she could also see the pain, the guilt, the love, everything that made her Angel…Angel. She knew in that moment that it was really him and not the other one. She had heard people call him Angelus but she didn’t care what the demon’s name was. All she would ever know him as was the demon who wore her brother’s handsome face who murdered her. Before she could even think about her actions she released Spike’s jacket and bounded over to Angel, throwing herself into his waiting arms with as much strength as she could muster. She gripped onto his shirt and buried her head into his chest, tears streaming down her cheeks as she clung to him. She never wanted him to leave her again and she would make damn sure that it wouldn’t. She didn’t know what happened, but she was determined to find out and make sure it never happened again. She would do anything to make sure her and her brother could stay together. “My Angel.” She whispered, and this time it was true. The last time she had muttered it was right before the demon sunk his teeth into her neck and took her life away, but this time she could feel that it was him and she was never more grateful for that more than she was at that moment. “I missed you.” She whispered softly, her tiny hands gripping his shirt as tight as she could, knowing that there was a chance she would tear it though not caring enough to stop. “Never leave me again.” She told him, but it came out sounding more like begging. She didn’t want to lose him and she wouldn’t if she had anything to say about it. She might be a tiny little vampire with barely any strength but if there was one thing she was it was stubborn. She was a stubborn little thing and when she wanted something she usually got it…and she wanted her brother and her to have a happy life together…and that’s what she would get. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Willow watched as poor little Kathy was still sacred to go near Angel, she did feel bad for him. You could see just by the look on his face that he really wanted his sister to come to him, he really wanted to hold and hug her. But Willow knew that little vamp in time would feel safe enough too go to him, she really had missed her brother after all. Since the day Angel lost his soul Kathy didn’t say anything anyone really, except for Buffy and Spike. Willow didn’t get it but for some reason that girl really had a thing for old Spike, which is surprising because Angel hates him most of the time. Willow could tell that Buffy was happy that she was trying to look out for Kathy just by the look she was giving her. All she could do was give her looks letting her know how she felt, because for some reason she was just staying away from the rest of the gang. It troubled the Witch wanting to know what was on her best friends mind. She wished so much that she could just go talk to her, but she knows Buffy wouldn’t want that right now. All that matter now was getting Kathy to her brother and letting her know it was safe. The witch then watched as the blond vampire was going to attempt to take the girl to her brother, Willow just hoped that everything was going to go ok. With Angel not being such a big fan of Spike this whole thing could go nuts, lets just hope for Kathy’s sake they don’t. The little vamp had left his arms grabbing on to her brother tightly, Willow heart wanted to melt when she heard her say my Angel. It was such a sweet reunion that the witch couldn’t help but shed tears. “Aww this is sweet” She then got on her phone and begin to take a picture of how sweet they looked. “I just have to take a picture they look so freaking cute.” Willow love how much they really did care for each other, so seeing this made her feel like she really did a job well done. It made her even happer to see that Angel was back to them. - - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - - -Even though he had asked Spike for his help, Angel knew he wouldn't get it. Honestly it had been a desperate attempt all in all. To ask one of the people he despised most to help him out in a situation hadn't been the smartest option. However it had basically been the only option Angel had at this point. Katheryn wasn't tempted by his coos and didn't want to trust him. He couldn't blame her, being that Angelus had been the one to kill her. Not change her, no that had been Darla, but he'd drained her and left her to die. Since Angelus wore the same face as him he knew how frightening it had been for her, knowing that he was out there. Knowing that he'd caused his sister to fear him again made him feel ashamed. He couldn't help it but it didn't make him feel any better about it.
Watching as his fellow vampire turned his back to him, he knew that Spike wasn't going to help him. Surprisingly it didn't seem to shock him as he'd been expecting it. Although he hadn't been expecting what Spike then did with his back turned. He actually picked up Katheryn and began carrying her over to Angel. Brown eyes widened as he awaited for his sister to finally come to him. Part of his mind almost didn't want to believe the fact that Spike had actually helped him...despite their differences. Angel still wanted him dead for what he'd try to do to Buffy, but it still had surprised him. Nothing however could make him forget what Buffy had told him, despite him being currently upset with her.
The words to Katheryn registered with Angel but he paid no attention. Right now he was focused on her only. Plus despite Spike helping him, he didn't want to look at him again. It had killed his pride enough to silently ask him for help, he couldn't do it again. Finally it happened, the moment he'd been praying for.
Katheryn looked to him, really looked to him. It was almost as if she could see through to his soul, which was a good thing. Feeling her jump in to his arms he knew he would never let her go. His arms wrapped around her immediately, pulling her even closer than she'd already been to him. Although she could smell Spike's scent on her he tried to ignore it for right now. He had been waiting and praying for this reunion and he was going to have it.
Hearing her mutter his name one of his hands moved to the back of her head. Holding her tightly he began to stroke her hair in an attempt to calm her. "I've missed you too..more than you can ever imagine" he whispered back to her, not caring one bit that Spike was right next to the two of them. Snuggling into her he simply enjoyed seeing her again for a moment. Despite everything he had done to her, how many times he'd left her, she still came back to him. Overcoming her own fear had been a great feat. He was elated to have her back in his life. Now if he was lucky, he could take Spike out of hers. That would come later however. Right now he was just focused on seeing her. Again he felt his heart breaking as she begged him to never leave her again. Pulling back only to look her in the eye, he shook his head. "Never again. I know how scared you must have been...I'm sorry for that" he told her softly, moving his fingers to wipe away her tears. In the background he moved to look at Willow quickly as she took a picture of them. It seemed like a strange thing for the witch to do at a time like this but he wasn't worried about it right now. Out of the corner of his eye he caught Buffy silently making her way over to a corner of the basement. His eyes flickered to see where she was going. Seeing a small lacey, red fabric in the corner, he immediately knew what it was. Her bra. Or it had been, but it now looked quite shredded and destroyed. It angered him to see it but he didn't want Spike to blow up on her. No matter how much she deserved it, he didn't want Katheryn to be around for when he actually did see it. Quickly looking back to his sister he hoped no one had noticed Buffy as he had. [/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - - -Tag: Buffy, Spike, Kathy, Willow. - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -The blonde continued to watch those in the middle of the room, her eyes trained on them in order to make sure that they didn’t notice what she was doing. She knew she would quite literally be thrown into a wall if either vampire caught on to what she was doing. Okay, so that wasn’t entirely true. If Angel caught her he would just give her a look that displayed how angry, hurt and disgusted with her he was…Spike on the other hand would have no problem throwing her into a wall and making it known how unhappy he was with her. Either way it wasn’t a risk she was willing to take.
She watched as Spike and Willow gave the small vampire encouraging words about Angel. She watched as Kathy sprung into her brother’s arms and gripped him as hard as she could. She watched as Spike kept his eyes trained on the pairing, making sure that both brother and sister were alright. She watched as Willow got a tiny bit misty eyed at the reunion that she herself felt as if she had no business watching. She finally made it over to the corner and grabbed the offending item, putting it behind her back quickly. She needed to make it to the stairs before making some excuse in order to put it in her room. Unfortunately that was going to be easier said than done as it would put her directly in the path of the group since she had to walk by them in order to get to the stairs.
Seeing Angel looking at her made her want to let out a yell but she kept it in, seeing as he looked away from her just as suddenly. Stuffing her torn up bra into her back pocket (which of course left a bulge but not that big of one) she leaned against the wall, trying to figure out a way to do this without getting caught. She wasn’t worried about Angel saying anything any longer since he refused to even acknowledge her presence, so it was really only Spike she had to worry about. Again, not sure if that was a good or a bad thing but either way it was the truth.
Walking over to the group (making sure to stay far away from Angel and Kathy) she slinked around them, always keeping her back towards the wall, not letting Spike or Willow see the offending item in her back pocket. “I need to patrol.” She stated softly, not wanting to break up the heartfelt reunion between the two vampires. “I’ll be back later.” She told them and turned around to head up the steps, hoping she’d make it before anyone asked any questions.

After Kathy had all but launched herself at her brother, Spike stepped away, relieved that he could finally leave the boarding house. Kath was happy and safe and that was all that mattered. Hell, it would also mean that less of his cigarettes would be wasted by the little vamp grabbing and crushing them before Spike could smoke them. He thought about jumping back into Willow’s picture just to spite Angel, but really, why ruin the moment and have everyone on him? He was pissing some people off simply by still being there. Instead, he had retreated back closer to the stairs, trying not to gag and roll his eyes at the saccharine display of sibling affection. Instead, his focus could finally relocate on the Slayer, who seemed to be trying to quietly dismiss herself. ”Buffy, wait,” He all but dashed after her. Spike had no idea what he was doing, but it just seemed wrong of him to let Buffy go like this. Not only did he not want to be in the dark about whatever tragic saga that Angel and the Slayer just had, but if there was a slim chance he could do something for her, Spike would take it. Chances were they’d end up in some field slugging it out, but that was a type of therapy they both understood. Screaming and hitting. It was actually rather effective. Although, with how listless Buffy was acting, Spike wasn’t sure that even he could rouse the Slayer to action. But then a strange scent hit the vampire—something that was definitely Angel. Well, Spike certainly didn’t think that Buffy was trying to smuggle out some memento of her lover’s, but impulse and curiosity won out over common sense again, and the blond vampire snaked his arm behind Buffy and plucked whatever it was that had the scent from her back pocket with two fingers. He jerked his hand back and cupped in it what he felt to be some kind of fabric. It was only a second before Spike realized where this fabric must have come from—and with the scent of both Angel and Buffy being so fresh on it, there was only one sickening conclusion he could come to. With the huge argument they just had, how could he not have come to that conclusion? ‘What is this?’ Spike mouthed to the Slayer, shoving the scrap of bra back into Buffy’s hands. He felt himself not being able to hold back and his voice rose to a strained, fierce whisper, ”Don’t tell me you did what I think you did.” Regardless, Spike forced his voice back up and layered his normally glib tone over the anger, not really sure if one bled into the other, nor did he really care if his tone spoke of his fury. His words seem to be blurring together though, as everything he said came in harsh rapid fire, ”Patrol? Right then, sounds fun. Let’s go.” And with that, the blond vampire grabbed Buffy’s arm and made to drag her up the stairs with him. +++ TAGS: Kathy, Willow, Angel, Buffy WORD COUNT: 514 NOTES: Let’s stir up some trouble, shall we?

atheryn 'Kathy' Anne O'Connor cried. She felt the wet tears roll down her face and yet she did nothing to stop them. She usually hated crying in front of people, especially people that she didn’t know that well or those who she wanted to make a good impression on. She had a feeling that she would be extremely embarrassed not only about the tears rolling down her face but also of the clinginess that she had been exuding towards Spike and Buffy over the past several days. She usually while yes did tend to be peoples shadows who she liked, she didn’t always stay around them as much as she had the past few days. Hearing him say how much he missed her was like music to her ears. She wasn't sure why but she had always had the fear that when she found her older brother again that he wouldn't want her anymore. He had after all technically killed her even if he wasn't in the body t the same time. It had been his hands around her throat, his teeth buried into her neck. While his soul and his conscious weren’t there...it was his body. So her fear was justified but it was still annoying. She hated being afraid of the man who had essentially raised her but then again when were fears ever truly realistic? "I didn't even really see him so it wasn't really that he scared me...it was just the memories of everything that sort of freaked me out." She told him, trying to downplay it a bit. She didn't want him to feel bad and definitely didn’t want him to know how terrified she had truly been. She continued to essentially lay in her brother's arms, feeling secure again for the first time in a long time. Yes she felt secure with Spike and Buffy, but there was nothing like having her brother's arms around her to make her feel safe in the world. It was pretty much the same way little girls feel about their daddies. No one gives hugs the way that daddies do, no one makes things better the way that daddies do. In all honesty Angel was her father, just without the title. He had done what a father would do, he calmed her, he made her feel safe, he protected her. That was all she wanted and while she had never had that with her own father, her older brother more than made up for it. Hearing Spike's angry voice from behind her she pulled away from Angel though stayed in his arms, turning around right as she watched Spike grabbing Buffy's arm in what looked like a painful grip. Whimpering a small whimper she tried to hide in Angel's shirt, not wanting to see any fighting today. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Willow was just in aww to how sweet this was, she was so happy to see Kathy at peace again. No more sacred little vampire, no more tears and no more worried about never seeing him again. Angel was back to keep her safe she didn’t need to be sacred anymore. Seeing how happy Kathy was made Willow feel even that much more happy to what she had done for them, it put a big smile on her face. The witch couldn’t help her own tears though that continued to run down her face, but it was just so beautiful she didn’t care if she looked like a big baby to everyone. It had been a tough road to get back to this point, which is why she isn’t going to stop till she finds away to make the soul permanent once and for all. But then the witch had noticed Angel looking at something, like something was up with Buffy. When Willow looked over all she could see was the Slayer trying to hide something, but what? Buffy was acting really strange to the point she was starting to wonder what was wrong. But She knew that she wouldn’t talk to her now not with Angel around anyway, she thought about going outside for them to talk but Kathy might worry to much about them. So she was lost on what to do at this point, all she could do was wait. But it continued to bug Willow, what was it that Buffy was trying to hide. What was down here that no one could see? Not to long after that Buffy said that she needed to go patrol, something that Willow though she wasn’t going to do tonight. But it seemed as though she was wrong. “See ya later Buff”. Not long after that Spike had begin to try and start another fight with Buffy, asking about a bunch of stuff he didn’t need to be asking right now. Not with Kathy here right now it wasn’t good for her at all. But it seemed the vamp didn’t care about anyone other then him, what else was new.She knew that right now Buffy really didn’t need it, she watched as Spike begin to drag her up the stairs. And when Willow saw she become furious, She wasn’t having that not now! Willow ran over and begin to yell back at Spike. “What is it with you dragging woman places, Really Spike its getting old!! You really needed to stop battering Buffy she don’t like you that much to let you do that!” Willow said getting so mad she could feel her powers just inching to get out. - - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - - - Seeing Katheryn cry made Angel want to walk out into the sunlight it hurt him so much. To know that he was the cause of the tears absolutely broke him. However he was desperately hoping in this moment that maybe, just maybe, these were actually tears of happiness. That she was glad he was back and that the tears weren’t because he’d left her in the first place. His thumbs reached up to wipe away her tears as they came, not being able to stand to see her crying. ”Shh…don’t cry” the vampire cooed to the little one, still wiping away each individual tear as they came. Even if Angelus hadn’t come to her, he understood why she was so afraid. Angel nodded, ”I know…you’ll never have to be afraid again, I won’t let it happen” he promised. Holding her tightly his eyes widened as she pulled away, though she didn’t go too far. Angel hadn’t been paying attention to anyone else in the room since she’d come to him, other than the quick look he’d given Buffy. As his eyes traveled to the scene unfolding before him, he felt the anger slowly rising within him. Though he knew he should simply ignore it for Katheryn’s sake, he felt like he couldn’t. Watching as Spike grabbed Buffy in anger, Angel gently turned Katheryn around to look her in the eyes. A hand reached out to her cheek, wiping away the last remnants of tears from her tiny face. ”Katheryn…I need you to go stand by Willow, just for a moment…I’ll be right back” he told her softly, leaning in to give her a tender kiss on the forehead as a father would kiss their daughter. She seemed unsure but stood up, taking her by the hand and walking with her over to the Willow. He looked to Willow briefly as to ask her to take Katheryn, to not allow her to look at the scene before them. Whether or not Katheryn was watching him as he walked over to the two blondes, he wasn’t sure. Despite being angry with Buffy…he wasn’t going to let this happen right in front of him. Anger flashed in his eyes and as he made his way over to Spike, he went to rip his arm away from the slayer’s and spin him around. He didn’t hit him just yet, he wasn’t sure if he would need to, and hoped he wouldn’t for Katheryn’s sake. ”Willow’s right, she’s had enough Spike. She told me what you did to her…” he said, cold eyes boring in to the other vampire’s. And then a switch seemed to flip within the almost three hundred old vampire. It seemed that since he’d been back, he had been a bit different. Though most wouldn’t like this side of him, he no longer cared. With this, he continued to threateningly stare into Spike’s eyes as if challenging him. ”If you touch her again, I’ll kill you. And this time? I won’t miss” he said through grated teeth. They would all know what he was referring to; to the night that Angelus had staked Spike, only nearly missing his heart as if to leave him as a message. Still he refused to look at Buffy. He was still furious with her, but even being furious he couldn’t help but protect her. Plus he didn’t want Katheryn to see Spike abusing Buffy like he so calmly did. It wasn’t okay, and it certainly wasn’t going to happen right in front of Angel, he would make sure of that.[/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - - -Tag: Buffy, Spike, Kathy, Willow. - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She was almost there, ALMOST there. Unfortunately as the song says 'sometimes almost aint enough' as before she reached the stairs she heard Spike call out her name. She thought briefly about pretending that she hadn't heard him (though no one would believe her since she was one of the few people who had a bit of enhanced hearing but still, she could try couldn't she?) but before she could get away she felt Spike's fingers graze her back pocket and presumably pluck out her bra from within it. Usually she would have snapped at him about touching her ass or something else but she was too mortified as he held it up before shoving it back at her to say a damn word.
She looked up at him, guilt shown in her eyes like a homing beacon as he mouthed to her what it was. She couldn't answer him, he knew damn well what it was and she knew by the look in his eyes that he realized quite clearly what it meant. Yep, she was in for a most likely brutal ass kicking. Thank god Faith wasn't around; she'd probably join in on it. She could take one of them in a fight, but the two of them together would definitely not be an easy thing to win. Either way, she was pretty much screwed. She heard his harsh whisper but couldn't say a word. Really, what the hell could she say? 'No Spike I didn't do what you think I did' would be a complete lie and she wouldn't get away with it. Unfortunately 'Yes Spike I sure did fuck your sire who was soulless at the time and then stuffed his soul back into him so now his souled half who I'm in love with hates me' wouldn't go down very well either. No matter what she said or did nothing was going to make it better so she figured silence would be the best bet.
Feeling her arm being grabbed she groaned but didn't protest as she felt him try and drag her up the stairs. Her eyes widened when she heard Willow's voice trying to break up the fight. No no no! She definitely didn't need to get in the middle of it! She didn't want this to turn into another ugly fight the way it had a few days ago and she had a feeling if Willow and Spike got into it again that it would. She tried to give Willow a look but doubted she noticed it as she was currently glaring at Spike so hard that the blonde was surprised that there weren't holes showing up in Spike's sculls where Willow's eyes were focused.
Unfortunately it was worse than she had anticipated as before Willow could begin to yell at him she felt Spike's arm being ripped away by none other than the man she had betrayed. She watched with wide eyes as Angel spoke in hushed tone to the other vampire and cringed when she heard him mention what had happened before he got his soul. Jesus, could this get any worse? She knew she should break them up but she didn’t know what to do. Her feet were frozen to the floor and she couldn’t move, could only watch in morbid fascination. It was like a damn car wreck.

It seemed immediately after Spike had even touched Buffy that Willow and Angel were on him. It was no shock that the Slayer’s best friend began to threaten him, and only slightly less shocking that her lover (ex-lover? Estranged paramour? Blimey, who knew at this point?) came right after. Even little Kathy put her disapproval in the form of a scared whimper. In fact, the only one who didn’t seem to be offering any protest was Buffy herself. To Willow’s words, the blond vampire could only gave a disinterested glance before Angel pulled him away from the Slayer and forced Spike’s attention onto him. Well, considering how Spike felt, the blond vampire was happy to pour his bitterness into Angel rather than the Slayer, ”Oh, so you do know that Buffy is here? Color me surprised.”The posturing, the death glares, it was all very much the same to Spike, the same old routine that he knew would happen the moment he laid a hand on the Slayer. But then again, something in the vibe was different. But choosing to ignore that, the vampire raised his scarred eyebrow as Angel babbled on about something Buffy must have told him. Spike’s eyes narrowed and he muttered, ”That’s… all nice and vague.” Spike could admit that he had done a lot of things to the Buffy, both good and inspiring but also cruel and deplorable acts. Angel obviously wasn’t espousing any of the virtuous deeds, but that left a number of regrettable things, from unfair fights to chaining her up to confess his love and much worse. But as the two vampires continued to stare each other down, Spike could recognize a type of coldness he had never seen before creeping into his grand-sire’s eyes. It seemed that there was a bit of a silence before Angel asserted that he’d strike Spike down if he deemed it necessary. From the tone in his sire’s voice, Spike almost wondered if Buffy had let it slip about the reason why Spike had gotten his soul, but since he wasn’t a big pile of dust, he thought not. Then again, Kathy was right there and that might have had something to do with it. Either way, Spike would have to play his cards carefully. He felt like shoving the dark-haired vampire away from him, but he held his ground. If things got physical, Kath could jump in the middle again and no one wanted a situation where the little vamp could get hurt. Finally, Spike just gave a breathy chuckle and cocked his head to one side. Perhaps he could restrain his physical urge to punch Angel in the face, but what he felt could not be completely contained. He kept his voice low but an edge of contempt snuck through as he spoke, ”You think she’s some delicate flower when you can rush in and save her from the big bad Spike. ‘Cause I’m the one where it makes you feel real good when you beat me down. But look at you. You can say you’ll dust me, but you can’t even say her name. Don’t have the balls to deal with how you feel, so you’re just going to stew in this basement and feel sorry for yourself, aren’t you? Like a bloody coward.“”So much for true love.” The blond vampire gave one last snide remark before his eyes shifted to Buffy, who seemed even more disturbed and scared than the child vampire. It was just wrong to see her like this, brought down to being so broken by a wanker that wouldn’t even bother to work things out with her, who thought ignoring her would make the problems and pain go away. His gaze locked back to Angel, ”As far as I’m concerned, you lot have it backwards. Never met a girl who could take a hit like Buffy,” Despite his disdain, Spike forced his voice to become quieter. Although since most of the people in the room had advanced hearing, it was a bit pointless, ”And as much as I’ve done, I don’t think I’ve ever tortured her as much as you have, Peaches. You want to take it out on me, I’m game. Set the time, say the word, and I’ll be there.”+++ TAGS: Kathy, Willow, Angel, Buffy WORD COUNT: 714 NOTES: Augh, how did this post get this long?! atheryn 'Kathy' Anne O'Connor nodded. She had heard her older brother tell her to go stand by Willow and she did as she was asked, standing next to the red head who she really didn’t know all that well. She usually was not one to be around people she didn’t know. However Angel trusted her, Buffy trusted her and Spike seemed to trust her, so that was good enough for her. She stood there silently, watching as her older brother strode over to Buffy and Spike seemingly highly upset. Her brother wasn’t one to wear his emotions on his face but she could tell by the way he was walking and holding himself that he was restraining himself from doing something he might regret later. She had seen this stance on him when they were human several times when it came to altercations between he and their father. Their father had never been a man who coddled anyone. He knew what he wanted and how he wanted it and if anyone disagreed with him then they were punished. Kathy was 11 when she was turned and the year before that her father had already started talking about who she was to marry. This had enraged Liam back then (and her as well) and he and their father had gotten into it more than once, and she had seen that stance then. She knew this wasn’t going to go over well but what she didn’t understand was what had happened in the short amount of time to anger him so. She watched as Buffy almost backed away into herself, looking like she wanted to break it up but didn’t know how. She didn’t know the blonde girl as well as she knew Angel (for obvious reasons) but she did know her well enough to know that she didn’t ever let someone push her around and would always stand up for herself. So why was she standing there looking like a deer in the head lights? It didn’t make any sense to her and it wasn’t something she liked to see. Ever since she had met the blonde she had thought of her as another pillar of strength just like her brother, now seeing her like this…it scared her. She wanted her to get in the middle of it, wanted to break up the fight that was seemingly brewing between her older brother and the other vampire who she had started to care about like a brother. She knew she wasn’t supposed to be watching but she couldn’t help it. She refused to let Angel out of her sight for fear that he would slip away from her again, be it disappearing all together or turning back into the monster that wore his face, so how could she not see this? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~This was getting ridiculous how many more times was Spike going to try and start a fight with Buffy, it really was getting old and quite frankly Willow was getting tired of it. It might have not been the best choice of Buffy to sleep with Angelus if that’s what she did, but it really wasn’t there decision to tell her what she could and couldn’t do. She has won that right to do what she wants from saving the world time after time again. All though Willow couldn’t lie it might have not been smart choice sleeping with Angelus, But she also has made some not so smart choices so Willow had no room to talk there. Willow had about had it with Spike and was about to let him have it, she was done being a nice witch. She didn’t like him all up on Buffy like this, so the redhead yelled once more. “Look captain peroxide! Get off her back she don’t need your crap right now! She has gone threw enough, leave her be and mind your own business!” She used something that Xander had called him in the past, it made her realize that she must have missed him. One thing is for sure that if he was here Spike and him would be going at it fist fighting, so it was probably better that he wasn’t. He all ready had a bad eye, so he didn’t need to go breaking anything else. Willow then had heard Angel say something about Kathy staying by her side, which upset her she wanted to take care of Spike once and for all. But she also knew that Buffy would want her to watch out for Kathy and stay out of this. She could also see it in the Slayer eyes by the way she was looking at her, she had wanted her to stand down. So she knew then that she needed to stand back and quit fighting with Spike. But Willow wasn’t to worried about Spike not getting what was coming to him, Angel was dealing with him now. All the witch had to do was sit back and enjoy what was coming to him. She made sure that the little one was close to her as they stood back from the fighting. Willow then leaned down to her level looking the cute vamp in her eyes. “Its going to be ok Kathy, everyone is just a bit wacky from everything that has happened you know. But it will all work out don’t worry, I’m going to make sure it does.” Word Count- 440 Tagged- Buffy, Spike, Kathy and Angel Outfit- Click to see Willow's Outfit.Note- I'm sorry if this post is bad, i just couldn't get with it tonight. ~~~~~~~~~~~

- - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - - -Out of the corner of his eye he seen as Buffy cringed at him having pulled Spike away from her. He hoped that she hadn’t taken this act of chivalry as if all was forgiven. It certainly was not forgiven and he didn’t want her to think that it had been. However his focus was not on Buffy right now, it was on Spike. Hearing Katheryn whimper and being frightened, he wonder if right now was the time for this. However his anger was taking control of him and he no longer cared if this was the right time or not. Instead of responding to his comment about Buffy being there, he simply glared. Right now he was not in the mood for Spike’s shit and if he kept it up, things were going to get very nasty. He had to admit that he’d been wanting to kick the blonde’s ass for a very long time. Since he’d come to Richmond in the first place, actually. Angelus had done it for him but that wasn’t enough. Now that he knew about what Spike had tried to do to Buffy, things were different, things were more real and intense than ever.
With a devilish sounding chuckle, Angel simply shrugged off Spike’s comment about being vague. If Katheryn hadn’t been there at the time, he would have come right out and told him what he knew. However she was here and she didn’t need to know what Spike had done. She didn’t need to hear how her temporary protector had tried to rape someone very dear to the little girl. Another eery chuckle came from him, starting to sound mildly similar to Angelus. ”Ha. A delicate flower? Far from it” he said, even sneering at her as his eyes traveled to her and back to Spike again quickly. He had seen the things she’d done with his other half and there hadn’t been anything delicate about it. So desperately he wanted to just let his anger take control of him. To spew out everything he had to say to not only Spike but Buffy as well. And yet he couldn’t. His daugh --sister was here, and he refused to lose it in front of her. Doing the best he could to restrain himself he spoke once again, inching closer to the other vampire in front of him. ”You’re going to talk about me and my relationship? What happened to Drusilla Spike? I very clearly remember her running off with some slime demon, and watching you stew in your own shit with a broken heart, wishing for her return.” With venom in his voice, he didn’t stop there. ”I’m not the coward. Only a coward would try to rape a woman simply because she didn’t want him. Oh wait, isn’t that what you did?” another eery laugh. Even though he hadn’t wanted to go into this in front of Katheryn, he couldn’t help but come out and say it. He wanted it to be very clear to Spike that he knew about it, and that he would pay for it. At the comment about true love, his eyes shifted to the slayer in the room again. Right about now she looked legitimately traumatized. If Angelus hadn’t ruined their relationship then this argument with Spike really would have. ”Again…only a coward hits a woman” he glared, clenching his fists at his sides. If Spike didn’t shut the fuck up soon, he was going to lose it. His return had been bad enough and he definitely didn’t feel like doing this. As Spike taunted him, he didn’t take a moment to think. He didn’t want to think, didn’t care to say anything in response. Instead he simply reared back his fist and sent in flying towards Spike’s nose as hard as he could. Putting all of his emotions into it, all of his anger, and not to mention Buffy’s blood that was coursing through his body. Spike had ample room to move out of the way, if he was quick enough. All he could think about as his fist moved to Spike’s face was whether or not Katheryn would forgive him for this. Right now wasn’t the time to worry about it, though it certainly would have helped ease the situation if he had thought of this before punching the other vampire.[/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - - -Tag: Buffy, Spike, Kathy, Willow. - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She cringed when she heard Angel's sarcastic comment about not being a delicate flower. Jesus, this was not at all good. She hated that this shit was escalating and yet for some reason her feet wouldn't move to stop them. Maybe it was because subconsciously she knew that this had been a long time coming. Angel and Spike had issues that had nothing to do with her and everything to do with their past. Sure she knew they also had issues in regards to her but still. This wasn't all about her so why should she invade on something that didn't concern her?
The sound of Kathy whimpering brought her back to reality and it reminded her of why exactly she had to be the one to break it up. Hearing Angel bringing up their past she knew this was going to get even more out of hand than it had already if she didn't do something. However before she could stop him she heard his comment about trying to rape a woman and froze. For a moment she was back in the bathroom in Sunnydale with Spike standing over her, telling her he would make her love him. She could still remember the feral look in his eye as he ripped open her robe and told her that she loved him. In that moment she couldn't breathe, couldn't think, all she could hear was the past that seemed to never want to stay buried.
Her breathing started to speed up and she desperately tried to quell it. She couldn’t freak out now, no. She couldn’t allow herself to break down again. Later, later when she was alone she’d cry for her past. Her past with Spike, her past with Angelus and her past with Angel…that she had never truly believed would ever be in the past. She would cry for it all…but now was not the time. Her heart was racing and she knew that they could both hear it and most likely smell the fear on her, but she would deal. She always did.
Hearing his final words she knew she had to deal with this now. She wanted nothing more than to thank Angel for protecting her while she didn’t deserve it but unfortunately he didn’t understand. She loved his protective impulse even though she had betrayed him but in this instance Spike had every right to be pissed at her. Walking the few steps over to the two vampires calmly she shook her head. “We aren’t doing this in front of Kathy.” She spoke to both of them yet she would only look at the wall behind the two, not wanting to look either one in the eye. “I feel awful enough about everything that’s gone down, please don’t add scaring Kathy to that list. I know neither one of you owe me anything but I’m begging you to not add anymore to my shoulders right now. I cannot take it. If not for me, then for her.” She told them, not knowing what else to say. Needing to get away from everyone and yet scared that when she left the room she would never see Angel again…she had no idea what to do.
