- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -Walking through the front door of the Salvatore Boarding House she felt a small bit of trepidation fill her as she thought about telling Stefan what they were going to do. She hadn’t told him really anything about who she had met while he had been off in his own little world (I.E. when he had been under Klaus’ compulsion with no humanity, she preferred her terms for it but you know, whatever worked) so he had no idea that they would be meeting up with a vampire slayer and the vampire slayer’s vampire lover today. She doubted he was going to be amused by her keeping it from him but really, when was she supposed to tell him?
She closed the door behind her and turned around, jumping as Damon had apparently heard her and felt the need to appear right in front of her to scare her. Luckily she didn't scream though her heart felt as if it was going to beat out of her chest. Smacking him with her bag she pushed past him, glaring at him as he laughed at her. Yeah, he was such a good friend, she thought sarcastically. She knew if she stayed and bantered with him he’d find some way to be an ass and personally she just didn’t feel like arguing today. Hearing a snide comment she bit back with a ‘go find Lexi’ before walking up the stairs and into Stefan’s room. She didn’t see him but the sound of water hit her ears so she figured he was in the shower.
Removing her bag from around her chest she set it on his bed before settling down onto it herself, closing her eyes as she settled herself into his many pillows that were drenched in his scent. It was a combination of his cologne and a scent that was purely him and she relished it, making a mental note to replace the shirts she had stolen from him with ones that actually smelled like him again. Hey, she was a girl, that was what she did.
She opened her eyes just in time to see Stefan walk out of the bathroom in nothing but a towel and it was clear by the way he didn’t acknowledge her that he hadn’t heard her come in. This surprised her since usually he heard everything that went on in this house however she and Damon had been fairly quiet and he had been in the shower so she guessed she could forgive him on that front. “Hey handsome, your running late.” She told him and giggled when he looked at her in surprise. “Yeah yeah yeah, I snuck up on you. We got places to go and people to see so scoot.” She told him teasingly, though they really did have someplace to be in less than an hour and she wanted to give him time to come to terms with what they were doing without giving him enough time to back out.

My Dearest Elena,
Sometimes it is so hard, sometimes I feel like I can't control it. The hunger, it is always there and I just wish it would go away sometimes. I just have to remember what I am doing this for. What I am fighting for. Elena. I won't give up.
Love Stefan Salvatore
That was all Stefan felt like writing today. There was so much going on in his life that words just didn't seem to convey his message right now. Words were such frugal things sometimes. They either were to strong and made everything worse, or they just didn't exist, to the point where it was impossible to use them to open up. This was one of those times, words seemed to be stingy today for Stefan. He closed his journal and got up from his desk. Elena wanted to do something tonight, but she herself was frugal on the details.
Stefan didn't mind surprises, most of the time, but he was really nervous on what Elena had planned. He went into his bathroom and stripped down to take a shower, to get ready for the date, or whatever she had planned. She didn't use the word date though, so he didn't know what to where, though knowing Elena, she wouldn't mind what he wore so long as she could help him take it off later if she wanted to. Smiling silently to himself as he got into his shower he let the warm water rain down on him, losing himself in thoughts.
Thoughts of Elena, Caroline, Lexi, Damon, Jeremy, everyone. That was what consumed most of his time, figuring out ways to make it up to them. Figuring out ways to get their forgiveness and support back. He could of sworn that he heard this front door open, and assumed it was Damon. Everyone seemed to be paranoid that if they left him alone for 5 minutes he would loose control again and go off the deep end. Stefan had no plans of doing that, not tonight, and hopefully not ever again. But that didn't stop people from worrying about it.
He finally had enough of his shower and got out, turning off the water and wrapping a towel around himself. He entered his room and turned to go over to his closet when he heard a familiar pretty voice that could belong to only one person, well two people, but the 2nd would never say such sweet things to him. He turned to look at his bed, where he saw Elena lounging. "Hey beautiful..." Stefan said simply approaching the bed, not worrying about only being in a towel, Elena had seen it all before, besides, she wasn't gonna complain.
"Or we could just stay in tonight?" Stefan offered, knowing that she wasn't gonna go for it. Stefan sat down on his bed next to Elena, looking her over. "If your wish is for me to hurry, the least you can do is tell me what you have planned Miss. Gilbert." Stefan spoke to her grabbing her hand in his and kissing it gently before returning to his closet to start going through it while she tells him all the details of her plans for the evening hopefully. As incentive to get the story from Elena, as soon as Stefan was standing behind the wardrobe, he removed the towel and threw it to Elena with a chuckle.

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -Her first day in what felt like ever and yet here she was instead of vegging on the couch or sleeping all day (which she’d never do since she didn’t have that much talent in the sleep area but still, was nice to dream about) she was getting ready to meet Elena and her boyfriend Stefan. She hadn’t informed Angel of this meet and greet yet and she could almost see the annoyance on his face (well, he’d pretend not to be annoyed but she knew him better than most) which was the main reason she hadn’t told him yet.
Granted she had told Angel about Stefan and Elena and how the two of them reminded her of the two of them. She remembered their impromptu cuddle session a few days before hand and the questions that she had answered. She could tell he was a bit uneasy about the amount of vampires that were off limits in the small town of Mystic Falls however she also knew he would abide by her desires if only to make her happy. At least until someone got hurt, after that all bets were off. She couldn’t help but be proud of the man who had in a lot of ways grown up since he had lived in Sunnydale.
Grown up was a bad way to put it since he was almost 250 years old, grown into himself might be a better way to say it. He had become the leader that she always knew he could be and while he had made a few decisions that they hadn’t spoken about that she knew she wouldn’t agree with she also had to smile at the pride that he now lived to help other people instead of living specifically for her…though a tiny part of her grieved for the time when he lived for no one other than her.
Shaking those thoughts out of her head she continued to get ready, sliding on her cross necklace that Angel had given her when she was sixteen years old before walking to her closet and sliding on a pair of skinny jeans that were comfortable as well as fashionable and a three quarter length scoop neck shirt tin a dark gray. She tended to wear dark colors to hide herself during the night while patrolling while at the same time she wasn’t one to go anywhere without at least looking semi nice.
She picked up a pair of knee high boots before reconsidering. She knew that she could easily wear a pair of five inch heeled boots and patrol in them, she had done it for years. However today she felt like being comfortable, plus she knew that Angel preferred when she fit perfectly underneath his chin and with flats she could cuddle up and be even shorter than she was with heels. Sliding on a pair of black ballet flats she walked downstairs to where Angel was waiting for her. She had told him she was taking him with her on patrol, not that they were meeting someone beforehand. "Let's go." She told him brightly, taking his hand and dragging him outside.
It was an overcast day so it wasn’t all the way dark though you could see it coming, however it was late enough that they didn’t need to worry about the sun randomly coming out. “We are meeting a couple people before patrol.” She told him suddenly as they walked towards the Falls which was only about a ten minute walk from the Boarding House. Realistically they could have driven but both were used to walking long distances so it gave them a little time to talk. “Hope you don’t mind.” She stated once they had arrived. Elena and Stefan weren’t there yet but that was okay, she knew they were a bit early.

------------------------------ ------------------------------ So the day had been somewhat uneventful as per usual, whilst the sun was at it's peak Angle had been half sleeping and doozing, despite the fact he found it harder recently to get any decent amount of sleep, due the the heavy footsteps of those upstairs coupled with the girlish giggles and sequels of the potential's. He had been sitting up in his bed, when Buffy came in and requested that he join her in her patrol tonight. Truth be told, Angel was somewhat curious as to why Buffy asked him to patrol with her.. not that he minded however, it was still odd. He couldn't actually recall the last time Buffy had asked him to join her. In fact since his return he had had to 'interrupt' her patrolling more than once in order to officially join her.
At any rate, he agreed without question despite the fact there were several questions he wish to ask himself. So, when dusk finally begun to settle, Angel emerged from his semi-slumber and made his way to his own en-suite bathroom. (the last thing he wanted was some girl accidentally walking in on him, or he walking into a girl whilst wearing little more than a towel. Having showered Angel was quick to dress (and yes, even adjust his hair) before heading up the stairs. Buffy had spent a majority of the day catching up on a few tasks for the house such as shopping among other things, that he hadn't really paid note to in truth. Buffy's previous question was why Angel currently stood downstairs waiting, whilst Buffy herself showered.
To top things off and to make matters seem even more questionable he too found it strange that she would insist the go patrolling this early considering it was barely even dark, the only reason he had agreed was the fact that it was overcast, therefore no need to be concerned about the sun; even though that didn't stop his worry of the sun suddenly appearing. With his hands, as per usual buried within his coat pocket, Buffy finally emerged to which he offered her a small smile. Her beauty never ceased to amaze him, without even trying, she was perhaps the most beautiful being he had ever laid eyes upon in his entire existence. To think, he had waited his entire life just for someone like her to come along, without even knowing.
"Ready now?" He questioned, opting not to tell her how long he had actually been standing there for. When she took his hand, removing it from his pocket, Angel took that as a yes before he was half dragged along behind her. What was so urgent that she felt the need to hurry? Once outside, Angel naturally prepared for the worst, he had never been out this early before. Still, grateful of the clouds he soon quickly fell into step beside her. "Remind me again why we are going out so early?" He questioned. To which was soon answered, so they were meeting people.. that figured. With a brief soft frown, Angel added. "Oh? and who exactly are we meeting?" he said, although for some reason he already had some feeling as to who it was..
When they finally stopped, Angel cast his dark gaze around before he rounded onto Buffy. "It wouldn't happen to be two particular people that you so commonly talk about? would it?" Angel queried. Buffy had mentioned them a few times in the past few weeks, a couple no less that were apparently similar to he and Buffy. Why was he not surprised, he didn't like this idea one bit (should it be them) He didn't trust people easily let alone another vampire. It was one thing to accept that there were others of his kind and another thing entirely to be told certain vampires were off limits. In spite of it all, deep down Angel loathed any vampire.. including himself. They were in his opinion demons, monsters, murders. Even with a soul, he would of happily taken his own life had he not been reminded over what he was trying to achieve, and save and what he had. Even if he thought he didn't deserve it.

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She grinned when he finally greeted her, loving how the word beautiful flowed from his lips as if it was a nickname, so effortlessly. She wasn't a vain person by any stretch of the imagination however what woman didn't want to hear compliments from the man that they loved? She would never turned down a compliment from Stefan however she also knew that he said them before he thought about them, not to get into her good graces like most men did. To him they just were and she loved him even more because of them. She gave a cute wave, not getting up as Stefan’s bed was the most comfortable bed she had ever slept on and it took a lot for her to get out of it once she was comfortable.
She watched with hooded eyes as he sauntered over to the bed, his chest glistening with the left over water with his shower and she bit her lip to stop herself from saying anything or letting out a reaction. He was well aware how much she loved his chest and his arms. The feeling of him wrapped around her was all she needed to feel safe and she loved it. "No, we can't stay in tonight." She told him, wagging her finger playfully when he sat down next to her. She couldn’t help herself as she leaned in and pressed a gentle kiss to the tattoo that she had yet to hear the story of yet she knew there was one there and she would ask one day.
"And how is that fun? You like to surprise me anytime you can, so I'm going to surprise you." She told him petulantly yet the teasing glint in her eye told him that she was just being playful. A kiss to her hand was his response before he got up and walked to his closet, though she didn't avert her eyes quick enough to see him drop his towel and that was when she finally relented and allowed a groan to slip through her lips. "Mean mean mean." She muttered, curling up on her side and pushing her head into his pillow so that she avoided watching him getting dressed. Not that she didn't want too but she knew she'd never be able to keep her hands off of him if she did.
Looking up after a few moments she grinned when she saw he was dressed. “Alright, let’s go Salvatore.” She told him, standing up and throwing her back over her chest before grabbing his hand and dragging him out the door. “BYE DAMON!” She yelled out behind them before she shut the door behind them and threw Stefan the keys to her jeep. “You drive.” She told him and slid herself into the passenger seat. Once he was in the driver’s seat she realized she would need to tell him where to go. “Head to the Falls but the Richmond side of the Falls. We are meeting a couple people there.” She told him before leaning her head back on the headrest, knowing today was going to be a long day.
It didn’t take much time before they were there and once the car was put into park she looked at the man seated beside her. “We are meeting up with a girl I met a few weeks ago and her boyfriend. Her boyfriend is a vampire but he’s a good one so just trust me okay?” She asked before jumping out of the car and waiting for him to get out before dragging him over towards the couple that she had seen from the parking lot. “Hey Buffy.” She told her before waiting to be introduced to the tall, dark and handsome man next to her.

The word he said to her, beautiful, came so easy for him, so naturally cause that is what he really thought about her. Stefan thought Elena was beautiful. Saying it to her was 2nd nature because he knew it was true. He mock pouted when she told him they couldn't stay in tonight but it didn't stop her from kissing his tattoo. He knew Elena was dying to know the origin of it, but Stefan wasn't telling any time soon. He knew that the suspense was probably better then the true story anyways, and he wanted Elena to have wild fantasies about it.
"Yeah but you like surprises." Stefan told her with a grin, implying that he doesn't like surprises, which was sort of true. Stefan didn't like walking in to the unknown, Lexi surprised him once a year with some grand birthday present that Stefan never seems to earn, but now he had to get surprises from Elena. The only surprise he wanted from her was to come into his room one day with her in high heels, and nothing else, standing in front of his bed. Now that would be a surprise he wouldn't mind in the least. This surprise, however, was pure torture for him.
Stefan just smiled at her, he knew that she really didn't find him mean, she probably liked this Stefan, the Stefan he rarely showed, the playful and fun Stefan. Elena also enjoyed watching him with no clothes on, rather she admitted it out loud or not, somehow he knew. Stefan wasn't conceded, but knowing that Elena liked his body gave him pride as he has worked on it his whole life, believe it or not, vampires do need to work out from time to time, and Stefan liked to treat his body like a temple and it showed for his girlfriend's pleasure.
Though he did admit he was teasing her in this moment as he knew they couldn't do anything for the time being at least. Finally he was dressed, before he could ask her if he looked ok, she was dragging him out of the house, screaming a good bye to Damon, Stefan did not do the same thing. He would stop her if he wanted to, but for some reason watching Elena Gilbert, all 5'7" and 120 pounds of her drag her boyfriend Stefan out of the Boarding house was amusing to him. She then threw him the keys and told him to drive. Stefan nodded and took his seat behind the wheel.
She then told him where to drive to, giving her another nod Stefan turned the key and started the Engine. This was Stefan's last chance to back out if he wanted to, but for some reason Stefan was to curious to do so. He drove to where she told him too, and then she told him what they were doing. A moment of protest entered Stefan's mind. Meeting a vampire and his human lover didn't sound like a grand time to Stefan. Before he could mutter his disapproval she was again dragging him behind her, this was a little more uncomfortable as Stefan was suppose to meet someone now.
Finally they got to the couple and Stefan looked at her. The girl, Buffy, Elena said her name was, looked normal enough buy radiated a power, strong and Stefan didn't doubt that if she wanted him dead then it would only be to easy for her. The guy, Stefan knew was a vampire as that was what Elena said, was big, tall and handsome, giving Stefan a run for his money in the looks department, and strong. Way stronger then Stefan. Two people that could kill Stefan if they wanted to and Elena thought this was a good idea? Time to turn on the old Salvatore Charm.

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She could feel a blush fighting to grace her cheeks though she was able to keep it down when he looked at her like he was when she had walked in the door. She berated herself on being embarrassed however this was Angel and when he looked at her like she was the most precious thing in his existence it did something to her. She had worried for a long time that the feeling that he cared about her above all others was gone when he left Sunnydale...but it was obvious that it wasn't. Even if she did have to share that place in his heart with Kathy, she was completely okay with that fact.
She giggled when she felt him not even attempt to resist her pulling him along. She could tell that he was a bit uneasy about being out but she ignored it for the time being. She knew that they would be okay since the sun hadn't been out all day and it was too late for the sun to be out at this time anyway. It wasn't dusk yet but it was fast approaching meaning that even if the sun did make an appearance it wouldn't be high enough in the sky to hurt him. She felt a pang of hurt hit her heart that he didn't trust her enough to know that she wouldn't put him in danger but she shoved it down, figuring she would dissect it later.
She barely heard his question about why they were leaving so early before she jumped into telling him that they were meeting people. She grinned back at him innocently as he rounded on her, her face the picture of innocence which was a clue right there that she knew he would not be amused by her statement. "Mayybeeee." She told him playfully before laughing and then sobering up, forcing herself to remember that she was an adult now and had to act like it...though there were days where she hated it.
She pulled him to the Falls where the bench that she and Elena had been on just a few days ago was and sat down, pulling on his arm until he sat down next to her. It was rare that Angel allowed himself to relax when they were out like this. He usually was all protector mode, keeping his eyes, ears and other senses open to potential danger. However today wasn’t about danger, it was about getting to know other people trying to learn more about each other. There was one time when Buffy would have rebelled at learning anything more than she had to, but now it interested her.
“Yes, we are meeting Stefan and Elena and I know I should have told you earlier but I knew you wouldn’t come so be mad at me if you want but I think it’s a good idea. You and him seem to have a lot more in common than you seem to realize. If nothing else, you two are probably two of the only vampires in existence to fall in love with humans and not anticipate turning them into vampires so bond over that if nothing else.” She told him, before backtracking a little bit. “Or you could bond over the fact that you were both seduced and then turned by women who I want to punch.” She stated with a bitter smile.
She heard Elena’s voice from behind her which cut off all comments from the big burly vampire next to her. “Hold that thought.” She told him and stood up where Elena had walked over to her, smiling and opening her arms to wrap the younger girl in a warm hug. “Hey there, you are looking better than the last time I saw you.” She told her before smiling at the man standing next to Elena. “You must be Stefan, I’m Buffy.” She smiled before motioning to the dark man standing at her side, alert as always. “And this is Angel. Angel, this is Elena and her boyfriend Stefan.” She introduced, hoping that this would go okay. She didn’t want anyone to say anything they would regret.

Why was he not surprised? of course he wasn't surprised this was just like Buffy to arrange something without his consent. As if the maybe had not been a give away? For a brief moment he thought about putting his foot down, and telling her that he would head back and.. sit in the dark. Like he enjoyed doing. This thought was even further likely as soon as he heard it was Elena and Stefan, Stefan being another vampire. Don't get him wrong.. Angel put up with vampires most of the time (Spike for example) but when he was about to meet a vampire, whom he didn't know, nor trust or had ever seen for that matter, it made things slight more tense in his mind. How could this even possibly be fun? Yet, by then they had already arrived at the bench, to where he was pulled down to sit beside her.
His expression bore one of annoyance.. he didn't like social gatherings or any social activity as it was, even more so when he wasn't told about it. When Buffy commented about what the two of them would have in common. Angel merely flashed her a sultry look. He wasn't impressed by the situation at all, but he would TRY to deal with it for Buffy's sake more than anything. Despite the fact she was earnest in the idea that it would be 'fun' and 'good' Angel wasn't having any of it, if anything he was even on higher alert than per usual. It had simply become a habit over time. However, Angel didn't have to say anything to express his annoyance. No.. it was evident in his silent gaze and indifferent expression.
"This is not a good idea." He muttered lowly, moment before he scented two figures approaching. Whom he presumed where Elena and Stefan. Swiftly he stood, his figure, tall and tense a sign of his obvious discomfort. His hands were buried promptly within his leather jacket pocket, as he cast his gaze towards the figure beside the small if not petite looking human. He was not about to smile, be polite and break into a conversation. He would, as always observe and assess before anything occurred. As Buffy embraced the small female, Angel's attention shifted towards the man named Stefan, as introductions were exchanged. Angel nodded curtly yet made no move to extend his hand.
Casting his dark gaze around he 'tasted' his surroundings.. everything seem fine, quiet as per usual. The only scent he could pick up where the three before him before he finally spoke. His tone stern.. and expectant. "Buffy has told me a great deal about the two of you." he added, although it was more of a statement than an opening of conversation. Perhaps he was being too harsh? but perhaps not? after all he didn't know either one of them at all, he had only gone by what he had heard. Elena matched his expectation, quiet.. vulnerable and seemingly kind hearted. Stefan on the other hand, was not what he would of pictured, for starters he was a some few inches shorter than Angel. He had however heard of Stefan's recent activities.. which was part of the reason why Angel was so cautious.

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -"Just cause I like surprises doesn't mean that I am not going to surprise you every once in awhile so deal." She told him playfully before moving out of his way so that he couldn’t entice her to come back to bed with him. She knew it wouldn’t take much before she gave into his romance novel charms that she and Caroline and Bonnie used to jokingly say that he had. Not that it was a joke because he really did remind her of a romance novel character but still, she also knew that behind his gorgeous face was also the most gorgeous soul she had ever had the pleasure of seeing and that was what made Stefan the man she loved.
She briefly thought about the surprise she had lined up for his Christmas present. Lexi while drunk one night had let loose that Lexi liked a confident woman in the bedroom. This was something that Elena had always known since even during their first sexual experience she had initially taken charge, only relinquishing it to him when she made it very clear that it was what she wanted and that she wasn’t going to let him go unless he forced her away. However she had known that he liked it when she took charge so even before Lexi let her in on Stefan’s little fantasy about her showing up in heels and nothing else it didn’t come to a surprise. She did have to say though that she was confident in herself and did plan on surprising Stefan with that (well, that as well as the trip out of town for the two of them only) for his Christmas present.
Once they were at the falls she could feel the hesitation in Stefan's hand as she pulled him along with her. She knew that he worried, not only for her life but for his as well. She probably should have given him the information that she had before they had showed up but she worried he would over react and she really wanted him to get to know these people. Something about them screamed goodness to her though she could easily feel how much power the vampire had. He radiated strength in a way that few did, really only the originals that she had met did. This worried her for a moment but she ignored it, instead hugging Buffy back before smiling at the introduction that she made.
“I’ve heard a lot about you.” She told the dark vampire with a timid smile. She didn't have to know him to see that this was obviously one of the last places he wanted to be. She briefly wondered how much Buffy had told him about her and Stefan but apparently he knew more than Stefan did as he stated that he had known a great deal about the two of them. "Okay well you are ahead of the game then since I didn't tell Stefan anything." She told him with an apologetic smile shot towards her boyfriend. "Sorry, it's just with everything going on I never found the time." She told him, hoping he wouldn't be too upset with her.
“Why don’t we all sit down and Buffy and I can try and explain what has been going on? I know I have some more questions and I’m sure Buffy does as well.” She stated, begging the blonde with her eyes to try and make this extremely awkward meeting a little less awkward. She was older after all, shouldn’t she be in charge?

"Hello Buffy, so your the infamous Buffy that Elena has told me nothing about." Stefan said with a grin, turning the charm on already. He smiled at her in a friendly fashion, if Elena trusted them, then he guessed he could give it a shot as well. Still, trusting someone that could potentially kill him was a risky proposition and Stefan really wasn't to thrilled about it and withed Elena told him what he was walking into beforehand so then he could of at least read up on them to find out if they would kill him, so then they have both factors in committing murder.
Stefan knew all to well what it was like to take a life and deep down, the demon in him, the metaphorical one, liked it. Stefan felt eternally guilty about that, but it was what he was and he couldn't help it, all he could do was stop said demon from coming out and playing. Stefan's eyes fell back on the burly vampire boyfriend of said Buffy. He held his hand out for him to shake, but when it became evident that the other man didn't wish to partake in classical pleasantries Stefan pulled his hand away slowly and place it back at his side.
Call Stefan old fashioned, but he liked to shake hands when he met someone, as both a sign of respect for the other person and a sign that the other person wanted to be a friend. This kind of pissed Stefan off, as now it seemed like he couldn't trust Angel. It was a silly thing that he picked up over 160+ years, but he could tell a lot by the way another man shakes his hand on rather or not they would be friends or foes. He shot Elena a glare, showing her that he was not happy in the least by the situation and that he wanted to go. He didn't glare often, but when he did, it was meaningful.
"Wish I can say the same for you two. You have me at a disadvantage." Stefan said, trying to turn on the charm again, but his voice couldn't help but have a smidgen of displeasure in it. Elena didn't tell him anything about these two, he didn't even know they existed before today, and them knowing all about him was not a comforting feeling in the pit of Stefan's stomach. If he made it home tonight in one piece, he would have to come up with some revenge on Elena for putting him in this awkward position like this with no warning at all.
Still the apologetic look on Elena's face got him to lighten up a bit. It was kind of his fault he knew nothing of these two and blaming her for his ignorance was not a very boyfriend thing to do. He smiled awkwardly at her, there was just no way he could stay mad at her, even if he wanted to. But now his anger was all focused on Angel, the man that, in Stefan's mind at least, disrespected him at least by not offering a handshake. "Its fine, I was kind of... self absorbed." Stefan said, from the sound of it the two strangers knew it was more then that, he just hoped they wouldn't call him on it.
Every time that what he did was brought up, Stefan couldn't help but begin a huge guilt trip, Angel probably knew what that was like, being a vampire as well, but Stefan didn't want to think about it in front of near strangers. Stefan nodded at his girlfriends request, moving normally and casually to take his seat next to Elena and across from Angel. Angel seemed on edge as it was and Stefan didn't want to make things worse. "Your girlfriend dragged you here too?" Stefan asked him casually. "What can I say... Elena has me wrapped around her little finger." Stefan said trying to break the ice that he could swear he felt coming from Angel. This was gonna be a long day indeed.

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -Buffy heard his muttering in the background about this not being a good idea but she ignored it. She knew he would lighten up eventually when he realized that the two weren’t going to either run around screaming that they were vampire and slayer (well, he doubted that Angel thought it possible of Stefan being that he was a vampire as well but Elena could easily do so) or that they weren’t going to attack…this was the one she assumed Angel was most worried about when it came to Stefan since he didn’t know them but with Angel, who really knew?
She could see the sidewise glance that he shot her when he stated that he had heard a lot about the two and also noticed the shot that Stefan shot at Elena. Ahh, it looked like she hadn’t given him the information…that probably wasn’t a wise idea but then again she wasn’t going to tell Elena how to handle her vampire…after all Buffy had a hard enough time handling her own. Well, as much as anyone could handle Angel for that matter but…she really needed to stop zoning out and stay at the topic at hand. She briefly wondered if slayers had ADD or if it was just all the excess energy.
Pulling back to the current conversation going on around her she laughed slightly at Elena’s almost pleading look for her to take over. She could have said screw it and let everyone just be awkward but she felt bad since she had been the one to instigate this so to speak so she figured she would take the lead. “Come on mr. brooding one, let’s go sit down. My feet still haven’t recovered from those heels of death the other day.” She told him in a mock whining voice before pulling on his leather jacket clad arm and dragging him back to the picnic table. She would have sat on his lap just to keep him there but she figured he wanted to stay focused and professional so probably wouldn’t have appreciated it too much. As such she simply sat down and waited for Elena and Stefan to sit across from them.
She found herself drawn to Stefan’s charm almost immediately and she could easily see the resemblance between him and his older brother. Not that they looked alike really but it was just in the way they carried themselves. Stefan was less cocky that was for sure but still, they both had senses of humor. “And you must be Stefan, I’ll admit you’ve got a better sense of humor than your brother tried to sell me on.” She told him with a laugh. “He told me you were a stick in the mud and then Elena told me you were pretty much Romeo so I had to see for myself who was right.”
She couldn’t help but shoot a smile at Elena when Stefan mentioned being wrapped around her finger. “Hey I like a man who admits that his girlfriend is the center of his universe…shows that he loves her.” She told him, but knew that Angel wouldn’t comment on it. She didn’t have Angel wrapped around her finger, hadn’t for a long time if ever. Sure he loved her but she seemed to think that Stefan was more open about it…which bothered her a little but she kept a bright smile on her face to hide it. Angel was Angel and she wouldn’t trade him for the world. She did have an issue with the term girlfriend though since she and Angel had never truly made things official. “Eh, he deals with me when he has to.” She told him, nudging him with her shoulder, trying to make a joke out of the suddenly awkward feeling of the table.
“Anyway, like I said, I’ve talked with both your brother though that was purely accidental and then Elena here. I figured you’d want to know a little about us and I could use a little information about you as well as what you know about the originals who apparently I’m going to have to deal with eventually.” She stated before continuing. “Like I said, my name is Buffy Summers and I’m the vampire slayer.” She told him, once again leaving out the fact that there were several. No one knew about it and as far as she was concerned no one needed to know. It would keep the other girls safe. The only one that really anyone else knew about was Faith and even Faith wasn’t nearly as well known because she had been in jail and evil at one point. “Before you freak out clearly I don’t kill all vampires…” She stated, pointing at the brooding vampire to her right hand side. “And this is Angel, formerly known as Angelus, Scourge of Europe, though that was before he was cursed with a soul.” She stated, feeling like she wanted to get everything out into the open.

Perhaps he was being unreasonable? Yet, how could he be when before him stood another vampire.. one that he had been told not to touch, along with his brother. It was only.. natural for Angel to want to do something, Angel was a vampire.. and vampires were monsters, and creatures.. with a urge to kill. Still.. he could see in the way Elena looked to the vampire.. what he had seen in Buffy.. many times. Admiration, love. He would never admit out loud, but he was certainly jealous of their relationship, how could they have such a seemingly open love for one another? Perhaps jealousy was the reason Angel didn't particularly like Stefan at this moment. After all, Stefan could walk in the sun, not worry about the consequences of his actions..he would wager that the shorter vampire was able to give Elena a lot more than what Angel could give Buffy.
As the majority of the group talked to one another, Angel as per usual observed and watched the interaction.. he had to admit too, that he did find people watching to be of interest to him, despite the fact that it probably didn't do him any justice.. after all what person would see a tall guy, watching them as perfectly acceptable? Not many he would wager. Yes, perhaps he was being rude but he had every reason to be, he didn't trust this vampire.. at least not yet. from experience he knew how quickly a vampire could change (unless cursed) they were all unpredictable. Still, despite his refusal to shake the vampires hand, Angel noted the attempt at lightning the situation.. he had heard, through the grape vine that apparently such talk was labelled 'Salvatore Charm' or something along those lines, at least now he could see where it came from.
Yet, he also noticed how it had captivated Buffy's attention. Still he knew better than to act jealous over such a petty thing. Come on mr. brooding one, let’s go sit down. My feet still haven’t recovered from those heels of death the other day Buffy stated, to which Angel knew just who she was referring too, brooding? he didn't brood did he? At least he didn't mean to brood.. with that said Buffy tugged lightly upon his arm, to which he dutifully followed. He didn't fell like sitting.. he'd much rather keep his guard up, but from the look he received from Buffy, he knew better than to argue at that moment. Reluctantly he sat down beside Buffy, but certainly showed no signs of relaxing any time soon. It was in that moment he heard Stefan talk, the question directed at him. Your girlfriend dragged you here too? The question sounded a lot more like a statement rather than a question, but he nodded curtly in reply. "You could say that.." He half muttered, only to cast his glance around a second time.. he didn't like being out in the open..he felt far to exposed.. whatever happened to the nice dark rooms?
When talked turned to being wrapped around a little finger, Angel arched his eyebrow.. that was knew. Often from his experience vampires tended to be their own person. Preferring to do things their way, he had never heard of a vampire essentially listening to another being. Of course he would listen to Buffy, and yes he would at times do things for her.. but he also put his foot down and enjoyed his independence. However, what caught him even more by surprise was Buffy's next comment, about what she liked. To which.. there really was nothing he could say on the matter.. things between them were, and probably would always be complicated. Moments later he felt a soft nudge against his shoulder.. "You often give me little choice." he commented.. which was about the first comment he made in attempt to 'lighten up'.
As soon as the term original's came up, Angel quirked his eyebrow. "The Originals? As in The Original vampire..?" He questioned, Darla had often spoken about them a great deal.. he had also heard them mentioned a lot during his time at Wolfram and Heart... from what he had gathered, they were the oldest, most powerful of all vampires.. and not something to be trifled with.. For a long moment Angel sat buried within his thought, why had Buffy not mentioned this before.. it changed a great many things. It was only when he heard his 'vampire' name did he return to ground. Glancing to Buffy he frowned, yes he didn't mind it being talked about.. after all from what he had gathered there were already a few publications about his activities. However at the same time.. did he honestly have to be present for such a talk..? one that made him most uncomfortable.

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She felt the cool breeze move her hair which caused it to tickle over her arms, goose bumps rising over her. She leaned into Stefan's side, not that he offered much warmth being that he was a vampire yet he wasn't as cold as some of the others she had met. She remembered him telling her that coffee was a vampire’s friend as it kept the body warm which she had known before hand as she had tried to do research after learning what Stefan was and had come up with very few things that actually seemed true. Though from what Buffy had told her it seemed as if the research she had done was just on a different type of vampire.
She winced at the shot that Stefan sent at her when he mentioned that he didn't know anything about them. Okay so that might not have been her brightest plan ever but really she hadn't wanted him to try and figure out a way out of it nor did she want him to freak out about the fact that she would be around another vampire and a vampire slayer. So she hid it...she was still wondering what was the better decision there.
Either way there wasn’t anything she could do about it now so instead she sent a pleading look at the older blonde girl and was more than a little relieved when she took charge. She sat down across from Buffy and waited for Stefan to sit next to her. She was surprised to see how different Buffy and Angel were from one another. She had envisioned someone similar to Stefan from what Buffy had said but she could find nothing similar in the two other than they were both fairly tall, though Angel was clearly taller than her own boyfriend.
She felt heat rise up to her cheeks though her olive complexion hid it for the most part when Stefan stated that he was wrapped around her finger. "Be glad I'm not selfish enough to use it then." She shot back at him jokingly, though saw a glimmer of sadness in Buffy's eyes before she hid it as quickly as possible, so quickly in fact that she wasn't even sure it had been there in the first place. She wondered what that was about and remembered that while the two had talked about some stuff the last time they were together they really hadn’t had girl talk like they had originally anticipated and she made a mental note to do that soon. It looked like she wasn’t the only one with some stuff on her chest.
"The original family technically." She stated, jumping back into the conversation with a small smile to the blonde girl when Angel stated that she often gave him little choice. "Unfortunately the originals aren't the worst problem...it's more one of them whose taken his craziness to a whole other level." She stated, shivering at the thought of how Klaus had done just that, feeling a pang in her heart for her aunt who had been an innocent sacrifice to the whole situation.

"Well that's Damon for you. He thinks everyone has a lack of personality compared to him." Stefan told Buffy when she said that she got two different stories from Elena and Damon on how Stefan's personality was. "I don't know about Romeo though either." Stefan said placing his arm around Elena. He was relaxing a little bit and a little bit of trust was forming with Buffy already, still with Angel on high alert, Stefan wouldn't let his guard down either. Not until Angel began to trust him. Looking at Buffy and Angel for a moment he wondered why such a bubbly person was with such a brooding one for.
"Well, you used it today." Stefan said, teasing Elena a bit when she said she didn't use her abilities to control him on him. She got him out here without telling him what was going on and he only stayed because of her. So she didn't use it often, only rarely. Still, Stefan wanted to point it out that she did use it from time to time, and at least right now, he forgave her for it, and as long as Buffy and Angel didn't try to kill him, Stefan would forgive her and make up with her later over this and that's all that matter in this moment when it came to them, forgiving for not informing eachother of the situation.
"Well no sense in hiding the truth." Stefan said when Buffy admitted to liking a man who admitted that he loved his girlfriend. He did love Elena and nothing could change that. She then went on to talk about how Angel puts up with her, and that made a lot of sense as they just didn't seem each others type. But love was blind. She then shifted gears to business and brought up that she was a vampire slayer and who Angelus was and wanted to know about the Original vampires. Well if this was a business meeting, maybe it wasn't to bad of an idea after all.
"The originals are 1000 year old vampires, the first of their kind." Stefan told her, but she probably knew all of that. "We know of no way to kill them." Stefan added sadly. He wished there was a way and Alaric, Damon, everyone was trying to find it but to no avail. Stefan then considered what she said about Angelus. Stefan could of sworn he read about a vampire called that once but wasn't sure. "Well, I am known as the Ripper of Monterey, so I guess we both did stuff we regret." He said to Angel, trying to form a common bond to get him to lighten up as it really was annoying him.
Stefan was unfamiliar with the term vampire slayer, but it made her sound like she killed vampires for a living, so he guessed that is what she did, killed vampires. Clearly she didn't want Stefan or Angel dead as she had the chance when they all arrived. "Well, I can tell you that I probably have a similar track record to Angel." Stefan said to her, He could tell she had no desire to kill him, not yet anyways. "Who is the original you are talking about Angel?" Stefan asked, curiosity getting the better of him in this instance.
Elena then said what the real problem was. "Klaus." Stefan said his name, a little bit of hate in his voice, but for some reason he couldn't bring himself to hate Klaus entirely. "I am sure you have heard of my recent exploits?" Stefan questioned Buffy and Angel. "Well you have Klaus to blame for that. He is a hybrid, half vampire half werewolf and all crazy." Stefan told them. "He is the one that needs to be stopped, Rebekah, Elijah, they are not the problem, if we can stop Klaus..." Stefan said, stopping as he really didn't feel like talking anymore on the subject.

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She could see the unease in the dark vampire’s shoulders and she didn’t have to ask him why. She knew that he hated being exposed like they were. If they had a conversation back in Sunnydale it was usually while they were patrolling or it was when they were at his apartment or the mansion or the library. They were never out in the open unless they were hunting and that was because they had all their senses on red alert and could easily break the conversation to kill something if necessary. She knew as well as he did that this was a different situation and it was making him nervous.
“Don’t let him fool you.” She told them with a laugh. “He had no idea he was coming either until about fifteen minutes ago so Stefan you’re not completely in the dark. I may have told him a little bit about the two of you but he had no more idea than you did that he was being dragged to meet you.” She told him, trying to settle the waters that she could see swimming around her. She didn’t want to step on any toes but she did want to let him know that it wasn’t only his girlfriend that had tricked him…Buffy had tricked Angel as well.
She could tell he was trying to lighten up though it was obvious he was making little success in the attempt. She smiled at the attempt and shrugged. “Yeah well, if it wouldn’t have been for me back when you and I lived in the same town you would have never pulled yourself away from your old musty books so I took it upon my live to shove a social life at ya.” She stated with a teasing grin, patting his leather clad arm in a reconciling way.
She too was interested in the originals and was known about them so she kept quiet, waiting for someone else to answer. Listening to Elena she nodded, remembering Damon telling her the same thing. Of course he hadn't given her all the details since he hadn't trusted her enough which she understood, but maybe she would get the details today. She was not someone who liked to be kept out of the loop and she had always had a general curiosity about her that she couldn’t seem to quell even as she got older. It drove her friends crazy as it was rare anyone could surprise her but eh, what could she do?
She nodded though she was aware Stefan wasn't addressing her but Angel. It didn't matter, she still was going to let him know that she too had heard of his exploits. "Elena and Bonnie spoke with us about it." She told him, not alerting him to the fact that she had taken Willow over to the Gilbert house and had all vampires de-invited from the house. She was sure he would figure that out soon enough if he hadn't already.
"Okay, my question is how exactly does one become a werewolf and a vampire? I've seen some weird ass things in my time as a slayer however I've never seen that one. Do we know how he did this?" She asked, having a feeling from the sad look on Elena's face that they knew exactly how it happened and that she was in the thick of it. For Klaus to have fixated on Stefan like it seemed he had from what she had heard it was clear something bonded them together…but what exactly was it? Ugh, another mystery, just what she needed.
