- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - - So he had done it surprisingly enough. He had gone and enrolled in school. No one knew about it and he really didn’t want anyone to know about it until he had started classes as he knew Dean would try to talk him out of it. Being back in school would be a large inconvenience on his older brother as there was no way he was going to drop everything and hit the road for at least the next five months as that was all he needed to have his degree. He didn’t know if he would still end up going into Law School but at least this way he would be able to say that he had his college degree.
He hadn’t let anyone else know that this was something he had been ashamed of for quite a long time now. He had worked so hard to get away from his family’s legacy and had come so close only to be pulled away at last minute and then he had never finished. Luckily for him (this had to be a miracle of some higher order in Sam’s mind), all of his credits from Stanford transferred to the University of Richmond which meant he had twelve credits left before he graduated with his Bachelor’s Degree in Pre-Law.
He felt like the typical college student walking out of the school. Gone was his jacket and boots and in their place was a pair of jeans, a pair of Puma tennis shoes, an Amity Island t-shirt that he had found for about $2 at some vintage store since it was based off of the movie Jaws, a movie he secretly loved as a kid, and his watch that he tended to change quite often. He usually carried a backpack with him but today had opted for just his wallet in his pocket, not needing anything other than his ID.
Upon leaving he shot a text message to Sarah letting her know that he was heading back to the hotel and to come by when she had the time as he knew that if he waited any longer to tell Dean and his girlfriend what was going on that both Sarah and Dean would go postal. It didn’t take him long before he walked into the hotel room and waved at his older brother. “Hey, Sarah hopefully will be by soon.” He stated before making his way towards the kitchen to grab a beer.
He knew he’d probably need more than one to get through this particular conversation.

- - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - Walking into the motel he threw his bag down on the bed, he had just got done working a case again solo as always. Dean had been doing a lot of that these days it seemed, because Sam was always busy doing god knows what. He knew after everything he needed to give his baby brother a break, but now it was starting to get ridiculous it seemed like Sam was always to busy to be hunting with Dean. Plus it also seemed like he was hiding something, like there was something wrong. It had been that way since they had dinner with Lisa and found out about Ben, He wondered why Sam was so upset about it all. Was he mad that Dean was a Father? He didn't know what it was but he planned on talking about it with Sam when he has the chance, if he gets the chance.
Dean walked into the bathroom getting cleaned up a bit, killing a nest of vampire wasn't exactly a clean job. He stripped down getting into the shower; letting the warm water run down his head. He really did need this shower after the day he had, taking on vampires by himself. Hell all he needed now was three Advil and a beer to be a great end to this day. Well it could get better with some pie but he didn't feel like going out again, and he knew Sam wasn't going to want to bring any home. No he would just settle by ordering a large cheese pizza when he got out, plus he knew that Sam would like that too. He wasn't much of a pie or burger guy seeing that he liked to stay in shape, but when it came to a cheese pizza he could never say no. He has been that way since they were kids.
Finally he got out putting on more comfortable clothes and heading to the bedroom slash kitchen of the motel, going to the fridge to get out a beer. He made his way over to the bed talking a set tuning on some Tv, when not long after Sam had shown up. "Hey man what's up?" Dean said to his brother. Sam said that Sarah would be there soon, which was great. Not really he wondered what it was and why Sarah had needed to be there so badly. But Dean knew he would just have to wait and see. But he feared that for some reason he could be loosing his brother, he didn't know why but he had that sacred though going through his mind.

------------------ ------------------ Sarah wasn't really doing anything today. It was basically the regular kind of thing, she would go for her morning job then take a shower and do whatever it was needed to be done. She was hoping she would be hanging out with people today, she was considering on calling Lisa if she wanted to go out or stay in and just talk about whatever, mostly on their new friend Becky. Now that girl was a piece of work literally. She could talk for hours and what she was saying...that was something Sarah would have to bring up to Sam if she got the chance to see him soon. She didn't know if he was out on a case at the moment or just relaxing at the hotel at the moment.
Sarah had gotten a text from Sam and she instantly smiled then she texted him back telling him that she'd be there in a short few. She was glad she'd be seeing him although it'd be a lot better if he wasn't staying at that motel. She went to brush her hair and then put on some decent clothes. And with that she was off to going to the motel. She was pretty sure the reason why she was going to the motel was because Sam probably wanted to talk to Dean about the whole Ben situation, they never really had the chance to talk about it. Sarah was actually curious to know why he wanted her there for it though, maybe she was the mediator or something, the one that wouldn't pick sides. She didn't know but she was hoping that the brothers wouldn't have a big fight or anything like that, or she would seriously kick their asses.
She walked to the motel, it was a good think she decided to wear sneakers today. It was a comfortable walk. She walked to their motel room and knocked on the door and opened it. She saw both boys and she walked up to her boyfriend and said, "Hi, handsome," giving him a quick kiss on the lips with a small smile. She then looked over to Dean, "Hey, Dean," she said with a smile and a wave. She wondered what they Were going to talk about though, Sarah walked to a chair and sat down not sure what she should do. She could kind of feel the tension between both brothers. "So, any new cases you guys have taken?" She asked. It kind of felt weird saying cases since that was what someone would say to a lawyer but that was the supernatural life for you.
She sat there waiting for one of the brothers to say something. She had hoped that everything would go smoothly tonight and if it did then neither of them would be mad. She knew that Sam was upset about the Ben situation and hopefully everything would get figured out quickly. Sarah had heard Lisa's side of the story and she understood it completely but she understood why Sam would be angry as well as Sam was protective over his brother. ------------------ Credit: Graphics by Britt! - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - - He pulled out a beer and then closed the refrigerator door behind him. Once he had cracked open his beer he pulled his wallet out of his pocket and set it on the nightstand between his and Dean's beds. Kicking off his shoes he sat on the bottom of his own bed and looked over to what his older brother had been working on. “Caught a case?” He asked curiously. Lately they had only been doing local cases, leaving the out of state ones to the other hunters as clearly the small town that he had been staying in plus the next one over were more than mystical enough to catch their attention for quite a while.
He chuckled at the clear sign of Dean having just been in the shower which meant he had gone off somewhere on his own, which made him frown. He and his brother hadn’t been as close lately, only because they had both been doing their own thing. Dean had been busy with Lisa and Ben, and he had been busy with enrolling in school behind everyone’s back and with Sarah. He made a mental note to make sure that he and his brother did something just the two of them soon but before he could voice it there was a knock on the door.
He stood up as Sarah walked in and he grinned a large grin. “Hey beautiful.” He told her, standing up and leaning down to receive the kiss that she had bestowed upon his lips. He chuckled when Sarah waved at Dean before asking about a case. “Straight to business huh?” He asked before motioning to his brother. “I did the same thing when I walked in, hence me laughing.” He whispered before taking her hand and pulling her to his bed, sitting down and pulling her playfully down next to him.
“No, actually I wanted to talk to both of you. I know you got pissed at me when I bailed on dinner the other night.” He told them, though this part was aimed at Sarah. “And I know that you got annoyed that I barely spoke the entire night we were working.” He stated, this time aiming his comment at Dean. “However I couldn’t stay there any longer and Bobby calling just gave me an excuse to bail. I’m happy for you Dean but at the same time I’m pissed as hell. How could she not tell you that you had a kid all those years?” He asked, his anger showing on his face, anger for his brother’s sake.

- - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - Dean noticed Sam getting a beer making himself comfortable, it made him realize that Sarah and him must be staying there that night to hang. Which did make Dean happy he was tired of spending nights with out his brother around, plus he did like Sarah a lot so he was happy to be getting to hang out with them more. Good thing for them he just bought some more beer, which they all might need seeing that Sam needed to talk to him about something. Dean wondered what this was about, Sam had been meaning to talk to him about something. But they had a visit with Lenore so they never were able to. Dean was worried to what it was about seeing that he wanted to tell him with Sarah there. All though the other night she seemed kind of clueless about it to.
Sam wanted to know if Dean was working a case, which as always he was. On his own without Sam which had been happing a lot recently. But Dean couldn’t blame him, he would rather be out with a knock out girl then work a case with his brother too. “Yeah just another vamp job, there are so many of them in this town I swear. But you know a job is a job, I’m going to be looking into another job tomorrow if you want to check it out with me.” he told him. “I could really use your help man, plus we all know how much better you are on research them I am. I need to find out something on a Demon, maybe Sarah could help to.” He figured maybe if Sarah was in this with him he want to do this case a bit more, he also did like to have her help on it. Slayer or not to this day Dean still thinks she is a kick ass hunter.
Not long after that Sarah was there joining them. “Hey Sarah what is up? What took you so long we have been wanting to start this party, I got us some beer and Sam is going to dance for us.” Dean said with sarcasm in his voice. “Isn’t that right Sammy.” He smiled at his brother playing around as always, trying to get a smile out of him. Sarah was all ready to go and talk about a case at hand, which was just what Dean was doing five minutes ago. But it sounded like Sam had other plains needing to talk to them about something.
The worried that he had started to come back again, when he was trying so hard just to forget about it. He needed to speak to them both about something and Dean had been dying to hear what it was. It seemed he was pissed at Lisa for keeping it from him for all these years, which Dean knew it had to be something from the other night, he just knew it. “I knew you made up a reason to leave, and you know man I don’t blame her for keeping it from me. I mean look at the life we have Sammy, and you know how I act I’m not exactly dad material.” He told him trying not to get upset. “I mean come on man I’m the worst person to be a father, I can even keep track of how many girls I have been with from all the towns we have come and gone in. I cant even remember the longest relationship I have had but when I was staying with Lisa.” Sam had hit a hard place in Dean, he was trying so hard not to get upset for all the wrong he had done. But at the same time his brother did have a point and he knew that.

------------------ ------------------ "Nothing much. And hey, I don't exactly have a car so I had to walk here," she told Dean. She should really invest in a car but she felt like there was no need to at the moment considering she could just walk to places or run if she had to. "But I'd love to see Sam dance," she said with a grin. She looked at her boyfriend wondering if he was one of those awkward dancers or just a really bad dancer. She assumed that he was one of those guys where they just didn't dance at all, maybe she could convince him to dance one day...it'd be worth the risk at least. She could only see him slow dancing but only on rare occasions.
"I'm just a business kind of girl," she told him. "Is it bad that we're the kind of couple that think alike?" She said with a little laugh. It wasn't like they thought exactly alike but there were a few instances were they were thinking the same thing or said the same thing like this instance when he had told her that he asked his brother if there was a case. Sam had pulled her down besides the bed and she laid her head on his shoulder getting a little comfortable but when he spoke she pulled her head away from his shoulder wondering what exactly he wanted to talk about, she figured it would be the Ben situation. She listened to both brothers talk and she stayed quiet, at least for now.
Sarah didn't see Dean as a bad father, it seemed like he was taking it a little bit hard on himself. "I'm not taking any sides or anything but I was out to lunch with Lisa a few days ago and she told me her side," she said not wanting to get in the middle of it. She wanted to be able to resolve the brothers' situation as easily as possible. "She trusted you Dean but you hadn't really been around and then she found out more about the supernatural which made her more hesitant to tell you," she knew Dean wasn't upset but it seemed like he was beating himself up over it, she was also talking to Sam as she knew he was upset over the whole thing. "If you think about it, she was just protecting her son," it sounded like she was siding with Lisa but she truly wasn't. "But, it still doesn't make it right that she kept it from you because you did deserve to know the truth," she told him.
She was trying to be fair, she understood both sides. "And yeah Sam, I was pissed off that you kind of just left the restaurant...and basically threw the keys at me," she told him finally admitting to how she felt about that night. "But it's all over and done with," she knew he was mad that Lisa lied but he had to understand her side as well. "I know you're mad that Lisa kept that secret from your brother and you do have the right to be mad but think about it, you wanted to protect Jessica just like Lisa was doing with her son, she didn't know who Dean was anymore and once she did she was afraid of his world," maybe she was making assumptions but she felt like this was the truth. "The only thing is you're just protecting Dean aren't you?" She asked the taller man. "And you know you'll probably have to clear the air with Lisa if you really want answers," she told Sam. He'd probably get better answers if he went to her. ------------------ Credit: Graphics by Britt! Words?: 616 To Who?: Sam, Dean Clothing?: Here!Music?: Nothing FYI: None

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - - He rolled his eyes at the comment about him dancing. That was sure as hell never going to happen. Sam was many things but him dancing? Yeah that wasn’t going to happen. Sam used to be able to dance until he hit his growth spurt and ever since then he was just too big and too tall to even attempt to have any semblance of rhythm. He remembered going to a frat party one time at Jess’ begging and getting drunk (how he got this drunk he still wasn’t quite sure) but he remembered trying to dance and Jess begging him not too. Ever since then (since someone had it on YouTube the next day) he stuck to slow dancing and only if he had absolutely no choice in the matter.
“Yeah, that’s not going to happen…unless you want to get arrested as that’s definitely a YouTube video in the making and Bobby might kill us if we end up there again.” He stated with a roll of his eyes. It was true though, Bobby was all about keeping a low profile (not that sometimes it wasn’t unavoidable because it was) but there was one thing that their father figure wouldn’t tolerate and that was making asses out of themselves…at least on camera.
"I didn't make up a reason to leave. Bobby really did call me with a case and while I probably would have made up a reason to leave that was actually a legitimate reason. However you may not blame her but I do." He stated before standing up and walking the two steps over to Dean's bed before sitting down next to him and placing a hand on his shoulder. "You're not the worst person to be a dad Dean." He told him quietly. “You were pretty much already a father even at eleven years old.” He continued. “Not many older brothers would make sure their younger one had food on the table, or make sure that he had Christmas presents, or look out for them the way that you did.”
“Dean, dad didn’t raise me…you did. You were the one who carried me out of the house when mom died, you were the one who would get up in the middle of the night to make sure that I wasn’t scared. You protected me, you taught how to be me. And when I left for school, it wasn’t dad who I wanted to make proud, it was you.” He stated, getting things off of his chest that he should have said a long time ago and yet for some reason he had held it all in, not wanting to make an ass out of himself so he had just kept quiet. Well clearly that went out the window.
“So don’t sit there and tell me that you’re the worst person to be a dad, because you already were. Ben is lucky to have a dad like you and I’m just a little peeved at the fact that she didn’t tell you. Not telling you when he was born, that was one thing as realistically how would she get in touch with you? But what about when we were there, you asked her straight up if Ben was yours and she lied to you and told you no.” He continued on. “That’s what makes me mad…because while someone could lie to me…that’s one thing…but not to my big brother. Just because you were a womanizer or a manwhore or whatever you want to call it, doesn’t mean that you wouldn’t be a good father…because you already were.”
He listened to Sarah pretty much look at each side and he nodded. “That’s why I didn’t say anything or do anything about it because I can see both sides. I know that Lisa was trying to protect Ben and I get that, like I said, I understand that she kept it from him at first because it’s reasonable…but what about when we went and helped her out…Dean asked her twice…and she laughed about it and then made up some biker in a bar…she should have told him then…so yeah…I am just protecting my big brother.”

- - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - -Dean felt bad hearing that Sarah had to walk there, he wasn't going to have a girl as sweet as her walking. "You shouldn't have done that next time call us, Sam can take the Impala and pick you up." He told her. "Just don't have freaky fun in it OK, that's my place to do it. Why else do you think Sam hates the back seat." It was true Dean did have a bit of fun with girls in the back seat, but all that has changed now that he is with Lisa. She is the only girl he cares for all those days with all those girls are over. Lisa is the only one for Dean now and he is fine with that forever and always.
Dean would pay money to see Sam dance it would be down right amusing, but he was just paying around he would never do anything to embarrassed Sam with Sarah. After all this was a love that Dean was parrying and hoping for, he knew there were high hopes for these two. One thing that he loved so much was how Sarah was all ready to work on any case that was at hand. The ideal perfect girl for Sam, she was so much like him it was scary. She was spoken like a true to be Winchester ready to work. "No its not bad that you guys think that way, I think that its great. You are just the girl that my brother needs, I have not seen Sam smile the way he has lately like he does when he is with you." He told Sarah. "You really are the best thing that has ever happen to him, I hope you know that."
This all wasn't easy to hear for Dean but maybe that because deep down he knew his brother had a point. Lisa maybe should have said something, but then again Dean still stood by what he said he wouldn't be a very good father with the life he had led. He has done a lot of wrong, made a lot of mistakes, and choices that he wasn't proud of. He even went to hell, so it really was hard to hate the choice that Lisa made. He could tell that even though Sarah wasn't happy about what happened she still understood the reasons that Lisa had, he only wished that Sam understood that. Dean didn't get why he didn't.
But the next words that Sam would tell Dean showed the reasons to why he felt this way, made him realize how he really felt. Sam began to tell Dean how he would make a great dad with how he raised him, Dean raised an eye brow for a moment trying to realize to what Sam might be getting at.Sam went on telling him how Dean had been a dad to him when John wasn't around. He was right he pretty much did raise Sammy, he has always felt very protective of him sometimes more then there dad it seemed. Dean still recalls the very first moment he started looking out for Sam, he was right it began that moment his dad handed him to Dean. His dad telling him to take his brother outside as fast as he could, which he did and he has not stopped looking out for him since. After what his brother told him there were no words at first that could show how he felt. He grabbed his brother holding him tightly trying not to get all treated up, he wasn't one who liked to show his tears. But with how he felt right now for his brother he really didn't care.
He let up from the hug after everything that Sam told him, taking in everything he said knowing he was right. "Thanks man it really means a lot knowing that you feel that way, It makes me so happy knowing after all these years you feel that way . I really have tired to look out for you. I mean you are my brother man and I love you. I mean come on I gave my soul for you once, and I'm sorry but I would do it again in a heart beat." He told his brother "You are my baby Brother Sammy, the only one that I have got."
He realized that maybe he needed to have another talk with Lisa, because he did care for her but what Sam said really matter to him, opened his eyes a bit more. After all he was his brother and best friend whose opinion matter to Dean more then anyone.

------------------ ------------------ Sarah smiled at Dean's kind words but she wasn't going to force Sam to pick her up, he didn't have to, the girl had two legs, she was capable. "Thanks, but I'm fine with walking, seriously," she said. She knew that the two wouldn't let it go but really, it wasn't bad walking and it wasn't like she was going to die from it or anything. Sarah laughed at what Dean said, "Dean I think this is one of those times where it's too much information," she said with a shake of her head. She did not want to be imagining Lisa and Dean going at it. "And I think I'll avoid the backseat," it was probably inevitable of her to sit in the seat but she was making her fuss now, and when the time came she'd just shut up and sit in the back. She wondered if Sam had ever done it in the car but she didn't let her mind wander off too far as she didn't want to think what girls he had slept with, she had only known Ruby and that was plenty enough. Great, now she was getting a little jealous but she made sure to stop thinking about it quickly.
"Awe, come on Sam, for me at least?" She said with giving puppy dog eyes. She wanted to see him dance, she thought it would be hilarious just to see. She assumed he had slow dancing down unless he was the kind of guy to step on people's toes. The toe haven't really done anything that required dancing so she wouldn't really know. Sarah wasn't much of a dancer herself, well she knew how to have fun and if she went clubbing with friends then she would but still she wasn't the best dancer, maybe decent or so she thought. She wondered if Sam had ever went to the clubs, he was a serious guy who seemed to stay out of stuff like that so most likely not, she could be wrong so she would have to ask him one day. She looked at Sam with a smile on her face when Dean said she was the best thing that had ever happened to Sam. She then looked back at Dean and said, "Thank you Dean, he makes me really happy," she said blushing a little as Sam was obviously listening, she felt like an open book right now which she sort of liked actually maybe it was because she felt safe to be open as she felt like she wouldn't get hurt.
Sarah listened to what Sam to Dean and the girl didn't even know how she was holding in her tears but she was, the way Sam felt about Dean, that was an amazing brother bond they had. And when they hugged Sarah almost balled, she couldn't help but smile. The two were making up finally and she was glad to see that. She probably wasn't much help but at least Sam got to get things off his chest. So, Dean didn't have to worry at all he would be a good dad considering he had raised Sam on his own, to hear that though the two must have felt abandoned by their father since he was out hunting all the time. But they had each other and because of that they were able to grow even closer than some other siblings out in the world. This was Sarah's first time seeing both brothers get sentimental with each other which was probably once in a blue moon and she was happy to see it and was happy she was invited to listen in on the conversation.
Sarah was actually shocked to hear that Dean asked Lisa again, she didn't know that part. "I didn't know that, at least she told him now but that still doesn't make it right," she said with a slight frown. She knew Lisa had her reasoning but waiting that long especially since Dean asked more than once. Hopefully everything would be fixed with Lisa soon as well. "I'm just glad everything was settled so quickly," she said with a sigh of relief. She was glad that there was no yelling or shouting and especially no violence if it resulted to that. The brothers actually resolved their conflict pretty quickly and now everything was fine. They could all just sit and relax unless Sam and Dean wanted some brother time which she would understand it was there choice if they wanted her to stay or not. ------------------ Credit: Graphics by Britt! - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - - He grinned when Dean made the comment about not getting freaky in the Impala. “Like I’d do that anyway. God knows how many girls you’ve had in there Dean.” He stated with a chuckle before shooting a wink at Sarah, clearly messing with his older brother. “Besides, I do plan on getting a new car here shortly, just haven’t had the opportunity. You know, for when you’re with Lisa that way Sarah and I both don’t have to walk.” He stated, leaning over to kiss the brunette on the crown of her head before sliding an arm around her, loving the way she felt in his arms.
Snickering at Sarah and Dean’s banter he really enjoyed listening to those two. He could easily see Sarah and Dean’s friendship becoming more of a brother sister relationship rather than just a friendship. He preferred this actually as it made things a lot smoother. He didn’t know why but he and Lisa had never been close and he doubted they ever would. Not that he wouldn’t do everything in his power to protect her because he would, but they had never done the whole ‘hang out and chill’ thing like he could easily see Dean and Sarah doing.
Wait, that sort of worried him. God knows what Dean would talk Sarah into doing. He would definitely need to keep an eye on that. Not that he was afraid that his brother would horn in on Sarah because he knew that would never happen, but he could easily see them ending up in Indiana or something at a tattoo parlor drunk.
He tried as hard as he could to not blush but he knew that a soft red had stained his cheeks when Dean and Sarah spoke about him as if he wasn’t in the room. He knew damn well that both of them liked to see him squirm which was fine since he liked to see both of them squirm as well. That was just the way all three of them were. Maybe that was why he and Lisa weren’t all that close. Lisa had a lot more of a stiff personality, not that it was bad but she wasn’t as playful as Sarah or Dean were, though he would never say that to his brother due to the fact that his brother was in love with her and he knew how it was when those you loved made comments about others that you loved.
He chuckled at his brother’s words though it was clear with the few tears in his eyes that it was only in order to keep himself from crying in front of Sarah. Had it just been the two of them he would be more than happy to break down since it wouldn’t be the first nor the last time that the two Winchester brothers had seen the other cry but in front of Sarah? Yeah that was not going to happen. Not that he thought that Sarah would say anything about it since she wasn’t that type, but no man wanted to burst into tears in front of their girlfriend, especially one that he’d only been dating for a few weeks. He had only ever cried in front of Jess once and that was when one of their friends had died and she cried which in turn made him cry. And they had been together for a year or two.
Leaning in he squeezed his brother’s shoulder in a form of a hug that most men tended to exchange before chuckling again. “Love you too big brother.” He then pulled away from his older brother and made his way back to Sarah before laughing. “You just don’t know what to say when two men start talking about their feelings. Then again if you start talking to another woman about your feelings then I probably wouldn’t know what to say either.”

Perhaps Dean had given a bit of TMI about the back seat, but he was just telling the truth after all. He couldn't help it if he was a PIMP in the past, but again that was the old Dean that wasn't who he was now. That was the Dean from back in the day crying out not wanting to be alone, being with girl night after night, hoping it would kill the loneness. But really it didn't it just helped with the pain for awhile. "Yeah I guess it was sorry Sarah, but yeah Sam I would be more then happy to help you find a car if you let me." He told his brother. I mean come on I just want to make sure you get the right car, I can't have my brother getting the wrong car and all." Dean was just trying to be there for his brother and showed that he cared, even though he knew Sam didn't need his help. He wasn't little Sammy any more, he was old enough to make the choices that he wanted to. But Dean was still always going to be there for him backing him up all the way
He could tell that Sarah was happy to hear how Dean felt about them, he really was happy that she was with Sam. There was just something about her, Dean could see himself becoming close with her, she was like the sister that he never had. Which a lot of people don't know this but Dean did always wanted a sister, its just not something guys make a deal about. So he really was happy that she was going to be a part of the Winchester family. Now all they needed to do was tie the knot all ready.
It wasn't easy for Dean to talk about all this, having to deal with how he was feeling. He didn't want to cry in front of Sarah, and he could tell Sam didn't ether. He knew his brother and he could tell he was holding back something. Sam and Dean were so much alike and very much cared for one another and always will. He needed to talk to Lisa again about all this because now that he thinks about it he is kind of upset she kept this from him. He didn't realize he wasn't going to be the only one upset about this. But again that was Dean always thinking about himself before others. One of the things about himself that he hates and needs to change. Sam was upset that all this time he didn't know that he was an uncle or that Sam was a dad, it really was sweet that he cared that much.
It meant a lot hearing Sam say he loved him to, he cared so much for his brother and it was great to hear he felt the same. Shortly after Sam had gotten up going over to Sarah, Dean knew he needed to try and lighten up this conversation. He wasn't one that liked to cry and show his feels and Sam knew that, plus again they really didn't want to do in front of a chick. Dean just was just happy that they had talked and Sam got what he needed to off his chest. "Well not to still pry on this but now I need to have another conversation on how I feel with Lisa on how I feel, got any advice Sarah?" He asked her.
Dean walked over to the kitchen grabbing another beer after all that lord knows he needs one, getting a beer he made his way back over the bed taking a seat. "What you guys say we watch some T.V. Dr. Sexy MD is on." Grabbing the remote he noticed Sam's wallet had falling to the floor. When going to pick it up he noticed that Sam had what looked like a school ID. Dean was clueless and confused to what this was and what it was for. It couldn't have been a fake one seeing that it read Sam Winchester and his legit info. "Sam what is this!" He asked in a loud like tone of voice. "Is there something that you need to tell me! If so do it now what the hell is this man!"

------------------ ------------------ Sarah laughed, "It's fine Dean, I wouldn't expect anything less of you," she knew Dean was the player type back then and that didn't matter since he was now with Lisa and he wasn't the same Dean as he was before. And she knew the man liked to give details so if he wanted to share so be it, she wasn't going to scold him, it wasn't like Sarah was his mother but still she wouldn't want to hear every detail. She was glad that Sam had never done anything in the back of that car...unless he did, she wasn't going to ask him since it wasn't her place to even though she was his girlfriend, but she didn't want to know either.
Just to be apart of the Winchesters' lives made Sarah extremely happy. She was happy to be Sam's girlfriend and to love him, she was hoping he loved her. She looked at him in a way where she knew that she would spend the rest of her life with him and maybe that seemed a little bit crazy or a little psycho but her feelings for him grew stronger each day, she thought there would be a day where her feelings would hit a point but it was impossible. Each day her feelings would grow and each day she would love Sam even more. She was also happy to be Dean's friend because well she knew he'd be a good friend and if anything Sarah would probably look up to him as Dean could be the older brother she never had. The girl would actually hangout with him if Sam wasn't home, it wasn't awkward or anything so if the opportunity presented itself she would most likely.
Sarah watched the two brothers hug and smiled at how sentimental the two were being. This would be a perfect brother picture moment. It seemed like the brothers could get through anything, she was just glad there wouldn't be anymore fights for at least a while. Sarah wasn't really in the middle of this one but she was in the crossfire a bit which she didn't like too much. She wondered how Lisa was doing, maybe her and Sam would talk it out? Sarah didn't think the two would unless it came up in a conversation or with Dean perhaps. Dean was already going to talk to her so maybe Sam felt like he didn't have a need to. Hopefully Dean and Lisa wouldn't end up fighting though, the two deserved to be happy just like Sarah and Sam were.
Sarah was a bit surprised when Dean asked her for some advice. "You're not prying at all but just tell her what you told Sam I mean it's what's in your heart right?" She said hoping she helped a little. "You should definitely bring up how it wasn't right of her to keep the secret for this long when she had plenty of chances to tell you," she told the man. She wasn't sure if she helped out but if he wanted more advice she'd give him more. Only Dean knew what he felt and what he would say to her about the situation, so really he didn't need the advice.
Sarah laughed at what Sam said, "Yeah, I mean it was a cute moment but...at least you understand," she said with another little laugh. "I saw a side to both of you I've never seen, well with you I have but the point is I'm never letting it go," she said playfully. "You two being all sentimental together a moment I'll never forget," she said jokingly. She was really enjoying herself, taking some jabs at Sam and Dean, she liked the way they all talked with each other. "Oh god Dean," she said with a shake of her head. "I still don't understand the show," she said actually curious enough to watch it. It seemed like what seemed to be heading to a good night started to go bad really quickly.
Sarah got up from her bed passing Sam and going to Dean to look at the card that Dean had in his hand. She looked at it and it looked like a school I.D. which meant Sam enrolled in school but never told anybody...not even her. "Sam...," she said a bit confused. "Why didn't you tell me?" She said a little bit hurt that he had kept it from her. He had told her about his life and he was honest about everything so why not be honest about this? ------------------ Credit: Graphics by Britt! - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - - He chuckled at Dean's apology to Sarah and nodded when he offered to help him find a car. "That's fine with me Dean, we can go look in a couple days once I get some other stuff straightened out. However I'm telling you now that I'm getting a new car, not an old one like the Impala. I like the Impala, don't get me wrong, but I'm not a mechanic like some other people. Anything that goes wrong I'm going to have to pay to get fixed or ask you, so I'm getting something new with a warrantee. I’m just saying." He stated with another chuckle, knowing this would most likely prompt a debate from his older brother as Dean hated most of the newer cars while Sam was not a huge fan of the older ones.
He chuckled at Sarah commenting on never letting either of them forget their ‘eat, love and pray moment’ between the two of them and he rolled his eyes, moving his hands to her hip and digging them in, tickling her for a brief moment before letting up. “Yeah, yeah, just remember, I may have a soft side to me but that doesn’t mean that I can’t be a jackass as well. Just ask Dean.” He stated with a laugh. “Don’t let the face fool ya.” He told her with a wink and a boyish grin.
He wasn't surprised to hear Dean ask for Sarah's advice in relationships though he did bite back a sarcastic comment about neither him nor Sarah having that much experience. He remembered on their first date talking about past relationships and it was clear that while neither of them were completely innocent in love, they also didn't have as much experience as say Dean did. However then again Sarah was a girl and would definitely be able to help him with the way that girls thought.
He briefly wondered while Dean and Sarah talked if women who dated other women even really knew how their significant others thought. He knew that the reason that men didn't understand women's thought processes were because they second guessed themselves. With men, what they said for the most part was what they meant. With women it was completely different. Women said they were 'fine' when in reality they were pissed as hell about something and it could easily be something that was done a month ago. They held grudges. Sam would admit that he was holding a grudge against Lisa not telling his brother about having a kid (no wonder Dean always mocked him calling him a woman) but that was because if his brother wasn’t going to stand up for himself, then Sam would. Dean had always been there to be his protector, even now that he was an adult and could clearly protect himself. So the same could be said about Dean.
He remembered a similar conversation that they had had after Dean had made the deal to bring him back. You saved my life over and over. Man you sacrifice everything for me, don't you think I'd do the same for you? You're my big brother, there's nothing I wouldn't do for you. And I don't care, I'm going to get you out of this. I'm going to save your ass for a change.
He had been so deep in his thoughts that Dean's bark of 'What is this?' made him jump, something I'm sure both his loving girlfriend and big brother would mock him for later. He turned his eyes on what Dean was holding and he groaned, realizing that while he had originally wanted to keep this to himself for a few more weeks, clearly that wasn't going to happen. "Well Dean, that is a school I.D. from the looks of it." He stated sarcastically, sounding more like the petulant little brother than the adult that he usually did. However that tone quickly stopped when Sarah looked at him, hurt, and asked why he hadn’t told her.
He stood up and pulled the beautiful woman into his arms, cradling her against his chest as if she was the most precious thing in the world, which to him she was. “I didn’t tell either one of you because I wanted to keep it to myself for a few days. This is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time and it’s taken me settling down here for the last couple of months to realize that it was a priority for me. Sarah I want to be able to make a life for us eventually, and I can’t do that until I get my act together.” He stated before turning his attention back to his older brother.
“The reason I didn’t tell you was because I knew you’d be pissed. I know how you feel about us staying in a town for more than a couple days usually, however with Lisa and Ben here, and now me being enrolled in school, we’ve got ties man…and we need to accept that. If it makes you feel any better at least I only have one semester to go before I graduate. All my credits transferred. Which means starting in August and ending in December.” He stated, hoping they would both understand where he was coming from. He knew that Sarah would be okay with it eventually, but he wasn’t quite sure about Dean.

"Sound good to me man we can go out and find you a car that screams you." Dean understood that Sam wasn't much for old cars, he just wasn't much for working on them. But don't get Sam wrong he was a lot better with Cars then he gave himself credit for. He works on them a lot better then he thinks he does, Dean knows that from all the time they worked on it with each other. "Well just so you know man you not bad at working on cars at all, I mean when I was dead and in hell you did a great job taking care of my baby. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my car but you." He said to his brother with a smile. "So just know if you ever need the Impala its OK with me. You don't even need to ask."
Sarah was so right about Lisa she shouldnt have kept this as long as she did, it wasn't fair to not just Dean but Ben and Sam they had a right to know as well. After all they were all family now and when it comes to family the Winchester take it seriously. He smiled at Sarah for her advice he knew that she would have the answers for what he sould say, Lisa and her had become really good friends. So she would know what would be the best way for him to approach her. "Thanks Sarah you are right, I just hope me talking to her doesn't turn into a bad fight. That's the last thing I want to do, but yeah we need to have a talk about everything." Said Dean
Maybe Dean and Sam having there moment here with Sarah was good, it showed how much they truly love each other and how they will always have each others backs no matter what. Dean was happy that Sam and Sarah were becoming close, he knew how much Sam cared for her. She was the best girl for him after all, Dean has known that from the first moment they met her. Working the case with that creepy portrait, just thinking about it still gives Dean chills. Dean just wanted to kick back now and enjoy some good old T.V. along with a beer. It was a good way to end that the night. "What don't you get Sarah, he is a hot Doctor that everyone wants to be with and be like. I would kill to be like Dr. Sexy. He wears pretty sweet cowboy boots after all." Dean knew he had to sound like an Idiot to them, but he didn't care right now he was having the time of his life spending time with his Brother and future sister in law.
When he found the I.D. He didn't know what to say Dean still was a bit shocked to what he found, he couldn't understand why Sam would have this in less it was for a job. That had to be what it was a from a case that Dean didn't know about. He waited for Sam to answer to explain what this whole thing was about. "I know that its a school I.D. Sammy why do you have it?" He said to him in a pissed off like tone to his voice.
Dean could understand why Sam would want to go to school, he agreed with everything that he was telling Sarah It was something he needed for himself. Plus on top of that Dean was the reason he had to quit in the first place seeing that they had to find his dad. "Look Sam I understand why you would feel that you want to go back I get that. What I don't get it why you though i would be pissed! I'm more pissed off that you lied to me man, I mean come on you be mad if I kept something like this from you." Dean then got worried wondering if he was going to stop being a hunter, he knew that one day they would be done he gets that. But for now they had a job that they had to do to keep there families safe and Dean couldn't do it alone. Plus Sarah was a Slayer so why would be need to stop, she has to fight to as is. "So what are you saying you going to stop hunting then? Man I can't do this with out you Sam, I need you man." He said to his Brother with puppy dog like eyes.

------------------ ------------------ Sarah was enjoying herself right now, the two brothers were talking about cars and she didn't know much about them but it didn't matter to her. They were all having a normal conversation and that honestly felt good, there was no talk of demons or cases, she didn't mind talking about that stuff of course but she liked having conversations that didn't deal with it from time to time. She listened to the brothers talk about how Sam was going to get a car and how Sam preferred newer cars rather than the old ones like Dean, it made sense considering old cars seemed hard to handle and most likely broke a lot and they weren't the prettiest either. Sarah wasn't sure what cars she liked, she didn't really drive even though she had her license but ever since she became a slayer she would walk more rather than drive.
Sarah couldn't help but giggle a little as he tickled her hips, she pushed forward when he did so. The girl cuddled against the boy. "It's not fooling anyone," she told the boy with a grin. "Jackass Sam, kind of has a nice ring to it doesn't it?" She said teasingly. "But bad boy Sam I must see one day," she said a little bit jokingly. She knew that he could be an ass if he wanted to but he chose not to. She wondered what he was like when he was like that and she would probably see it at some point in their relationship as no relationship was perfect. She liked the way he was joking about it though, it made her feel better. She was a bit curious to see his jerk side though, she didn't know why she was maybe it was because she had only seen his sweet side since they had been dating.
Sarah had hoped that she gave good enough advice for the older Winchester, she didn't want to lead him in the wrong direction. The girl shook her head, "It shouldn't lead to a fight," she told him with a smile. "The last time I talked to Lisa she was beating herself up with not telling you earlier," she said remembering the conversation the two had. Sarah was able to hear both sides and she wasn't sure which side she agreed with more, well actually she did which was Dean and Sam's side because she understood the hunting life she knew it was hard to have a family but Dean had that chance and he was lied to about it which was actually really unfair. Lisa probably knew it was unfair but she just chose not to share her secret, at least the woman didn't face major consequences with her son and Dean.
Sarah was seriously confused at this show. "One question...why is he wearing cowboy boots if he's a doctor at a hospital? Is that even allowed?" It seemed like this show was extremely flawed and annoying but apparently Dean loved it. "But if that show makes you happy then you keep watching it!" She said trying not to laugh. She wondered if Sam liked any shows but it didn't seem like he was much of a tv watcher, Sarah wasn't one but she should start if she had the time to. She usually did have the time but she didn't know what to watch as she was behind on every show that has already started. Maybe she would start watching television next year if she remembered to watch it. She was actually thinking of giving Dean's show a chance even if it looked like a pretty weird show.
Sarah was a bit resistant when he embraced her but she gave in...she just felt comfortable and safe when she was in his arms. She buried her face in his chest smelling whatever he was wearing, most likely his deodorant. What he was saying made a lot of sense and she understood that but she still didn't understand why he couldn't tell her. The girl just smiled widely though when he said he wanted to make a life for them. She pulled away a little bit and looked into his eyes, "You want a life for us? Sounds like a big commitment," she said with a smile still on her face. The boy was forgiven just because of his use of words, he was good at that. It was like whatever he said made her feel better and she didn't know he did it and if he knew he was able to do that but that was Sarah's weakness and she would probably fall for it most of the time. He wasn't like other guys that was for sure, for one he actually listened and understanding and maybe that was why he was so good at using his words.
The boy was serious about making a life for them, he was in it for the long run and that honestly made Sarah the happiest girl in town right now. Sarah actually wondered if Sam would stop hunting but she didn't think so, once you were in the supernatural life there was usually no getting out. But she waited for his answer anyway. Once that was done with she spoke, "I think a celebration is in order with a couple of beers," she said with a smile. It was probably a little weird how Sarah actually enjoyed drinking beer with the boys but she was pretty different from other girls. She just wasn't the biggest fan of those fancy drinks, she'd still drink them but still if she wanted something fruity she would just drink a smoothie or juice, she was just one of those girls who preferred beer over other alcoholic beverages. ------------------ Credit: Graphics by Britt!
