Jessica Lee Moore kneeled down against the young woman’s grave. She had no idea why she was here, but something had drawn her. She moved the leaves away that had fallen in front of the name, cleaning it with her hands. The flowers that were dry had been replaced with brand new ones only a day or so before hand, though the dry ones still left behind. Her fingers reached out and traced the markings on the young woman’s headstone as she stared at it. The date of birth, the date of death, the name, and the sentiment underneath.
Jessica Lee Moore Beloved Daughter January 24th, 1984-November 2nd, 2005
On the side of the headstone where no one ever paid attention, was an inscription. One that her mother used to sing to her when she was younger…one that was more appropriate now than ever before.
Sparkling Angel, I believe. You are my savior in my time of need.
The song wasn’t as cheerful as the first lyrics lead one to believe, but the sentiment was still there. She remembered how her mother had made up new words to the song because she loved it too much for it to be about not believing…though now Jess really had no idea which she believed and which she didn’t.
Her mind wandered, as she sat against the tree that shielded her headstone from the elements. Her history from top to bottom wasn’t a long one, though it had merit. How she was born of a normal family, how she got into Stanford University, how she met the love of her life, Sam Winchester, how her world changed when Dean stole Sam from her in the dark of night saying he needed his brother’s help…to being killed by a yellow eyed demon in a ball of flames.
Her life had started out normal…and if she wanted to blame anyone for the outcome she could easily blame Sam…but she didn’t. She could easily blame Dean…but she didn’t. She could easily take the blame and lay it on several more people…but she didn’t. She refused to try and lay blame on anyone other than the one who had caused her death. And that demon was dead.
She stood up, brushing her clothing off, before turning away and walking out of the cemetery, never looking back. She wasn’t sure what had brought her here…but hopefully she would find it out in time.

-------------------------------- Take what's yours and leave the rest
So I'll survive God its good to be alive --------------------------------- The Trickster was now in California, away from that town, Mystic-y something or other. What ever had him drawn to that place surly wouldn’t keep him there. He had ran into too many old friends, if he could call them that, and people he never wanted to come into contact with. The Trickster had a more clear idea of everything since he had talked to Lilith, well sort of. She was brought back and so was he. Why? Who knows, but Gabriel was going to make the best of it, that’s for sure.
The Trickster wanted to learn more about this blonde angel that had stolen Dean from him in the middle of a sentence. He was still very angry about that, but will let it slide since she was his “younger sister”. The Trickster continued to walk, still paranoid that his brother Lucifer was going to pop up and kill him. That would be the day….oh wait, there was already a day like that. That didn’t matter anymore, he knew what he was dying for, he died, and now he was back, as good as ever.
The Trickster reached a cemetery and saw the young blonde woman. A smirk appeared on his face. She wasn’t born angel, that much he could sense. He just wondered how in the world she became on and figured that Michael or Raphael had something to do with it. Sometimes being out of the loop was kind of annoying when he needed to know something, other times, well all the time, he loved being out of the loop. He didn’t have to deal with his brothers constantly being at each other’s throats and Gabriel got to live the life of Loki or The Trickster and run around dishing just deserts, doing what he does best. He out smarted people. that’s what he loved about his life, that and he gave justice to people who deserved it.
The Trickster had seen this girls life. Her dying wasn’t necessary. She seemed kind and sweet. He had stopped right in front of her, hoping that would catch her attention. “Hello, remember me….blondie?” a smirk appeared on The Tricksters face.

Jessica Lee Moore was deep in thought, her mind flashing over to the many times she had spent with Sam. She wasn’t sure why she was thinking of him constantly…well…maybe that was a lie. In order to allow heaven to turn her into an angel she had asked for one thing…and that was to pull Sam back from the dead. They hadn’t told her that he had been in Lucifer’s cage…nor had they told her that he had been in hell. All they had told her was that he had been dead…and she didn’t want to exist in a word that didn’t have him in it.
Unfortunately, she was regretting her decision. Sam had come back…different. She had pulled Castiel aside originally and asked if this is what he had turned into after everyone that he had lost…but her fears had been realized when he told her no. This is what he had become when he was brought back from hell. She didn’t think about it at first, not sure why…but it had hit her later on that night.
He had been in hell…and she didn’t know why. She hadn’t been told much, hadn’t really been told anything…other than the bare minimum. He had died saving the world…so how did he go to hell? What had he done to deserve hell? Sam was a good person, he had helped people, he wanted to be a lawyer to help people, he was a nice guy, big heart…and more compassion than anyone she had ever met.
So what had made him turn into this…person that he was now? She had no idea and she wasn’t sure if she wanted to know.
Jess’ thoughts raced as she headed out of the cemetery, but a voice behind her pulled her out of her musings and into the world around her. She turned around and tilted her head to the side in confusion. He didn’t look familiar, and yet he asked if she recognized him. “uhh…no…should I?” She asked, hoping she wasn’t be rude but at the same time not really caring.

So I'll survive God its good to be alive --------------------------------- Gabriel looked at her when she said that she didn’t recognize him. Wow… she really was blonde. Gabriel let out a small, sarcastic chuckle. Right, like she didn’t know. All Gabriel wanted was to have a decent conversation with Dean Winchester, but she pulled him away. Gabriel let out an annoyed sigh before folding his arms over his chest. He looked at her, an eye brow raised.
“Well, come on now. I was the one in the forest, trying to talk to Dean.” Gabriel replied looking at her with his head tilted to the side. He was confused as to why she didn’t remember, or she did and she just forgot, what kind of angel was she? Gabriel clapped his hands together giving a smile. He didn’t really care anymore. She was an angel he had never met before and he had met all the angels seeing as they were his siblings, but this one felt different.
Gabriel tried to figure out who she was. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a candy bar and he unwrapped it, and took a bite. He was silent for a bit, just staring at her. He looked up at the sky now and wondered what was going on up there, who was calling the shots. Part of him had hoped that it was Castiel or someone other than Raphael, but he knew, somehow that it was Raphael. Gabriel had taken a step closer to her and shook his head.
“Excuse me, I’m being rude. Names Loki.” Gabriel said to her, extending a hand, being friendly, something that he usually wasn’t.

Jessica Lee Moore tilted her head to the side, knowing she probably looked like a puppy dog with her confused look but not really caring. She was lost and confused as to who this man was. She usually had some knowledge of who people were who were talking to her, but she was completely lost as to who he was. She could tell just by sensing that he was an angel of some sort…or at least that’s what she was guessing because she could feel the power on him…but she was still a bit lost. She tilted her head even more to the side though not really sure why she was, it was just something she was doing.
Her eyes widened when she finally realized who exactly he was. She had flown in for lack of a better term a few days prior to grab Dean from the woods when he was talking to someone who she now realized was the man standing in front of her. You couldn’t blame her for not knowing who he was at first since she had literally flown in, told Dean she needed his help and flown the both of them out of there. She had really needed to speak with him about how to help Sam and hadn’t been paying attention to her surroundings at all…which she realized how was probably got a good thing.
She smiled and shook his hand back once he introduced himself. “Well nice to meet you Loki…I’m Jessica Lee Moore…though everyone calls me Jess. I won’t usually answer to anything else as I usually think I’m in trouble if anyone calls me Jessica.” She stated with a laugh before looking around. “So, what exactly are you doing here?” She asked, confusion marring her perfect angelic face.

So I'll survive God its good to be alive --------------------------------- Gabriel looked at her staring at him. She was still thinking. Gabriel really thought she was blonde. Oi, now his siblings were making forgetful people angels. And how are they making people angels anyway. What is going through Michael’s head. Gabriel rolled his eyes and he continued to eat his candy bar. Gabriel finished it off and he just dropped the wrapper on the floor. that’s usually what he did, and didn’t care that he did it anyway.
Gabriel’s mind wandered to his brothers again, to his home, his old home. The archangel ran his hand through his hair and let out a sigh. He was still confused as to why he was back which was why he wanted to talk to Dean or Castiel. Gabriel then thought of father, if he was really responsible or what Joshua had said, not wanting to butt in anymore and Gabriel was brought back by Lucifer. That was a scary thought. Lucifer was more powerful, and equal to Michael so it was possible that Lucifer himself brought Gabriel back as well as Lilith. Gabriel really didn’t like that idea. He still wrapped his mind around father bringing him back. He was father’s messenger. Maybe hearing that he died had made father care.
Gabriel smiled when the angel had introduced herself. “Nice to meet you Jess.” Gabriel said, looking at her oddly. She had asked him what he was doing here and he shrugged. Gabriel really had no idea why he was here, he just was. No, wait that’s a lie. He was looking for her. She felt different, not of angel origins. “oh, I don’t know. Just here I guess... What about you?” The angel lied, looking at the young girl again, wondering why she was here as well. “So, what are you?” Gabriel then asked, wondering what she would say, if she would even know.

Jessica Lee Moore could be called many things in her life. She could be called a blonde, because she was. She could be called a slut because she’d admit that while she hadn’t slept with many people in her life, she did have a bit of a kink to her and that was something that many people couldn’t appreciate. She could be called a nerd because when she had been in school it always came first. She could be called a sap because she cried at emotional movies. She could be called a hopeless romantic because she always wanted everyone to live happily ever after.
The one thing you couldn’t call her was an idiot.
She knew when people were lying to her, it was something she had always known. It was a little gift she guessed you could call it. She knew when people were hiding things from her, knew when they were fibbing, and knew when they were telling the selective truth. She didn’t like it because it meant she had lost a lot of friends over the years by calling them out on it…but it was what it was. She wasn’t going to allow someone to lie to her face and this was no exception.
“Why are you really here?” She asked, her hands on her hips. “I know you’re lying when you said that you didn’t know why you were here. You’ll get a lot further with me if you just answer my question instead of lying. As for why I’m here… I’m here to visit my grave.” She stated with a nod back over to the marble headstone that was engraved with her name, birth date and death date, where it sat over the coffin that had once housed her dead body.
“As for what I am, I’m an angel…though not your typical one…I’m still an angel. What about you? Is Loki even your real name?” She asked, her lips pulled up into a smirk as her hands on her hips and a tilt to her brow.

--------------------------------xxxxTake what's yours and leave the rest
So I'll survive God its good to be alive --------------------------------- Gabriel looked at the angel with a half smirk on his face. She was smart, and he would hope so since she was hanging around the Winchesters. The Archangel reached into his pockets once more and realized he was running low on his sweets. No matter. He knew he could snap his fingers and more would appear, and then all will be well… well for him at least. It was one thing he couldn’t live with out. He loved the chocolate, and candy and thought it was the human’s best invention… EVER! He loved the sweetness of sugar, and wondered how he could live his angelic life with out it for as long as he had.
Gabriel looked up from his newly unwrapped chocolate bar when she had asked why he was really here. She knew he was lying. He wanted to know how. The Trickster was a great liar, hence “trickster”. he thought of himself right up there under demons as the best liar. that’s how the archangel has lived so long in his own private witness protection. He had to fully take on the persona of the Trickster Loki, Demigod, what ever happened to that poor fool. Gabriel hadn’t said anything, just taken a bite out of the sweet, sweet chocolate bar in his hand. He had simply let out a small smirk. She was a good reader, but not good enough.
An eyebrow raised when she said she was visiting her grave and that she was an angel but not a typical one. He guessed that much, but her grave? So she really was human before angel. “Not fully angel, what are they up to?” Gabriel asked himself looking at her. Gabriel half wanted to give Michael and Raphael a piece of his mind, or really wanting to figure out what the point of all this was. He took another bite out of his chocolate bar and nodded. “Loki is one of my few names. The Trickster is another, so I am not lying to you.” The Trickster argued, knowing he was telling the truth, just not revealing his real name.
The Trickster had looked around the deserted graveyard, except for the two being there. It was quite the place that he could find a demon hanging around, or a lost spirit, maybe a reaper, but an angel visiting her own grave was different. The Trickster would never visit his own grave, if he had one. Probably not. No one knew he was there, no one knew Gabriel was there except Lucifer, the Winchesters and Kali, and Lucifer and the Winchesters would certainly not go back and do anything with his empty body. That would be foolish for both of them. Maybe Kali had done something with it. Even for the goddess of chaos and destruction and for being a total bitch, she really wasn’t all that bad. Hell, the angel had feelings for her. He had feelings for all the demigods. They were like his family and Lucifer went and killed them all. That was another reason why Gabriel had loathing feelings towards him.

Jessica Lee Moore could tell something was being kept from her, though why it was she had no idea. She honestly didn’t care about the war in heaven, as bad as that was to say. She knew about it…she knew about a lot of things since she had been in heaven for awhile before being pulled out and sent back to earth as an angel. She could also hear what they wanted her to hear and she had overheard a few things she hadn’t been supposed to hear as well.
Either way, she knew about it…she just didn’t care. Okay, she cared that a lot of people would get hurt…but it wasn’t her business to interfere.
So why people continued to keep things from her she had no idea but it really did tend to annoy her. She liked being in the know, even if she had nothing to do with the situation. Sam had always told her she was too nosy for her own good and in a way that was true because she did like to know everything about everything. However at the same time, who didn’t want to know things when they were shoved in her face. It was like when you were a kid and someone said ‘I have a secret’ but then followed it up with ‘And you don’t get to know’…of course you then became obsessed with finding out.
She tended to have that mentality even now. If she knew someone was keeping something from her, it forced her to do all she could to figure it out. Half the time it ended up being something stupid and she berated herself for taking the time to even attempt to figure it out, but in the back of her mind she had always felt the sense of relief when she had finally figured it out…whether or not it actually had to do with her.
“I have no idea what they are up too.” She stated to his question. “All I know was that they pulled me out of my heaven and said they needed me here on earth to help…so I gave them my conditions, they agreed and BOOM, here I am.” She stated with a shrug of her tiny shoulders.
“So Loki is one of your names as well as the Trickster…that still doesn’t tell me what your true name is. And since you’re not telling me that makes me wonder…why don’t you just come clean and say it. I can pretty much guarantee I won’t make a big deal out of it.” She stated with a tilt of her lips.

So I'll survive God its good to be alive --------------------------------- The Trickster still stood there, looking from her, then to his surroundings. He wasn’t a fan of graveyards. They were only fun when he could play a trick on someone, a nasty one, but in this case, well her name was already on a grave marker. Gabriel had looked to the stone beside him and sat down on top of it, not really caring about respect for the dead. They were either in heaven or in hell, two places he wasn’t a fan of period, or at the moment.
Jessica started talking about how she became an angel. Who had the power to do it? It certainly wasn’t any regular angel so that had to mean it was either Raphael or Michael. He put his money down on Raphael though. That dude was a psychopath with a capitol PSYCHO! Gabriel smiled at the thought. It was true. Michael was loyal, Lucifer betrayed and Raphie was a psycho and Gabriel himself? Well there is a list a mile long about him. “It was probably a mistake to agree to that. They always want something in return.” Gabriel said to her honestly. He had hoped that nothing bad would happen to her. Raphie could be very unpredictable.
The young blonde had continued to pressure him. He looked at her with a serious look. “seriously. You don’t want to know and you may make a big deal out of it,” Gabriel paused, still looking at her with the same serious look. “They cant find out I’m still here, other wise, well, I don’t know what will happen.” Gabriel finished, still trying to avoid giving her his name. the last thing he wanted was Raphael finding out. Gabriel didn’t know if she would be one of his spies or not.

Jessica Lee Moore snorted when the angel in front of her told her that it had been a mistake to agree to what she did. “Yeah, no shit.” She stated with a sneer in the direction of the sky. She knew she was acting out of character for her but she couldn’t help it. Sam didn’t have a soul for god’s sake and yet they had pulled him from the dead. “They didn’t tell me a lot when I asked for what I did.” She told him, her face in a way that it was quite clear that she was highly annoyed.
“When I asked for my ex to be brought back I was not informed that he was in hell…I was also not informed of a lot more but since I don’t know you I am not comfortable at all giving you the inner workings on my life. No offense.” She stated with a small apologetic laugh. He seemed like an okay person but again, she didn’t know him. There was a time that she would have trusted him hands down but she had learned from experience that she couldn’t trust anyone that she didn’t know well and even then she had learned to be careful who she trusted.
Her death had secured that lesson in her brain in a large and permanent way.
“They also sent someone to be my ‘mentor’ and then he didn’t even show me anything! He flew out before telling me how to do anything so I’ve really had to learn on my own and it’s not been at all easy or fun to do let me tell you.” She told him with another glare to the sky.
If she didn’t know any better she would say the guy in front of her was scared. She hated to say that because she knew most guys hated to be told that they were afraid of anything but at the same time it really did seem as if he was afraid. Especially when the statement about they not being able to find out where he was. “I promise…I won’t make a big deal out of it. I’ll admit I was never much for theology though I went to church and such as a young child so whatever you tell me I promise I won’t repeat.” She told him, a sincere smile on her face. It was true; she would never endanger anyone intentionally.

--------------------------------xxxxTake what's yours and leave the rest
So I'll survive God its good to be alive --------------------------------- Gabriel eyed Jessica when she agreed. He did have the power to take away the angel abilities and bring her back if he really wanted to but as of now he was supposed to be in hiding, something he seemed to be failing at miserably since he already ran into Castiel, Dean, Giselle and just about everyone else. He knew that it was time, time to go off and stand up to Raphael and his brothers but Gabriel seemed to be unable to do it. He didn’t want to spend the rest of eternity in heaven. He could care less for the place. He would much rather be walking among earth, people. He knew they wouldn’t understand. They never understood Gabe. Not once. He was always the little brother who knew little compared to his brothers.
Gabriel looked at her crazily. “what did you ask for, exactly?” Gabriel asked her, with more of a concerned face than anything else. Sometimes, angels could be worse than demons when it came to deals and things like that. He knew his siblings, what they could do to a soul and sometimes it wasn’t always the best thing, no, it was never the best thing. Gabriel sighed. This keeps getting better and better.
Sure, after that question, Gabriel knew he would have to tell her the truth, who he really is. She went on about her mentor. A mentor? He wondered who that could be. Gabriel had then had a thought occur to him. He would tell her who he is and ask her what she wants to know, teach her. But first… “Who is your mentor, if you don’t mind me asking.” I guarantee you its probably a dumb ass.. Gabriel thought, didn’t say. He didn’t want to make the new blonde angel angry, but at the sound of it, she wasn’t even close to her mentor.
Gabriel let out a sigh and looked around. Well like it mattered anyway. Spies. Everywhere there were spies. Raphael had to know by now Gabriel was alive and Lilith knew already so there was no need for secrets anymore. He just didn’t want Raphael or Lilith to find him. Make like a tree and leave.
She promised she wouldn’t say anything, again like it mattered, but Gabriel trusted her. He was going to hold her to her word. Not like he would kill her or anything. She was good, a good kid. Too bad she was killed as young as she was. He didn’t like that, in fact, it bugged him to death…not literally.
“You, they, call me Gabriel. I am on the run, well by my own definition. I ran away from heaven. Gabriel replied, in all seriousness. “in case you haven’t noticed, heaven is being run by a bunch of dumb ass siblings of mine who couldn’t find their ass if it was in front of their fuckin’ faces.” Gabriel said, now more of a joke, even though it was true. Or so he thought it was true.

Jessica Lee Moore searched the man’s eyes in front of her. She could tell that somehow he was trustworthy…but a prankster at the same time. It was an odd combination since most people who were pranksters in her mind weren’t at all trustworthy…but she felt for some reason that he was. She also had the feeling that while some of his jokes, or pranks, or tricks, or whatever he called them, were sometimes funny to him…they were also sometimes not funny to others. Again, she was a good judge of character for the most part but she wouldn’t bet her life on it.
Okay, maybe she would…however that wasn’t the point.
When she heard the man ask what she asked for, she thought for a moment. Should she trust him? Would he smite in on site if he found out that she asked for her former lover to be brought back from the dead? Of course it hadn’t been her fault as she hadn’t been completely informed about the situation before asking for her deal…but again…there was nothing she could do about it now. She was now stuck trying to figure out a way to free Sam Winchester’s soul from Lucifer’s cage…a place where it should have never been.
“I asked for the love of my life to be brought back from the dead.” She simply answered, before deciding to trust her gut instinct and hope for the best. “What I wasn’t informed was that he was in hell and they brought him back not fully all there…” She stated, not giving away the most important part but giving away enough that he might possibly have a few ideas. “As for my mentor…it was supposed to be Castiel but something came up and he sort of just vanished so now I’m on my own.” She told him, glaring at the tree to her side. She hated not understanding everything, but this is what she had been taught and nothing more.
Her eyes stayed the same size instead of widening when he stated his name was Gabriel. She had heard of Gabriel in Sunday school back when but again, it didn’t faze her a bit when he declared his name…though the siblings comment struck her as odd. “I’ve noticed heaven isn’t what I always imagined. It seems that everything is more of a war up there than it is down here. It’s strange out skewed the bible got it.” She stated simply.

--------------------------------xxxxTake what's yours and leave the rest
So I'll survive God its good to be alive --------------------------------- Gabriel listened to Jessica speak. She seemed concerned for her lover, something that Gabriel could understand. He was concerned when all the demigods wanted to bring Lucifer to them to kill him. Gabriel knew they didn’t stand a chance, and the only people that did was Dean, Sam and Michael. Even Gabriel himself couldn’t beat Lucifer.
Her mentor was supposed to be Castiel. He now felt bad for her. Castiel was too busy with other stuff to even have time for her. He let out a drastic sigh. Gabriel wondered if she knew what was going on up in heaven. “everything is a lot more war up there than down here. The bible isnt far off from what heaven used to be. Father used to be there.” Gabriel said, now looking a bit saddened. “father left, disappeared. Some angels say he is dead, but I know he isn’t. I died and now I am here. There could only be one explanation for that one and it comes down to one word, father.” Gabriel said to her, knowing, hoping it was true. He knew his brothers didn’t have the power to bring Gabriel back from the dead. No one did but him.
“You want someone to teach you, I would be more than happy. Gives me something to do.” Gabriel offered her. “and believe me. I am nothing like my siblings up there. No tricks, no secrets, no read the fine print.” Gabriel then said. “I can teach you a lot more than what higher powers up there want you to know. Just promise me one thing. You will tell no one. If I teach you, and they find out, they will probably be very angry.” Gabriel said to her, knowing that they wouldn’t approve. “no secrets… hard to do. See the reason why they will be angry is because I learned everything I know from Lucifer. Michael and Raphael aren’t too keen on that one.” Gabriel shrugged.
Gabriel had hoped that she would take his offer. He hadn’t offered anything like this before and wondered how hard it would be. He could help her and in return she could help him. He knew that it was only a matter of time before Raphael or someone up there plays cards with her soul. He knew that angels wouldn’t do that but when it was necessary, it would be terrible. She was a big card to be played against Sam and Dean. If they did something that Raphael didn’t like anyway. Ugh, this was a lot worse than Gabriel thought.

Jessica Lee Moore nodded her head when Gabriel spoke about how there was more going on up in heaven than there was going on down on earth. It was something she had learned quickly after her death, and something she could have really lived (or not lived as the case may be) without ever knowing that fact. She had always had this…vision…of what heaven should look like…and what she found was honestly a bit of a disappointment. Sure her heaven was exactly that, but once you ventured out into others it was a bit scary to be perfectly honest. She didn’t like that there was war in heaven, where all the bibles told you that there was no pain, no suffering, no hurt, in heaven.
Why the bible lied to her she wasn’t sure but she had many times thought about requesting a rewrite.
She was surprised when Gabriel offered to teach her, but she wasn’t at all about to turn it down. She hated not understanding her own strength and weaknesses. She had no idea who or what she was other than the basics. She knew how to fly but didn’t understand why she could….it was frustrating to someone like her who loved to know not only how, but who, what, when, where and why.
“I’m not about ready to tell anyone about anything. I still don’t know who I can and cannot trust…so I promise I wouldn’t break yours. As for Lucifer…he’s a jackass from what I’ve heard…but he wasn’t always like that was he?” She asked him, not remembering all there was to know about Lucifer and Michael. She knew the basics…one was the devil…and one was the higher up angel…but other than that she drew a mysterious blank, again, something she wasn’t at all okay with.
“Besides, I like to help…so maybe if you teach me…I can help you. I’m willing to do whatever it takes…I just don’t want to turn into a bad person.” She told him before waiting for his reply.
