Just another night at the Grill, Caroline thought to herself. She sauntered into the Mystic Grill and looked around, checking for familiar faces. When she didn't immediately see anyone she took a seat at a small table by herself. Earlier that day she'd snagged a couple of blood packets from Damon's, which she'd stored in the back of her freezer. She hoped her mother hadn't noticed, though she was sure she would eventually. Lately they had been growing a lot closer and she had slowly been coming to terms with Caroline being a vampire. She had drank one of the packets immediately, suppressing her thirst for a few hours at least. Later tonight when she got home she knew she'd drink another one before bed.
Upon sitting down at the table, a young girl came to ask her what she wanted to order. She recognized the girl from school, she was a sophomore that had tried out for the cheer leading team. Unfortunately she hadn't made the cut and Caroline hoped she wasn't going to spit into her drink or anything. Normal human food still tasted good but she wasn't quite sure what she wanted. For now, she just asked the girl for an iced tea. The girl, Tanya was her name, told her she would be right back with it.
It was the start of her Senior year at Mystic Falls high and even though graduation would be exciting, she couldn't help but be a bit sad. College would be fun but then again, she couldn't help but wonder if she even needed to go. As a vampire she could get her degree but since she'd live forever, she'd have to keep getting it over and over again. Not only that but she also knew eventually she'd have to move on to another town to live in. Eventually, people would begin to catch on that she wasn't aging at all. The fact that she'd be seventeen forever also bothered her. Turning eighteen and twenty one and hell, even thirty, were all supposed to be huge milestone's in one's life. Even though realistically she'd still turn those ages, her body would always be that of a teenager.
Snapping back out of her thoughts, Tanya returned with her iced tea. Caroline told her thanks and that she still wasn't sure what she wanted to eat. The waitress told her she'd come back in a little bit after Caroline had time to decide. Caroline offered her a genuine smile and then began to look around the Grill. There were teenagers all over the place. Some sitting down and eating and talking, having a good time. Others were playing pool and laughing it up like normal teenagers. As she sat there, she began to grow more and more lonely.

----------------------- ----------------------- Klaus stepped out of the car he had aquired. If anyone asked he bought it, of course that wasn't exactly the case though. As if that mattered to someone like him? He had finally arrived in Mystic Falls. He left Rebekah to go off and apply for the local high school. Who wanted to go through high school again seriously? He almost shuddered at the thought of it. Mystic Falls was a small dreary looking town. Everyone knew everyone and if there was a new face it was most likely a vampire. There were too many of the supernatural walking around in this town, as if it wasn't obvious already? There was a secret council for crying out loud, he shook himself mentally walked around the streets. There had to be somewhere that everyone hung out, somewhere he could get to know the locals.
He stopped in front of a small cafe but there weren't many people in it. Mainly the elder people and that didn't appeal to him in anyway. The coffee maybe but that was about it. Klaus rolled his eyes and kept walking. Someone pushing past him they fell to floor as he pushed back. Oh yes, this was going to be entertaining. He thought about all the lives he had already ruined in this small town. Jenna was a vampire so that changed Elena and Jeremy's life. Tyler was sired to him making little Caroline deeply upset. Stefan was practically his slave, and he would remain that way until he had paid off his debt for saving his brother. Klaus drove a hard bargain but when he wanted something he tended to get it.
He reached a small plce named Mystic Grill. He listened carefully, he could hear someone playing pool inside and music playing and a lot of people milling around. Of course they would chose something named Mystic Grill. How lame. He entered the grill and straight away made his way up to the bar. Nothing wrong with a small beverage to make him feel just a little better. He didn't crave blood quite like he used to but it was still there. Something to help get rid of those cravings would be good. Ordering his Millers whiskey he leant with his back against the bar taking in his surroundings. So this was the place that everyone hung out, interesting. It wasn't even that appealing.
Looking at one of the tables he saw a blonde girl sitting. Of course he knew who it was. He had just ruined her love life. Oh well. It was Caroline just sitting there on her own looking extremely sad with herself. He rolled his eyes. Walking over there he sat in the chair opposite her but moved it so it was slightly loser. "Do you mind?"
Not that she had a choice. Looking at her face she looked utterly miserable. "You have all of eternity ahead of you and yet you sit here and ponder about your life with a hybrid. Come on now love, there's better ways of living. Even when your dead" He said it with a small smile on the side of his lips. He took a sip of his whiskey as he observed her. She continued to watch the teenagers playing pool across the bar. There was a time where Caroline's life had been similar to their lives. Where her biggest problem had been what she was going to wear that day to school, or who she was going to hang out with. Or when she'd been stressing out over planning a dance at school. Those times had been much simpler than her life now. Now, she was in a constant state of frenzy almost. It seemed that once everything started to settle, the dust was stirred up again. Stefan was still under Klaus' compulsion wreaking havoc, god only knew what he was up to right now.
Speaking of Klaus, she felt the presence of another vampire and looked up to see him entering the bar. She muttered a curse under her breath and briefly thought about leaving. But she didn't, she wasn't going to be run out of the Grill by him. He could be here all he wanted, she didn't have to talk to him. Slinking into her chair a bit more, she hoped he wouldn't notice her. After the day she'd had today she really didn't need any more trouble. She watched him carefully as he ordered a drink from the bar. When he turned and began heading towards her, she felt her heart sink into her chest.
It just figured that she couldn't get through a single day without any issues. Klaus was the last person that she wanted to see right now. He had done so much to hurt all of them. Killing Jenna, turning Tyler and now taking Stefan under his compulsion and turning him into a monster. Plus, hello, he had killed her boyfriend and forced him to become a hybrid. Now, Tyler was glued to him by some freaky sire bond. To make a long story short, she absolutely hated the guy.
When he took the seat across from her she couldn't help but roll her eyes. Of course, he would sit with her. "Actually I do mind, not that you care"
she spat at the hybrid. Her voice was full of a mixture between just plain attitude and a bit of disgust thrown in there. As he moved his chair closer to her she just glared at him. Hearing him talk about Tyler in such a way pissed her off. Hell to be honest hearing him talk just in general pissed her off quite a bit. "First of all Klaus, don't call me love." Her voice was very matter of fact. They weren't on any terms to be calling each other by pet names. "Second of all, you did this to Tyler, to me. You've ruined everything since you came here." She kind of wanted a drink of her tea but she didn't want to break the death stare she was currently giving the original. [/blockquote][/blockquote] Anyone and everyone! 499 I'll add lataaa. Lol she's feeling pretty fiesty!

----------------------- ----------------------- Klaus observed the blonde with interest. She had such fire in her. He could tell that she was a young vampire but there was something about her. She had been through a lot and was coping in her own way. He saw the look on her face when he approached though. Obviously she still hated him for what had happened between her and Tyler. Seriously that was a little low. At least she could now move on and be with someone who deserves to be with her, someone stronger and who can look after her better than anyone else. He wondered if she even knew what life was like outside this little town. If she knew what extremes she could go to just to be someone else? She hadn't even started living her vampire life yet and she didn't even know it.
When he sat down she gave him a stare. If looks could kill huh? He chuckled slightly when she said that she did mind if he sat down next to her. He rolled his eyes a little but continued to watch her carefully. She interested him. "Come now, shouldn't we keep this conversation pleseant?"
He asked her carefully with a slight smile on his lips. He took another sip of his drink and realised he had almost finished what was in his glass. Oh well he would just order another one and probably buy Caroline what ever she wanted. Although it looked as though she were drinking something utterly repulsive. Iced Tea by the looks of it. He tried not to think about human food and drink, it was repulsive to him. He preferred alcohol and blood. He couldn't help his chuckle when she asked or more likely stated for him not to call her love. He called everyone that and she wasn't going to be an exception. "Would you prefer other pet names? What does Tyler call you then?" He knew he was rubbing it in slightly mentioning Tyler but he just couldn't seem to help it. There was something about her that brought that side up and out. Maybe it's because she would come in handy should anything go wrong. He already had Tyler under his wing a long with Stefan, if he could get everyone under his control well then Mystic Falls might actually be a pleasent place to be. Not to mention easier to get to Elena so he could get what he wants. He watched her carefully his expression nuetral as she ranted at him about what he had done to Tyler and how he had ruined a lot of people's lives. As if he hadn't heard all of this already. He rolled his eyes and let out a big sigh. Finishing off his drink in one mouthful before replying to her. "Caroline, I wouldn't have had to mess anything up should Elena do what I had asked her to do. But because of you and the rest of her friends, well it made things complicated meaning I did what I had to do. Just you wait, when you realise the things you can do, things that you've always dreamed of. Well then maybe you'll understand" He said it with a small smirk. He looked around for anyone that would refill his drink. He would buy Caroline another just out of politeness. No matter what Niklaus had been taught right and knew how to be polite, no matter what others thought about it. The waitress finally realised he was trying to catch her attention and he smiled. She came over and he looked over at her. "I'll have another but make it a double this time please and what ever this lovely lady is drinking here" He said with a small smile and inclining his head towards Caroline. Then he spoke to her directly. "On me" He said with a small smile and then looked back at the waitress handing her his glass so she could refill it. Heh, why in the hell would they keep this conversation pleasant? She had no reason to want to talk to him. In fact, she had tons of reasons to completely hate him. She didn't want to see him nor did she want to even be near him. The very fact that he had the balls to sit across from her showed her that he didn't care. That he didn't feel bad for anything he'd done, that he had no remorse. That fact alone made it impossible for her to ever be friendly with him. "And why in the hell would we do that?"
she told him nastily. It dumbfounded her that he even thought it was alright to be sitting with her. That he could want to talk to her, to be friendly. Honestly she was wondering just how oblivious he was to the fact that he was utterly hated. This was stressing her out and even though she didn't feel like dealing with it, she wasn't going to leave. Not this soon anyways. She didn't want him to think that she was afraid of him. Honestly she wasn't, even though he could probably snap her like a twig in a second. He hadn't tried to and for some reason she didn't think he was going to. Not unless she crossed him, of course. Which in all honesty she would probably do just that eventually. "Do NOT talk to me about Tyler, don't even say his name." Her voice was dominant and demanding, not caring if it angered him or not. She didn't give a damn about him or his feelings. Again she felt the need to roll her eyes at him, so did just that. She then made a signal with her fingers of someone talking, insinuating that he talked far too much. She was quite chatty herself, she couldn't lie about that, she just wasn't with him. "I will never understand you, Klaus. And I don't really ever want to." This was an extremely honest answer and she didn't care what he thought about her for saying it. "Don't you ever get sick of being such an ass?" the girl then asked, her voice still annoyed, but a bit softer this time. She wondered if he truly understood how much people really hated him. When her waitress from earlier, Tanya, came over she smiled trying to act as if she didn't want to kill the man at her table. She couldn't help but snort a bit as he offered to buy her a drink. Screw it, if he was going to continue to talk to her and buy her a drink she was going to drink, and not iced tea. "Please get me a double of your strongest, most expensive vodka, please." She told the waitress, switching up her drink. The waitress then proceeded to ask her for her I.D. "I'm twenty one, trust me." When she said this she looked deeply into the girl's eyes, compelling her to believe her. The girl nodded and stated that she was twenty one and that she'd be right back with their drinks. Caroline smiled to her as she walked away. Turning back to Klaus now, she couldn't help but let the smile slip from her delicate features. "I'm going to need to be highly intoxicated if your going to continue to sit here." It was a rather rude comment, which she was glad, it had been meant to be. She didn't need to make small talk with the man, she didn't even want him sitting here. She had the urge to kick him underneath the table but she refrained. Honestly, she didn't really feel like dying tonight. Klaus could rip her heart right out of her chest before she even knew what was happening. The waitress then returned shortly after with their drinks in hand. She set them both down on the table. Caroline immediately took hers and downed it. Feeling the burn in her throat, she scrunched her nose up a bit and made a face. "Keep them coming" she told the girl, to which the girl nodded and walked back to the bar. It wouldn't take her long to get drunk. She was a tiny girl and she didn't drink often. She was going to need it if she was spending the night with Klaus.[/blockquote][/blockquote] Anyone and everyone! 767 I'll add lataaa. Caroline's getting schwasted!

----------------------- ----------------------- For some reason he couldn't keep the smile off of his face. He never realised just quite how amusing Caroline truelly was. She also reminded him a lot of himself. Back when he had just been a turned vampire. He had also been stubborn. She was stunning when she was being like this, not something he actually expected out of the vampire. He chuckled once more at her little comment. She really was a fiery one. "Well it's that or we might just get a few weird stares from around us love"
He said it with a smal sly smile. He knew that she wanted nothing better than to walk away from their conversation but it was still amusing to talk to her. He observed her carefully, normally she would be the one he would compell information out of as she was hte most talkative. Niklaus rolled his eyes when Caroline got all defensive about Tyler. She would eventually get over him. When she realises that he wasn't worth her time. Why be with someone that could kill you within an instant? He let out a deep breath. "As far as Tyler is concerned he' beneath you. You'll realise it one day don't you worry" He said it with a small smile. Taking another sip of his drink he was happy that she hadn't gotten up and left. Well she was either very brave or very stupid. She was trying to proove that she wasn't scared of him, well then she would be mistaken. She was scared of Katherine and not of him. Silly mistake. Especially when he catches up with Katerina again. He had to chuckle at her hand gestures though. At least she was being honest and that was something he appeciated in someone. He shook his head at her comment and leant forward reasting his elbow on the table slightly at the side of him. "You don't even know me. Maybe you should try one day. When all this is behind us" He said it with a cocky smile. He knew that he was teasing her trying to get a reaction. No doubt he would get one as well. He couldn't help but laugh at her next comment though. "Oh Caroline. If only you knew how exhilirating it can be to get what you want" He said it with a smile and knew that he was right. She had used compulsion to get something to her own way by now surely. It was no different, he was just more forceful with it. As the girl was about to leave with Klaus's order Caroline actually spoke up. She was actually going to have a drink with him. He inclined his head with raised eye brows. Well that was something at least. Maybe this night was about to get just a little more interesting. He nodded at what she said about needing to be intoxicated to talk to him. He laughed at her. When the omwna came back with their drinks he raised his glass to her. Watching as she downed her he did the same. She asked for it to keep coming he just looked at her. Just bring both bottle down. I'll pay for them before I leave" He said it with a smile and compelled the girl. Of course he might not end up paying. The bottles arrived and he filled Carolines drink and then his own. "Here's to this night getting a little more interesting" He said with a smile and took a mouthful of his drink. [/blockquote] -----------------------

The constant smile on his face pissed her off. She had no clue what he could be so damned happy about. He had basically ruined hers and all of her friends lives. Then again, he seemed to enjoy doing it so she couldn't blame the smile. "Yeah and we're going to stay in public, really don't feel like letting you rip my head off tonight."
Honestly she didn't believe that he'd kill her around this many people, though she didn't know for sure. Klaus had done a lot of messed up things since coming to Mystic Falls. No one truly knew everything that he was capable of. It was impossible to know actually, considering that he was rather insane. Seeing him roll his eyes, she wanted to smack him upside the head. How dare he roll his eyes to her? That was her signature move, everyone knew that. "Beneath me? The only person that is beneath me is you, Klaus." She couldn't believe the audacity he'd shown by saying something like this. Tyler and her had been doing just fine until he came along and snapped his neck, then turning him into a hybrid. Basically wherever Klaus went, a shit storm tended to follow directly behind him. He made a path of destruction wherever he went. Her eyes widened at hearing his next comment about getting to know him. It was such a ridiculous comment. In fact it was so ridiculous that she had to take a deep breath to calm herself. Technically she didn't need to breathe, no vampire did. Still, it was the ritual itself that was calming. She wasn't in the mood to continue bickering with him right now. Deciding to go another route, she let the smile slide off of her features so that she would appear more serious. Next, she leaned forward as well, getting closer to his face. "And why would I do that?" she told him, her eyes looking deeply into his. She was looking for an honest answer. An answer that she knew didn't exist. An answer that would make her forgive him for everything that he'd done. It wasn't a possibility, but she hadn't felt like arguing anymore. Constantly being bitchy and bratty towards him was tiring. She was tired in general. Tired physically, mentally. Constantly being on guard and watching out for everyone else was wearing her town. The Stefan situation tired her out as well. She was either always out looking for him or she was watching over Elena. Not only did she watch over Elena because of Stefan, but because of Klaus as well. The very same man she was currently sitting across from. Since she'd become a vampire, she hadn't really compelled many people. Usually if she did, it was for their own good. Never had she really used it to get something she wanted, she didn't feel it was right. "It's wrong, Klaus..to compel people for selfish reasons like that? It's wrong" she told him sternly, sitting back upright and no longer leaning closer to him. The hybrid raised his eyebrows when she decided to indeed order a drink. She couldn't help but notice that it was kind of...cute? NO Caroline, she thought to herself, nothing about him is cute! Snap out of it! Trying to shake off these thoughts, she stayed silent when he asked for the entire bottles. Now she was thinking that alcohol and Klaus might not be the best idea. Nonetheless she wasn't going to drink anyways, screw it. She'd had a bad day. As he drank, she took a drink as well. However she didn't just take a drink. She guzzled about, oh, two or three shots worth of vodka down. It burned her throat terribly. She noticed that it hadn't burned as bad as earlier and she wondered if it was beginning to effect her. "Do you think you can buy my attention?" she blurted out after drinking. Great. She had basically insulted a man who could rip her head off with one hand. Not the smartest move she'd ever made. After she said this, she sheepishly shifted her eyes away from his.[/blockquote][/blockquote] Anyone and everyone! 728 I'll add lataaa. Klaus is so cute! Ya know...as cute as a coldblood killer can be!

----------------------- ----------------------- Klaus listened to her explain why they were staying in public. Did he really have that bad of a reputation of ripping people's heads off? He thought about it and shrugged. He was more likely to rip out someones heart than rip off their heads. Less of an effort that way. He chuckled slighlty anyway and shook his head. "Dear Caroline. If I wanted you dead. Don't you think that's what you would be by now?"
He explained with a small smile on his face. It was the truth that was for sure. If Klaus wanted someone dead than that's exactly where they would be. He had no qualms in killing someone just because they were in the way. He looked over at the blonde sitting infront of him, she definitely had a knack of telling the truth and speaking her mind, something he admired in people. He could see the frustration that was apparent all over her face. It was somewhat amusing. She was trying so hard to keep her cool and yet he was finding this conversation amusing and relaxing. His calm exterior wasn't just an exterior. He was actually quite happy sitting here have a nice little conversation with her. He shook his head. She really didn't know what she had just said did she? "Don't worry love. One day you'll see my side rationally. We are one in the same me and you" He said it with a smile knowing how much that sentance alone would piss her off. Being compared to him wasn't something people in this town liked. Well apart from his Hybrids that was. He thought about his siter and how much trouble she was going to be making when she started attending the high school. Niklaus would do everything in his power to watch over this town and everyone residing in it. Her next move actually took him by surprise. For someone who didn't want to communicate with him or even be in the same room as him, she leaned forward and asked him a direct question. He could tell that she was looking for an honest answer. Something that would give her insight on him. He was actually compelled to tell the truth. Not the compulsion that they used frequently enough but just normally wanted to tell her everything. What the hell was that all about? "Because, I'm not as bad as you think I am. You've only seen this side of me because of what I needed to be free. There is more to me than meets the eye and deep down. I think you know that." He said it with all seriousness to let her know that he was telling her the honest truth. He really did think that some people should get to know him. Seriously? He was the one being chatisised for using compulsion. He almost wanted to laugh at the thought of it. She hadn't objected to using it for her own pleasure. Everyone has once upon a time. Anytime anyone uses it it should be wrong. Shaking his head Niklaus looked over at her as she backed away from him and sat back in her chair. "That's like saying you haven't used it before at all. You can't tell me tha.t. Not even from when you first turned and all you could think about was blood?" He asked her carefully. Surely when there was blood sitting there in front of her she had to compel the person to forget she had bitten them? That meant it had been for her own pleasure. For something she wanted and could only get in that way. Something sparked in Caroline and he noticed it. Like she was hacing an internal argument about something. He kept quite about it but it didn't stop him from being curious about it. He watched her carefully and instead turned his attention back to his drink. She drained more than he did and he chuckled. It was obviously burning her throat and she probbaly didn't drink as often as he did. This night was going to be very entertaining if she was going to end up getting drunk. Pouring another drink for the both of them he picked up his glass and took a mouthful not quite finishing the drink. Her question caught him off gaurd but he didn't show it. "veryone has a price. But no i'm not. I'm simply being polite, isn't that what you wanted instead of me ripping your head off as you expressed". He watched her to asses her reaction. The alcohol in her would make everything interesting. [/blockquote] -----------------------

The original's shrug was so nonchalant that it kind of pissed her off. In fact, it didn't kind of piss her off, it did piss her off. The way he acted in general made her made. He treated people like crap, hurt and killed people and yet he didn't think it was a big deal. To Klaus it seemed like a completely normal thing to do, killing that is. He killed like most people texted and it was ridiculous. "Not unless you have some...super evil plan to make it a slow and agonizing death! So she was being a bit sarcastic at the moment. She couldn't help it, even though he pissed her off he made her laugh sometimes. Some of the things he said were just plain weird, or funny.
With every sentence she found herself more annoyed and more shocked. Hearing that he thought the two of them were alike angered her. It was seeming like everything he would say or do would anger her, for good reason of course. He had put her and her friends through a lot and had been at the hands of a lot of deaths in Mystic Falls. He deserved every bit of attitude he received from her and she couldn't careless what he thought of it. "First off, I'm not being irrational. Your just an idiot. And secondly, we are nothing alike."
With this, she made a huff and turned her head to the side. At the moment she was getting very frustrated and didn't want to look him in the eyes. Instead, she looked back to the other people in the bar and started people watching. It was a lot more interesting then talking to him, that was for sure. Something took her over when she had asked her next question. It seemed like maybe, there was something underneath him that wasn't so terrible. She knew that more than likely she was being an ass by thinking it, but she had to at least try. Or did she? Alright, she really didn't, but she did anyways. For a moment she thought about what he had said. In a weird way...she felt like he was telling the truth. Something was telling her to believe him but her head told her not to. "Then show me, Klaus. Do something good for once" she said seriously. Her brown, doe eyes looked into his intensely. She wanted him to know that she was actually giving him the benefit of the doubt. She wasn't sure why she wanted to believe there was something good in him, but she did. It wasn't something that she could explain to anyone, just something that she felt. She realized that she now looked like a bit of a hypocrite. Only minutes ago she had used compulsion to get a shot. As he began returning the favor and spitting it back at her, she poured herself another shot. Once he was finished she shook her head in objection and took another shot. As it burned down her throat, she looked back to him. "That was different, I was new to this and I couldn't control myself. You have been a vampire for over a thousand years old. No excuses" she said with a serious look on her face. Why didn't he understand that she wasn't trying to spend time with him? It was almost like he knew, but didn't care. As if he wanted to spend time with her anyways. For the life of her, she couldn't think of why. The alcohol was now definitely beginning to affect her. The more he talked the more she drank. She regretted her insult as soon as it came out, but knew it was too late to take it back. He poured them both another drink and she downed hers, like she had been all night. The more she drank the less it hurt, and the less annoying he became. She nodded her head softly, "yes, thank you for not ripping out my heart or anything. So kind of you" she said sarcastically. She knew that it was probably pushing his buttons now but she didn't especially care. If she was going to die, she was going to go down with a fight. Granted it wouldn't take him very long to do the deed. Hopefully if she drank enough, it wouldn't hurt much either. As both of them ceased to talk for a moment in between words, she twirled a piece of her hair around her finger. She wasn't sure if she was nervous or what but she felt on edge. Then, a thought popped into her head. The alcohol was definitely in her system and because she was feeling buzzed, she blurted it out immediately. "Why are you being so nice to me anyways?" she asked quite frankly. Klaus wasn't nice to anyone, ever. It was quite strange. As she waited for him to respond, she took another sip of her vodka. This time she only took about a half of a shot, she needed to slow down or she was going to be drunk pretty soon. If she wasn't already almost there.[/blockquote][/blockquote] Klaus 895 I'll add lataaa. Ugh...sorry this is so long. For some reason, I like love them? LOL.

----------------------- ----------------------- Klaus hoped that this night would be informative as well as something to pass the time. It helped that he was talking to the right person. Caroline had always been the one to talk about everything even when she wasn't supposed. He listened as she started to double think what he had just said. Now that really made him laugh. Seriously? He must have a really bad reputation around here. Oh well. He shook his head and looked at her carefully. "Caroline, if I wanted you dead then let's just say that you would definitely be dead by now. Truthfully you aren't in any "evil" plan of mine and never had been. Your connection to Tyler was no problem of my own. Oh apart from wen I wanted to use you as the vampire in my sacrifice"
He said with a small smile. He was being completely honest, actually that's all he had been since talking to her. Caroline seemed intent on there not being anything about the two of them that were alike. That was so not true. If only she knew how alike they truly were. Everything about them down to their basic instincts and nature. It was to survive and that made the more alike than anything else. The difference being they had a separate weapon compared to humans. "I never said you were being irrational. But at this moment your head is clouded with your feelings. Once that has passed you'll see how alike we really are. Give it a hundred years or so" He said with a slight smile with a small raise to his glass and taking good drink finishing off what was left in the glass. One day she would see what he could so clearly. Her next request actually took Niklaus by surprise. Do something good? If only the line between good and bad were so black and white. It just wasn't anymore. Good to Klaus meant that he was looking out for more than just one person, which he did on a regular basis when he protected his family. Had no one seen him with Rebekah or Elijah? What he had gone through to protect them. "The term good is very subjective Caroline. Even you know this." He went into thought about everything he did to protect his family and knew that once they awoke, they would not forgive him lightly. He tried not to think about it and mentally shook himself. Instead he let himself look over at Caroline. Her fierceness was becoming very alluring for him, something he hadn't expected. Klaus took another sip of his drink and realised he had just downed his drink once again. He wasn't drinking as fast as Caroline though. She was downing her within seconds and no doubt she would be starting to feel the buzz soon enough. He listened to her carefully as he poured them both yet another drink. At this rate they were both going to end up going through the bottle. She would have to start drinking what he was as her bottle was a little smaller than his and she was drinking faster than he was. He smiled just a little at the side of his lips. "So you've never used it since then? Never once needed to get your own way? Never made someone forget what they saw? Don't be a hypocrite Caroline it doesn't suit you" He said as a matter of fact way. Her sarcasm was definitely something that made him laugh. She was definitely so fierce in her own way. It made him look at her in a different way. To anyone that didn't know them it would look as though they were flirting constantly back and forth. "It's ok love, I have no intention of killing in the near future. You can relish in your existence a little bit longer" He was being an arrogant ass at that point but he just couldn't help it. She was bringing it out in him something that not a lot of people could do very easily. Normally only family got him like this. He tried not to think about it much and concentrate on the person sitting in front of him. He could sense how the drink was making her feel. It was almost as though he could feel her energy as it radiated from her. The buzz had started to hit her and actually loosen her tounge. Something that he had kind of hoped would happen. "Is it so hard to think that I like you? Your definitely the most amusing person in town I've found so far. Plus you make a great person to drink with." He said with a small smirk. Sitting here with her was relaxing him and he was doing nothing but filling up her drinks. As he looked at her twirling her finger around her finger he actually wanted to lean forward and push her hair around her face so it framed her good looks. He mentally shook himself. If he wanted her affection he would win it. He didn't even know why he was thinking like this. Maybe the drink was getting to him as well. [/blockquote] -----------------------

Caroline glanced to the bar and looked at the clock, she couldn't believe how long they'd already been sitting here. She hadn't known what time it was exactly when he'd first sat here, but she knew they'd been talking at least an hour by now. If any of her friends walked in and seen her sitting with them she knew they would freak. They would wonder why she hadn't just gotten up and left, or called one of them. Honestly she wasn't sure why she hadn't left yet, that was a surprise to her as well. "Well I'm glad I'm not on your list anymore but yes, let's not forget how you tried to sacrifice me?"
Obviously she still felt really sour about that. Who wouldn't be upset about someone trying to sacrifice them for their own selfish plans? When he smiled at her, she found it kind of...endearing? No no no. That wasn't possible, she needed to stop thinking like that immediately. More than likely he was just playing some kind of game and she knew she couldn't fall for it. Plus, hello? This was Klaus, what the hell was she thinking? "Hopefully, I won't even know you in a hundred years" she said spitefully. Honestly she was just hoping that all of this would blow over soon. Now that Klaus had gotten what he'd wanted, she wanted all of this to just be over already. For Klaus to leave town and take his coffins of family with him, as well as Rebekah. Caroline couldn't stand Rebekah, she was such an arrogant biotch. The surprised look on his face confused her, had he never done anything good? Had he always been bad like this? From what she'd heard of him from the others, his mother had make him like this. She now found herself wondering what he'd been like as a human. "It is, I know. But how about you just stop killing people? Is that too subjective for you" These words came out with quite a bit of attitude. She now found herself wondering if she was pissing him off. Honestly, she hoped she wasn't because she was in no mood to die right now. Surely she would fight back but it wouldn't last very long. Not only was he now a hybrid, but a thousand year old one at that. She hadn't even been a vampire for a year yet, she would have no chance. Again she seen him pouring her another drink. Her bottle was now almost empty and soon, she'd either have to quit drinking, drink his bottle, or get another for herself. She'd cross that bridge when she came to it. The more the alcohol hit her, the less confrontational she felt towards him. Right now she wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not. As she took the glass from him he'd just poured, she leaned forward towards him as she had earlier. Their faces were closer now, as he'd been sitting forward the entire time. "Are you trying to get me drunk, Klaus?" she said with an alluring smile, her lips pursed in a lovely way. Her brown eyes seemed to sparkle as she looked at him closely. Leaning back once again, she lifted the glass and finished it off quickly. She definitely needed to slow down, that she did know. Even though he was smiling his words didn't agree with his smile. "I have but -- it's different." As she said this she put her glass back down onto the table. The smile that had been on her face only moments ago disappeared and she looked down to the table, avoiding eye contact. Honestly she had indeed used the compulsion quite a bit, though not as much as others. Still she hadn't used it for such cruel reasons as Klaus had. Even though they'd both used it, it had been for very different reasons. Usually if she compelled someone it was for their own good. Klaus however, did it for his own good. She refused to believe that they were one in the same. Hearing him return the sarcasm, she couldn't help but feel a small spark of anger. The way he talked about people's lives were as if everyone's life was worthless, other than his of course. She lifted her eyes at hearing this to look at him once again. This time, there was no anger or fight in her eyes. Her expression was completely serious, as if she was trying not to hate him. In all honesty, she was trying not to hate him. For what reason though she had no clue. "Can you try not to be an ass for just a second?" Her eyes pleaded with him for him to stop acting like this. He had asked her to try and get to know him, and for some unknown reason she wanted to. It couldn't be explained she just knew that for some reason, she was no longer hating his presence. While he talked she took another drink, even though she probably shouldn't have. As she filled up her glass she ended up drinking the rest of the bottle. Setting the empty bottle onto the table, she perked up hearing his words. He liked her? What the hell was that supposed to mean and how did he like her? She then stood up from the table, it seemed the alcohol was taking over her mind and body now. She was a bit dizzy but able to stand nonetheless. She strolled over to the other side of the table where he was sitting. As she came over to him, he turned to the side. She placed one of her hands on the chair behind him, nearly touching him, and the other on the table. With this position she leaned into him, their faces so close they were almost nose to nose. "You like me?" she said questioningly, hoping he would elaborate. She wasn't sure why she wanted to know what he meant. It shouldn't matter because after all he was Klaus. He was an evil sonofabitch and a coldblooded killer. Still though she wanted to know, even though she knew she didn't need to. Leaning just a bit closer, she accidentally brushed his nose briefly. Her brown eyes sparkling, she looked at him closely. "My bottle's empty -- what do you purpose we do now?" She asked, a bit more flirtatiously than she had originally planned. Drinking with him and getting drunk probably hadn't been the best idea. As she waited to hear what he would say, a soft, sweet smile came onto her delicate features. [/blockquote][/blockquote] Klaus 1195 I'll add lataaa. Again..sorry it's so long. My muse for this thread is out of control. Please do NOT feel like your posts have to match mine, I just can't control myself lol.

----------------------- ----------------------- Watching Caroline he noticed different expressions start to flicker across her features. He didn't comment or even act as though he noticed them but they were there none the less. This girl had a power of honesty and brutalness inside of her that he was sure she didn't even know about. It made her wildley attractive although he would never admit that out loud. He saw her glance at a clock, so what if they had been talking for some time. It was good for her. He chuckled slightly at the comment of him trying to sacrifice her during his full moon ritual. "All of it was ust a means to an end"
It was very truthful. When you have been waiting for one thousand years to break a curse it doesn't matter who the people are that get hurt in the process. As long as the end result is the same. Rolling his eyes slightly and shaking his head at her comment. Was she really going to deny that they were not alike when it was so painstakingly obvious they were? Both of them said what was on their minds without a second thought. Who cares if it hurt that person? Just as long as it was truthful. "We shall see about changing your mind then won't we? I'm sure I could show you things that you've always dreamed of" He explained. Which was the truth. All of the things he had seen were amazing. Looking over at her he could see her having an internal battle about something. Probably trying to find a way to get away from him. Yes well good luck with that. It wasn't as though she could out run him or anything. Plus he was interested in her company tonight. When she took him by surprise he knew that he had shocked her by being slightly off gaurd. That was a new one. Stop killing people? But then how would he account for the werewolves he needed to kill to get his Hybrid army. He looked at her slightly. "Not at all. But would you class a creature of the moon a human or a werewolf? Those I need to kill but they always get brought back to life. Does that count as a good thing or a bad thing?" He asked her carefully. He coul guess she was thinking or wondering who would do the killing. That or the fact that Tyler had been in the same predicament and right now something of Niklaus's bitch. He knew better than to mention Tyler by name but even still, he had given that boy a new life of a hybrid. The new smile that was presented when she finished her drink once again and leaned forward was definitely something he hadn't anticipated. He found himself lured into her. Leaning forward himself untill they were so close. Klaus could feel her breath on his face the smell of her natural aroma along with the alcohol. It was definitely an intoxicating scent. The question definitely made him laugh. "My love if I had wanted to get you drunk it would have been me who insisted on the alcohol to keep coming. I got the bottle to save the poor hostesses time" He said with a smile. None the less though he reached out and twirled one of her blonde curls before tucking it back behind her ear where it belonged. The way she was looking at him made him want to lean forward and press his lips against hers, but he didn't. Caroline's reaction really did make him smile. He had caught her off gaurd especially seeing as the drink was started to un-nerve her. So she had used it. Even just a little time before when she had compelled the watriess into thinking that she was twenty one and not her actual age. At this, he knew that what he had said was completely correct. "Like I said Caroline. Don't be a hypocrite. It's nice to know that I'm right once again" He said with an alluring smile. There was something about this girl now. They hadn't officially met properly before now but it seemed like he had been the one who had been missing out. If only he had met her before. Oh well they had enternity to get to know each other. Providing she lasted that long anyway. The expression in her features changed once again. This time the hate had left her altogether. More than anything she was just being serious with him and almost pleading as she asked him not to be an ass. He shrugged his shoulders and nodded his head. "Ok for the rest of the night I will be nothing but honest towards you? Does that fulfill your wishes my dear Caroline?" He was being perfectly serious when he spoke these words but there was still a small smile playing on his lips. He couldn't help it though. She brought it out in him like no one else. Of course she reminded him slightly of his sister just a less annoying and a lot more attractive version. She seemed like the kind of girl who would tell anyone what was what without hesitation, it was a trait to be admired. As Niklaus leaned back in his chair she stood up. He was about to stand and catch her before she fell knowing that she was completely plastered. He almost chuckled at the sight right there and then but managed to regain himself. Instead he watched as she crossed over to him. His drink was still in his hand and he downed it right away. She had finished her bottle and his was still one qauter full. No doubt she was feeling the effects dramatically. He didn't asnwer the question directed at him. He felt her touch though and that was the shock. He stared at her carefully. "Well i'm more than willing to share whats left of mine although I would say you wouldn't want much more." The flirtatcious tone had made him smile. As he placed his glass back on the table his arm brushed hers. [/blockquote] -----------------------

Bringing up how he’d tried to kill her wasn’t something she was a fan of, she’d just needed to make a point. In a way though she wished she would have died instead. She wished that Klaus would have killed her, and not Jenna Sommers; Elena’s aunt. Caroline had been afraid but she knew she wasn’t as scared as Jenna had been. They had watched as he killed her, saw the pure heartbreak in Elena’s eyes. It broke her heart and to this day she wished she could have just taken her place. Died instead of her, never to walk this earth again. Since becoming a vampire Caroline hadn’t really done much with her life other than being a bodyguard to Elena. Jenna though, was needed. Jeremy and Elena needed her, whereas they could go without Caroline. If she had the chance to redo that night, she wouldn’t have allowed Damon to rescue her if she’d known what it would mean. At hearing his comment she just refused to respond. Quickly she found herself reverting back quickly to hating him again. He was a cruel, sadistic, soulless bastard that she didn’t know why she was even sitting with.
So she shook her head in a symbol of disappointment at his response, her brown doe eyes sinking onto the floor. It shouldn’t surprise her when he said things like this. After all, he was still Klaus even if he hadn’t caused any trouble in a few days. He was still the one responsible for killing and turning her boyfriend Tyler into his servant, basically. He killed Jenna, took Stefan from them and had done numerous other things. ”Your more than welcome to go ahead and try”
she said sarcastically. ”Wait, no you’re not actually. But I know you will anyways” she said with a sigh, she’d only realized it sounded like an invitation after she’d already said it. Her words sounded a bit jumbled but then again, didn’t they always? She was known for talking quickly and smashing things all into one jumbled ass sentence. It was kind of just how she was and sometimes, some people had a hard time following it. However it seemed that for the most part he was understanding whatever she told him, so she would make no effort to try and talk slower. As the hybrid’s eyes widened she knew that he hadn’t been expecting her to say what she’d said. Or rather, ask the question that she had asked him. It may have been naïve to ask such a question but she didn’t care. By now she was pretty damned drunk and if she wanted answers, she was going to get them. How the hell did he think that this comment wouldn’t piss her off? After all, he had done the very same thing to Tyler. ”Are you kidding me Klaus? They’re humans, and it’s definitely a bad thing” she said rather loudly. A couple of people at the next table over turned their heads to look at them. She tried to pretend she didn’t notice, though she did lower her voice. ”Tyler had been a human” she said a bit sadly, though her eyes flashed with anger. How he could talk about people’s lives as if they were meaningless she had no clue, though it royally pissed her off. For now, she tried to hold back her anger however as she wasn’t looking to piss him off as well. Whether or not she was angry, about Tyler, that didn’t mean that she had a death wish. When she had gotten closer to him, leaning over his lap with their faces nearly pressed against one another, she had surprised even herself. She felt his muscles tense as if he was nervous. Honestly Caroline didn’t know if that was because he thought she might attack, or because he was so nervous with their faces this close and their lips almost touching. Either way she found it slightly amusing or it only made her smile grow wider. ”Maybe so but don’t deny that you aren’t enjoying it..” she said, her voice trailing off and getting quieter towards the end of her sentence. As he twirled a curl in her hair, she couldn’t help but feel a tingle of attraction run through her. Where the hell did that come from? she found herself thinking. It was Klaus so she knew it was wrong, but she couldn’t help but feel it anyways. Plus all the alcohol certainly wasn’t helping her case one bit. She had gotten so close to him that if she moved any closer, she’d basically be sitting in his freaking lap. Caroline was sure that he could feel her breath on his skin, smell the alcohol present in it. Hell someone five feet away could probably smell the alcohol on her breath she’d drunk so much. ”Yes..no killing, and no being an ass and I’ll be one happy vampire” she said smiling. It was sort of entertaining her, hearing him grant her wish. It was something that had shocked her, although he usually was doing something that shocked everyone; it was just who he was. He was big with the dramatics, though she sort of was as well. Especially when it came to party planning. As his arm brushed hers she felt another tingle travel through her body. Even though she knew she could ignore, she couldn’t. For some reason she didn’t want to ignore it, though she couldn’t gather the reason why. ”Hmm…alcohol probably isn’t such a good idea” she hummed, looking him in the eyes intensely. She definitely didn’t need any more although she wasn’t sure if it would last. Her face was still directly in front of his, her brown eyes glued to his. And then it happened. Something that probably shouldn’t have. Well, something that certainly shouldn’t have happened. She knew she would regret it the next morning but right now she didn’t care. She was highly intoxicating and for some reason unbeknownst to even herself, she found him very alluring. There was just something about him. She moved in, pressing her lips onto his softly. After only a moment she pulled back away from him, her eyes widening at the thought of what she had just done. Yeah, Caroline Forbes was a hot mess right now. [/blockquote][/blockquote] Klaus 1,056 I'll add lataaa. Oh lord, Caroline...

----------------------- ----------------------- Klaus couldn't help but admire the way that Caroline held herself. She seemed to be trying to defy what she should be doing and yet coulnd't tear herself away. At least she was being entertaining company for the night, that was something at least. He did notice her silence or he should sya her stony silence after he spoke about how he had tried to sacrifice her. She would understand if she had been waiting as long as he had, or even trying to get done what he had. Of course she was still young and didn't really unerstand what it was like to be alive for over one thousand years old. He decided not to hold it against her, she would understand one day that was for sure. For some reason he could see himsefl watching over Caroline.
The way Caroline made her statement it almost sounded like an invitation. Almost as though she didn't mean what she said. This made Niklaus smile more than anything. He even chuckled a little bit. "But pet, to do that we would have to leave this small little down. Anything you dreamed of and it could be yours"
He explained with a smile on his lips. It was actually an intriging idea, to leave this place with this petite blonde in front of him. He could imagine Rebekah's face at that. It didn't matter though, he had work to be done in this small town before he could leave it once again. It would be the only way. Looking over at her he saw how much the alcohol really had gotten to her but it was a good look on her. At least intoxicated she was the least bit friendly towards him. Good and evil was such a fine line. Yet she believed in werewolfs having the benefit of the doubt. If only it had been that easy. After being turned into a vampire the first time he had killed someone to sedate his thirst it had turned out to trigger his werewolf gene. The memory made him want to puke. He looked over at Caroline and shook his head. She was back to thinking about Tyler, of course she was. "So enlighten me sweet Caroline. How does a werewolf trigger their curse? How is it any different when I bring them back to life with a choice if they want to turn into the thing that killed someone?" His words made sense to most people and if Caroline asked Tyler how he was feeling he would say that he would never have felt better. Caroline's next statement with her that close made him laugh just a little. His smiled stayed present on his lips as she flirted with him. Did she really think that this was going to be the way to get information out of him. That so wasn't the case. Even still though she had become very alluring towards him and there was something he couldn't quite shake. A feeling that was stirring. He tried to ignore it but found it couldn't be ignored. "On the contrary. I never once said I wasn'y enjoying this side of you" His voice went deep and husky at the end and hadn't realised it until afterwards. He felt sad when she moved backwards into her chair though but he never let his emotions rest on his face. Instead he kept his smile and he looked at her finished another glass of his own drink. He chuckled at her response of being one hapy vampire if there were no deaths but he did not agree to it. There was no way he was giving her that one. Especially as he didn't care who he killed to get what he wanted. Well maybe a few people but no one knew about them. He could see her reaction when their skin touched, so at least it wasn't just him sensing these things, that was a plus at least. She agreed that the alcohol wasn't a good idea and he smiled at that. "But feel free to use mine if you please" He said. His voice had gone deep and husky once more. He was flirting back with her without even realising it. He just couldn't help himself. Using a finger to run along her arm he was taken by total surprise when she pressed her lips against his. He couldn't help but respond though. She was totaly surprised herself when she pulled back, he could tell by her expression. He couldn't help but smile though. She had been the one to insinuiate it. Inseatd her ran a hand up her arm to her neck and leaned forward himself. Kissing her like she had him only making it last a little bit longer. If she had wanted this he couldn't tell but she must have felt some form of attraction towards him otherwise she wouldn't have kissed him in the first place. Letting his one hand move onto the top of her leg whilst his arm still resting on his own and hept one hand in her hair. This was being gentle and he kept the kiss that was also. Like he had been all night, he chuckled at her. Of course it didn't bother her though, she didn't care what he thought. Plus she knew that he wasn't really laughing at her, rather he was laughing with her in a way, even if she wasn't always laughing at the time. "Anything I've dreamed of?"
she asked subjectively. She had her doubts that he could truly get her what ever she desired. Although he did have a certain way of making things happen, she still kind of doubted it. "I love Mystic Falls though. I'm going stay here as long as I can" she said with a shake of her head. Of course she knew that eventually she'd have to leave this town. Sooner or later people would begin to catch on that she wasn't aging and since she couldn't come out as a vampire publicly, this wasn't an option. She knew that she'd be forced to leave the town she'd grown up in sooner or later. It would be hard, as she'd lived here her entire life. The plan had been to go to college near here, start a career, get married in town square, and raise a family. Now she was unable to do any of that. She couldn't get married, who was going to marry a vampire? Not only that but she obviously couldn't have children and she'd have to leave the town. It was all very depressing. As she thought about it, a small frown made it's way onto her features. And then, Klaus was back to talking business. About morals and good and evil, as they'd been debating throughout the entire night. It seemed that Niklaus didn't seem to know the different between good and evil, but she knew better. He knew damn well the difference he just didn't care. "They have to kill someone." As she said it, she said through her teeth, seething a bit in anger. She shook her head furiously at him as he tried to make her feel stupid, as he did more often than he probably realized. "But you don't give them a choice, Klaus. It's either do as you say or die and that's not right. Neither is making them all your little wolfy slaves" she said angrily, obviously her thoughts were still on Tyler. She couldn't help it, she loved him. Although she'd been angry before, as he told her he was enjoying her company she couldn't help but feel a tad bit happier. She still hated his guts; there was no doubt about that. However it was eased a bit as he said this and she felt her eyes sparkle like they tended to do. "I'm glad your enjoying me -- I -- I mean, enjoying my company..." she said as she felt herself blush. She hadn't meant what she'd said to sound like that. She was highly intoxicated and flustered at hearing the huskiness in his voice. Caroline hated to admit it but it had been kind of sexy. God, why was she thinking like this! She did a mental head slap to try and get her thoughts away from thinking like this as it was unacceptable. Sexy or not he was still Klaus. Both of their eyes seemed drawn together. Even when he had first sat down she hadn't been able to look away from him. It wasn't compulsion, it was simple attraction. She hated to admit it to herself; that she really was attracted to him. Even after everything he'd done to all of them there was still just something about him. Something that honestly, she found very alluring. She knew it couldn't go any farther and yet she wanted it to anyways. Right about now she was drunk enough to just simply not care for the moment. However she heard him say something about drinking his alcohol, but ignored him. Feeling the tingle of his fingers running along her arm gave her chills, but in a good way. In a fantastic way at that. When he returned her kiss, she couldn't help but kiss back enthusiastically. She knew that deep down she really hated him but right now, it wasn't about that. Right now it was more or less about the alcohol and purely physical attraction. You could definitely hate someone and still be attracted to them, and this was the case. His hand was in her hair and her arms wrapped around his neck, pulling him up to face her on her level. She just hoped he wouldn't respond negatively to this. She was kissing him quite passionately, when she realized that people had been watching them. They were making a scene, right in the middle of the freaking Grill. She opened her eyes and broke their kiss, smirking at him. Grabbing his hand she pulled him out of the Grill and around to the back alley. He went to open his mouth to talk but she didn't let him. "Don't talk, Klaus" she said, pleading with him not to ruin this for her. The more he talked, the more she remembered that it was really him and she didn't want to do that right now. All she currently wanted was physical gratification. Pulling him over to her, she backed against the wall and pulled him to her by his shirt. As his body pressed against his, she had her lips follow suit and began kissing him wildly. Yeah, she was drunk. So what. [/blockquote][/blockquote] Klaus 947 I'll add lataaa. Yes, I realize that I godmodded. I apologize it would have just taken forever if I hadn't to get them outside. If you want me to change it love, please let me know. I didn't honestly think you'd mind since it wasn't like I was hurting him. But again I don't mind editing that part out if you'd like and re-writing it. If your cool with the post, next post I plan to have Matt come outside to take out the garbage and seeing them. I wanted to make it so she could compel him without there being a bajillion people around lol. Wanted a bit more Klaroline smexiness before the thread ended.
