- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -It had been an almost unbearable summer…and not for the reasons that most people thought or said. Sure the weather had been fairly nice in the small town of Mystic Falls. Hadn’t been so hot that you felt that walking outside made another shower necessary but it was still warm enough to go swimming or to try and work on trying to get a tan. There had been things to do as well…fun things…things that most 17-almost 18 year olds- would be jumping at the chance to do…such as the carnivals…the parties…the road trips to different cities that the senior class was taking even before senior year started.
However she hadn’t attended any of them. At least not on her own desire. She had attended the carnival only because Caroline dragged her with her and Tyler before things went south with them. She had gone to a party only because Jeremy had gone and she was the one who went to pick him up when his car got blocked in and he couldn’t ask the other cars to move because the other two drivers were drunk. She hadn’t gone on any of the senior road trips though, refusing to leave the small town that had never really seemed smaller.
She sighed as she turned on the radio, wanting to listen to anything that would take her mind off the troubles that constantly plagued her. Unfortunately her wishes weren’t answer as Nelly’s ‘Just a Dream’ came on. The lyrics seemed to seep in her brain even as she tried to focus only on the beat as she continued to straight up her room. She prayed her prayers would be answered soon but she didn’t as much faith as she would have at one time. She would never stop fighting for him but she was starting to lose hope…something that scared her to death.
She heard Jeremy walk through the door and sighed, knowing her alone time for the day was over. Alaric, Damon, Jeremy, Caroline, and everyone else in between were constantly with her, trying to make sure that A.) No one came here when she was alone and tried to hurt her…they wouldn’t say it but they were worried that Stefan would hurt her or B.) That she didn’t try to go after Stefan…something that was a lot more likely. She turned her radio off, the last lyrics playing before it shut off Hey, she was easy to love. But wait, I guess that love wasn't enough made her want to fall to the floor and weep but she held it together…she had to keep it together…she couldn’t afford to break down.
The brunette 18 year old walked down the stairs, coming to stop in the living room. “Hey Jer.” She told him, pulling a smile out that was as real as she could make it seem…though she had a feeling he most likely saw right through it.

---------------------- ---------------------- Jeremy was on his way home from the grill, he goes there a lot after school to kill time. Mostly to draw or to do home work, and it a great way to pass the time. He was walking home listing to Muse on his Ipod, he knew that he had needed to get home and check on Elena soon. He has been trying not too leave her alone lately. She wont say it but Jeremy knew that deep down she wasn’t doing that well without Stefan, she was worried about him all the time and hadn’t stopped looking for Stefan.
Jeremy just wishes that she would just move on and try to live her life and be happy with out him, but he knows she wont do that, she keep on and keep on looking till she finds him. And Because Jeremy will do anything for his big sis he wont stop helping her find him, he will help her with anything she needs. Doesn’t really matter it hard to get away from all the craziness in mystic falls anyway no matter what you do really, why try and keep her away from someone that just tried to help keep her safe. Elena is everything to Jer he will do anything to keep his sister happy, he just wishes he could really give her what she wanted. If only they could find Stefan.
Jeremy had made it to the house and took out his keys to unlocked the door, he walked in the door and set down his heavy book bag. The house seemed quite it really was heard to tell if anyone was home, he looked around the living room to see if he could find Elena anywhere. But so far no Elena. “Elena I’m home! Are you here?” Jeremy called up towards the stairs. “You up there?” He waited for a response.

Caroline was bored, very bored. The summer had seemed to go by so slow. Most of her days had been spent either helping Elena and Damon locate Stefan, spending time with Elena, or missing Tyler. The latter of the list had been the one to give her the most trouble. It killed her inside to know that no matter how much he loved her, he couldn't help but continue to be loyal to that asshole Klaus. Klaus hadn't done one single good thing since coming to Mystic Falls. He looked out for himself and himself only. Yet Tyler couldn't help but blindly follow and support him and it hurt her heart to know this. She had fallen hard for him and being without him just frankly sucked.
Today had been completely uneventful thus far. She hadn't seen anyone in a few days, she'd been keeping to herself. Caroline knew that she needed to stay by Elena's side to protect her but she also knew that it bugged Elena. She may need protecting but she also needed space, so Car had tried to give her that. It had only been a couple days since she'd last seen her but still, she was worrying a bit when Elena hadn't texted or called. Honestly she just figured she had been enjoying her time to herself. Still, she wanted to at least stop by if only for a little bit.
The vampire had spent the earlier part of her day preparing for the new cheerleading season. As the captain, she was the one who planned their routines. So she'd put on some music and tried to come up with something. It had proved more difficult than she'd thought as her mind kept drifting off to other places. She had been able to put together an opening routine, one that she'd probably use for try out's. It didn't need to be anything special just enough to be able to see the girls' abilities when they came to try out.
After she was done was this, she'd gone into the woods for a run. It was the only place she could really just let go and run using her vampire abilities. Anywhere else she'd be seen by others and that wasn't a possibility. Once she was done running she returned home and jumped into the shower. Her mother still hadn't come home for the night so she left a note on the table stating that she was going to Elena's. Caroline and her mother had been growing a lot closer lately, now that she knew the truth about Caroline. It was nice to actually be able to talk to her for once without them screaming in each other's faces.
Out of common courtesy, she texted Elena and let her know that she was stopping by. She did her hair and got dressed before starting up her SUV. The drive over to the Gilbert house didn't take long and before she knew it, she was parking her car along the curb outside. Getting out of the car she locked the door and walked up to the front of the house. Knocking on the door gently, she waited for someone to let her inside. Within the house she could hear Elena and Jeremy talking. The door wasn't that thick and they didn't seem to be far away. Plus, she was a vampire after all.

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She had been partying with Lee when she got the call. She wasn’t exactly sure what had happened but she knew it was important. Stefan, her oldest and truest friend didn’t even know she was alive…but a few months after Damon ‘killed her’ she had been brought back by the Power’s that Be in order to fight against a dark evil that would rise eventually. They wouldn’t give her particulars…only that she would know it when she saw it. She tried to get it out of them but they swore to her that she would understand. In exchange for their help they provided her with something that she had wanted since the day she met Stefan, a daylight ring to protect her from the run’s harmful rays.
She had contacted Elena a few months after she had gotten back by way of a letter, simply telling her that if she ever needed help or to talk to give her a call. She had explained in the letter that she couldn’t let anyone know that she was alive because it wasn’t safe but as soon as he could she would contact Stefan. Up until today Elena hadn’t called her so she had assumed that everything was alright. She prayed that Stefan and Elena were together and happy but she couldn’t be sure. The one time they had met she had tried to explain to the younger girl that when it was real that she couldn’t walk away and that she would eventually get used to the vampire stuff…she just hoped that Elena was as much like Lee as she thought she was.
However, when she had gotten the phone call earlier from the brunette girl she immediately knew something was wrong. The tone of her voice on her voicemail signaled it immediately, and the tears that sounded in her tone was something that Lexi knew well…they were the tears of real pain, heart break, emotional…they were real…and they scared the hell out of her. The voicemail was simple. Hey Lexi. Uh...you told me to call you if there was ever an emergency...well there is. I need you to get to Mystic Falls as soon as possible. I need your help. Call me back.
Lexi didn’t even bother calling her back, she simply kissed Lee goodbye, telling him that she was heading to help a friend. She didn’t bother saying where she was going, knowing that he wouldn’t exactly be happy with her going back to the place that she was murdered. She simply got in her car and headed towards Virginia. She hoped that nothing was seriously wrong but she had a feeling that there was something bigger going on than she could possibly think.
It took her only a few hours to get there and she quickly wove through the streets until she hit Maple Street. She pulled into the driveway and saw another girl walking towards it. “Hey.” She stated, walking towards her and then up to the porch where she knocked on the door, hoping it would be Elena who answered.

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -The brunette smiled at her little…younger…brother a bit. It was weird not calling him her little brother…because he wasn’t…not anymore. Not only had Jeremy grown a ridiculous amount over the past year and a half to the point where he was several inches taller than her now…he had also gone through more than anyone should have. She to this day wished that she could take away everything bad that had happened to him. She wished that their parents were alive and could protect him…and her…though she knew that trying to protect her would have gotten them killed just as much as that car accident did.
“How was work?” She asked him, heading towards the kitchen. Once there she quickly opened the refrigerator and grabbed two bottles of water, handing one to Jeremy before sitting down at the kitchen table. It was weird how the house had technically gone through three different owners in less than a year and yet it hadn’t changed since their childhood. All of the furniture, the appliances…they were all the same as when their parents were alive. It felt strange to her that to this day they still hadn’t cleaned out their parents room…though she knew that they should. Same with Jenna’s room…though that particular loss was still to fresh for her to even consider it. She knew that in all actuality she should take her parents room while Jeremy took Jenna’s. They were the technical owners of the house now meaning that they should have the two largest rooms.
With that being known though, she couldn’t imagine sleeping in her parent’s room…with her things in them. She had a feeling Jeremy probably felt the same way. The brunette teen thought she heard something but wasn’t sure until she heard a knock on the door. She shrugged at Jeremy’s look and headed towards the door, opening it to find two blonde’s on her porch.
“Lexi?!” She asked, literally throwing herself into the other girls’ arms before wincing and taking a step back. “Sorry.” She told her before turning to Caroline. “Hey Care.” She stated, leaning forward and hugging the other blonde vampire who was one of her two best friends. “Come on in, both of you.” She told them, though the invite was more geared towards Lexi as she had never been inside the house. “I’m glad you came.” She told the blonde before grabbing Caroline and Lexi’s arms and dragging them towards the kitchen.
She realized quickly that none of those in the room had actually ever met each other. “Uh…Jeremy…Caroline this is Lexi…” She told them before choking out the next part. “Stefan’s best friend.” She informed before hurrying along. “Lexi, this is my best friend Caroline and my younger brother Jeremy.” She told the blonde…hoping the three would get along as well as she thought they would.

---------------------- ---------------------- Jeremy watched as his sis gave him a big smile, he know how much his sis cared for him as he did the same for her. She was always worried about him and how he was doing, but even though he man him man he understood why she did it. It was because of how much she loved him and needed him, which was good because so did he. Jeremy has lost everything in his life and Elena is all he really has anymore which he is very thankful for, he really doesn’t even know what he would do if he lost his sister. Its really something he doesn’t even want to think about, and in this crazy town with everyone dying he worries everyday.
He followed Elena into the kitchen, he sat down at the table while Elena got something to drink in the fridge. He took one of the bottle that she handed him from her hand. “ Thanks I was kind of thirsty, anyway wasn’t working at the grill today I was off. I was just trying to get some of this home work done that I have, I don’t know why but all the teachers felt that they had to give us a lot of homework today. I don’t know maybe its too keep all the kids inside living in mystic falls so they cant chill outside, yeah like they could do that they wish.” Jeremy said with a smile.
Then as Jer and his sis were sitting there they both heard a noise at the door, Jeremy gave Elena a look letting her no to be careful. He wasn’t to worried about her a vamp had to be asked in before they came in, he knew she would be ok. But it didn’t mean that he wasn’t keeping his guard up. Jeremy sat there drinking his water and waited for her to came back. He didn’t know what was up but he could hear laughing and commotion coming from the front door. He got to see what was up.
Not long after that Elena had came back into the house near the kitchen with Caroline and some really pretty girl that Jeremy had never seen before. After Elena had introduced Jeremy and Caroline to her, he stuck out his hand to shake hers. “Hi its nice too meet you Lexi.”. Shortly after he looked over at Elena and asked. “Let me guess if she knows Stefan then 20 bucks says she is a vampire, I’m I right?”

Tonight wasn't very chilly like it usually tended to be in mystic falls. Even right now, most people usually wore jackets over their shoulders. However tonight was still pretty warm so all she was wearing was her shirt. The wind was barely even noticeable yet when she did feel it, it felt pretty good. The sounds of the leaves underneath her feet swishing around was soothing. As she waited on the porch, she heard a car pull up behind her. Vampire hearing was pretty damn good. Not only could she hear Elena and Jeremy inside, but she'd heard the car before the girl had even been pulling up by the house.
Immediately she kind of spun around but she did it softly, not abruptly and awkward. She didn't want to draw too much attention to herself, other than the fact that she was of course standing at the door of the house the girl had driven too. When the girl stepped out of the car and walked up to the house, Caroline smiled, "hi" she said in a friendly voice. After what seemed kind of like a moment of awkward silence, Elena finally answered the door. As soon as she seen the other girl she jumped on her hugging her tightly. Honestly, it kind of hurt Caroline's feelings a bit but more so, she wanted to know who this girl was.
Caroline was supposed to be helping to protect Elena, this was one of the reasons she'd come in the first place. That and well, Elena was her best friend obviously. But she had made a promise to Damon (who she hadn't seen in quite some time) that she would watch over her. So if that meant grilling this girl with small talk questions to find out about her, she would have to do that. Even though they seemed to be friendly Caroline stayed tense while she watched the other blonde.
After their hug was over Elena moved on to Caroline next. Greeting her with a smile and a hug, though not quite as enthusiastically as the other girl. "Hey. I hope you don't mind me dropping by. I texted you but you didn't answer so I just stopped over." She explained to her friend, hoping that would suffice as the excuse of her unplanned arrival.
When Elena invited them both in, Caroline could have sworn she was specifically inviting them in. Now Caroline already had an invite and had for a while. Was it possible that this Lexi girl was a vampire as well? She supposed that anything was possible in a town like Mystic Falls. Now she was just stuck wondering if Elena knew about it or not, even she was even right that is. Sometimes her suspicions got the best of her and her mind tended to run a tad bit wild so she had to be sure before she said anything. The girl didn't really look like a vampire but then again, neither did she. Actually most vampires didn't really look like vampires now that she thought about it.
As they made their way into the kitchen Caroline separated herself from Elena and took a seat next to Jeremy at the kitchen table. Next, Elena introduced the girl to both her and Jeremy and Caroline smiled and waved when Elena introduced them in return. When Jeremy announced his suspicions aloud, her eyes flew to Lexi to hear her response. "I'll take that bet too" she said with a smile. Turning to Jeremy, she looked at him for a moment just thinking. All of her life she'd seen him as Elena's little brother. Now when she looked at him, she saw a man. A handsome man at that.

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -Lexi was a fairly compassionate person, especially to humans. However she wasn’t used to them simply throwing themselves at her since most humans had a slight fear of the unknown. Their eyes told them that she was just a beautiful girl with blonde hair and a killed body…however their instincts told them that there was something else about her and that they needed to keep their distant. Most didn't listen to their instincts as it seemed impossible but that didn't mean that they weren't careful around her. Elena however, didn't seem to have that problem (obviously since she was hopefully with Stefan).
When Elena threw herself into Lexi’s arms, Lexi was once again glad to have good reflexes as she caught the brunette girl. Obviously she was embarrassed at her actions because she quickly pulled away and hugged the other blonde standing next to her before tugging both of them inside (after making sure to invite her in, something that she was grateful for since it took away the awkwardness of having to ask to be invited in, something she really hated doing.) Either Elena had spent a lot of time with Stefan (and unfortunately she had a feeling Damon), or she was just that good…she had a feeling it was the first one rather than the latter.
Lexi took in her surroundings as she walked through the wide hallway towards their destination. There was a living room on one side with several pictures in it, pictures that she would have to examine later out of sheer curiosity. On the other side was a staircase that obviously led upstairs to where she was guessing the bedrooms were. It was a nice house and she guessed from just the bit that she had known Elena for that this was the house that her family had grown up in.
Once reaching their destination (the kitchen) she was introduced to the blonde girl next to her (Caroline, one of Elena’s oldest friends) and Jeremy (Elena’s younger brother). Lexi was surprised when Jeremy held out his hand for her to shake but quickly shook it anyway, making sure to not really put any pressure behind the shake. She was around humans a lot so she knew how to control her strength so it came second nature to her, but still…this was Elena’s brother and she didn’t want to do anything to piss anyone off.
Lexi laughed out loud when Jeremy stated that he was guessing she was a vampire and then Caroline stating that she would take that bet. She nodded her blonde head before sitting at a chair that looked unoccupied. She figured since Jeremy was sitting in one and there was a bottle of water in front of another, that this one was a safe bet. “Well then if you would have bet money you would have won some.” She told them with a large smile. “Because yes, I am a vampire. I am however a couple centuries older than Mr. Salvatore.” She stated with a teasing glint in her eyes. “I am over 350 so if he ever gives you trouble let me know and I’ll straighten him out.” She stated with a laugh, not understanding at all how serious the trouble he was giving them was.
“Alright, so not to get straight to business, but Elena your voicemail sounded urgent…so what’s going on?” She asked her, hoping she didn’t sound too businesslike but wanting to know all the same. She was worried and she wanted to help as much as possible.

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -Elena grinned when Jeremy stated that he would bet Lexi was a vampire and then giggled a bit when Caroline agreed with him. It was funny that Caroline’s instincts hadn’t gotten honed yet as if it were Damon or...Stefan in the room they would have both known immediately that Lexi was a vampire. However with Caroline being newer and not really having the opportunity to do more other than basically fight for everyone’s lives, she hadn’t had a chance to fine tune the little things. It was weird but also the truth. She and…Stefan had spoken about that when Caroline was first turned, about how he needed to work with Caroline…unfortunately things had happened so fast that he hadn’t had the opportunity and Damon definitely didn’t have the patience.
She heard Lexi’s comment about if they would have bet money they would have won. “Well thankfully they didn’t bet money then.” She stated with a giggle. “Since it’s technically illegal for Jeremy to gamble since he’s too young.” She stated, winking at her younger brother. She knew it was a bit of a sore spot for him to be surrounded by a bunch of people that were older than him.
She stared at Lexi when she stated that she was older than the Salvatore’s and that if he ever gave them any trouble she would put him in his place. That was exactly why she needed her here though she had no idea of that fact yet. She knew that even though Lexi was strong, that it had nothing to do with her age or her strength however that made her needed here in Mystic Falls. It was her past with Stefan and her character that made her vital to helping Stefan. She had heard it straight from Stefan’s mouth how much Lexi helped him. She remembered at the lake house when he was telling her the story of his past and how Lexi wouldn’t allow him to give him so he wasn’t going to let her give up.
Before she could comment Lexi started speaking again, this time wanting to know why she was here. “We…I need your help.” She stated, trying to compose herself. She hated talking about what the love of her existence had become but she knew she had to be strong. She couldn’t afford to break down now…and she needed Lexi’s help to get her goal accomplished.
“Stefan needs your help…though he’ll never admit it.” She stated. “He’s…back on human blood…back to…ripping I guess would be the way to say it. He’s lost it…and none of us can reach him.” She told him, hoping Lexi would understand though knowing she would eventually have to tell the whole story.

---------------------- ---------------------- Jeremy could tell that Caroline agreed with him about the Vampire thing, it just seemed obvious. Jeremy looked at the facts, she was friend of Stefan’s, Jeremy had never met her before, but most of all Elena really knows how to pick her friends. (Meaning most of her friends were not human) Jeremy didn’t care that she was a vampire though she did seem cool, and was good to Elena. Jeremy knew that Elena needed friends right more then ever now too keep her mind on what was at hand with Stefan. So he was happy to see her among friends.
The girl finally admitted to being a vampire to him, Jeremy knew he was right for once anyway. “I knew it I guess well all should have bet money huh, oh well its just cool to be right at lest.” Jeremy said with a laugh. “Oh and Elena you don’t need to remind me that I’m too young, i now that.” Jeremy was very surprised to hear that she was older then Stefan, 350 years older even lucky girl she didn’t even look it. Jeremy wondered though what brought her here, was she here to help Elena or Stefan? All thought he guessed it did really matter at this point as long as they find him.
It had turned out that Elena had called her and that’s why she was there, Jeremy knew that it was probably was to help Stefan. He just hope that they find him for Elena and soon, he didn’t know how much longer she could take with out him. He knew that his sister really did love him, he just wishes there was something he could do for her pain. “So Elena What’s going on why did you call her? “Jeremy asked his sister.
He then listen as Elena was telling her them deal with Stefan, he wondered if this girl was his friend of his how she was going to react to it all. He hope mad someone needs to put Stefan in his place for what he had done to Elena, Jeremy really doesn’t want it to come to him having to do something. Other wise no one was going to be happy, if there is one thing he wont put up with its someone hurting his sister.

Caroline grinned at Jeremy as they awaited their response, wondering if both of their suspicions had been correct. Sometimes she wondered why she'd never really talked to Jeremy much. Maybe in the past it would have been a bit weird but now that he was older, she felt like they might be able to be friends. Although there was one hitch in this idea; Tyler. She had heard around the mill that they'd been hanging out a lot lately. Caroline had no problem with other people seeing Tyler, she just didn't want to. But at the same time if she was friends with Jeremy he would probably pop up somewhere. Hello awkwardness she thought to herself.
It had been quite a decent amount of time since anyone had seen Klaus. For a while, she was wondering if he'd given up and left town but she knew it wasn't true. Simply because of the fact that he wouldn't leave Elena, knowing how important she was to him. Right now they were all kind of like sitting ducks, just waiting for him to make his next move. None of them ever knew where he would show up, or who else he would send to do his dirty work. Whether it be Tyler or not, she hoped that they wouldn't have anymore trouble from him.
Though she knew that they would.
When Lexi explained whom she was, it kind of made sense that Elena would have called her. After all the girl had known Stefan for what was probably decades. If Elena and Damon couldn't get through to Stefan, maybe this girl could. Plus she probably seen Stefan in the ripper mode before which would help immensely. "Three hundred and fifty? Yeesh. You age well"
Caroline said with a small laugh. Obviously she knew that vampires didn't age at all, she was just trying to lighten up the mood even if only for a moment. A pang went through her heart as Lexi stated to come to her if they ever had trouble with Stefan. She didn't know of his situation yet and she knew it would be hard for Elena to tell her.
Elena and Lexi seemed to know something between them that Jeremy and herself weren't aware of. Surely there was a specific reason that she'd called Lexi, other than the obvious reasons. Instead of piping in and asking she simply sat back and listened for a moment. Right now wasn't the time to jump into the conversation and start asking a bunch of questions, they needed to hash a couple of things out first. While she sat there she decided that she might as well get something to drink. Even if just a glass of water, she was kind of thirsty as she hadn't drank anything since earlier that day. She stood up while still listening and walked over to Elena and Jeremy's fridge.
Caroline had been friends with Elena for so long that she didn't really feel like she needed to ask her permission to raid her fridge. She had spend the night and hung out at this house so much over the years that it felt like her second home in a way. Opening the door she poked around and looked until she spotted a couple of blood packs in the back. Damon had probably hidden them in there as he'd been spending so much time at the Gilbert house as of lately. She grabbed two packets out and then walked over to the cabinet, grabbing two glasses. She filled both glasses and walked back over to the table, handing one of them to Lexi. Instead of the classic handshake, she'd offered her friendship through dinner.
Her ears perked up as Elena told Lexi that Stefan had gone off the deep end. If Lexi had really been such good friends with him, she was probably about to freak out. "Listen..I -- I don't know you, but, I really hope that you'll help us. Help him. He's gotten pretty bad" Caroline explained sadly. A certain sparkle that was always in her eyes dilapidated as she put her two cents in. Right now they could really use all of the help they could get, she just hoped this girl wouldn't take the news too badly. - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -Lexi laughed a bit when Elena teased her younger brother. Even as a human Lexi had been an only child so the sibling dynamic was always something that interested her…being if it were in humans or in vampires. She had never really studied it but she had always heard that siblings were ridiculously close. The only siblings she had really ever seen interact with one another were Stefan and Damon and well…unfortunately those two had more real fights than real sibling wars so she had a feeling their dynamic was one of an entirely different nature than normal sibling rivalry.
Lexi smiled when Caroline handed her a glass of blood. “Let me guess, Stefan tends to spend a lot of time here meaning that so does Damon?” She asked, laughing a bit. “I love stealing things from Damon…he makes life hell most of the time so getting back at him with little things like this makes it completely worthwhile.” She told them. “Seriously, one time I took his daylight ring and hid it from him for a week. I thought he was going to have a damn cow.” She laughed, but it was short lived.
Her laugh was cut short when she heard Elena’s statement about Stefan being back on human blood…oh god…it was worse than that…he was back to ripping. “WHAT?!” She yelled out, standing up so quickly that the chair fell over in back of her. “How did that?! Why did that?! What the hell happened?!” She asked, her mind going a million miles a second. She thought back to the last time Stefan had gone off the deep end. It hadn’t been pretty and it took her 13 years to get him back on his animal blood diet. Damnit, and she had thought that last time had been the last time.
Lexi took a deep breath and tried to focus herself. Her eyes widened when Caroline spoke up saying that he had gotten really bad. Okay, so his friends were scared of him…that wasn’t a good sign. But wait, no one could reach him? If anyone could reach him it should have been Elena…so why…She took another deep breath before sitting down.
“Alright, tell me what’s happened. Don’t leave anything out.” She told them, and prayed they would heed her advice. She needed to know everything to figure out exactly how to get her damn best friend out of the mess he had gotten himself into.

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -Elena laughed a bit at her younger brother’s pout when he told her that she didn’t need to remind him that he was younger…that he already knew that. She knew it was always a sore point with him. She didn’t even want to imagine what he would be like when they all graduated at the end of the year and he was stuck at the high school for another two years. It wasn’t something she even wanted to think about though, graduating. Who knew if A.) They would all live until graduation and B.) What they would do if they did happen to live until it happened. Elena wasn’t dumb, she knew that she couldn’t leave Mystic Falls. At least here people had a shot as everyone wasn’t as ignorant as some people. But to go to another town and infect them with the secrets that had plagued her whole life and she hadn’t even been aware of it…she knew that it couldn’t happen.
She heard her brother’s question and smiled. “Lexi is a good friend of Stefan’s. She’s known him almost his entire life…well…his entire vampire life…I needed her help.” She told him before she told Lexi exactly why she needed her here. She heard Caroline reiterate her plea for help and wasn’t at all surprised when Lexi went slightly ballistic. She could hear the questions in her voice and waited until she had calmed down before answering them.
“It’s basically a really long story that starts only a few months after you were killed. However the very long story extremely summarized? I was used in a ritual to allow an original vampire to become an original vampire/werewolf…a true hybrid. Well a few days later I found out that Damon had been bitten by a werewolf. Stefan went and asked a friend of mine for help in finding a cure for a werewolf bite since it’s supposed to be fatal and the only help she could give him was a name…Klaus…that’s the original hybrid.” She explained, knowing it probably didn’t make any sense but knowing she needed to just give Lexi the basics before she explained anything else.
“Stefan went to see Klaus, not understanding what the cure was but knew that he had to try and save his brother. Klaus told him that the only cure was his blood…hybrid blood…and the only way that he was going to give it to him was if Stefan stayed with him and helped him. In doing that, he forced Stefan to get back on human blood. I don’t know all the details because I wasn’t there and Stefan didn’t tell me what was going on. When he went to go to Klaus he told me to go take care of Damon just in case. So the next thing I know Katherine, yes she’s around, showed up with a bottle of Klaus’ blood for Damon and a message stating that Stefan sacrificed everything, including me, to save his brother.” She explained, not wanting to continue as that had really been the easy part.
“For three months, we searched for him. I was tracking Klaus…not realizing that Damon was tracking Stefan. He finally came clean and told me that he had been tracking Stefan’s victims. My eighteenth birthday was the first time that Damon or I had seen Stefan, though it was Damon who saw him this time when he killed Damon’s girlfriend. A few weeks later (after Damon had dealt with his feelings again) we tracked him and Klaus to Chicago. Stefan and I had it out and he pretty much told me he was done and he didn’t want me looking for him anymore and told me to get home. See Klaus thought I was dead and he needed to continue to think that or else he’d come back here. I was supposed to die in the ritual and apparently his hybrids (yes, he was trying to make his own race of hybrids) were dying because I was still alive but he didn’t know that.” She stated, taking a huge breath before continuing.
“I’m not sure what happened next but all of a sudden we are planning prank night and Klaus shows up, announcing that he knew that Stefan had been keeping something from him. He then fed one of our friends, whose a werewolf by the way, his blood and then snapped his neck, making Bonnie try and figure out a way to save his hybrids. Stefan showed up and tried to pledge his loyalty to Klaus. Klaus tried to make Stefan drink from me but Stefan fought it and told me to run. Unfortunately Klaus caught me before Stefan could and then compelled Stefan to turn off his humanity.” She told her, her eyes welling up.
“Stefan’s under Klaus’ compulsion to ‘keep me safe’ because he found out that my blood is what makes his hybrids stay alive. So he took my blood and now has the…what did Stefan call me? Oh yeah, the human blood bag being protected by Stefan. So Stefan won’t hurt me…at least not in the physical sense…but he’s lost it. I don’t even know who the hell he is anymore. He’s living back at the boarding house and taking orders from Klaus. It’s bad Lexi…and I’ve read his journals so I know how bad it’s been before…but it’s nothing like what I ever expected from him. Please Lexi…I need your help. We have to find a way to get him back.” She told her, tears finally falling down her face.

---------------------- ---------------------- Jeremy knew that everyone wanted to get Stefan back somehow and some way, he just didn’t know how they were going to do it yet. Stefan wasn’t making it very easy, it was very clear to all of them he didn’t want to be found. But Jeremy knew his sister and how she felt about him and she wasn’t going to stop looking for him, no matter what the cost or what she has to give up. Sadly Elena love him more then anything in the whole world, well not more then Jer at lest he hopes not.
Jeremy could tell that Lexi wasn’t happy to hear that he was back on human blood, she got a lot more upset about it then he expected her too. Jeremy then knew by the way she was acting it was not good at all that he was back on human blood, like this situation could get any worse. All though he was sure in a few minutes of them talking with there luck it could. “So Lexi how did you even get Stefan off of it the first time then, And is there going to be anything we can do for him now?” Asked Jeremy. Threaten years was long time Jeremy wondered how they were even going to help him now, that is if they even could help him. He really hoped for his sisters sake they could, there had to be something they could do for him.
Jeremy listen as Elena let Lexi know the story on what was going on, it really had been a long hard ordeal for them all. It had not been easy and Jeremy had done everything he could to help, as well as getting kidnapped by Damon in the process Which for Jeremy wasn’t that fun. All though anything he has to do with Damon never is really.
Then as Jeremy was sitting there listing to Elena talk he heard something strange from behind him. Jeremy let go as it was nothing and continued to listen to Elena talk to Lexi. Jeremy then noticed something from behind Elena, it was Anna well ghost Anna. Jeremy had been seeing a lot of her lately, even though he tries not to see her he still cant help it. “Elena has this story down to a T don’t she Jer.” Anna said to Jeremy. Jeremy didn’t know what to do or say right now, the last think he needed was his sister thinking he was nuts. Elena was going threw enough all ready as is, she didn’t need a psycho brother to add to it. Jeremy gave Anna a glare trying to get her to be quiet, she was making it very distracting for Jeremy.

Everything had gotten so bad lately that Caroline honestly didn’t know how they would all come back from it. Stefan and Tyler were both under Klaus’ compulsion at the moment and neither of them could be trusted. They were two of the most important people in her life, Tyler more so than Stefan, but still. Stefan had been becoming one of her best friends and now that he was gone, she wanted desperately to help him. Tyler had been her best friend and her boyfriend all at once. Waking up and not being able to text him or even see him killed her. They had been so close and now they were forced to be apart because of Klaus. Since Klaus had first made an appearance in Mystic Falls, everything had gone to hell. She wanted to go after him but she knew better, she was smarter than that.
Caroline laughed when Lexi stated that she loved giving Damon trouble. Hell, who didn’t enjoy giving Damon a little trouble? It was fun to see him all riled up. Well, that is, when he wasn’t killing people and such. But as far as she knew, he hadn’t killed anyone in awhile. In fact he’d actually grown quite attached to his human girlfriend Andy, until Stefan killed her that is. ”Yes, I think Damon is here more than he’s at home” she told Lexi with a small laugh.
As soon as Elena started spilling her guts about Stefan, Caroline looked back to Lexi. She shifted in her seat next to Jeremy and watched as the old vampire slowly began to unravel at the seams. She shouted in response and stood up so quickly that her chair flew back. Honestly Caroline didn’t know anything about this woman. From what she could see, she was closer to Stefan than Caroline had first suspected. It seemed that she had known him in the past when he was the ripper and that scared her. Well not scared her, but it freaked her out to say the least. Hell. Seeing Stefan like this scared everyone, no one knew what to expect from him.
While she explained, Caroline and Jeremy only listened to Elena. She was telling Lexi of all of the things that had happened since she’d left Mystic Falls. Just hearing all of it being re-hashed out and explained made the young vampire shudder. It pained her to hear about all that they had gone through, especially in such a short amount of time. After all they’d only lost Stefan a couple of months ago. So many people had been hurt and so many lives had been lost since then. Who knew how many people Stefan and Klaus had killed on their ventures away from Mystic Falls. They had been gone for months and had left quite the trail behind. No one truly knew the real number of people that had been killed but it was surely quite high.
When she was finished, Jeremy piped up and asked the same question that Caroline had been wondering. If Lexi had been able to help Stefan before, how did she do it? Was there a point to where he was past helping, was there some sort of limit? If there was, he had surely passed it by now. ”He’s not…t – too far gone, is he?”
she asked softly. After she said it, she realized that it was kind of a stupid question. After all she hadn’t even seen Stefan since he’d gone off his rocker. ”Maybe you just need to see him? I can find him, if you want” she then added. If there was any way she could help, she was going to. Stefan was her friend and he’d helped her when she’d become a vampire. Even though the real Stefan would disagree, she felt like she owed him. [/blockquote][/blockquote] Lexi, Elena, Jeremy 642 I'll add lataaa. Sorry this took so long!
