----------------------- ----------------------- Caroline had been weighing it on her mind all week whether or not to make this trip. She had found out some pretty important and yet bad news. It wasn't bad in the sense of what had happened but it was bad because it meant someone whom she had cared about for quite some time had lied to her. She thought back to their last real conversation minus a few text messages here and there. He had broken up with her and walked away from her when she had been in tears on that bridge. The falls had taken on a bit of a bad hue for her since then but she knew that it had been for the best. At least that was what she had thought when they had broken up. Either he had cheated on her now that she thought about it or he had simply gone back to being the old Tyler. The thought alone was a strange one. She would had to see him go back to being a complete douche and she wanted to know why he had lied.
Picking up her small bag she slung it over her shoulder. It was within walking distance to Tyler's house or mansion as people call it. Things were going to be awkward enough as it was and yet here she was, she had to call him out on it. Not to mention she would probably need someone to turn to afterwards, maybe a text message to Stefan would make her feel better. It was still morning and as she stepped outside she allowed herself a moment or two to soak in the suns rays so she knew she was making the right choice. The jacket she had picked out got thrown across her lawn and to the front door, she wouldn't need to today, it was warm enough to say the least. She made her way over to the Lockwood mansion and thought about what she was going to say. However she knew better than anyone that once her emotions took over she would be like a fireball and just end up confronting him straight out.
Walking up the long winding drive she hadn't realised she had already gotten here and was still fuming mad at him. Saying she was pissed just didn't quite cut it. Caroline didn't know what to say about any of this and everyone knew how she could get when she was in one of these moods. She wondered if his mother was home and the question was answered when she spotted the woman coming out of the front door. She ran had human speed up to the woman. "Is Tyler home?" She asked. When she was allowed into the house Caroline stood there for a moment and collected herself. There was someone else that had been here, a werewolf, no a hybrid. Was Tyler seriously keeping another hybrid here to help him against Klaus. When was this madness going to end?! She let out a soft sigh. Walking through the lobby she heard a noise coming from the main living area. She knew this house like the back of her mind and knew that the place was more like a museum than it was a home However it meant she could find Tyler easier. Heading into it she saw what she was looking for. Tyler. He was sitting there and she wanted growl and throw herself at him for lying to her. Caroline stood there and crossed her arms over her chest. Her bag staying on her shoulder nicely. "I think it's safe to say that we need to talk Tyler" The fact that he was actually safe and sound at home was a start. As far as she knew he was still out in hiding so that Klaus couldn't come and find him as he already had access into Tyler's home. She sighed about something else she didn't know. ----------------------- ----------------------- Tyler had been in the living room sitting on the couch for a while, mulling over things that had happened, meeting Marina, seeing her again after several months and nearly getting into a fight with her because he had inadvertently hurt her feelings when he didn't recognize her, meeting Lily-Beth...all of these things were heavy on his mind. But there was one thing that was weighing even more heavily: Caroline. He still loved her and he supposed that he always would, but they could no longer be together. Not when Klaus was still in the picture. Though come to think of it, he hadn't seen the guy in a while. With anyone else, Tyler would be relieved, but considering that it was Klaus, it just sent him more on edge. He wouldn't just up and leave like that. No, he had to be planning something or trying to test him in some way. Which meant that he had to be even more careful than ever. He couldn't risk him finding out that he wasn't Sired to him as there was no telling who he would kill to make Tyler suffer. His reverie was broken when he heard Caroline's voice asking if he was home. Oh, damn! What is she doing here? he wondered. They had broken up so she wouldn't have any reason to be here. Unless something had happened to one of the others? But she didn't sound or seem scared. In fact, she almost sounded pissed. But why? There was no way she had found out what he was doing...was there? Oh boy. This isn't going to be good, he thought to himself. But what could he do? Everything he had done had been for her safety. But how was he ever going to make her see that? His ex could be stubborn when she wanted to be and it looked like this was going to be one of her stubborn times. Not that he could really blame her. She did deserve an explanation. But what could he tell her? "Hey Care, I love you and I've broken the Sire-bond but I lied about it and broke your heart so that I could protect you". Yeah, that would go over well. Not. Maybe I should just tell her the truth, he thought to himself. On the other hand, could he really risk it? He had no idea if Klaus would even come back to Mystic Falls or what he would do if he found out what the younger Hybrid was trying to do. However, before he could make a decision about what to do, she was in the living room, telling him that it was safe to say that they had to talk. "About what?" he asked, standing up and giving her a proper once-over, taking in her outfit which consisted of a pink buttoned up shirt which was covered by a denim jacket that seemed to be gray or light blue, and a pair of dark blue jeans. Man, she's looking good, he thought to himself, even as he focused on her stance. Yep. She was pissed. He could see it in her body language. Not that he could really blame her. She had every right to be. For all she knew, he had broken up with her just so he could date someone else, which was what the old Tyler would do. But he wasn't that guy anymore. At least...he was trying not to be. Not that Caroline would believe him. "Look Caroline, whatever you think you know, you don't. We broke up. That's all that matters," he said gruffly. However, he was sure that if she looked at him closely, she'd be able to see the panic in his eyes. Plus, Lilly's scent was probably all over the place, which would make her suspicious. Well, if worst came to worst, he could just play it off like he had hooked up with someone. It was a dick move, but as long as it kept her safe, that was all that mattered. He could live with her hating him for an eternity, but it would kill him if anything happened to her because of something he did. He couldn't let that happen. He couldn't let that happen. "You need to leave," he told her, as he went to take her by the arm, intending to lead her out the door. She couldn't stay here. He couldn't let her find out that he had lied to her. She'd never understand. -----------------------

----------------------- ----------------------- Caroline wasn't sure what she was about to experience. As far as she knew Tyler had been out living in the woods trying to stay away from any sort of populated areas and trying to keep from being on Klaus's radar. Of course the fact that Klaus was out of town may actually be helpful but that still wasn't the point. if he had come out of hiding why didn't he simply return to her? She knew she would have waited for him and yet he had been the one to break her heart and walk away fro their relationship because he didn't believe in himself and he didn't believe their love could withstand Klaus. However part of her had always hoped that he would come back to her, that he would prove to her that the two of them would get over this little bump in the road and he would trust himself around her. She believed in him so why couldn't he?
However to see him so relaxed with another girls scent all around the house was not what she had anticipated. So he had obviously moved on and now she no longer felt guilty about kissing Klaus, no now this was all on him. He wanted to show her that he had moved on and didn't care enough to tell her he was back in town and back at home, well then it told her everything she needed to know. However it didn't mean she didn't want answers, she wanted to know why he felt he needed to lie to her when she had done more than her fair share to have earned the truth. She was already pissed but seeing him so relaxed and looking as though he didn't have a care in the world made her mind want to explode. She wanted to run over there and claw at his face but somehow managed to keep herself restrained. She was shocked she could even do such a thing herself.
The cool exterior and the way he was acting made her wonder if he really had gone back to the old Tyler when he had been nothing but a complete douche bag. Probably, he had probably broken up with her to be with this other girl she could smell hanging around the house. "Really? That's the best you've got? How about the fact that you lied to my face, or that your back in town and didn't tell me or maybe it could be that you have another girl here showing that you've already moved on" She growled towards him and took a deep breath for herself. Getting more pissed wasn't going to help and she had to try and keep her mouth shut. If she opened it again she knew that the words that came out wouldn't exactly be a pretty scene. Carol Lockwood had agreed to take in a stranger but to take in a vampire had been another thing, she had never approved of Caroline and it made her worse than mad. Caroline watched as Tyler walked towards her. It was obvious there was something going through his mind it was just the question as to what was happening up there to know anything really. She stood there for only a moment looking flabbergasted. Of course he would come out with something like that. "Oh so I don't know that you lied about breaking your sire bond. That you in fact did break it and simply broke up with me anyway. All that mattered Tyler was I loved you and you broke my heart because you were nothing but a scared boy!" She realised she shouted a little at the end. She wouldn't cry again, not in front of someone who didn't deserve it. When he grabbed her upper arm and intended to lead her out of the door she yanked away from his grasp. "I'm not leaving, not until you tell me everything, that includes the truth Tyler, you owe me that." She spoke looking directly at him only a few centimetres away from him. ----------------------- ----------------------- Tyler watched Caroline apprehensively. What was she thinking? He knew that she most likely could smell Lilly-Beth all over the house, but he wasn't really sure if he would be able to explain it. But really, why should he? For one, it wasn't any of her business and for two, what she didn't know couldn't get her killed. He knew that she'd never tell Klaus or his minions about the female Hybrid---well, not willingly anyways---and he wanted to make sure that she was safe. If he had to act like the old Tyler to make her hate him, fine, so be it. He could live with her hate. He just wouldn't be able to live with himself if he got her killed. Because he had no delusions about what Klaus would do if he found out that he had broken the Sire-bond and was trying to help other Hybrids to do the same. And the girl in front of him meant more to him than anything else in the world. Damn, sometimes being a good guy sucks, he thought to himself. If he had been the old Tyler, he would've just played up the situation that she thought this was, not even feeling a little bit guilty of how it would make her feel. Okay, scratch that. He would've felt guilty, but he would've pushed it down and convinced himself that he wasn't doing anything wrong. But he did feel kind of bad and maybe he was going about this the wrong way. But really, what else could he do? He had to sell it. Klaus wouldn't believe it if Caroline didn't. Everything hinged on his ex believing that he was still the Original's little errand boy. He didn't really care for the idea of doing everything he said, but he'd do it to protect the people he cared about. He then cringed as she asked him if playing dumb was the best that he could do, reminding him that he had lied to her outright, had come back to town without telling her, and then she asked him about the fact that he had another girl in the house, which meant that he had moved on, ending the sentence with a growl. Okay, that was all fair. Maybe letting her think that she had been played wasn't the best way to go. "It's not what you're thinking, but it's safer for you if you don't have any details," he responded as he watched her trying to compose herself. Please, Car. Just accept that, he pleaded silently. But he had a feeling that she wouldn't. She was too stubborn. It was one of the things that he loved about her. And yes, he was still in love with her. But he had effectively ruined that relationship. There was no salvaging it. Now if he could just get her to give up on her crazy mission that she had set out on. Why couldn't she just chalk the break up to him being a dick and give up on him? That was what most girls would've done. Then again, Caroline Forbes had never been most girls. And that meant that she wasn't giving up on what she had come here to do until she got the answers she was looking for. Tyler's eyes widened as Caroline continued, revealing that she knew that he had lied about breaking the Sire-bond and that he had broken up with her anyway. He had expected a lot of different reactions from her, but this one hadn't even crossed his mind. She knows? She knows the bond's broken? he thought. If she knew, Klaus would be able to compel it out of her. No! He couldn't let that happen. And maybe she didn't actually know. Maybe she was just fishing. She had done that before. Okay, yeah, now he had entered Wishful Thinking Land. "How'd you find out?" he asked. He then cringed again as she continued on, saying that the only thing that mattered was that she had loved him and that he had broken her heart because he was a scared boy. Yup. Definitely pissed. And who could blame her? Everything she said was the truth---especially the part about him being scared. "And that proves that I'm no good for you. You need someone better," he said, spitting the words out before he could take them back. Oh, how he hated saying that! But he had to keep her safe and he couldn't do that if she was with him. He had hoped---but not really expected---that she would let him lead her out of the house, but of course she didn't. Instead, she jerked away, saying that she wasn't leaving until he told her the truth about everything, adding that he owed her that much. At her words, he let out a sigh. She was right. He did owe her the truth. But her knowing the truth was dangerous. What was he supposed to do? Well, I guess since the cat's out of the bag, might as well tell her the truth, he thought to himself. "You're right. I did break the bond. But I also met another Hybrid. Only...her situation is a bit...delicate," he said diplomatically. Yes, he was going to tell his ex the truth, but the fact that Lilly-Beth's werewolf side was a raging psycho that went out of control during each shift was Lilly-Beth's story and he wasn't going to betray the confidence she had given him. Surely Caroline would respect that. ----------------------- OOC Oh my lanta! I have no idea how he got so chatty. Sorry for the insane length.

----------------------- ----------------------- Caroline realised she was probably being unfair to Tyler, in her own way she knew she was simply being selfish about the entire situation. Yet she couldn't help how her vampire emotions seemed to overwhelm her and the betrayal and hurt she was feeling was taking over everything else. Of course what did vampires do when they were hurt? Lash out at the person that caused it, she knew she wouldn't do anything too drastic but she at least wanted her answers. She wanted to know what was going on and why she had been lied to in the first place. It was out of character for Tyler to lie to her, they had been friends before they had been lovers after all. Then of course when they had finally gotten together it had seemed like a long time coming. Tyler was her first real love and it wasn't something she was going to forget, however this lie almost over rode everything else that had happened between them.
When it was obvious that she wasn't going to get anymore details other than it wasn't what she thought it was. So he hadn't moved on with another girl that was obviously living here now. It seemed awfully coincidental. She wanted to throw herself at him and maybe rip his throat out or something instead she ran a hand through her hair frustratedly. "Seriously!? You can't just ask me to accept that. You have another girl living here and your telling me that there is nothing going on between or? Or the fact that your not denying lying to my face or trying to explain as fast as possible so we don't end this on bad terms like we are now!" She spoke knowing her voice was raising and she was doing everything she could not to end up screaming at him. She had never felt so betrayed and by someone she cared deeply about, her love for him was fading and yet she still had feelings for him and still cared for him. The shock on Tyler's face was all she needed to know that she had caught him out. So he wasn't even planning on telling her now until she had brought it up. Part of her wanted to strangle him for that, how dare he treat her as though she meant nothing to him? "What does it matter how I found out? Everyone knows! I can't believe you wouldn't tell me something as big as this! Why would you keep my in the dark like this?" She demanded from him. Care knew she was being unreasonable and yet she couldn't see past her own anger right now. She growled in frustration again. He was being so condescending. "How can you even say that!? It's like everything we had just meant nothing to you. I wanted you! You just sound like the old Tyler, the one that everyone hated. Including me!" She was trying to calm herself down to no avail. Nothing seemed to be working. Finally it seemed she managed to get through to him. He seemed to be willing to tell her everything she wanted to know. He spoke short and to the point. So this other girl that she could smell was a hybrid as well but was having a delicate situation. She frowned a little and took it in and letting out a deep breath she knew she was calming now. She was getting the answers she wanted. "Ok I get that some people's situation suck. I can deal with that. However I want to know how you broke the sire bond and the big question is why you didn't tell me? I could have helped you Tyler." She spoke knowing it to be true. Anything he asked of her she would have happily done for him and yet he had seemed completely content with keeping her in the dark. She was curious about this other hybrid but knew that Tyler wouldn't tell something that wasn't his to tell, it was something she admired about him. ----------------------- ----------------------- Tyler could tell that Caroline was frustrated and she proved that point by running her fingers through her hair, telling him that he couldn't just ask her to accept his explanation when he had another girl in the house, her tone indicating that she didn't believe that nothing was happening between them, pointing out that he wasn't trying to deny what was going on. Okay that was fair. She had a good point that he wasn't doing anything in his favor. "It's another Hybrid who hit a bit of a snag in trying to break her bond to Klaus. But I can't say what that snag is without breaking her confidence," he said with a heavy sigh as he ran his fingers through his hair. Even if Lilly-Beth had given him permission to tell Caroline what was going on with her, he had no idea how he would even word it. How did you explain to someone that your inner wolf turned psycho with every turn? Yeah, not so easy. When she told him that it didn't matter how she had found out as everybody knew, his eyes widened and his face paled. "Everybody?" he repeated, barely registering her question of how he could keep her in the dark. Everybody knew? That meant... "Damn it! I was trying to avoid this!" he said, messing his hair up with his hands. If Klaus had found out what he was doing, he needed to take Lilly-Beth and run as far as they could. He then internally winced as she asked how he could say that they didn't belong together and that he was acting like the old Tyler that everyone---including her---had hated. "I can live with your hate, Care, but I'd never be able to live with your death," he said softly. And her death would most likely come soon now if Klaus really did know what he was doing. I'm screwed. I'm just totally screwed. And what's worse, is that I brought Lilly-Beth into this, he thought to himself. To his relief, she accepted that he couldn't tell her about Lilly-Beth's situation, saying that she understood that it sucked and that she could understand that, but she still wanted to know how he had broken the Sire-bond and why he hadn't told her as she could've helped him. "I broke every bone in my body a hundred times until it no longer hurt," he told her, his mind drifting to the endless nights he had spent forcing the change upon himself. He then gave himself a mental shake and turned his attention back to his ex. "I was going to tell you, I wanted to tell you, but then I realized that I had to help other hybrids break the bond and that if Klaus knew what I was doing, he'd destroy me in the worst way possible: he'd kill you. So I figured it was better to pretend that I was still Sired. I had to sell it, which meant that you had to believe it," he told her. Okay, it was a dick move to do this to her, but what else could he have done? Presentation had been key, though it appeared that he hadn't actually fooled anyone. He let out a small scoff as he shook his head. "I guess that's out of the question now," he murmured. He's going to kill us all, he thought to himself. He had promised to protect Lilly-Beth and had totally failed. She would've been better off without him. What had been thinking? The guy was ancient and powerful. There was no way he could beat him. Him finding out that he wasn't actually Sired to him anymore despite the boy's best efforts just proved it. "I'm sorry, Care. I was just trying to keep you safe and I've probably just signed your death warrant," he stated. Think. He needed to think. He had to figure out a way to get him and Lilly-Beth out of Mystic Falls. He had to think of something to tell his mother. His mother! Klaus would most likely kill her first! "Oh, man! What've I done? If he knows, he'll kill everyone! You, my mom, the hybrids I'm trying to help..." he exclaimed. Yup. They were all screwed and it was all his fault... -----------------------

----------------------- ----------------------- Caroline could tell that this was not what he wanted. She understood that he was mad for her showing up here but at the same time surely he knew why she was so angry. They had meant soo much to each other and all he had done was lie to her, right to her face and not even come forward with it or even been trying to find a way to tell her. It had hurt her feelings more than she thought it would have and she knew her trust in Tyler was already fading, not something she had anticipated feeling any time soon. She only had to look at Tyler and start to get angry over and over again. of course the worst part wasn't anything to do with him, she blamed herself for making him think that he couldn't trust her with any of this. That he felt the need to hide it from her when she wanted nothing more than to have helped him in this quest.
She wanted to growl at his words and yet at the same time she knew that she couldn't push further for that one. It wasn't for him to tell someone else's story without their permission. "Ok s your helping someone else break their sire bond to Klaus which I didn't even know you had broken in the first place. Awesome." She knew she sounded like nothing more than a spoilt child and yet she couldn't stop the words from coming out of her mouth. His reaction when she said that everyone knew he had broken his sire bond was not what she had expected. The colour literally drained from his face and his eyes went wide. Why was it such a big deal that everyone knew? It wasn't as though Klaus was in town to even pick up on the new little piece of gossip. What did it matter than the rest of their friends knew everything? He looked as though he were starting to get angry with himself as well as those around him. She just couldn't understand him. Avoid what? What was happening she had no clue. Avoid what Tyler? Talk to me will you! I don't understand what's going on?" She asked getting frustrated and actually worried. She frowned at his words, he didn't care if she hated him but cared if she'd die. Did he not know that Klaus had feelings for her now? "What are you on about Tyler!? Klaus would never hurt me! He likes me didn't you know that? Klaus wants me to be with him so I know he wouldn't hurt me. but if you had been around and talking to me you would have known that." She said knowing she was pointing the finger at him pretty much. She knew it was probably unfair but she couldn't seem to stop her mouth from having a go at him. She frowned and felt her anger build up again. Really that was all there was to it? To try and convince Klaus that eh was still sired to him he had to make Care believe it as well. Now he was trying to what raise Klaus's army against him or something. Surely he knew all he was going to do was get himself killed. "You can't be serious right?! All your doing is going to get yourself killed Tyler. You can't go up against Klaus he would slaughter all of you. Not to mention if you try to kill him you kill yourselves along with him. I won't let you do this. Help them destroy their sire bond sure but don't let them go against him and certainly don't you try to either!" She knew her voice had raised again but she couldn't help her worry. Going against Klaus was nothing more than a suicide mission just waiting to happen. Caroline could see him freaking out and knew it wouldn't get either of them anywhere. They had to figure this out, if he didn't know that Klaus was out of town then they were all in luck for now. She sighed and went over and grabbed him by both of his shoulders giving them a gentle shake to get his attention back in the room. "Klaus is out of town at the moment. Which means he doesn't know. We can convince people to keep your secret even Rebekah Tyler. Calm down ok we will get through this. Only this time no secrets and no lies. I'm still pissed though. We can get through this together, the hybrids can pretend to be sired to him right? Which will keep them safe, then your mom can be protected by the rest of us." She spoke knowing it really wasn't all that simple but it was the best she could offer for now. ----------------------- ----------------------- Tyler nodded when Caroline repeated his statement of helping a Hybrid break a Sire-bond to Klaus like he had---a fact that he had kept from her. "Yes," he answered. "Look, maybe it was stupid not to tell you, but I had no idea what would happen if found out and I figured if you didn't know, he wouldn't be able to get it out of you," he answered. Almost as soon as he finished his sentence, he realized how it sounded. "Not that I thought you'd tell him, but if he caught you without Vervain, or if he decided to purge you of it---" his voice trailed off. He knew that Caroline and some of the other vampires had started ingesting Vervain---heck so had he---and if Klaus had a mind to do it, he'd find a way to get to them. "I was just doing what I thought was best," he said. When she asked him what he was trying to avoid, adding that she didn't understand what was going on, Tyler let out a breath. "Him finding out. Klaus will never buy me still being bonded to him if people know about it because they'll treat me like they normally do. I need people to believe that I'm still Sired. It's the only way this will work," he answered. I'm sorry, Care. I hope you'll understand this, he thought to himself. He was just trying to do what he thought was best. Maybe he gone about this the wrong way, but it was all that he could come up with at the time. Then, his eyes flickered as she said that Klaus would never hurt her as he had feelings for her, something that he'd know if he had bothered to talk to her. "I know him well enough to know that his feelings can change on a whim. Even if he's into you, I can't take that chance," he said, trying to quell his jealousy. He didn't have the right to be jealous of someone being into her. Not anymore. But still, the feeling was there. He couldn't just shut off his emotions. Well, he supposed he could, but it probably wouldn't do him any good. It wasn't like he could stop Klaus if he truly wanted Caroline. At least...not yet. After he told her what his plan was, she started yelling at him, saying that he couldn't be serious, as he would get himself and the other hybrids killed if he went up against Klaus and if Klaus was killed, it would kill everyone else in his Sire-line. "I know. That's why I haven't made a move yet. I need to figure out how to break the line and then take care of him," Tyler answered. He wasn't a total idiot: he knew that he couldn't just attack Klaus. Like he had told Caroline, he needed to figure out a way to make sure that he and any other vampires that had been Sired to him didn't die as soon as the Original croaked. When she said that she'd help him break the Sire-bond, but not to kill him as it was a suicide mission, he let out a huff. "So what am I supposed to do? Just let the guy who nearly sacrificed us on an altar just waltz into our town and come to Founder's Parties like he's our best friend?" he asked, somewhat bitterly. "Okay, granted, I kind of have to since he doesn't know that I'm not Sired to him, but come on! We're supposed to just let him use the town as his own personal all you can eat buffet?" he asked. Okay, calm down, Ty. You're starting to sound like a jealous boyfriend, he reminded himself. And he wasn't. Her boyfriend, that is. Yes, he could admit to being jealous. But he'd just have to deal with it. It wasn't like he could do anything about it or had any right to do anything about it. He took a deep breath to compose himself. He had to calm down or get out of here. Yeah, getting out of here was good. With that, he made a move to leave, but she grabbed him and gave him a gentle shake, telling him that Klaus was out of town which meant that he didn't know and that they could convince people to keep his secret, even Rebekah. "I don't know. You sure we can trust her?" he asked and then listened to her suggestion. "Yeah. that sounds good. I think it might be doable," he murmured. Well, unfortunately, not for Lilly-Beth, but he couldn't exactly say that. -----------------------

----------------------- ----------------------- Caroline was still trying to wrap her head around everything that he was saying to her. On one hand it made sense to a good point. He was only trying to protect her but then on the other hand, he shouldn't have lied to her. He should have told her that he was no longer sired to Klaus and that he was working on trying to help the other hybrids as well. He should have explained because at the end of the day she could handle herself and she knew better than anyone that Klaus wouldn't come after her. However if Tyler had been around a little more he would have known that as well instead he had took things into his own hands and left her out of any choice making. She knew that they were over and she would always feel something for him, he was her first love after all. But the trust was gone, no matter what she couldn't trust that he wasn't going to lie to her again just because he thought he was protecting her and looking out for her.
He didn't exactly pick up on the fact that she was mocking him so she just let that bit go. She rolled her eyes a little and sighed when he went on to explain a little bit more, at least he was telling her everything that she needed to know now. She growled this was the part that frustrated her most. "But that wasn't your decision to make Tyler! We were supposed to have been in this together and yet your making it seem as though your the only person making the decisions." She wondered when he thought she would have crossed a line but he was still explaining at least. [coloff162b]"If you had been around you would have known that Klaus wouldn't touch me. He kissed me but not as in trying to hurt me. But you don't know that because your never here. Tyler you don't get to chose what's best for me. I can handle myself." She spoke her tone exasperated. She rolled her eyes, even with this sire bond gone, it was still all about Klaus. There was nothing about the freedom that he had so obviously craved. When would he get the point that he was free now if he was no longer sired to him then he could live his life as he wanted to. Klaus wouldn't stick around in this small town forever. "Then go and be free. Don't live your life evolving around him. I thought that was the whole point. Help your friends and then be you Tyler." She spoke a little softer at this point. She understood why he did what he did however it didn't mean that she had to like it. "You couldn't but I would have been willing to do that for you. All you had to do was ask. Everyone here looks out for each other and yet it was like you've gone back to the old you, the one that only thinks of himself." She spoke letting her tone show the slight disappointment in his actions. She frowned not understanding why he was thinking like this. She sighed a little and wondered if Klaus really had sired all of their line. She didn't even know which original she was descended from and it always mattered. "That's the thing Tyler, you can't! There is no way to break that line even Bonnie has looked into it. For all we know Klaus sired my blood line as well. Then we all die." It sounded as though he didn't care got caught in the cross fire and he was after his own personal vendetta more than anything else. "No there's no way he can accept the way he is but there is also nothing we can do about it! Tyler he'll move on eventually. We just have to find a way to keep Elena out of his hands. We need to work together. I can distract better than most apparently and that is all we need, a big distraction." She spoke knowing that it probably wasn't true either. He was obviously frustrated to the point of no return. She still didn't know the hows exactly that he managed to break his sire bond but it was obvious that what ever it was had changed him. He seemed to be worried and wanted to just try and keep himself calm. The main focus was letting people know not to tell Klaus about the hybrids no longer being sired to him, it was the only way. She sighed and nodded her head at his question. "Strangely enough Rebekah has proven herself quite well. She's good for protection that's for sure. Tyler we can keep your secrets safe but you can't go after Klaus. It's a suicide mission and if we want Rebekah to help keep Elena safe like we really need, then we need to make sure that she is on our side, going after Klaus will not help that." She spoke softly and let go of his shoulders. ----------------------- ----------------------- Tyler blew out a breath as Caroline said that it wasn't his decision to make and that they were supposed to be in it together, but the fact that he made the decision on his own made it seem like he was the only one making the decision. She was right. They had promised to do these type of things together, and what had he done? He had just made his own decision about what do about the Sire-bond and helping any other Hybrids. "You're right. I shouldn't have made the decision on my own. I should've talked to you," he said. She had every right to be upset with him. Then his eyes clouded as she continued on, saying that if he had been around, he'd know that Klaus would never hurt her as he had kissed her, but he didn't know that because he wasn't ever there, and didn't get to choose what was best for her. He had kissed her? Klaus had kissed her? Had Caroline fallen for him? However, he didn't ask the question. He didn't have the right. He couldn't deny that he was jealous, but it wasn't like he could do anything about it. "I know you can take care of yourself. I'm sorry for hurting you," he said softly. Yeah, he was sorry, but he had a feeling it was too little, too late. He fell silent and looked at Caroline who told him to go ahead and be free and not to live his life around Klaus, which she had thought had been the point of him breaking the bond, adding that he should help his friends and be himself. "Of course the point of the Sire-bond was to be free and I'll help the other Hybrids, but I'm supposed to just let him get away with ruining all of our lives?" he asked. "Come on, Car! He tried to kill us! He killed Jenna and Elena! We're supposed to let that go like that's okay?" he asked. Okay, so he and Elena weren't all that close, but still, she was a friend. And the fact that Klaus had killed her didn't sit well with him. He didn't know where this protective streak was coming from, but it was there and he didn't understand why his ex wasn't feeling the same way. Then, she was speaking again, saying that she would've been willing to help him if he had just asked, reminding him that they all looked for one another, and that it looked like he had turned back into the old Tyler---the one who only thought about himself. "That wasn't---I'm sorry. That wasn't what I had intended. I just---" he cut himself off, knowing there wasn't a good way to explain himself. He didn't want to make her even more mad at him. When he told her that he was planning to find a way to break the blood-line to Klaus and then take him down, he wasn't sure what he had expected, but it wasn't her to yell that there wasn't a way to break it, that Bonnie had looked into it, and for all they knew, she was part of his line too and if he died, so would she. He blew out a breath. She had a point. They didn't know how many of them were in Klaus' bloodline, but what were they supposed to do? He didn't want anything to happen to her. "So, what am I supposed to do?" he wondered, running his fingers through his hair. He then listened to the girl as she said that there wasn't anything they could do about Klaus as he would move on eventually, and that they just had to keep Elena away from him, which meant that they needed to work together and provide a distraction, which she was good at. "That's not the only thing you're good at. You're good at making people see reason. And you're a good friend," he told her. She was, and he had treated her like crap. And he'd never forgive himself for that. And Caroline would probably never forgive him for it either. He then listened as she said that Rebekah had proven herself and was good for protection, adding that they could keep his secrets but that he couldn't go after Klaus as it was a suicide mission and that if they wanted Rebekah to help them keep Elena safe, they needed to make sure that she was really on their side, which wouldn't happen if they went after Klaus. "You're right. You're absolutely right," he agreed with a sigh. He knew that if someone went after his friends and family, there wouldn't be anything anyone could do to stop him from protecting them. "So since I obviously didn't think things through, do you have any ideas?" he asked. Maybe they could come up with something together. -----------------------
