The Mikaelson home, lavish, expensive, fancy. You wouldn't be able to tell if you were to enter the halls of it on this day. The crystal glasses, once sparkling in the light are now expensive pieces of glass strewn across the floor. The handmade 1800s oak furniture, once standing proud and tall, now splinters in the fireplace, The hand sewn 200 year old rugs, once colorful, beautiful, now they were stained with every kind of alcohol imaginable. A lone man stood at the fireplace with the bottle of Brandy, the only alcohol he didn't throw.
"How dare she! After I told her how I felt about people throwing my feelings back at me!" He mumbled to himself taking a sip of the last alcohol in the house. "After I finally gave her what she wanted, she still hurts me?" He asked himself. It wasn't suppose to be that way, she was suppose to accept his feelings, she was suppose to care. He felt the tears in his eyes. "She wanted me to show a bit of humanity, confess my feelings for her. I did that, and what does she do? She throws it back into my face!" Klaus spoke to himself.
Well, maybe I am the monster they all claim. He thought to himself. Maybe I should just shut off the scrap of humanity that I showed today. Then I wouldn't feel anything for her anymore. He continued in his own mind now. He didn't know if he would ever be able to forgive Caroline for this, especially that this was the exact reason he was scared to tell her in the first place. Because he didn't want her to throw his feelings back in his face like they meant nothing to her. She still ran from him knowing all of that, and now he had no choice.
In an instant his mind went blank, all feelings, all emotions, all humanity that Caroline caused him to expose to her today were gone. He took another sip of the brandy, finishing off the alcohol and letting it burn the back of his throat. He threw the bottle into the fireplace and turned around. "Now, its time for some fun. Where is that runt Tyler? Maybe he will be good for a few moments of entertainment tonight." Klaus spoke to himself, taking off leaving the house, The Mikaelson home, once lavish, expensive, fancy, now destroyed, worthless and messy.
Arriving in the town square, it was just after sunset. Klaus sat down on a park bench. He began watching the happy couples come and go, entering shops, spending their money on each other. God he hated this time of year. Christmas... He scoffed at the thought. He found it funny, that these couples thought they were so happy, that they will leave each other eventually, it didn't matter, how in love you were. It was inevitable. He went up to a guy and grabbed his arm. "Leave her mate, she isn't worth it, she doesn't care about you." Klaus compelled him.
The man listened to him and walked away from her. The women pleaded with him to stay, to love her. He grabbed her now. "He doesn't love you anymore. Go throw yourself off of Wickery Bridge and drown yourself, love." Klaus compelled her now. She nodded and got into her car and sped off towards Wickery Bridge. Well that was fun for a few moments, but he needed more, and someone had to be brave, stupid or desperate to cross his path tonight.

She'd ended up admitting that she had feelings for him, and he'd told her that he wanted to be with her. However when she was asked to forget what her friends would think of her for being with him, she blanked. And unable to face her feelings and her friends, she left. She blurred out of the kitchen and he'd been too stunned to stop her in time. She'd left, surely leaving him hurt, upset. Betrayed. He'd confided in her and opened up to her and she'd left him alone. Now, it was all she could think about.
Klaus was the only thing she could think about. And she hated it. But she couldn't help it.
The first place she'd gone had been the woods. When she was stressing out, she ate. However she hadn't been fufilled after the deer she'd taken down. So she'd next stopped to grab two bags from Damon's blood supply, quickly sucking them down. Full, she ran home and changed. It was actually rather chilly that night and despite the fact that temperature didn't affect her, she had to keep up appearances. She'd gotten dressed and hesitantly decided to go find him. She simply couldn't leave things like she had and she knew it. She'd never let herself live it down. For once, he'd shown his humanity. He'd shown it to her and she'd left. She couldn't leave it like that - she couldn't hurt him like that, despite all that he'd done to her and her friends.
Arriving at his mansion and finding it empty hadn't helped her guilt, either. Especially since she'd gone inside. She'd seen all of the liquor bottles...all of the smashed items on the floor. Part of her knew it was dangerous to seek him out when he was like it. The other part of her didn't care, and hoped she'd be able to calm him down. Desperately hoped at that.
And it hadn't taken long to find him in the town square. As she crossed the stone path, she watched a woman walk away from him and drive off quicker than what Caroline considered to be normal. God only knew what he'd just told the woman to do. Walking up from behind him was dangerous, but she did it anyways. Reaching out to touch his shoulder, she hoped he wouldn't respond by ripping her heart from her chest - as she'd seen him do before. "Klaus..." she whispered as her hand landed on his chest, attempting to spin him towards her. Now all she could do was wait, and hope, that this didn't get her killed. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -[/color]

Watching the once happy couple be completely destroyed gave Klaus a huge smile on his face. "To be young and in love." Klaus mused to himself. Klaus was enjoying himself for once. Before he was worried about what Caroline would think of his actions. It felt like walking on pins and needles with her, every little action she would dissect and yell at him for. So now that Klaus could do whatever he felt like and no one could tell him what to do, then he was gonna take advantage of it, and it was only gonna get better.
Hearing her familiar voice speaking to him as she grabbed him forcing him to face her. There was a time when looking on that face was all he wanted to do. But Klaus shut that part of himself down. Klaus stared at her for a few moments, replying the last moments with her in his head. As he kissed her and told her how he felt, finally showing a bit of humanity, and asking her to help him. Klaus watched as she ran from his site, how she got away so fast was probably because he wasn't expecting it. He gave her what she wanted, yet she still left him.
Klaus said nothing to her at first as he studied her face. He could tell that she was clearly upset about something. What could she be so upset about? Something was troubling her, and it couldn't of been what she did to him that was causing her to be upset and determined over something. "Hello, love. Come to reject me again?" He asked her. Not that he really cared what she thought of him anymore. Klaus getting hurt once by Caroline meant one thing and one thing only. That it was NEVER gonna happen again, that was just how it was gonna be.
Studying her face he knew that this was not the case. Did she really think it was gonna be that simple? That he would trust so easily again? That he would just forgive her for betraying his trust like that, for making him feel like an idiot? "I'm sorry love but if you have come to apologize, its too little too late. You stomped on my feelings and I had to dispose of them." Klaus told her finally, his feelings, his emotions, his humanity, however briefly he showed them, were long gone now, and she had no one to blame but herself. Klaus confided in her and she threw it back at his face.
