Bonnie was off busy with some magic stuff and nowhere to be seen. Elena was around, sort of, but never paying any actual attention. Plus - getting that girl alone was impossible. Whenever Caroline ever actually saw her she had one of the Salvatore's at her side. She didn't mind Damon and Stefan (she'd gotten over her hatred for Damon) but jesus. It was a little hard to have girl talk around those two. Especially when it concerned Tyler and lastly, Klaus. She didn't even think Elena would accept that or want to talk to her about it.
Tyler had betrayed her. He'd lied to her about the sire bond and then she'd found some girl living with him. To top it off not too long after, Klaus had literally professed his love for her. Although she had feelings for him too she wasn't sure if she was actually in love with the man. She wasn't sure if she could love him after everything he'd done to her and all of her friends. Hell, not two years ago he'd been trying to use her as his damn sacrifice! Instead of giving him an actual answer she'd fled. Literally fled, and ran off and away from him. She couldn't answer him when she was that upset. There was way too much going on in her life at the moment. He'd get his answer sooner or later.
"My friends suck" she mumbled, putting up air quotes at the words friends even though she was alone walking towards the grill. She talked to herself quite frequently - it'd become kind of a habit. She wasn't however sure if it was a good habit or not.
Entering the grill, she didn't see anyone around that she actually felt like talking to. People she knew, sure. But no one she cared to fake small talk with. She headed right to the bar. "Vodka, please" the bartender looked to her and laughed. "I know you ain't twenty-one darlin'. You scream high schooler" she laughed too, before catching his gaze. "You're going to give me whatever I want, and you're going to keep it coming. Free." One knew she was in a bad mood when she used her compulsion. The man nodded. "Vodka coming up, on the house, of course!"
She smiled and thanked him. As he set the shot before her, she downed it and waited for another. She then downed that one too. It was going to be a long night. Or, a really short one, depending on how much she drank. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -[/color]

After his conversation with Stefan left more questions then answers for the semi-retired vampire hunter, Alaric decided to do what he did best now a days, and that was head to the bar. Tonight he at least had a good excuse for it. He found out that Jenna was back and that she was a vampire. Alaric still loved her with all his heart, but he was worried she wouldn't love him anymore seeing what he became when she was gone, a borderline alcoholic, heck AA didn't want him as they thought there was no hope for him, that's how bad it was.
He did decide that if Jenna wanted him back that he would be open to it. He had to give his girlfriend a chance, no matter what she as, but she hasn't got in contact with him yet and she probably needed time. That was fine by Alaric, he needed time as well at least right now. Sooner or later he would be begging her to come to him as he can't stand to be away from her for to much longer. But for now the distance was needed between them. It really was the most complicated situation he has found himself in in a very long time and he didn't know what to do.
Entering the Mystic Grill he looked around. No Damon, so he couldn't sit with his drinking buddy today, but he did spot a familiar head of long blonde hair and he knew who it was. He approached her and took the seat next to her. "Careful, you are gonna become worse then I am if you keep that up." Alaric told Caroline before he ordered a shot for himself. He looked at her finally and he knew she was having problems as well. If her problem was as complicated as his was then they were gonna be two peas in a pod tonight.
"OK ignoring the fact that your my student and your underage drinking right now, I am just gonna pretend to be the hip cool teacher that I use to be and let it slide." Alaric told her with a smile. He knew she probably compelled the bartender to let her drink, and though he had strong feelings about that, it wasn't the worst thing she could do, besides she wasn't really just a girl anymore, she was a vampire, so it wasn't like the alcohol was gonna do any damage to her body. He settled on that as a good excuse to allow it.
He looked at the blonde vampire and sighed. "Relationship troubles? Join the club. Isn't life wonderful?" Alaric asked her. drinking down his shot. "Anything I can help with?" Alaric asked her, he was always interested in helping his students out, and if he could get his mind off his own problems for a bit then that was just icing on the cake. Maybe he could help Caroline solve her problem.
Tags: Caroline Forbes, Open Words: 495 Notes: LOL, I thought it would be a cute little thread, also they can mourn together seeing as they are both having relationship troubles.
