----------------------- Chelcie groaned for both of them, it was like she was living in a chickflick movie, “please stop your killing.” She pleaded still teasing him. “I don’t know how much more cheese I can handle.” She continued laugh at Jesse’s expense, even she knew that she enjoyed messing with his good nature a little too much. “Oh dear Jesse,” Chelcie said repeating his name three times, “you have a lot to learn about women.” She stated winking knowingly toward him, “I was under the impression that we’re only after one thing.” She stated again, this time with an insinuation wink.
She laughed when Jesse told her, that he tried to not go into situations with his eyes closed. “That my dear boy is exactly what you should be doing,” Chelcie said, as she put an emphasis on should. “You’ll learn that life is a lot more fun, when you jump at things with your eyes closed.” She stated, only now coming down from her laughter, “call it a different perspective.”
As it appeared Jesse was a man, who didn’t open up about his past easily. Telling Chelcie one thing, that his college days were indeed wild days. She was determined to get to the bottom of this mystery, it would definitely be her knew challenge, finding out about the fun, dark and wild past that the now police officer had.
Turning abruptly into Jesse’s path, she grabbed onto his tee-shirt, and as she pleaded she looked up, with her best attempt at puppy dog eyes. “But you can tell me, do you really think that I’m a girl to go around telling people.”
Reaching the summit didn’t take long, the walk had been quicker then she was expecting it to be. Stretching her arms out and back, and her chest out, she walked around. Before finally settling on the ledge, leaning against the railing looking down over the waterfall, instantly getting an idea in her head to help Jesse loosen up.
Turning she spoke to the man, “So Jesse, remember how I told you I would help you find the fun part of life?” she asked a little too ingenuously, for it to be an innocent question.

-------------------------- -------------------------- Jesse rolled his eyes as Chelcie groaned, telling him that she didn't know how much more cheese she could handle, that he had a lot to learn about women, and that she had thought that they were only after one thing, giving him an insinuating wink as she finished her sentence. Oooh, I am not going there, he thought to himself. There was no way he was going to risk crossing the line in their banter. He had to be careful and to remember that he had a responsibility in town and had to set a good example for the townspeople. When he told her that he tried not to go into situations with his eyes closed, she laughed and told him that that was what he needed to do as he would find that life was a lot more fun when he did and that he could call it a different perspective. "I have plenty of fun, just not the kind of fun you're thinking of," he shot back. Yeah, to him fun was listening to music in his living room after finishing up reports. However, he had a feeling if he said that, she'd laugh at him even more. And that wasn't something he wanted to have happen, so he wasn't going to mention it. But apparently, she wasn't going to let him get away with not divulging anything, for she appeared in front of him, grabbing his t-shirt as she told him that he could tell her anything, asking if he really thought she'd go around telling people. "One of the first things you learn while growing up in New York is how to keep your mouth. Doesn't matter if you're from Brooklyn or Queens," he responded. And okay, so Queens was one of the better areas of New York, but it didn't mean that some of the kids weren't tough. He then watched as she walked towards the railing and leaned against it. Man, she better be careful or she's liable to fall right over the ledge, he thought to himself. She then asked him if he remembered how she had said that she'd help him find the fun part of life. "Yes I do, and this ain't it, cause I hate to break it to ya, but I ain't Superman," he told her. No he wasn't Superman and she jumped, she was going to go splat. Oh, he could just imagine that conversation with the sheriff. He'd be out of a job in no time and rightfully so. So hopefully, she wouldn't try to jump. ----------------------- It had just kind of, happened. Chelcie hadn’t really meant to go out of her way, to try and put Jesse into awkward and compromising positions, given what his vocation was. However she was having way too much fun teasing him, Chelcie also knew that he had too much respect, for him to fall victim to her teasing, but that didn’t mean she was going to stop anytime soon. As far as she was concerned, Jesse did this to himself. He was even putting those horrible films to shame, there was a part of Chelcie, that didn’t quite believe somebody could actually be so, innocent. Not that Jesse was innocent in the usual sense; he just needed to be shaken up.
Chelcie wasn’t really wild child per se; she also wasn’t really a party girl far from it in fact. But she did enjoy getting people to jump out of their shell. She might have been Christian King’s roommate, but he was even more innocent then Jesse was, she saw both men as a challenge. It was all well and could being sensible, but Chelcie knew very much that life was too short, at least in her line of work.
“Jesse, Jesse, Jesse,” she said repeating his name in an amused fashion, “do I look like the type of girl who would let you go too crazy, I’m hurt you don’t trust me.” Chelcie said laughing, obviously poking fun since her tone couldn’t be more sarcastic even if she tried. “It’s not like I’m telling you drive your copper car with your eyes closed,” she said with a shrug.
She soon find herself laughing, really laughing at Jesse’s New York statement, and about knowing when to keep your mouth shut. Of course New Yorkers were like that, and Chelcie had to roll her eyes at him for mentioning it, ‘like really, he did not just say that.’ This was typical Jesse, and she felt somewhat disappointed with how weak she thought the excuse was. “Nice, that’s a real good try dude. But I really don’t think little old Mystic Falls is anything like the big apple.”
Pulling away from the ledge, as she continued to laugh, if she wasn’t careful she might actually fall, if she laughed at every single cute statement that Jesse made. Of course if she jumped far enough, there would be no harm, since the water was deep enough to break her fall, after all that was what the pin drop was for. “Really really,” Chelcie said as she made those two words sound like a question, as she turned to face him. “You could’ve fooled me,” she said poking fun at his good guy nature again.

-------------------------- -------------------------- Jesse wasn't really sure what Chelcie's game was. Oh, he knew she was only teasing, but other than that, he had no idea what she was doing. Well, he'd let her have her fun and games as she wasn't really hurting anything, but if it went to far, he'd put a stop to it. It was the responsible thing to do after all. And Jesse was nothing if not responsible. He then grinned as she said his name in an amused voice, asking him if she looked like someone who would let him do something too crazy, saying that she was hurt that she didn't trust him. "Oh yeah. You look absolutely heartbroken," he deadpanned. He then laughed as she said it wasn't like she was asking him to drive his patrol car with his eyes closed. "Good. Because I wouldn't have done it anyways," he responded. Well, he had once but that was in his rookie year and had earned him the nickname "Crash" for a while, but yeah, he wasn't telling her that. Thankfully though, it hadn't been a nickname that stuck, though it was brought up on occasion. He then laughed again as she told him it was a nice try and that she doubted Mystic Falls was anything like New York. "I should hope it's not. I moved here for the peace and quiet," he stated. Well, as much of it as you could have in a town full of vampires and other creatures. But hey, he wasn't going to say that. He wasn't sure if she knew what was going in this town and if she didn't, he wasn't going to be the one to burst her bubble about small town life. Hey, he was new here so it wasn't his responsibility to let her in on the secret of Mystic Falls. Let someone else do that. He watched as she continued her climb, saying that she could have fooled him. "Uh, do I look like I'm wearing a blue suit and a red cape?" he questioned. Okay, am I going to have to call this in? he wondered. He hoped not, but if she continued like this, and he couldn't talk her down, he just might have to. Well, he'd continue to give it a shot. "Hey, come on. Get down---and not by jumping into the water," he stated. ----------------------- Chelcie knew that she should feel bad; Jesse was as innocent as they came, so why didn’t she feel guilty for tormenting him. There was something pleasurable that came from tormenting the good natured, Chelcie knew that it would be impossible to get him to do anything, at least without getting him drinking, but it was still fun to tease the man. Jesse probably knew this; Chelcie would hardly be the first, who took pleasure in his obvious discomfort at being teased.
She grinned when he deadpanned to her, that she didn’t look hurt. But she rolled her eyes, when Jesse told her that he wouldn’t have driven with his eyes closed. “It’s all cool dude even I wouldn’t drive with my eyes closed.” She had been joking before, although she wasn’t sure if Jesse had realized she was. The way he had joked with her about it, unsmiling, told her he was, but he was so innocent she thought it would be best to clarify.
“Right, sure of course why else would you move down here?” It was a friendly enough question, though there was a hint of suspicion inside her voice. Chelcie didn’t know a lot when it came to vampires or the supernatural creatures in general for that matter. But she did know all about Mystic Falls, she was hunting one particular vampire in fact, and the first time they had met, her questioning hadn’t gone well at all. “What’s Mystic Falls been like so far?” Chelcie thought she would try questioning Jesse again, working her way up to her probing gradually.
“Clark Kent then, but that’s basically the same thing.” Chelcie didn’t know how Jesse didn’t understand her Superman joke, though she soon realized that it would only be natural that he didn’t. She was hoping that by calling him by Superman’s secret identity that he would catch on.
She did decide to walk away from the ledge, only because Chelcie wondered that if she stayed there much longer, if Jesse innocent Jesse would have a heart attack, which was entirely possible. Instead she walked back over to him, “Calm down Clark Kent, I’m not going to do anything to frighten you.” She told him before asking, “So unless I’m mistaken you were going to let me have a look in your police database for the person that I’m looking for.” She stated. Jesse had said no such thing, but he was so sweet, Chelcie hoped that he was just as trusting.

-------------------------- -------------------------- He laughed as she assured him that even she wouldn't drive a car with her eyes closed. Apparently, she had thought that she had to clarify her statement, but it was totally unnecessary. Of course he didn't believe that she would actually drive a car with her eyes closed. "Good. Now I don't have to come up with a dorky nickname for you," he teased. And he would too. Of course she'd probably hate it, but wasn't that usually the way with nicknames? You always started out hating it but at least ended up tolerating it? But he wouldn't have to worry about that it seemed, which was good. He knew what it was like to have a nickname that you weren't too fond with. But then again, that didn't mean he wasn't as prone to do it as the next guy. Hey, he liked to joke around, though you didn't usually know that unless you were family or a really close friend of his. Then his grin grew as she asked why else he would move to Mystic Falls. "Well, it's certainly not for the night life," he joked. Well, not the regular night life that people thought about anyways. Of course he couldn't actually say that and he wouldn't. She'd probably think he was crazy if he did and he didn't want her to think that. Better to have her think that he was boring and a straight arrow than for her to think he was crazy. Then she asked him what the town had been like for him. "Pretty average, thankfully. A lot different from Queens---in a good way," he responded. Heck, it was a lot different from New York in general. A town like this, everyone knew everyone and their business and he had to admit, it was taking some getting used to. "How about you? How are you liking it here?" he wondered. Hey, he might as well turn things around on her and get her opinion on the place. And if he worded it right, he'd be able to find out just exactly what her occupation was. He shook his head as she called him Clark Kent. "Oh, I get it. You're calling me a straight arrow. You could've just said that. I wouldn't have been offended," he said with a grin. Cause seriously, he had been called worse. But that was okay. He didn't mind being called "Clark Kent" or "Superman" as it was certainly better than "Crash". So yeah, he'd accept the nickname. To his relief, she got down, calling him "Clark Kent", telling him that she wasn't going to do anything to frighten him. "Good. Cuz, uh, this isn't a comic where I would whip out my super powers to save you," he answered. "I mean, not that I wouldn't if I could---but reality," he said. Yeah, he needed to stop talking as he'd probably something stupid. Then, she changed the subject, saying that he had told her he'd let her have a look at his databases so that she could find the person, causing him to laugh. "Nice try, but no," he told her. Civilians weren't allowed to look at their databases and he had his own personal database that he didn't let anyone else see. His Supernatural database was his own thing and he didn't let that get out no way no how.
