------------------ ------------------ Katherine knocked back another shot at the bar and grabbed her drink. She headed for the billiard tables a small smile on her lips. It was almost like Mystic Falls grill but better. No familiar faces no one running back to Klaus blabbing about her existence.Good god she was hungry. She had not fed in quite a few days. Not normal for her and something she would work on fixing. She was just treading carefully in this town. She did not want to get the wrong kind of attention. After all this towns supply on alcohol was certainly helping take the edge off. She waded through the tables of the grill.
Katherine took a sip of her drink before setting it down on a small table near the empty billiard able. She went to work setting up the game. "Games are no fun alone." she said to herself as she racked the balls. Her dark brown eyes darted around the grill looking for someone to play with her.
Katherine wore a black pair of skinny jeans and a strapless blue top. Over it she wore a black leather jacket and of course she wore a pair of black patent heels. Girl loved to look good. Katherine liked the fact her style was so different then her doppelganger counter part. Someone needed to teach plain Jane about fashion. A sigh escaped her as turned to attain her pool stick. Katherine was hungry and she was trying to distract herself from it. She grabbed her stick and stopped to take another sip of her drink. Vodka tonic to be exact light on the tonic of course.
"Now who will play with me?" she muttered to herself scanning the room. She could play alone but that was no fun. She needed a good distraction after all. Not only because she was hungry but after her run in with one of her sworn enemy's little hybrids. She had to get her mind of the thought of being found out. Could she just get a night off.

----------------------- ----------------------- It seemed like Connor had nothing to do today, he was at the boarding house but still no sign of Buffy. He was starting to think the woman was avoiding him, well didn't want to meet him since she hadn't seen him yet. He just wanted to talk to her, see what she was like but it didn't seem like that was going to happen anytime soon and that actually upset him. He didn't want to think too much about it though, he just had to focus on something else. He had a good time with Willow when he went to Pete's Bar and Grill so maybe that should be somewhere he should go again. It was night time and it wasn't really the time to eat so it was probably weird and he could have gone somewhere else like the library but he wasn't really in the mood for that or anywhere else for that mater.
Connor wasn't even able to drink since it wasn't legal, he still didn't understand that but wasn't going to go on a rant about it. He didn't want to be bored there though, so he brought a book to read. It was probably odd of him to go to a public and noisy place to read but he could tune out the voices when he got into his book. Besides, the grill was his new place to hang out and he would be going there more. He would get himself a snack and just enjoy his time out. He needed to relax anyway, the man felt on edge for some reason and he didn't know why, maybe it was school or just life in general. He would try and figure it out somehow.
He arrived at the grill and sat down at a table and ordered some fries when the waiter came by. He was finally set, he would have his fries and just enjoy his book in peace...well sort of in peace, it was pretty noisy tonight. Connor was probably the only nineteen year old who was reading at a bar and grill on a weekend night. Others would be having their fake ID and getting drinks or partying at some house, but here he was not really doing much. It was who he was though, he much rather be alone than with a group of people, but friends were nice to have sometimes when he needed it, but tonight was definitely one of those nights where he had to think.
Connor looked around the room noticing how truly busy it was and just shook his head but smiled when his fries came. He said thank you to the waiter and put a french fry in his mouth. He then opened his book to the page he was previously on and started reading, often putting a french fry in his mouth trying to multi-task which was sort of working. The man sighed a bit and tried to get into his book hopefully tuning out the crowd that was in this room.

------------------ ------------------ Katherine brown eyes finally landed on a guy who interested her. He was obviously here alone. Katherine had spotted a few others that intrigued her. But people in groups were always harder to coax into a one on one pool game. Katherine took another sip of her drink and set the poll stick aside. She clutched her drink to her chest her eyes focusing in on the guy by himself reading. She crinkled her nose mulling over how to approach him. Then just shrugged her shoulders and strutted over to him. He was cute she had to admit that. She did have a weakness for men with bright eyes.
Katherine approached his table and sat down across from him without and invitation. She set her drink down on the table and smiled a him. "Hi, I'm Katherine." she said simply. A large smirk on her lips. "I hope you don't mind." she said noting the seat she had taken. "It seems to be a bit busy here and not to many available seats." she said moving to lean forward her arms on the table.
Katherine knew their was a chance he would be offended and tell her to leave. He did look like the loner type coming to a public place just to be alone and read. But if he really wanted to be alone their were other places to be quieter. At least she assumed so she was still getting to know the town. Technically she was still new in town.
Katherine tilted her head to he side. "So indulge me. What is your name?" she asked smiling at him. She knew she was being rather forward with this stranger but Katherine wanted an opponent for her billiard game. She was never one to be subtle unless she absolutely had to. Besides she could always just compel someone but that seemed to take the fun out it.

----------------------- ----------------------- The man zoned into his book and tried to tune out the laughter and chatter, he tried his best but the people were so damn loud. He sighed and shook his head. He really couldn't complain though since he was the one that picked this place to read at. He was actually thinking about leaving but not because of the loudness of the place but rather since it was a busy night and he wasn't really used to so much people in one place, which didn't make a lot of sense since he was in university...and there were a lot of people there, they were spread out though. The man was about to get up until he noticed a woman who seemed to be walking towards him.
He wasn't going to make assumptions and assume she was walking towards him but just in case he sat there and read his book. He heard her cup go on the table and he looked up with a smile as she introduced herself, she was definitely an assertive one. "I don't mind at all actually," he told her with a grin on his face. He looked around he busy place and noticed that there weren't too many seats available. "So out of the few seats left you decide to sit here?" He asked the woman with a smile on his face. It seemed as if she was interested in him, that or just bored out of her mind.
He set his book down and closed it but before doing so folding the corner of the page to remember his spot. The girl was proving to be quite a character right now and it was kind of refreshing to see someone who seemed to know what they wanted, well that was what he was reading into right into right now, he didn't really know her well but he was pretty curious. There was definitely something about her that made the man intrigued in her. "Connor," he said as he put out his hand to shake her's if she chose to.
"And what brings you here? A need of entertainment? Flirting? Both?" He asked the woman wondering why she was here alone but then again so was he. She was definitely a pretty one also, prettier than most, gorgeous actually she he didn't mind talking to her. Besides, he needed the entertainment as well and it wasn't like his book was doing him justice in this place.

------------------ ------------------ Katherine smile brightened as he welcomed her to his table. She bite her lip as she perked up a little in her seat. It was always nice to be welcomed by someone. "I saw you alone and thought it was just wrong a handsome guy like yourself was alone." she said placing her elbow on the table and leaning her face on her had. "So I decided to fix that." she said smirking at him. She was happy he had not turned her away and rejected her. It was rather refreshing.
Katherine watched him close his book and give her his full attention. Her smile grew as he introduced himself. "Nice to meet you Connor." she said moving to shake his hand. Such gestures and polite action were so scarce now a days.
Katherine tilted her head to the side as he spoke. She liked his questions he certainly had her intrigue. She was glad she had spotted him already. "Both, honestly." she said with a small smile her dark eyes focused in on his blue. God when she was human she remembered how she thought those with blue eyes were a sign of innocence no villains or people of ill intentions had blue eyes. But she knew much better of that now. She was no longer human and had years of wisdom. "I needed to get out and found myself here...alone." she shrugged her shoulders. "I saw you and figured why not!" she said with a wink.
Katherine glanced over her shoulder at the billiards table. "I have a game of pool set up it you want to play?" she offered before picking up her drink and taking a sip of it. "It's not really a game one plays alone." she said softly. 'No pressure though I'm happy enough sitting her with my drink getting to know you. Connor." she said liking the way his name sounded.

----------------------- ----------------------- He watched the woman as she bit his lip and he just smiled, she was actually pretty cute and he could tell that she was confident in her appearance which made her look better. Connor wasn't hating on shy girls or anything, but a confident was so much better as the man didn't have to constantly tell the girl she was beautiful, if she knew it hen he could just say it often and plus the girl wouldn't be insecure. He probably sounded like some jerk but if a girl was insecure he'd help the best that he could to boost their confidence or to make them see themselves as a better person. Everyone deserved to be happy. "Why thanks, my night did get better when a pretty girl like you came," he said with a smile on his face. "But you probably already knew that."
He was enjoying the conversation so far, she was a nice girl and definitely made an entrance so she definitely had his full attention. He wanted to get to know her, she seemed a bit mysterious and he liked that about her. The man crossed his arms and leaned into the table as she spoke, he liked her answer...it was different than what most people would say to why they were here. "Interesting," he said with a grin on his lips. He was intrigued to say the least, he wondered what else he could find out.
"Well Katherine, I'm flattered," he said flirting with the woman a bit. It seemed as if she threw the hook and baited him, now she had caught him as cheesy as that may sound but she definitely got the guy interested into knowing her story. "Sure, why not," he said with a smile and took out his hand so the girl could get up. Connor had been brought up to be polite and escort a lady no matter what the situation, he wasn't going to be rude. Plus he had his father's genes in him and he had the charm. "If you win it's not because I'm bad, it's because I let you win," he said jokingly. He was horrible at pool but hey he could have some fun right? And he wasn't some man who needed to win against a girl, women deserved to be treated equally as mean.
