----------------------- ----------------------- She blinked and smiled sadly at Jesse as he held her hand, “Thank you. Everyone keeps telling me he’ll come back but I don’t believe it. Its been almost six months. He’s not coming back. If he was he would have called or texted or something.” She said as she exhaled.
Laughing softly, Marina continued to look down at the ground “Thank you for that, Jesse. It really helps.” She said as she glanced over at him. He seemed like a genuinely nice guy. A rarity but still someone she liked to hang around. Better than Chris at any rate.
“You’ve been really great. Its nice to have a friend in this town. I think most of my old ones probably hate me.” She said sadly, as she looked anywhere but into his face. She felt guilty for everything even though it took two to fight and she knew it. She was always that way and people took advantage of it. It rather pissed her off if truth be told. She didn’t like being taken advantage of at all.
“I’m just not sure what to do with any of it.” She mumbled aimlessly, “I mess everything up. My parents shouldn’t have had me turned they just should have let me die. It would have been better for everyone.” She sighed and shook her head as she bit her lip and tried to walk to her car, “It’s the purple beamer.” She handed him the keys so he could drive, in the darkness only a hint of the dark purple showed and she smiled as she waited for him to unlock the car.

-------------------------- -------------------------- Jesse smiled back at Marina as she blinked and smiled back at him, thanking him and saying that everyone kept telling her that he'd come back but she didn't think that he would as it had been six months and if he was coming back he would've called or texted. She has a point, he thought to himself. If Chris had plans to come back to Mystic Falls, he would've contacted her in some form. "I don't care if he is a friend. He's an ass," he stated, his eyes clouding as he watched her trying to compose herself. Yeah Chris was definitely an ass for treating her like this. She didn't deserve. Heck, no one did. What was Chris thinking? Or did it perhaps mean something else? Chris wasn't one to just take off without a word. Had something happened to him? Man, he hated not knowing! He shook the concern off as she laughed a bit and thanked him for his his joke, saying that it helped. "Anytime," he promised. And it was true. He'd do whatever he could to lift her spirits up. And hey, listening to bad jokoes was way better than drinking yourself to oblivion, right? Or maybe that was just him. Okay, he had to stop right there as he wasn't making any sense and he was the sober one. Which meant that things were pretty bad. Well, sort of. His eyes then clouded even more with concern as she said that he had been great and that it was nice to have a friend in town as a lot of her old friends probably hated her. "I'm sure that's not true," he murmured. I hate that she feels this way, he thought to himself. However, there wasn't a whole lot that he could do to help her as he had no idea what the situation between her and her friends was like and he wasn't going to ask as that'd be prying and it was none of his business. The officer stayed silent as she admitted that she wasn't really sure what do with everything that was going on, saying that she just messed everything up, and that her parents should've just let her die instead of turning her as it would've been better for everybody. "I'm sure that's not true. If you had died, we never would've met," he pointed out. "And if we had never met, we wouldn't get a chance to know one another," he added. He hated that she was feeling so down on herself. No one should be made to feel the way Marina was feeling. However, he wasn't sure what he could do about it. When she said that her car was a purple Beemer, he nodded and walked into he found the car in question. She then gave him the keys and he got into the car, put the keys in the ignition, started the car, and drove off.
