- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -Tired hazel eyes stared at herself in the mirror as she attempted to figure out why she looked so exhausted. Her eyes were bloodshot, there were bags under her eyes and her face looked thin and worn out. She didn’t know what her deal was since things had finally settled down now that Angel was back in town and she wasn’t constantly worried…and yet still there was something that was causing her to lose sleep at night and she couldn’t figure out what it was. She had spoken to Willow about it and Willow had asked her if she was having nightmares but the blonde slayer couldn’t remember if she was having them or not.
Turning away from the mirror she slid her pewter cross necklace around her neck and slid her claddagh ring in its rightful place on her ring finger before toweling out her hair and allowing the air to dry it while she got dressed. Luckily she didn't have to work today though she did have a few errands to run before patrol tonight so she slid on a pair of black skinny jeans paired with a silver draped neck capped sleeve shirt. Along with the skinny jeans she pulled on a pair of knee high black boots, knowing that while it was the beginning of summer and she really should dress more weather appropriate, she also needed to dress patrol appropriate as well.
She went back into the bathroom once she was dressed and tackled her face, putting more makeup on than usual to hide the bags under her eyes and the paleness of her skin. If she wouldn't know any better she'd think she was sick but for the most part her immune system kept her from getting ill except for the one time she had gotten the flu back in Sunnydale...a time that she really didn't want to think about.
Once her makeup and hair was done she walked out of her room and out the door, being as quiet as possible. It was actually fairly late in the morning however there were two sleeping vampires downstairs and more than likely one sleeping werewolf as well so she didn’t want to disturb anyone. This also had to do with the fact that she didn’t want to answer anyone’s questions on why she was up and about so late and why she looked like death warmed over.

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -School was a nightmare...that was all that was going through Elena's mind as she walked towards her car after being at school all day. Usually she liked school however since she had taken a few summer courses that were college credit (really to be out of the house and take her mind off of things more than actually wanting college credits) she was slightly more stressed than with her usual high school courses. Once at her car she quickly threw her messenger bag in the passenger seat and got the hell out of dodge…i.e. out of Richmond University’s parking lot which was where she had been taking college credit classes over the summer two days a week.
She started driving towards her home but decided at the last minute that she didn’t feel like going home right at the moment. Lexi had told her that she was going to try and talk to Stefan today as she wanted to try a few things now that she was back in town after going to get some information on Elijah and Klaus from Sophia’s things in England so Lexi and Stefan were tied up and she assumed Damon would be there too. Bonnie and Jeremy were on a date and she hadn’t really spoken to Caroline a lot lately so she had no idea what to do with herself however she knew that she didn’t want to go home nor did she really want to stay in Mystic Falls. She quickly made her way towards Wickery Bridge, cringing as she always did as she drove over it quickly before heading into Richmond, parking at the falls which bordered Mystic Falls.
She simply stared at her town for a moment…it seemed so quaint and peaceful on the outside looking in and yet it was filled with monsters, vampires and all kinds of other things. She needed to talk to someone who was impartial to see if what she was feeling was really what she was feeling and why but she couldn’t think of anyone who was truly impartial…
Until a certain blonde haired woman came to mind…and no it wasn’t Lexi. She picked up her phone and quickly shot Buffy a text message asking if she’d meet her at the Richmond Falls before receiving a reply back telling her she’d be there in ten minutes. A breath of relief flooded through her…maybe she’d get some answers to her questions.

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -Once in her car she let out a sigh of relief. She had definitely needed some time away from everyone. She loved her friends, loved her boyfriend and loved everyone around her, but she was also a very independent person these days and she needed some space to go over things in her head. It was difficult to analyze her own life these days without having more than one person weighing in, not that any of them knew the true thoughts going around in her brain but they still tried to help and it really didn’t work well when again, they didn’t know what was going on.
Unfortunately it didn't look like today was going to be any better as before she had even made it into the first shop she was headed to (which was Pathways, a magic shop that she had frequented after learning that the owner, Julie, was a friend of Giles') she received a text message from Elena asking her to meet up. She really did think about turning the brunette down however something about the tone of her text message (if that made any sense) alerted the blonde that she needed to talk so she had quickly responded that she would be there in ten minutes and sent a wave to Julie (who had seen her pull in) before driving towards the Falls where she spotted Elena’s car.
The older girl stepped out of her car and made her way towards Elena who was standing on the edge looking at Mystic Falls. "Hey stranger." She told her with a smile, though her eyes more than likely couldn't hide her exhaustion. "You okay?" She asked, trying to make sure on a physical level that the younger girl was alright. She didn’t seem injured but Buffy knew better than anyone that injuries were more often than not emotional or mental…and the physical ones were the easier ones.
When Elena responded that she was alright the blonde then quirked an eyebrow and motioned to the picnic table that was a few feet away. “Let’s sit down and then you can tell me what’s going on.” She told her and did just that, sitting on one side of the picnic table and letting Elena have the side that looked over Mystic Falls. For some reason it seemed important to her so Buffy simply went with it. “Alright, so what’s going on?”

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She was grateful that it didn’t take Buffy long to get there as she hadn’t wanted to be left alone with her thoughts for very long. She knew that it would be difficult to talk to basically a complete stranger about the things that had been going on in her life but she also knew that this is what she needed. All of her friends were biased one way or another. Caroline and Lexi were biased in the way that they wanted her and Stefan to work things out, while Jeremy, Matt, and Bonnie all pretty much said that he had messed up too badly and they didn’t want her taking him back.
Not that it was really anything that anyone else could weigh in on as she and Stefan were already back together and that was what she wanted. However there was still a small part of her that needed to get her fear, anger, worry, and every other emotion that she was feeling out in the open and to do that she needed someone who wouldn’t agree with her or disagree with her, basically she just needed someone to listen. Hell if her problems weren’t so damn supernatural related she would have gone to a therapist.
On second thought no she wouldn’t, but at least she could admit that she probably needed one after all that she had gone through over the past few years.
“Hey…thanks for meeting me.” She told her with a smile, though it faded when she saw how exhausted the other woman looked. “I’m okay, are you?” She asked, trying to figure out what was going on in the blonde’s head. She looked tired, and just worn down. She didn’t know what she could do to offer the other girl some comfort but she felt as if she needed it. Maybe she wasn’t the only one who wanted or better yet needed to talk.
She sat down across the picnic table from Buffy, glad that she was still able to see her hometown from where she sat. For some reason she felt as if she needed to keep an eye on it, to see if she could possibly see the monsters that she knew were lurking beneath the ideal of the quaint town. “I told you the last time we saw each other that Stefan and Damon both had their humanity turned off right?” She asked, and received a nod in reply. “Well, Lexi and I…we were able to get them to turn them back on…so they’re both back in town.” She told her, waiting to hear the questions she knew would be asked.

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -The wind picked up around her, letting a cool breeze from the waterfalls behind them flow and the blonde slayer could feel goose bumps rising along her skin. She more than likely should have brought a light jacket since here in the shade along the water’s edge it was a little chilly but she knew she would have looked ridiculous in the middle of the summer walking along with a jacket. Not that she often adhered to what was in season since she often mixed and matched after living in California for so long but still, she did wish she had brought a jacket.
She made a mental note to stop home before patrol if she had time and then pushed the cold away from her, focusing on the young brunette sitting in front of her. Elena reminded her in a way of Cordelia, but just in looks really. She had the long brown hair that Cordelia had back in high school and a similar body type, though Cordelia was a little bit curvier than Elena…however they were both tall and statuesque…and Buffy was more than a little jealous. She liked her body type and her hair color and such but she could easily admit that there were times she would have loved to be a couple inches taller.
A soft smile appeared on her face and she nodded. “I’m fine…I’m more interested in hearing about what’s going on with you. You seemed like you really needed to talk…so what’s going on?” She asked her curiously, though there was an undertone of worry in her voice that she couldn’t seem to hide from the other girl. She knew that being one of the few humans to actually date a vampire was hard so the blonde slayer had made a vow to herself to help the other girl in any way possible. After all, what could she have gone through that Buffy hadn’t already dealt with?
Her hair moved in front of her face as she nodded but she pushed it back before it could become a hindrance. "Yes, I remember you telling me a little bit about it though I think it was more in text messages than anything else. I remember you sending me a text asking me to watch Mystic Falls while you were gone." She replied though the next part of her statement had the older girl quirk an eyebrow. "And how did that work out?" She asked curiously. She knew that Damon and Stefan were different types of vampires than Angel, so their humanity was different than his soul, however she couldn’t imagine how they had gotten them to turn their humanity back on.

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She noticed that the older girl stared off into space a lot but Elena could understand why. She often did the same thing when she was lost in thought though lately it seemed as if she was always around at least one other person so she hadn’t been able to really think things through. It was one of the reasons that she had wanted to meet up with the blonde seated in front of her as she knew that if anyone could understand it was her. The two had talked a little about their different situations with their vampire boyfriends and while they hadn’t gone in-depth something told her that they had a lot of the same similarities.
“Well…it’s a long story if you’re okay with that? Lexi tracked them to Las Vegas. How she did it I really don’t know as I was hanging out with a couple friends and she showed up and told me she knew where they were and that we had to get on a plane.” She told her with a roll of her dark brown eyes. “So we get to Vegas and Lexi immediately drags me to a hair salon where she tells the hair stylist to put red streaks in my hair and to curl it. She then leaves to go with another stylist and comes back with brown hair. After this is done she informs me that we’re doing this so they don’t recognize us on site.” She stated, her words showing how annoyed she was.
She hadn’t been a huge fan of the streaks in her hair nor having it curled. She felt too much like Katherine and that wasn’t a look that she liked. She used to curl her hair every once in awhile but after meeting her ancestor it had become something she only did if forced.
“Anyway so we then get dressed in outfits that weren’t anything close to what we’d usually wear, well, anything close to what I’d wear, Lexi will wear anything. So we ended up walking through a casino and there were the boys having a bit too much fun.” She told her bitterly, upset about both the girls and the murders. She knew she had to be careful with what she told the other girl since she was a vampire slayer and it was her duty to kill vampires who hurt people…but she also knew that Buffy was open minded and understood…at least she hoped she did. “So anyway, Stefan and Lexi fought, and Damon’s ex girlfriend showed up as a ghost and talked him into turning his back on while Lexi knocked Stefan out and we brought them home. You with me so far?” She asked with a laugh.

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She listened quietly as Elena spoke, knowing that the younger girl just needed to get whatever she had to say off her chest. She remembered that feeling, remembered it all too well. There were two instances that came to mind when she thought about things weighing her down to the point of breaking, things that she wanted to tell someone but she had no idea who. She could easily see the same desperation in Elena’s eyes that she had often seen in her own staring back at her in the mirror and knew that she wanted someone there for her at the time, so she would be there for Elena.
The first time was after she had sent Angel to hell. After she had come home and had been admitted back into school. Giles was asking questions about Acathla and she was trying as best as she could not to break down. Angel was cured. When I killed him, Angel was cured. Your spell worked at the last minute, Will. I was about to take him out, and, um... something went through him...and he was Angel again. He-he didn't remember anything that he'd done. He just held me. Um, but i-it was...it was too late, and I, I had to. So I, I told him that I loved him...and I kissed him...and I killed him. I don't know if that helps with your spell or not, Giles. It's okay. I've been holding on to that for so long. Felt good to get it out.
The last time she clearly remembered was after she had been brought back from Heaven. Everyone kept speaking about bringing her back from a hell dimension and she had felt like she would scream at the injustice of it all and finally Spike trying to get her to open up made her break down and tell someone. I was happy. Wherever I...was...I was happy. At peace. I knew that everyone I cared about was alright. I knew it. Time...didn't mean anything...nothing had form...but I was still me, you know? And I was warm...and I was loved...and I was finished. Complete. I don't understand about theology or dimensions, or...any of it really...but I think I was in heaven. And now I'm not. I was torn out of there. Pulled out...by my friends. They can never know.
She knew how seemingly having no one to depend on felt and she never wanted someone else to go through that, hence her silence as Elena talked about whatever it was that she wanted to speak about. “I’m still with you.” She stated, placing her hand gently over Elena’s and giving it a squeeze. “You don’t have to worry about me using any of this against you. I promise I won’t. Just keep talking.” She told her while releasing her and giving her her full attention.

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She smiled and squeezed the older girl’s hand back before allowing her to release it. She was more grateful than she could even begin to describe that she had someone to talk to that was unbiased as much as possible at least. She was sure that a part of Buffy was biased being that she was the vampire slayer so hearing that Stefan and Damon had gone on a murdering spree and she hadn’t done anything to stop it she was sure didn’t sit well with the other girl, it didn’t sit well with Elena either but unfortunately she was selfish enough to do anything to protect Stefan because she loved him and didn’t want to lose him.
“I guess I should explain that Damon’s girlfriend at the time, Sophia, she had recently died and yet had forced her way back as a ghost to help him get over her death. Her death was the reason that he turned his humanity off in the first place and she knew that without her we would never be able to force his back on. So she didn’t move on until he had turned his back on, which Lexi and I were both more than grateful for. Dealing with one Salvatore brother being a jackass is one thing, but dealing with both of them is nearly impossible.” She told her with a bitter laugh, remembering Stefan and Damon ganging up on both of them, especially since she had wanted to do it by herself and had switched Lexi’s daylight jewelry without asking her. It wasn’t important to tell Buffy that though so she refrained, not wanting to get into it.
“Anyway once we got back to Mystic Falls, Lexi had a pilot friend who had taken us on his jet so that if Stefan woke up we wouldn’t put a whole plane of people in jeopardy. Underneath the town in the caves there is an old jail cell that belonged to a friend of mine’s family. Lexi chained Stefan up in there and left him in there. I left and went and got changed and grabbed several parts for our plan. Lexi and I had come up with this plan weeks before hand but we weren’t completely ready. Unfortunately Damon flipping his switch and the two heading to Vegas sort of pushed it forward.” She continued, her eyes glassy, and it was clear that she wasn’t seeing the girl in front of her. No, she was seeing the past in her mind’s eye.
“I got back and I had to sit there and watch Lexi torture Stefan. It was brutal…” She stated and trailed off when it was clear Buffy wanted to ask a question. “Go ahead and ask.” She told her with a laugh, assuming she wanted to ask why Lexi as Stefan’s best friend would torture him.

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She was glad that she was able to be there for the younger girl because again, she knew what it was like to feel as if she didn't have anyone. She remembered the brunette telling her about her friends and from what she remembered it seemed as if none of them would be able to be unbiased. She knew from Damon that he and his brother didn't get along, meaning that he would be against the two of them and yet most of her friends were for Elena and Stefan. Buffy on the other hand could be completely unbiased, at least as much as possible with how opinionated the blonde woman was.
She remembered Damon speaking about Sophia though she hadn’t known that she died. She remembered him telling her that Sophia was very old so it concerned her that there was something in this town that could kill a vampire as old as she was without her hearing about it. She knew it hadn’t been one of her girls as they would have told her, hell they usually told her about anything that they killed, and if they didn’t…then the watchers would. It was something that they had all started doing lately that was actually good to know as she was aware of what to look out for.
She heard the bitter laugh coming from the younger girl and wasn't surprised by it. She didn't know two brothers but she did know how bad it would be with Angelus and Spike without his soul...she had seen it before. At least when Angelus was running around in Sunnydale, Spike had been in a wheel chair. It was also nice that the two never got along so Spike actually ended up helping her in the end, or at least pretending to until he got Drusilla out. Either way she didn't even want to think about the destruction that Angelus and Spike could cause if they teamed up together. So she definitely felt for Elena in that respect.
Her eyes widened when she heard about Stefan’s best friend torturing him and she couldn’t stop herself from intervening in the conversation and needing to know more. “Wait a minute, you said that Lexi was Stefan’s best friend right? So why would she want to torture him? Also how would that do anything? I mean from my perspective and from knowing what I do, I would think that the more demonic demons or vampires wouldn’t really mind the torture…so how did that help?” She asked curiously, not being able to see it play out in her head and needing to know more.

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She smiled a smile, though it was a sad smile, full of anguish. The memory of Stefan trying to trick her into getting Lexi to let him go still reverberated through her mind. She remembered the feeling of wanting so badly to tell Lexi to stop hurting him and yet she had to trust the other woman, a woman who wasn’t her yet seemed to know her boyfriend better than anyone. She had to trust that she knew what she was doing and that in the end she would have the love of her life back in her arms. It had taken everything in her, every bit of strength, to stand by and allow it to happen.
“When vampires turn their humanity off, it turns their emotions off as well. Meaning they can’t feel anger or love or pain. So instead of begging and pleading for him to feel something, Lexi learned a long time ago that forcing them to feel something was the best way to get them to flip the switch, whether they wanted to or not. Pain is the easiest emotion to feel for a vampire because everything is heightened according to Lexi and that’s how she gets him to open up, she makes him feel pain.” She stated, remembering a similar conversation with Lexi where she had asked all the same questions.
“Lexi and Stefan have known each other for over 140 years give or take a year. She’s been the one there beside him bringing him back from the edge every time he’s gone over. So I had to trust that she knew what she was doing and trust me when I say it wasn’t easy. I hated watching her hurt him and I hated him screaming for me to help but knowing I couldn’t do anything.” She stated with a sad smile.
“After he started feeling pain, it was time for the next plan of attack so to speak.” She told her. “Lexi and I knew that just making him feel pain wasn’t enough…at least not physical pain. You said it, physical pain isn’t everything, but emotional pain can break you. Stefan was compelled to protect me and while he may not have liked me very much without his humanity, there was still a part of him who wanted to protect me. So Lexi pretended to compel me and I stabbed myself in the stomach, and forced Stefan to watch.” She stated, waiting for a reaction she was sure she was going to get.

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -Alright, that was it. She definitely needed to get some more information on the differences between the vampires that she had spent way too long hunting and those that she seemed to be around these days. She had gotten a little bit of information from Damon and now was getting a little bit more from Elena however she knew better than most that there was always more information buried down deeper. She pulled out her cell phone underneath the table and from memory quickly shot herself a text message reminding her. She would forget in two seconds flat if she didn't remind herself.
Mental notes were only as good as the paper they were written on…I.E. none at all.
It made sense that when someone was numb to anything the first feeling they felt was pain. She remembered the numb feeling more than once, Angel leaving and coming back from heaven were two of the most prominent in her mind and she remembered quite easily that the pain, both physical and emotional, were the first feelings to come back after she came out of the numbness and shock that she had felt for so long after both losing Angel and being ripped out of heaven by her friends.
She could easily understand the feelings that she could see coursing through Elena. It hurt her to have someone else help the person that she loved. Buffy knew that better than anyone. She hated that Cordelia and Angel were close now and more than anything wanted to break up that friendship. The selfish part of her screamed to do so and to make it so that she was the only thing that mattered in Angel's world just as she had been back in Sunnydale. She wouldn't do it but there was a large part of her that wanted to.
Se quirked an eyebrow though she didn't show her surprise on her face. She and Elena were a lot more alike than she had originally thought. She would have done the same thing. Smiling in acknowledgement she pulled her hair back and showed Elena the bite mark on her neck. "I forced my lover to drink from me when he was poisoned. I understand why you did it and you'll never hear me say anything about it being risky, especially since you had someone there to protect you in case it didn't work." She told her softly.

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -Elena clearly did not have as good of a poker face as Buffy did as her eyes shot open wider at the mark on the older girl’s neck. Not that it surprised her really because hadn’t she done the same thing for Stefan? She could easily remember arguing about Stefan needing human blood and her not understanding why he needed it. Surprisingly enough it was Damon’s words that had gotten through to her about him needing the strength to do so. Maybe it was because Damon was never rational and yet his words made her realize that she was the one being irrational.
Hey, Stefan didn’t drink the people blood, if you were curious, but he needs to and deep down you know that.
He was right…she had known it. She hadn’t wanted to admit it but she knew that Stefan was weaker than most vampires because of his refusal to touch human blood. She had only seen him on it one other time and that was when she had forced it on him.
You can come in.
Do you really think that you can control it?
I don't know but if I don't try...
So a little bit every day?
Yeah, just a few drops of blood in my system. I think it's worth trying.
So do I, but I don't want you to do it alone.
The feeling of the knife against her hand was still vivid in her memory and so was the look on his face as she cut open her hand and let the blood pool into it.
What are you doing?
It's you and me, Stefan. Always
“Stefan…he’s…well he can’t handle human blood obviously.” She stated with a rueful expression. “We came up with an idea, well, he came up with the idea…that a few drops of human blood in his system would help him build up a tolerance. I made him drink mine. I didn’t ever let him bite my neck but I did give him my blood so I know what you mean.” She told her candidly before continuing with her story. “Anyway, I fell to the ground and Stefan started screaming at Lexi to let him out. She didn’t until she could see his eyes clear up and the desperation as he begged me to hold on and cursed Lexi at the same time. She finally let him go and he fed me his blood in order to heal me.” She stated, finishing the short version of what had happened to bring Stefan back.

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -The wind picked up around her and she felt a small shiver go up her arms. Again, she should have worn a jacket. She often wore one even in the summer to go on patrol since between fighting and rolling around on the ground during a fight she often got scratches on her arms and more than once she had to pull a splinter out of her arm after it had already healed thanks to twigs and the like from the ground. It was more annoying than it was painful but she still tried to avoid it if she could.
She could tell the other girl was deep inside her memories and she could easily understand the feeling. She knew how it felt to have things in your past that you couldn't seem to get away from no matter how hard you tried. It wasn't the best feeling in the world, especially if the memories weren't pleasant. She often found herself obsessing over things that happened in the past and as much as she tried to avoid it there were some memories that snuck up on her when she least expected them. She tried to hide it but they were always there.
Elena's voice broke her out of her thoughts and she listened intently, not really knowing what to say at first since she didn't know any vampires who couldn't handle human blood. She made a mental note to question her about that before continuing on listening, waiting until she was finished. When Elena stopped to take a breath the blonde slayer raised one eyebrow. "Okay, so as you and I both know we are both used to dealing with different types of vampires." She stated and waited for her nod in response. Once she had it she organized her thoughts before continuing.
"You said that Stefan couldn't deal with human blood. I know you said that he sort of lost it when he had his humanity turned off but what exactly do you mean by not handling human blood? I've seen vampires drink a mixture of human and animal but I've never known one not to be able to handle different types." She stated off handedly before continuing. "And how exactly did Stefan's blood heal you?" She asked curiously, never having encountered that either. She knew eventually the tables would be turned and Elena would quiz her over her life but for now she was content learning about the younger girls, knowing the two had much more in common than they thought.

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She thought for a moment, thinking of how to explain it. From what she had learned from a combination of Damon, Lexi, Caroline and albeit reluctantly Katherine, she knew that Stefan’s situation was vastly different than most. Sure as far as she knew most vampires preferred the taste of human blood to animal blood. Actually she didn’t know any other vampire besides Stefan that actually drank animal blood however she didn’t know if that was because of the taste or because from what she had learned it made the drinker weaker than a normal vampire since it was not their normal food source.
“Stefan was a terror when he was first turned.” She stated bluntly. “I won’t tell you how whole life story as that’s his decision to tell you, not mine. However the long story short was that he and Damon were turned by the same person and without their permission. Once they were in transition they both agreed to let themselves die as neither of them wanted to be a vampire.” She stated, not adding anything about Katherine and her tricks into her story. That was for Stefan or Damon to tell, and really she didn’t want to explain what a woman looking like her was doing walking around as a vampire. It was too weird and more than a little creepy.
“Stefan went to say goodbye to his father only to get into a fight and when his father bleed he hadn’t been able to help himself. He ended up killing his father. Once he did that he quickly flipped off the switch to his humanity, not wanting to feel the guilt and then forced Damon to turn.” She continued, knowing how big of a point of contention this particular piece of history was for the two brothers.
“Anyway after that Damon and Stefan fought all the time and Stefan just continued to live without his humanity which made him a terror in every sense of the word.” She stated with a shake of her head, remembering the stories that she had heard straight from Stefan’s mouth. “It wasn’t until Lexi found him and pretty much forced her way into his life and started dictating his life that he started turning his emotions back on. I think that’s part of the reason that he’s such a sweet guy because he knows how bad things can get and he never wanted to be that way again.” She stated, smiling fondly at the thought of her boyfriend.

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -The blonde woman smiled sadly at the brunette seated across from her. She could tell the story was memorized and she nodded when she stated that she wouldn’t tell her the entire story due to it being her boyfriend's to tell. Buffy could understand that being that she felt the same way about Angel's. The difference was that Buffy knew that Angel wouldn’t mind his story being told since there were more than a few books written about the Scourge of Europe as Angelus had been nicknamed, along with the demon with an angel’s face. Either way she knew that Angel wouldn’t mind…where as it looked like Elena was unsure if Stefan would or not.
She nodded as she listened, her blonde hair falling into her face though she pushed it behind her ear with an impatient sigh. She rarely wore her hair up unless she was patrolling or cleaning or something else where she knew it would get into her face. It was one of the reasons that she rarely had a pony tail holder with her though she was starting to think that maybe she should leave one in her purse for times like these. Either way it didn’t matter since she didn’t have one at the current moment.
She had heard from Damon a short version of how a woman had turned both him and his brother however she had been under the impression that Damon had brought his little brother for the ride, not the other way around. She would definitely be quizzing the dark haired vampire on that the next time she saw him however she kept quiet and continued to listen, knowing better than most that if a story such as this was interrupted it was likely it would never be told in its entirety.
"Sounds like Lexi is a good person to have around." She stated idly before thinking for a moment. "We have a lot more in common than I originally thought and it seems like the men we are in love with are really similar as well. I'd say let's set those two in a room and make them talk it out but Angel might kick my ass if I make him talk so how about I tell you Angel's story...at least some of it. I think Angel might actually be good for Stefan to talk to but you know him better than I do." She stated, and waited for the younger girl to respond.
