------------------ [/b] ------------------[/b] There was a nest near by. They were all over the news. Running around, eating people, shifting. Doing whatever it was they did. Having just destroyed a nest of vampires not long ago, her demon persona should still work. Or so she hoped. Word had gotten around of her coming here to town. No one knew her, or her name of course. They just knew of a tinny little demon possessing a young girl, who took out a nest of vampires for not doing business with her. Some of the things she hunted had up and left town once word of what she had done reached their ears. Some left because Sam and Dean were in the area, though Annie was pretty sure they left.
They never stay for very long. The job they came for, done. So why stick around? They would move on. She'd take care of the rest. Or so she hoped. But that's besides the point. She had her run in with Sam, lucky her she has yet to meet Dean, and she hopes she never will. She just had one or two more jobs in this town, then and only then could she be on her way. She needed to get this one done pretty quickly. In and out. But with her big show for the vampires, and the show down with Sam, she lost some pretty important items.
So she'd need to replace them before she went out and meet with the shifters, they would be a much harder crowd to please. Or frighten off. Whichever. She did not know her way around this tinny town very well, but she manged to hear about this store, some wiccan store. She was not sure it would have everything she needed, but at the very least it would give her a connection. Shoot, you never know when you might need yourself a witch. Anyway she could always use some herbs. That's how her parents taught her to treat her wounds and ailments. With herbs, not so much modern medicine. She did not really know any spells, but if it came down to it, she was sure she could whip up a little something if needed. It was not all smoke and mirrors down in the cave.
Ugh at the very least she could pose as a what do they call them? Psychic? Her little mind was just ticking away, but she had to push all that aside, for when she pushed open the door to the shop, a strong smell hit her. She half wanted to run the other way, but she held her ground and kept walking, trying her best to ignore it. Man, these witches were weird, whatever they were trying to keep out, must be working, this place was empty. Not a single soul was within her view. Not that she could see far, there were shelves and shelves of books, and she was not tall enough to see over them.
Well whatever. She was not here for books. She was here for some herbs, maybe some gun powder of sorts, so she could make her diapering act, and something to hide her very human smell, masking it really. She'd pick up a few things. But for now she just had to find the right section. That would surly provide to be difficult seeing as everything in this store was packed into shelves, none of which she could see over, and most of the things she'd need would surly be on higher shelves, away from the public eye. This was going to be much more difficult then she originally planned. At least she was freshly showered, and was lucky enough to be wearing some new clothing she got from a legit store, and not the dumpster out back.
So her day was not going that bad right? Her nice new sneakers, her cute little work out shorts, and a plan tank top. It looked like she just came back from a school sports practice, only her smelly old back pack, that rattled with ever step, kind of shattered that illusion. But she did not care. At least she looked like a young teenager, which is what she was going for, the whole demon possession thing. At least her hair was down, washed, and a sweet honey color, her natural highlights shinning in the lighting. She was looking like any normal teenager, which felt good for once. Speaking of the whole normal teenager thing, and the whole demon thing, she'd need to get new contacts. Stupid Sam Winchester! Hopefully they at the very least sold solid black contacts.

----------------------- [/b] -----------------------[/b] Cordelia had a lot on her mind right now, Doyle was back and she had broken up for Benny for him. She had felt bad by breaking up with someone who had genuine feelings for her. She had feelings for the vampire as well but she was in love with Doyle. The girl was feeling a bit bummed out today though. It wasn't like her to feel bad about something as she broke a lot of guy's hearts but for some reason this one was sticking. One thing she was glad about was that she wasn't going to have to pick between being immortal or just well, human and that made her extremely happy. She wouldn't have to drink blood for the rest of her life as that was something that she was so not into. She wondered how Buffy and Angel maintained their relationship knowing that Buffy would die of old age.
Because of her feeling bummed she decided that she would do some shopping as that always helped her out when she was feeling a bit low. Instead of shopping for herself she thought it would be better if she got gifts for people. She was going to buy Willow something first though because she obviously knew what she liked which was witchy stuff or whatever. She wasn't sure what Buffy liked as those two were never close, she had hoped to be close to the girl one day but that probably wouldn't happen well maybe if they just talked things through. Why was that so hard? She wondered if the two would ever just sit down and talk about things, she really wanted to but Buffy was never at the house or maybe she was just avoiding Cordelia, which would make a lot more sense.
The girl knew of this witch store that obviously sold the magic stuff so she decided to go there. She had been dealing with friends who have dealt with magic forever yet she didn't even know the names of all the things they used...the girl was forgetful but half of the things were like in Latin and Cordelia took Spanish. She arrived at the store and looked around for a bit wondering what Willow would like, she even smelt some plants and gave a disgusted face. She should have brought Doyle with her but he would have probably been useless in this situation, she just needed someone who knew what they were doing. What if the girl got something dangerous? But would they really sell something dangerous in a store? She didn't think so. God, this stuff was way too creepy, she didn't even want to touch any of it.
The girl walked around for a bit until she noticed someone who was a bit familiar except this time she didn't really look like a hobo. "Oh my god Annie! Hey!" She said with excitement. She walked up to the girl. "You don't look poor well even though you are...I'm gonna like not talk," she said with a little laugh. She didn't even know what she was saying anymore. Her and Annie didn't really get along the first time but Cordelia just assumed Annie was just cranky because what teenager likes waking up in the morning? None, it made perfect sense. Unless the teenager was always cranky or something. The girl still seemed way too mature for her age, it was weird. Cordelia just wondered if she would be a bit nicer than the last time, it wasn't like Cordelia was doing anything. "Wait...," she looked around the store then back at Annie. "Why are you at a witch store?" She asked the girl curiously. That was weird for someone like her to be in here but then again there were some crazy people who tried magic but failed or thought they knew how to do magic.

------------------ [/b] ------------------[/b] Annie had her arms full of the most random of things. She had a few stones, some plants, a few books on demons, and of course those pitch black contacts. Why they sold such things here, she'd never know. Nor did she really care. She just wanted to get her shit and get out. As luck would have it. That would be the very last thing she was going to do today. Nope. She was going to be stuck here for quite a while.
As she turned a corner her arms full, things dangerously close to falling, who did she see? None other the the annoying OLD lady she saw a while back at that dumb coffee shop. God she was so tired she could hardly remember, but she'd know that voice anywhere. She had to listen to it for long enough. So when she herd it, the loud OMG ANNIE, she about dropped everything in her arms. Most of her things went crashing to the floor, some she manged to catch again. But she effectually bumped into a random wrist height shelf, causing it and all the books to tumble over. GREAT. just fucking GREAT! She would not make eye contact. God not yet. But she had been seen. THAT much was clear. She was stuck, and she knew it.
Annie looked up a fake smile on her face, trying to match Cordelia's. "OMG! Cordelia! Hi!" She added, pumping up her tone and energy a bit much. She was making fun of Cordelia, but if you did not catch that you'd think she was legit happy to see Cordelia "Yeah I don't look like shit. Thanks for noticing!" She added before she got to her knees, and began shifting through everything to pick up all the things she needed. If she had a bag or something it would be pretty easy, just dumping everything in the bag. But she had her arms, so trying to balance everything shift things and pick up more things. It was really just a shit show. But Annie was trying to run away as fast as she could before Cordelia got to close. Last thing she'd want was another LETS GO SHOPPING deal. Cordelia might not be so bad if she had ANYTHING to talk about. And trying to convince Annie she needed to go shopping was not how it was done. Just kind of talking about life in general, and walking around. That's how to get Annie to shop. Gotta ease her into it. Walking around the mall eating and talking, yeah, just kind of dip into a store. That's the kind of Shopping Annie needed. But you ask her to go shopping, god forbid try to make her. The harder you push something on her, the harder she's going to refuse. Annie really was simple in that way. You had to ease her into things, trick her really, then she'd have no problem with it. Make it look like her idea.
"What?" Annie asked a bit confused at the comment. "You don't have to be a witch to come in to these places ya know....." She added. "Anyway. Your CLEARLY not a witch, so how do you know I'm not one. I can't just poof money in my hand ya know. There is an order to things." She added giving up on gathering up her crap. She still had that attitude to her voice, but that was something Cordelia was going to have to get used to. It was not going away any time soon. At least not after their last meeting. It was all here some place, so long as she cleaned up the books that fell from the shelve, she'd be okay. So that's what she did, started to clean up best she could. She'd grab a bag in a bit, once she got this area ready to go. She just hoped she did not break anything. She had little money, and she had just enough to afford what she needed not a bit more.

----------------------- [/b] -----------------------[/b] The store was so weird, but she was doing this for Willow so she would get in and then get out...unless she found something cute but it was a witch shop so what could she really find in here? What did Willow even like? Did she want eye of newt or like some slugs...god this was just so gross where were the normal things like flowers, witches used those right? She looked around some more wondering what the hell she was supposed to buy. She was gonna shop for the others later on especially Buffy as she didn't know what to get her and she wanted the present to be really good so then the two could start fresh as she still felt the tension. And Xander well he was still the same and the two would bicker a bit but they were friends so it was just Buffy she had to try and be friends with if the girl would just freaking talk to her already, it was so hard to get a hold of her sometimes.
When she bumped into Annie the teenage girl dropped things and Cordelia helped to pick them up as she felt kind of bad even though bumping into her wasn't her fault. "Finally you're not cranky," she said with a smile as Annie sounded happy. "You know it's probably because you aren't a morning person it happens," she said. The girl could literally talk forever if she could. "I mean I'm so not a morning person either I'd give the death glare if someone woke me up way too early but whatever the adult world you gotta do what you gotta do right? Even though you aren't an adult," finally taking a breather. She then listened some more to Annie wondering what she would say. At least Cordelia was friendly, her old high school self would probably be a bitch right now.
"You're welcome! Wait...you're being bitchy right now aren't you? All I'm doing is giving you a compliment god take a pill," she said wondering why on earth this girl was so angry. She understood she was poor and maybe that was why she was so mad at the world but come on couldn't she see that Cordy was trying to be nice right now? Clearly not considering all she did was be a bitch to her but whatever Cordelia could handle considering she herself was the true bitch when she wanted to be one. She wondered how her family was doing though, hopefully her parents would find a job or something soon so then Annie didn't have to live that way. She put some of the things in Annie's bag.
"Um, clearly you're not one because I have a friend who is into this kinda stuff so she's a witch and not you," she said slipping out that she knew a witch but whatever Annie would probably just think Cordelia is more crazy. The girl really need to drop this attitude she was giving. "So, why are you in here? I can keep a secret you know!" She said hoping Annie would tell her. She just wanted Annie to feel like Cordelia wasn't going to hurt her or anything, Cordelia was being nice and wanted Annie to know that she was basically there for her if she wanted someone to talk to because believe it or not but Cordy was great with advice as she was blunt and didn't beat around the bush. Maybe Cordy needed to have a talk with her family since this girl was so angry and needed help, she should be happy.

------------------ [/b] ------------------[/b] Annie just rolled her eyes. Just like she thought, Cordelia totally misunderstood her. Shocker. Cordelia was so stuck in her own world, that she often missed social ques. Which was weird seeing as how popular she said she had been. But Annie just smiled wrinkling her nose slightly for a second. Yeah. Well Annie was not a day person really. She really was like a vampire, hiding out during the day, and hunting at night.
"I'm more of an adult them most adults, thank you very much." Annie added with a bit of a look, please go right ahead and try to challenge that statement. Annie took care of herself, she had no real bills, but when she did, she found money and she handled it. She feed herself, she traveled around, she did what she had to do. She had a job, sure it was not a 9 to 5 job, it was much much more dangerous then that. She did more in a day then anyone hoped to experience in a life time. So try and tell her she was not an adult. She was out there protecting the streets so normal people could wake up go to their 9 to 5 job come home and hate themselves some more.
"Well your idea of a complement is servilely flawed." She added shaking her head. Cordelia was going to have to get used to this bitchy thing. That's just who Annie was, sarcastic and bitchy. You really wanted to get to her heart, talk to her like an adult, not like a child. Don't try to help her, don't speak down to her, just let her be really. Don't talk her ear off. Annie had better things to do then sit around and listen to the whoa of normal girl. If she wanted to listen to that crap she'd walk into a high school.
Nice or not. Annie was not angry, she was just being herself. She was talking to her like she'd talk to anyone. You wanna get by that, she's gonna have to trust you, and thats not going to come easy. Any which way. Cordelia needed to get used to this, and maybe Annie would be nicer. Accept that she's not going to be nice, and Annie might just surprise you. It's kind of what she did. If you expect something from her, things are likely going to change.
"And how do you know? How can you tell by looking at me?" Annie questioned. "Do witched have a 'look' to them. Because I find that offensive. " She commented, pushing her things aside. "People come in all different flavors so do witches." Annie added, her arms crossing over her chest. Guess Annie was going to be a witch now. That's not something she'd ever be, but whatever. She could pretend. Annie had nothing against witches. She generally left them alone. They were people Annie did not hunt. She stuck mostly to Vampires, demons, skinwalkers ect, the truly evil. Witches where just humans who practiced really. So she let them be. But guess today she was going to be one. Not that she could cast to save her life. But Cordelia did not need to know that.
"Oh I'm sure you can." Annie said shaking her head. There was no way Cordelia could keep a secret. She'd go screaming and yelling to get attention or something. Annie knew the kind of girl she was, and Cordelia would never keep her mouth shut. Anyway, why would Annie come right out an say she was a hunter. That was just dumb. Anyway Cordelia apparently had a witch friend, which meant bad things for Annie if she pissed Cordelia off enough. Then again trying to get a witch to do anything... was harder said then done. Still. what dd Cordelia think was going to happen? Annie would just start listing all her secrets. Cordelia was going to have to prove she was a trust worthy person. And right now all Cordelia proved to Annie was she was a stuck up, self centered women with some kind of complex, who wanted nothing more then to turn Annie into a mini supermodel. Annie was sure if Cordelia every had children, they would end up on that TV show where little kids put on make up and dance around a stage.

----------------------- [/b] -----------------------[/b] Cordelia didn't get Annie, she was the most difficult girl ever! No, scratch that, most difficult teenage girl like she was worse than Buffy and Angel's drama back in high school. It seemed like she had a lot of baggage and she deserved to mope because of it but the girl should look on the bright side of things and enjoy life. Cordelia understood that Annie had a poor family and they were trying their hardest to make money or at least she thought so. She wondered how Annie got those clothes if the family was so poor though...maybe goodwill or something? The clothes kind of looked new though, she wanted to ask but resisted as she didn't want to be snapped on again by the girl.
"Um, don't get offended...god I feel like I'm walking on eggshells!" She said with a roll of her eyes. This girl clearly had issues. "What I obviously meant was that physically you're a teenager and mentally you're an adult, sometimes I think you're more of an adult than me," she said with a laugh. "You definitely have an old soul," she told the girl with a smile. Even though Annie could be a big bitch sometimes Cordelia actually enjoyed talking to her for some reason, she didn't know why she did considering the girl was trying to shut her out and was pretty grouchy like an old man but she just felt comfortable talking to her, she wondered if Annie was semi-okay with her.
"Well, I'm a flawed girl," she said actually admitting that she herself has flaws. Cordelia wasn't one to admit things but she felt like she needed to right now. She wanted Annie to feel like Cordelia wasn't just some girl trying to help well Cordy was trying to help but not the way where she would hep a poor person or something. She felt bad for Annie and she felt like the girl deserved a way better life, she would never do that for anyone but for Annie it was different. It was clear that Annie had trust issues which Cordelia didn't get, something just wasn't adding up. It seemed like her family loved her so it couldn't be them, but what was it then? Cordelia really wanted to find out and she would at some point.
Cordelia just giggled at the girl, was she actually serious? People come in different flavours, now that was something new she heard. "Sorry, but I definitely know a witch when I see one and that isn't you," she didn't care if Annie had thought she was crazy, she was gonna stand her ground. Annie was not a witch Cordelia could tell. She was not stupid but it seemed Annie had actually thought she was. But there was that possibility that Annie was starting out as a witch but she didn't seem like the type to want to study witchcraft and all of that other weird stuff.
"Okay, first of all sarcasm is my thing," she said pointing to herself. "And second of all I totally can! This isn't high school I'm not some gossip girl," she said actually offended that Annie thought she couldn't/ Cordelia was a very trustworthy person and even back in high school she was, unless there was something she wanted but this was the adult world. Who was she really gonna tell? She only had her friends at the boarding house who she wasn't really close with. And besides the secret couldn't be that bad as she was already poor so why did the girl have to worry? Cordelia's lips were sealed and she needed to prove that somehow. Maybe she should ask Annie to knitting since clearly she doesn't like any other fun stuff like shopping which would have been a great way to talk to each other but apparently the girl hated shopping so whatever.

------------------ [/b] ------------------[/b] "And you should be." Annie said shaking her head. Maybe if Cordelia was walking on egg shells, she would not say half the shit she said to her. God. Cordelia was so insensitive. Not that Annie wanted pity or anything. But did she have to point out every tinny little detail of Annies life? Worse yet, did she ALWAYS have to talk about clothing an make up and superficial things? Was it really that hard to keep your opinions to yourself and just talk? Dang? It's not like Annie was asking for much. But how Cordelia was down right rude. Honestly, it looks like your not homeless...how is that any kind of acceptable to say in public?! Anyway it's not like they were friends. Maybe if they had some kind of connection, rather then Cordelia thinking they were BFF's... then maybe that would be an acceptable statement. But even then have some class.
"Yeah. Well living on the streets you grow up quick. My parents were not exactly present all the time." Annie added with a half shrug. To tired to care about the attitude. Whatever. Anyway. This was a more normal conversation then anything. No talk of clothing, just getting to know each other. This Annie could be okay with. Not butting in or anything, just speaking, normally, like adults. But she start running her mouth in typical teenage cheerleader fashion, and Annie's out. She's not one to approve of being put down. So all that, wont happen and you'll be meet with a bitchy Annie. You talk to her like a normal person, and Annie will be nice, or at least civil. She's not all evil. She just wants to be spoken to like a normal person, rather then a good for nothing hoodlum or street rat or whatever it is she'd be called normally.
"Reality check. Everyone is." She responded to the being flawed comment. It was what made people people. They were a VERY flawed race. They fought each other, and were generally weak. She half wondered if they were even worth protecting. But the answer was always yes. Most of the population where just like children waiting to be taught, and a lesson in supernatural kicked their ass so hard core, it changed them around. Usually for the better sometimes for the worse. Who really had time to check up on things anyway. Still. She was very flawed. It was just human. So no shocker there. Cordelia just needed to accept that no one could ever be perfect. Annie was a great hunter, but what made her so great, made her lack in all things people skills, in all things emotional. Annie was too protective of herself, which caused for a very dull life. Then again there was one person she often though at Sam. Winchester. He was a pretty good guy. She only saw him once, and nearly tried to kill her. But he at least spoke to her like an adult, and they kind of connected. Too bad his friends are out for her head. So she could never see where that might lead. Anyway. Emotions made you weak, friends made you weak, family made you useless really. Always being held against you and what not. It's just not worth it to care.
Flavors was the right word for people. Everyone was totally different. There was no two people alike. Even with different colors, that did not cover anything just skin color. To really get the heart of someone you needed to know their flavor, that covered, taste, smell, color, feel, texture. Everything. Really. Every flavor was different in so many ways, even if they looked the same, the would always taste different. Every color not so much. That implied that color was the only difference between people. Where as flavor, you get something white, is it coconut or vanilla or a mix of both? Maybe it's cream or milk...you wont know till you taste it, and in order to taste something you need more then your mouth.
"I call that ignorance. Witches don't have a look to them. Any one can be a witch." She informed Cordelia. Really. again witched like humans come in different flavors you can't tell a witch by looking at someone. You can't just be like YEP that's a witch. If you could then witches would not only have been really burned during the Salem Witch trails but any old human would know someone was a witch by looking at them. How did Cordelia know she was not a witch. There was just no way. And until Cordelia came down to earth and admitted there was no possible way to tell a witch from a human in a normal situation such as this. Annie would put that bitchy annoyed front back up. And to think they were getting somewhere first. But Annie did not deal well with ignorance, especially the kind Cordelia was plagued with. Just like you can't tell a vampire by just looking at them. You need to see an action, and they will show themselves. Annie has done nothing to prove she was or was not a witch. So Cordelia could not say any which way.
Annie was in a witch shop, so why would a non witch be in here? For him or herself, or for another. And Cordelia already said she was here for a friend. Annie had no 'others' so she had to be here for herself. That was proof enough that Annie was a witch. And honestly to be a hunter you kinda gotta be a witch.... Spells do kinda need to be cast... They are pretty similar. "But really. What makes me look like a simply old mortal? What proof do you have?" She added. choosing that word carefully. She did not just want to say human. That was... too easy. She wanted to see what other crazy ideas Cordelia could come up with... without prof that is. "The answer is none. You have no idea what I am. Or what I can do." She responded. Now they were getting some place. Annie was not just a human, she was more then that. She was a hunter, the top of her class kind of human. She hunted and she was pretty darn good. Cordelia would have no idea what so ever. She looked like a normal girl in a witch shop. You could not even tell she was homeless at the moment. Even when she looked homeless still.... you cant guess who a person is without some insight into their life.
Annies backpack would be a dead giveaway, if you could only get a look inside. It would really not be that hard to break. Annie was protective of it, and was really careful with it. But she needed a new one badly. If a knife moved an inch any which way, it would poke a new hole and the bag would be done. No more stitching it or taping it could fix it. If Cordelia wanted to know the full truth about Annie, her backpack was the key. If she bumped Annie or made her swing her backpack around hitting something, well game over... and bonus. Cordelia could take her shopping for a new backpack at least.
"That's such bull shit Cordelia. And you know it." Annie added shaking her head. "No this is not high School, but some people never change. You were head of the cheerleaders. I'm sure which meant you were QUEEN of gossip. It meant you surly made up horrible things about people, in order to keep your position at the top. That kind of attitude, wont leave a person. Not really... And you total disregard for feelings and your lack of any kind of sympathy, is proof to that." She added. Again not that she wanted any of that. But you don't go around pointing out peoples flaws, or physical flaws at least. You don't go yelling at a girl for not telling the truth about her family when you first meet. It's rude, and not okay by society standards. So with all that in mind, would you trust Cordelia? No... the answer was no. Cordelia has yet to show any kind of restraint. So no. If Annie was going to trust anyone, that secret was going to go to the grave, and Annie was sure Cordelia would crack with a little torture. Shoot cut her hair all cray and break a nail and it would all come right out of Cordelia mouth.
Even if Cordelia was tougher then that.... strapping her down and pulling of a finger nail one by one.... yeah. That would surly make her open the flood gates to any and all secrets. Anyway, the more people knew about her and her life the more they became a target to the things she hunted. The more Cordelia knew the worst off she would be and years off her life would be taken. A vampire found Annie talking to Cordelia, and she could be dead by morning just becasue Annie killed off so many vampires, it was kind of her thing really. Skin walkers too. A few demons. But really vampires were always out to get her. And Cordelia could not protect herself, and she was not so sure if her witch friend could.
Shoot. Share a few secrets with Annie. that might help. Better yet, it might make it worse. Showing Annie that Cordelia could not even keep her own secrets. Then again Annie thought Cordelia was pretty transparent. Cordelia really just needed to grow up, she needed to stop making stupid assumptions. That would surly help. At least Cordelia was not bitching about how Annie looked. At least Cordelia had not said a single thing about shopping.

----------------------- [/b] -----------------------[/b] "And why should I be?" She asked the girl who thought she was so mature. Okay, yes she was mature for her age but come on there had to be a line drawn somewhere. Willow was mature when they were back in high school but she wasn't this uptight like Annie, Annie literally hated the world and everyone in it and Cordelia could see why considering there were a lot of bad people out in the world. Not only were there bad people but there were also demons and vampires out there prowling into the night so the world was a scary place, but it wasn't like Annie knew about that world, but still the human race was enough trouble for one dimension.
Cordelia wondered why she was so uptight there had to be a reason. Cordelia had seen much happier poor people than Annie. Maybe she blamed everyone for her parents not having a job but she shouldn't blame anyone, it was just how the world worked and life was horrible but it could also be good. Cordelia had learned that when she joined Angel Investigations with all the deaths that had happened or the people that were in pain. Even when she was brought back she learned that she needed to enjoy life more and take chances, she was back and kicking so all she had to do was enjoy her time because each day could be her last, that kind of sounded cheesy but it was true being in the supernatural anything could happen. She hated how unpredictable it was but at least she had her friends.
"I guess I can relate to that..my parents weren't always around either," she told the girl. It was actually weird, Cordelia was having a conversation with a teenage girl and she didn't mind it of course it was fun and they were just talking about random stuff. It was a surprise that Cordy didn't bring up shopping or anything like that, well the reason she hadn't yet because of the last time...Annie got so angry about it for some odd reason when all Cordelia was doing was giving a nice gesture. Annie needed to ease up a bit and just enjoy herself even if she was in a witch shop that was really gross. Seriously, Cordelia had seen more appealing witch shops than this, but whatever if Annie liked going here then so be it Cordelia couldn't judge her on a witch shop maybe a clothing store but not here.
"So, clearly you aren't going to let this go," she said with a roll of her eyes. Cordelia actually had no clue if Annie was a witch or not, she could be considering Willow got into it as a teenager and she did seem like the type to do witch craft. Oh my god! She was a Willow well sort of. Willow was more passive and she was a nerd and really smart, she didn't really know Annie but from what she gathered the girl was definitely aggressive and defensive. Cordelia didn't get why she was defensive about, there must have been something she was hiding, she just wanted to understand the girl and why she was being the way she was but she probably wouldn't find out today which was okay unless she never ran into her again.
Cordelia just rolled her eyes, the girl was still going on about it which she didn't. "Fine! You're a witch! You win! I believe you," she said with a big sigh. She wasn't going to fight on the matter anymore as she was tired of talking about it. She couldn't tell who was a witch but she was just assuming Annie wasn't, maybe the girl shouldn't assume things next time. She even had to use the word 'mortal' which was just a weird word, couldn't she have used human or something? Mortal sounds like someone evil would say and Annie wasn't evil she was just bitchy. If she was evil she would have killed Cordelia a long time ago or attempted to anyway. But she made her case so this little argument was done and over with.
Cordelia actually got really upset about what Annie said the girl had no idea what she had been through, she didn't know her life. "You don't know the first thing about me," she told the girl. "Sure, I was the high school cheerleader and I was rich and popular but you have no idea how I felt back then okay so maybe I did have the perfect life but that still doesn't change the fact that you don't know what I've been through...my dad lost his job and we became poor we tried to make meets end but sometimes it wasn't enough," she told the teenage girl. "Maybe I do still have that bubbly personality but the things I've seen...felt over the past years that's something that I'll never forget, trust me when I say I've changed for the better," she said but she wasn't done yet. "The loved ones I lost...so don't you dare think that I'm some girl who doesn't care for anyone or have sympathy," she said finally finishing her short monologue. She wanted Annie to know that she wasn't just some preppy girl.
It was really annoying how Annie thought she knew who exactly Cordelia was, she had lost so many friends over the years she even died herself. Maybe Annie did go through a lot of tough stuff but it still didn't change the fact of anything, she was a different person because of her situation of whatever it was and so was Cordelia. What Annie had been explaining was Cordy's old self someone Cordelia wasn't proud of but whatever Cordelia had said her piece on the matter. She wasn't a stuck up bitch or anything, sure she could be a bitch from to time but that was about it. "And the reason why I say the things I say is because I'm a blunt person that's something that I have always been, honest," she told the girl finally finishing.

------------------ [/b] ------------------[/b] "Because if you were walking on egg shells then maybe you'd be more sensitive, and watch what you say. Half the stuff that leaves your mouth is down right rude." Annie commented. No really. It was just not right being spoken to like that. If she had any kind of filter, that might help her. There were ways you spoke to people, and Annie did not like how Cordelia spoke to her. If Cordelia could tone down on the I'm so much better then you talk, things could get better. Cordelia honestly would not be so bad if she just cut the crap. It was like she had to point out everything wrong in Annie's life just so she can justify her life being so great or whatever it was she was doing. But pointing all this out to Annie only made her feel worse, which in tern made her all the more bitchy. It was the circle of life really. Annie would stop being bitchy if Cordelia learned how to speak to a stranger. But that was going to take a lot more work.
A little insight into the perfect little Queen bee Cordelia. Her parents not being around, that sucked. At least they were alive. Annie almost wanted to say that. But she had already said her parents were alive and poor. So she had to stick with that story. Maybe if somehow they got closer Annie would come clean. Well yes. Annie almost always came clean to her lies. It was just a matter of time. Annie did not enjoy being so anti-truth, but if Annie told someone her parents were dead and she as living on the streets alone, next stop FOSTER CARE! So she had to make things up. She'd never be able to survive foster care, she'd surly kill someone, and end up in jail, and just bad things. VERY bad things. It was best to be out here alone. Still a girl can't go around telling such massive secrets. Not to strangers with big mouths.
"Your right. I wont let it go." Annie responded. She wont drop this until Cordelia can explain to Annie what a witch looks like and why Annie is not one. But that was not at all the answer she was looking for. Annie wanted to get in that pretty little head of Cordelias. Apparently it was working. But still agreeing with Annie was not the point. Annie was trying to get Cordelia to THINK! Never EVER judge a book by how it looks, EVER! Of course now Annie has to change her story. Two sides to the very same coin. Now why did Annie look like a witch? What made her witch like... why could she not just be a normal human in a witch shop? "No. I don't win." Annie commented. "Don't you see what I'm doing here?! I'm trying to get you to think. " Annie said sitting down on her knees, crossing her arms, abandoning her things for a moment, letting them sit in a neat pile on the floor in front of her.
"You always jump to conclusions. Now your saying I'm a Witch. I want to know WHY you think I'm a witch, or a mortal, or human or whatever it is you think I am. Why do you think I lie all the time, or why do you think I'm poor?" She just rattled off. "The only thing you've really done so far is judge me, on my looks. I look poor so I must need a hand out, or a shopping spree. I look like a mortal so I can't be a witch, I look like a teenager so I must love shopping." Annie continued. "Can you maybe stop judging me by my looks and start judging me for me." She asked getting a litter personal now. No really, she was not being mean or anything. She was just trying to be her. Annie was trying to be herself, and she wanted Cordelia to drop the shit, and show herself too. Annie was giving Cordelia a chance. She just had to answer correctly. She needed to know the deal with the jumping to conclusions thing. Annie was not about to drop this subject. She was not trying to change Cordelia. But she was trying to change how she looks at people.
Annie lowered her head a bit, and held out her hand, saying please, please go on with your story. It might not be the kindest of things to do. But at least Annie was giving Cordelia the floor for now. "Your right I don't." Annie said looking back to Cordelia. She may not know her life, but Annie had a feeling she was about to be told. Still Annie made more educated guesses about Cordelia's life then she made about Annies. When you live like Annie, you tend to learn how to read people, how to get to them, how to make people tick. It's just what she did. Anyway the more info she got on Cordelia the better lies she could tell. There were a few kinds of people in this world, and Annie was starting to find out who Cordelia was. That was not really a bad thing, but some types of people Annie wanted at friends, others she'd avoid. So far Cordelia was not a friend. She was a person Annie needed to run from. Hopefully that would change. But Cordelia would be the one to change.
"You know I'm sorry you had to go through that. But I never said you don't care. I'm sure you care a lot. I'm not saying your no sympathtic to your friends. But if you were wearing a shit you stole from the dumpster because that's the only thing you had, and some women came up to you telling you how poor you are and how she has to take you shopping to get all new clothing that you can never wear, and have no place to keep, and would surly get you beat up and they would be stolen. How would you feel? Every time you speak it's like your putting me down in one way or another, like just because your older you automatically know more then I do." Annie went on. "You seem to just judge a person on looks alone, not who they are. You don't know anything about me. And I have yet to attack your looks. I've only said you were old. And you are old compared to me. Your the one that took it as an insult." Annie went on.
"And as perfect as you life was, I don't think you will ever truly know what hunger is. Try not eating for a few days, being locked in a dirty bug filled hotel room, with a drug dealer next door, a prostitute across the hall and some phyco killer in the next room over. Your parents gone. Where would you go? What would you do?" Annie asked. "Just because your father lost his job, and you were poor, I'm pretty sure you guys were above the poverty line." Annie added. Not saying that she had ever been in that situation. But she was close to it.
"Still do you think a Demon is going to care what you look like or your life story?" Annie asked. "No. They could care less. It's how you make people feel that going to put you on their hit list. If they think for one minute that you have the potential to hurt someone, they will get inside that head of yours." Annie went on. Just because she talked about a demon did not mean it was the real deal, she could just be religious. She was kind of counting on that. "You need to think before you just go talking like your the Queen of the freaking world. Come off that high horse and judge one actions not looks. You act like your self centered and they are going to make you self centered." She finished. Not so much a life story, but maybe it would get the point across.
She still was not sure Cordelia's idea of poor was really all that poor. Once you are the rich as in nails done every day, eating out or personal cook, new outfit every day. To anything less, it could make anyone think they were poor. Shoot even if that personal cook was gone and she could not buy a new outfit for a year (she'd have to wear last years styles). That would make them seem like they were poor, god forbid they move into a smaller house. That was not poor. Having a house, made you okay, renting an apartment for an extended period of time made you alright also. Maybe poor, but not poverty, Annie was poverty. She could not rent a room even if she wanted to, she could hardly live, sometimes she had to go hungry. She was smarter now, but still. Cordelia was never truly poor. That kind of stuff changes a person, that kind of change is deep. Annie just did not see that in Cordelia. She was still too self-entitled or something. There was just something about Cordelia that Annie could not trust.
"I'm a blunt person too... and I'm going to tell ya how I see it. But still. It's the way you talk to strangers. Like you know it all, like you've lived and died in every situation." Annie added. "I know that's not the case. Your not a blood sucking vampire." She joked... but only kind of joked. "I'm the first to admit I'm a wonderful lair. I have to be, or I would have died a long time ago. But for you to call me a lier to my face on our first meeting, Was offensive. You don't just go telling someone you just meet that the life they live is a lie. If I said my parents were rich and I ran away from home, would I be telling the truth then?" She asked. "The point is, you don't go calling people names when you first meet them. You don't know my life story. And honestly you don't need to know. " Annie went on. "For all I know your a cop looking to arrest me as soon as I say my parents are drug dealers, or maybe your some creepy politician looking for a charity case to help you get elected. I don't know who you are, or why you want to know about my life. So I'm not just going to be so forthcoming with information. This stuff is earned, not given." Annie finished.
"You have done little to earn my trust. You've just expected I give it to you. You have to remember I live on the streets, I live with criminals really. And here I am trying to go to school and get off the streets. I'm not going to just trust you becasue your pretty and want to dress me up in a way society says I should dress. The things I see at night, would make you want to kill yourself. Honestly they all talk a big game, they can dress nice, they can make it look like they are normal, only they have a glock in their back pocket waiting for the right victim." She ended, thinking she might have taken it too far. She was really not saying Cordy was a criminal, but the point was, she was not judging on looks. She was going to give out as little info as possible until she knew who this women was and what she wanted, and why she needed to know about Annie's like so badly.

----------------------- [/b] -----------------------[/b] "Fine, I'll try and stop being so rude," she said crossing her arms. Was Annie really talking about how Cordelia was rude? Um, has she met herself, she was the definition of rude and bitch she was basically a mini Cordelia except poor and acting all mature like. The girl wasn't sure if she should be happy about that or pissed off on how she was treating her. So yeah, maybe Cordelia was being a bit rude by being so blunt and telling the girl about her situation and that she was poor, but sometimes she didn't have a filter okay, it wasn't her fault she was brought up to be upfront and not keep anything a secret. She would try and tone it down for Annie though since it was clearly a problem and Cordelia wasn't looking for a fight right now, she just wanted to enjoy her day.
Cordelia just wanted to know Annie, she didn't know why but it was something about this teenage girl that made Cordelia want to help her out...it was weird because it wasn't one of those things where it was pity but she just wanted to be there for the girl. She seemed so cold-hearted or maybe she was just like that because she didn't trust people. Cordelia was good at reading people and she could tell that this girl had some trust issues but why? There had to be a reason, could it be the parents or was there someone in her life that made her feel that way? There were so many questions going through Cordelia's mind and she wanted them answered but knew she wouldn't get one from the girl since she was so freaking stubborn as always.
Of course this girl went into a full freaking monologue once again about how she needed to think but why? Why was she trying so hard for Cordelia to think about this? She was trying so hard before to convince her that she was a witch so what the hell, it just made no sense to Cordelia but whatever if that was what Annie wanted then so be it. "Fine, FINE!" She said giving a deep sigh, this girl was literally a handful. "You're right okay, I shouldn't judge you on your appearance when I barely know you and I wasn't trying to shop with you because I felt bad...I wanted to get to know you god is that so bad?" She asked the girl. "I mean all I wanted to was have a fun day with you," she said hoping the girl understood and wouldn't go off in another rant about how Cordelia was not thinking. "And I'll start judging you for you as that is fair I don't know your current situation so I shouldn't be assuming it's just how I've always been since high school something I clearly need to change," she told the teenage girl.
All of her life she had judged people based on appearance and that was what got her by which she shouldn't do it wasn't fair to the people. She remembered when she had judged Buffy after that incident at the Bronze and she thought Buffy was a total psycho but then she got to know the blonde and realized that she wasn't all that different from Cordy. They were never close of course but still she didn't talk behind the girl's back or anything. Cordelia even judged Angel back then and then realized he was a really good friend. God, Annie was right she really did need to stop assuming and judging it was just a bitch move and Cordelia left her bitch side a long time ago well unless someone else is being a bitch.
"Who's the assumer now," she said with a grin on her face feeling she won something finally. "Yes, we were living above the poverty line but after high school it got worse and I was on my own in L.A. so yes I had a crappy apartment which I'm pretty sure had roaches...whatever," she said giving a disgusted look. God, she hated that apartment so much, she didn't even know how she lived there, well she knew she had no money and that was the cheapest apartment. "So I'm pretty sure my neighbours were drug dealers also and the only thing I ate was like cereal," which was why she never had cereal for breakfast as she got sick of it from having it so much. "But your situation is different well I think, you see I'm thinking!" She said with a giggle. Okay, come on Annie had to lighten up after that.
"How do you know about demons?" She asked giving a shocked expression. She wanted some answers, how did a girl like her know demons and it wasn't like she was a slayer or else all of her friends would have picked her up. "And trust me I know they don't care all they want to do is kill but whatever I know it bugs them when I talk so much," she said still trying to keep the conversation light.
"Well...I wouldn't say I died in every situation...," she said then coughed a little. Well it was true, she did live at some point then she died and now she was back again. So clearly she had been through a lot. "Wow, you so went Psych 101 on me you're right I could be a cop but could I really pull that off?" She said with a little laugh. "And politicians are annoying but I get what you mean I mean I could be like some monster out to get you so better safe than sorry," she told the girl. She was sort of seeing Annie's way now, it took a while but she was finally getting it through her thick skull. "I totally understand there are things out there...you know creatures that are so icky but then some who blend in with the crowd until you know they change," she said to the girl. "I've seen things at night too so I'm gonna totally go out on a limb and say you totally know about demons," she said with a whisper, Annie had to there was no other explanation.

------------------ [/b] ------------------[/b] Wow. Annie just shook her head. What more could she do? Clearly Cordelia was missing the point. She has been saying a lot of things, its doing it that mattered. Annie could say she was a famous soccer player who's won a billion medals, does not make it true. Annie could also say she was going to stop hunting, but no one would believe that until she did. It was never going to happen, Annie figured it was just best to forget this. Clearly this was something Annie was never going to win. Cordelia just did not understand. She did not get it, she was too stuck in high school. Just becasue Cordelia was older, meant nothing. Annie was 50years in terms of experience, and travel. She's been all over the USA, and she's even went out of country a few times before.
Was this a break through? Annie could not help but think as she sat here, Cordelia taking over the conversation. Annie was tired of wasting her breath anyway. "Getting to know me? No. It's not that bad, maybe a bit weird.... kind of creepy but not bad. It's how you came across to me. The second I meet you it was all about status, you never once cared about me, just by place in the world. And you made it clear to me, I was the lowest of low. That's the issue here." Annie ended. Well it started out as a bit of a break through. Would it last? Not likely. Habits like this are very hard to break. Annie was pretty sure this was something way out of Annie's hands. But she had to try anyway. Clearly the universe wanted Annie to do something about this, or Cordelia never would have bumped into Annie here at this shop. It was the last place Annie figured Cordelia would be. She's totally stuck in her rich little world. No matter what Cordelia said about being poor, she never truly was poor.
"Thank you! You finally realized you need to change. This is not high school." Annie said with a sigh, throwing her hands up in the air, letting them fall to her lap again. So a bit of a break through, at least Cordelia said she needed to change. That had to be a step in the right direction. "Still... my next concern is.... why do you want to have a fun day with me... a teenager half your age? Who you've never meet and have no connection to?" Annie asked. More of out curiosity then anything. "I mean you don't think that's a little creepy?" She questioned. Really.... that some predatory shit right there. How would Cordelia feel if a 40 year old women walked up to her and was like Hey... you lets hang out and be best friends.... She would for sure think that was kind of creepy.
"I'm not assuming anything. Your pretty easy to read, and your idea of poor is my idea of rich." Annie added more under her breath. It was clear Cordelia did not know what 'poor' was. She knew what not being able to buy a new outfit every day meant, and to her that was poor, when that was hardly poor. And again, good for her for being on her own at 18 or 19 or whatever, being in an apartment, being able to have an apartment. Having a place to call your own. Still not super poor, seeing as she was likely living on her own, meaning if she got a roommate or two she could move up in the world or rent. But Annie did not know much more about Cordelia whole life, so she was not about to say anything. Still. Cordelia would never know what poor was.
"Thinking... a step in the right direction." Annie said, figuring she'd just leave that at that. Maybe it was like some kind of reward or something? Not talking back for Cordelia's thinking. Or trying to think or whatever. At least the conversation was getting better... so far at least. Then again this was like the norm with Cordelia and Annie. The convo went in a great direction, Annie really starting to enjoy it, then Cordelia had to go and say something stupid where Annie would have to educate her, or attempt to. Then it would go back to Cordelia thinking she was the better person for being older or whatever, and Annie trying to get Cordelia to THINK about what she says and how that might effect others. Annie at least knew what being a bitch meant. She WANTED people to leave her alone and hate her, then they could not be a target and get hurt. End of story. She knew she hurt others feelings, but a hurt feeling was better then dead.
"It's common knowledge Cordelia. Just like Angels are real too." Annie said. It kind of was. Now real selling your soul demons was not what Annie was talking about. Well she was, but Cordelia did not need to know that. Demons were.... demons. At least if you were any kind of religious you would believe in demons and angels, heaven and hell. Now Vampires and Werewolves were a different story, but you ask anyone on the street and a demon was real as you and me. Then again Annie was pretty sure Cordelia knew more then she was leading on. Which was all fine and dandy. Annie did not need to know why or how Cordelia knew of these things. These things tend to find people. Cordelia was just one of the unlucky people to have found one.
"If you can pull it off or not. I've seen stings like this happen. A undercover cop, or maybe you got in some kind of trouble with the law, and to lessen your sentence your sent out to help bring down criminals or what not.... any which way, I don't know why you care so much about me. I'm just a random 'little girl' " Annie said quoting little girl. She did not see herself a little, but the world saw her as little. She could accept that in society standards. "Why take interest in me? Why not find yourself a well rounded girl with a better life story. I'm not worth saving....." She said but paused. "I mean, there are people who need saving. I'm not one of them." Annie fixed. That was better. She did not need to be saved, was her meaning. If she needed to be saved, she has done a darn lot for this world someone better save her.
"Oh course I know about demons. Again, It's common knowledge." Annie said shaking her head, but picking up the contact case she was buying, with the pitch black contacts in them, waiting to be used. Cordelia might know about the REAL demons or the common knowledge ones, Annie did not know or care, but she picked up the case anyway, and waved it softly before tossing in the bag with all her things, all the things she was planning on buying at some point. It was more of a yes I know more then I'll tell you. Again I don't know you, or what team your on. So no information will be given. But Annie knows more then she'll ever lead on. Still it was just a little, I know about demons, and if you did not know a true demon, those contacts would mean little to you. Still for all Annie knew Cordelia could be a demon. Though this convo would never had lasted as long, a demon would be much more....understanding, trying to get on Annie's good side rather then being dumb and annoying her. But still... you never know.
If Annie really wanted to be sure, Cordelia would have to be willing to dip her hands in holly water, borax, touch silver maybe even touch some dead mans blood.... some other dumb tests. But if Cordelia really wanted to make Annie believe they were on the same team, which would be a start, she needed to step up her game and prove that she was at least human. ------------------[/b] [/center]

----------------------- [/b] -----------------------[/b] Cordelia wondered if the two would ever get along, from what it seemed like, that would never happen or at least for now it wasn't. She did want to be nice to the girl and she was trying to be nice but for some reason whatever she said Annie got angry about. Cordelia had always been that way and although she did say she'd try and change she didn't truly believe she would. People never changed, they would always be the person they were or show their true colours, that was how the world worked and Cordelia knew that but apparently this girl didn't. She could possibly change her way of thinking but that was a slim chance at least Annie could be happy about her trying.
"Ugh, we're really gonna talk about our issues?" She asked the girl. Why couldn't she let it go, she just kept pushing Cordelia to think and go deeper into the conversation. Yes, once in a blue moon Cordelia could have a super serious conversation but it was rare. "I mean fine I judged you because of your clothing and I thought I was superior, my bad for thinking that," she said wondering if the girl would try and talk about how she needed to think some more. "But you know what? That's how everyone is, people judge and they think they're better than someone or sometimes lower than someone, that's how the world works," she told the girl not backing down. Come on, Annie must have judged Cordelia when they had first met and just thought she was some rich girl who didn't know anything which wasn't the case at all.
"Okay...so maybe that's a tad creepy...well majorly creepy," she said with a sigh. "I'm not really sure I mean I guess I just wanted to have fun shopping with you even though you are a teenager and all," she wasn't really making much sense but she had no idea why she wanted to hangout with Annie. Maybe it was just the fact she thought the girl was homeless with no parents so she wanted to feel generous or maybe it was the fact that Cordelia felt like she could make a mini her or have someone to take under, clearly she wasn't going to figure it out today but whatever.
"Yeah, you're right about that," finally agreeing with the girl on something. "I do have friends who have my back with financial stuff as well so I'll admit...my life is good," she told the teenager. She had her friends and she could go to the boarding house if she couldn't afford the apartment anymore but right now she was doing perfectly fine, but still it was nice knowing she had them behind her all the way. She wasn't sure if Buffy liked her living there which was one of the reasons why she left because she didn't want to deal with the awkwardness or anything so she wanted to stay out of the woman's way for now.
"Oh my god really?! I've never met an angel before like that would be great! I've met demons...some good and some not so good," she said honestly. She remembered of course Doyle who was a good guy...actually an amazing guy who sacrificed himself and of course Lorne who was just the best, he honestly was her best friend and Cordelia was pretty sure he was gay...whatever it didn't matter. "Well, sorry for talking to you," she said with attitude. "I wasn't trying to save you it's not like some demon was attacking you," she told the girl crossing her arms. Why did Annie have to get this way? "And I'm totally not a criminal I mean I barely look good in orange," she said making a bit of a joke.
"Well some people can be oblivious I mean I was back in high school and I lived on the hell mouth for god's sake!" She said shaking her head at herself. She couldn't believe how oblivious she was considering there were so many people in her high school who went missing or died in it. "But whatever, a lot has changed then," she told the girl with a smile. "Thank god," she said more to herself. "When did you first know about demons?" She asked the girl curiously wondering if that was an okay question, she'd be surprised if it was considering Annie liked to snap on everything.

------------------ [/b] ------------------[/b] It really was not all about changing. Annie could care less what Cordelia did or did not do. It's more what she said. It did not take a lot of effort to edit what you say before you say it. Annie has a lot of thoughts, ones that she would never share with the world. It was just not okay to say. That's more what bugged Annie about Cordelia.
This is hardly a deep conversation. Annie was just trying to get Cordelia to understand how she went about this all wrong. And if Cordelia really wanted to be liked, how she was doing it wrong. Annie could totally put on a nice face and be super bubbly and cute. But that's not her, so she wont do it unless she has to or it's expected of her for the job. She's going to do what she has to, and if she wnated to get to know Cordelia half as much as Cordelia wanted to get to know Annie, then Annie would have put on a super cute smile and channeled her inner cheerleader. It's about changing yourself to fit the situation. That's not how your going to make real friends, but it's going to get you what you what when you want it.
"I disagree with that." Annie said. That's not it. It's not about judging. It's about having more then others. It's about stuff, things, not necessarily image. So long a you have things to back up your mouth your fine. You could be the ugly person in the world, but if you have a lot of stuff, your likely going to have an easy time finding a women dumb enough to be with you for your things. "But whatever." Annie added. She was not about to get into the whole this is how the world works Annie knows how the world works, it's all about sex, drugs and money. You can still dress like a homeless person, so long as you have money in your pocket to get everyone drunk, you'll soon be the hit of the party. It's about stuff. What you can and cannot get. Still this was not a convo she wanted to have right now.
Annie judged Cordelia after she opened her mouth a few times. Annie ever judged someone on how they looked. Everyone had a bad day. Shoot everyone had a day when they were sick and just did not care enough to try. Also everyone had that day when they tried super hard to look nice. Annie tried very hard not to judge based on looks but on actions and words. Again still not the issue. It was how Cordelia spoke to Annie that was the issue. But Cordelia still did not understand that. She never would, or Annie was starting to give up on that. Cordelia clearly did not want to accept what Annie was saying, which was fine. Annie had no ties with the girl.
Annie held out a hand in a half shrug. Kind of like saying see... told ya so. Honestly if things were reversed..... it was creepy. Very creepy. Cordelia wanted to know why Annie was resisting so hard core... well that's why. Cordelia came off more then creepy. Annie did not have the word to describe it. It was just weird, not normal. And not normal was never good in Annie's book. This was beyond goth kid creepy, this was just.... different. Things like this just don't happen to normal every day people. So there had to be some under lining motive for Cordelia wanting to meet Annie. Even if it was some kind of spell or something. It was just strange. At least now Cordelia understood why Annie was not like HEY LET'S BE BEST FRIENDS!! Coming up to Annie like that... it was down right creepy. Majorly creepy as Cordelia put it.
Annie snorted at Cordelia excitement about Angels. Clearly Cordelia knew very little about the supernatural world. There ware worse things then Demons and there are better things then Angels. "Not all Angels are good.... and Honestly not all Demons are bad. I'm take a demon over an angel any day." Annie said with a small sigh and a shake of her head. God forbid an Angel finds her, she's dead. Right then and there she was sure she'd be killed. If a demon found her at least she'd have a chance. Anyway, no demon wanted to kill Annie, she was a vessel after all, to a very powerful demon. Then again that demon had died... but still if somehow she came back, no one wnated to answer to her. So Demons did not try so hard at killing her. An Angel would kill her without a second thought. So how could Angel's be all good? If they were willing able, and ready to kill Annie... a girl who protected her own kind the best she could.
Gah! We were back to this again were we? Dang. Annie half wanted to throw her arms in the air and give up. Yell something about TAKE ME NOW AND END IT ALL!! But of Course that would be wrong. So Annie just took a few breaths and ignored it. Totally ignored it. The arms crossing and all. Ignore it. Be the bigger person and forget it. Let Cordelia think what she want, and do what she want. Annie can't change the world. As much as she wanted to live in a better world, she knew this was clearly not going to be it. So just whatever. That's i. Whatever. Annie was going to just have to stop thinking and just whatever it. It was better for them all. Just to forget it all and be done.
"Right...." Annie said narrowing her eyes. Hell mouth? Really? Annie has herd a bit about all that, but no much. She was pretty young when all that went down, and her parents kept her pretty far from it. For where there's a demon there surly an Angel around. Annie at first thought they were talking about the whole bible demon thing.... but now guess Cordelia knew a little more then that. She must have been tricked into something or other, some hunter saved her, and that was that. Would not surprise Annie if Cordelia sold her soul for a designer hand bag. That seemed like something Cordelia would do not realizing she really sold her soul.
"It's common knowledge." Annie added, still not trying to lead on she knew about the real cross roads kind of demons not the bible do bad and demons will get you kind of deal. But the real deal, not the religious deal. Annie was just not ready to open up with all that. Again, Cordelia did not seem very trustworthy. "I've always known about Angels and Demons and Haven, Hell and Purgatory.... You know the whole Seven deadly Sins and the Heavenly Virtues.... ever read a bible?" Annie asked more confused then anything. Annie wanted Cordelia to spill the beans about the not talking about the bible thing first.

----------------------- [/b] -----------------------[/b] Cordelia was actually enjoying this conversation, even though the girl was getting a bit irritated by this teenager she was having a good time. Annie was making Cordelia think about a lot, not only about life but about Doyle. The woman knew that she wanted to be with him and she wanted to make sure he knew that, the two didn't have to take things so slowly because life was short and anything could happen, especially in the supernatural world. And Cordelia was ready to walk away from the conversation to find the man but decided she would do that later as she wanted to talk to Annie more which seemed creepy but Cordelia just felt like she needed to get to know her, maybe it was one of those like six sense thing she didn't know but whatever it didn't matter. The conversation was just getting better and better anyway.
"Well, you disagree with everything I say, so," she said a little sassy like but she didn't really care. She could be sassy if she wanted to. Annie was always playing devil's advocate which Cordy didn't mind but it did get annoying pretty quickly. Annie did help Cordelia figure some things out, Cordy's goal in life was to help people, that was what she was meant to do. She knew this before she did but when she came back she didn't even focus on it, she basically just went on with her life not caring about other people and if they were in danger, god how could she be such an idiot? She should have realized this sooner, she was back for a reason and that was to help whomever was in trouble.
"Yep! I was totally oblivious to it but then of course I got dragged in to this world because of my friend who isn't really a friend, well we're friends but it's complicated," she said with a sigh. "Anyway, so ever since then I had been a defenseless girl but moving to L.A. I learned to fight after a guy I could have loved died...," she said remembering that night. "So, I totally kick ass now," she said with a smile. "It's weird to see how much has changed though," she was hinting at her death and was just talking about life in general. She hadn't been gone for long but still, it was weird seeing everything and being back in the fight, she wasn't used to it yet but would be hopefully soon. She just wished that she could talk to Angel about it all, it would have been nice.
Cordelia started laughing, "Um the bible? Why would I ever read that, that's like a thousand pages," she told the girl. "I swear we were talking about demons like the ones that are in this town even vampires," she was pretty sure vampires classified as demons she wasn't too sure but figured they did. "I've never seen an angel, that'd be cool or wait maybe I have," she said trying to think back to it all. Did she ever see an angel when she was in heaven? She honestly didn't know and wasn't to think about it any further as she had no idea. "I've seen a lot though and trust me when I say half the stuff wasn't pretty," she said remembering the time that demon laid an egg in her head, ugh gross! "I can't believe you thought I meant the bible, I'm not even religious!" She told the girl.

------------------ [/b] ------------------[/b] "That's kind of the point. The only way to get someone to think is to argue the other side so they an defend their position." Annie said, kind of a Duh moment. Annie loved playing devil's advocate. Why? Because she kind of liked seeing people get all irritated when the were challenged. People now a days blindly follow people. That was down right dumb, and she wanted to stop people from doing that. Her whole point, stop and THINK before you do anything. Annie should take a bit of the advice she dishs out. Annie tends to act first think later, but that's kind of the name of the game, her game at least. It fits for her. Still. It was stupid and she was fully aware of it. Do as I say, not as I do deal.
Annie just raised a brow. Well that was a lot of information for nothing. She had a friend that was not really a friend that brought her into this world? Alright.... weird. Annie was not sure why she needed to know all that, but okay. A little blind faith she guessed. Well. Any which way, Cordelia was in the life. How she got into it, Annie did not care so much. You got in it one way or another and you never got out. So whatever happened happen. However Cordelia felt she was in the life, Annie had no idea. But Cordelia did not strike Annie as the fighting type, so how she was in the life, Annie had no idea. She just went back to her theory, she sold her soul to a cross roads demon and someone saved her ass after 10 years. Or something with a ghost. Not really out there battling the evil, but she's just aware that it's real. Yeah.... that's what it was for sure.
"Oh?" Annie asked a bit skeptical. Kick ass? Annie could not see that, not one bit. God forbid Cordelia broke a nail while fighting.... well.... then it was over. Cordelia was gonna what? Stop the fight for a second so she could tend to her nail? Annie just could not see Cordelia stand up and get into a fight, a real life or death fight. "So what you know Karate? " Annie asked? Most people who she comes across who are all like I can fight, have a green belt in Karate or something dumb like that. That there is not fighting, not really. Not the kind of fighting you need in the world of a hunter. Still Cordelia hardly seemed like any kind of fighter. Annie was trained to stay alive and kill. That's it. Cordelia seemed to be trained in protecting her nail and hair.
"A tad more then a thousand pages." Annie added. Annie shook her head. "Never mind Cordelia. Just never mind." Annie added ignoring that. So yeah they were passed that. Still. Annie read the bible. Not cover to cover, but she still read it. Cordelia had to know a little something about it. Apparently Annie was once again wrong. Cordelia was much more.... in her own world then Annie figured. "Yeah. So cool." Annie just kind of went with it. Clearly what Annie said about demons not being all bad and Angels not being all good went right through Cordelia.
Annie just could not think anymore. It was no use to it. Just no use. Annie was not really talking about the bible, but Cordelia needed to be a little more careful with what she talked about and with whom. If she started talking 'crazy' to the right people, she'd be locked up for sure. Not that it really mattered Cordelia could use a little time locked up. Might help her a little. But really this was not an okay convo to have. Not like this out in the open.
((Yeah. It's alright. I'm kinda busy this week, so I'll be very slow posting, as you can tell. haha. So you can take your time for sure.))
