----------------------- ----------------------- Caroline hadn't fed in too long. The people were starting to notice that all the local blood bank's number of bags depleating. There were just too many vampires here in these surrounding areas at the moment. But Care knew that she was strong, she could fight urges like people wouldn't believe. She just couldn't be around people for awhile. She half considered going to the Salvatore's to see if she could harvest some of their supply but knew that wouldn't be a good idea. She almost considered going to Klaus and asking for his help but she was stronger than that, she would only go to him if things got too dire. She had better control and could wait another day until she went off to get her next supply. She let out a deep breath as she felt the slight burn that was telling her she needed to feed. She wouldn't let it get the best of her though, she wouldn't be like Stefan. She could keep a temper on her hunger, she had been able to for a long time now.
Of course the bottle of tequila she had in her hand tended to help with it. She had always found that either eating human food or drinking alcohol could keep her in check. However walking around the streets at this house with nothing but a small bag and a bottle of tequila could get her into trouble. She needed to go somewhere that wasn't a normal patrol spot. Then it came her in a second. Cutting through the woods she figured she could get to the wickery bridge and not have to worry. She considered staying in the woods for a moment but really she wanted to be near the water and even the sky. it was clear and warm, one of the first nights that had happened. She breathed in the air and she could start to hear the water not far from her. So that was interesting at least there was water nearby, she knew where she was now. She walked forward a little faster surer of her steps.
Two humans were already on the bridge. The slight breeze blowing their scent her way. She hissed audibly but they were too far away for them to hear her. She growled and felt her face change. The veins protruding on her face under her eyes. her eyes turning blood shot. Her fangs showing themselves, she let in another hiss when the wind came to her again. She figured she had to scare them away. She moved back into the woods and scared all the birds around her and the wildlife. Animals and vampires weren't exactly a good combination. They all scattered she listened as she heard the female asking him to go. She was scared. Good so she should be. She moved to the edge of the trees once more and straightening her skirt walked out when they were finally gone. Her face resumed back to itself. She let out a soft sigh and felt better.
She didn't go up to the bridge instead stayed near the waters edge. It was calm here nothing too bad. She took a long pull from the newly filled bottle. She would be feeling this very soon. If she had the entire bottle to herself then most definitely going to be getting more than a little tipsy. She didn't care though. This place was soothing and she figured she could stay here for as long as she wanted to. She found a rock and sat on it a little way away from the water. She took another drink and tucked her currently straight hair behind her ear. Looking around she wondered why no one else was out here, probably because it was almost midnight. That was when she heard something or someone else. Surely that couple weren't stupid enough to come back here right?

-------------------------- -------------------------- Jesse let out a deep sigh as he returned his squad car. So far this patrol had turned up nothing and he was bored. No scratch that. He was beyond bored. He hated the graveyard shift. Nothing ever happened in this shift. It was like everyone just stayed inside and stayed out of trouble. Heck, there hadn't even been a couple of kids out getting drunk or anything. It was starting to feel like Mayberry in a way with how uneventful his late night patrols had been. He then let out a scoff. What was he thinking? This wasn't Mayberry. It wasn't even close. But it had been awful quiet lately. And that was driving him crazy. He needed something to do. The quiet was getting to him. Okay, yes, the quiet was a good thing. It meant that people were obeying the law and he liked that. But at the same times, he liked it when he had something to do. Well, maybe things will pick up, he thought to himself. He hoped so. But at least there didn't seem to be anything big on the Supernatural front. Well...nothing that anyone would tell him anyways. These people were really good at keeping what they knew under wraps. But that was okay. So was he. Hey, you couldn't have a vampire for a brother without learning how to keep a secret. But he did know how to keep a secret, which he had a feeling would come in handy soon. And speaking of vampires, that reminded him: he needed to refill his supply of Vervain. He had run out about a couple of nights ago and he had to find a place that would sell the stuff. Well, at least he still had his wrist cuff. He never took that off. With a another sigh, he drove over to the bridge---Wickery Bridge he thought it was called---okay, he really needed to start memorizing the name of things around here---and then put the car into park and then got out out and started walking, occasionally flashing the light of his flashlight in any direction so that he didn't miss anything. As he did so, he saw a couple walking off, the woman obviously frightened by something. Now what's going on here? he wondered. Had they run into someone? Well, at least it would give him something to do. It looked like things were picking up after all. Yes! Okay, now let's see what we have to deal with, he thought to himself. He was about to go up to them and ask them if everything was all right when another noise caught his attention. Frowning, he turned in the direction of the sound and quickly followed it, using his flashlight to guide his path. When he finally got closer, he noticed a young woman with blonde hair standing by the water. "Miss, is everything okay?" he asked as he made sure that the light wasn't shining directly in her eyes but was still trained on her. Then he glanced at the bottle, letting the line shine on it, and saw that it was a bottle of Tequila. "Okay, you mind giving that to me?" he asked, walking closer to her. ----------------------- ----------------------- Chelcie with her backpack on rode her bike through a new town; she had only recently arrived in Richmond and hasn’t checked out Mystic Falls yet. Not that it mattered really, she had been busy getting settled in which took time, not to mention going back to school, she had forgotten how boring that life was; but at the same time how much she missed having a normal life like that. This was why she did her best to keep her professional life separate from her personal life, though it still wasn’t the same and Chelcie loved that Harper had been the one who had raised her. Her life was badass now, she was now a badass hunter thanks to her adoptive father; she was a fighter, and damn proud knowing she could school anyone of the guys on campus if they ever gave her trouble, Harper had given her life back to her after that vampire took it away.
Driving fast through the streets of Mystic Falls she thought about that, the vampire that had took everything from her that she had sworn to destroy. She like everybody could never be sure on many things, but Chelcie was sure that she would find the evil bastard, and she was sure that she would kill the evil bastard, all she needed was time and time was all she had, since tracking the vampire down here she wasn’t planning on leaving anytime soon. Everything that was supernatural in some way were evil, and were all things that she has promised to kill, but vampires—vampires were the worst of the lot, it had only taken her experience with the one she was searching for to know that. She didn’t hate something often, but vampires were something she despised, and she would kill everyone last of them alone if she had to. But knowing that it was only time, Chelcie didn’t worry about finding that vampire, instead she turned her attention to her bike—her baby, and something that she loved more than any guy. Her well shined Ducati was the best thing in her life nothing mattered more than it did, nothing that she already had no boy, and definitely not more than the vampire himself. As she rode it she had gradually brought the bike up to its stop speed, she was well beyond the speed limit at this point though being a small town, and she thought there wouldn’t be any cop patrols. Not that she cared if there was; she would have been going as fast as she was even with the cops out and about tonight, she enjoyed going this fast way too much and at times it even frightened her, she loved the adrenaline rush and the wind blowing freely through her hair. It was freeing whenever she was on her bike, going fast was the only way she knew how to ride, maybe she was born to late and missed her era, she had always thought of it as a horse and the seat—her saddle, going fast bringing it to its peak speed was the only way she knew how to show it respect.
Chelcie at this point in at the speed she had been going was just coming up to the outskirts now. She knew this despite it being her first time in Mystic Falls, because the buildings had been less, she knew that she would have to turn back soon, though she could go a while longer before heading back. It didn’t take her long at the speed she was going to see two people ahead, near the river beside a bridge she sure a woman sitting on a rock, she had blonde hair like Chelcie had although what she were was completely different, for one the girl’s clothing was less edgy, and Chelcie would be caught dead wearing pink. The man, well he was obviously a cop from his uniform, Chelcie had to wonder if she had rode past him and not seen the guy; or if he had seen her, probably not though because he surely would have pulled her over otherwise.
The guy was probably a local and Chelcie decided to think that the blonde was as well, and tonight was as good as any other to get information on this town, maybe if she was good enough with her wording, she could find out just how big a problem this town had with evil. Keeping the speed that she had been going, she kept her wist pulled as far as it could go; until she probably should have began slowing down, it was only when Chelcie was probably at a distance that would have been uncomfortable for them, that she squeezed on her breaks causing her to come to a skidding stop. Off the road and behind the man, “Well if I knew there was a party here, then I probably would have come sooner.” Chelcie said grinning still hyped after her ride, with her aviators still covering her eyes.

----------------------- ----------------------- Caroline knew she was wallowing. She was hungry and she wanted to kill anyone who came into her path. She was tired of not knowing what was going to happen next. She had made a new ally in Rebekah, not something she had expected in a few life times. However the girl had offered her help and although Care didn't completely trust her she did trust that she hated Klaus at the moment and that was something to rely on. She had her own problems when it came to Klaus. She still didn't know what to make of that kiss and he had only contacted her once after that and even then those plans had fallen through. She was sure he wasn't in town because he hadn't been bugging her and yet she knew better than to think that, if he wanted to stay on the low down then he could easily disappear for a few weeks and still be right under their noses.
She heard the noise again and knew instantly it was a car driving onto the bridge. Great she was in plain sight and really couldn't be bothered to walk away or bur away for that matter. Besides it would only be a human that she could compel to forget they saw her. Or someone was looking for her which seemed unlikely. She heard the car pull to a stop and she rolled her eyes and let the beam of light hit her. She hissed quietly so the human wouldn't here. Yeah a human was coming towards the cranky hungry vampire, geesh wasn't he smart. She sighed a little and then saw the unform. Great a cop. Maybe she should get him to call her mom if she was on duty, surely he would have to listen to the sheriff that was providing he knew who she was even. Taking a long pull of her drink she watched him get closer and closer, she wanted to feed right there and then and took in three deep breaths trying to regain control of herself. She was about to vamp out.
The cop spoke to her and she inwardly growled at him but regained herself. She whipped her head around towards him her hair flying around her. Care was soo not in the mood for this. She put on her perky girly smile and nodded towards him, she was pretty wasted at this point. "Yup, everything is just fine officer thanks for asking" She smiled trying to come across as nice and happy although she was in the worst mood. Her ears picking up another vehicle approaching and she wanted to groan. Yeah as if she needed an audience here. He asked for her bottle and she stood and stared into his eyes. Her compulsion flowing through her. "No, you don't want this from me you are going to let me have it" She spoke, no way was she giving up her life line at the moment, he would be dead if he tried. When a motor bike pulled up Care eyed it carefully and took yet another long pull from the bottle before it was almost completely empty. She sighed, yeah she was going to need another one at this rate. She watched as a smaller blonde girl approached and she frowned, there was something about her that was a little off. Like she was about to start snooping like Dean had with her. Oh god not another hunter, as if she needed more trouble in her life!? She smiled a little as the girl approached. "Well there is the party pooper here as well. This wonderful officer trying to steal my alcohol. Ridiculous considering my mother is his boss" She spoke with a smile towards the guy. He was soo not stealing her alcohol. She finished off the bottle and handed him the empty. At least she handed it over right? -------------------------- -------------------------- Jesse's eyes flickered momentarily as the girl said that everything was fine. Everything wasn't fine. From what he could tell from her body language was that she was nervous and on edge about something. But what? Surely it couldn't just be that she had been caught drinking. I wonder what's up with her, he thought to himself. However, before he could ponder this any more, she told him that he didn't want to take the bottle away from her and that he was going to let her keep it, and he felt a slight pressure trying to invade his head. Compulsion. She was trying to use compulsion. Apparently, his deputy's uniform his his Vervain cuff better than he thought it did. Almost instantly, his expression became sympathetic. "Ohhhh...bad cravings, huh?" he queried. No wonder she's drinking, he thought to himself. She was probably wanting to rip off everybody's head and/or drain them dry. Well then, she could keep the Tequila. If it was keeping her stabilized, he wasn't going to take that away from her. How could he? He understood better than most just how bad the cravings could get. Okay, granted, it was second-hand as he was human, but he had seen his brother fight the cravings which had included a lot of alcohol. The first time Mick had taken to drinking, Jesse had been worried. After all, a sober vampire was bad enough, and he had been worried that his brother would do something extremely crazy. Then the other boy had explained that the alcohol seemed to help him, so Jesse had let it go as the whole vampire thing had been a "learn as you go" process for the both of them. Which brought him back to his original point: he wasn't going to be taking away the very thing that was helping the vampire in front of him keep herself attacking innocent people. But before he could tell her this, he heard the roar of a motorcycle engine coming up behind them and Jesse turned in the direction of the sound, his brows furrowing in confusion. Now what's going on? he wondered to himself. If the girl in front of him didn't feed soon, she was probably going to lose it and whoever this newcomer was, they weren't going to be helping things one little bit. If anything, they'd just make the vampire's cravings worse. He watched as the bike came to a halt and listened as a female voice stated that if she knew that there was going to be a party she would've come sooner. Jesse rolled his eyes as the first girl downed the liquor and then handed the empty bottle to him, saying that they even had a party-pooper in him given the fact that he had been trying to take her liquor, which was ridiculous considering that her mother was his boss. Ah, this must be the Caroline that Sheriff Forbes has talked about on occasion, he thought to himself. "And how would your mother feel knowing that you were drinking?" he pointed out. Not that he would tell the woman as it would probably raise a whole lot of questions that she couldn't answer, but he couldn't just act like he was going to let her off the hook. He had a job to do after all. Then, his thoughts were cut off as Caroline finished off the Tequila and handed it to him. "Thank you," he said, taking the bottle. He knew that it was probably really hard for her to do and he would've understood if she had decided to ignore him. But he was grateful that she had decided to hand the alcohol over. Now he just had to figure out how to get this other girl out of here before the vampire lost control. ----------------------- ----------------------- “Really, why would he do that? He must get nervous around a pretty girl.” Chelcie said implying that the man had ulterior motives for wanting to take the bottle, though really it was just meant as an ice breaker to weave herself in with the two, Chelcie knew what she said was lame. “I suppose you should give him some of that courage.” Chelcie said. Way to go girl; you have cheese down. She thought watching the girl down the rest of the bottle; sometimes she wondered why she even tried ice breakers, though she was surprised at meeting somebody, who could hold their alcohol. She had from what the girl was wearing, instantly pictured her as the sweet and innocent princess type. “Okay, if you just drank that entire thing you officially have me impressed!”
Chelcie had to wonder what a girl like this was doing out; at night. With everything she knows about the town, it couldn’t possibly safe for her, not after what she found out from Dean, what was she thinking unless of course she didn’t know, went on while she was tucked in bed. She could understand if the girl didn’t know, that the town she lived in had a dark side, Chelcie had once been like that which felt like so long ago, that was before that vampire had decided to visit her family, and just like that she envied her for having a normal life, if it hadn’t been for that vampire. The only thing that she would be worrying about now was, parties and boys; going to prom and all the things normal girls did as a rite of passage—who her first kiss would be with and all that. However that was only a small part of Chelcie, the other much larger part felt sorry for the girl; for not knowing about all the other things, this was what she felt privileged for know; and for Harper teaching her, how to defend herself and others.
The cop Chelcie wondered what his deal was, she guessed that he was probably patrolling given he was in uniform. But at this time in a small town, she wondered what the reason for a patrol was; if they were back in San Francisco then she would already know the answer to that, a nightly patrol would be common but she didn’t know how to live in a small town, or even what the small town’s police department actually did. They couldn’t surely be as busy as a larger metropolitan area, Mystic Falls didn’t look to enough people to cause problems for them, the police department could just there in case, though Chelcie had to wonder how interesting a small town cop could actually be.
“I’m Chelcie.” She said introducing herself to the two other people, walking to stand more in between the two. “Feel free to call me Maverick though, I like to keep going fast.” Chelcie said boasting about her shined up Ducati, it was her pride and joy she wasn’t married, nor did she plan on having kids anytime soon; her bike was the only thing that mattered. She definitely spoke of her bike a little too much, if it was a dude she probably would have jumped its bones already.

----------------------- ----------------------- Caroline knew that tonight was just getting worse and worse. Her mom was going to flip out when she found out about all of this and there was no way you can deny it, especially when there were witnesses. Technically Care could compel the witness providing that she wasn't wearing vervain but it seemed most of the people in this town wear it now. She sighed. Yeah she was hungry and there were two humans standing right in front of her, she was cranky and the two humans were easily breakable. She would have to inflict great self control tonight if she wanted to get out of here unscathed, along with the two humans having nothing wrong with them as well. The girl seemed to have a glint in her eye though, something Care had only seen in one other person. Alaric. Did this mean that the girl was a hunter or an alcohol she couldn't tell just yet.
Noticing her compulsion didn't actually work on the cop she frowned a little and took in a deep breath. Something she probably shouldn't do considering how much she could feel, hear and smell the blood pumping through people's veins. Yup there it was, vervain. He had vervain on him somewhere but she couldn't see a necklace ring or bracelet, well the fact he was wearing long sleeves didn't help. She wanted to growl. Her head snapped to his face when he said about bad cravings and she felt her own face shift. She turned away for a moment and rubbed her eyes a little. "How? How do you know?" She spoke as she turned back to face him. Somehow this cop knew all about vampires. Surely this meant he was either a hunter. She took on a more defensive stance, no way was this guy killing her tonight then again why hadn't he done it already? The girl made some comments about him being nervous around a pretty girl and Care smirked a little. Yeah sure that was totally it after what she had just found out, unlikely. "Yes well the bottle shop isn't too far, he could always do a quick run, buy another bottle and i'd happily share it this time" She spoke with a smirk but she had cautious eyes around him. She winked at the girl who was apparently impressed she had drunk the entire bottle of tequila. "Yes well give me an hour or so and I may end up flat on my ass and this very nice cop will have to take me home to his boss or my mom" She spoke with a smirk knowing how much trouble she was going to be getting into when she got home. It would be worth it if she didn't kill anyone though right? When the cop asked what her mother would think that she was drinking she wanted to spout out that she would prefer her daughter drinking than killing some innocent cop who apparently wasn't al that innocent. She shrugged him off instead and just smiled. "Why don't you ask her? So I must ask cop whats your name so I can remember to give you a great recommendation to my mom. Never know you might get a promotion to deputy or something" Caroline realised the alcohol was hitting her harder than she thought it would. Oh well she could shrug it off in a few hours but her cravings were dying down so it was working. The girl introduced herself and Care smiled. "Wow someone who doesn't know who I am. I'm Caroline Forbes. Miss Mystic Falls as you would say. Also your bike Chelcie is something to be admired" She said with a smile. -------------------------- -------------------------- Jesse couldn't help but roll his eyes as the second girl asked why he would take away the Tequila, adding that maybe he got nervous around pretty girls and needed liquid courage for himself. Then, the first girl added with a wink that there was a liquor store nearby and that he could make a quick run to grab a bottle, which she'd share. "Uh, no. When I'm nervous around girls, I tend to make enough of a fool out of myself while sober. No need to add alcohol to that," he corrected. Okay, that was probably more than they needed to know, but it was the truth. Besides, it wasn't just pretty girls he got nervous around. There had also been some guys. Not that anyone here knew that---and probably wouldn't ever. No one here knew that he was bi. It wasn't any of their business. And nerves wasn't the only reason he drank. In college, he had had a few drinks to loosen up at a party, which---according to his roommate at the time as well as some embarrassing photos---had led to him getting completely trashed and doing a striptease to Bruce Springsteen's "Dancing In The Dark". But yeah, anyways, moving on... After his comment on her cravings, the vampire seemed to be surprised that he knew what she was---not that he could blame her as it probably wasn't common knowledge---and asked him how he knew. "Let's just say it runs in the family," he answered simply. Hopefully, she'd just let it go at that since he didn't want to give her away to the other girl and she didn't need to know anything more than he wasn't going to bust her for drinking. And he wouldn't, though granted, the situation would be different if she was human. Okay, maybe it was bad that he had different standards for humans than he did vampires, but humans usually drank to forget their troubles or to get wasted, not to keep themselves from killing someone. So yeah, yeah, he'd be more lenient with the girl in front of him than he would someone else. And the draining of the Tequila had apparently impressed the other girl who stated as much, and Jesse had to admit, he found it pretty impressive himself, even though he knew she was a vampire. "I know of a few bartenders who probably would've applauded," he added. Okay, what was with him tonight? He wasn't usually so glib. Then the first girl admitted that in an hour she'd probably be completely wasted and would have to be taken home to her mother. "You're probably not wrong," he stated. After asking Caroline what her mother would think if she saw her drunk, she challenged him to ask her himself, and then asked him his name so that she could give the woman a recommendation which could lead to a promotion for him, which resulted in a chuckle from the deputy. I think the Tequila's just took effect, he thought to himself. "Jesse Murdoch," he responded. "And what do you say I give you a lift home?" he offered. Yes, offering a ride to a hungry and drunk vampire was risky, but it wasn't like he could let her wander the streets. It'd be better for everyone involved if he was the one who dealt with her. Granted, it'd be a bit different than helping Mick, but at least he knew what he was getting into. This other girl didn't. And speaking of the other girl, Jesse had to admit she had a sweet looking bike. Okay, so he wasn't that knowledgeable about cars and motorcycles, but he knew what he liked. And this bike, he liked. The second girl then introduced herself as Chelcie, adding that they could call her Maverick as she liked to go fast. "Maverick? Top Gun fan?" he asked. It wasn't that bad of a movie, though it wasn't really his type of a movie. He had always thought Die Hard was better. More action. And apparently, Caroline was surprised that Chelcie didn't know who she was and introduced herself, adding that she had been Miss Mystic Falls before complimenting the bike. "It is pretty nice," he agreed. I'd like to get something like that some day, he thought to himself. Of course, he'd have to get money for it first. And that was something that was a little tight these days. But then again, what'd he expect after moving? It wasn't like he had a million dollars in his account, though it wasn't so low that he couldn't pay his bills. And that's what he had to focus on right now: his bills. Even if he did want to blow it on something fun like a motorcycle... Word Count: 794---Geez, he doesn't know when to shut up. ----------------------- ----------------------- Chelcie saw the other blonde staring deep into his eyes, although with knowing next to nothing about what vampires could actually do, the young hunter shrugged it off as a stare down. That couldn’t be far from the truth, could it? She obviously hadn’t wanted to give up her liquor bottle; Chelcie would have been the same because taking a drink from her, her body would have had to go cold and stiff. For the blonde’s sake, it was probably a good thing, that Chelcie didn’t know what a vampire’s face looked like, upon shifting; as veins began to get visible around their nose line, she had only seen a couple of vampires, but had never paid much attention to that. Or she couldn’t pay much attention, with fighting for her life, even with that one vampire; who had taken her family from her, the room had been near pitch black.
“Careful now buddy, keep talking like that and I may just be inclined to keep a camcorder trained on you.” Chelcie joked as the cop stated that he didn’t need alcohol to be able to make him look like a fool. Not that she would mind either way, alcohol generally brought the fun out in people, it was why she drank; well that and her real father would have never allowed her to, so maybe she drank alcohol because she had freedom now—slightly bittersweet it was though. “Anyway, booze doesn’t make you look like a fool. It just helps bring your true self out which is awesome.”
Eyes widening in surprise, that the blonde in front was the daughter of the local sheriff. Chelcie was even more determined to get some information tonight, it didn’t have to be about her vampire; it was quite obvious that both Richmond and Mystic Falls, were overrun by ever bloodsucking fiends; and other creatures. Surely the daughter of the sheriff would know, she might even luck out with this cop, he might know of some things, Chelcie was willing to settle for even the smallest information; if it helped in cleansing the town. “Oh, really?” the young hunter finally said in surprise, “don’t take this the wrong way, but you don’t look like you would be a sheriff’s daughter.” Chelcie stated, referring to Caroline’s Barbie doll look—like something out of that Britney Spears music video.
When she introduced herself as Maverick, it wasn’t just a catch phrase; or because she liked the movie—she did. Chelcie lived the movie, with every hour she was awake; and anytime she jumped on her bike, going fast was her life and it was the only thing she knew. At times Chelcie’s introduction could come across as lame, and a bad joke but honestly; she wasn’t joking whenever she said it, thank the fact that she had little girl friends for that. “I have issues I know, I can’t seem to be able to take anything slowly.” Then speaking to both the cop and the girl, “Yeah thanks dude and dudette, I do clean him every day so he better look sexy,” Chelcie told them smugly, she had never understood the concept of modesty; though she was actually a dude in a tiny chick’s body.
Thinking how best to phrase the beginning of her questioning, Chelcie stood silent for only a few moments before speaking, “so I guess both of you are locals, right—either of you wouldn’t happen to know a guy, with short shaggy dark hair, about six foot; and who puts the ass in jackass?”

----------------------- ----------------------- Caroline knew this was all going to end up getting back to her mom. She would be pissed and probably attempt to ground Care, although everyone knew that nothing could keep a teenager in if they wanted out. However she didn't care right then. She was hungry and getting pissed off although the alcohol and curbed it for probably a few hours, getting numbed out on alcohol wasn't exactly the best way but at least it couldn't kill her right? However she wondered about this police officer. Jesse was certainly showing signs as though he knew what she was and how to deal with them. The fact that he had changed his mind on the alcohol without even being compelled said everything she needed to know. Of course he was also wearing vervain but she just didn't know where. She would have to get him alone another night to see how he knew what she was.
The back and forth banter was comforting. Something that was actually normal in her life so she couldn't exactly complain. She listened carefully and couldn't stop her own giggle at his words. This was something she would have to see. "But that's the point right Chelcie? You make more of a fool of yourself generally the prettier girls will go for you because it makes you look cute and everything." She knew she had been like that, going for the guys who could be shy at times, unless it was Klaus. He was not her usual type and yet she still couldn't stop thinking about him. She shook herself mentally, now was soo not the time to be going there. "What do you think Chelcie should we convince the wonderful cop here to go and buy us more drinks?" She asked with a smile. Care made a small curtsey at his words about bartenders applauding. She couldn't help it that the alcohol had gone right through her she would be sober within the hour though and the bloodlust would be back. Hopefully these two weren't here by then. "I am pretty spectacular I must say. I'd whip anyone's ass in a drinking competition." She said with a smile. At the girls words about her not looking like a sheriffs daughter she shrugged. "Yeah I get that a lot. It's alright though I'm awesome. I never see my mom but we're cool. Of course me getting into trouble with the law for underage drinking is soo not a good thing for me but hey what ever" Care realised she had now started rambling and needed to find a way to shut herself up before she started spreading the word vampire around. She giggled a little when Jesse offered her a lift home and shook her head. Geesh what a party pooper, home was the last place she wanted to be right now, plus her mom had finished her shift so she was home tonight. "Wow what a party pooper you are! No way am I going home. However if you want to hang out for a bit i'm more than willing. You can drive me home in an hour or so" She winked once and then turned her attention back to Chelcie. She went on about her bike and everything and Caroline loved cars and bikes so she was impressed. She smiled and nodded. "Well it is a sweet ride. You'll have to swing by my place one time and give us a ride on the back, it looks like so much fun" She said with a smile, the thought of being on the back of a bike sounded like fun actually. The next question sounded a little off. Maybe a little too inquisitive. Not something she needed. Caroline knew that hunters came to town and asked questions, not something she was interested in really. However the girl was obviously looking for someone but she just wasn't really giving many descriptions. She shrugged a little. "You've just described like half of Mystic Falls. Your going to have to do a bit better than that. Do you have a name because that would help in your search? Why do you want to know if we know them anyway? How would you know them if your new to town like this handsome cop here?" The cop was new as Caroline knew everyone on the force now. However the girl was asking a question that Care wasn't sure if she wanted to answer. Things could get ugly and fast. -------------------------- -------------------------- Jesse knew that the vampire's attempt to compel him probably looked like a stare down of some sort, but he didn't really care...as long as the other girl didn't figure anything out. It was the last thing that this vampire needed. But it would appear that she hadn't figured anything out, which was good. After his comment about making a fool out of himself, the other girl said that if he kept making comments like the one he had just made, she'd get the urge to keep a camera trained on him. "No. Trust me, you don't want that," he told her. Well, more like he didn't want that as with his luck she'd end up capturing something career-ending, but he was bound and determined to not let that happen. When she went on to say that rather than making you look like a fool, alcohol just tended to bring out your true self, Jesse shook his head. "Let's hope that's not true with me then," he stated. If him doing a strip-tease to Springsteen was the real him, he'd prefer to keep that part of himself under lock and key, thank you very much. But the vampire seemed to agree with the second girl, stating that acting like a fool generally attracted girls because you had a tendency to look adorable. "If you say so," Jesse smirked. He wasn't too convinced that what they were saying was true, and besides, there wasn't really a good way to comment on this. He then refocused his attention on the vampire as she asked the second girl if they should ask him to pick them up more alcohol. "What are you trying to do, get me fired my first week here?" he asked, only half-joking. Not that he'd be buying them any alcohol down the line anyways, but still... Jesse smirked as the vampire curtsied and stated that she was pretty spectacular and that she'd whip anybody in a drinking competition. "Why don't I doubt that?" he asked with a chuckle. Okay, he really needed to stop joking around like this. He was on duty and he wasn't supposed to be making jokes about underage drinking. Was he looking to get fired or something? And apparently the other girl didn't think that the first girl looked like she could be a sheriff's daughter, something that she commented on, adding that she meant no offense. What'd she expect her to look like? Brandi Thorson or something? he wondered, his mind going to a book he had read about a mother and daughter bounty hunting team. But then again, she did have a good point. The girl in front of them was blonde haired, brown-eyed, and looked like she had the body of a cheerleader. Who would expect someone who looked like that to be the sheriff's daughter? Or even a vampire? Okay, he was getting off track here, which was odd. He didn't often get off track like this. Then again, this wasn't exactly a normal situation, so he supposed that it made sense that he wasn't acting in the usual way. Well, at least the girl didn't seem to mind the comment, saying that she got that a lot but it was fine as she was awesome, rambling on saying that she didn't get to see her mother all that much, but they got along all right, though her getting arrested for underage drinking wouldn't be good. "Probably not," Jesse agreed. After his offer, Caroline giggled and said that she wasn't going home but if he wanted to hang out for an hour he could and he could take her home then. "Fair enough," he said. But then again, could he justify staying here for an entire hour? Even though this was the graveyard shift and it had been pretty slow, he did have other places he had to patrol. But maybe he could figure something out. After introducing herself, Chelcie said that she had issues as she couldn't do things slowly and then thanked them for their compliments on her bike, adding that she cleaned her bike every day so it had better look sexy, Jesse shook his head in amusement. "You sound like my old partner," he stated with a fond grin. If you asked him, it was pretty unhealthy the way his partner had gone on and on about his motorcycle, but he had never said so out loud and he wasn't about to say this to a girl he had just met who seemed to have his partner's mindset. He then chucked at Caroline's comment about the bike. He couldn't blame her for wanting to take a ride on it as it did look like it could go pretty fast. Then Chelcie changed the subject, saying that since they were both locals, they would probably know a couple of guys she was looking for and then went on to give a generic description. "Ummm...I'm new in town actually, and I'm going to need some specifics," he admitted. Because really, with a description like he had just been given, it could be anyone in town. As if thinking the same thing, Caroline spoke up, saying that it described half of the guys in town and a name would probably help her in her search, wondering why Chelcie wanted to know, and confirming that Jesse was indeed new to the Mystic Falls Police Department. That being said, he was also curious as to who Chelcie was looking for and why. After all, if he wanted to do his job successfully, it'd be best if he got to know all of the inhabitants of the town, even the newer ones. Word Count: 949. ----------------------- ----------------------- “Mind you it also doesn’t help, when you can out drink most dudes; they usually tend to become defensive.” Chelcie said with a knowing looking toward Caroline, taking a playful rib at the police officer. She hoped Jesse didn’t think they were ganging up for him, for being an officer—and a guy, she didn’t mean it like that and really she was just impressed at seeing the blonde drink, Chelcie would have to be sure to get Caroline’s number tonight, and then going out drinking some other time, the blonde girl did seem like she would be able to drink all night. They could make some money also, by using their drinking skill to win bets; there was just something about horny drunk dudes; that was easy to scam them. “Oh I don’t know; I could audition you for big brother with the tape.” Chelcie said, continuing to tease Jesse with the threat of a camcorder. A threat that she would absolutely follow through with, but wouldn’t—probably. “A rugged copper could fit in nicely on a reality TV show, just a hint though you might want to remove your shirt.” She said, changing the teasing to a light flirt and a wink. Chelcie did like Caroline’s idea with getting him to by more booze, and what better way than to feed his ego.
“I won’t tell if you won’t tell.” Chelcie told Caroline, an answer to what Jesse had said about getting him fired. It what was the blonde had said however, that caused her to laugh amused with the girl’s confidence. “Cute, that’s cute but maybe next time be careful who you say that to—somebody might just come along and challenge you?” Chelcie had said it anonymously; however her challenge was still quite clearly there for both of them to hear. Perhaps she was only stereotyping and putting the girl into a pretty bland pocket, If Chelcie would have just walked past Caroline, then Chelcie would have thought she was a bouncy—bubbly energetic cheerleader, and one who got into her share of trouble. She hasn’t met too many police daughters, if Harper hadn’t taken her a way, she would have probably then been on the other end, somebody who did get into trouble with the law, all kids did eventually she was just lucky enough that Harper kept her—very ground. “I guess you never miss a homework night, right?” Chelcie joked, and really there was a hint of pity under her voice, Harper had been like that with her.
“That’s the spirit dude, if your gonna shirk work then what better way than with two blondes!” Chelcie told Jesse, excited and still blatantly hinting on him replacing the alcohol; although truthfully she was about to do that herself. “Maybe now we can test out your copper car?” she suggested to officer Murdoch, wondering what the how much of a prospect there was, Jesse was so obviously on patrol, so Chelcie gathered that the chances were slim; still it never hurt to try. She then turned her attention to Caroline; as they continued talking about her bike, “pfft, please if you’re going to do something, then you might as well do it right and take the reins.” Chelcie said, telling the blonde girl to just go for it. There was just nothing like it, always staying in the fast lane was a way of life, there was no point in taking corners and going slow, in her case it was more than a way of life; it was an addiction.
“Well I’ll just take that as a compliment dude; just think of me as your old partner just with a better figure.” She didn’t really know how to take the compliment, Chelcie was usually on the opposite end of a police officer, as a hunter she often found herself in trouble with the law; unable to explain often the unexplainable. Although she supposed that this was a good thing really, if she seemed just like this officer’s old partner, it could mean that when she needed to she was able to seem like a cop herself. This would have to be better than not being able to act like one, however now after finding out that Caroline was the daughter of the chief, she was regretting not dressing up to see if she couldn’t scam the girl—or the cop; she might have been able to get some folders from the station. Chelcie still could, it wasn’t like she had told them what job she had she could have been an officer from San Francisco.
Chelcie didn’t really know who she was looking for, let alone even have a name to go on. She was young when the vampire had killed her younger brother, and it wasn’t like she was able to tell them what she was looking for, that was a one way trip the crazy house. She had only been a little girl then, and it had been dark Chelcie couldn’t even be sure that who she had seen was male, the creature could have been female for all she knew, she had next to nothing on the vampire; except that it was settling in this town. “A name, yeah I bet that would help,” she said sarcastically not really toward either of them, “I’m not even sure what the person still looks like.” Chelcie admitted.
Knowing that she wasn’t going to be getting much further in her search, at least for tonight, Chelcie decided to change the subject. “So what do you both save I leave you two to get cosy, while I head down to the closest store and get us some more booze.” Chelcie said without turning it into a question, as she jumped on her bike.

----------------------- ----------------------- Caroline could feel the effects of the alcohol, of course she could. She had drunk an entire bottle of tequila to herself and something like that tended to get in the way of being able to think straight. She shrugged off their comments easily enough. "Guys get defensive no matter what you do" She spoke and could feel the world around her starting to spin and not stop. She should probably sit down but now her vampire urges were back, she was hungry. She was trying to block out some of the chatter but couldn't. However she should be concentrating on the conversation. "Why not take your shirt off? I mean it would get you famous! Isn't that what everyone wants? I agree with Chelcie though, I won't tell if you don't" She put her finger to her lips with a small playful smile behind them. Caroline smiled as he chuckled and didn't doubt that she could kick some major ass. However her limits had been hit and anything else she would be on her ass, at least everything had stopped spinning so much. "If your challenging me now Chelcie then it wouldn't be classed as fair. Your sober and I most certainly am not. However I so accept for another day. If the cop joins in as well. What's a bit of drinking with the underage?" She asked with a slight giggle. Yeah the alcohol was really taking it's hits now. She shrugged at his comment about not being a good thing about getting arrested. "Awe are you really going to arrest me when you know why I'm drinking in the first place? Plus who would want to put me behind bars like really. Also I always miss homework dates but it's always done on time" She spoke with a shrug. Care winked at Chelcie for her comment about the two blondes. She nodded her head. "it's true what they say you know. Blondes really do have more fun! Now all that's missing is the next bottle" She said with a smile. Chelcie must have thought the same thing and asked about his cop car. Care jumped up and down twice clapping. "pretty please officer?" She smirked. Yeah alcohol was not what she needed right now but whatever. Caroline grinned excitedly but a somewhat rational part of her brain clicked in. She might be a vampire but that was a sweet ride. "Honestly!? Well maybe you can come find me like in two days time when I'm sober and I'll totally test your theory" She spoke with a smile. She really needed to sit down but also wanted to dance, or kill someone. Caroline found herself staring at Jesse's neck. The cop had it exposed as he was talking to the other blonde and the vein pumping there was very visible. She let it catch her eyes and her face started to change. She turned around and pretended to sneeze but really took in three deep breaths and felt herself go back to normal. "Sorry! Bless me" She smiled and then focused on the conversation and not the exposed neck. She smiled at the girls words. "Yeah I mean I'm more than sure that your old partner did not look like that I mean I don't swing that way or anything but you are smoking hot there" She smiled at the blonde. There was something about her that she could see guys easily getting attracted to, that wasn't including the bike that she rode. Caroline shrugged when Chelcie couldn't produce a name or even a better description. Wow that could take a while if she was looking for someone with that type of description. "Well you know if you think of anything else come to me. I know everything and everyone around here so if I've ever seen him or I know him, I'll come straight to you" She spoke with a nod. She was still hungry though. Care winked and smiled at the girl, it sounded like a good idea to her. "Sounds like a plan to me girl! Come on cop, you know you want in on this and really who are we going to tell?" She said with a smile as she watched Chelcie get herself sorted on her bike. Jesse seemed like a nice guy and she didn't want him loosing his job but for him to loosen up a little around them both. -------------------------- -------------------------- Jesse listened as Chelcie stated that that it didn't help when you could out-drink most guys, which made them defensive and then Caroline added that most guys got defensive no matter what. "On the behalf of my gender: hey," he objected with a slight laugh. He wasn't even really offended as he knew that they were just teasing, but a part of him felt like he at least had to make some sort of interjection. He then rolled his eyes as she said she could use a tape of him to get on big brother, adding that his occupation made him a perfect candidate, though he would probably want to take his shirt off, and Caroline agreed that it would make him famous, asking if that wasn't what most people wanted. "Nope, not happening. Unh-uh," he replied with a shake of his head. That's the last thing anyone wants to see, he thought to himself. Besides, he didn't even like reality shows. He then grinned as Chelcie stated that she wouldn't tell about him buying the liquor as long as he or Caroline didn't tell either and Caroline added to the promise, even putting a finger to her lips for emphasis. "Well, I won't be telling because I won't be buying. I have a feeling that in this town, it would be found out one way or another," he said. Granted, he didn't really know much about the town, but it was a small town and it already seemed like everybody knew everything about one another. Then again, he could be imagining things. He Then Chelcie told Caroline that she should be careful of who she said she'd whip in a drinking contest as she never knew who could decide to take her up on that challenge and Caroline said they could do it another day as long as Jesse joined them. "I don't think I should be hearing this conversation," he stated. If they were planning on getting drunk, he wanted no knowledge of it. After all, he had a job he had to do and he couldn't do it if his position was compromised, which meant that he wouldn't be drinking with them as they seemed to be suggesting before they turned their conversation to homework. He then let out a bit of a scoffing laugh as she told him that he had the right spirit and that if he was gonna shirk work, he might as well do it with two blondes and Caroline stating that blondes had more fun and that all that was missing was the next bottle. Okay, not even touching that one, he thought to himself. There was a fine line between joking around and engaging in improper behavior and he wasn't going to cross that line. When Chelcie asked if they could try out his patrol car, causing Caroline to jump up and down, asking if they could. "Sorry, but this isn't exactly Smokey and the Bandit," he deadpanned. For one thing, neither of them were looking to run from a marriage. As far as he knew anyway. And for another, it had only been one girl with the Bandit, not two. And okay, he needed to get off that train of thought. And Chelcie was talking to Caroline again, and from the sound of it, she was giving her permission to ride her bike, which seemed to please the young vampire who said that she'd have to take her up on the offer when she was sober. And obviously, she wasn't quite sure how to take his comment, saying that she'd take it as a compliment and that he could think of her as his former partner just with a better figure. "It is a compliment," he assured. Okay, yeah, the guy had been obsessive when it came to his bike, but he had been a good guy and the type of person you wanted having your back, so yeah, it was a compliment. Pretty much. He then watched as Caroline turned around, apparently sneezing before she turned back to them, excusing herself and then adding that she was pretty sure his old partner hadn't looked like Chelcie, calling her "Smoking hot". "No. No, he didn't," he agreed. He then frowned thoughtfully as Chelcie said that a name would be helpful and then admitted that she wasn't really sure what the guy she was looking for even looked like. "That's gotta be tough---looking for a needle in a pile of needles," he stated. Okay, so the expression was looking for a needle in a haystack, but honestly, that didn't really make sense as you could sift through a haystack until you felt the needle and with the vague description of the guy she had been given, it was like looking for a particular needle when you had a bunch of them at your disposal. Almost as if she was thinking the same thing, Caroline told Chelcie to come to her if she thought of anything else as she knew everyone and everything around Mystic Falls and would come to her if she saw him. Jesse then watched as Chelcie hopped onto her bike as she suggested leaving him and Caroline alone together while she got more liquor. "If you actually have a place big enough to store some bottles on that bike, I'll be impressed," he admitted. He then turned to Caroline who had approved of Chelcie's plan and then urged him to get on board with the plan, asking who they would tell. "Sorry, I'm going to have to pass and if you don't want me to arrest you, I'd better continue my patrol. After all, I can't bust you if I didn't witness anything," he responded. Okay, so he wasn't exactly following protocol here, but at least he was giving them a break. With that, he turned in the direction he had come from. Yes, he had agreed to give Caroline a ride in about an hour and he'd come back to get her, but like he had told the girls, he couldn't witness them drinking without being forced to arrest them and if Caroline was going to be drinking so that she didn't drain the populous, he'd rather not have to come up with a lie to explain to Sheriff Forbes why he hadn't done his duty. ----------------------- Chelcie sniggered at Caroline’s words, the girl had completely taken her by surprise, at the first glances Chelcie, could have sworn that the other blonde was just another one of those princess teenagers. Understandably too with how Caroline chose to dress, though Chelcie knew that she shouldn’t stereotype as much, it was only really because she herself hated wearing dresses and heels. Some days even she had to wonder if she was really a girl, and not a boy stuck in a girl’s body, Chelcie knew that she must have seemed like this to a few passer Byers back in San Francisco.
“Oh don’t worry, I’m sure we aren’t totally wrong, I’m just going by what I generally see. Chicks, being better then men at pretty much everything.” Chelcie said with a laugh, and she was starting to like the police officer more and more, he did seem like a cool dude, he certainly had been taking her and Caroline’s joking well. “You know what Caroline?” Chelcie asked trying her best innocent impression, although knowing she was probably failing with it, she had never been one to be a cute and sweet girl, she was a tomboy through and through; Chelcie was more at home wearing jeans and a tank, and joining in with humor that might put other girls off. “I think he needs a little bit of help, care to assist him.” The statement had sounded as if it should have been a question instead; however Chelcie hadn’t actually meant anything by it.
Chelcie hadn’t been planning on doing any drinking this night; let alone any serious drinking, but after seeing the other girl in front of her, and how she was able to drink an entire bottle on tequila by her lonesome, Chelcie wanted to test herself, this was in the same way, how some guys may get competitive about their manhood and drinking. Instead she just rolled her eyes, acting more disappointed than she was saying, “well okay, and I’m sure Jesse probably wouldn’t want to have a girl’s night out. However I have been wrong before.” It was a way to help the police officer by giving him an out, however in typical Chelcie fashion; she also had a rib at the guy. Ears perking up, Chelcie wasn’t able to resist adding another, of what she thought would be a witty statement. Being the new girl in town though, she was probably trying harder then she would normally, but hey she had information to get and what better way to do that; then to get chummy with a few of the locals. “I don’t know, something tells me Orange is just your color.”
Not that Chelcie was clueless when it came to the night, but she clearly knew very little about what vampires were, when Caroline turned away to supposedly sneeze, Chelcie had thought she had been doing just that, she didn’t really know what a vampire actually looked like. It had been almost pitch black, that time when that vampire had attacked her household and that was still for the most part very blurry, and so even if she had known what was happening, she still hadn’t been able to see the face of a vampire.
It didn’t take Chelcie all that long to drive to the nearest liquor store, the streets were pretty empty for the time that it was, and anyway, she had no doubt that if she had gone with Jesse; this booze run would have taken longer. Which there wasn’t anything wrong with that, he was probably a swell guy. Chelcie just got the feeling that he wasn’t somebody who usually would go above the current speed limit. If you actually have a place big enough to store some bottles on that bike I’ll be impressed. Jesse’s statement had began to run through Chelcie’s had, she had figured getting more alcohol had been a good idea at the time, however what she had failed to realize, was how she was actually going to be able to get the bottles back. nice was Chels Chelcie thought as she paid for two bottles, doing up her leather jacket, she would only be able to buy two bottles, as she was going to attempt and with great skill—and a bit of luck, to carry them back inside her jacket.
The ride back to Wickery Bridge had been a great deal slower, with having two tequila bottles inside her jacket; Chelcie’s sides had even begun to burn; from having had to squeeze tightly to keep her focus, so the bottles wouldn’t fall. She hadn’t been planning on drinking a whole lot, but maybe if she kept feeding Caroline alcohol, then eventually you might learn something about that vampire. Chelcie didn’t know a whole lot, but she had a few other ideas although, those ideas she would like to keep hidden.
“Oh,” Chelcie said a little disappointed not seeing Jesse the cop, she had been hoping on trying to drill him for info as well. “I had been hoping he would have been able to have seen, these two bottles.” Chelcie stated to Caroline, as she unzipped her leather jacket, referring to the officer’s earlier statement.
