There had not been anything in Ellen’s upbringing that would have shown she would have been a hunters as most hunters came from generations of hunters. She did not have parents who had been hunters or an uncle or anything like that. No her life had changed the day she had meet with William, it was then she had known that she was going to live a different life than the one her mother would have wanted for her, but she was okay with that. It simply meant that things would be somewhat different for her now. She never was as much of a hunter as William was or as Jo was. But she could still hold her own in a battle. She was not born for this, nor had she been raised into it but it was a part of who she was and she knew she would never change her mind about it.
Even know that she had died because of it, she was not taking this as a second chance to a normal life. She was a hunter now and that was never going to change. Ellen though for a moment. “well I got into hunting when I meet my husband, he was a hunter. I open a bar where hunters could meet, exchange stories. I spent more time there than doing actual hunting, at least until my husband died.” The memory of William was still fresh and strong in her mind but she had learn to move on from it, she still loved him more than anything but she knew that William would never have wanted her to be unhappy. He would have wanted her to honor his memory, keep going, keep fighting.
It was strange to talk about what had happen to her specially since she had no idea what had really happen. “well yeah. I mean I was in heaven and then I was not. I have no idea why I’m here or even who brought me back.” Ellen smiled. “no I don’t mind you asking and it’s actually a cool hunter story I guess. I died helping safe the world from the apocalypse.” Ellen started trying to find a way to make the story as short as possible. “We had hellhounds after us and we needed to stop them. I stayed behind with my daughter who had been injured. We blow them back to hell but staying behind also meant that I was not going to make it out of there alive.” Ellen said. Now the fact that she had died was something she was okay with it. It was mostly the fact that Jo had not made it out of there alive that killed Ellen. Just the memory of it was enough to shake her to her core. “and it was how I ended up in heaven and now well here I have no clue how I got here.

---------------- ---------------- Satsu wondered how one started out as a hunter, it wasn’t like a Slayer were they were called and chosen into this. She guess that it something had to happen to trigger one to be a hunter. Which meant that Ellen must have had something happen to her to take this life, Satsu wouldn’t mind being a hunter at all. She was so into fighting evil to the point it would be a great job for her to take on. Fighting demons, vampire, or what have you just comes natural to her, she really couldn’t picture herself doing anything else.
“I’m sorry for your loss, what happened if you don’t mind me asking?“ Asked the concerned Slayer. It was sad to her that Ellen had lost her husband, it had to be hard for her with out him. But it made Satsu wonder why she continued to hunt with out him? You think she would want to stop it all with out him. “Can I ask you why you still hunted with out him, wouldn’t that have made it harder for you?” She asked. “I mean I don’t mean to seem nosey I’m just curious that all.” She just wanted to know more about Ellen, she was so nice and Satsu just hoped to be there a bit more for her. She could tell that something was eating her right off the bat when they met.
It seemed crazy that she had no idea to how she was here, which explained a lot to why she seemed clueless and lost. Satsu would hate if she was brought back with no explanation at all. “That’s is just nuts that you have no idea how you were brought back, maybe I could help you find out some how?” She wanted to help her in anyway that she could, Satsu was interested to hear some answers for her to. It was crazy but it seemed that this town had a thing for people just coming back all the sudden.
It was pretty cool to hear that she had helped save the world, but the out come on what happened to her was pretty sad to hear. “Wow you are so brave to do that, your daughter sounds like she has a great mom. Sorry to hear about what happened to her, I’m guessing she didn’t make it back with you then?”

Ellen gave Satsu a small smile. “thank you and no I don’t mind you asking.” She said taking a moment. While it had been years since William had passed away it still didn’t make it easy to talk about him. She licked her dry lips. “he was on a hunt, things didn’t go so well…” she started. She never knew really what had happen in details. Ellen had of course talked with John about it, he had been the only one to come back from the hunt, but not having been there had made harder for Ellen to see things for what they really were. She had trouble believing John.
The woman had blamed john for her husband death but eventually she had learn to forgive him, she knew William would never want her to hold a grudge for this. “He died doing what he was born to do. From what I heard it was not something that could have been changed, I mean I know hunting is never easy and hard things can often happen.” Part of her wished she had known what had happen but sometimes it was better to never know than be mad at someone for something you could not change. “I guess that I wanted to follow in his footsteps in a way. I never was a full blown hunter like he was. But still it felt familiar you know? I know William would have rather I quit the life all together but it was not something I could do. And when my bar burned down, well it was more or less the only thing I had left.” She explained. The road house had been her home.
“yeah if you could help that be great. Right now I will take all the help I can get.” Ellen knew that her usual contacts would have trouble believing it was really her so she knew she needed to come up with something that would help prove that she really was who she was saying she was. “So as a slayer, you deal with the supernatural a lot, have anything strange happening lately? Anything out of the ordinary?” any lead that could let her know what maybe had happen to her she was going to take.
“Thank you, I think she is still in heaven. I hope she is still there. Don’t get me wrong, I would much rather have my daughter alive but the idea that maybe she is just around here somewhere and has no idea what is going on, it kind of really kills me.” She said.

-------------------------------- It was sad to hear what happened to her husband and it had to be hard, knowing that he died on a hunt. It made her wonder if she wished she could have helped seeing that she was a hunter. It would kill Satsu if one of her fellow slayers was killed. It would make her wish she was there, make her wish she could do something to help. That’s how Satsu was anyway but then again she is one that blames herself way to much, something that Buffy is trying to get her in the habit out of. Even though she still doesn’t stop, she guessed that she will never learn. “I’m sorry to hear about that, It must be hard.” She said in a sad like tone.
She was right things do happen it was a chance you take when fighting to protect people, it does have a great feeling and cause but sometimes it has bad out comes. Things do happen often same can happen to Satsu but it’s a risk she is willing to take. “Yeah being a hero isn’t easy, but it sounds like he went down making you pround and doing what he loved to do.” She said with a smile.
She could understand why she felt she needed to do this, following in his foot steps. Trying to be a great hunter like she was, Satsu though it was really sweet that she was doing that. “I’m sure wherever he is really proud of you. But I’m sure he also worries for you, it can be dangerous out there.” Said the Slayer.
She could tell that she was happy that Satsu was going to helping her out, she was as well Satsu liked Ellen and was happy to make friend from it. Plus she could be a good team mate in helping out on a hunt. Which she could tell Ellen was ready and claming on board for asking if she dealt with a lot in the Supernatural here lately. “Well I have not been here in this town long, but from what Buffy tells me you name it they got it. This town really is a strange one, people coming back, monsters. That why we are here to take care of it all.” She explained.
She could understand why she felt that way about her daughter, it was sad her not being here but she was at peace. She didn’t need to worry about this crazy world and all that came with it. But one thing that she was missing was this great lady that she could tell loved her so much. “Yeah I can understand that, but we do need to keep our eyes open. I mean if you are here she could be you know.” Said Satsu

Even after all this years and even after she had come with the fact that her husband was dead, Ellen was still hurt whenever she talked about it. It was like she was reliving it every time. It had gotten easier at one point but now she felt like it was at a standstill, nothing ever changed after that moment. It didn’t hurt as much as it had the first time but it was still painful. Still something she had trouble dealing with. She didn’t let it show because she knew it would cause her more pain if people were to start feeling sorry for her. “Yeah it was hard but it is something you get used to, as strangely as this sound.” Ellen said with a sad smile.
“yup I would have never seen William going out in any other way. I guess it’s kind of like, once a hunter always a hunter. It was part of who he was and clearly nothing could have changed him. While I wish things would have been different, if he was going to die, I would much rather he had died doing what he loved than old and sick in a hospital hating his life.” She had known William would never be old, just like she had known she would live the same fate. Of course things had been different for her since she had died and was now back. “thank you for saying this. It does mean a lot to me.” Ellen said. She knew William would have wish she had took another path in her life but it was not something she could do.
“Buffy, you mean the slayer that is like the head one right?” Ellen said remembering Satsu mentioning the other slayer. “Well I guess it can somewhat explain how I found myself back here…” Ellen thought outloud. Whoever had brought her back clearly had not brought her here to go sight seeing. There was a lot of supernatural around town and maybe Ellen was actually here to help. Not that she would mind helping out. She actually was looking forward to it. That was of course if they needed her help. She was not going to force herself on anyone around here but with the way Satsu was talking, Ellen was hoping that she meant that she wanted her around to help as well.
“yeah maybe she is here, or maybe they decided to leave her alone and let her enjoy her time in heaven.” Ellen said. “So any things else I need to know about this town other than the fact that all monsters were actually living here right now. “I wanna be prepared for whatever might come my way and it might help to understand how I found myself here in the first place.”

--------------------------------It wasn’t strange she understood exactly what she was talking about, it was something that you get use to over time. Like the fact that Satsu wished her family didn’t hate her, excepted and loved who she was. But they didn’t at all they hated who she was and the fact that she left home. So as sad as it was Satsu had gotten use to it, even though it was hard but she still she was dealing. “Yeah I understand what you mean, its not strange at all.” Said Satsu. “But it isn’t easy getting use to it I mean, it takes awhile.”
She agreed Satsu wouldn’t mind going down doing what she loves, saving a few in the process in her dying. But then again she can see herself doing that, surfacing herself to save the good of the world. Kind of like something Buffy would do, which was why she would kill Satsu for doing it. “Yeah I’m sure he is happy that he went down doing what he did best, I know that I wouldn’t want to die laying in a bed somewhere. Even though I’m sure I will, Buffy would kill me if I died on the job.” Said the Slayer while rolling her eyes. She smiled after she thanked her, she could tell that she had cheered Ellen up. “No problem Ellen just know I’m here any time you need someone, I have all my friends backs.”
“Yes Buffy is the leader of the Slayers, the head one I guess you could say.” She said with a smile. “I think you would like Buffy you too will have to meet, she might know a think or two on how you got here” Buffy may know something and if not she may know someone that could help Ellen. After all coming to this town Buffy had made friends with a lot of people, so it was clear to say she had connections. “You know I’m not sure but I think Buffy may know a few hunters as well.”
She hoped that maybe she would get what she wanted and her daughter would be at peace, it was a lot better then her dealing with all this anyway. She wanted to know what else there was that she needed to be aware of in this town, and really Satsu couldn’t think of much. “Well Buffy had told me that there are Demons and Angel here as well, which to me sounds just nuts done it?” She asked her thinking that it sounded ridiculous.

There was something in Satsu’s eyes, something that was telling Ellen this girl had lived a lot and it was not just because of the supernatural. There was something else. And her mother heart ached for it. She hated knowing that this girl was dealing with some sort of pain and there was nothing she could do to help her. Well so far there was nothing she could do she would have to start by getting to know her first and she was unsure if Satsu would let her get that close, then again, Ellen had already shared something rather big with the girl so maybe she would want to share more then perhaps? ‘’Its nice to have someone around that actually understand what I`m talking about…’’
‘’yeah I guess it’s something slayers and hunters have in common, we would rather die saving people even if it means dying an horrible death than dying in our sleep or something like that…’’ it was a bit sad but really I made them who they were and Ellen would never change that for the world. She was okay with it now, she had learn to deal with this. Hunters would always be hunters and would always react as such. It was in their blood and there was nothing no one could ever do to change it. She was okay with this, she had learned to be okay with this. Well at least somewhat okay with this. She clearly was not okay with it when it incuded Jo. She had never been okay with Jo being a hunter but she had no choice but to learn to deal with it. ‘’and I am the same way Satsu, there is not much I wouldn’t do for the people I care about…’’
‘’Well I would sure love to meet this Buffy.’’ Ellen said. if Buffy was the head slayer Ellen was pretty sure it meant that she had a lot of contact, maybe she had someone that was like Bobby, someone they could all go to when they had question, the one that knew everything. She felt her heart sinking thinking of Bobby. It was someone she really needed to find. She knew that he would be there to help her, she just needed to find him soon and she knew that things would be easier once that happen. The older woman felt her eyes light up when Satsu mentioned that perhaps, Buffy knew a few hunters. ‘’well I really do need to meet this Buffy of yours…’’
‘’if Angels are really here.’’ Ellen started. ‘’it really can’t be good. Nothing ever good comes from having angels close by.” Ellen said. she could remember with far too much ease the last time it had happen. She had died. Now perhaps it would only be one angel and it was something she could deal with. She would be okay with just one angel. If it was only Castiel they could easy deal with this. But other angels now this could not be good.

--------------------------------“Yeah it is nice, I agree with you.” Ellen was right it was nice to have someone to talk to that understood, it seemed like recently she really didn’t have anyone that she could talk to. Not that she couldn’t talk to Buffy about stuff, but sometimes she didn’t always want to bring things to a busy Slayer. Not to mention it hadn’t been that easy to talk to her seeing with how she feels about her, it really does make it hard to talk to someone that you care about so much. She only wished that she felt the same way for, her but that will never happen seeing that she don’t even like girls. Satsu will just have to come to deal with the fact that her and Buffy will never be.
“I think dying in my sleep would be a pretty bad and sad way to go, but I guess anyway you die is pretty sad . So yeah the best way really you can go out is doing what you are good at, saving ones you love.“ She told her. “I can see me going out that way.” Yeah that’s how it was they did die if it meant saving the one they loved, she knew a Slayer that had done that very thing. Buffy had given her life to save her sister Dawn, it was one of the bravest things a Slayer could ever do for someone. If Satsu ever had to die or go out that’s that is the way that she would want to, giving her life to someone she loved or cared about. To her it would be the best way that you could die with meaning.
She seemed excited at the idea of meeting Buffy, she had hopes that maybe she would know a few hunters. Then maybe she could get in contact with people she use to know. “I think Buffy would like to meet you as well. Like I said she knows a lot of people all ready in this town, So I’m sure she will have a way to get you in contact with someone.” Said the Slayer.
By the way she was talking it seemed that maybe she may know a few Angels all ready, it must mean they really were here on earth. “Why is that not good if they are here?” She asked. “I mean they are Angels, aren’t they suppose to be helping us?” She always though that Angels were suppose to be all high and mighty, warriors of god. So why would they be so bad?

Ellen had been feeling rather lonely ever since she had found her way here. Had she found her way home first it might have been different but that would be assuming that home was still there and that the people she knew would also be there and for some reason, she doubted it was going to happen this way. Most of the time, things didn’t happen the way you wanted them to. And she had learn to live with these things and simply shrug them off because really what was she to do? Throw a fit? No she was a Harvelle after all.
She had always wanted to set a good example for her daughter and she hoped that she had managed to do just that. Both Harvelle women lived in what was mostly a men’s world. There was not a lot of female hunters. Ellen had wanted to make sure that her daughter knew that you could be strong but you didn’t have to lose your humanity for it either. Ellen would forever be the mama bear. Always caring for others. The Winchester brothers were not her sons but she had always treated them as if they were. Well there had been the moment where she had not wanted them around but she hoped that this was all water under the bridge now. That they could move on for the things she had said, and thought. “it’s a bit sad wanting to die like this but at the same time I’m guessing that it makes it who were are. I mean we clearly wouldn’t be as strong if we were not that way.”
“Got any idea of the hunters she knows like names or something?” Ellen asked looking at the young girl. “Does the name Winchester rings any bells to you?” She asked quietly. Most people who knew hunters had to know of the Winchesters, it was like where ever those boys went they left a mark. Something that had always worried Ellen. She knew it was only a matter of time before something bad happen to them and maybe this time they would not be as lucky as the time before when it would come to being saved.
“Usually Angels do not walk the earth for simply the fun of it.” Ellen explained. “the last time they were around it was because they wanted to start the apocalypse.” She could remember this far too easily. “I really doubt that they are here for a social visit…” she whispered. “you might want to look into this…I mean I could be wrong but at the same time I would not take the chance with this…”

-------------------------------- She was right about that all the way, they wouldn't be as strong as they were if they didn't thing and feel that way. There believes that had and they way they wanted to go out fighting is what made them who they were, its what defined them and keeps them going. "No you are right about that, we wouldn't be strong and have the back bone that we do if we didn't feel that way. I agree with you all the way." She told her. She loved the way that Ellen thinks, it one of the things that makes her the great person that she is. In away she was the mom she wished that she always could have had, but she would settle now for friends. Satsu knew that they would be friends for a long time coming.
She really wanted to know what hunters that Buffy knew, she could tell that she really wanted to find someone that she knew. Satsu felt for the woman that just wanted to find family and people she was close to. She sat there thinking if any names rang any bells, if she remembered anything that Buffy. Buffy knew so many and told Satsu so much to the point it was hard to recall it all. "I'm trying to think if she said any names at all" She told her. But then Ellen reminded her of a name, Westchester which did for some reason ring a little bell in her head. "You know I'm not for sure but I think that she does that name sound really familiar, I think that you do need to talk with Buffy she may be able to help you find them." She told her.
She then wondered if it wasn't a good think if Angels were around then, Satsu knew that meant they needed to be careful. They had enough going on as is to the point they didn't need Angels around messing things up as well. "Well then I guess that we really need to watch are backs then, last thing we need is Angels making hell for us. I get enough of that as is from vampire." Said the Slayer. She was going to look into this for sure and make sure they watch there backs on these Angels. "Well thanks for the info." She told her.
"So were do you go from here after we leave then?" She asked wondering what Ellen plans on doing first being back on earth.

It was strange knowing she had died for the greater good and being back. Because she knew that chances were she was again going to die for the greater good. She knew she was back for this. She knew her ending would be the same. And she was actually okay with it even if it meant that she was to die again. It was what she wanted. Well she knew she was going to die, so might as well go out again saving the world. ‘’yeah it makes us strong I guess. I mean most people are afraid to die and we are not, I guess that makes it easier for us to do our job.’’ She added. When you were afraid to die it made everything that much harder for you. When it was not a fear of yours you dealt with it.
If Ellen was to find out about Satsu and her faily she would most ikely want to become a mother figure to her. even before she was a hunter and after she was a hunter she was a mother. It was the one thing that would never change about her. Even if she ever wanted to she would never stop having this side of her. It was who she was completely. Ellen nodded. The name Winchester could sound familiar for many reasons to the slayer but she wanted to believe that it could be because she had really heard it because of the brothers before, that she was going to be able to get in touch with them and from there she would finally be able to start to figure out her next steps. Right now she felt like she was stuck and there was nothing she could do to feel better. ‘’Thank you Satus I really appreciate it…’’ she said softly.
Ellen nodded. ‘’yea not all Angels are bad really but if there are a lot of them around I really doubt it can be good.’’ She said with a shrug. ‘’we just need to watch out backs in case something does go wrong…’’ she added softly. ‘’No problem. Glad to be of help.’’ Ellen added before smiling softly. ‘’I go back to my motel room. And I think it’s about time for me to end back and try to get some sleep. ‘’I haven’t been sleeping well lately, so I could use some right now…it was nice meeting you and I`m pretty sure that we are going to cross paths again.’’
