----------------------- ----------------------- Robert pushed the door stepped into the supernatural store, Pathways. He mightn’t be a warlock he was just here to have a looked around at the books, he did have his own collection though, he had to leave the bulk of his collection back at his salvage yard, since the decision to move to Richmond. Although Robert was wondering if this was a real magick shop, it seemed as if more and more magick stores were opening up these days, stores that were nothing more than tourist traps, it was only a slight worry because Richmond because of all the disappearances wasn’t a town big on tourist. Robert still had hope for the store, Pathways better not disappoint because it would be the only way for him to get new books, if Richmond was anything to go by he and Dean and Sam had some work to do.
Inside the store it was quite with only a few other people inside with him, “Welcome to pathways for all your magical needs; how may I be of assistance.” A store clerk said as she walked up to him. “Do you have any books; for light reading of course.” Robert answered with a chuckle. “Why of course if you would just follow me I would be more than happy to show you to them.” The girl said as she led the older man swiftly to a large section of books.
Before letting the store clerk speak, Robert stepped ahead as he began going through the books, and seeing that he no longer needed help she left going back behind her counter. He only had to look for a few moments to realize that this store was the real deal; Robert didn’t know what he would do if he saw another phony magick store—probably throw an old man fit.

Not knowing was the worst, why was she back? She kept asking herself the same questions over and over again and today Dean had told her that Jo was back. And now to add to the information she was looking for she needed to find her daughter. Ellen could not wait any longer and she decided that it was about time she did something about this. Of course where to start was the question. Dean had mentioned he needed to see her to believe it and she could not blame him, she was also expecting the works from both brothers to make sure she was really her. She was expecting all of this and was okay with it. Until then, she could not simply hunt and wait for whatever it was that had decided to bring her back to do so. Instead she decided to take the matter into her
Of course the first person she would have gone to was Bobby but she had no idea where to find him. He would be the one who could have been able to help her. With the amount of books, the old man had, it would have been her first spot. Instead she had set in the gloomy hotel room she was currently calling home and had looked through the phone book, hoping to find a place where she could find some of the books that could help her. She didn’t think she could catch some luck considering this town was small but soon her finger moved over a name. “pathway” she wrote the address down and walked out.
The distance was not too long and she soon found herself in front of the store. She walked in and the familiar noise of the bell got the clerk’s attention her head lift up but before she could say something Ellen spoke first. “I’m just looking.” It was not like she could tell her she was looking for books because she was dead and now was back. It would sound rather insane. She made her way to the book section and her heart almost stopped. There he was, as if it had been meant to be. Slowly she walked over to him as if she was afraid she was dreaming and this would end far too soon. “Bobby…” was all she managed to say. Finally she could see someone she had known, a familiar face. For a moment it made everything better. Made her feel almost as if she was back at home. Tag:: Bobby Note:: <3

----------------------- ----------------------- He walked from row to the next looking at the different books, quickly realizing that there wasn’t anything touristy about Pathways. The library the store had was extensive, and at a quick glance looked to be the sort of books that he needed, one of the books that he grabbed was the bible; while another he took from the shelf was a about demon languages. He wanted to get a few more books to add to his collection, ideally Robert was looking for a book that could aid them in defeating Crowley, and also a book on Angels never hurt. Although at the moment, and only having just arrived in Richmond Robert couldn’t afford to be that picky with the first lot of books, so he ended up grabbing an incarnation’s book; and a book on ghosts and possessions.
Robert then decided to search the racks for any items that could be of use to him or the brothers. Chances were Pathways had something that they would be able to use against Crowley, and at the moment they all were pretty useless against the king of hell; now that neither Ellen nor Jo were with them. No sooner had Robert thought that, then had his eyes grew wider at the site of her, as if she was really standing right there in front of him, like he could reach out and touch her, and he was utterly powerless to move like feet in sinking sand. By all appearances Ellen Harvelle was standing right there, right in front of his eyes which was insane, Dean and Sam had told Bobby how Ellen and Jo had died—it wasn’t possible; just some trick of the mind because he had just been thinking of her, Robert refused to allow whatever this being was take overpower his senses, it was probably some demon; perhaps a shapeshifter.
The creature who was Ellen but couldn’t possibly be began walking closer, calling his name which and Robert would never admit this out loud, being the proud man that he was. But this frightened him, that whatever this was knew his very name, he would have expected it to know Dean or Sam’s name, because they were Winchesters and something as powerful as this creature ought to have known John, nearly everything has heard of the father. “Stay back, no matter the meat you wear; you can't be her.” He said firmly and without hesitation; though quite enough so the store clerk couldn’t hear, Robert was convinced that this couldn’t be Ellen, there was no way—could there? All the while cursing himself for no carrying some holy water.

Ellen had never though she would see Bobby again. She was not even sure when she would see the boys either. of course after she had proven to them she was really her things could easily be different but until then, she was on her own and she had to admit that it was hard. But now there he was. Bobby had always been a good friends of her. He was grumpy and drank too much but she had always liked him. In another life perhaps things would have been different. But the life of a hunter made most people bitter and with everything that Bobby had went through it was only normal that he had turned out the way he had and all things considered he had not turned out so bad. Things could have easily been far worst.
Her main reason for being here was suddenly lost on her. Of course he knew about her death but he had yet to be told about her resurrection. Why hadn’t she seen this coming. Why was she so surprise about the sudden turn of events. She should not have been expecting him to welcome her back with open arms because he could not know it was really her. Even after all the years dealing with the supernatural and knowing that sometimes things did happen that you could not understand you could never be sure what really was out there. Had she known that Bobby would have find himself so close to her she would have come better prepared. She would have brought salt and holy water or anything that could prove she was not a demon. She knew her words were not going to be enough to get him to believe her. But right now her words were really all she had.
Ellen stopped walking. The worst she could do was to not do as he asked. She needed to get him to believe her. “I know you can’t believe me bobby, I know that it seems impossible. I don’t even understand it myself but it really is me…” she whispered. She didn’t want to draw more attention to themselves. “I don’t know how I’m back. I have no idea who brought me back…” this was quite literally killing her. Finally seeing someone she knew, someone who could help her and yet have no way to get them to believe it was really her. “listen Bobby there is no way for me to prove to you who I am here but you have to at least give me a chance to prove to you who I am.” It was all she could ask of him, the only thing that would actually work.

----------------------- ----------------------- Finding out that both Ellen and Joanna had died had been rough; he and the two brothers had been stuck in a rut for sometime; after their passing. Robert had known Ellen for a while, he may have known her even longer then he had known John; he liked Ellen more anyway, and Joanna he knew from when she was a little girl, just like the boys and when he found out that they had died it was like he was losing family. He, Ellen, Joanna and the boys were all family because none of them may be blood related; family went deeper—much deeper he had once told Dean that, and when they had died he had thrown himself into his drinking, more so then usual. Rufus was there to help him through, just as Dean and Sam were though it had taken them sometime to come to terms with their deaths.
But there she was, Ellen was right there and if he took a few steps toward her; he was sure that he would be able to feel flesh, whether it would be warm or cold flesh was another question. She stood there all the while Robert thought that, she looked completely alive like some how she and Joanna had escaped, and of course he knew this was insane, especially not after what the brothers had told him about that day. Robert knew that this couldn’t possibly be Ellen, a close friend who was seemingly by all appearances looking straight back at him, not with anything that he knew about or that he has read, did this situation make him believe this was possible; still there she was.
The Ellen who was standing facing him; and he stood facing her began to speak, she certainly did sound convincing. But with all of this he couldn’t bring himself to believe, at least not until he spoke up; so Robert decided a little test—Ellen was much like himself and they generally thought the same, at least when it came to the bad ideas the brothers had. “If you really back; and you’re not some black eyed bitch, what would I do to the boys for keeping something this big from me?” It was common knowledge that Robert would slap both brothers, upside the head for keeping anything from him; and Ellen was similar, at least when it came to her daughter, they both had the same idea about keeping secrets.

Hunters learned fast about the loss of the people they cared about and how it could affect them. But unlike most people they moved on somewhat faster, or maybe it was just that they started to deal with it fast. When her husband had died, Ellen had put on a brave face and had done everything she could to face the world and learn to deal with everything. She had to be strong for her daughter. And it was then that Ellen had really learn to deal with death, she had lost her fair share of people. Some of natural causes some of not to natural causes. But running a bar where most hunters would stop would make one deal with that. After losing William, she had broken down but never had let anyone show it, they simply could not see the weakness in her. She could not let them, she needed for them to believe she was just as strong as she had been before.
And after that she had learned to move on from death. The death of john had been hard but she had dealt with it, it was the day where she knew her daughter was going to die that she had felt herself breaking inside. There was nothing she could do to change it. She had tried her best to protect her daughter and had been unable to do so. She had chosen to die with her daughter. It had been the right thing to do and Ellen had never regretted it. They had managed to make it to heaven and Ellen had believed that finally it was their time. Of course their lives were never simple and now she needed to prove that she was really herself. it was hard and confusing and she wanted nothing more than to beg Bobby to believe her. But she knew that it was not what it was going to take.
“Robert don’t call me a bitch.” Ellen started. “you would call them a bunch of idjits, slap them across the head and tell them off.” She started. “the same way I would do.” Ellen loved those boys and she had been rather mad at them when they had simply stopped calling and of course when she had managed to see them again she simply had to slap Dean. “But you know as well as I do that these boys are not doing this to hurt you. More than anything they are trying to protect you. You know how they get?” Ellen took one slow step forward. “Listen Robert I’m just as confused as you are about the whole thing, I don’t have the slightest clue how I got back here but I am and you have to help me…” Tag:: Bobby Note:: <3

----------------------- ----------------------- Robert took another step back, however it was not because he had been afraid like before, it was the realisation that some demon wasn’t wearing her. Ellen at times could be just as frightening as one of them, maybe even scarier, Robert knew he had gotten to know this side of the woman, as had John in a big way, When it came to mother Harvelle there was no tip toeing around, or lying because she saw through everything. Perhaps this was why the two of them got along so well, they both were very similar as hunters, and their family even with who they have lost, his wife—Karen and her husband Bill, then there was Joanna who was like a daughter to him, and finally his boys; and he was sure she thought them as her boys too.
“Sorry.” Robert mumbled his gruff apology, quietly though Ellen and most people who knew him could quite easily hear. “I guess that settles that.” Robert said beginning to warm to the idea that who stood in front of him was Ellen, and not some soulless being, satisfied with her answer. Robert knew that without the proper tests, there really wasn’t anyway how he could be sure this was really her, he knew well that some—most demons could be devious and convincing if they so wanted, but for the time being and how much he longed to see the Harvelle’s, Robert was comfortable seeing where things went.
This could just be wishful thinking, Robert knew that he was being an old fool; not unlike him usually to trust someone blindly. It had just been so long since he had seen Ellen, he just didn’t care, and it turned out that some demon was inside her, he would deal with those consequences then, he owed them too much for anything much less be it Ellen, or her daughter Joanna. “So, what now?” he asked who he would believe was Ellen for the time being, having no clue where they should start.

Ellen didn’t want to see him walking away from her. she wanted to try and make this work but apparently this was not something he was ready for. Or maybe it was because he didn’t believe her. she felt like she could go literally insane if he didn’t believe her. someone needed to give her a chance to prove herself and from there she could prove that she was really back and then they could try and figure out why she was back and who had brought her back. If it was because someone somewhere needed herself, of course she would help, it was simply the way she was. But first thing first, she needed to figure out the whole meaning behind this and she could not do it on her own. Someone needed to help her figure it out. And if there was someone who could be able to do just that it was Bobby. He had enough knowledge and books for her to actually be able to find something.
The older woman could not help but feel like she was holding her breath as she waited for him to say something. Anything would be better than the silence she was currently dealing with. Finally he spoke and Ellen gave him a half smile. ‘’don`t be sorry Bobby, I would have been rather disappointed in you if you had believed me first hand and of course quite surprise so no need for an apology.’’ She explained to him before shrugging. Really she didn’t mind he had not believed her, the important part was that now he did believe her. or at least he somewhat believed her, she knew that it was not like they were going to be able to go hand in hand for the moment but hopefully soon enough she could fully prove that she was the real Ellen.
‘’well now we go somewhere quiet and we can do the usual prove me you are human test, I`m guessing you have holy water, salt and a sliver knife back at your place? Or we can go to the cheap ass motel I`m renting.’’ She proposed to him. ‘’we do these tests and finally we can talk about what happen to me Robert. I need to figure out why I`m here, who brought me back and all those pretty little things and you can fill me in about all the things that I have missed while I was well dead.’’ She told him. ‘’did you need anything from here or are we all set and ready to go?’’ really all she wanted was to leave this place now but she didn’t want to push him too much. She was afraid he might freak out if she started to push him.

----------------------- ----------------------- He still couldn’t be sure that Ellen was standing in front of him, but now Robert was certain; when Ellen had said how disappointed she would have been, if he had believed her at first glance. There was still potential for a demon to be within her, but as the conversation progressed on, the chances of that were looking slimmer, “Do the boy’s know your back?” Besides Ash, Dean and Sam were the two who he was certain Ellen would go to, and if she had really come back then the brothers would have known about Ellen before him; only just arriving in Richmond. Robert had cut his question short however, he had meant to ask about Joanna to—Dean and said to him that she was back; and he wondered if Ellen knew, “Have, you seen Jo?”
“Of course, and let’s go to my cabin. It’ll be quieter as only few people know about it.” Robert said hiding a cringe about going to the cheap motel; he’s done that too many times before; and even not too long ago with Rufus. Now he was a old man, he wasn’t like Dean and Sam and the other younger hunters, he needed his own space and on the plus side, practically nobody knew where his cabin was, so Robert didn’t have to put up with neighbours. “I don’t know what I would know, but you know me. I’m the Dean and Sam’s personal researcher.” Robert said, telling Ellen that he mightn’t have much to go on as to why she was back, while also being sarcastic because of how many times Dean and Sam had asked for help.
“Just let me pay for these books, and we’ll head to the cabin. You know my old pickup; I can meet you there if you want?” Robert asked her, before making his way toward the counter, where the store clerk stood. “How may I help you sir?” “Just these two books,” he said getting his wallet and digging for a few dollar bills, before noticing the holy water on the counter; “better make it three things.” Robert told the store clerk, adding one holy water bottle to the list, “that comes to thirty-forty-five; hope you enjoyed your visit to pathways?”

“I tried and reached out to them but well clearly they didn’t really believe me not that I can blame them. I mean they were there when it all went down, they didn’t see it happen really but they were close enough to know there was no way I would have made it out of there alive. So of course they are septic…” she explained to him. She understood where they were coming from and clearly she was not annoyed with them. Had she not meet Bobby today, she would have tried to reach out to them again but now that Bobby was around it made things a lot easier for her. She could eventually prove to him that she really was who she said she was and from there they could get a move on. “Wait is Jo around?” Ellen felt like her heart was about to stop. Her daughter, her daughter was still here and this was killing her. couldn’t her daughter had been left out of this.
Ellen nodded. She would much rather go to his cabin than go back right away to her motel room. She had not really made up her mind as to where she was going to stay now but at the same time she knew that she could not stay in the motel room forever. She was not like the Winchesters, she needed a place to plant her feet. But at the moment it was no use to find a place for that since she had yet to figure out where she was supposed to be. Of course now with the news that Jo was back, it made her want to stick around, at least until she found her daughter. She needed to know why both of them were back, she needed to see Jo more than anything right now. Ellen had a small smile. ‘’I figured that if someone could help me find out why I`m here it’s you.’’ She to him.
‘’yeah I remember that truck kind of surprise it’s still up and running.’’ Ellen told him with a smile before walking out of the shop. It didn’t take her long before finding the truck. She ran her fingers over the smooth metal. All the little things made her feel like she was back at home. It was only little things because she knew her home had been burned to the ground so long ago. It was all she could hold on to right now. She turned around and waited for Bobby to come join her.

----------------------- ----------------------- Robert was definitely thrilled that he had been reunited with Ellen, since the past few years he and the boys had to come to terms with her passing. A part of him still wasn’t able to believe that he had just only a few moments ago, been talking to her; he didn’t want to for the fear of having Ellen taken away from them just as quickly, and while they all shared a special bond; which made all of them an extended family. Robert had always thought that he could relate more to Ellen, not because he was only a few years older, they both treated Dean and Sam as their own children, and he loved Joanna as if she was his own too. Also they both have lost somebody who had been close, her husband Bill who had been a good friend to Robert, and his wife Karen.
Once the store clerk put the three items into bag, Robert made his way to the door, stopping in front before pulling it open. He could see her through the clean glass, only a few feet away standing beside the parked truck. This was like something out from a dream, god knows that Robert has dreamed of this occasion more then he would have liked to admit, not just him because he was also certain, that Dean and Sam have also dreamed of the Harvelle’s return. Taking a sniff of his tee-shirt, Robert knew that he should have worn something a little bit more cleaner today, he would have to make sure he changed once they got back to his cabin, Robert hoped Ellen didn’t notice in the mean time, slipping the holy water into his back pocket for easier excess; Robert stepped outside and walked over to his truck.
“It shouldn’t take too long, the cabin is well hidden. I think only Dean and Sam know about it so far.” Robert said after unlocking the truck for Ellen. Pushing his keys into the ignition, before suddenly remembering what he had forgotten to do—not forgotten for seating on that small bottle had been uncomfortable; he had just been a little too trusting seeing Ellen again, Robert unscrewed the lid and splashed her with the water inside.

Every hunter had lost most of the people close to them. It was part of the life they were living now, part of the choices they had made so to speak. When you became a hunter or involved with one, you knew there was no way this was going to end well. A hunter’s lifespam was of course shorter than most people. Ellen had learn this when she had fell for William, he had always been honest with her, told her what their reality was. He had given her a chance to back out of it if so she wished but she was in love with him. She still was in love with him. And she had agreed to this even if she knew that she would have ended up losing him at some point. And even if she had known it was coming she had never really been ready for it. How could one be ready to lose the one person they truly loved?
But she had meet people along the way, people who understood her, people who were pretty much dealing with the same thing that she was and it was good to have them around. It reminded her she was not alone. Bobby was one who she knew could always understand her. He had lost his wife in a terrible way. Such was the life of a hunter. But they knew what it was like to lose the person you loved the most and have to keep your head high and move on. Because there never was any time to grief. You simply had to keep going otherwise it was then you ended up losing her mind. Thankfully Ellen had Jo and she knew she needed to keep strong for her daughter’s sake. In a way, it had been the reason why she had managed to keep going for so long. She had had to be strong for her daughter.
“sounds good. And I would never expect you to have a cabin that someone could easily fi.” She started but soon she felt the water on her face. She close her eyes for a moment. “let me guess holy water?” she asked him. “got a rag or something?” she said as she opened her eyes again and started to look around for something to dry her face with. “if you don’t mind I would rather cut my arm with a silver blade once we are at the cabin…” she smiled.
