--------------------------------------------------Xander wasn't sure what he would tell Buffy and Willow, he knew that he shouldn't keep secrets but he couldn't help it. Well, he could help it but he had to figure out what the feeling was before he ran off telling the whole world, it was just hard for him and besides the friend group always kept secrets from each other, it was just how it was. He was thinking about telling Faith his feelings but he wasn't sure if he was ready for that yet, and even if he told her he was pretty sure that he would get rejected. She'd probably make some excuse about being good friends and all that so there was no way he was telling her how he was feeling for the girl and what he was thinking about.
Xander wanted Faith to open to him but for her to do that they really had to talk about things and obviously that wasn't going to happen unless it did tonight. He wasn't sure what exactly the two would talk about but he had a thought. Xander felt like honesty was the best policy but was it too early to tell her? No, not at all and he had to man up and tell her but not right now, he would do it by the end of the night because he knew it was one of those type of things where it was now or never. He just had to find the time well he did have the time but he had to actually blurt it out which would be hard to do but he just had to rip that band-aid off and he'd be good or maybe he wouldn't be good because this could end really badly for him...well life was about taking risks.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah," he said with a little sigh. He wished that she would have talked to him because then Xander could have at least felt like she cared for him that night. "That Faith was different but I still cared for that Faith as I care for you," he told the slayer honestly. "You talk a lot more now and you see we're having a conversation," he said with a smile. "Don't worry about it! If anything I'm glad I lose it to you...well I mean y'know I got the experience and all from a beautiful girl," he said a little shyly. The next thing Faith said kind of surprised him. She just basically shrugged him which actually kind of hurt Xander...he looked away not sure what to think of this, so he knew, she didn't like him that way.
"Thanks Faith, I'm just not sure if I'm that lucky," he said embarrassingly. Sure, he was a decent looking guy but he wasn't a model or anything, he wasn't an Angel, Spike, Riley, Dean, and so on, he was just Xander. He wished that he could be like those guys but never in a billions years would he be them. "Faith, it isn't a disaster at all you...just need to find the right guy and then it won't be one," he told the girl. "He's out there, you'll just have to let him in," he told the woman. So, now Faith was flirting again, maybe that was all it was? Flirting, nothing more for the girl? "Y-yeah, that'd be nice and I don't wanna be hurt," he meant physically and feelings wise but she didn't have to know about the feeling wise. "I promise no tripping," he said with a chuckle. "I really do want to...warm up to you but it's probably not a good idea," he told her although he regretted his words. Maybe he should just kiss her.

Faith had never been good with feelings whether it was her own or other people’s and while she could see that something was up with Xander she was unsure on how to approach him about it. Asking it simply would be the way most people would do it but she was not sure if she was actually ready to hear what he had to say. It was not that she didn’t care about him or that she was heartless it was just that she didn’t know how to deal with emotional discussion. She could talk about the apocalypse like it was no big deal but brought in some feelings and it made her feel like she was about to throw up. even right now the small conversation they were having was almost too much for her to deal with. And had it been before she would have just try to get him to leave, fight vampires who had decided to leave apparently or simply bring him home with her for a night between the sheets.
But whiles she hated feelings and stuff, she was actually enjoying this conversation which was strange. It made her uncomfortable but the more they talk the more comfortable she was starting to feel. There was something about him. It was not that she was in love with him and yet there was something that was drawing her in, something she didn’t know how to explain. Like if perhaps she was going to open up to someone it would be Xander. She knew that chances were Buffy would be the better place to understand her fellow slayer but she didn’t feel like Buffy was the right person, not that the blonde one didn’t care but Xander, Faith knew that he cared for her through and through. Even if she had been rather horrible to him, he was still around.
“yeah and it is a conversation I am enjoying…” she admitted, hating herself for admitting something like that so quickly. But she felt like her walls were cracking down, they were still there of course but there was some holes here and there and it was like Xander was finding all of them. She hated using that kind of analogy, it made her feel like Buffy but at the same time it really was what was going on in her mind right here. it was the easiest way to explain it. “I don’t get why you people still cared about me back then” they should have turned their backs on her the same way she had done to them. And yet they had stayed. To her it didn’t make sense but she did appreciate it. Faith noticed a sudden change in Xander and looked at him, “everything okay?”
“Xander this is not about luck. I mean it might not be easy to get there but you will find someone and you will make her one of the happiest girl in the world.” She told him being honest. “so maybe finding the right girl has a lot to do with luck but it is not just luck trust me.” Faith shook her head. “yeah I guess it really is not a good idea…” she was a flirt but she also needed to get some things straight here. “Listen Xander I know you don’t want to be hurt and maybe it would be smarter if you stayed away from me. I mean there is nothing I can do for you that would be good…I’m trouble you know that…it might be better for you to just, stay away from me.” It was not often that Faith decided to have a heart to heart but this was important, this was something she needed to do.

--------------------------------------------------It was actually really easy to talk to Faith, okay the girl was definitely a stubborn one but that's what Xander liked about her, she was just so complex. There was more to the girl than the eye led on, you just had to get to know her. Xander had gotten to know her over the years and she was one of the most remarkable women that he had met. She was beautiful, smart, strong, irritating, stubborn yet she was still amazing and was wrapped into one stunning girl. Xander knew that liking this girl was going to get him into trouble but he didn't care, he knew she was worth it for some reason.
Xander was trying to get to know Faith on a deeper level and he knew he could get through to her somehow, he just wished that she lived at the house so they could talk a lot more. Maybe he could convince her to move in? Right now Xander's mind was confused and jumbled up, he was being a goof at the moment and he felt like he was back in high school. Faith was the popular girl who was the head cheerleader while Xander was the lowest of the lows, the bottom of the pyramid, he was a loser talking to the most popular girl and may possibly have a chance with her, now that was something. They were in the adult world though and they were both normal people talking but still that was how Xander felt at the moment. He didn't want to feel that way, but he dealt with it.
"I'm really enjoying it too," he said with one of his goofy grins. He was glad he was keeping her entertained, that was what he wanted to do. "Whadya mean?" He said in a little shock. "We cared about because you were our friend, well still are of course, but back then we wanted to help you," he told the girl. "I mean we all go in the deep end, Willow tried ending the world and Buffy tried killing Willow, me, and Dawn," he told her. He wanted her to know that everyone made mistakes and as long as people recognized those mistakes they could get better. No one had to be evil forever. He hoped Faith realized that everyone had flaws on the inside, not just her.
"Yeah, everything's fine was just thinking," he told the woman. He wasn't lying or anything, he really was thinking. "And you'll make a guy happy one day, you just gotta let him in when he appears around that corner,"he told the girl with a smile. He hoped that she would let him in, maybe Xander would be lucky enough for that. Xander was actually pretty glad that Faith agreed it wasn't a good idea, he was a bit surprised. Xander wasn't sure if it was going to be okay to do this, but he did it, he grabbed the girl's hands and she could push him away or throw him whatever she did he was staying. "Faith, I'm not going anywhere, it's probably obvious to you and the whole world that I like you," he said with a gulp. "You see, I can't stay away from you I mean your Faith Lehane the one and only," he was ripping off the slayer generation thing but it didn't matter, he was trying to be a little funny. "You're stubborn, not trouble at all and if you are trouble then I'm trouble too after all, do you see the amount of comic books I have?" He told the girl with a grin.

Faith liked that not a lot of people knew who she really was. Part of it was because she liked to be mostly a mystery to the people around her but the other part was that she liked it because it meant people were not going to get close to her. That was the scariest thing to her. Having people getting close to her. But at the same time she had started to crave it and that was also freaking her out. Faith had half a mind to simply skip town. This would resolve all trouble or something like that. Well not really it would be like putting a bad aid of a cut off arm but it would give her some peace of mind even if it was only for a moment. Right now she would take that.
But something inside of her was forcing her to stick around. To say put and see what she could get, what she could turn out to be. She had promised she would stop running from herself. and that also included feelings and the people that cared about her and that she cared about. Her eyes looked into Xander and in a way, even though they did not really know each other all that way, she felt like those eyes were home. Oh great now she was turning into a freaking girly girl and that she hated. But it was true in a way, she felt comfortable around Xander, she felt like she could actually trust him, that she could be herself around him, which was kind of hard because she was still trying to figure out who exactly it was that she was.
“I’ve always loved that grin.” Faith laughed as she looked at him her hand reaching over to poke at his cheek. “yeah I guess that when you put it that way, we are all a bunch of insane people who have tried to kill someone at some point…” it was a bit sad really when you thought about it. But yeah at least it meant that they kind of understood each other. “at least I didn’t try to end the world.” She said with a small laugh shaking her head. It was not really funny but sometimes it was better to laugh about these things than to cry because of them.
Faith could not help but raise an eyebrow when she heard him say he was just thinking. She had a feeling that there was something more but she didn’t want to force him into talking if he didn’t want to. She would hate if someone was to do this to her anyway. “yea maybe you are right…or maybe you are just too hopefully.” She told him with a half-smile. But that smile soon froze on her lips as she felt him grab her hand. What the hell? Now it was not that she was mad or anything like that it was just strange to her. The gesture felt far too intimate for her liking. And yet she could not move. She was stuck there as she listen to his words which were only confusing her even more. “wait back that truck up Xander Harris.” She said trying to keep her voice was shaking. Did he really meant what she thought he did mean? “what do you mean you like me?” there were many different type of likes but she was unsure which was Xander was talking about. Or well she knew which one and yet she could not really being herself to believe it.

--------------------------------------------------Xander felt warm when he was around Faith and maybe he was crazy for liking the girl but no one could take her space. She was a one of a kind, stubborn yet when you got past her walls she was truly the most amazing girl he had ever met. He would never tell Buffy or Willow that because they would probably think that he was being weird but it was the truth. He couldn't help but look into her eyes and see something in her, she was a vulnerable girl not ready to open up, and Xander would wait for that day because he wasn't going anywhere, he was patient and he'd get to see the real Faith, he was going to be there for her one hundred percent.
He wanted Faith to see that he wasn't the same immature teenager anymore who was basically horny all the time, (hormonal times in the high school days) he wanted her to see him as someone who grew, someone who was willing to look at all her flaws and appreciate who she was and what she had been through. The girl had been through a lot the past couple years and yes...she did basically strangle him back then but she was in the deep end and he wasn't going to blame her for that. He knew what she was going through, he understood. God, his feelings for had always been there apparently! They must have just been hiding until now...
"Thanks Faith," he said grinning while looking at the ground. He might have blushed a little, he wasn't too sure. He wasn't sure if this girl liked him or was just flirting, she was really confusing and he wanted to ask her but the man was too nervous to ask her about anything that involved his and her feelings. Xander chuckled, "Yeah, that's good I guess we all need to go a little psycho sometimes," he said laughing a little. "I knew Will had power but I didn't know she had that much," he said remembering the time she had actually hurt him with her magic but he still told her he loved her. He loved saying that he saved the world by using his words and he saved Willow as well which was the most important thing.
"I'm always hopeful," he said with a smile. He couldn't hate how he felt for the girl, it was a feeling and he wasn't going to ignore it. Xander wasn't sure if he should let go of her hand her not, it didn't seem like she was liking it too much...yet he was stuck in that moment of looking in her eyes and he wanted to be more for her, could he? "I me-well...I like you like you," he said as if he was in the 5th grade again asking a girl out. "I have for a really long time Faith...I'm sorry if this is awkward for you, let's just ignore it," he said letting go of her hand and scratched the back of his neck not sure what exactly he should do. The two could just pretend this whole rambling never happened. He didn't even know where his courage came from, it just did and he wanted to be able to have the courage because he knew he needed it if he wanted to be with her.

Faith wanted to finally be able to really open up with someone. It didn’t have to be this way, but even when she opened up a little bit it scared her, she did not like to feel vulnerable and yet Xander was making her feel this way and yet she could not push herself away from him. Maybe it would be safe to open up around him. She would not lose her edge if it was only with one person right? it could be their little secret. At least for the moment, eventually she would most likely feel okay to bring in other people. She didn’t have to go completely soft, but maybe she didn’t have to be the strong one all the time. Sometimes letting the walls down would be good to her, the pressure she would feel might go away.
It was funny to think how far they all gone. Xander was not the teenager she had took the virginity from. He had grew up into a wonderful man. Faith was not the psycho killer she had once been. She could not hold on to the past anymore. She needed to get go and finally move forward. And while she had no idea what she really felt for Xander she knew that something was there. There was something about him. Something that was calmed her down. Maybe it was the goofy grin that was more often on his lips. Or maybe it was the fact that she could see he cared so much about her.
Faith herself was unsure if she liked him or if she was just flirting with him for the sake of it so really it was only normal that he was lost in this whole situation. “yeah the is a little psycho in all of us. I guess the fact that I already let mine out perhaps means that we won’t have to deal with that crazy Faith again.” She told him with a laugh. Not that it was really funny. She did need to keep that Faith under the radar, keep her buried deep inside of her. “yeah Willow is quite the powerful witch.” She had heard of Willow going to the dark side and by dark we meant even darker than what Faith had been. And yet today she still was the sweet innocent Willow, at least as far as Faith was concern she still look like the sweet innocent Willow that she had known before.
Faith did not know what to say, or even think for that matter and yet when he let go of her hand, she knew this was not what she wanted, she didn’t want him away from her. Did she like him? Yeah she did. She as not sure how much she liked him but she knew there was something about him. And when he told her to forget it, she simply could not. It was not going to work. Faith could not simply forget it. For a moment she could not move, could not do anything. But soon she reached over to gra his hand and pulled him up to her. Faith had never been one of many words so the first thing she did and the only thing she did was to press her lips to his. ----------------

--------------------------------------------------The way Xander felt about Faith...it was hard to explain. Maybe he was messed up for liking a girl who used to be a killer and now was his friend and friends with everybody else. Who knew, maybe Xander was friend zoned which would be pretty bad and he wouldn't like that one bit but it could be better than being played with just like he was played by her before. For some reason Xander felt like taking that risk, he felt as if this time was different, the two could finally have a conversation that just involved life, he was able to get close to her or at least as close as can be since she had her walls up. He wanted to break those walls so badly, in time he would hopefully.
It was great knowing that the two had grown to be friends and hopefully now they would grow to be a couple. He knew Faith was never into the couple thing and she was just more about the sex bu he refused to believe that was all Faith wanted, she wanted to feel safe and protected. Xander wasn't thinking about physically because hell the girl could protect herself and a bunch of people from whatever bu what needed protection was her heart and Xander was going to make sure it was protected no matter what, he would never hurt Faith. The only way he would hurt her would be his bad jokes but even those aren't as bad so the brunette girl had nothing to worry about.
Xander chuckled a little as Faith talked about her old self. "That crazy Faith was bad ass, but I like this Faith a lot better," he said with a smile. "Yeah though, everyone goes crazy I mean Buffy did at one point but a demon was involved, long story," he said with a sigh remembering how the trio got a demon to make Buffy hallucinate. "Which means I'm next, better watch out I could turn at any moment," he said playfully. Xander was just human, no powers whatsoever which meant that if he went off the tracks all he could really do was just throw stuff around or yell at people, he was no threat at all so the chances of him going crazy at some point was very slim.
Xander waited for a response from Faith and what surprised him was the kiss, he couldn't help but feel happy in this moment. He didn't know if this meant anything for Faith but it meant a lot to him. He laid his hands on her hips as he kissed her passionately almost lovingly. He then stopped the kiss. "Faith, I don't want only this," he told her as he looked in her eyes as if he was looking at her soul. He placed his hand where her heart was. "I want your heart Faith, know that I''d never hurt it I want to protect it," he told her. Xander was usually full of comedy but when he was serious he really meant what he had to say. "I want all of you," he told her still looking in her eyes.

Getting close to someone was far more scary than taking on any demon, hell she would rather fight Glory by herself instead of having to deal with what could happen if she was to get close to someone like Xander. Xander needed a good woman, someone who would not hurt him and clearly Faith was not that girl. She was far more likely to end up hurting him. Not because she wants to but because it is simply who she is. She was not one for relationship. She was not the datable kind really. She knew she would end up breaking his heart at some point somehow. It was just the way she was. She was not really the good girl you wanted to bring home to your mother. This was simply not who she was.
To say that Faith was pretty much losing her mind right now would be an understatement, she was just about to go literally insane. The more Xander was talking to her the more she was freaking out, because it was forcing her to realised that over the time they had spent as friends, she had started to feel closer to him and what had first started as a friendship was now turning into something more. Stop the life train, I want to get off, was pretty much what she wanted to scream right now. She wanted to push him away, tell him to leave. maybe it would be better to simply break his heart right now so they could just move on from this. Maybe they could just move on from this right now before it was too late.
Faith shook her head. ``you shouldn’t like this Faith better you know…`` Faith started. “she might not be as insane as the other one but really she is not a good girl. Nothing could can come out of this Xander.” She warned him. She knew that she should walk away herself but she was unsure if she was able to do it. She knew that Xander deserved someone who could be good to him, and she knew that he wanted her to believe that she could be that person but they both had to be honest with themselves. She was not that girl. Or at least she didn’t think she was. “don’t worry if you were to turn. I would catch you.” She told him softly. “I would not let you turn bad.” Faith promised him.
Faith had never been a woman of many words, but action now that was something she could do. It was something she actually understood so to speak. And in this situation right now, it was better for her to simply kiss him and it would be what it would be. She felt his hands move over her hips and she moved closer to him but only to have him stop which proved to be quite annoying to her. She watched his hands moved. “oh second base in a cemetery, someone sure is getting naughty.” She laughed before he spoke and became serious again. “Xander do you really understand what you are asking…I mean you know I’m not the good girl next door.” Faith reminded him. ----------------

--------------------------------------------------Xander wasn't sure what he should do, he could ask the girl out but he didn't know if she'd reject him. The man was just nervous around her, she made his brain all mushy. The only girl to do that was Anya but this was different, it was like Faith made Xander even more nervous like he couldn't speak and if he did all that would come out would be gibberish. Maybe that was a good thing? He knew the woman wasn't about relationships and he respected that but he wanted to be with her, he felt a stronger connection with her rather than any other woman he had been with.
The way he wanted to protect her from all the evil was probably stupid considering she could protect herself but he wanted to protect her from the people who would hurt her. He wasn't sure if Faith had ever had a boyfriend, as it seemed as she was flying solo most of the time then again there was that principal she had a thing with. Xander actually wondered what happened to him but he was glad that the fling between the two was over because it meant he could make his move on Faith. He wasn't going to bring him up now because then that would just kill whatever chance he had with Faith tonight.
"But I do," he told her reassuringly. "And I think something good will come out of it," he told her with a smile. He was trying to convince her that they could do it, they could have a good relationship. "All jokes aside and being all serious, I do care about you Faith and I still did when you went into the deep end, I just wish I was the one to save you from it," he told her with a frown. He knew ultimately Angel had saved her which kind of annoyed Xander but he got over it, he just wished that Faith let him be there for her like he was trying to be but instead she tried to choke him. Maybe with time he could have gotten through to her if people let him try, but that was the past anyway. "Thanks Faith, me as bad though? I could be your worst match with all my skills in kung fu," he said jokingly.
Xander chuckled at what Faith said but still, this was a serious moment and when Xander was serious then it had to be important. "That's what I like, you're different," he said with a smile. "Just let me in Faith," he told her hoping she would but he knew how stubborn the girl could be. "Let me be there for you more than a friend," Xander hated being so serious but he had to let it all out now or else he would never say he stuff he was saying later. "Can't you take a chance on a guy like me?" He asked her. He was hoping she'd say yes but he wasn't so sure, he was still afraid of what she could say, she could easily reject him if she wanted to but he felt something for her and he sure wasn't going to be a coward and not tell her how he felt.

Faith wished she could pause this whole thing and get to talk to someone about what was going on so she could figure out what she wanted to do and then come back to the conversation after. Or maybe have a crystal ball and figure out what would happen in the future so she could know what to do about this whole situation but she knew it was not possible. No she had to deal with in the moment stuff and that was pissing her off. She didn’t want to end up being the one to hurt Xander, he did not deserved to be hurt by someone like her. He should know better than to stay around her. But yeah the heart wants what the heart wants even when it does not make any sense at all.
And her heart wanted her to finally let go of all the stress she was dealing with, all the confusion she was feeling. She wanted to finally allow herself to be happy with someone. To finally be herself with someone. She had never really done this before, she had never really dated anyone before. She had had flings and other stuff in that range of things but it had never really been anything that was really serious. She had never let herself get close enough to someone so things could actually get serious. She just felt unable to do such a thing. But there was something about Xander, something about him that told her that perhaps it was actually safe to trust him, to let him in even if it was only slightly.
Everything would have to be baby step for her. She could not just jump into something, she would have to take her time, get use to having someone caring for her in such a way. “yeah but there are more chances that something bad would come out of it.” She told him with a sad smile. “You are a good person Xander, you deserve someone who would take care of you, who would not end up hurting you and I’m unsure if I can be this girl…” she had tried to kill him back when she was bad. “I know you care of me and this is what scares me the most. I know that I could easily hurt you, that I have more chances of breaking your heart than making you feel better and I don’t know what to do about it.” She could not help but laugh at his joke. “yeah I would still be willing to take my chances if it meant that I could protect you.”
Faith could not help but sigh. “it is not that I don’t want to let you in Xander. It’s just that I know that if I try to, you will end up getting hurt.” She had to be honest with him. She doubted that he was going to let go that easily but really she needed to at least try to make him understand what he was really getting into. “I want to take a chance on a guy like you but I also know that the chances that you will get hurt in this are major. Are you really ready to take that risk?” she asked him chewing on her lower lip feeling uneasy. Were these things really always supposed to be this complicated? Shouldn’t they at least sometimes be somewhat easy? ----------------

--------------------------------------------------Xander wasn't the best at love obviously considering all the relationships he had been never ended well. He had cheated on one girl and then the other girl walked out on at their wedding but he felt as if this was different. He knew that if the two were to ever be in a relationship then it would probably be the most complicated relationship but what relationship wasn't? He was hoping that Faith would give him a chance, he deserved that much. If she gave him that chance then he would treat her like she deserved to be treated and he would promise not to her because he really didn't want to. He was probably more likely to get hurt though.
Xander had felt like Faith was the girl for him, he could handle her issues and what she had been hiding inside of her. Xander knew her extremely well but he didn't know much of her past. He wanted to get to know the girl more but on a deeper level. He wasn't usually this serious but tonight was a serious night and he wanted Faith to be his girlfriend. He wondered what she was thinking though, what was going on in that beautiful mind of her's. He probably shouldn't think about it sometime as he knew that she needed some space since he basically poured his heart out to her. He wasn't sure if he should leave and wait for her decision or ask for it now.
"Hey, I suck at taking care of people but together...we could take care of each other," he told the girl with a smile. He was trying to be positive and he had hoped that she would agree but he wasn't so sure. "See, you wanna protect me and I wanna protect you, instant chemistry right there," he said with a chuckle. He acted like he was joking but he really did think that the two could work together to maintain a good relationship, Faith just had to believe that. He knew the girl had never done a relationship so maybe Xander was rushing it by asking her out.
He looked at her a bit sad. He didn't care if he got hurt in the end, what they had was worth the risk. "I'm immune to being hurt c'mon Faith you know me and I know you and when two people know each other...I'm not sure where I'm going with this," he told her honestly trying to make sense of what on earth he was saying. He traced her hand with his hand as they held each other's hands. "You're worth the risk," he told her with a smile. "I mean we don't have to rush into the whole relationship thing we could just go out on a couple of dates, or...just start off small with something else," he told her. "I really want us to work Faith," he was being honest with her and he wanted her to know how exactly he felt. If she wanted to take small steps with him that was fine with him, he would understand.

--------------------------------
Faith had never really been in love so to her, this was something completely new. Now it was not to say that she was madly in love with Xander. She clearly was not there yet, she was not even sure what she really wanted out of him. She knew that she wanted to let him in, to let him really see her but was she ready for this? She was going to have to be. She knew she would never fully be ready anyway. She figured it was one of these things were you simply had to jump in head first and hope for the best. She knew that Xander would not hurt her or at least if he did it would not be something he would mean to. This really was not what she was afraid of.
As he looked at her she wondered for how long he had been keeping this. Was this something he had really thought about or was it a just in the moment thing. The more she looked at him and the more he talked the more she wanted this to work. She wanted to believe that it was possible. She could feel her mind racing as confusion quickly took over her. This was too much for her, she was not use to this. Why couldn’t he simply want to sleep with her. Now this was something she could easily give him, there would be no questions, no feelings. But she knew that this was not what he was looking for and she was starting to doubt that this was what she wanted.
A small chuckled escaped her lips. This was pretty messed up. They were both pretty messed up actually. She knew Xander has his own baggage and yet she had never really took the time to talk to him to know what it was and she actually felt bad for it. They had been friends for so long and yet there was so much she still didn’t know about it. It was not really fair of her. “yeah I guess that two people who are not really good at taking care of others can actually be better together.” Maybe it was what would help give them a chance. “Xander we already have chemistry, you know that, I think we have had chemisty for a while and had I not try to kill you well maybe it would have been different a lot sooner.” She reminded him.
Hell had she let him talk to her a lot could have change during that night. She might have not gone completely insane and try to kill everyone. She should have given him a chance then. Maybe it meant that she should give him a chance now. Maybe now things could work out for them. She was not really ready but she was far more ready than she had been before. Faith thought that she had actually needed to deal with the things she had dealt with before in order to be the woman she was now. She had learned about through her mistake and now she could move on. Xander could help her move on. She wanted him to help her.
“Xander no one is immunte to getting hurt.” She told him as her head reached up to touch the side of his face her other hand still into his enjoying feelings his fingers on her skin. “no one has ever said anything that nice to me…” she whispered as he told her she was worth the risk. She wanted to be that. She wanted to prove him that she could be good to him. She raised an eyebrow at him. “dates?” she thought for a moment. “I don’t even think I have ever been on a proper date before…” she had went out with guys before of course but it had never been about dates. It had been about what should happen after the third date. “I want us to work too…” she had to admit. “but I’m scared Xander.” She told him being far too honest for her liking. "I don't want to hurt you..."

--------------------------------------------------Faith was a mysterious girl and that was another thing Xander liked about her. She didn't have to stand alone in the world though, she had friends and she had him. Xander was going to be there for her no matter what, even if she rejected him he would still be there for her because well he cared for the girl immensely. On the outside Faith was this bad ass girl who seemed to care about nothing but on the inside...she was different, she was vulnerable and sensitive and she did care for people, Xander wanted to see that side he wanted her to let him in. He wondered if she would someday.
Xander didn't even know what he was going to do, he wished that he got the advice of his best friends but he knew that they would have told him that he wouldn't have a chance with her. Xander was taking his chance right now and he was hoping to have a future with Faith. Maybe he was rushing a bit but this wasn't like any other relationships he had been in, he wanted to stick it out with Faith and maybe that was why his relationships never worked because in the back of his mind he wanted one girl and that was her. He could be assuming but it did make sense why he didn't end up marrying Anya, he was afraid of commitment and he cared for another girl that he didn't know he cared for. All this time he cared for Faith, he wished he had known it sooner though, he didn't get why he pushed it to the back of his head.
Two messed up people finding each other, it was actually pretty funny to think about. They both had flaws and it was okay to have flaws, no one was perfect. "Right amungo!" He said with enthusiasm. Faith was right two people who were bad at taking care of others could end up taking care of each other, Xander actually thought he was right for Faith. People would probably think that they were wrong for each other, the hot girl who was a bad girl and the loser guy who liked comic books and didn't really have a good fashion sense not that he cared, all that mattered was that he would be with her. "Yeah...I wish you would've let me bu that's the past I'm just y'know happy that I got to tell you how I feel," he told her honestly. He had been waiting for so long to tell her his feelings and he finally got the courage to, it felt really good.
If she had let him talk to her they could have been dating by now or at least Faith wouldn't have been in that coma and she could have helped out with a lot more stuff in Sunnydale. "What if I told you that I eat a lot of yogurt? Doesn't that boost up your immune system?" He told her not actually being serious about it. "Because us men are clueless, don't tell any guys I said that," he told her. "But you are and I mean it," he said with another smile. "Well then, looks like you and I are gonna go on a date, we'll go out to dinner," he told the girl feeling happy. He liked how Faith was being honest she was opening up. "Faith, it's okay if I get hurt we'll get through it okay?" He told her reassuringly. He wanted her to know that if he did end up getting hurt that he would be fine, Xander got through a lot and if his heart got broken he would deal like any other man would deal watching comedy movies.
