---------------------- [/color]  ----------------------[/color] The mystic grill had decided that it was going to cater for the hotel, and none other then Jeremy had got stuck working it. Just what he wanted to do, he really wasn’t in the mood for it today especially with what it was for. It was for some benefit that the Town Council was having, so everyone that worked for the Council was there. Talking about all power they have over mystic Falls, things they want changed, things they hate, things they want to do, and all the drama going on. To Jeremy it really just gets old over time. But he had a job to do and today he was going to do it, making good tips and try to have fun. He just wasn’t going to pay attention to anything else going on.
Jeremy walked around the table making sure that everything was set in place, all the grills were on and the food was staying hot. As well as all the drinks being poured ready with ice, making sure there was enough napkins, plates, knifes and forks that they would need before he started walking around checking on people at tables. It was his job to walk around and serve everyone that was sitting, he looked around and so far he didn’t see any of his friends or anyone that he knew for that matter.
He only wished that Matt could be here with them, because if he was there he be working this thing with Jeremy helping him wait tables. It really did make the job less fun now that Matt wasn’t around, Taylor was there who helped out which he was great friends with. But it still wasn’t the same Jeremy had known and been close with Matt for so long. So this whole thing really wasn’t easy on Jeremy, he really hopes that one day he finds his way back to them. In the mean time all Jeremy can do it wait tables and try to keep his mind off of things.

Katherine strutted down the hotel hallway. She had spent a few scattered nights here. But she was growing more fond of Richmond to be honest. Though she had a lot of unfinished business here in Mystic Falls. But she was not to worried about that currently. She was crashing an event tonight at the hotel. She wore an amazingly hot black lace dress. Strapless. She wore tall black patent leather stilettos. An adorable silver necklace clung to her neck. She had consider a cute coat but had gone against it tonight wanting to have fun. She had straightened her hair and tied a portion of it up to show off her new earring she had bought to match her necklace.
Katherine smiled as she pressed the button on the elevator to go down. She was amused with herself. she was rather hungry and had hoped tonight she might find someone to satiate her hunger in more ways then one. She stepped into the elevator with ease and pressed the button to the floor she required. A simple smirk on her lips. she highly doubted anyone she knew would be here which would make it more fun for her to find who was sipping the vervain and who was not. not that it really mattered she she was on it as well. She would hate for Klaus to have an excuse to compel her.
Katherine strutted out of the elevator and down the hall to the room the event was in. Her dark brown eyes soaking in the room immediately. But she came to a stop as an all to familiar face crossed her path. "Jeremey." she said softly. She could see the pretty boy was catering the event. A sigh escaped her this certainly put a damper on things. she had after all kind of patched things up with his sister. so here hunting here would not be something she wanted reported back. Damn this sucks. Richmond was just looking better and better to her.

---------------------- [/color] ----------------------[/color] It was getting busy and people were getting greedy Jeremy was running around like a chicken with his head cut off. Severing people left and right it, going from table to table. It seemed they really could have used some more help, but today they were kind of short staffed. But god forbid there boss pay for more workers, the bar owner was kind of cheap when it came to paying his workers. But one good things to all this was more tips for Jeremy, and right now at home Elena and him really could use the money.
It was time for Jeremy to take a break, he had to get a breather for a moment other wise he was going to scream. Plus he did tell Elena that he would give her a call on his break. So he began to head down the hall of the hotel near the elevators, and when he did he was surprised to see who he had bumped into. “Hey Sis what you doing here?” He said to her in a surprised like tone wondering why she was there. “I was just now going on break and was just about to call you. But what I‘m wondering is what are you doing here…” Jeremy had stopped in mid sentence it was now all starting to make sense, this wasn’t is sister this wasn’t Elena.
“Oh that’s because you are not my sister. So what are you doing here Katherine and what do you want? I don’t think there is anyone that really would interest you, so I think it be best if you just go.” Jeremy had never really been a fan of Katherine, there was just something about a girl that looked just like his sister but wasn’t that freaked him out. Plus she hasn’t made things easy for them in the past, so it was safe to say Jeremy didn’t trust her.

Katherine immediately considered dipping out but that would so put a damper on her night and she could not let that happen. Maybe she could talk he way out of this one or just play some games of her own. Why not? Time to play. A smile graced her lips as she saw Jeremey coming her way. She was completely floor when he called her sis. Katherine knew her hair was not it's usual self but come on Elena did not have this good of a sense of fashion. Nor would Katherine think Elena to be one caught dead in a dress that fitted her so snugly. But hey, sometimes you learn something new.
Katherine's smile grew when Jeremy came to the realization that it was no his dear sister before him. "Hello Jeremy." She said simply. "Nice to see you again as well sweet cheeks." she teased. She knew he would not be welcoming to her. "No need to play mean. I'm here for some plain old fun." she said with the wave of her hand. "Nothing you need to worry your little human heart about." she said with a smirk her dark eyes dancing over him. she spotted what she was looking for on her finger. Good to know his still had his anti-supernatural death ring on. Damn you John Gilbert for passing that damn thing on. She honestly did not miss John though she was surprised to hear how he passed away.
"I'm not going anywhere." she said placing a hand on her hip to make her intentions clear. "I do what I want." she said with a quick shrug of her shoulders. "Just ask your sister me and her bonded so wonderfully the other day. I really think Mystic Falls may just be my home again." she said teasing him but there was a bit of truth in it. If they were to get rid of Niklaus she hoped to make this her home again. "Where is your handsome hunk of a pal..Matt? Good I would not mind staring at that for the next hour." she said trying to get a bit of a rise out of Jeremey. She was more then happy to be amusing herself currently with banter.

---------------------- [/color] ----------------------[/color] Jeremy wondered what the hell she was even doing here, there was nothing at this charity that benefited to her at all. So it really didn’t make any since in the matter, in less she was here looking for someone or avoiding them for that matter. But with Katherine you really never knew, all that Jeremy knew was this couldn’t be good at any cost. “Hello and its not nice to see you again, again what you want!” Jeremy asked while standing there with his arms crossed, waiting for answer.
Just here for plain old fun yeah right, he was sure that here version of fun was a bit different from everyone else is. He didn’t even want to know the hell she though fun was, all though if she didn’t leave Jeremy was sure he would know here soon enough. “Fun really what kind of fun would that be, all though I don’t even think I want to know.” Said Jeremy. All though he was sure at this point it didn’t matter, he was sure that soon enough she would show him her real reason for being there. “I’m sure I will need to worry, I mean this is you we are talking about, everything about you screams trouble.”
Jeremy didn’t believe a word that she was saying about bonding with his sister, last he checked Elena hated her? “My sister bonded with you, we are talking about Elena here right?” Jeremy asked in a shocked like tone. He really didn’t think that Elena bonded with her but he was going to check, he took out his phone shooting her a text. “Can I ask why Katherine is talking to me??” Then she asked the one thing he really didn’t want to answer, it was about where matt was. “Look I really don’t want to talk about Matt ok, it not like he cared about you anyway. So why you care?” He asked her.

Katherine smiled just the rude reaction she was used to. God, Jeremey Gilbert could be so uptight. But hey maybe he would learn to loosen up a bit. She tilted her head to the side for a moment mulling it over. Nah, her and Elena going out for drinks was fine. But Jeremy she doubted he would willingly go anywhere with her. She would leave to his friends to teach him to loosen up. Katherine knew she was not trusted by Jeremy and he would not humor like the others. Nor did she intend to humor him much. she was here for some food not friendly conversation.
Katherine rolled her eyes. "Seriously, you need to take a chill pill!" she said taking a step closer to him. "Baby Gilbert really needs to learn to loosen up." she teased. A large cat like smirk on her lips. God she was enjoying herself and she had yet to even enter the benefit. "If you want to know why I am here so badly just watch me." she said simply with the shrug of her shoulders. "I'm sure it would be better for your innocence if I just told you but everyone needs to grow up at some point." she said flashing him a smile. "Trouble..." she nodded her head. "It suits me I try not to lead a dull and mundane life." Katherine smiled and looked past Jeremey. "Anything good to eat in there?" she teased looking back to him with a wink.
Katherine sighed shaking hr head. Yes, her and Elena spoke. did no one even believe a word out of her mouth. She must be loosing her edge. Oh well something she could easily fix. "Yes, dear Elena and I had drinks the other night." she said flatly. "Shocker!" she said with a sigh. "I'm one of few blood relatives she has left..." she said matter of factually. "Also I've helped you guys out more then is good for me..." she stated. "Don't forget that Jeremy." she said then let herself relax loosing then intensity she had. A smile crossed her face at his comment on matter. "I just commented on the fact of how attractive he is...not that I care for him to care for me...." she smiled shaking her head softly. "I don't care. I just like to have fun something all of you should do more often." she commented. But Katherine was already growing weary of the conversation.
"Bored now...." she said biting her lip. She looked away from Jeremey and moved to walk past him. Time for some fun.

---------------------- [/color] ----------------------[/color] She needed to stop telling Jeremy to chill out, she was starting to drive him nuts. How could see tell him to chill out after all the shit she had done in the past, Katherine is nothing but a trouble maker who only cares about her self and no one else. So it really was hard to even believe that she would be talking and getting along with Elena. He really didn't like the fact she that she was referring to him as the baby Gilbert or saying that he needed to loosen up some. "Don't tell me to loses up and don't call me baby Gilbert." Said Jeremy in a rude like tone. She was the one that need to lose up and stop getting in to peoples biasness. But lord knows she will never do that.
He began to get worried wondering what he was going to try and do, she told him just to watch which might not be a good thing. He was sacred to even see what she might try and do, letting her into the dinner they were catering was the last thing that he wanted to do. He didn't know what she might try and do or who she might try and kill, again this was Katherine so who knows what could happen. "I don't think that going in there is such a great idea, I mean really there is nothing in there for you. Going in there would be dull and boring, plus on top of that there is nothing in there to eat that you would even like." He told her. "So why even waste your time?"
He still couldn't believe that her and Elena talked, it sounded like she was feeding him so bull. Lies as always to get what she wanted. But he couldn't rule it all out yet, he was waiting for his sister to get back to him with all this. Maybe it was in fact true and he needed to ease up. "So you and my sister are getting along? May I ask what you talked about and what was with the change of heart with you too?" He asked her. He knew that he did need to cool it with Matt, but it was still hard having to deal with out him. It had been hard on all of them and they just wanted him back. Finally Jeremy got the text back from Elena telling him that it was in fact true, which did have him shocked

Katherine smile grew at Jeremy's words. My oh my he was touchy today. It was good to know she was getting under his skin. It was always good to know how to do that. Especially since it might come in handy in the future. Not that she got anything from infuriating Elena's adopted brother but in the future you never knew. It was always good to know your options. "Then by all means stop whining." she said with a sigh. "You really need to relax.' she said simply. 'I'm not here to cause you harm in anyway." she said honestly but knew he would not believe her. she was used to it.
Katherine slowly tilted her head to the side as he spoke to her. Nothing on interest. Please. She could damn well eat what she pleased and knew there would be something that would suit her perfectly for the evening. "You underestimate me Jeremy." she said flatly. "Not that I intend to but I could have plenty of fun in there. I could have an entire buffet of food and enjoy every second of it." the image of a room slaughtered flashing through her mind. But she was not really looking to make a statement like that. "But just cool. I told you there is nothing to worry your human heart over. I will have my fun and no one will end up dead....as long as you don't try and interfere." she said evenly. god she just wanted to have fun she had already had her other fun night ruined by Niklaus threatening her. Now she could not get a good meal.
Buzz kill. "I have time to kill after all. I'm still ironing out my freedom from Niklaus or his imminent death." she said with a nonchalant shrug of her shoulders. "Regardless i have time to do as I please and only so much to enjoy if Niklaus decides to end me." she said quickly. "Now get of my way." she said her patience growing quite thin. She sighed as he asked about Elena. "Just as her." she said plainly. She was not keen on going into details. "she caught me on an off day and I told her somethings she wanted to know." she said simply. "She is the last of my blood after all. i owe her a little love." she said with a smirk. "But I don't owe you anything...So stop with the silly questions. Unless you have something of import to say to me I'm going to enjoy my evening." she said with a smile the idea of finally feeding seemed relaxing. she had been so on edge since her run in with Niklaus.

---------------------- [/color] ----------------------[/color] It was hard to believe that she wasn’t going to start anything, but really how could she blame him after everything. All that she had done in the past, she had to know that didn’t make it easy. But then again she was a vampire and sometimes they weren’t always the brightest when it came to certain things. And those certain things being human feelings, they could careless about how it made that person feel for what they did. They only care about how there hunger may feel and when they are getting there next meal. “Ok so can I ask why you aren’t here to cause arm? I mean last I checked that’s really all you do. What brings you here anyway?” he asked her wondering.
Jeremy got the vision of her killing and eating everyone in the room, something that he really did even want to think about. But for some reason she said she had no intentions of doing so, even though he had no idea why she had turned sides all the sudden. “Well if no one is going to end up dead then why can I not interfere, why isn’t you don’t want me talking to you? What is that you are up to?” He asked her. He knew that she had to have her reasons for being her, most the time she has other things better to do then just talking with humans. But for some reason she felt like tonight she needed to.
It was shocking to hear that she actually said that about his sister, and a surprise that she even felt that way. But none the less he was happy that they were talking, Jeremy was just sacred this might be to go to be true. “Well I’m happy that you did talk, Elena does need more family in her life. She really is going through a lot with everything, so I’m glad you guys worked it out. “ He said to the vampire. “But no you don’t owe me anything, but in away we still kind of our family. So can I walk you in and get you a drink then”? He was trying to work it out and get along, seeing that she had made good with Elena. It really was the right thing that he could do, he was really happy knowing Elena had someone to talk to.

Katherine rolled her eyes at Jeremy's dramatics. What little he truly understood. She did not always cause harm seriously if that was the case why was he okay right now. Why was Elena unharmed. Katherine knew people always over reacted to things. Also they tended to remember the bad rather then the good. But she was used to that, no harm no foul. "This is one of the places I am staying at till I find a more permanent place to live." she said simply. "But that will change soon since I'm sure you hate me enough to blab my location to someone of consequence." she said her eyes narrowing at him.
Katherine was thinking of temporarily moving to Richmond. The neighboring town was growing on her. But she would keep that to herself for the time being. "Calm yourself Jeremy." she said softly. "If I'm not killing anyone there is no need to interfere." she said flatly. "You getting yourself worked up over nothing." she said simply. "Besides don't you hate me why would you want to be talking to me." she said simply shaking her head at him. his questions were silly. She had told him what she was here for there was no need to keep up this ridiculous games.
Katherine tilted her head to the side surprised to have Jeremy's approval for her interaction with Elena. not that she needed it or anything. His opinion was not on import to her but she was Elena would find this to mean something to her. Then he offered to walk her in. Katherine's eyes instantly narrowed at him. What was he playing at? But a smile quickly graced her lips as she took his arm. "I would love a drink." she said warmly. "Anything to take the edge off." Katherine was going to have herself a meal and if Jeremy Gilbert was determined to get in the way of it. So be it.

---------------------- [/color] ----------------------[/color] Jeremy really didn't get why she was staying at this hotel, last he checked she compelled people to let them let her use there place. So there had to be a solid reason that she was doing so, but it wasn't like the young Gilbert was going to get it out of her so he might as well give up on trying. All he could do now was just let her in the party and stop her if she tired anything at all. Good thing that he was wearing his ring, so she could try to do something all she waited but nothing was going to happen as long as Jeremy is around.
Jeremy did just need to calm down, let her go in there again she wasn't going to do anything. Not on his watch anyway so she could try all she wanted. So he might as well take a chill pill and enjoy the rest of the night. "You right I do just need to relax, so let me just walk you in. I need to get back to work myself, other wise I might be having you compelled my boss not to fire me." He said with a laugh. Jeremy didn't hate Katherine but still she wasn't his favorite person in the world, he could live with out her, but then again so could a lot of people. "I don't hate you Katherine, but I don't love you ether. But if you are trying to get along with Elena then I could maybe learn to change those feelings." He told her with a smile.
Jeremy then begin to walk into the party with the vampire, hoping to grow into a better friendship. He just really hoped that this wasn't a trick, he really didn't want to be suckered into anything today he wasn't really in the mood for any of that. "All right lets go get you that drink, that should be just the thing to take that edge off." He told her. "So any drink that you want or have in mind, just name it and I will get it for you." Jeremy was keeping a close eye on her anyway that he could, even if that meant being her friend. She wasn't going to try and get anything over on him, not today.

Katherine ran a hand through her hair wondering if he still wore the Gilbert family ring of his. Her dark eyes danced over him. A smile came to her face as she remembered her attack on Jonathan Gilbert. Running the knife through his gut and hacking off his fingers so he was not wearing his ring. She did have a flare for the dramatics. The lucky bastard still lived though. Only to die for precious Elena and give Niklaus exactly what he need for his hybrid army. But there was nothing she could do to change the past.
Katherine quirked an eyebrow up at Jeremy's reply. Was he seriously agreeing with her. That was... unexpected to say in the least. But she was not going to fight him on it in the least. A smiled etched it's way onto her face. "Well then let's get in there before you get fired." she said with a smirk. "I can always compel you a raise." she offered knowing the good two shoes in him would not take her up on the offer. "I do not need your love...but I am sure we can grow to...like each other." she said simply. She was not exactly a fan of him either. He we not the bad boy she tended to surround herself with. But he was Elena's brother of sorts and her and Elena were closer after the last adventure. She was not sure how long it would last. She had a feeling they would all hate her over who she was friends with as time went on but for the time being this was...intriguing.
Katherine followed him into the even he was catering her eyes latching onto the people inside curious if her next meal was near. but she looked to Jeremy and smiled. 'I would love a drink honey." she said. "Let's start simple with a screwdriver!" she said with a playful smirk. "I usually get scotch on the rocks but that's when I'm trying to curb my appetite for blood." she said with a quick shrug. 'You can only fight the hunger for so long." she teased gnashing her teeth at him.

He couldn’t help but laugh when she said something about compelling someone into giving him a raise, he couldn’t lie it was tempting but he didn’t need her going to do that. But in all fairness he could tell that she was just trying to be nice, which Jeremy was thankful and sacred for. It wasn’t like Katherine to be nice back like this, this really would take Jeremy a while to get use to. “No that’s ok but thanks for offering, if anything compel this party to become more fun. I swear these town get together seem to get more and more boring every time they have them. No wonder they need us to serve them food, its so they have something to do with themselves.” He told her.
It was crazy that they were trying to have understanding with each other, but it seemed as though him and Katharine were actually getting along. It was something that he never would have saw coming, again he wondered what was really going on here. Worried this was still some kind of a trick or sick joke, but all he could do was have trust and see. What else could he do really?
He walked in with Katherine taking her request for a drink, she told him what she wanted and why she chose that drink. Jeremy agreed going to get it. “A screw driver got it!” But before he could go she told him what she usually would get, he wondered why she wouldn’t want that if she didn’t want to crave blood. But he realized why right before she flashed her teeth at him, He took a step back knowing this was all a ploy to get in. “What the hell Katherine you said you wouldn’t hurt anyone! I should have known’” He told her.
She was quick but not that quick, Jeremy had a vervain needle all ready to go and she didn’t even know it yet. He jabbed it in to her neck before she could even do anything at all. It wasn’t that long after that Lexi had shown up, helping him drag her out of there. ” Don’t worry I got it from here, I will text Elena and let her know you are ok.” she told Jeremy before taking off. Jeremy went his way going back inside to finish his shift.
