- - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - Lisa had told Dean that he would listen to him, he didn't know why Ben liked to confide in him so much. Maybe because he felt he had some since of a father figure with him, but the funny thing now was Dean was in fact his dad. But maybe that was why he could confide in him, because in away Ben and Dean always knew they were in fact Father and son. Lisa was still beating herself up for lying to him, which she didn't need to it was fully understandable why she did. The sad thing was Ben was going to have to get use to lies, because it seemed in this hunting life its full of them.
"Don't worry calm down we are going to find him, there is no need to call anyone." He said trying to calm her down. "Don't worry I think I have a feeling where he might be at, I just have a hunch." If Dean knew Ben still he knew where he had went, he goes there a lot to clear his head. So Dean wasn't worried that anything could be wrong, or at lest he hopes he is safe anyway. He waited for Lisa to grab her phone so they could be off to find Ben, he could tell she was in a panic just by the way she was breathing. "Ok if you are ready lets get going, and don't you panic we are going to find him. I promise you that." Lisa and Ben made there way to Impala off to find there son.
Dean was making his way towards Ben's spot which was the park, he always loved to go there when he wanted to get away. Dean still remembers all the times that they would go there with each other throwing the foot ball, or when he helped him through his first fight which to this day Lisa still hates Dean for. But after all the kids did deserve whatever came to them. They pulled into the park and sure enough there was Ben in his spot sitting there."There he is I can see him." He told Lisa while they got out of the car making it over to him.
He quickly ran over to Ben."There you are I knew you would be out there." He said while sitting next to him. "Ben I can understand why you are mad, but you don't need to take it out on just your mom I would have done the same. With the life I live I don't know if me being your dad was the best thing at the time. But now I'm ready to try and I'm sorry for all the years you didn't know. So if you need to scream or yell at me you go right ahead, because if you really are my son then I know that's one of the only ways that you are going to feel better. But please don't hate your mom hate me if you have to." He then looked to Lisa giving her a smile. Dean sat there in silence waiting to see what his son would say.

-------------------------- -------------------------- Lisa blew out a breath as Dean told her to calm down, assuring her that he had a hunch of where Ben was and that they'd find him. "I hope so. If anything happened to him..." she trailed off, not wanting to voice the rest of her concerns. Ben would be fine. This was a small town and nothing bad had happened here, except for some occasional juvenile hijinks. There hadn't been anything major like a monster or demon for a long time. Not that Lisa was complacent with her life---that was, she didn't live like nothing could touch them---but she didn't have to freak out. When Dean indicated that he was ready to leave, Lisa hurried after him, got into the Impala, and he drove off. At first, Lisa wasn't sure where they were headed, but she soon realized that they were heading for the park. Of course. It makes sense. He's always loved it here, she thought to herself. And it was true. He loved the open space which allowed him to run around and let off some steam, and he had always loved coming here with Dean. She then shook these thoughts off as the car stopped and Dean pointed him out. "You go and I'll stay here. He's not going to want to talk to me," she stated. And if she stayed in the car, she wouldn't throttle her son like she wanted to for scaring her. She then watched as the hunter got out of the car and quickly ran to their son. She saw him talking and a part of her wished she could hear what he was saying, but she knew it was for the best. Ben needed a man-to-man talk and besides, she wasn't sure if he would even want to talk to her. He was angry with her and he had every right to be. Therefore, she'd wait and take her cues from him. --------------------------

He kept his head down even when he heard the footsteps of his parents approaching. It didn’t surprise him that Dean would know where he was going since back when they still lived in Indiana he had always gone to the school field when he wanted to get away from the craziness that was his life. Granted his life was fairly tame compared to what Dean’s life had been but that didn’t make it any less stressful, especially for a twelve year old boy. He was on the edge of a boy and a teenager, and that was never easy, add to what he had dealt with over the past couple years and his life was anything but normal.
He listened with his head down as Dean spoke and the words just made him more angry. “So you would just abandon your family because of the life you live?” He asked, though it came out as more of a hiss. “That makes you a real man does it Dean?” He asked, his voice cracking from the strain. All he had ever wanted growing up was a dad, even though his mother was more than enough. When Dean had moved in with him and his mother he had been happy to have someone to spend time with. What should have been a good thing was rapidly turning into something that wasn’t so good.
“So if you’re just planning on leaving again why did you bother to tell me? So now instead of worrying about my mom’s boyfriend I can worry about my dad?” He asked, raising his head to look at his father directly in the eye. He could hear the sincerity in Dean’s voice when he spoke about trying to be his father and he shook his head…he just didn’t get it.
“I don’t hate you, either one of you. My problem is that you would have done the same thing had you known. You don’t need to start being my dad Dean, you were that when you saved me from those weird changing things when I was eight. You were it when you lived with us! Even though I didn’t know I still saw you as my dad! Heck kids at my school used to ask me why I hadn’t talked about you before and I made up a lie saying you were a soldier and hadn’t been around much! I had lied to my friends telling them that you were my dad!” He told them, his voice cracking again thanks to the emotions as well as puberty.

- - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - He didn't want Lisa to worry Ben would be fine, which she should know Dean has always made sure to keep him safe. Even when Dean didn't even know much about Lisa anymore, he stayed in the town and saved Ben. it was a good thing to other wise Lisa never would have found him, he would have remain a prisoner to the changeling. But so would all those other kids as well, thanks to Sam and Dean they are living a long happy life with there family. Which it a great feeling to have for them. Lisa had chosen to stay in the car she didn't even want to walk up and try to talk to him. But then again maybe she felt this was needed. Maybe Lisa felt they had something's they needed to talk and work out, with just him and Ben. After all he did just find out Dean was his dad after all this time, so it might be best for them just to talk about all this alone. Lisa stayed back in the car waiting till Dean had gotten through to Ben, or if he ever does get through to him was the real question.
As Dean sat next to him Ben still was looking down and had not raised his head nor had he looked at Dean yet, which couldn't be a good sign at all. He finally spoke to Dean mad about how he had abandoned them, again it came back to the life that Dean lived. Forever and always to rune and mess up what he loved so much, he never would have a normal life or family which Dean hated. "Look Ben you wouldn't understand why I had to, just know that i did it to protect you." He told him trying to make him understand. "And I never have abandoned you, I have my ways finding out if you are safe. I knew you and your mom were doing fine, trust me I wanted to know that you guys were ok. I miss you and your mom like crazy, which is why we talked and I will be coming home more often. If that's ok with you." He asked the boy.
Dean did have a job that he needed to do, so there would be times that he would come home with them. Plus there is going to be times when he is out for a long time, longer then Ben might want him to. "Look Ben I cant stop the job that I have, so yeah I will have to leave and be gone working. Your are just going to have to try and understand why i have to be, but you don't need to worry about me I will be fine." He told him with a smile.
Dean wanted to break down and cry when he told him about what he had told the kids, it killed him never knowing to be there. Right now he felt like the worlds worse dad, he didn't blame Ben if he wanted to be mad at him. Dean should have been there so Meany times before now and he wasn't. "Look Ben even when I didn't know I have always saw and loved you as my son, and nothing is ever going to change that. Even if you weren't my son I still would love you like you were." He told him while starting to shed tears. "I love you Ben and I will always be here when you need me no mater what." He then put his arm around the boy hoping he might go in for a hug.

He glared at the man sitting next to him. “You did it because you couldn’t handle walking away from being a hunter!” He told him, his voice raised and when he realized it he tried to quiet down. He knew that while he may have been angry that gave him no right to scream out to the world what Dean did. He didn’t want to put him in more danger than he already put himself into, nor did he want to put himself or his mother in danger because of what Dean did for…well…he’d call it a living but that’s not exactly the truth.
“You left your…” He trailed off trying to find the right words. “You left what might as well have been your wife and your son to go off to find monsters with your brother! Did it ever occur to you that maybe we needed you a little bit more than your grown brother?” He asked, feeling a certain amount of animosity towards Sam Winchester even though he didn’t really know him. Sure they had met twice before but neither time he had really gotten to know him. The first time it had been Dean who had worked to rescue him and the other kids while Sam fought the older one of whatever it was that had kidnapped them.
The second time Ben had already had some issues with Dean’s younger brother since it was his fault that Dean had been so upset when he had first come to stay with him and his mother. However he disliked him even more when Dean walked away, knowing that it was only because Sam was back that he had left. He knew that it was wrong to dislike someone that he really didn’t know but he had felt abandoned and instead of blaming it on Dean it was easier to blame it on the person that he didn’t know.
The person that he just realized was his uncle.
He felt Dean’s arm around him and while he wanted to hug him back instead he stayed stiff, not knowing how to deal with it. “No Dean, I don’t have to deal with the fact that you have to pick up and leave. You shouldn’t have to walk away from your family. What is the point of doing what you do if you don’t have a home to go back to?” He asked, not understanding. “You think that mom and I are going to wait around forever, but we won’t…we can’t. How will you feel if she gets married one day to someone who isn’t you because you couldn’t choose her over the job ever?” He asked, knowing that he sounded a lot older than his 12 years and not caring one bit.

- - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - Ben didn't know what he was talking about, Dean wished so much that he could walk away from being a hunter. Once you are in this life that's it, it isn't that easy just to walk away from it. Once you know what is really out there you do what you have to do to keep your family safe, and that's what Dean has been trying to do. "Look Ben I tired to be a hunter while I lived with you and your mom to keep you two safe, the town we live in isn't safe you have to know that."He explained to him. " I have had to leave because it was to much for your mom to take, but your mom and me have talked we are going to work it out. Things are going to be better you will see, I'm sorry that I can't make up for all the other years. But I will do my best to try son."
Dean felt so bad for not being there for Ben, he felt like the worst person in the world right now. If he would have known about his son long ago maybe things would have been different, but then again maybe they wouldn't have. Dean could help always being there for Sam like he was, after all he was the only family he had. Dean grew up with Sam he been there for him at every moment of there life, he could just abandoned him and walkway. "I'm sorry to make you feel that way, Sam your uncle and I are very close. So its hard for me just to walkway from him, but I'm sure he will be kicking my ass for not being with you more as well." Dean knew that Sam was going to be shocked to hear that he was in fact an Uncle, but he knew that the same time he was going to be happy.
Ben was right Dean hated thinking about Lisa being married to someone else, its something that Dean doesn't even think he could take or deal with. But then again maybe Ben was right, Lisa wouldn't want to deal or wait forever for him. So it was something that he would have to come to terms with if it happened. "Ben you are right I know, which is why my I will try and do Better. I love you so much Ben, even before I found out you were my Son I have always felt that deep down you were my son." Said Dean. " Don't worry you will be seeing me at home more often."

“That’s my whole point!” He cried out, getting frustrated with the man seated next to him. “Did you not just hear what you said? ‘I tried to be a hunter while I lived with you and your mom to keep you two safe’…that’s my whole point! Why not just stop being a hunter Dean?” He asked him, his eyes watery yet luckily for him no tears were leaking out yet. “I understand about locking up the house at night and keeping the stuff you do, but why do you have to seek things out instead of just being a normal regular person?” He asked. “Aren’t we enough?”
He sighed, shaking his head. “You are closer to your brother than you are to your son…that’s not right.” He told him, his hands falling down in defeat. He knew that there was nothing that he could say about the relationship between Dean and Sam because it was something that he just didn’t understand. He didn’t have any siblings and didn’t have a father growing up so he didn’t understand either of the relationships other than what he saw from his friends and on television and movies. He would accept that and leave it alone, but that didn’t mean that he wouldn’t quietly harbor resentment against the relationship.
Hearing that Dean hadn't told Sam about him didn't surprise Ben in the least though it did hurt a little. “So Sam doesn’t know you have a kid either huh?” He asked, his fingers pulling at a string on his jeans. “Why doesn’t that surprise me?” He continued on before realizing how tired he was. His exhaustion was more mental than physical but he just wanted to have this night over with. Maybe when he woke up this would all be some sort of cruel dream to make him stop wishing every night that his father was in his life…though Ben knew he wasn’t that lucky.
He shook his head, done with this particular conversation. He could tell that what he said had gotten to Dean and that was enough for now. He doubted that it would change anything and sure, while Dean was in town he may come around, but how long before something big happened and he and Sam had to leave? How much longer did he truly have to get to spend time with his father? Ben didn’t know and he didn’t want to think about it any longer. He just wanted to go home.
“Mom’s in the car, let’s go. I’m tired.” He told him, standing up and starting to walk, not waiting to see if Dean would follow him.

- - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - Dean was being dumb here and needed to read between the lines on this, he still wasn’t getting what Ben wanted. He wanted him to just leave the job and quit hunting. But Dean knew that it wasn’t that easy, he couldn’t just leave the life that he lived. It wasn’t that easy just to get up and leave, not with knowing what he knows. Knowing what’s out there, knowing what danger Ben and Lisa could be in, keeping them safe was all that matter to him. “Ben I have to do what I do I mean…” Dean didn’t know what to say, or what to do to make him understand because it didn’t matter what he would say. Ben was still going to be upset no matter what his excuse was. “it hard to explain why I cant get away from the job, and I’m sorry if that makes you mad at me. But it isn’t going to stop me from being the best dad that I can be.” He told him. “You know my dad was a hunter, I use to think of him as a super hero at times. I didn’t hate him for what he did, I knew he had to do what he was doing” Dean knew saying that wasn’t going to make a difference, but it was worth a shot.
Ben didn’t know what he was saying, it may seem like he was closer with Sam yes. But that was going to change here soon, Dean has always wanted a son more then anything. So to know now that he did have one was the best feeling in the world. Ben and him would become closer then he thought, Dean plains on teaching and showing him anything that he can. That is the things he didn’t all ready know. The truth was he already was a lot like Dean in more ways then one, they loved cars, rock, food, and girls. It so made sense now that he was in fact his son. “Ben I may be close with Sam now but in all fairness I didn’t know I had a son. “ He then pulled him next to him tightly. “Ben I cant wait to tell the world that I have a son, you and I are going to have so much fun. I cant wait to teach you all the things a dad should, Sam better move over because I think its safe to say my best bud is right here with me.” He said trying not to tear up.
No Sam didn’t know about Ben, but when he finds out he is going to be just as excited as Dean is. Sam has always loved and been great with kids, lot better then Dean has anyway. There is just something about Sam that they love, maybe its because he is a kid. (Well to Dean he is anyway) “No Sam doesn’t know yet, but he is going to be so happy when he does find out. I got to say Ben I cant wait to tell him.” Dean said with a smile. He could tell that no matter what he said right now wasn’t going to matter to the kid, it was safe to say they just needed to head home. He wasn’t going to get anywhere with him, today anyway. Dean got up following Ben back over to the car where Lisa was sitting.
Making to the car he opened the door for Ben to get in, letting him take a seat. Dean then got in sitting down in the diver seat smiling at Lisa. “Did you miss me?” he asked her with a playful like smile. “I think I should take us home, eat dinner then we all talk a bit more.” Dean then looked in the back seat wanting to know what Ben thought about that. “How’s that sound son?”

-------------------------- -------------------------- Lisa bit her lip as Dean went over to where Ben was and watched anxiously as the two began to talk. I wonder what they're saying, she thought to herself. It was too low for her to hear, but maybe that was a good thing. Ben was upset and he needed to talk about this with someone he wasn't upset with...though she wasn't sure if Ben was upset with Dean as well, though from the body language, it would appear that Ben was with Dean as well. Not that she could blame her son. She had really screwed things up. It was stupid keeping this from him. I should've just told the truth from the start, she thought to herself. Maybe if she had, she wouldn't be in this situation. She let out another breath as she crossed her arms and then leaned forward, letting herself sprawl out in the seat. Well, as much as you could in an Impala. The car wasn't exactly made for sprawling out and Lisa was a bit cramped in her new position, but she didn't care. Sometimes she could think better when she was sprawled out...not that she expected to get much thinking done. But it was something to do at least. After several minutes of them talking, she heard Ben yelling about Dean leaving and asking why couldn't he just quit hunting and stay with them? She let out a small breath as she moved out of her previous situation so that she was sitting up again. She had often wondered the same thing. Why couldn't they be enough for Dean? What was it about hunting that kept drawing him in? Then again, a part of her knew the answer to that question: the innocents. The people that he and Sam saved with every case they took. How could she ask him to stop saving lives? It would be selfish of her. Granted, it had taken her a while to come to terms with this, and Ben was still a little boy. All he had ever wanted was a father figure and just now learning that Dean wasn't just a father figure, but his father, she was sure that he was feeling all kinds of emotions. Oh, if only I hadn't lied to him. I should've just told him the truth. And I should've just told Dean when I first realized that he was Ben's father, she thought to herself. Her thoughts were cut off when she saw Ben and Dean coming back. As they did so, she heard Dean suggesting that they go home, have dinner, and talk some more. "That sounds like a good idea," Lisa agreed, her lips curving into a grin when she heard the word "Son" from Dean. That sounded so right. Other guys had tried calling Ben that and it had always sounded weird. "I know we still have a lot to discuss," she continued. --------------------------

He knew that Dean was trying to explain but really all he was doing was making Ben more angry. He was twelve so the whole having obligations to other people besides those that you actually knew didn’t really make much sense to him. He had never thought about the fact that the world could have ended many times over had it not been for Sam and Dean, he hadn’t thought about the fact that there were a lot of people out there who would have died had it not been for Sam and Dean…and to be frank…he really didn’t want too.
Ben wasn’t a selfish kid by nature, he really did understand wanting to help people. What he didn’t understand was constantly having to choose helping strangers over staying and making your family happy. He didn’t like it and he didn’t want to understand it. He didn’t want to have to come to the conclusion that he was being selfish since he’d rather just feel like the wronged party in this. He didn’t want to have to figure out exactly why it bothered him so much that Dean ran off on all these dangerous missions, never telling him or his mom where he was going.
He didn’t want to admit that he was afraid of losing his father.
The knowledge hit him like a ton of bricks as he walked, hit him so hard that he almost stumbled but was able to keep it together in the last minute. He was afraid…afraid that if something happened to Dean that he would never know about it. He would never know where his father had died, never be able to visit a grave, and never be able to know exactly who his father had been besides the man that he had known for the few short years that they had together…and that was just here and there a few days every year or so.
He heard what Dean said but didn’t really say much back to him, not wanting to talk about it anymore. He slid into the backseat and listened as his mother and Dean bantered as any other couple would do. He didn’t say a word until they asked him about food and he shrugged. “As long as it’s mom cooking and not you Dean…I don’t think I’d want to taste your cooking.” He stated with a mock shiver, knowing that while they did have a lot more to discuss that he couldn’t be a jerk…not in front of his mom at least.

- - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - Lisa was right they did have more things that they needed to discuss with each other, so going home did seem like the best idea for now at lest. Maybe then after they eat and calm down a bit Ben wont be so mad, well he hopes so anyway. Ben had said something to put down Dean’s cooking, but really little did he know that Dean had became a much better cook recently. Seeing that he got tired of Sam picking on him for not knowing how to, more less his brother got tired of cooking. “You know Ben I’m not as bad of a cook that you think I am, but yes your mother will be doing the cooking. I miss her home cooked meals myself, getting real tired of fast food.” Said Dean.
Dean began to start up the Impala taking off from the park, he knew that it was going to be a long quite ride home. Which it was Ben had his arms crossed the whole way home in the backseat, with a pissed off look on his face, and Lisa was just quite because she didn’t know what to say. She was hurt and sacred that Ben was never going to forgive her, even though Dean knew that he would. Every so often on the ride home he would turn a bit, giving Lisa a smile. Dean even placed his right hand on top of hers while he drove, trying to show comfort to her. He could feel by the way her hands felt she was still a bit upset. But Dean could also tell that has he held her hand slowly but surely she had calmed down a bit. Lets just hope that things at home keep going smoothly, and Ben doesn’t lose it again.
Making it back he parked the Impala right outside the house. “All right guys we are here, now what you say we go in and get us some dinner. I’m sure your mom has made us something good.“ Said Dean to Ben. Getting out with everyone they began to all head back in. He walked into the kitchen with everyone taking a seat at the table. “Lisa I cant wait to see what you are cooking up for us.” Dean said with a smile.

-------------------------- -------------------------- Lisa hadn't been sure if Ben would agree to them going home to eat and talk, but to her relief, he had, providing that Dean didn't do the cooking, emphasizing his complaint with a mock shiver, causing her to laugh, even as Dean countered that he wasn't as bad of a cook that the younger boy thought. "True...as long as it's not a ham. We're still getting Christmas cards from the fire department," she chimed in, her eyes twinkling in laughter as Ben got into the backseat. Oh, she would never forget that day. Dean had tried his best, but had set the oven too high, causing a small fire. Terrifying at the time, but humorous now. "And if you'd listen to your brother once in a while and order a real meal, maybe you wouldn't be so tired of fast food," she teased, moving over so that Dean could sit in the driver's seat, making sure that she was buckled in. As Dean drove the car towards their home, Lisa turned to glance at Ben. Yup He was still pissed. Not that she really blamed him. She didn't really expect one conversation to fix everything. There was a lot of ground to cover and they'd probably have to have more than one conversation to deal with all of their issues, but it'd be nice to have all of their feelings about the situation out in the open. Well, at least hers and Ben's feelings. Dean didn't really do emotions so she wasn't really sure if he would tell them how he was feeling about all of this. But then again, when things were serious, Dean did open up a bit. So maybe he would tell them how he was feeling about all of this. She let out a deep sigh and ran her fingers through her hair, trying to think of something to break the silence. However, nothing came to mind. After all, what could she say right now that wouldn't just make Ben even more upset than he already was? These thoughts faded as they reached the house and they got out, as Dean said that they should go in and see what Lisa had cooking. For a moment, she considered being coy in response, but pushed the urge down. Now wasn't the time. They were here to discuss how they were all feeling about Dean's new role in their lives. "I thought I'd do something simple: Chicken, rice, corn, and string beens. Would only take about an hour to make," she replied as she went to get what she needed to make the meal and started prepping it, which included preheating the oven. That way they could eat, talk, get everything out in the open and Dean could have a decent meal and hopefully, things would go well...not that she really expected them to, but she could hope. She then put a chicken in the oven, put the corn, beans, and rice on the stove, turning on the burners. When the meal was ready, she set the table, brought the plates and pans over, brought out a couple of containers of juice, and then finally sat down. "Well, as I said, chicken, rice, corn, and string beans. A little plain and simple, but I think we can use a little bit of that right now," she stated in response to Dean's comment. Heaven knew she could. Besides, she had a feeling that tonight would be an emotional rollercoaster. And she for one, was not looking forward to this. Please, please let us just get through this without tearing each other's heads off, she thought to herself. OOC I have a feeling this is gonna be like the Gilmore Girl ep where Lorelai, Rory, Richard, and Emily spent like six hours hashing out all of their issues with each other. --------------------------

Ben sat in the back seat and laid his head against the back of the car, his eyes sliding closed. He hated the tension that was felt in the car though he knew that it was mostly his fault. He wasn’t sure why he couldn’t just be happy that he now had a father, a father that he had already loved as a father. He wasn’t sure why he was so angry. He knew had he asked his friend’s mom (who was also his teacher which led her to being pretty close with all the students since she knew them as both students and surrogate sons) she would say it was all a part of becoming a teenager.
If this was becoming a teenager he would much prefer to stay a kid.
He felt his phone vibrate against his back pocket. His mother had recently gotten him a cell phone since he was walking a few blocks home every day from school with a couple of his friends. It was for emergencies however she also told him that he had a certain number of minutes and unlimited text messaging. The minutes never got used as like most boys he wasn’t a huge talker, however the text messages got used quite frequently.
Pulling out his cell phone he looked at it. It was from Richard, a friend from soccer. Yo, We R having a movie nite. Wanna come? He briefly thought about asking his mother but before he opened his mouth he knew it wouldn’t do anything other than delay the talk that he knew was coming between himself, his mother and Dean…his father. He would never get used to thinking that. He wondered if it bothered Dean that he hadn’t jumped right in and started calling him dad. He had noticed that the older man had called him son quite a bit but he just couldn’t bring himself to do it…not yet. Maybe one day.
He text messaged Richard back quickly saying that he couldn’t because of family crap before putting his phone away. That’s when he heard Dean’s comment about cooking and he couldn’t help but let out a snort. “Yeah, okay Dean. We all know you love fast food. Especially those pies you seem to be able to find anywhere and everywhere. Is that a gut I see that you are growing?” He asked teasingly, though his face never lost its impassive look.
For some reason once they got inside and everyone sort of looking at one another he had a flashback to a show that his mother sometimes liked to watch. He would admit he found it amusing but it was a little too girly for his tastes. Okay, so he really did like the show but it was not something that anyone but his mother knew about. He couldn’t help but break the tension so he looked over at his mother and smirked. “We were sixteen, we didn’t want to get married!” He told her with a glint in his eyes, knowing that she would catch on but Dean probably wouldn’t.
Ben’s Clothes Can Be Viewed Here.
Note:: Okay, so I know it was really OOC for Ben to like Gilmore Girls but Ghost your OOC note gave me the idea. So let’s just pretend that Lisa made him watch it and he ended up liking it and that’s his biggest secret and such. K?

- - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - Dean hoped that making it to the house would make things better. He hoped that some how some way that Ben would talk to him, well with out being mad anyway. But Dean knew that was a pipe dream, he was just going to have to deal with the fact that he was going to be mad at him for a good while. But that wasn’t going to stop Dean from trying, he was still going to be around, and still was going to continue to try and talk to him. After all Ben was his boy, his son, something that Dean will never get tired of saying or hearing for that matter.
Dean sat at the table sitting quietly just like one of the kids, while Ben sat there just as quite as he was. The tension in the room was so bad you could cut it with a knife, to bad for Dean he didn’t have one on him right now. Out of all the times not to have one it had to be now. Dean slowly tapped his fingers on the table, waiting for Lisa to serve them. He could smell how good it smelled and it wasn’t even to the table yet. “I think that’s sounds great Lisa. I cant wait to try it.” Said Dean as he began to place his napkin in his lap. When it was ready and she brought it to the table Dean could help but just want to take a piece, but after not being there for so long he didn’t want to seem like a pig. “Well babe I don’t think it look plain and simple, I think it looks amazing. Watch this be the best meal that I have ever had.” He said while giving her a sweet smile. “But Ben is right I need to quit eating all that fast food am getting fat.”
He then noticed Ben taking out and putting back his cell phone, almost like he was upset. Dean just hoped that he wasn’t missing out on something with his friends. That was the last thing that Dean wanted to do. “You know Ben if you had plans I wont be man if you need to leave.” Dean told him was trying so hard trying to make him see that he cared. “ I know what its like wanting to hang with your friends, I was a kid once I know how it goes.”
But then he heard him whisper something over to Lisa, something that wasn’t what Dean wanted to hear. It was another reminder of how much of a dumb kid Dean was, and how many dumb choices he had made in his life. It his Dean realizing that he was the reason that Ben was so unhappy, and that he may or may not except him. He just really hoped he didn’t lose what him and Ben had, before he knew all this he loved Dean. Now it seemed like he could careless. Dean leaned over to Lisa. “You know maybe I should go I don’t think Ben wants me here right now, maybe he needs time babe.” He said whispering in her ear.

-------------------------- -------------------------- After sitting down, she took a quick glance at Dean and knew that like her, he could feel the tension in the air. Okay, someone needs to say something here, she thought to herself. It wasn't going to be easy, she knew that. In the car, Ben's phone had gone off and he had obviously replied, but she had no idea what it had been all about and she wasn't about to pry. She wasn't going to turn into one of those mothers. Okay, so she was a bit overprotective these days, wanting to know where Ben was and who he was with, but having your son kidnapped by some weird creature would make anyone a bit antsy. It's not like she insisted on knowing every single detail in his life. She knew when to let him have his space and this was one of those times. Not that she could really blame him. Heck, he had gotten the bombshell of a lifetime. If their situations were reversed, she'd want some space herself. Her thoughts were interrupted when she heard Ben's voice quoting a line from a Gilmore Girls episode she had seen and she flashed him a smile. A little bit after she had gotten him back from the creature that had taken him, she had forced him to sit down and watch a marathon with her despite his objections. And from what she was hearing, he had apparently watched an episode or two again. "Yes, but a child needs both a mother and a father," she said back, feeling a pang of sadness. That quote was so true and yet she had deprived her son of his father for so long because of her own selfishness. How could she have been so stupid? She should've told Dean the truth as soon as she realized that he was the father and she should've told Ben right from the start who his father was. She had no one to blame for this mess but herself. She fidgited in her seat for a moment and then stood up, grabbed Dean's plate, put the proper amount of food on his plate and then did the same for Ben before getting food for herself. As she did so, she heard Dean tell Ben that if he had plans, he didn't have to stay and that warmed her heart. Bless that man, he was trying to make things easier for him. "Dean's right. I know that this is your usual movie night for you and your friends. If you'd prefer, we can put the talk off until later...as long as you bring me back some leftovers for own movie night of course," she told him. Movie night. Oh, how she loved those. Mainly because they always tried to watch a wide variety of movies ranging all the way from Ghostbusters to Sleepless In Seatle. They didn't always make it through all of their selections, but that didn't really matter. What mattered was that they were spending time together. Suddenly, Lisa heard Dean's voice in her ear, saying that he wasn't sure that Ben wanted him around and that he needed time. "No, it's fine, Dean. We were just sharing a bit of a joke," she assured him softly, while resisting the urge to caress his jawline with a finger as she used to. Oh, but it was so hard! She just wanted to give into the urge to touch him. But that wasn't what they were here for. They were here to clear the air about everything. So, that's what they would do: focus on any questions Ben might have. "Well, come on, dig in!" she encouraged. She didn't want her food to get cold after all. -------------------------- Note: Me too!
