Danny knew he wanted to go shopping for some new threads and he knew that the stores around him did not have the selection that he wanted. So he logged onto his laptop computer and typed up the mall and it showed him the nearest mall to him. he read the title and he saw that it was in Mid Rivers, Virginia. He looked up the mileage total. he figured that the mileage was not a big issue when he considered the type of clothes he wanted to buy. So he logged off and gathered his car keys.He then placed the keys into his pants pocket. He stepped out of his apartment, locked the door and walked to his car. He found his car, unlocked his car door and slipped into the drivers seat. He put the keys into the ignition and turned them to the side and the engine revved up. he turned the radio on and skimmed through the stations. he stopped at a country music station.He then put his seatbelt on and drove away. As he was driving he glanced all around him and saw various types of people walking around. It did not matter if they were by themselves or was with groups of people they did look happy. Danny knew that was the way to feel like because if you felt the other way then life would pass you by quickly.

He had passed several towns before he finally got to Mid Rivers. he took about ten to fifteen minutes before he found the mall. He tried to find a parking space that was close to the doors. He parked the car and then stepped out of the car. he locked the door and started walking towards the mall doors. He stepped inside and saw a boatload of people walking around. he knew that there was probably hundreds of stores and he liked selection to choose from. he came to a clothing store and walked into the store. he had a keen sense of the name brands of clothing . He walked to the selection that caught his eye. He raised a few shirts up and placed them on front of his chest and looked in the mirror and shook his head at the horrible sight that it provided. he was not going to buy something that could attract the wrong type crowd. He finally came to a goose down feather shirt that had a few buttons near the neck area. and then found a pair of panths. He was on the way to the register when he spotted a pair of shoes that was just adorable and would go great with the clothing he picked out.

Caroline had found herself wondering what was outside of Richmond and Mystic Falls. She had never had the chance go anywhere before now and it seemed that it was the best place to be currently. Everywhere else was just full of drama and twisted plots to get one up on someone else, even if it was something that you cared deeply for. Part of her had no idea what she would even do or where she would go. She had heard of a larger town an hours drive from Mystic Falls named Mid Rivers and that it had a huge mall there. She wondered if a bit of shopping therapy was what she needed. It had always worked in the past and it always made her feel better. A good pair of news shoes to help her along. She sighed at the things her mom would say at the thought of going out and buying more clothes. Not that Caroline cared what her mom thought about it, she would just have to suck it up.

Twirling her hair around one finger as she drove so it curled in the exact way that she liked it to. Her hair was naturally curly which could be a plus sometimes but even then it needed encouragement to curl the correct way sometimes. She didn't mind though, just because her life was a mess didn't mean it was an excuse for her appearance to be as well. Once she knew her hair was perfect she concentrated more on the driving as she passed Richmond. She hadn't been this far out before and knew that because she hadn't left a note for her mom she couldn't be out too long. She estimated two hours for shopping and the two hour drive there and back would be just enough time to get there and back without anyone noticing she was gone. Unless of course chaos reined in her absence which really wouldn't surprise her. She sighed at the thought of coming home to yet another mess. She needed to get things sorted with Elena and find out what had happened to make her almost die because of the small amount of blood Klaus had taken from her.

Looking around she realized she had entered the town of Mid Rivers. It was strange to be in such a large town. Mystic Falls was you crossed Wickery bridge and then voila you were in the town square with not a whole lot of other places to go. But here was different, there was something to see everywhere you went. She was completely fascinated with her surroundings. She saw what must be the entrance to the shopping mall. When she turned in however what she saw literally took her breath away not that she needed it in the first place. She couldn't believe her eyes at this place, it was amazing. She turned into the mall and parked her car looking around in wonder. Before getting out she applied a layer of lip gloss and fluffed her hair slightly. Smiling she got out the car and locking it behind her she entered the biggest shopping mall she had ever seen. She was surrounded by so many shops she had no idea where to start. Shoes were always a good start however.

Walking in to a shop she took in the scent of leather and suade. Shoe shops always made her happier and what a better escape right? She smiled as she flitted from one pair of shoes to another. She wasn't even concentrating on her surroundings which was rare for her. Normally she was super aware of who and what was around her. Hoisting her bag onto her shoulders a little more she looked around and tried to focus. She could smell another supernatural being in this shop but didn't know where the smell was coming from, there were too many people as the shop was so big. On display she found a pair of boots that looked simply amazing. She headed towards then until she bumped into someone head first. The scent that had been somewhat familiar, a werewolf. She frowned but hoped he couldn't smell what she was. "Dude I'm soo sorry. I wasn't looking around me only at that awesome pair of boots in front of me. Are you ok?"

[/color] She wasn't as strong as some of the other vampires but enough to knock a human on their ass. This guy wasn't human however.

Danny was headed towards the register when he passed a pair of shoes. he then stopped,focused his glance at the shoes. That was when a familiar smell came across his nose. He knew it was not human and that is was a vampire. He started thinking" Oh great. here I am trying to get some clothing and shoes and i get distracted by a vampire smell.What else could go wrong"He refocused his attention from the shoes and started looking around the store. He saw several people around him and figured that they were human. He put his focus back on the shoes. There were several good looking shoes on the rack. There were some fashion disaster type shoes also. he would only get the best looking ones because he did not want to be a fashion victim when it came to appearances. He started to think" That smell is getting stronger and stronger. Ithey must be getting closer by the minute. I better get ready to defend myself itf it comes to it." As he turns around he gets head butted by a blonde curl haired girl. She then apologized for running into him and that she was distracted at the shoes. Danny said" Well you should be sorry? I can tell what you are and I am assuming you can tell what i am. That must mean we are supposed to be enemies ? The shoes can be a distraction can they not? I am ok just please try and not do it again."

Danny looked this girl up and down. She was a sight to see.Danny was thinking" Wow she is a good sight to see. She must know how to take good care of her appearances. Wonder what her name is" Danny asked"{b] So do you go around places showing other people your head like that? How long have you been that way?I am danny and you would be?"[/b] Danny was looking at the clothing items that he had in his hands. He picked them up off the floor. He shook his head and wondered why he had to run into a vampire on such a good day. He looked around to see if anyone else was around and no one was.Danny looked at her and wondered how she would react to his questions and comments that he had directed at her. he also wondered if he would like the answers that she would give him.

Caroline was often found getting lost in her own world. The world of Caroline. Plus shoes were involved which meant that was the main thing that was occupying her mind. Of course she could still rely on her other senses such as her sense of smell. There was a scent that was coming to her and it made her wonder if Tyler was here, but then she realised it was what he used to smell like. That was different. It meant that there was another werewolf here but she didn't want to pay any mind to that kind of thing. No if anything she had come here for some retail therapy to get away from all of the supernatural things that were happening. She figured that as long as she didn't do anything offensive she wouldn't make an enemy of another wolf today. No she would instead focus upon her shoes and what would look good with the outfits she already had or if she would have to go off and buy more as a back up.

Caroline glanced around her and saw people milling around everywhere they went. It seemed like everyone was here to shop today. It was a weekend she figured the mall would be a big hang out area. She wondered what life would have been like if she had had a mall to hang out at. Of course instead they had the Mystic Grill and that was the main area that they all hung out. It was just as good. She thought about coffee for a moment and instantly wanted to go out and get some. Once she bought that pair of shoes, they were calling to her like none of the others in the store. They were suade which normally wasn't her type but it seemed that these were an exception. How could they not? They were amazing. They were grey and only ankle boots but still they would look killer with a good pair of jeans.

Of course head butting someone hadn't been her plan. She looked over at him, he seemed nice enough. She hadn't meant to run head first into someone, she could get so distracted when it came to her favourite items. She sighed. However when he spoke she was a little taken aback. He was being nothing but rude and if that was how he was going to play it then that was all he was going to get back. THis shop was packed but not as much as some others and this area was easy and they were alone pretty much. "You know generally when someone says they are sorry they mean it, theres no need to be rude about it. So you know what I am do you just blert that out to all the supernatural beings you meet because I sure as hell hope your more dicreet than that"

[/color] She crossed her arms over her chest and leant on one leg.

Flipping her hair over one shoulder she watched him carefully. It was douche bags like him that made her wonder why males even existed. Why couldn't they just show their true colours so the girls knew exactly what they were getting with them. She wanted to shove this guy so hard but knew better than to cause a scene in public. The best part was she was much stronger than him simply for the fact that it wasn't a full moon and that was the only time it was even between the two of them. "I'm going to go on a limb here and say you've never met another vampire because if you had you would be nicer to them. I'm glad you have a name because otherwise i'll jsut be calling you douche bag. I'm Caroline and as a matter of fact IO apologized for head butting you, it was a mistake. I'm sure someone such as yourself can appreciate a girls need for fashion every now and then"[/color] She added on the end. It was super obvious this guy was not straight.

Danny kind of gave Caroline a rough time after she headbutted him. He knew thst she probably did not mean to but that was beside the point. It kind of made him stumble back a bit. Danny said" Well I am sorry that i jumped on your case and I accept your apology You really pack a punch so to speak.I am not surprised seeing as what you are.So how long have you been one? If you do not mind talking about it as discreetly as possible." He knew that he would have to be be doubly nice to get her on her good side.Danny was mentally kicking himself for being a bad guy . It was not what he usually was. Danny said" That would be right. I had a guess that i was not alone in the supernatural world but i never met one of you. Nice to meet you Caroline. That is a beautiful name and I am truly sorry for how I treated you. That is usually not who I am."

Danny took a breath from talking as long as he did. Danny said" So what type of shoes were you looking for. I like gucci myselg. I have seen prada before but that was never my style.You must think it is weird to see a guy shopping for shoes. I would have to admit that it could be true. I am a avid shopper for all sorts. I just like the pleasure of looking good. So where you from if I may ask? I am from richmond Virginia. I know it may be a long way to go to shop but they did not have a good selection where i am from.I have been known to wander all over Virginia.When I find something I like in a town I wander into i stay in that town for a long extended amount of time.Usually it is the small close knit town and what not.

Caroline hated being treated like she was something dirty. She hated it especially when guys thought they could talk to her like crap. They were sorely mistaken. She knew how to stand up for herself, even more now that she was a vampire. She had been training with the Salvatore brothers, well mainly Stefan, when she had first turned and knew how to handle herself should things get ugly. Well this guy Danny was pissing her off enough she might just break his arm to proove a point. But shook herself out of it. She wasn't like that, her emotions still got the better of her sometimes, she was technically still a new vampire, barely a year old. Everything had changed over that year though and now she was stuck as a seventeen year old girl who would forever go through life alone as her best friends and family would pass on with out her.

Caroline stood there with her arms crossed and watched him. He seemed to calm himself down and apologized for being a grade A douche bag to her before. At least he had some kind of manners, that was a start. She nodded her approval. She sighed at his question, he obviously hadn't met another vampire yet. "Yes well it definitely comes with the package. It's ok apology accepted, just be careful who you run your mouth off to, it can get you into trouble. Also i'm not too old, just about a year now"

[/color] She spoke and shrugged. She looked around the store just to ensure that no one else was around. If someone over heard their conversation they probably wouldn't understand what they were talking about but it was better to be safe than sorry. She didn't want to get found out in this town as well, one town was bad enough, two was just asking for trouble.

Danny sure knew how to talk. Maybe that was one of his things, talking alot towards people. She didn't know what to make of it really. She wasn't really used to chatty werewolves, they normally kept to themselvea and brooded about the thought of the next full moon. Well unlike Tyler who just complained that he was horny all the time. She almost giggled at the awkward memory. She shook it off and refocused on the here and now. She pointed at the shoes on the display. "Those ones. I haven't had designer shoes in awhile and this is soo not the place to be if your looking for designer. Mid Rivers might be a good place but I doubt it holds what your after. However shopping of any kind is always more than welcome. Shoe shopping is my thing but retail shopping in general is like a therapy to me"[/color] She added with a slight chuckle to her voice.

Danny had been regretting how he had been treating Caroline. He was a nice guy and no matter Caroline being a vampire he should be the better guy and be nice to her. He was mentally kicking himself for being that way. Danny said"Good because I should not have behaved like I did. Usually i am a good well mannered guy. i guess what you were brought a bad guy attitude out of me. Yeah running your mouth can lead to trouble. You do not know who you might run it off to and what they might do to you. You know if someone that did not know you or what you were heard that they might think you are crazy saying that you are a year old." He chuckled at his comment. Danny extended his hand to her and waited to see if she would return the favor and shake his hand. As he was waiting he heard her ask a question. Danny shook his head and said" No i have not met much of your kind. That does not mean i do not know how to treat members of your kind. You just took me off guard and that is why I reacted like i did and that headbutt to the gut also.I like designer shoes but yeah I doubt this place has them. I guess i can just take whatever they have and live with them. After all I am not that pretentious . So i agree with it being therapy and i find it a thing to do while getting away from drama and stuff like that. I am guessing that you have a lot of people flocking all over you."

Danny took his comb out of his pocket and combed his hair to the side and then flattened it out to make it look stylish. he always liked to look good and always make a statement. He did not like to look like he just threw something about and like he just stepped out of a good will store. Danny said" I bet you spend quite a long time ion front of the mirror when you get dressed up for just about anyplace you go to. i know i do. i got to look nice no matter what it is or wh it is for. I can not stand looking trashy or filthy. That is totally a fashion disaster.I see i am just jabbering on."T

Caroline looked over at the werewolf. There was something about him, she figured that he could probably be really sweet as well. Either way first impressions weren't exactly good and just because she was no longer human didn't mean that she was going to be treated any less like a girl and given the respect she deserved. She was Miss Mystic Falls after all. However the guy seemed to be more apologetic than anything else which was a plus really. She didn't mind if he apologized as long as he did't revert back to the obviously other side of him where we was rude and arrogant. She figured that she would be nicer as well, she could be a well known bitch when someone pisses her off but today she was going to try and rein it in and be nicer to him also. She needed that for herself as well as for his sake.

She smiled towards him and shook her head. She would be polite now anyways. "It's ok seriously chill out. Apology accepted, everyone has their moments of clarity where they realise they made a mistake. I shouldn't have gone off on you either so i'm sorry about that"

[/color] She added with a slight smile. She couldn't help the small giggle that escaped her when he said that peope might think she was crazy if they heard her say she was only one year old. " Yes well as far as I'm concerned I am a little crazy and I think everyone has to be to live in the world we live in. Don't you agree?"[/color] She said with a lingering smile playing on her lips. She walked over to the shoes she had orginally been going for and picked them up. She woud no doubt end up buying them whether or not she wanted to.

He carried on when she asked if he had met another vampire. It was obvious he hadn't and he pretty much confirmed it as well. She smiled and nodded as she looked back at him fro the shoes. They really were a great pair. " Well how did you know my scent then if you hadn't met another one? I only knew your becaue I used to date a werewolf?"[/color] She asked carefully. She didn't want to upset him in anyway. " I don't have flocks of people no, hardly anyone actually. Just enough drama to make like complicated. Well i'm not that pretencious but looking good really is in my forte. I like to look nice, it makes me feel better. Anything else that is happening in my life getting ready to go out feels normal I guess. I'm going to get these shoes did you want to grab a coffee or something and go shopping?"[/color] She asked politely.

Danny said” I tend to take stuff out of proportion Yeah I did kind of blow up at you didn't I. He should revert back to his calmer days and treat others nicer then he had done previously. He did not know what to do or what to say . He did remember that he did say something about what people may think of her if they heard her say she was a year old and he had to giggle at that. Danny had started to ramble on and on about what she had asked him about vampires. Danny replied with”I did not say no specifically now did I?IA few months after I was turned I ran into one . I had to put it down so that is how I one of your kind. Oh you did use to? He let a fine lady like yourself go. He must be out of his ever loving mind. You sure that he was sane or even straight? The other people that you have either come across or knows you must be crazy themselves. I think life is too complicated to have fake people that want to be around others so it can make them look popular.Sorry I made that pretencious comment. It is bad of me.Yeah a coffee sounds good and shopping is always good to do. Maybe we xcan find us some good clothes to go with these shoes we have.”

Caroline realised that now the original spat had been said and done that the guy didn't seem all that bad. If anything he seemed kinda nice which was a change. It was such a rarity to meet someone who was generally nice if not a little misguided about other species that weren't the same as him. She let it go though, they had both apologized and that alone was rare, for a guy to admit that he was wrong. Not caring that he apologized to someone who was supposed to be his mortal enemy. She figured eveyrthing wasn't always as black and white as that however. She and Tyler had been an example opf that, at least that was before they had broken up and she had ended up being a heap on the floor in nothing but tears. She still cried over him but kept her strong resolve face when she was out in public. It was one of the reasons she needed her shopping therapy.

She shrugged off what he said however. He seemed like an ok guy and was simply just trying to be nice which was a nice change. She looked him over again and noticed that he had been headed towards the guy section for shoes. Maybe he would want someone to go with him? She didn't want to push her luck but for once, she actually wanted to hang out with a total stranger and not think anything of it. "Who knew that mortal enemies could be friends huh? Apology acception is mutual and who knows what can happen next?"

[/color] She said with a teasing tone. She was smiling at him and looked around. He noticed her shoes and she smiled as she looked down at them. "Yeah I couldn't help myself. What about you? Are you looking for somethig in particular? I could help you if you want?"[/color] She asked politely.

Caroline nodded and listened to his words. So it hadn't been long after he triggered the curse that he had met his first vampire. That was interesting. She bet he didn't even know what a werewolf bite did to a vampire. it ws lethal and killed them eventually. Only Klaus had the cure which was highly ironic really. "yeah not all vampires are cool like me. Yes I'm sure he was straight, he just was tying to protect me I guess. As if I need it. Coffee and shopping it is. I gotta pay for these shoes first though"[/color] Care made her way to the front counter and bought the pair of boots. They were put into a box and then into a bad and she turned to Danny. "Where can we get good coffe here then"[/color] She asked curiously. She always did love her coffee, human or vampire.
