-------------------------- -------------------------- Rushing, rushing, rushing was all Dawn had been doing lately. She stuffed her books and notebooks into her backpack trying to hurry up and head out of the door. She needed to get to the library to study. She was in her third year of college and this was no joke, of course the other years had been no joke but they were a bit relaxed to what this year felt like. Before she never thought she would be going to college. She figured she would wind up dead before she could make it that far in life. Where she used to live that was a daily risk.
Dawn Elizabeth Summers use to live in a small town called Sunnydale, California. She loved it there and the school and her friends. There was only one problem; it was the Hellmouth. Demons, vampires, and other monsters ran through the town. Her older sister Buffy was the slayer for the longest time. Soon there was a lot of potentials around Sunnydale and Dawn had thought at one point that she was a potential as well. She wasn’t and that was okay with her. Soon all those potentials became actual slayers in a big fight against the First Evil. Basically her small town was destroyed. Dawn went to college after that and here she was now. Late.
She groaned as she through her backpack over shoulder, grabbed her keys, and headed out the door. She threw her backpack into the seat beside hers and turned the car on closing the door. She pulled out of the drive and headed to the library. Once there she found a place to park, grabbed her backpack, got out, locked the door, and headed into the library. She found a good spot and sat down. She took out her books and notebooks and dived into her subjects. She didn’t know how long she was there but hours later she had to leave to go to her job. She gathered everything up and left the library. She drove through town and parked her car. She locked it and went into work, which was the cinema in Richmond. After work she went to the cafeteria for a bite to eat as she was starving. -------------------------- WORD COUNT::377 TAG::OPEN OUTFIT::OMG! CLICK HERE! NOTESFIRST DAWN POST!

----------------------- ----------------------- When someone looked at Caroline Forbes all they saw was a blonde girl with blue eyes who obviously was a girly girl and did cheear leading. What they didn't realise was that she could be a bit of a book worm. She didn't mind just hanging out in a library and getting lost in the scent of old books and just loose herself in someone else's life, especially one that was nothing like her own. She was all about the romance novels. How the right guy just magically appeared, if only it were that easy in real life. No if anything guy drama was constant and there was either no guy at all or more than one vying for her affections. But this was the reason that she was driving to Richmond. To loose herself in a book. To say that the library in Mystic Falls was a little under stocked would be a complete under statement, no she needed some new and good reading material, even if it meant driving for half an hour.
Arriving at the library she parked her car and looked around. There were a few cars there and there was even a cafeteria just next to it. It looked tempting and she was desperate for a coffee fix. Sitting in her car she checked her reflection. Her haur was straight today for a change but she wasn't wearing as much make-up as she could be prone to do. Only the small amounts. Rustling around in her bag she grabbed out her favourite pink lip gloss, it was the exact colour of her lips. Putting on another coat she got out the car and locked it behind her. She walked into the library first just to see what was happening in there. If it was too crowded then she would just grab a coffe first and not worry about coming back until it was a little less. She didn't want to intrude on people and also because a library was supposed to be quiet.
Someone approached her who she was sure she had seen before when she was last in Richmond. She smiled and waved but didn't exactly want to come here and talk. She saw a few people doing homework and wondered if she should have brought her her own up here. She might have been able to get something done. She ignored it and instead focused upon the books. They had an entire romance section which was something Mystic Falls didn't have. She smiled at the sight of it and headed over there. Looking into it she saw a few people sitting in the seats reading the books. She let out a soft sigh and tucking a strand of hair behind her ear she walked off. She would just grab a coffee or something for now and just wait. She headed out into the cafeteria and looked around. There were hardly any spare tables left. She sighed and went up and ordered.
She loved coffee even though she was a vampire. Caroline couldn't taste it quite like she used to but it was still good and warmed her body tempreture an aweful lot. She grabbed her coffee after it was presented to her and saw there was only one table left and a girl was already sitting at it. As the other were in pairs or groups of 3 or 4 she figured she could ask if the seat was taken and if she minded some company. It seemed a library was a hot spot here in this small town. It was bigger than Mystic Falls at least. She let out a soft sigh adn walked over. The girl was a brunette and was pretty. " Hey, sorry to bother you, do you mind if I sit with you? All the other seats are taken?" She asked carefully. She didn't want to intrude although contrary to popular belief she had been brought up right and knew when she was over stepping her bounds. -------------------------- -------------------------- Dawn had more homework to do later when she got home. She was already tired but she knew she had to get it done and do a great job to keep up her excellent grade point average. She wanted to excel in her classes and do her very best. That was why she tried so hard. She also was ready to show Buffy that she wasn’t a little kid anymore. That she could handle anything and everything that would be thrown at her. She had thought about something for a long time and was ready to become a watcher. She knew that if she couldn’t do magic or be a slayer then she could help future slayers and current slayers. They needed watchers.
She had planned to go to Xander and ask him to teach her everything about being a watcher. She could handle learning all that and her school work. She was a smart girl and knew that she could handle it all. She learned that from her sister Buffy. Buffy was always so strong with her slayer duties and finishing school and taking care of her. It was always so remarkable of how she handled it all. Of course there were times that she broke down and cried and yelled but it wasn’t often. She figured Buffy did that when no one was around and stayed strong around everyone. It was just remarkable that she could hold everything in like that.
Dawn of course didn’t handle everything so well before. She started shoplifting after she lost her mother. It was a long time before Buffy found out what was going on. It was crazy then what she did to try and get attention. She felt like Buffy should have paid her more attention then and she was just being an annoying teenager really. Thinking about everything that had gone on earlier in her life she couldn’t believe all the stupid crap she had done.
She continued eating the food she had gotten when a blond haired girl either around her age or close to it came up to her. She asked if she could sit down because everywhere else was full. Dawn nodded to her and said yeah sure. It would be nice not to sit alone. She smiled at the girl and said I’m Dawn. She figured if they were going to sit together at the table then they should at least know each other’s names. That would be the smart thing to do and just in case she was something supernatural she could tell Buffy her name later. -------------------------- WORD COUNT:: 432 TAG::Caroline Forbes OUTFIT::OMG! ----------------------- ----------------------- Caroline had always come across as the silly superficial blonde girl who only thought about herself. She was nothing of the sort. Sure she liked to look good and have good clothes and tried all that she can to make herself look pretty. But it didn't mean that she didn't like to get lost in someone else's world. Books had always been the best way to do that. She had actually read most of the books in her own small town of Mystic Falls but most people didn't believe her when she said that. She wanted to get away and Richmond had seemed like the best place. Plus it seemed she was getting more and more addicted to coffee since she had become a vampire, she knew it was because it was the only substance that seemed to warm her cold body and made it seem warmer to the touch. Humans would just think she was slightly cold not dead. She wanted to laugh at her own thoughts.
She observed the girl she had approached. She had hair about the same length as her own maybe a bit longer but it was brunette. It seemed like it could fall the same was as well, slightly wavy if left to it's own accord. That or the girl did what Elena did most days which was straighten her hair all the time which would seem like more than a pain in the ass. Caroline however really adored the girls shoes, they had a bow on them made from diamonties on the front of her black ballet flats. Plus this girl did a seriously good job of accessorizing. The necklace and those earrings went so well with her clothes and the black jeans were beyond good looking. She was impressed with the girls attire which was a rare compliment from Caroline. However she had to admit that the shoes were what really sold her. They were beautiful and she had to know where they were from so she could go and get a pair herself. She would have to ask.
Caroline sat down opposite and set her coffee on the table in front of them, the girl was obviously just having lunch. "Thanks, is it always this busy? It seems kinda intense if you ask me." She asked carefully. Looking around the cafeteria she noted how people sat in small clusters and they all seemed to know each other, talking across tables. Caroline came from a smaller town than this and there were still people she didn't know in that small town. She shook her head and refocused her attention on the girl. She introduced herself and Care smiled towards her. "I'm Caroline. It's nice to meet you. Your actually the first person i've met in Richmond". She was confused as to why a girl like her would be on her own, why wasn't every guy in here scrambling to get her attention? Caroline knew that the girl was pretty and yet it seemed she stuck out in this small town. She let out a soft sigh and tucked a piece of hair behind her ear. Picking up her coffee she took a sip and instantly felt better. It was obvious that she was new around these parts. She still hadn't really been shopping out here yet but she figured she had all the time in the world now right? Being a vampire meant you got to live forever providing that you didn't get staked or beheaded. She glanced back over at Dawn. What a pretty name. "I have to say this. Your shoes are to die for. They are gorgeous! Where did you get them if you don't mind me asking?" She asked carefully. She loved to compliment people on their clothing, especially if she actually meant it as well. The girl seemed a little suspicious of Caroline and it wasn't something that was all too surprising. Care would be curious as well, but she would have to ensure she didn't show that she was a vampire. Dawn might not even know what a vampire was and thought it was all still something from bed time stories. -------------------------- -------------------------- More than likely Dawn had her nose in a book or in a sketch pad drawing, mostly though she was drawing when she was doing research for Buffy and the gang. Research was how Dawn contributed to helping because that is all Buffy would let her do. She would get to fight some if Buffy didn’t know she was fighting the demons and such. She hated that she had to maneuver her way around her sister just to help though. Sure Buffy said researching in a safe library was helping but she wanted to do more than that. She wanted to be able to fight and maybe if she was a watcher she would get to fight some as well with the slayers.
She looked at the girl that all of a sudden started talking to her. Dawn was okay with talking with others and being sociable but they had to talk to her first. She liked keeping to herself mostly because of everything that had been going on in her life, all the monsters and demons that surrounded her. That also made it hard to date someone normal and not use to the supernatural which was why Dawn didn’t date, ever. She could if she wanted to but she just felt like why should she bother. It would only end in tragedy anyway. That was how any of their lives ended in relationships.
Dawn noticed that the girl was blond headed and her hair was the same length as hers, so she was defiantly close to Dawn’s age. She did like the girls outfit though and couldn’t help but think that she did need to go shopping soon. She would have to talk with Andrew and see when he wanted to go. He had been a douche before but he turned into her best friend. They did everything together recently especially shopping. She could always count on him for his best honest opinion.
The girl sat down opposite her and sat down her coffee. She smiled and shrugged. I don’t know I hardly come here. I recently moved here from Rome to finish school and be with my sister. I just came here to grab something to eat after a long day at work she said with a smile. She ate some of her food and sighed. Everyone here has grown up with each other but I lived in California, Sunnydale to be exact so I don’t get their cliques here she said with a smile then added I just stay on my own and do my work. I have plenty of friends that are close to my sister’s age who moved here with us so I am okay. What about you?
She introduced herself and told Dawn that she was the first person she met in Richmond. Caroline. She liked that name, it was pretty. She smiled and ate more of her food. Caroline said she liked her shoes and was wondering where she got them. Me and my best friend Andrew went to Mid Rivers mall and I saw them there. They probably still have some because they keep a lot because a lot of people love them. It was a fight though trying to keep some lady from taking them from me. They were on sale when I bought them and they were the last pair they had that day. It was brutal she said then sipped some of her water. I like your clothes as well she said glad to have someone to talk to. -------------------------- WORD COUNT:: 590 TAG::Caroline Forbes OUTFIT::OMG! CLICK HERE! NOTES----

----------------------- ----------------------- Caroline couldn't keep her eyes from the small groups of people. Yes it was a small town so if it was anything like the small town she had grown up in, Mystic Falls, then they would all know each other. They had probably all grown up together and were never seperated. It made her think about the few people that were always together in her own little group. Elena, Bonnie, Tyler, Jeremy and Matt. They had always been good friends and looking around a place like this where the groups all kind of hung out together made her miss the old times when she had been just like the people around her. Easily able to talk to all her friends and where the worst trouble they had was what they were going to wear the next day, what their recent crush was saying to them and how they were going to sort out the next fundraiser for either the school or just the community.
Dawn answered her question about the place if it really were that packed. Caroline figured that not everyone hung out here all the time just to catch up. It was right next to the library so no doubt everyone came here to study as well or catch something to eat whilst studying. She should have seen that one coming. Caroline looked shocked at the girls words though. "You studied in Rome? Wow what was that like if you don't mind me asking? As you can tell i've never been anywhere so I get everything I can from other people's experiences" She added with a slight smile. She would have the chance later on to explore the world. She was a vampire now but she had to take care of everything in Mystic Falls before she moved on. She couldn't go and leave her friends and family behind, it wasn't right. Caroline listened as Dawn went on to say that she grew up in California. This girl had managed to go everywhere and Caroline had never been anywhere. Of course there were those like Klaus that wanted to show her the world but she just couldn't yet. She smiled at the girls words. "Wow how many places have you been?" She asked curiously. She was turned to face Dawn now and was highly interesting in the conversation. She took a sip of her coffee and looked over at the brunette. "Oh I don't live here. I live in a small town myself. Mystic Falls, it's the next town over just about half an hour drive. So you don't try to make friends your own age? I've never known what it was like to have siblings but I've got two best friends that are like my sister. We grew up together as well guess it's something to do with small towns huh? she added sheepily. Caroline listened as Dawn wwent on to explain about the shoes. She figured this was a good sign, should they be friends out of this then maybe she could have a new shopping partner. Just because they had slighlty differnet tastes didn't meant that they couldn't have the whole honesty thing where the other will say if the person looks good or bad in certain items. She smiled at Dawn. "Well they are adorable. I must try and find them. I haven't been to Mid Rivers yet so it should be good. At least you have a shopping buddy. My friends are always too busy these days to go shopping. Come to think of it a bit of retail therapy is definitely in order soon. Your more than welcome to join me if you ever feel like going shopping with someone else?" She spoke politely. She wouldn't mind making a new friend. She nodded her thanks at the compliment and took a mouthful of her coffee. -------------------------- -------------------------- Dawn didn’t do well with others. She could talk to them and get along but the way her life was she didn’t let anyone in because of that. Because of her life she preferred to be left alone not wanting anyone to get hurt because of her. It was different for Andrew because he was already a part of it. She didn’t think she should become friends with anyone in this town or close to this town for fear of getting them hurt. That wouldn’t be fair to them at all. That was another reason Dawn didn’t have many friends back in Rome, Italy or Sunnydale, California. This was part of the life she and her sister and their friends lived. Relationships of any kind out of the circle never ended well for anyone.
Caroline talked and asked about when she studied in Rome. It was nice; she loved learning the culture there and the language. The food was amazing as well. It hadn’t been home though but it had grown on her. That was why she had stayed when Buffy moved here. Then Buffy had her move out here because Glory was back and she wanted Dawn…again. That was the story of Dawn’s life though, always in danger and if it wasn’t one thing it was another. It was an endless nonstop with her life and all the demons coming after her and her friends and family. She smiled a little and said it was fun. I enjoyed every minute of it. Wish I was still there sometimes but my sister needed me here so I came.
Caroline asked her how many places had she been. She shrugged and said just Sunnydale, California where I grew up, then Rome, Italy where I was in college for about three years, and now here Richmond, Virginia. Dawn hadn’t been to a lot of places but she had to leave Sunnydale because it was destroyed; that was the only reason. She had liked Rome a lot but nothing beat the place she grew up in. Her mother had been buried there and now she couldn’t even visit her mother’s grave since the town was gone. Dawn sighed and ran a hand through her hair. She took a bite of her food to keep her emotions in check. She couldn’t fall to pieces thinking about her mother now, not in front of a complete stranger. Caroline went on talking about how she lived in the small town Mystic Falls. Dawn had heard rumors about such a town that had supernatural things going on there. She heard a lot hanging around Buffy and her friends. She nodded and said I heard about Mystic Falls. Went there couple days ago and visit the town. It looked nice. Must be nice having friends and knowing the people that live there for what seems like forever.
Caroline went on about her shoes saying how they were adorable and about shopping. Dawn would love to have someone else to go shopping with. Maybe a friendship between them could work if she kept Caroline around when she wasn’t in Richmond. Maybe Glory wouldn’t come after her. That sounds like a good idea. We should defiantly do that she said and then took a bite of her food again. Maybe one time I could bring Andrew along and you can meet him. I am sure you two would become friends. He is extremely friendly and loves meeting new people and shopping she said as she took a sip of her drink. She ran a hand through her hair again and then looked at Caroline. So may I ask what brought you to Richmond tonight she asked her fingers tapping lightly on the table. -------------------------- WORD COUNT:: 623 TAG::Caroline Forbes OUTFIT::OMG! ----------------------- ----------------------- Caroline had always found it easy to be around others. She was Miss Mystic Falls after all. There wasn't a lot that she couldn't do. She was easily comfortable around strangers but the groups in this small place made her miss what it had been like for her own little group back in the day. Matt and Elena together, Tyler hanging around, Bonnie and herself giggling over every little thing. Their group hadn't exactly been big but they had been popular and Caroline had loved being the center of attention. Things were different now though, everything had changed. Vampires were around and she was one. Their entire lives were upside down and it was killing her. It was another one of her reasons for being out here, to escape herself into a book and not have to worry about being distracted with the hardships of her current world.
Caroline would take in everything she could about other places from other people. She coudln't not! There was no way she was able to go somewhere such as Rome. No. But in the end everything was more complicated than simply running off to study in Rome. "I am so jealous! I wish I could go there someday. It sounds beautiful and so exotic. Seriously you are one lucky girl" She shook her head and her eyes almost went dreamy. Snapping herself out of it she looked over at the brunette. So she had siblings, that was something. Caroline had no one which was why she was so close to Elena and Bonnie. "You have a sister? Just the one? I wish I had siblings but it's just me" She added with a slight shrug. She really did wish she had some kind of siblings herself, it would have been so much fun. Although Dawn hadn't exactly been to a huge amount of places they were all so very different. Not to mention Europe would have been amazing providing she hadn't stayed only n Rome. Of course Caroline wished she could go to somewhee extravagant such as California as well. She smiled towards the girl. "Dawn you are soo lucky. What was California like? I hear the whether it awesome. Plus you know shopping. Although I can't say i've heard of Sunnydale." She didn't care though, anywhere other than Mystic Falls and Richmond were better than anything else. Dawn commented on her own home town. Caroline giggled slightly. "It can be nice but then again at the same time you always want to meet new people. I mean I love my friends I grew up with them but small towns can really drive you insane sometimes" She spoke with a slight shrug of her shoulders. Taking another drink of her coffee Caroline listened as Dawn seemed to be interested in a shopping date. Well they both obviously had a great sense of fashion really. She smiled and nodded. "Yeah here i'll write down my number and whenever you feel the need for a shop give me a shout" She smiled. Dawn went on to say that she should bring her friend Andrew along. The dude was obviously gay. She nodded none the less. "Yeah bring whoever. As long as he doesn't moan about being at the shops for a long time" She added with a slight smile. Dawn asked why Caroline was in Richmond and Caroline leant back a little, it was obvious she didn't really want to say too much. "Like I said small towns can drive you insane. The library here is awesome compared to where I am so I just wanted to escape into a good book for abit. But it is packed in there however so I figured a cup of coffee couldn't go amiss" she spoke giving the shortened version. -------------------------- -------------------------- Back in Sunnydale Dawn had always kept to herself. She had made one or two friends her own age but mostly she hanged out with Buffy and her friends because of the whole supernatural thing hanging around them since Buffy was a vampire slayer. Dawn had to grow up fast in the life her sister had so she was welcomed amongst Buffy and her friends. Kids her age and worrying about the things they did, Dawn was never like that. She had to constantly worry about staying alive and keeping the ones she cared about alive. She never wanted to lose anyone else like she lost her mother. She had almost lost her sister Buffy a couple times but she seemed to keep coming back.
Caroline said that she was such a lucky girl because she got to study in Rome for almost three years. Dawn didn’t consider herself so lucky. She went to Rome only after her hometown was destroyed when the hell mouth was destroyed. All of Dawn’s childhood memories were there even though she was never really a child, but her mother was also there well her mother’s grave was there. She made a place for her mother in the Salvatore Boarding house in her room as a place of remembrance. She needed to after what happened to Sunnydale. It is beautiful but I do miss home she said looking at the table. She smiled looking at Caroline and said who knows maybe one day you will be able to go to Rome.
Caroline asked her if she had only one sister and Dawn nodded. Yeah I do. Her name is Buffy. She practically raised me after our mother died a few years back. She is the only family I have left now she said as she finished her meal. She leaned back in her chair and took a sip of her drink. I don’t know what I would do if I lost her she said. She shook her head. Not lucky she said. If only Caroline knew the real story of her life. Not actual being born, being put into the care of Buffy Summers as her little sister, being a magical key, and memories being placed into everyone’s mind so Dawn seemed like Buffy’s little sister. It was all just too much for one person to handle.
California is okay. I mean the town I am from is a small town, like Mystic Falls. Hardly on the radar really she said. It was true that Sunnydale wasn’t on the radar for humans but for the supernatural it had been the hell mouth. It had been the freaking hot spot for monsters and things that go bump in the night. Yeah I know. Miss my own small town though. I thought I would never leave Sunnydale she said with a small smile.
She smiled as Caroline gave her number and told her to call when she wanted to have a shopping trip and that as long as Andrew wouldn’t complain about long shopping trips then he was welcome to come. Yeah of course and Andrew doesn’t complain about shopping. He is my shopping buddy and we can shop for hours and make an entire day out of it she said. She nodded at what Caroline said about the library in Richmond. Yeah the library here is good. The one at Sunnydale was pretty good in the high school. I love staying at the library getting a good book. Not many people think I like to read after a first glance at me because of the clothes I like to wear and such. They see a girl with pretty clothes and automatically think that she isn’t smart she said. Dawn had been taken for granted a lot in high school and even when it came to Rome.

----------------------- ----------------------- Caroline didn't quite know what to make of this girl yet. Dawn seemed nice enough and she could tell that the brunette was human from the beating of her heart. However it didn't mean this girl wasn't in the know how. She had a sister maybe something happened there. Caroline was always sure to be careful in a public place anyone and no one really spotted it out with her, however someone who really knew what to look for would be able to tell after a little while. The only plus side was that she could actually eat human food and digest it, not to mention she had much better control over her emotions than people seemed to believe she did. She was beginning to like the girl in front of her though but even now she knew they couldn't be good friends as it meant lying to her and not sharing a big part of her life, plus it tended to put her in danger incase a hunter came looking for her.
Care smiled at Dawn when she said it was pretty good in Rome. One could say that. It depends if you were really into the whole sight seeing side of things. Never really leaving the Virginia state kind made this difficult to sight see too much. Anywhere in Europe would be amazing but knew she coúldn't leave yet, there was too much to do. "I wish but I doubt it. At least not any time soon. Maybe after collage and everything. What about you? What's collage like here?" She asked curiousy but realised she may actually be pushing her bounds a little. Dawn started talking about her sister and she listened in fascination. Caroline nodded in understanding. "Yeah it's just me and my mom now as well. My dad passed away a few months ago. But you have your sister at least. Being on your own can suck sometimes" She added with a slight shrug. She was used to it and was so close to Elena and Bonnie they were practically all sisters. Dawn said she wasn't lucky and Caroline frowned in her direction and then took another mouthful of her coffee finishing it off in the last one. She pushed into the center of the table so show that it ws empty, she would clear it out when she headed back towards the library. "How are you not so lucky?" She asked curiously knowing she might not want to hear the answer in the long run. She nodded her understanding. "Yeah I mean Mystic Falls can be quiet but during tourist seasons it's a bit ridiculous. But good at the same time. New people always fascinate me" She added with a slight shrug. It was true they did. She spoke about her old town like it no longer existed or she had no choice other than to leave. "What happened? Why did you leave if you loved it so much if you don't mind me asking?" She asked carefully. Caroline smiled, she would have someone else to go shopping with. The girl seemed to have a pretty good sense of style and it was oh so obvious that the guy they would be going with definitely wouldn't be straight but she didn't mind. She wasn't one to be prejudice. "Cool! I can't wait. He sounds cool then and I have no doubt you can both be painfully honest on selections which is awesome" She added with a smile. She was excited at the prospect of meeting new people. She nodded and rolled her eyes at Dawn's words, it was so true. "Urgh I know right? I get it all the time as well. All they see if a blonde bimbo for me, but it isn't the case. I love getting lost in a book somewhere. The library has always been my safe haven but the selection isn't too great thats all" She shrugged slightly. -------------------------- -------------------------- So far Dawn liked Caroline. She seemed really nice and that meant they could become friends. Of course she couldn’t become close friends with the girl like she was with Andrew. Andrew knew of the supernatural world so she could be completely honest with him. Caroline was different and she didn’t want to drag her into this whole world of hers. Caroline didn’t need to be brought into this crazy messed up life that Dawn had. She had to keep her distance as much as possible from Caroline but go shopping with her some. It was for Caroline’s own safety really. Dawn had seen what dragging someone into this crazy life would do to someone. People get hurt all the time in this life and some even die. She didn’t want to see anything happen to Caroline.
She smiled back at Caroline and listened to what she had to say. She nodded a bit and sighed as Caroline asked how college life was. It is really good actually. I have made some new friends and college in Rome was good. Learning about the culture and everything was nice and I want to be an art teacher so learning about art in Rome was fascinating. I do miss high school a little only because it flew by. I didn’t do as much in high school as I would have liked you know she said. It was true that she didn’t because she was too busy trying to survive to the next day to even think about clubs or other activities. She frowned at what Caroline said about her dad. I am sorry to hear that losing a parent is tough. It literally broke me when I lost my mother. It wasn’t pretty I started to steal some things to get attention from my sister Buffy because she hardly paid attention to me before that. I just felt abandoned you know she said.
Caroline asked Dawn how she wasn’t lucky. Dawn could answer that question in two seconds flat if she didn’t have to watch what she said because of the whole supernatural thing. She couldn’t tell her though as she couldn’t drag her into this. Buffy tried her best to keep Dawn out of it as much as possible but Dawn couldn’t let her friends continue getting hurt and die in front of her. She had enough of losing loved ones so Dawn had decided to do something about it. She couldn’t tell Caroline all of this though so she just shook her head and said never mind. She sighed and ran a hand through her hair. She smiled at Caroline and nodded. I love small towns. Rome was the first place I had been beside Sunnydale and then I came here after my sister moved her because she wanted to be close. A close friend of ours had died and we just wanted to spend more time together because we didn’t do much of that before she said.
Dawn smiled at Caroline’s statement. Yeah I can’t wait either. Shopping together will be fun. Andrew will love it as well. He is very good at telling you what looks good and what doesn’t she said. Dawn nodded. Yeah I seriously hate that. It’s like good looking women can’t be smart or interested in reading. It’s insulting really she said smiling glad that Caroline understood where she was coming from. That had been Dawn’s life all the time. Well from what she actually lived of it. Dawn was a key formed into a human to be watched over by the vampire slayer Buffy. She had come a long way from being just that and she was planning on living a full life. She wasn’t some stupid key anymore. She was Dawn Summers and no stupid monks or demons were ever going to take that away from her.
She started packing up her things throwing her back over her shoulder. I have to go and get home. But I will call you after I talk to Andrew and we will set up some time to go shopping she said with a smile. Thanks again for the conversation Caroline she said and then she left getting in her car and driving home. -------------------------- WORD COUNT:: 708 TAG::Caroline Forbes OUTFIT::OMG!
