From the look he got from Buffy, he ceased all talk of Angelus. He knew that look, and it meant she wasn't in the mood to be argued with currently. That was fine. He'd simply wanted to get any hard feelings with Dean out of the way for her sake anyways. When his eyes burned into hers apologetically, she seemed less stern. It didn't take much to make that woman happy.
At the witch's praise for hitting the hunter Angel looked over to him. His face was blank but if anyone knew him at all they could see the hint of smile that he was trying to hold back. Truly he didn't have anything against the hunter that he could think of. However he never liked other males being close to Buffy as he seemed to be, so it had nearly cracked a smile on his normally stern features. For Buffy's sake he kept it hidden for the moment. "Threw him into a car, actually...If I remember correctly" he said simply, as if it was no big deal. Casting his glance downwards to the Sam fellow, he shook his head and looked back up to Willow. "The ropes are pretty tight. I don't think he'll be up to fighting." Gently nudging the boy with his foot, the hunter didn't budge an inch. He was definitely out cold and appeared that he would be for awhile.
At Dean's thanks, Angel simply nodded his head in response. It was enough to note that he'd acknowledged him and respected him, but it wasn't too much that it seemed odd coming from the vampire. Truth be told he'd only come because of Buffy, but that didn't mean he wasn't going to help. He'd simply been out of the loop. Looking back up to Buffy again, he shook his head. "He'll be fine." It was simple, and straight forward. While the cables were tight they weren't anywhere near being too tight. Angel knew that the man was human and knew he couldn't hurt him, and that they had to be careful. It wasn't his first time around the block with this sort of thing.
Perking his head up, he tilted it to the side and looked to Dean curiously. "Hallucinations?" With this he leaned down, crouching just above the ground and basically inspecting Sam. First he touched his neck and his wrist to check his pulse. Next he...leaned down and listened to his heartbeat. All sounded normal. "Some woman gave his soul back? Are we absolutely sure she did?" he asked, standing back up to tower over the rest of them, Dean included. Angel wasn't incredibly tall but he was definitely the tallest in the room other than Sam. Although Sam was currently about a foot high considering his position...So he looked down on the other people in the room. "Were you there when it happened? There should have been...a light" Angel questioned.
"But - he only just recently mentioned the hallucinations? Or has it been happening all along?" While his questions were direct and to the point, he doubted Dean would mind. Angel was just trying to get a grip on the situation as a whole. If they didn't know absolutely everything they couldn't be much help. At the moment Angel had a couple of ideas floating around in his head but he couldn't be sure yet. One of them was the fact that maybe he hadn't been given his soul back at all. Or perhaps his soul had been too broken at that point? Hell changed people...Or perhaps he hadn't come back right in the first place.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Willow and Angel had made sure that the ropes were tight, last thing she wanted was some crazed man to get free. At this point she had no idea what he was capable of or what he was going to do. Not having a soul is not something you want to mess with, she knows that from watching Angel with out one. It came make you a whole another person crazy enough to hurt the ones you love and not think a thing of it. Which is why Willow has to take this thing very carefully and watch how she take it. One thing is for sure this guy isn’t like Angel to her, he isn’t a close friend so if this gets out of hand enough to hurt her friends she will end him. Whether any of them like it or not, saving his soul wasn’t worth the rest of them hurt. Willow listened as Dean explained the situation saying that he did have a soul, which really had her confused. The Hallucinations weren’t really what was concerning Willow, Angel had that problem not long after being back from Hell along with seeing Jenny Calendar. But she wasn’t so sure to why he was talking this way, it was more like he didn’t have a soul at all. “So he does have a soul then? It don’t sound like it.” Asked the witch. This really wasn’t going to be easy Messing with the soul is a tricky thing, especially in a case like this. Putting it back was one thing but she had never fixed a broken one, nor did she know one could be broken. This was going to be a test for sure. Willow went ahead and took Dean’s suggestion, she begin to approach Sam slowly walking up to him. He was still passed out tied tight to the chair. Willow was going to go ahead and do a spell that her and Tara use to do, it was something they would used if they wanted to feel each others souls. It was more used to be close with and not for this, but in this case she needed someway to know if the soul was there. She placed her hand on his chest, saying the spell, and when she did a bit of light came out from the sides of her hand. Willow had felt it, but when she did the out come was not so good. She felt something else that was there to besides a soul, so strong that it had made Willow stop in her tracks. She slowly turned and looked at everyone, in a bit of shock from what she had felt. “Ok I don’t know when it happened, but something dark is in there with his soul. Something that must have not came out when the soul went in. Or maybe it came along with him. But something dark and corrupted has found its way into Sam’s soul, I cant feel it we have to do something and fast.” Said Willow in a worried tone. ---------------------------- ---------------------------- The first thing he noted as he came to was that his head hurt, badly. He wasn’t really sure what had happened but he knew that it hadn’t been fun. He felt a few aches and pains associated with his normal everyday life but the prominent feeling he felt was pain in his head. He tried to reach up to touch the spot right near his temple that was essentially pounding like a base drum when he realized suddenly that something was not right. He wanted to open his eyes and figure out why he couldn’t move but he knew better than to draw attention to himself.
He continued to mimic sleep, trying to allow his head enough time to clear so that he could focus on those around him and what they were saying. The first thing he heard was two women’s voices, both sounding vaguely familiar though in his stupefied state he couldn’t make out who they belonged to nor what they were saying. A man’s voice flooded his ears and this one he didn’t recognize, something that worried him a bit. He knew that given enough time he could break through his bonds but he couldn’t make any movements since one of the women’s voices seemed to be almost directly next to him.
Finally a familiar voice was heard by the younger Winchester brother, a voice that he knew well. It was his older brother Dean’s voice, something that seemed to calm him down while simultaneously firing him up as well. The two hadn’t been getting along much recently since he personally thought his brother was being a hypocrite but he still knew that when push came to shove he could count on him, something that he needed to know since he was currently being tied up.
Finally allowing his eyes to open he immediately locked his gaze on his brothers. “Dean.” He stated simply, no emotion in his voice. It was clear after he did a cursory look around that the women in the room were Buffy and the red-haired woman that he had met once before though her name escaped him. He didn’t recognize the dark haired man but something about him set his teeth on edge. It was the same feeling he had originally gotten around Ruby, something that told him that there was darkness in him. “Someone want to tell me what’s going on?” He asked with a sneer, trying to hide his discomfort.
- - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - -Dean didn’t like seeing him like this at all, having to have Sam tired to a chair. But it was for his own good really, he couldn’t have Sam hurting himself or anyone else for that matter. He just hoped that Buffy’s crew was going to be able to do something, other wise he is lost on how to help him. He looked at his brother has he sat there, looking so helpless and out of it. Dean stood there wishing there was something he could do, “Hang in there man I’m going to get you some help, just hang in there.” He said whispering to himself.
Dean could tell that even they were lost when he explained the situation, and if they were lost this could be good at all. “Yeah for some reason he is having a lot of them, he cant tell what’s a dream from real life.” Dean said to Angel. “Yeah I’m sure that Jess gave back his soul, I know she did. Plus Jess would make sure he got it back, she wouldn’t have left him if she didn’t Trust me .” He was lost none of it made any since to why this was even happing, why wasn’t he fixed ? Why was he acting like he had no soul. He just wanted answers and he wanted them now.
He could tell that Angel really wanted to help by all that he was asking, it really was nice to know they were all there for Dean. He was really starting to worry he didn’t have anyone, but he wouldn’t feel that way if Cass wasn’t busy in heaven all the time. “I just found out about it not to long ago, but I’m not sure to how long he has been having them. If I had to guess I think its been going on for a while, Sam has a tendency to keep things from me lately.” Dean said while exhaling.
He watched as the witch was checking him to see what was wrong, he just prayed that it wasn’t anything to bad. She placed her hand on his chest checking his soul to see what was wrong, by the way she was acting it could be good. “What is it Willow?” Dean asked. The witch explained it to them and by what she was telling him it didn’t sound good. What Dean didn’t understand was how did it even happen. How could his soul not be ok after what Jess did for him. “Can we fix him guys?” He asked looking at everyone in a curious like tone.
Not long after that Sam was starting to wake up and come around, he didn’t seem to happy to be tied to the chair. “Hey Sammy relax we are just trying to help you, find out what is wrong and why you are having hallucinations.” said while placing his hand on his shoulder. “But you have to keep clam and let us work with you, Willow is going to try and help.”
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -She hated that she usually couldn't stay annoyed with the dark haired vampire. Just one gaze of his soulful eyes and she was jelly, though she tried as best as she could to hide it. She rolled her eyes though it was clear that she had softened when he shot her an apologetic glance. She tried as best as she could to stay stern but she just was in no mood to deal with arguing with him, or really anyone for that matter. She had enough on her mind between Glory and her looming immortality to want to argue with someone she cared about on top of it.
She could almost see the smirk let out on his lips and she glared into the side of his head, though he was studiously ignoring her glare. "Angel!" She stated sharply when he informed the red head that he had technically thrown him into a car window. "Wow, nice to know that you're still great at making friends." She told him with another glare before turning her attention away from her as well as turning her back to him, knowing that Sam was out cold and tied up tightly let her loosen up just a tad.
She walked away from Angel and Sam, leaving Willow to stand near them as she made her way back towards Dean. Neither of them it seemed was great with the whole magic concept, instead focusing more on being a punching bag than actually doing any of the book work. That was how it had been from day one with her and she wasn't sure about Dean but it just seemed to her that he would much rather be jumping into the action rather than planning it out step by step. The two truly did have a lot in common.
She apparently shouldn't have gone far since before she had even sat down she heard a familiar voice behind her so she turned around and met his eyes though his were currently beating down at his brother. She waited to hear what he would say and when he did it immediately set her teeth on edge. "What we're doing is trying to figure out what is wrong with you." She told him, one hand on her hip. She knew that the two hadn't truly ever gotten along since they had met many months before hand. "Your brother's worried about you so shut your mouth or I'll knock you out again. Got it?" She asked, her anger showing for the way that she had heard that he had been treating his brother.
For some reason she felt protective of Dean, maybe it was because the two did have so much in common or maybe it was because she just got along with him so well. For whatever the reason was she didn’t want to see him hurt and she would do whatever she could to keep that from happening. “Better yet, I have a couple of questions for you. Want to answer or get knocked out? Your choice.” She stated, hoping he would choose the earlier since it would actually help to learn what had gone on and what had happened when this Jess woman had put his soul back in.
With a simple shrug of his shoulders, he ignored her comment about making friends. He was a nearly three hundred year old vampire. He didn't need friends nor did he want any. Sure he had a couple considering the Scoobs, but other than that he was pretty much a loner most of the time. Really the only people he truly spent time with were Katheryn and Buffy, and that was it for the most part. Who needed friends these days? It certainly wasn't a friendly world that they were living in and none of them could deny that. The world was a different place nowadays than it ever had been before...Now more than ever humans not only had to fear the darkness, but each other as well. It was actually quite sad. However Angel had faith in humanity, always had.
Suddenly the boy stirred and Angel watched as his eyes came to life. Dean had answered his questions but before he'd been able to respond, Sam had awoken. Or at least he was pretty sure that's what he was named anyways from hearing it be said by the others. Had they been introduced? He might have been introduced to the unconscious Sam and just didn't remember it, which was possible. His mind had been in quite a few places tonight so he may have drifted off and missed it. Nonetheless he then turned to Willow, sauntering over to her and lying one of his hands on her arm. "Are you alright?" he asked her, as she seemed quite shaken after the spell. Looking from her and then back down to the boy he parted his lips to speak but was again stopped before he could get a single word out.
There were too many people in this room.
Looking to Buffy he arched an eyebrow towards her. There seemed to be an awful a lot of violence coming out of her mouth for her being such a tiny person. Turning to back to Willow, he allowed his hand to drop back down to his side. "So...something entered him during the spell?" He asked her, wanting her opinion. Although he had some magical experience there wasn't a stronger witch on this earth than Willow. Turning to Sam next he stepped back and folded his arms over his chest. The man clearly didn't seem to like him already despite the fact that they'd never met. Frankly though it seemed like Sam didn't like much of anyone other than himself from what he'd heard, so it shouldn't have surprised him.
"Did the spell get interrupted at all...while she was re-ensouling you?" Angel asked, wanting to get the full picture. After chewing on his pieces of information for a moment he started pacing back and forth in the motel room. After a moment something came to him that he hadn't thought of before, and now he felt incredibly stupid for never having mentioned it. Stopping mid-pace, he spun around to the rest of the group, a light bulb having gone off in his intelligent mind. "Are we even sure that his entire soul was returned to him?" With this he looked down for a moment, gathering his thoughts and then looked back up. "There are tales...Native American Folklore mostly, that speak of souls being broken when returned. Only a portion of the soul actually gets returned...Maybe he was never right to begin with?" he asked, hoping that his random information somehow helped. Hopefully Willow had heard of the tales as well during her research and he hadn't just made a fool of himself. It made sense though. Or at least, it did to him.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Willow could tell that Dean was upset just by the way he was asking questions to her. He wanted more then anything to help his brother and Willow hoped that maybe she could give that to him fix whatever was wrong with him. She just didn’t know what to do in this situation just yet. She always puts Angels soul back, It wasn’t that often that she had to go in and fix the soul after it had been put back. All though now that she just though it with there luck it probably will happen. There isn’t anything that hasn’t happened to this group yet, sadly. It wasn’t long after Willow was standing there that Sam was staring to wake up, the witch took a small step back not knowing what he was going to try. Angel was there taking her arm letting her know he was there. “I’m fine thanks.” She said with a smile. But she was ready if Sam tired anything and if he was smart he wouldn’t, he did kind of have a witch, Slayer, a mad brother, along with a vampire standing in the room. It wouldn’t be to smart on his part if he did tired anything. She looked at the hunter trying to calm him down, hoping he was going to lose it. “Calm down Sam I’m just trying to help you, I don’t know if you remember me but I’m Willow and I’m a friend of Buffy.” Willow explained. “I’m just trying to understand what is wrong with, how you feeling right now?” She waited to see what he said, hoping he wasn’t going to get snappy on her. She wasn’t sacred though Buffy had her back, if he tired anything his face was as good as a pancake. She could tell that Angel was just as lost as Willow was, trying to figure all this out on what to do. “I’m not sure Angel but what I do know is his soul is in there, but I think something else it with it? But I really cant explain it. But you could be right about the Native American Folklore maybe his soul was some how broken? They are very delicate I mean why you think we use the orb with you, to help conceal the soul keeping it from any harm. In his case there was harm” Willow said while talking out her magic book. “Its good thing I brought this, maybe there is something in here I can look up about broken souls and how to fix them.” Willow had her book up in front of her and Angel to where they could both look at it, hoping they could find some way to fix this. ---------------------------- ---------------------------- He was annoyed, that was all he could say for the moment. He hated when people got the best of him but being surrounded by his brother (who was clearly in on the plan, whatever the hell it was), a girl who he knew could kick his ass, a witch and some guy who he still wasn’t clear on. He was a hunter, that was who and what he was meaning that he had an ego and didn’t like to lose. He knew that back in the day that he hadn’t had the ego that he did now and while he wondered about it he didn’t care, all he wanted was to be far away from the damn team in front of him, his brother included.
He sent a glare towards Dean as he spoke, finding it highly annoying that he seemed to be speaking to him as a child. "Not sure how many times I have to say this but Sammy was a twelve year old geek. It's Sam." He stated in a cold voice, knowing instinctively that he had uttered those words before, more than once, yet not caring enough to realize that he was being a complete ass. He was relieved to know that Dean was finally taking him seriously that there was something wrong however why now? And then it struck him.
“This isn’t about my hallucinations. You don’t want to accept that I’ve changed. This is about what I said earlier isn’t it?” He asked in a hard voice, knowing exactly what his brother was doing and why. “You don’t want to realize that your little brother doesn’t need his big brother watching over him any longer.” He shot with a glare before hearing the blonde girl’s voice and turning towards her, seeing her almost evil glare.
He tilted one eyebrow up before chuckling, though this laugh was darker than his normal warm laughter. "Yes, because I'm scared of a little girl." He told her, though internally he knew he was asking for a beating. Unfortunately his mouth didn't want to cooperate with his internal demands to shut up. Hearing that she had a couple questions for him he smirked, knowing that they needed him to answer anything before they could actually do much. "Let's hear the questions and then I'll decide whether or not I want to answer." He told her.
Seeing the dark man standing in front of him it was clear that he was something, Sam just couldn't figure out what. "I wasn't given the choice to be re-souled so I wouldn't know what all she had to do but from what I can remember nothing happened other than a burning pain, some strange light and then I had my soul again. Stupid thing." He stated with a sneer.

- - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - -Dean could tell by the way Sam was glaring at him he was annoyed and pissed, he knew his brother all to well. But it was to bad he was going to get him help whether he wanted it or not. He was going to help his brother and keep him safe no matter what, just like he always has in the past. Even going as far has giving his soul up for him. But he loves his brother and didn’t care about giving it up if that meant keeping him alive, he would do it all over in a heartbeat if he had to. Which was going to be his next questions for Willow, wondering if Dean could do anything with his soul to save Sam. He may not like it in the end and be mad, but at lest he would be ok and to Dean that’s all that matters.
“Oh come on Sam you know I always call you Sammy, you like it and you know it. Plus you are a geek so it works. You are just pissed off right now and looking for anything to get at me, but guess what isn’t going to work or do a damn thing.” Dean said smiling at his brother knowing he was pissing him off. Sam acted like nothing was wrong with him like he didn’t need help, but he was so far from needing help it was much worse. Saying the things he did about Jess, getting with a vampire, making friends with bad ones who feed on civilians. What the hell was he even smoking or thinking for that matter? “Man this is so much more then the hallucinations, this is how you have been acting lately, the choices you have made. Man you are my brother I have been riding with you for a long time and I know this isn’t you.” Dean explained while pointing his finger at his brother. “ These guys here are only trying to help, so you don’t need to lash out at them. So let us help you Sam!”
Dean didn’t listen to the things Sam was saying to him, he knew that it wasn’t him talking so he wasn’t going to let it bother him. They always were going to need each other they were family, they stuck by each others sides no matter what. Its always been that way and nothing would change that. He like the attitude that Buffy was giving him, in away he was hoping he piss her off again. Just for the sheer fact that Dean wants to see her punch his lights out again. “Sammy don’t talk to Buffy like that she is just trying to help, you keep it up and I will let her beat you to a bloody pulp. Trust me she can do it I have seen her in action, the girl kicks some serious ass.” Dean said while giving Buffy a smile. He loved how kick ass she was, hell she was the only girl that could kick his ass. Which he finds so hot, but he would never say a thing seeing that Angel would kill him.
He didn’t like the fact that Sam was talking like he didn’t want his soul, he shouldn’t be acting like that at all which was another way Dean knew something was wrong with him. “What you mean you weren’t given the choice! Sammy why the hell would you not want your soul!” Dean couldn’t help but lose it, this really was starting to get to him. Why couldn’t he just have his brother back!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -She saw out of the corner of her eye when Angel walked up to Willow to seemingly make sure that she was alright. She was glad that the older vampire seemed to care about the young red head as she knew that Willow had always cared about him. She also wouldn't say it out loud but it made her feel better to know that it wasn't as if Willow was going to suddenly develop this huge thing for Angel like most others would. Okay she was a tad jealous and possessive...but really, look at the man, who wouldn’t be? Exactly.
She listened as Willow and Angel conversed, and she could tell for some reason that Angel seemed annoyed with her about her slew of threats. Oh well she was in a mood, what could she do? She wasn't the witch type nor the book smarts type, never had been, so the things that they were talking about were things that she had never truly thought about. Granted she did know more about souls than most since the summer after Angel left she had done more research than anyone ever knew to try and figure out how to cure him because she wanted him home.
Clearly after she started college she stopped looking simply because it was obvious at that point that he wasn't interested in coming home. With that being said however anytime she had looked at a book at the Magic Box that had anything to do with souls she had read it thoroughly and even gone to talk to a couple different people without anyone else knowing simply to try and find a cure. Even if it wasn’t a cure for Angel to utilize with her, that didn’t mean that she didn’t want him to be happy. Would she have been insanely jealous? Yes, but she would have given it to him simply because she loved him.
Hearing Sam's sneers annoyed her for some reason and she wanted nothing more than to backhand him, yet she stayed seated and didn't say a word. It was clear that this had been something that Sam and Dean had argued about numerous times and while she didn't agree with what Sam was talking about she didn't know either of them well enough to get in the middle of a sibling argument. She knew how she and Dawn were when they fought and if anyone got in the middle of it they would end up collateral damage.
Granted that all went out the window when he called her a little girl. Standing up immediately she stomped over and glared down at the man who was wearing an egotistical look. "Trust me when I say that this little girl could kick your ass while filing my nails so I suggest you watch your tone with me. You're going to feel like shit for talking to any of us like that when we get you fixed so I suggest you shut your mouth or else I will gag you. Ask Willow, I've done it before." She stated, clearly remembering the times that she had gagged Andrew back in Sunnydale.
Before she could ask any questions Angel beat her to it by quizzing him on the en-souling project. She bit back her frustration since her interrogation was being ruined however she did realize realistically that Angel was much more intimidating than she was, especially to a big guy. Days like this she hated being short and tiny.
Hearing Dean try and stick up for her she placed her hand on his shoulder though before she could say anything he exploded and started yelling Sam not wanting his soul. Grabbing onto Dean's arm she shoved him so that he was sitting down. "Hush, don't let him get to you. He's being an ass but once he gets better he'll feel bad and then you can make him grovel." She told him, shooting him a wink. Turning back around she quirked an eyebrow at Sam. "Alright, so let's hear the whole sordid details about your soul and how you got it back, and all that good stuff. Every single detail. Either I'll remove the damn thing myself or we'll fix it depending on what we can do." She didn't have any idea how badly the whole 'removing the soul herself' thing sounded to ears that understood it but she hadn't even thought it. She also had no idea how much the thought of getting rid of his soul would piss Dean off and make Sam very happy.
There were times that she really should just keep her mouth shut.
Before another word could be spoken her phone rang. Picking it up she answered with a 'Hang on', not even bothering to look at who the caller was. "Dean, don't let your brother get to you. Sam, answer Willow and Angel's questions or else I'll personally let you watch this little girl as she kicks your ass. Now excuse me for a minute, I need to take this call." She stated before walking outside and putting her ear back to her phone. "Sorry, Hi. Who is this?"

Again, he couldn't help but think that there were far too many people in this tiny room. Luckily enough he didn't need to breathe because if he had, he had a feeling that he wouldn't be able to. Everyone was talking at once and it was driving him up the wall. Buffy's phone was ringing, and 'Sam' was being a complete dick. Turning back to Willow he started to flip through the pages of her book with her, desperately trying to find an answer that he wasn't sure existed. As he thought back to an earlier statement of hers he couldn't help but have a light bulb go off. "Willow, you're a genius." With this he ignored her curious look for the moment and started flipping through the pages more furiously, going right to where he needed to be.
It didn't take long before he found the page. It was the origins of the Orb of Thesulah. Showing the page to Willow, he pointed right to the section he was referring to. "If the orb isn't used, the soul is fractured, and is vulnerable to being latched onto by something else." It was a revelation he hadn't even thought of until Willow had made the comment about the orb, but it all made sense now. Whomever had given Sam his soul back probably hadn't used the orb to contain it. Because of that it'd been fractured and something else had tagged along with it. By george, they found it.
Looking back to the broken souled boy, Angel shook his head. "I wouldn't make threats you can't live up to." Both of the women in this room could kick his ass in a heartbeat. Even though they didn't prefer to hit humans they both would if they had to, and he needed to shut his damned mouth. After watching both of the brothers argue for a little while Angel simply crossed his arms over his chest. Once they finally shut both of their mouths he edged in closer. Leaning past Sam to cover his sneers, he leaned in towards Dean. "Are you ladies done here? We have work to do." With this, he ignored any further comments from the tied up hunter and turned back to Willow and Buffy. "We're going to need an orb to fix this. Willow, you start getting everything else ready. I'll grab supplies from the boarding house for the spell and come back." Now turning to Buffy, he closed in on her and planted a swift kiss on her lips.
It may have been out of character, but he felt the need to make it clear to Dean that they were together. He was a man after all. "I'll be back. Keep an eye on sparky" and with this, he was out of there. He took the car keys and headed for the boarding house. On the way out he heard Buffy mumble something about wanting a snack and made a mental note to grab her one at home. God, he loved that girl.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Willow continued to look through the magic book with Angel, hoping to find something in this book to help him before it became world war three in here. Plus the witch was getting pretty sick of the mans attitude, they needed to do something before she shut him up herself and no one in this room was going to like that. Maybe not even Willow. It seemed that she did have a good idea, Angel seemed in lighten by the idea. “Thanks!” She said to the vampire. “It just seems like the most logical expiation with the soul you know, maybe putting the soul in the orb to keep it safe. That was I can rip out whatever the heck is in there anyway, which I don’t think we are going to like or him for that matter. I don’t think its going to feel so good for him, you might have to hold him down” Angel found the pages showing it to Willow, it was amazing how much he knew about it. Well he should after all he had lost his soul a few times, and you would tend to learn a few thing about what happened to you. “Yeah the soul must have been fractured before he received it.” Said Willow before closing the book. “Well that’s because they aren’t soul experts like you and me.” She said giving Angel a smile. She had it all worked out, all that they needed now was an orb and hopeful they could find one. Dean brother was still making threats, he was going to feel pretty stupid later when he realized they were just trying to help. But that was ok it would make for something fun to pick on him with later. Willow couldn’t help but laugh when he actually thought that he could beat up Buffy, he could try but he wasn’t going to get very far with her being the chosen Slayer in all. As for Angel he just took on a pretty big dragon, so Willow would say that Sam’s odds here were pretty out numbered. “Angel is right are we going to keep fighting or are we going to get to work.” She said backing him up. She was ready to get this show on the road just as much as he was. “Ok Angel I will get the spell ready and when you get back we can start this thing. I want to shut this guy up and fast.” Willow let everyone else chat this out while she begin setting up for the spell, she opened up the bag that she had brought taking out the cloth for the alter, laying it down along with her magic book on it. She also lit candles and placed them to where she had needed them, which was not to far from where Sam sat. Now all they had to do was wait till Angel got back, hoping that no ones killed themselves till then. Arriving in Richmond hadn't seemed to take as long as Sarah had thought. Partially because she'd slept through nearly the entire flight but also because they hadn't had any layovers. All she'd eaten on the flight was a tiny bag of peanuts, and she was absolutely starving. However she had things to do before she could eat and she knew that. Unfortunately her stomach didn't agree with her, and she grabbed a quick cheeseburger in the Airport's McDonald's on her way out. She didn't usually like to eat unhealthily but it was quick and all she could afford time wise at the moment. Cheeseburger in hand, she hopped into the first cab she could flag down and told him the address. They all knew the address back in Rome and from how much paperwork she'd sent them, books and what not, she knew it by heart.
After paying the cab driver (compliments of the Watcher's academy) she strolled up to the house, dragging her luggage behind her. After a couple of knocks at the door one of the younger girls living at the home let her inside. They'd met along time ago, though Sarah couldn't remember her name for the life of her. Setting her luggage in the living room she pulled out her cell phone and quickly punched in Buffy's phone, as the girl had told her that no one else was home. The first call wasn't answered and instead of leaving a voicemail she simply called right back. On the third ring the slayer finally answered. "Buffy?" she asked, to which the woman seemed completely exasperated. "Listen it's Sarah, Satsu vanished a couple of days ago. No one knows where she is...I'm here, in Richmond" she told her quickly. However Buffy didn't seem to be listening at all. As a matter of fact, she was talking to someone else. Rude much?
"Dean, don't let your brother get to you. Sam, answer Willow and Angel's questions or else I'll personally let you watch this little girl as she kicks your ass. Now excuse me for a minute, I need to take this call."
Her jaw dropped and all she could do for a moment was blink. Her heart started to race. Had she really said Sam and Dean? No...that couldn't be. After a moment she found the strength to speak again, though she was still in a state of shock. "Sam and Dean...Winchester?" she asked, her voice meek and quiet. When Buffy confirmed, that was all Sarah needed to hear. Buffy rambled out the hotel address and room number and she quickly wrote it on a pad in the foyer. With this, she borrowed the only car left at the house (without asking) and hopped in, punching the address into the GPS. The entire ride over to the motel she felt like she couldn't breathe. She was gripping the steering wheel so hard that she felt she might break it, but she couldn't help it. Parking the car (crookedly) she hurried down the corridors, anxiously trying to find the room number Buffy had told her about. Something was wrong...with Sam and Dean? She was confused, but more so she was scared. She hadn't ever expected to see either of them again.
Taking in a deep breath, she knocked on the door. Her face was pale...and she didn't exhale. She couldn't.
---------------------------- ---------------------------- His heart was screaming at him to stop talking before he really pissed someone off yet his mind and his mouth continued to say things that were not at all true. For some reason it was like someone else was controlling him but he knew that it wasn't the case. He could feel his soul but it was empty? Broken? He wasn't sure what it was but he knew that whatever it was, it was wrong. He didn’t know how to handle all of this but he did know that something had to give. He tried to fight his way to the surface, almost feeling like he did when Lucifer had control of him.
He was there but he had no control over his words or his actions…and he hated it. It was almost as if there were two of him. The one who he knew was the real one and the one that was controlling the way that he behaved.
"You know what Dean, if I really wanted to get at you so to speak there are a lot worse things I could say to you. The reason I'm actually opening my mouth about the childish nickname is because I finally have grown a pair of balls to stand up to you big brother." He sneered out. He had always been one to listen to his brother, at least for the most part, and he was sick of it. He was sick of constantly living in his shadow. It had been like that when their father was alive and Dean had continued to think that way even after he died.
He wasn't surprised that Dean stood up for the blonde chick with super powers. Dean had always been one that liked the ladies, even ones that were clearly taken. "Dude, Dean, you can't get into her pants so you might as well stop pretending you care." He then shot the large vampire a smirk. “Then again maybe she’d let him. I don’t know.”
The question didn't take much for him to answer as he shrugged. "It's more fun not to have it. That way I don't have to feel all the pain and guilt that I carried around before. Also I was able to be a damn better hunter than I was when I was worried about people's feelings." He stated, sneering the word feelings as if it were dirty. He heard Buffy's threats but for the most part he ignored them, not really feeling all that threatened by her though internally he knew he could. The good part of him knew that his hold on reality was slowly, or quickly depending on who you asked, cracking and it wouldn't take much for him to lose it completely. His heart prayed that Dean and the others would find a way to help him but he knew that if he didn't somehow stop talking he was going to screw himself over.
"The whole thing huh? Okay, pay attention because there may be some big words here. I went to hell with Lucifer and Michael. Was stuck in the cage until my ex girlfriend agreed to become an angel if I was brought back. She didn't specify, another blonde thing I guess, and when I was brought back it was without my soul. Then when everyone realized it she decides to give up her grace or some shit and stuff it back in even though she knew it would torture me!" He stated, his voice growing louder at the end.
He rolled his eyes when the couple kissed goodbye and snorted when the slayer asked for a candy bar. Geez, what a bossy woman. He paid no attention when the dark haired vampire walked outside nor when he blonde slayer answered her phone and walked outside. Neither concerned him, however he did find it amusing that they left him alone with his brother and the red head, yet neither of them realized that he could easily get free. Without the two warriors it wouldn’t take him much to be out the door if he ever got his hands free, which he was working on slowly as not to draw any more attention.
It was only moments before Buffy walked back in and it seemed as if she was looking at him in a strange way, not that this was different from the other times. Before he could ask her what the hell her problem was there was a knock on the door. "Well I'd offer to answer that but..." He stated with a sarcastic sneer.
- - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - -This was not Sam and Dean knew that, because even though he knew that he was old enough that he didn’t need to call him those names he still did. Sam still knew that to him he would always be his little brother, which was why he never told him to stop saying it. “Well with the way you are acting right now Sam it don’t seem like you have grown up, your acting like a childish ass is what you are doing.” He said raising his voice again. “You might just want to stop talking before you say something that you really are going to regret.”
He was getting sick of the attitude that Sam had towards Buffy, all she was trying to do was help she didn’t need this shit. Dean was sure she all ready had hundredth things that she needed to do, instead she was here helping him she really was a great friend to Dean. But it seemed like Sam didn’t think so he had other assumptions about it. “Just so you know I’m not trying to get into Buffy’s pants and yes I do care. She has had my back more time recently then you have, when you were off being an ass hat she was here helping keep my ass alive!” He said screaming at Sam. “So I owe a lot to her I trust Buffy with my life, more then I trust you.” Dean hated saying that last remark to his brother, it hurt him having to say it. But lately it was sad to say it was in fact the truth.
Dean didn’t know what made him think he was at all a better hunter, because being a good hunter was about pain and guilt. Fighting getting hurt to keep someone alive, and the guilt was showing that you care that much if someone was hurt. “Sam I guess you have forgot all about what dad taught us, man you really don’t know yourself anymore.” That all Dean said leaving it at that standing there looking down to the floor, a part of him even wanted to cry but he wasn't going to.He didn't want everyone to see him that way.
Sam was talking still ranting about everything, but Dean wasn’t even listing anymore he was done it was all shit talk to him. Still talking bad about Jess acting like he knows everything. “You know what you don’t know shit about anything so just shut up Sammy!” Shortly after there was a knock at the door. “Man that vampire works fast I will get it”
Dean made his way to the door and pulled it back, he could believe his eyes with who he saw. “Sarah what are you doing here? I mean sorry it great to see you, but I will tell you its not the best of times. Sam isn’t really Sam right now, but you are welcome to come in” He said giving her a smile. Dean had always loved Sarah Blake and though Sam and her would make a great couple. Hell he wanted him to marry her, it had been so long since they had all seen one another. Last Sam had saw her was when they worked the case she had for them, Dean knew that Sam had missed her since then. So maybe she was the key to knocking some sense into him.
