------------------------ [/b] ------------------------[/b] Richmond was the place Kol decided to be his place to hang out away from his siblings. He walked out of the hotel room he took over compelling a woman to invite him in. Pretending to be normal was out rated but, Kol had to do it so no one would suspect what he was. He got the speech from Elijah and grew bored of his words but, listened. Kol never spoke bad of Elijah for good reasons.
Kol had a set plan today and that was to meet with dear Katerina after all it had been awhile since the two met. Their last meeting was a bit interrupted from a demon that pissed Kol off to a certain point. The Original took out his phone and dialed Katerina's number and waited for it to reach her or the stupid voicemail. He was going to be at the town square right in the center yes, he liked to show himself off just because he could.
Grabbing his coat he left the hotel room and with his speed was off in a flash no one seeing him take off with such speed. If their were witnesses Kol would either kill them or torture them and then after compel them just for the fun of it. Arriving at the square Kol realized how much similar this place was to Mystic Falls just a little bit different. He grabbed a newspaper in one of the dispenser things and sat down on the bench to wait for the vampiress.
He actually liked this doppelganger she was so much more fun then her human counterpart. If he were to actually risk dying for something or someone he would gladly do it for Katerina after all they both had one major thing in common and that was bring Niklaus down but in their own terms he was still Kol's brother wasn't he? Kol became patient and wondered if Katerina was busy off with her hunter pets.

To say that she had been experiencing a week was an understatement. With all of the relationship drama that had suddenly sashayed into her life, Katherine was for once finding herself ignoring Sam's calls. Let his 'Ruby', whoever the beat home-wrecking whore was, deal with him. She was too hurt, too frustrated after the run in with the angel 'Cas' to even speak with the hunter. Her phone had almost become anathema, most of the calls and texts ignored while she drowned her sorrows in bagged blood cut with expensive sangria. To say that she was in the middle of an impressive bender would mean she had intentions to stop sometime in the next week or so. And while the bagged stuff tasted like medicine and plastic, it was better than hunting and running into him.
It had taken the better part of a bottle before she decided to start flipping through her messages. The one from Sophia had the hair on the back of her neck rise, unsure as to what the English Gentrywoman would be calling over. Making a mental note to drop one of her favorite vampiresses a line later, it was another text that caught her eye. Katherine had to read it twice, before the words registered; the final time enough shock had her normally flawless reflexes drop her phone. With a curse in Bulgarian, she picked it back up, grateful nothing cracked or shattered on impact.
Staring down at her phone, Katherine could not believe what she was seeing. Five hundred years of running, was over…? It seemed to good to be true and yet if there was anyone capable of ending her terror, it was Kol. Grabbing her coat, Katherine Pierce blurred out of her hotel at as normal of a human pace as she could manage. Jogging to the Town Square in her Alexander McQueens, she nearly fainted when she saw him. There, on a bench was her newfound and unexpected Guardian Angel. With a grateful little sob, Katherine smiled softly before rushing to his side.
"Kol." At once, her eyes misted slightly, and the dopplegänger went to throw her arms around his neck. Hugging him tightly, Katherine felt the tears and exhaustion drain off of her as she said the one thing she'd been waiting to for half a millennia. "It's finally over…? Kol, You saved me… I don't… have to run anymore." Her accent was thick, the laughter in her voice crashing against all of the other emotions to make her feel as though she was flying.

------------------------ [/b] ------------------------[/b] One thing the Original disliked the most was pretending to be human he was one a long long time ago and now he was a monster of death the first of his kind he would rather create a charade of casualties but, unfortunately they had to keep themselves secret for the good of survival or whatever. Kol did not fear anything he could not be killed but, by one thing that has been destroyed for centuries. Reading through the paper Kol could see the killer for the death of a teenage girl was still at large too bad Kol was the one who did it and could outrun any lawmen who came after him. These were rather boring articles to read.
This whole ordeal of waiting not a fan of Kol's but, it was Katerina and he would wait for the woman. Kol had gotten in invitation to some Christmas ball earlier and as he knew Katerina was seeing some hunter he would be a gentleman and ask anyway. Kol would rather take what he wanted but, as he promised the vampire he would behave. Kol was sure that Katerina knew how Kol felt towards her doppelganger or so he hoped. The human girl was whiny and a tad annoying and so he could see what Rebekah was babbling about but, he wouldn't bring her up unless needed.
Kol had remembered leaving Ms. Petrova a message about her new found freedom he could only imagine what her expression would be like but, knowing Niklaus Kol had to watch his brother being the betrayer of the family he would make sure their deal would stay as a deal. The deal he made with Klaus was if he were to keep away from Katerina then Kol would not come to harm Elena and vise versa for his brother. If Kol found his newly found doppelganger friend harmed by Klaus then Elena would dearly pay the price. Kol wouldn't go near Elena in the first place unless he felt he absolutely needing to for information that or he would pay a visit to the Salvatore's.
It wasn't long til he heard his name being spoken and the Original stood up seeing the fresh face. But, before he could speak he felt arms around him and Kol took a second to adjust to this new emotion and went to hug her back with a little smile that was rather evil like but, that's who he was anyway. "Ah now love, call it a compromise of a deal to my brother if he ever came to harm your pretty self again in any way then whatever harm came upon you should also be placed upon your doppelganger. But, knowing Nik his deal was sealed with a shake..." He said looking at her with a normal look upon his face. "He needs this Elena to make his mutts so your freedom was set. Also a favor love..." He said then remembered the invitation he had in his pocket.
"I have met your hunters and along meeting them I came across their demon friend Ruby, she spoke flawed things of you dear Kater...Katherine. I assure you she will not do so no longer." Kol said knowing he may not have made any sense but, he was remembering with a cruel mind. "Also love I received an invitation to some Christmas ball and if your hunter isn't going I'll be grateful to accompany you love." He said in the nicest way he could. The two would look great together but, if she was already going with that pathetic hunter then he would find that demon and maybe have her meet with Katerina to think twice of her words.

Katherine gently squeezed the Original, laughter bubbling in her throat before she pulled back slightly. Her wrists were still locked behind his neck, and with a toss of her head her hair cascaded over her shoulder to spill down her back. Releasing one hand, she wiped at her eyes to whisk the tears away from her eyes before replacing her hand back behind his neck. It was an affectionate embrace, one that she feel into naturally with the vampire. It was strange how easily she was comfortable with him; he called to the darker side of her, the part of her that embraced the bloodshed and violence.
She nodded once, smile wide and bright as her adrenaline flooded her veins in a wash of stolen blood. It seemed impossible that after all this time everything was finally over. "I haven't looked at my phone in weeks. I haven't wanted to." It was a small confession, but the most she felt she could do at this time to this particular confidante. If she told Kol that Sam had made her cry, the hunter would most likely end up dead. Worst of all, if anything happened to Sam Katherine wouldn't forgive herself; even if she was furious at him at the moment. The mention of everything sealed with a shake had her heart soaring, to the point were the elder Petrova barely registered the comment about Elena.
When Kol mentioned one other thing, Katherine gently let him go; her hands fluttering own his shoulders and arms so she could wrap both hands around one of his. With a gentle squeeze, Katherine waited for whatever her friend wanted to ask. When he mentioned the Winchesters, Katherine tried as hard as she could to keep her face neutral, despite how wounded she was feeling inside. But it was the mention of Ruby that had Katherine snarling. "Oh. Her." The amount of disgust and contempt was palpable, the demonic skank the current bane of the vampire's existence. When he paused over her name, Katherine squeezed his hand gently again. "Kol, out of anyone, I don't mind if you call me Katerina." It was something she genuinely felt when it came to this particular Mikaelson. She was trying to take back her old name, might as well let someone she cared for use it. Make it good again.
At his reassurance, Katherine visibly relaxed. It was obvious that the Petrova loathed the fetid tramp without ever laying eyes on her. If Kol was willing to keep her away than she wouldn't dare argue. Apparently the demon slut had decided to make a play for what was rightfully hers, and if there was one thing Katherine couldn't stand it was girls like that. After blinking for a moment, Katherine had to admit she was shocked that Kol was asking her to the Ball. While she remembered idly getting a voicemail from Sam, she was too angry to actually listen to it to know what it was about. A part of her wanted the man she was dating (despite their rough patch) to ask her to the Ball. But with things so ruined from Ruby, that dream was so many shattered dreams.
Taking a moment, Katherine nodded and gave a half-smile. "I'd really like that Kol. Going with such a good friend will keep my mind off the bad and focus on having a great time." Tucking a stray love of hair behind her ear, Katherine offered him a playful smirk. "Which means I need to go shopping for the perfect dress."

------------------------ [/b] ------------------------[/b] Kol felt like a good sport helping Katerina out he never did things like that he was more of the kill on site type. The squeeze Katerina placed among Kol's frame was hardly felt but, he simply allowed it as he copied her move and hugged her but, did not place all his strength among her for she was half his age. What human left in Katerina Kol hardly ever noticed but, what Niklaus did to her was harsh yes Kol may have fed from families over the years but, never for revenge of self pity because he couldn't create some stupid dogs. Heck, he hated little Elena Gilbert but, he would not torture her family for sport unless they tempted his every mood.
However, Kol realized their was something aching Katerina and the Original tilted his cranium but, urging not to make the doppelganger upset and have Kol switch emotions he laid off but, every gut was telling him to push it out to the surface. "Human contraptions are quite odd these days.." He said towards the cellular device that Rebekah had to show him how to use. Kol could never forget her wavy hair the one thing that made the Petrova different then her human counterpart. Kol would stay clear of the Elena or so would not harm the girl who pointed chaos towards Kol's family. She stabbed his sister in the back and he knew how much Rebekah just wanted to rip her throat out. Kol stood inches from her and he did his charming smile and after all he looked very similar to Elijah just with a much more of an evil personality then Klaus.
"Katerina being tamed by a hunter? Please love, if he harms you I recommend telling me as I told him you are under my care and as his brother was so urgently to kill me, he offered himself to me.." He said then looking forward away from Katerina at the moment before looking back at her. Having Kol bring up his emotions was very very rare but, Katerina seemed to pull them out like a thorn on a rose. He wouldn't go much further on the subject of Sam but, he let Katherine do what she was doing without much movement. Yes, Ruby had spoken of the vampiress and of course Kol reacted to his demonic acquaintance by throwing her into a picnic table and possibly breaking it as he recalled. "Ah now, she's not all bad she's a perfect killing machine too bad she's a demon pathetic as they are she is easily manipulated and wants your hunters head on a stick." He said giving Katherine the detail of his last meeting with the demon and the two hunters.
Kol had his followers as he was sure Katerina had hers. But, a date to this ball thing he did not have so asking Katerina seemed like a good idea not that he was afraid to ask anyway. When she spoke after Kol smiled again bowing his head lightly. Now, if Ruby was to make an appearance he would make sure she would behave or Kol wouldn't be too happy one bit. "What are friends for? Besides my sister is a bit of a party pooper with her being Nik's favorite. Besides darling, your my favorite out of everyone in this pathetic place of a town." He said telling her his thoughts. When she mentioned shopping Kol could only imagine putting her with Rebekah or so not Bekah would have a fuss about her hanging out with yet, another Petrova look-a-like. He smiled placing his hands behind his back with a simple nod after. "Shopping matters it is then, shall we?" He said then holding out his hand to her.
They were in the Town Square and their were shops here so why not attend to be a guest of Katerina's presence. As much as he wasn't into the whole girl shopping thing his sister tried to drag him into he had nothing better to do. And plus he had no descent suit the last one he had was when his mother through that ball to announce that the Original family had moved back to Mystic Falls for good. Perhaps he would let Katerina pick one out for him if he was generous enough.
TAG: Katherine // Open NOTES: It's okay, I hope you get better my dad had that a year ago. Glad I play him! I'm just upset they don't write him in the show more along with Katherine.

Hugging Kol felt wonderful, the way Katherine had only knew centuries ago. There was a comfort to it, an affection that the vampiric dopplegänger had almost forgotten through the sands of time. It was so telling when it came to the Mikaelsons how she she could feel so safe with some, so happy, and then so terrorized and livid. They certainly ran the gamut of her impressive spectrum of emotions, and Katherine Marina Pierce was not about to devote more time than necessary to picking apart the psychology of the Originals and their habits. Not when she had one right here who she truly felt kinship to. And again, she couldn't think to far on that particular emotive tie, considering what it would technically mean for someone like Klaus. Kin with Bekah was one thing, even Elijah despite his rather taut social graces and withdrawn mannerisms; but Klaus… Then again, every family had their Black Sheep as it were…
She nodded at his opinion when it came to phones. While they served a necessary purpose, Katherine liked not being anachronistic. It was dangerous to stay too set in their old ways, something she had to admit all of the Mystic Falls vampiric residents seemed to understand. To parade around in bustles or bodices on a day they weren't glorifying the ages of old would stand out. And with the city's habit of 'Hunt First, Ask Questions Whenever', it was an important lifestyle choice to play the modern game. She gave him a reassuring smile, knowing that for someone so much older than herself, all of these changing times had to be exhausting. The last twenty years had been a blur of progress, technology making itself obsolete as soon as someone less savvy pieced together how to work it. It must be maddening, and her respect for the elder vampires who managed the masquerade grew tenfold.
A the mention of Sam, Katherine focused on keeping her features as schooled as possible. Kol's words pulled at her heartstrings. She felt safe with Kol, adored in a way she rarely knew and always craved. Giving him a soft, sweet smile Katherine nodded. For a moment, she let her face be wicked, a touch of the newly dubbed 'Old Katherine' peeking through. "You and I both know I don't do tamed." It was a true fact, and the old flair of flirtatious swagger was a balm on the wound of her heart. Pulling tight the mantle of 'Femme Oh So Fatale', Katherine remembered why she wore this mask so often. The Bad Girl didn't get hurt, the Seductress didn't have some demonic tramp in her life, let alone with something over her. The Old Katherine never would have this aching wound in her heart, slowly and steadily bleeding out in time with her tears. No, the dubbed 'Evil Slut Vampire Who Only Loved Herself' was safe, untouchable.
And alone…
"I'll tell you if he hurts me." The words spilled past easily, thankfully she had herself in tight enough rein to not let slip she was currently unhappy with Winchester Junior. And thankfully, the conversation continued. All thoughts of Sam, least the pressing focus they usually were, fell back to a quiet static in her thoughts. Too much else to do, too much to focus on then her current sense of betrayal. "Demons. What is this town coming to? I shudder to think what's next…" The arrogant loftiness was back, a female counterpoint to beautifully match Kol. Katherine hadn't been like this in so time, a proper companion to a Mikaelson. It felt good, the bite and ploys of a courtly tongue and the social dance of the gentry. Her posture changed, flowed into a more upper class carriage. Straight spine, chin elevated; face serene yet tongue razor sharp to delight the man beside her. It was another costume, another favorite game. And it had been far too long since she played.
Katherine smirked when he mentioned she was his favorite, and bobbed into a playful curtesy. "Flatterer." Her tone was teasing, not quite flirty yet a playful banter that spoke of closeness. When he held out his hand, Katherine stepped to his side. Sliding her arm into his, a proper escort from times long since dead but treasured memories for the pair of them. Letting her right hand lightly curl onto his bicep, Katherine let her head rest comfortably against Kol's shoulder. Rolling her eyes up to look into his, she let a lazy smirk dance over her lips. "We can grab anything but the dress. That would ruin the surprise."

------------------------ [/b] ------------------------[/b] To some it would have been a mistake to lay a finger on such a dangerous Mikaelson but, smelling her perfume and vampiric scent Kol could manage a hug from this doppelganger. He knew the well played tricks of her human doppelganger and so he was sure of Katerina being this one. Long ago, if Kol had met Katerina as a human girl like Elena was now he may have thought different the funny thing about doppelgangers were they shared some same qualities no matter how far apart they were. Elena was annoying and Kol had nearly broken her into pieces if little Caroline hadn't saved her little life. Heck, Kol may have ended her life and restarted it by turning her miserable life but, didn't. Kol wasn't fond with all of his siblings he just tolerated them only because they were blood, Elijah however was the one Kol never tried to manipulate the eldest brother had that respect from Kol. It was known that Kol was a bit afraid of his older brother not because of his ways but, the fact he had a sense of still acting human and Kol could never get that back. The Original hated that humans used mild technology as their slaves now he missed the old ways to communicate just visiting was an adventure. Now, was just boring humans were killing themselves with being in front of computers all day long at least Kol made an effort to find some entertainment by hunting and doing what he does best as a vampire. But, he went with the whole charade of phones and technology to blend in to this century. Kol stood in position watching the facial expressions on Katherine's face about her so called boyfriend and he just had to be sure. He squinted his eyes towards her with a then straightened expression as Kol let out a small laugh which to many was new to hear from the bad boy. "Indeed. I will give you props although, your Salvatore's have much more attitude then they do." He said leaving it at that. Kol wanted to bring the old Katerina to play the all so torturous beast that enjoyed her kills and didn't have the care in the world. Kol would also not allow this demonic hag to bother Katerina even if Kol was using the demon to his own personal gain at the moment. She could not be compelled because she had no stupid human soul in her which drove Kol mad at times but, he needed her alive for the time being. He nodded to her words about if the hunter hurt her. He took her word for it as a trustful manner so Kol then placed his hands behind his back as an old habit from the old days. Kol could remember himself with his long hair and old clothing running up the hills with his siblings as boys when they were human. Things did surely change over a thousand years. "Not an idea but, apparently we are not the first vampire species on this bloody planet either." He said in reference to some white haired Britishman who went by the name of Spike he met only a few days ago. It was funny new worlds meeting and it was quite funny how two wolds were meeting now in the same town that was filled with chaos and destruction. Kol didn't care as long as they stayed out of his way he would be fine. "It's in the nature love, the men must flatter the women especially back in well my human years it was us who had to work for a ladies approval and I was a charmer." He said remembering that bit of his human life. Kol had tried so hard to bury his human memories deep within him his parents turned him and his family into the world's most deadliest creatures and he feared his parents because of what they were. Esther was a powerful witch and Mikael well was a hunter that fed on his own kind being vampires just to find his own children and hunt them down like dogs. Kol didn't like thinking of it so he left it alone and when he felt Katerina grab his arm he smile and looked down at her chocolate eyes and walked forward with a graceful smile. "So be it then. How about we compel a few to fetch our treats then?" He said as he walked off with Katerina. TAG: Katherine // Open NOTES: So short. *Tear* okay will I have a thread there for the two already I was bored that day and was like must be the first Original there. Take yours time.

As he brought up Damon and Stefan, Katherine couldn't help but smirk. "I certainly was on my toes more with the Salvatores." It was true after all; Katherine was always challenged by the brothers in a way a part of her missed. But things were wonderful with Damon now, he was truly one of the only people in the world Katherine felt safe enough to break down into tears with. Damon would do anything for her, and she him; and it finally came from a place where the pair of them could actually survive it emotionally. He was her beloved other half, her Soulmate (in the traditional tragic sense of the word) and that was Everything. And Stefan, well to be honest even though she had willingly gone through hell for him, Stefan hadn't actually said a word to her in months. The fact that she allowed herself to be bait to keep him safe should have warranted at least a 'Hey, how are you?' but the only logical thing she could understand would be him needing to be there for Elena. And since she would rather rip off her lapis in daylight for her surrogate daughter, she would never say the proverbial 'boo' about it. Stefan could come talk to her in his own time. Elena truly came first. And hopefully he understood they were both on the same page about that.
At the mention of new vampires, Katherine made a mental note to seek some of them out. There had to be something to that rumor, and maybe she could drop a line to Willow to see if she could help point the brunette in the right direction. Who knows, maybe there was someone out in the new world of supernatural whatnots for her to play with. God only knew she missed playing since being a more focused and straight laced 'Good Girl'. With that curious look on her face, Katherine shrugged it off. Later. Now she needed to spend time doing more important things. Like fluffing ever the peacock at Kol's attention of her. A small needling thought went through her mind, warning her of letting this get out of hand. Kol was an Original, if a friend. Yet there was a fine line between playful flirtatious banter and the obsession their kind so oft fell into. "I can see it, darling. And it's hot. Most boys around here don't remember how to charm a lady anymore." No, it seemed gallant chivalry was reserved for hunters and supes.
"Oh please…" She purred, happily wound onto his arm as they fell into step with one another. It really was the only way to shop, and since the working class didn't seem to be gargling vervain after every flossing it still seemed to do the trick. With the proper amount of eager staff, the vampiric duo headed out and about on the town. Sliding an oversized pair of sunglasses onto the bridge of her delicate nose Katherine let a wicked smirk curl on her perfectly glossed lips. Oh, but freedom does taste Good…
