FEAR NOT I AM WITH THEE OH BE NOT DISMAYED ~ I'll strengthen thee help thee and cause thee too stand ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~It had been a while since Castiel had last seen either of his human friends the Winchesters. From his knowledge, Sam was still dead. He had hoped that Dean was handling this all right. He knew how much he cared about his brother Somehow his travels had brought him to a quaint town in Virginia. He hadn't seen any of his other siblings and in all honesty it was nice to get a bit of peace though. However from the looks of things this town was no where near as clean as he would have liked. There were likely creatures of the supernatural running around and the like.
It seems as if the hunters would have their hands full, either way. Castiel was always eager to help out in those situations but he sometimes got the impression to not help. That was just a way that he got new orders. The waterfall was beautiful. Castiel again had to pray silently thanking his father for creating such wondrous things. Whether or not he ran into someone or something was fine. Though he did get to see a family walking a trail here.
Cas was almost always silent nowadays. Though, this state made his feathers stand on end. There was just something about Virginia that really made him fidgety. Though Castiel couldn't quite put his finger on it. He was actually fairly pensive. There was a lot to think about. There wre things swimming in the angel's mind. He wasn't quite sure what to make of it.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sofiel looked at her watch. Her sunglasses on her head. She was waiting for Logan to finish getting ready. It was funny how she was always ready to go before he was. Then again it was Saturday and she wanted out of the house before her mother entered the house drunk and got a bit violent. She and Logan had been up late the night before so she expected him to take a long time getting out of bed. She sat on the couch looking at the door. She hated going out in daylight without her brother just like he wasn't too keen on walking out of the house at night without her. Their mother hated the fact that they were slow close and together all the time. She thought it was time that they grow up and do things without each other. The funny thing about that was she was never around to realize that they did things on their own as well. They were still pretty messed up after having seen their brother die. So how could she expect them to just leave each other to fend for themselves. She shook her head and brought herself out of her musing.
She noticed the doorknob turning. She sat up straight and watched as her mother stumbled into the house. She took one look at her daughter and started screaming at her. Saying things such as the house was too dirty and where did she think she was going. Sofiel stayed silent as her mother yelled at her. She moved away from the couch but not quick enough. Her mother grabbed her arm and threw her to the floor asking her to get up and get her coffee. "Mother you need to lay down and sleep." She ventured to move from her place on the floor and her mother kicked her side as she scurried away from her in pain but didn't show it. She ran off to get her mother coffee bringing it in moments later. What is taking that boy so long. She thought as she placed the coffee in her mothers hands. She was trying to make it look like she was hurting or afraid of her own mother. Her mother took a sip of the coffee and then spit it back our at her before standing up and slapping her across the face. Sofiel shivered as she stood back up. "LOGAN!" She screamed as he raced into the room and stopped his mom from raising his hand against his sister again. He pinned his mother to the couch and looked at his sister.
Sofiel took off out the door heading towards the falls. It was their usual Saturday trip. Logan jumped up off his mother and raced out of the house with his keys locking the door as he heard his mom trip to the door and start calling them things he'd much rather not remember. He took off down the street catching up moments later with his sister. He took her hand and they stopped running and resorted to walking. They said nothing on their trip up to the falls. They both knew something like that was going to happen if her mother saw her in that state. Sofiel stopped off at the bathroom before heading up the trail to check and make sure that she didn't have any visible bruising that she couldn't just play off. Thankfully for her the only one she had was on her side where her mother had kicked other then that she was perfectly fine. She took a deep breath and walked out taking her brothers hand.
It took about an hour for them to completely forget about what had happened and start their little games. She took off running and he was close behind. She wasn't watching where she was going until she fell back and looked up at a man. "S...Sorry..." She got up brushing herself off and hoping that the man would be kind to her. Logan came running up behind her and stayed there.
FEAR NOT I AM WITH THEE OH BE NOT DISMAYED ( I'll strengthen thee help thee and cause thee too stand ) ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~If only Castiel wasn't so fidgety. He just walked around the waterfall. It was a serene picture really. Castiel tended to marvel at such wondrous creations, and was actually lost in his thoughts. He watched people around him. There were all kinds of people here. There were children here with their parents, the elderly, and young couples. They were... interesting to watch in all reality. Castiel couldn't really bring himself to dislike humans. They were still works of art to him. Nevermind that he probably looked pretty spaced out.
Cas looked about the area, still a bit fidgety. That was about the moment that he felt something, or someone careen into his side. He didn't really budge though. When he looked to see what bumped into him he just tilted his head a bit. He was a tad confused, but the teen looked like she meant no harm. At first he was unsure of what to say. His people skills were definitely rusty if anything.
“Are you all right?” he asked. He was definitely awkward, not that he could help it. The stormy blue eyes of his vessel looked at the girl. He wasn't sure what to make of this situation. It looked as if she was in the midst of playing a game. Castiel's thoughts were semi-confirmed when he noticed a little boy behind the girl. He wasn't stupid and as much as he wanted to leave, he couldn't just poof out of there.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Logan walked up closer to his sister helping her finish brushing off her back. She gave him a soft smile as she turned around to look at the guy in front of them. There was this soft glow it seemed coming from him. Sofiel wasn't getting a bad vibe but she wasn't sure what to call the vibe she was getting. She wasn't the only one of course. She knew that her brother Logan had been delving into the magical arts ever since their older brother died. They had no clue what had attacked them that night and they didn't want to be ill prepared again. They wouldn't be able to bare losing each other. Something was different about this guy. What it was she wasn't quite sure at the moment and that made her want to find out. It wasn't that she couldn't trust him either because strangely enough she thought she could.
Logan looked at her her oddly and she exchanged the same glance in a sense. They were having an inner discussion with each other as they waited for the man to reply. He hadn't moved a muscle when she ran into him. It was like his was a solid foundation but it also hadn't completely hurt her either. Logan took her hand protectively. They were both a little jumpy with recent events of being followed and things in the paper happening both in their some town and the town next door. On top of that their mother if she found out they were talking to strangers she's blow a fuse. Sofiel didn't want that and Logan wasn't about to be nice and drag his mom off his sister again. The next time the woman attacked he was going for her. They finished their little chat with their eyes as the man asked if she was okay.
"I'm fine...Are you okay sir. I didn't mean to run into you. I was running and didn't look up." It was the truth and even Logan nodded his head. "We were playing a game." They both venture almost identical smiles. It seemed as if they were so close they didn't even have to look at each other to do such things. In unison and almost in the same tone of voice they said, "We are sorry sir." They both exchanged glances after that with a slight giggle. "Forgive up we don't mean to scare either." "We are twins you see and talking and acting the same comes naturally." That was about all the were willing to say to the man. Sofiel started thinking about stories of Angels. She had no clue why she was thinking about them. Neither herself or her brother really attached themselves to any religion. They liked learning about them all really.

FEAR NOT I AM WITH THEE OH BE NOT DISMAYED ( I'll strengthen thee help thee and cause thee too stand ) ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~What? Castiel, be hurt? Not by simply running into him. However, it wasn't a big deal, and Castiel wasn't going to smite anyone. He wasn't that kind of seraph. He looked at the child that had run into him. “I'm all right, just be careful,” he replied displaying no emotion. At least he remembered how to interact with humans. He wasn't at a total loss he figured. Again with this state. Virginia was just odd to him.
Something about this young girl and her brother was different. Castiel couldn't quite put his finger on it, but it certainly got the wheels in his mind turning. “You two shouldn't be running around alone,” he said, again with little to no emotion in his voice, “It's not safe here.” There or anywhere for that matter. He actually was a tad concerned about them, nevermind that he came off as distant. He was always like that.
Now a breeze was picking up. Whether this was just a weather phenomenon or something else had yet to be seen by Castiel. As an angel he couldn't really feel the cold, but alas he could only guess whether or not he should be worried. Not that he wasn't already worried about his friend Dean. His human friends tended to be magnets for trouble, and apparently its how they rolled. However, he felt a slight fondness for the two young people here, but then, children had that effect in a way.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sofiel kept an eye on the person in front of them while she and her brother had one of their silent conversations. This usually scared most people because they were never really sure what the two of them were thinking about. It scared their mother to death when they started their silent conversations mostly because she knew that her children could very well be the end of her. Sofiel was trying to make out why in the world she was feeling strangely safe within the man's presence. She thought about what she had learned about Angels and thought maybe just maybe what she had heard was true. After all she had seen many strange things in her young life and, on top of watching something attack and kill her brothers she knew that things thought to by myths could very well be real.She shook her head and even looked at her brother to end their silent discussion. Logan kept a tight hand on hers however just in case they needed to run and they were being deceived in some way.
The man finally spoke up once more. "I will sir. Sofiel smiled at him with a nod that she would be true to her words. It was odd to her that they man was displaying no emotions whatsoever. It seemed however that there was emotions there she just wasn't sure what to make out of it in the first place. He seemed to be thinking and she looked at her brother only for a moment before his voice brought her back to the man at hand. "We know its not safe. However, we are never alone as long as we are with each other." Logan piped up a second later. "If you think of that more in a parenting stand point. I'd rather our mother be dead..." There was anger in his voice and Sofiel let go of his hand and backed away for only a moment before her eyes started to cloud up. Logan's eyes went wide. "Sof I'm sorry. I didn't mean too." He reached out for her pulling her in close. He looked up at the man with a sort of help me look. Sofiel buried her head into her brothers chest and which muffled her next words but they were still audible. "Mother isn't that nice a person sense brother died."
It took all of about five minutes before she pushed herself away from her brother and they went back to holding hands once again. Sure it seemed their little outburst was over but it was easy to turn for happy go lucky for them back to reality. Reality was a harsh place to be and that wasn't where they wanted to be while they were playing. "Why do you think its not safe here sir?" Sofiel was curious to find out more about the man in front of her. "I mean we know its not but why don't you think it is?" She watched him as she waited for him to reply again.
FEAR NOT I AM WITH THEE OH BE NOT DISMAYED ( I'll strengthen thee help thee and cause thee too stand ) ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~Castiel was here with a young girl, and her brother. From their expressions, they were very close. It reminded him of Sam and Dean, really, and it was heartwarming. From the things the young boy had said they had a rough household. Castiel sort of softened at this point. He wasn’t a jerk, but he was indeed awkward. As to why it was unsafe in this town, he couldn’t really put his finger on it. If anything these kids were different. The fact that they seemed to hold conversations not audible by the ear told Castiel that there was something else going on with these two.
His facial expression now only showed a sliver of emotion. It was mostly about the fact that he was beginning to wind out of his easily flustered mindset. Social skills were never in Castiel’s list of strengths. “I’m not sure yet, just something about this town seems unsafe,” Castiel replied now show a bit of concern. Cas didn’t have many human friends, one of them was locked in a cage with Lucifer, and he didn’t know where the other one was.
“Why would you say something like that about your mother? Castiel asked tilting his head. He wasn’t too sure why a child would say that about their own mother. What Cas asked sounded a bit prying, but he was curious. The angel wouldn’t harm anyone unless he really needed to. Now he might be feeling a need to look after these two. He also didn’t know their names, he could always read their minds, and find out, but from being around Dean for so long he learned that, that was a bad idea.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Sofiel and Logan were both musing about whether or not the man in front of them was indeed an Angel. They both seemed to think so and they didn't even need to look at each other to come up with that same mind set. They felt safe in his presence and they were going to leave it at that. They were almost one hundred percent sure now that they were not being deceived. It took a lot however to break down either or their guards regardless of how naive they could seem to be. Sofiel more so then Logan. She still held tightly to her brother's hand though waiting for the man to speak. It took him awhile and he had them hanging on his every word too. He said that the town was unsafe and the two of them just nodded. It was Sofiel who started speaking however and going far over her normal amount of words to strangers for the day. She'd been doing that more often lately.
"Well there are things here that most would only consider myth. We have run into them though we are not sure what they are." She wasn't sure if the man would understand what she meant by her words but Logan didn't speak to add anything to it because his thoughts were much like his sisters. Things meant to be myth were definitely living with them. On top of that he'd found out that one of the old families in the area had a huge tragedy and that people had been seeing blasts form the past. Things were never what they seemed to be in this small little town. After the attack they had confirmed that idea. They'd always had that idea. Then a question about their mother came up and Sofiel's eyes turned almost black at the mention of her mother but it was Logan who started to speak up first before she did and pulled her closer his arm going around her waist.
"Our mother is a very cruel person. She blames our older brother's death on my sister. Not to mention she leaves us alone days on end and expects us to have dinner ready when she comes home from being gone. She's a drunk and a whore." Logan took a deep breath and Sofiel's arm went around his waist as well trying to calm her brother who she could feel shaking with anger. "She's hit me a few times. Nothing ever too serious. Not to mention after our brother's death she locked us up in an asylum and didn't even want us back but we came back anyways cause we had no where else to go." She looked down at the ground for a moment gaining her composure and then looked back up with a bit of pride dancing in her eyes. They'd stayed alive and out of trouble this long and that was how it was going to be. FEAR NOT I AM WITH THEE OH BE NOT DISMAYED ( I'll strengthen thee help thee and cause thee too stand ) ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~The angel listened intently to what the young girl was saying. He didn’t want to offend, but he knew that she was possibly in an unhealthy household. If only he could help. The thing was is that he didn’t even know their names. That would prove to be a problem. He looked to the two. “My name is Castiel,” he informed them. He wasn’t really great with pleasantries and being social at all. Like what Dean had said, he was a ‘nerd angel’ what ever that meant.
His expression was now far softer than it was when he had first met these two young people. He had to admit that he was already beginning to grow attached to these two. Castiel wondered if these two had ever told anyone else about what went on in their household besides himself. He felt that they should have, but he was in no position to be giving orders. However, the seraph did feel concern for these two. Perhaps he could keep an eye on them.
“What are your names?” he asked. Maybe he could put in a word for an angel to be assigned to them. Though, he had a sneaking suspicion that he would be the angel to look after them, since that seemed to be his luck. He was certain of it. “Have you looked for anyone to help with this situation?” Castiel inquired. His face was now soft and possibly even showing concern. He also wasn’t sure to tell them his true identity.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sofiel and Logan stayed wrapped together looking at the person in front of them. For people that didn't know they were twins it would seem like they were a couple. However, they were holding onto each other the way they were because it at least gave them a little more comfort then just holding hands. Finally they let go and went back to holding hands. They were both slightly better and could hold their own without having to be wrapped around each other. The pride and dignity still showed in Sofiel's eyes and the fire that had been in her brothers was beginning to fade as they both regained their composure and their happy go lucky out look that they usually had on mornings where they were running around by the water fall. They'd done this with their older brother and they would continuing doing so, so long as they both lived in Mystic Falls. They wanted out at some point but they knew they couldn't leave now. They didn't have enough money to get out of their mother's roof. Sofiel had yet to get a job and Logan only had his band that got paying gigs every once in awhile. They were both surprised they got food on the table with out stealing it at times. They were glad that their mother's work paid her directly to her account and they had that information.
After they finished they let the man in front of them digest what they had just said. He finally said his name and Sofiel's eyes went wide. She was named after and angel but this guy standing here had the name of an angel as well. Could it be that he just happened to be named that or that he really was the actual angel. Something told her that it wasn't that he was just named after the angel. "Castiel...are you an angel?" She knew that probably sounded strange but she hoped that he wouldn't get all weird on her for asking. If he did then she would have to start thinking of other things to say as to why she would ask such at question; Though angel or not she'd have to answer some questions she was sure.
His body language now seemed to be a little less tense. Even the aurora around him seemed to be changing in a way. Something about him has softened and it did not go unnoticed by the twins. "I'm Logan and this is my sister Sofiel." She heard her brother introduce them after Castiel asked their names. The next question out of his mouth made the two look at each other with worried looks. "I've been pulled into the office many times to be asked questions but I've never said anything." Logan looked over at his sister. "The same thing happens to me and I've been taken into the nurses office at school on countless occasions but as for asking for help no. Mom...if Mom found out she'd." Sofiel shook her head. She knew exactly what her mother would do. Her mother had sent her to the hospital that last time she'd asked for help. Logan could tell that he'd be having to speak about that fact though.
"We can't ask for help. We probably shouldn't have even told you. If our mom were to find out she'd send my sister the the hospital again. We got out of the hospital the last time because she'd made like a concerned mother and threatened me not to say anything at all. My sister didn't speak even when asked. No we can't go for help not if we want to live." He had a look of defeat in his eyes. He could do nothing to save his sister and that bugged him more then words could say. Sofiel hugged her brother tightly and looked up. "We want out but we are scared. That was all she was going to say for the moment. She waited for Castiel to say something to them. Maybe some soothing words or something. She was thinking more and more that he truly was an angel.
FEAR NOT I AM WITH THEE OH BE NOT DISMAYED ( I'll strengthen thee help thee and cause thee too stand ) ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~The angel was astonished that the you girl and her brother before him had figured out his true identity, as an angel. Castiel nodded in the affirmative. He was certain that they would believe him. “I am,” he said hoping no one else would hear. It would be awkward if someone else heard them say that he was indeed an angel. He wasn't like his other siblings and wouldn't actually smite people for no good reason. It was also something that he had supposed that Dean taught him. Before, when he was banished from Heaven, Dean was sort of teaching him how to interact with people. Humans still puzzled Castiel to no end, but he was learning, and growing more fond of humanity.
He was growing fond for these two. There was something different about the little girl, but there wasn't any proof of this, Castiel would keep these two in mind for the time being. He would like to stay and chat but he was needed in battle. “I'm... sorry to hear about that,” Castiel said, “If I can help I will.” He was more of a talker than a fighter, but if these two need some way to get out of harms way than he would help out. Perhaps Dean would help? “I apologize, it is time for me to leave,” Castiel said, “if you two need me, don't hesitate to call, by prayer.” That was partially true. “If I can I'll help,” he said. Of course, he couldn't just come down to earth in the middle of a war, but he had obligations down here anyway. With that the angel vanished, only the fluttering of wings announcing his leave.
