It was hard to keep up the charade of 'Everything's Fine'. Especially looking over her shoulder every other minute, waiting for the other shoe to fall. To make up for it, Katherine was trying to well, not be very 'Katherine'. Always the polished and manipulative bitch, she decided to try and be more 'Kat'. And if that meant dressing a little more like a Hunter's girlfriend… she'd make a valiant attempt. Though she doubted the Christian Louboutins and Valentino tank top were part of the typical wardrobe; it was still said self-professed Valiant Effort. Mostly it was her way to cope, her personal appearance one of the few things Katherine could actually control completely about herself. But even that was beginning to falter, and as her nerves started to get the best of her, Katherine began to falter.
She was falling in love with him. Full on, head over incredibly couture heels with Sam Winchester. A Vampire in love with a Hunter; it sounded so completely absurd. But for the first time in years she wasn't mourning the loss of Stefan, or licking the Damon-induced wounds. It was freeing and terrifying and every other ridiculously appropriate cliché in the world. And that didn't change the fact that it was also completely true. Which meant he was in danger. Simply because he was so important to her. Klaus killed everyone dear to her before; it was why she was such a dismissive bitch to people for so long. And in sauntered family both adopted and blood and for once Katherine had so very much to lose. The current most important being the man she could not, would not see hurt.
It was what brought her to this occult store in the first place, sitting at the complimentary table in back and pouring over her newest purchases. Books on protection, wards, werewolves and vampires in legend. Anything, everything she could think of to keep him safe. Even the satchels full of vervain beside her were destined for the Winchester and not herself, her own stash back at her place already given to him the night of the bonfire. Her safety didn't matter, her own life could quite frankly be forfeit if it meant he was okay. That he was safe. If anything happened to Sam, god forbid if he died because of her… With tears threatening her vision, Katherine cursed and dove deeper into her research. She didn't know what or how or where to even look for answers to her Original problem, and she was beginning to lose hope. If it wasn't for the occasional buzzing of her cellphone with some lighthearted and sweet text from her boyfriend, I don't think I will ever get over how good that sounds, she would have given up already. But he needed her. He needed her looking, researching, finding something anything to help.
Slamming her hands down onto the table in frustration, only a tiny bit over human normal strength, Katherine let out a frustrated whimper. With elbows firmly planted on the table, Katherine hung her head and fisted her hands into the waves of her hair. "I can't do this…" Lips parted, Katherine let out a quiet sob as her shoulders sagged. He was going to die if she couldn't fix this, finish this. End this. At once, her thoughts went to how much better it would have been if she had followed Damon's advice; to let Klaus kill her and save everyone the agony and pain. But the selfish thought was quickly shoved from her mind. Not anymore, she refused to be selfish anymore. Taking a steadying breath, Katherine did the only thing she could think of. Something she hadn't done in centuries. Katherine prayed.
I know I may not be your favorite child, and I know I'm Damned. But please God, don't let him die because of me. Please help me save him…

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Things had been looking up for Willow lately, Xander was here with the group, Tara was back from her job, and even Jenny was back from the dead. It seemed like for the group things were getting a lot better, well for now at lest. Now if Willow could just get this spell right she was so close and think she might have it, she is just missing a few things needed to make it just right. Which was why she was her way to a magic shop to pick up some goody’s, plus I been a awhile that she had been to one so she was in much need for Magic shopping. Its something a witch just has to do sometimes when her ingredients are running low. She was driving on her way to the shop called Pathways a magic shop that is in Richmond, it not to bad of a place. Its no magic box but it seems to have whatever her and Tara need to get the job done, so far it has not failed them. Willow even has found a book or two from here that she just cant not put down, its had some really great spells in there. She finely was there so she found a place to park the car and quickly made her way inside. Willow didn’t mess around when it came to magic shops, to her it was like going to the toy store or candy shop. Willow walked in and begin to look around with excitement, there were so many things she wanted to look at first. But she knew she was there for a reason, she had no to time to just mess around. Plus she had to meet back up with Buffy and soon. So she pulled out her list of things she needed and started to get to it. As she was looking around at each thing grabbing what she needed, she heard a voice, it almost seemed like the girl wasn’t to happy like something was very wrong with them. They seemed very worried like something was up. So the witch decided to make friends and ask. “Excuse me is something wrong? Maybe I can help?” Word Count- 370 Tagged- Kathrine Outfit- Click here for Willow's Outfit.Note- ~~~~~~~~~~~
It was a sweet almost sing-song voice that pulled Katherine out of her misery. Releasing her death grip on her hair and wiping fitfully at the tears stinging her eyes, Katherine looked up and gave a watery smile. "I'm not… sure to be honest. Maybe? I… this is all Greek to me." It was as if the young redheaded woman arrived exactly when Katherine needed her, the less cynical side of her brain offering up the possibility that she might have something to do with her heartfelt prayer. Throwing caution into the wind, Because it's been working rather well for me lately, Katherine decided that maybe it was worth having a little faith in someone. Gesturing to the chair beside her, Katherine then looked down at the books with a wrinkled brow. "I'm trying to find some type of protection spell, or charm. Something powerful. I… someone I love needs it."
It wasn't until she spoke the words aloud that Katherine realized exactly what she said. It was out loud, out in the world for any to hear. It was such a weight off of her shoulders, such a release of pent-up nerves to say it that a wistful smile curled lightly on her lips. Her eyes still held worry and plenty of concern, but the smile seemed to soften the planes and curves of her face into something younger; something so much less jaded and so very much more alive. Reaching down onto the table, Katherine picked up a lacquered hair stick. With a quick twist of her wrist, she pinned her hair up into a tousled twist, a few stray pieces falling around to frame her face. She needed to concentrate, and for some reason her hair was becoming a distracting fixation that she didn't need. "A very dear friend of mine was a witch, but I don't have her talents. And I don't know what to do. Thank you… for helping me. It means the world." The smile she gave was again, very genuine before she rested her cheek in her hand. Completely unsure as to where to even begin.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~She could see that the girl was upset witch was why she wanted to help them, Willow was the type that didn’t like to see people sad or in pain. She always liked to be there for a person in need of a good friend its what she did best, she was always like that in school to. It could have been the key point to why she was picked on, because people knew how sensitive Willow was but she couldn’t help that was just her. “Well maybe I can help you, what is all Greek to you show me.” The red headed which said giving her a smile. Willow then quickly took a seat sitting beside the girl, it almost seemed like she was trying to learn a spell or something. By the way she was talking she didn’t really seem like a witch at all, because a witch would know how to do all this. A protection Spell is pretty much armature magic for a witch, but she didn’t seem like a witch and Willow didn’t really think she should be showing just some random person magic. She really didn’t want to take a chance a getting someone hurt, but she also didn’t want this girl sad like this. So Willow knew she had to help her. “Well can I ask why they need it what’s wrong? I just don’t want to do something if I don’t know the whole story and reason you know.” She said nicely to the girl. Willow could just see how upset she was by the way she was messing with her hair, and you could read it on her face like a book. “Well don’t mention it I never mind helping out someone in need, so your friend was a witch huh that neat. A friend got me into magic lets just say she was a great teacher, so your friend didn’t teach you anything?” Willow trying to get an Idea on what she knew. The witch then realized how rude she was being she didn’t even tell the girl her name yet. “Oh I’m sorry how rude of me I’m Willow by the way, and you are?” She asked the girl. With a small nod, Katherine picked up the books she was looking for, pulling them over so the pair could both look over them. "This is all I have so far…" Pursing her lips in thought, Katherine let some of the tension pour out of her body, the mere thought of possibly being able to keep Sam safe taking most of her panic away. It took a few moments for her to remember it, but Katherine reached down to snag her leather bound journal and fountain pen. Smoothing her hand over the rose thoughtfully, Katherine opened it up to her complied notes. Pulling that over as well, Katherine propped her head up in her hand.
"I understand." Pulling out her cellphone, Katherine flipped through her photos before finding one in particular that had a soft smile grace her lips. Looking over at the redhead beside her, she handed her the phone with the picture still pulled up. "It's my boyfriend, Sam. There's a really horrible person chasing after me and i don't want him to get hurt. I don't know what I'd do if anything ever happened to him… We just found each other..." It was funny, how after so many centuries of life, her emotions could still be such an absolute mess. Even after all of her control and practice, the thought of Sam getting hurt because of her had her stomach in knots and eyes shine over in tears. "I don't care what happens to me, but he needs to be okay. I'll do anything…"
Giving her a beseeching look, Katherine sagged in relief at what she said next. "I don't have any talent for it. It's not my gift, I guess. And the pair of us, don't get along anymore so I'm stuck." Thinking on Lucy, Katherine tried not to let anything dark sink into her or into her mood. She had resolved to be better, promised to put her darker habits behind her for their sake. Sam and Elena really were making her into a better person; even though she knew that her atonement would never end (especially to some of those who she'd hurt), she would at least try.
"And my other witch friend, well… she died a long time ago. I know enough to filter out the real from the tourist trap magic tricks. But then I hit a brick wall when it comes to getting it to work." When she brightened up talking about her teacher, Katherine gave a playful grin. "I never had anyone like that, but I always wanted someone in that mentor role. I've always had to teach myself, take care of myself. And now, it's me being the protector. And to be honest, I feel like I'm failing."
Taking a deep, realizing she had been too frazzled to even introduce herself, Katherine nodded once she mentioned her name was Willow. "I was about to say the same thing. I'm Katherine."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Willow took the book and begin to look at what she had, it seemed like what she was looking at so far she had idea of what she was looking for. “Well have you even begin to take note on some of things you will need, or what they spell is going to require?” She asked her that to see if she really had any idea to what she was doing, because truth was Willow didn’t feel safe telling someone a spell that had no idea on what to do. The last thing she really wanted was this poor girl to get hurt, or hurt who she was trying to help. Willow remembers the last time she tired to help Tara forget about there fight, all she did was end up hurting her in the end and not protecting her at all. Katherine had handed Willow a note book showing her what she did have so far, and it seemed like she did have the general idea of the spell. She could see how upset she was by the way she had pulled out her cell phone, to Willow it almost seemed like she was shaking but it was hard to tell. “Wow he seems like a really nice guy, he isn’t to bad looking ether if I was straight I would date a guy like that too.” She said laughing. “But I can understand that you want to keep him safe, I would die if anything happened to my Tara. She is my world and I cant even begin to think about losing her." She then stopped in silence for a moment before saying. “Again I cant take losing her again.” She wondered what Katherine was going to say when she heard that, she had in fact been through the love of her life. Willow thought it was so sweet how she wanted to make sure he was safe, its so much how she is with Tara. “Well don’t worry I’m sure he will be ok, I’m going to find away to help you don't worry.” She then placed her hand on top of Katherine’s trying to calm her down, and when she did Willow could sense what she was now. The question was why was a vampire so worried, she the best thing when it came to keeping him safe. Willow could feel that she had been around for awhile, and seemed like she was very strong. But it also made her surprised to find a vampire with no soul have so much feeling and love, it was a rare thing to find. It made her want to know why her friend didn’t show or teach her any magic, and had Willow a little worried about if she should be showing this girl. Its not that she didn’t trust her she just didn’t know her yet, which is why Willow is asking so much of her trying to get to know a bit more about this vampire. “Well don’t say you don’t have Talent, because I can feel that you do. I can feel that you are a very smart yet wise woman, am I right?” She said giving her a smile. One thing that Willow wanted her to stop doing was put herself down, she had so much potential about her. Willow could feel that sitting next to her, it was strong. “Well I’m sorry about your friend, I’m going to do what I can to help. But first will stop putting yourself down.” She said patting her on the back, trying to cheer her up a bit. She told Willow that her name was Katherine, it was the first she had ever met a vampire with such a pretty name and be so pretty herself. It seemed all the girl vampire she has met were not so great at all, Willow still doesn’t know what Angel saw in Darla, Drusilla was crazy looking, and harmony don’t even get Willow started on her. “Well I like your and its very nice to meet you Katherine, so have you lived in this town long then?” Word Count- 670 Tagged- Kathrine Outfit- Click here for Willow's Outfit.Note- Wow I love that Journal she had so cute. "No, not really." Katherine murmured, brows still pulled tight. As Willow gazed down at the offered picture, she couldn't help but smile. "He saw me. Past everything that I am, he saw me." It had been something that was so different than before, she couldn't help being caught up in the rush of it. Until her heart, the traitorous thing it was whispered a name through her mind. Damon loved her, no matter what. Did anything, everything for her until she had to push him away. She had tried not to love him, tried to keep him safe and for what? To have him hate her. Tell her she should die and leave them all better off. Was this just another case of her doing what she always did in terms of love? Making everything fall to the side at the cost of her own selfishness? It was what he had just called her after all, Selfish.
It took a few moments before Katherine realized exactly how ludicrous she was behaving. Buried up to her eyes in occult paraphernalia, fussing with her hair, focused on a magical solution to a, granted complex, problem and dragging poor Willow into the middle of it was exactly what she was trying to get better about. It seemed after five centuries she was certainly living up to exactly what she believed she was better than. An emotional eternal teenager without any semblance as to control and her natural tendency to lean towards obsession. Like she obsessed over the Salvatores, or even Elena when she first made it to Mystic Falls. There was so much completely messed up about what she was doing, and she couldn't for the life of her feel better about it if she tried. Ashamed and feeling quite low, Katherine let out a soft sigh. "Honestly, I don't have anything. And using magic won't help what's really wrong." Biting her lip, she closed one of the books in front of her and pushed it away.
When Willow mentioned her girl, her Tara, Katherine immediately perked up. "She sounds pretty wonderful. And I can tell you love her, your whole face brightens up when you talk about her. Do you have a picture?" There was something very sweet about how Willow just seemed to glow from inside when talking about her girl. It was how Elena would get over Stefan, and the exact reason why she made sure to stay out of the way of her happiness. When Willow mentioned losing her after a pause, Katherine nodded knowing exactly where she was coming from. She felt a part of her rarely (until recently apparently) not want the redhead before her to worry or be upset. The fact that she was so willing to help her, so compassionate for no reason other than the fact that she needed help endeared her to Katherine in a way she thought she'd never get let alone deserve. "If I can ever help you or Tara, I will. You have my word." And if there was one thing she made sure to keep, it was her word.
"Thanks Willow. I trust you." As Willow's hand touched hers, Katherine felt a moment of guilt. She knew her skin would be cold to the touch, and if Willow was as clever as she thought she was then her cover just might be blown. It was a quiet acceptance as opposed to fear or anger for once, and Katherine just calmly waited. Her next words gave her a sliver of hope, and Katherine hoped the witch beside her could sense her honesty through her obviously potent empathy. Another notch of respect in the redhead's favor, another level of building trust. "I've survived a lot to get this wise. But magic, it used to scare me. The man I'm running from wanted to use me for magic until there was nothing left. He said he needed my blood. It's scared me ever since." The momentary nerves melted away as she let out a soft chuckle, nodding in agreement. "Deal." And again, another point of contact made her nerves melt away.
"I'm scared. And I hate being scared. I hate feeling helpless. And I was looking for an easy fix and that's not fair, and it's not right." Realizing she was going about things in such a bad way, Katherine tried to calm her panic in a much more sane way, breathing albeit unnecessarily in and out before her nerves settled into an easy rhythm. "I think what I really need is someone to talk to. I don't have that. And this is already helping so much. You're keeping me grounded in a way I haven't been in… years… I'm really glad I met you too." There was such an aura of gentle strength about Willow that melted away all of Katherine's considerable neuroses. With a soft laugh she nodded and wrinkled up her nose slightly. "Keep coming back. Can't help it really. Though the last time I lived here the military boys were dressed in gray…" She had a feeling Willow might know she was far from human, so she took a bit of a cautious if playful risk in mentioning that the last time she lived here was during the Civil War.
In a spark of genius, Katherine stood up and gathered everything up in her bag before giving Willow a bright smile. "What do you say we go get some type of sugary, chocolatey coffee that should by all rights send us both into a diabetic coma and we can have some Girl Chat and get to know each other better?" Content to leave the fear, panic, mild obsession, and damaged past at the table to try something new. An honest attempt at friendship. It was worth a shot, and if anyone deserved a chance than it was the woman so willing to help a stranger.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~She could tell that the girl was very much in love, Willow understood so much because she was as well. She could read it all over her, just by the way she moved and by the way she talked. “Well the people that truly love you, they can see past everything else that you are.” Willow said thinking of her baby. That was how Tara was with her too, after everything that she had been through and done at the end of the day she still love her for her. Which is one of the things she loves so much about her. Willow wondered what she meant by past everything? She wondered if she was talking about the fact that she was a vampire. It made her wonder if the guy she was with knew what she was? All though she didn’t know why she would be worried, if this guy truly loved her he would learn to see past it. Buffy and Angel are living proof of that. She could tell that the girl was lost on what to do, just by the way she had pushed the book in front of her. It was almost like she was giving up, which was not what she wanted the girl to do at all. “ Well you don’t know that it wont help now, don’t give up that easy. Giving up never helps with anything, trust me I would know.” She said trying to cheer the girl up. But she did seem happy to hear that Willow was in fact in love to, as she asked to see a picture of Tara. She begin to pull out her phone trying to find the best picture of her baby that she could find. “Here is a pic of her that I took on my phone, she can be a bit of a model sometimes but only for me. She is kind of shy but then again that what I love about her.” She gave her the phone letting her look at the picture. She though it was sweet how Katherine would help them if anything was ever wrong, it was nice to have a new friend want to look out for them. “Ok thanks that means a lot to me, and I will do the Same for You and Sam you have my word” It made her happy to know that Katherine trusted her, it was nice to have another trusted friend. Especially seeing that there wasn’t many that she could trust in this town. She could tell again as she touch her hand that she wasn’t human though, she really wanted to say something seeing that they were becoming friends now. When she told Willow about needing her blood she knew then for sure that she was in fact one, it was also the perfect time to say something or lest she hope was. “Well sense we are being honest with one another can I ask you something? How long have you been a Vampire then?” She asked hoping not to make her mad. Willow was right there with her she hated feeling sacred and helpless, which is why she never puts herself in in those situations. “Well you don’t need to feel sacred and helpless I’m here for you, and you can talk to me when ever you need to. I know that we are going to make really good friends.” Willow said giving her a big smile. It told Willow right then and there that she was in fact an old vampire, saying that she had been around sense the war. “Wow that long, so you have been around a long time, and can I say you still look great for you age. So what was that like being here around that time?” Then she had read her mind bringing up the idea to get coffee, something that Willow loved to do. Chat over a nice cup of hot coffee. “Yeah that sound like a great idea we should so go over there and get some!” She said with excitement to her voice. "She's really pretty…" Katherine said softly. There was a level of genuine kindness about Tara's face, something that you could feel down to your bones. It was like she embodied everything warm and comforting in the world; all hot apple cider and warm blanket by the fire. It was a softness that reminded Katherine of her mother, and it made her face smooth out into wistful lines. Hearing that Willow would help her, seeing how kindhearted she was seemed to be another happy surprise. There was something about the people she had been meeting lately that was so different from what she was used to. There were no petty rivalries or cruel machinations; just genuine interaction. It was pretty fantastic, and Katherine hoped against hope her luck would stay this way.
And it was the word 'friend' that had Katherine feeling as though she could fly. She had so few allies, even then it was only ever until they could turn such an alliance to their benefit whenever it suited them. She had people who loved her, family sure; but that was always such an opportunity for pain. To be truthful, it really had been years since she could call someone an honest friend. Having one now; it was such surreal and fantastic news. Enough to have a bit of that constant tension behind her eyes relax away. That big smile had her chuckling, and Katherine couldn't help but give her one right back.
Katherine nodded over towards the door, sliding her bag up and onto her shoulder. "I know just the place. Saw it on my way in. I have a bit of a sweet tooth. Recent discovery." Hopefully with Willow at her side, Katherine headed towards the door and out into the fresh air. The small coffee house nearby proclaimed homemade biscotti and bakery cookies in pastel chalk on the outside sign, the smells from within intoxicating and incredibly tempting. Stepping up to the counter, Katherine quickly placed an order for 'whatever chocolatey deliciousness' the barista recommended and 'whatever the lady's having' before sliding out a handful of cash. Enough to cover their midday treat plus a sizable tip.
Spying an empty table by the window, Katherine snagged her steaming drink once it was finished before sinking into the chair and cooing at the whipped cream and caramel drizzled decadence. Once they were settled, contently far away from any eavesdroppers, Katherine let herself fall into storytelling mode. "It was beautiful here, despite the War. I was already like I am now though, for awhile, but there was something about the era of hoop skirts that I miss. Classic Southern Elegance. So far from how I grew up. Simple, poor country girl in Bulgaria. Born 1475, if you can believe it." She took a sip of her drink, happily wrapping both hands around the mug before perking up in excitement again.
"But please, tell me about you too! I don't want to hog the conversation!"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~She closed her phone putting it back in her pocket. “Thanks I love her more then anything in the whole world, she is my everything and I’m truly lost with out her. Trust me I would know I have had to go threw it once before, its not a feeling or a time in my life that I ever want to relive. Ever.” It was a time in Willow life that she really doesn’t ever want to remember, she never felt the same with out Tara. Even when she was with Kennedy there was still a hole that could never be filled, there was still something from that love she never felt like she did with Tara. The day that Tara died was the day Willow died as well. She doesn’t know what she will do if she loses her again, it scares her deep inside to even think about the consciences of what could happen. The sound of Coffee sounded great to Willow, she could use one after this day. She had been up pretty much since six the morning, making breakfast for the girl, cleaning house, and what she does best as always trying to work on and learn some new spells. That was pretty much her daily routine living in the boarding house, but she wakes up every morning right next to her baby so she couldn’t complain Life was good. For now anyway with there luck it could all change for them in a flash. “Well I have a bit of a sweet tooth myself, so lets go check it out.” She said following her to the door. Willow was just as excited as she was to be getting some chocolaty goodness, she knew it was going to be just the thing to hit the spot. After they got there drinks she quickly followed her over to the table right by the window, just the place she loved to sit so she could watched all that went on in the world. Day was beautiful and the sun was shining, but wait a minute a thought then came to witches head. How was she walking in the day light like this? She had to know what magic she had behind this. “Can I ask if you are a vampire how you are walking around like this? I mean if you don’t mine me asking I’m just curious that all, because my friend Angel he would burn up just like that if he walked out here.” She said while sniping her finger. Katherine’s life sounded very interesting, it sounded like she had been around for a while. “Wow so it sound like you have seen it all, I mean all the wars that have pasted in our time. I’m curious to know how many witches you met in your time, I’m sure lots.” The young witch said with a big smile on her face. She wanted to know more about Willow and really she didn’t know where to start, there was so much to tell. “Well I live here in the boarding house with some of my best friends, you will have to meet them all they are really great. But we are all here on work in the town for awhile, training some newbie’s as well. I have to say I really like it here in this town as far, but I cant lie there are a lot of strange things that happen here” She then picked up her Coffee to take a drink. Katherine gave a sympathetic nod, taking a contemplative sip of her drink. The residual heat of the cup was helping her hands maintain a human temperature, thawing the not completely dead flesh and soothing a bone deep ache. More than she should, Katherine understood loss. It was an empathy no one should have, despite death touching everyone. It was the great equalizer; not even a country girl could escape the reaper when he came. Continuing her current trend of risking trust, Katherine swallowed hard before offering an ear of companionable pain. "My daughter. She was taken from me. And my family soon after. I know the feeling." it was how she helped someone who mattered, offering her own commiseration to bond over their scars. After all, emotional scars were badges someone made it through and survived. They were beautiful and telling. More than most would give them credit for. Only an idiot would find scars marring.
The sunshine on her skin felt wonderful, and as if on cue Willow asked about it. Letting go of her cup, Katherine lay her arm against the tabletop, inside of her forearm towards them and the ceiling. Letting her bracelet fall against the table with a gentle click. "Lapis Lazuli. Blessed by a witch. I used to have a cameo of it, I preferred it to be honest. But the bracelet works for now. It protects me from the sun. Without it, I burn." The stone itself was beautiful, laced in gold and shining bright blue. There was a poignancy to it, though it was far from her right now. The Egyptians were right to worship it, though. Potent thing lapis is…
At her excitement, Katherine couldn't help but feel a mirrored rush. Thinking about it from the eyes of someone mortal, it did seem impressive. It was just her life, as remarkable and unremarkable as it was in it's dichotomy. But through Willow's precious mortal eyes, it did seem fantastic. Perhaps that was why others would fascination with humans. Their fragile lifespans gave them a level of appreciation that the immortal mind lacked. Brief candles that they were, Humans truly knew how to live. "I guess I have, I haven't really thought about it. And as for witches, I haven't counted but no more than a handful. They're rarely and grounded as you are. Most witches I've met lose themselves in the magic. It's why I was so frustrated about the spell. And why I've decided I'm not going to resort to it. I can solve this without adding extra complications. Magic comes at a price; I don't think I want to pay that added bit anymore."
At Willow's offer, Katherine nodded and grinned again. "That sounds really nice, actually. I could use it. Old friends are complicated at best." She took another sip, enjoying the flavors dancing along her tongue and warming her from the inside. While alcohol had a similar feeling, there was a tangibility to this beverage that Katherine couldn't get over. "It is. We've got werewolves, hybrids, Originals now, dopplegängers, witches, curses, you name it. Never a dull moment, if you can believe it. And a festival for just about every reason under the sun. You haven't truly lived in Mystic Falls until you've dressed up for a ball honoring some past era. Or another Founder's something-or-other…"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~It had sounded like Katherine had been through some loss as well, it was sad to hear that she had some one that dear was taken from her. It really had the witch sad feeling pain for her right now, wondering if here daughter was ok or not. “I’m really sorry to hear that she was taken. I hope you don’t mind if I ask but when you mean taken do mean someone has her or do you mean she is dead?” The witch felt so bad asking in that way its just she wanted to be a friend and be there for Katherine. “If you cant talk about it I understand, I know it could be a deep subject.” Willow wanted to know how she was kept safe from the sun, it was just neat to the witch. She knew one thing it had to be some form of magic. Then she showed her the bracelet that was on her wrist, she knew that was going to have something to do with it. It was so beautiful with gold and bright blue stone that she could see shining, it had to be an antique. She told Willow that it was blessed by a witch, she knew it she knew that it had to magic given by some sort. No vampire has ever been able to survive the sun, not one Willow has seen anyway. “Wow that is really neat, knew that it had to be magic of some sort. But who knows you have such interesting life I waiting for you to tell me you had powers or something?” Willow said laughing. “I’m just kidding around by the way but I thought it make you smile if I said that.” She was so right though People can get so lost in there magic, Willow knows that better then anyone being taken over by darkness. It change her making her the person that she wasn’t anymore, making her do things and kill people. Things that she would never do. But Willow really didn’t want to get into talking about her dark side, its something really that she is still trying to forget. Even though sadly it is a part of her that she will never fully be able to forget. “Yes you right magic can come with a price, I have had to figure that out the hard way more then once. It could be another reason witches lose them selves, from all the prices they have had to pay.” Willow paid a few prices herself when she got lost in using magic all the time. It even made her and Tara split at one point from how much she was using it, it was almost like she couldn’t stop like a drug. But magic can feel that way sometimes, and it is stronger then any drug. This place did have there share of nightmares from what she was telling her, but it wasn’t anything that the gang couldn’t handle. Sunnydale was no better if not worse, it had its share of monsters as well. “Well were we came from Sunnydale it was just as bad, we even had our own hell mouth. The hell mouth is the reason the town is no more. But I’m not to sure what some of those things are that you said, an original is that like an old vampire or something?” Witch asked with interest. Katherine took a moment, considering Willow's question. It was something that had weighed on her for so long, something that shaped her; a crucible that was necessary in it's tragedy. "I don't mind talking about her. If anything, it keeps her memory alive. I never knew what happened. I was a silly girl, lured off by a pretty boy with a prettier smile. And ended up pregnant. My father was furious. When I gave birth to her, she was immediately taken away. They wouldn't let me hold her. Or even really see her. I know she lived long enough to pass on our blood. It's why I have my Elena now. But I never found out what happened to her, or anything else about her life. If I looked into her, Klaus would have found her. I couldn't risk it." Taking a moment to consider the possibilities, Katherine felt a wistful smile tug at her lips. "Whenever it rains, I think of her. Of her father. I imagine that she led a fairy tale life, had wonderful parents, found her True Love. Never knew pain or sorrow. The only way she's still alive is if she was turned into something. Either like me or all of the other supernatural things that could have found her." Taking a beat, Katherine's brow furrowed slightly. "I don't know which I'd prefer to be honest."
Taking another sip from her drink, Katherine felt herself come back into her cheerier mood as Willow adorably babbled on. There was such an honest and happy quality to the woman that Katherine admired. It was like a redheaded version of Elena. "I've got hypnosis. And I'm relatively strong and fast. But no. No special Sunlight Powers. Though that would be handy." The pair of them seemed to be getting along well, and it seemed to be so natural for them. All of the bad from before was a distant memory, chased far away with yummy smells and fabulous company.
As soon as Willow's eyes took on her own far off look, Katherine shifted forward in her seat. It was a companionable lean that brought her forward to prop up on her elbows. With her hand still outstretched, Katherine moved to give Willow's a soft reassuring squeeze as the witch talked about her own trials and tribulations. "I can honestly say, few come back to themselves afterwards. Takes a lot of strength. And it's definitely something to be proud of." Another sip of chocolate and cream and the conversation steered to a place that seemed interesting. Suunydale. Never a stop on her whirlwind world tour, but definitely not for lack of supernatural hubbub. Tilting her head to the side, Katherine wrinkled her brow in thought.
"Hellmouth. I don't think I've ever heard of that before. And sort of? There was a family called the Mikaelsons. All vampires like me are branched off from them. And they're… intense. Super powerful. I'm no slouch and they could juggle me blindfolded while wrestling a bear. Which… thinking about it, Amusing visual."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Willow wanted to cry when she heard Katherine’s story, it was so sad that her baby was taken from her like that. The witch had no idea that it was that deep and felt bad for being it up, she really hoped that she had not upset or hurt Katherine. It was so sad really that she had no idea where she was, or if she was ok. But the witch understood fully why she didn’t know to know, she had to keep her safe. “Wow I’m so sorry you had to go through all that, it had to be so hard. If you ever need or want to talk about it let me know, I’m here for you.” She said while placing her hand on hers. Her story she told her was so touching but sad all at the same time, Willow was trying to hard not to cry herself. Her story really was putting tears into her eyes, she could help but shed them a bit. Willow then tired to clear her head and cheer up, after all she wanted to help bring Katherine up not down. She seemed to be liking some of the witches joke witch was good, it wasn’t that often she mad someone laugh. She wasn’t much of the joke type, that was more Xanders skill of expertise. Willow was more of the you can tell you problems and secrets to type, but she didn’t mind she liked having that job being there for her friends. It was what she was best at. Willow had never heard of the Milaelsons before, but they might be someone that the gang needs to be keeping an eye out for sure. She knew that when she got home she would need to fill Buffy in on this info, that is if she hasn’t all ready met any of them yet. Only god knows who she encounters on her patrols, maybe Willow doesn’t want to know. “Well thanks for letting me know about them, that gives me fair warning in case I meet one. Does this Klaus you spoke of earlier have anything to do with them by chance?” She asked curiously. “because if so I can take him out if you like.” She said giving her another smile, she more or less was playing around hopeing for a smile out of Katherine. Katherine nodded, smiling when Willow offered her comfort. It felt like honest empathy instead of potentially dishonest sympathy. Everyone had know those people before; who pretend to genuinely care about a problem but honestly didn't give a damn. Willow was different; one of those souls you couldn't help but open up to. It was refreshing, wonderful, spectacular; so many words flew through Katherine's mind. This was a precious mortal; one of the few that ever crossed her path. To someone as old and jaded as the immortal Petrova it was a breath of much needed fresh air, and completely unexpected. "I will. Thanks Willow."
Another long drag of her yummy drink, and Katherine sighed internally. It was almost finished, and the thought that seemed so benign had a symbolism to it that left her feeling a touch sad. "You remind me of Elena. You have the same big heart. You two should meet. I think you'd like each other." Of course, the idea of those two together sent a warm fluff through Katherine. It would be adorable incarnate, and she would have to make a mental note to brace herself lest the poor vampire die from Cute. It's nearly as deadly as sunlight, don't you know? With her chocolate brown eyes twinkling, Katherine took a moment to enjoy the peace of the moment. Even with the conversation being bittersweet, she still was having the best day of her countless long ones lately.
She nodded briskly when Willow spoke, willing to tell the witch anything she needed. "Klaus is the eldest." Each time she said his name, Katherine could feel a shudder course up her spine. When Willow offered to take him down, Katherine was torn. Instead of leaving everything in her head, she took a chance and opened up again. It was working so well, why stop now? "I… I don't know if it's possible. I believe you could do it, it'd be incredibly difficult. Problem is, any vampire connected to him by blood will die with him. That could mean me and with me go Stefan and Damon." A heartbeat passed before Katherine stared off into space. "If only he just wasn't such a monster. He's completely forgotten what it means to be human. He's sociopathic. We can turn off our emotions and it's never a good thing, but Klaus. It's like he's empty inside… I wish, hell everything would be perfect, if he actually had a conscience."
