- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -Alright, so she was on a mission…one that she really didn’t want to go on but she would. She looked around the bedroom that she had been staying in. Elena had been nice enough to let her stay with her which she was actually glad about since it was just Elena and Jeremy in the house. Jeremy had a bit of a hero complex…well…maybe hero complex was the wrong term. He didn’t jump in to save the day because he wanted the hype…but he did think he was invincible because of the ring that he wore. Unfortunately he didn’t seem to grasp how easy it was for a vampire to take that ring off…but she didn’t say anything because it wasn’t her place.
Elena however was the opposite. She was a classic martyr but not for reasons that she wanted the attention. She was just willing to die for those she loved…and that was something that Lexi couldn’t let happen. She was confidant in leaving Elena home with Stefan for a few hours while she went and tried to do some recon on the originals. She had yet to meet one but she knew that once she did things were going to get pretty hairy pretty quickly. She didn’t want that to happen because she didn’t want anyone to do who or why she was here…but she knew she needed to get more information than what she had. Stefan had been good at telling her everything that she needed to know about Klaus, but he didn’t know everything.
The blonde vampire hating walking into things before having all the facts.
Lexi finished zipping up her boots and took a quick look in the mirror. She knew that most vampires steered clear of anything that labeled them, but she didn’t. She rocked several vampire shirts and loved them. After all, who would think a real life vampire would go around wearing shirts announcing it? No one. Hidden in plain sight…best way to stay under the radar.
She called out that she was leaving, and walked out the door, heading towards her car. She looked at it for a moment before shaking her head and walking towards the woods, then running. She arrived at the quarry, somewhere that she hadn’t been in awhile but it still looked pretty much the same.
She stood there and watched, waiting, to see if anyone would show up. She doubted it, but at least it gave her room to breathe.

Honestly what in the world was Michael doing. Why the heck was he here? And most of all what was he doing. That's what he kept asking himself. Michael had taken a liking to this place. For some odd reason he would find himself sitting on one of the large rocks just looking out at the springs. Every day or two, he'd just sit. It was like relaxing. It was weird, but it was his little place. Usually when he was here he did not meet anyone. It was just him and nature. Something he had grown to love since his time back in the states.
He was sitting pretty high up on one of the rocks. you could not get much higher. His beloved bike sitting on the made made path below. His eyes always looking at it. Making sure it was safe. He was still in his gear. His tight leather jacket, his tight jeans, his big leather boots. The whole deal. His hands were still covered in his black gloves, his helmet sitting next to him. He was totally alone. It was nice. The weather was perfect. It was a bright and sunny day, the wind blowing, it was a good day.
Though as he sat here clouds began to roll in. He was pretty sure it would rain. But the wind blowing as it did, would blow the rain clouds pretty quickly by. But the cloud was short lived. Like he predicted it was passed in minutes. Though when he took a look back down, down by the water, he saw a blonde standing there, just looking around. Michael found her pretty curious. He was not sure if she was waiting for someone or if she was just there like he, to enjoy the weather and the view. Though there could not be much of a view from down their, unless you liked the fish in the water or whatever. Michael more content up here then down their. Anyway it gave him the upper hand. At least gravity would be on his side, had he needed it.
Michael stood up, half wondering if he should call out to her. Or leave her be. If he tried to leave the growls of his bike would surly alert her. So his options. He could sit here and watch her like a creeper. He could ignore her, and hope she was friend not foe, or he could just up and leave. Hopefully she would not be too startled by the loud sound. His eyes narrowed slightly, as he made his way further to the edge. "Hey." He called down to the women. Just letting his presence known. He did not do so as a threat, just a hey your not alone kind of deal. He was not sure what her intentions were. But he wanted to make sure she knew there was another with her, even if he was far up the rock.

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -As she waited for someone to show, her mind wandered to the past few days. She was more thankful than she could imagine that she and Elena had been able to at least force Stefan to turn his humanity back on. She was still more worried than she liked to admit about the fact that he was still under Klaus’ compulsion, but luckily with him locked up in the Gilbert house Klaus had no way of contacting him, meaning that he had no way to give him orders. The only outstanding order that Stefan had from Klaus that he had to obey was to protect Elena…and he would do that anyway so it worked out well for the moment.
This didn’t meant that Lexi wasn’t concerned about Klaus getting a hold of Stefan and reverting back to the ripper that she had gotten rid of more times than she cared to admit. Unfortunately if he reverted back this quickly she had a feeling that it would take even longer to bring him around than it had in the past. She would admit to selfish reasons over the years for getting Stefan back on animal blood and getting him to flip the switch back on, to actually caring. The selfish reasons were numerous, she missed her friend, she missed their days where they would just hang out…she had spent so much time working on making him a better person that she wasn’t willing to admit defeat. Of course there were the non-selfish reasons as well. She wanted to make sure that he didn’t expose vampires to the general public, she didn’t want to see others get hurt…but those weren’t the real reasons…the selfish ones were the reasons she did it, the non-selfish reasons were simply the way she justified it.
Now however, there were a whole different set of reasons. Stefan had made a life here, a home, and a family. He had always had Damon sure and they were blood (which was odd even in vampire land) but Elena was his family. She loved him without question and he loved her.
Her thoughts were disturbed as she heard an unknown voice saying hey. She looked over and saw that during the time when she had been immersed in her thoughts a man had shown up at the quarry. She could tell right away that his scent was off, but he wasn’t a vampire, a werewolf nor a human. Hmm, something she hadn’t seen before? This was actually a surprise to the blonde vampire being that she was over 350 years old and was fairly worldly…however that didn’t mean she knew everything and she would be the first to admit that.
“Hello there.” She stated simply, looking him up and down, trying to get a sense of what he was…and who he was. “What are you doing out here at this time?” She asked him, curious to see what his answer would be.

Michael offered her a half smile, looking down at her from the cliff he stood on. He took a turn, the turn had much more of a military feel then Michael cared to admit, but he was trained well. He knew his place, and he knew what was expected. When you turn, you turn in a cretin way. One foot in front of the other. He twisted, and took a few steps, so he could more easily climb down to her level. Which he did. He jumped down a few times, until he was no longer looking down at her, but rather looking at her. Well she was shorter then he was, so he still looked down, but he was hardly a whole person taller.
"What's wrong with the time?" Michael asked, clearing his throat a little as he moved closer, to a more acceptable placing. "It's a perfectly acceptable time to be out and about." Michael asked, unsure of why she'd ask such a question. In Michael's mind, whenever he was up, meant everyone should be up. So an acceptable hour, means being awake when Michael was. You wanna talk about unacceptable, wake Michael up. Pretty simple. Michael was out, because he was out, even if it had been 3 in the morning, he'd answer in the same way. It was acceptable because.. it's Michael.
"Most normal people have to get up before now to go into work." Michael pointed out, as he let himself fall sideways. As he fell he twisted so he might land on his back. But before he could go to far the rock wall had caught his fall, and he stood leaning on it instead. His arms moved to cross lazily over his chest. Yeah. She was a weird one. Even without Micheal's weird all about me thing, it was an acceptable hour. So what the heck was with the question? Werido.

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She couldn’t help but laugh a bit, her laugh sounding like wind chimes but at the same time it had an almost husky sound to it…it was an odd description but it honestly was the best way to describe it. She would admit that her comment about being out at this time did sound odd but it hadn’t been the reasoning for the question. “Okay, good point.” She conceded. “That wasn’t the way I wanted to phrase that question but either way the question still remains…what are you doing out at the Quarry in the middle of the morning.” She asked him, clearly curious. “Like you said, most people are on their way to work, or even already at work…so why aren’t you?” She asked him, her lips tilted up into a smile.
She watched as he seemed to almost fall and she thought about rushing to catch him but noted with a grin that he had done it on purpose, catching himself on the hard rock wall and stood seemingly lazy against it, his arms crossed over his chest. Hmm, seemed to her that he was one who liked to have things the way he wanted and wouldn’t put up with anything different. She wasn’t sure why she got that vibe from him but she would admit that she did…and for some reason she liked it.
“Well since you clearly already think I’m a weirdo I figure the best thing to do for this weirdo is to introduce herself. I’m Lexi.” She told him, walking over slowly and standing in front of him, though not at all crowding him. She didn’t know this man, even though from what she could see they could actually get along in some way since she was also the way that she liked things like she liked them and nothing else was good enough. They could either be at each other’s throats or be semi decent friends if he was willing…it all just depended on the way things went down.
Waiting to see if he would introduce himself she kicked a rock with the heel of her boot, watching as it flew and hit the water within the quarry. She noted the large splash it made before turning her attention back to the man whose name she still didn’t know. Most would call her blunt, asking for an explanation on why he was here and then asking for his name…or at least letting him know hers. However that was exactly who Lexi was and she would do nothing to change it.

Michael narrowed his eyes at her as she let out a hardly laugh. He was generally confused. She peeked his interest, yet something about her told Micheal to keep his guard on high alert. She was someone important? Maybe that was the vibe he got. She at the very least believed she was someone of importance. It was weird, but he got quite the vibe from her. She was smart, he could tell, a pretty face, one she would use. He was sure she could work that face in her favor. But she had a hidden.. power of some kind. Maybe daddy worked for the government and had quite a bit of money. Or maybe she was a fighter, as secret as it might be. Something about her, made Micheal keep on his toes. He was not expecting her to laugh as she did. So it caught him slightly off guard. But his wall was still up, ready and able to protect himself should that kind of need arise.
"That's a very personal question. You should buy me dinner first." Michael joked. He was not one to just hand out personal information like that. But he felt an exception coming on. "I don't have a 9 to 5 job. I tend to make my own hours." He confessed. "So I come here on my off days." Michael admitted. Why did it matter why he was here? It was a free country. It was public property. People often went hiking around here. So he was here because he liked it here. Pretty simple really.
"Fair enough." Michael answered her with a half smile. "Name's Mike.....Friends call me MJ." He answered. Assuming she a friend, he'd allow her to call him MJ, despite the weird.... vibe they got from each other. Still though his statement was a Lie. Friends called him Michael, he only went by Mike, though most called him MJ seeing as he hated Mike with a passion. He hated the nickname but it was a smart idea really. He always went by Michael, never Mike, hardly MJ, though completely changing his name was what most would do. Michael did what most did not. He kept his name. No one would think someone on the run would keep his or her name. It was a risk, but clearly it had paid off. He was hiding in plain sight. A totally different tact then the others.
((Bahahah you know me all too well! ))

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -Something about him told her that he wasn’t at all what he appeared to be. She had been around for a long time, over three hundred and fifty years, and she had never sensed someone like him. She knew for a fact that he wasn’t a vampire. She could sense a vampire a mile away, something that even today Stefan or Damon could do. It was something that had always irked the two Salvatore brothers as they couldn’t sense one another in the way that she could. However it wasn’t something that all vampires could do. She had learned to do so over the years because she had needed that particular skill to survive, something that neither of them up until recently had needed. She made a mental note to try and teach them how to do it before turning her attention back to the matter at hand.
She had run into her fair share of werewolves over the years as well, though she would admit to having steered clear of them on full moons. She could sense them in their human form though luckily enough for her she had never had to deal with them while transformed. Either way she knew that this wasn’t a werewolf. Nor was he a full blown human…and yet there was something human about him. Take away the fact that he looked human, because really, they all did for the most part…however there was something human about him that didn’t have to do with his looks…yet there was something else there as well. She could sense the power on him but couldn’t figure out where it was coming from so to speak, and it was irking her more than she cared to admit at the moment.
One of her flaws she supposed was that she didn’t like not knowing things.
She snorted at the buying him dinner comment…so many comebacks that she couldn’t decide what she wanted to use first. “Two things…one…you wouldn’t want to eat my diet.” She told him honestly, though throwing in a wink that made her eyes light up and her dimples show even more because of the smile on her face, just to let him think she was joking. “Two, aren’t you the man? Shouldn’t it be you buying me dinner?” She asked him, this time with a mock hurt look on her face. Ooh, she was having fun with this one.
“Alrighty MJ, I can’t see you standing for someone calling you Mike. And I’ll tell you a secret since you confessed a pretty big one by giving me a nickname.” She told him sarcastically, but her face showed that she was only kidding. “My real name is Alexia but anyone whose called me that hasn’t lived long enough to do it again, so most people tend to stick with calling me Lexi…safer for all of those around.” She told him, though a part of it was true. She had never killed anyone who had called her Alexia but that didn’t mean she liked the name, and would not hesitate to kicking someone’s ass who had called her that.
Just ask Damon.
“So MJ, you said you make your own hours…what exactly is it that you do?”

Michael raised a brow at her. Letting his eyes glance down the whole of her body taking in her figure. She was athletic that was for sure, but skinny. She was normal really. He let his eyes wonder back up to her's when she continued to her second point. A diet. She hardly needed to be on a diet, shoot if asked he would have told her to go out and eat a big bowl of grease and fat just to gain a little weight. She could sue the few extra pounds. But he'd leave that point alone, her next comment was much more.... pressing.
He could not help the smile that spread over his face. "Civility is dead sweetheart." He responded to her statement. Well it kind of was for the most part. "I'll tell ya what, I'll split the check 50/50 but that's about all I can do for ya." He added with a half shrug. Why not. He could be nice like that if he wanted to. Anyway only one person could control his wallet, that was Maria and she was not here. So it was all his, and he had money to save. Anyway women on diets, from what he knew diets were expensive, and he was not going to dish out that kind of money. Not that he would go to dinner with her, he had his wife waiting for him somewhere.... wherever she was, he'd find her. But for now the ring is the only thing he could remember her buy. Anyway it did not hurt to play with strangers. He was just trying to get inside that head of her's. She peeked his interest.
Michael answered with a less amused smile. Oh if only she knew. "Ah." Michael responded. "Alexia" He tested it on his lips. He had half a mind to call her that, but he figured she'd do a whole lot of yelling at him if he continued. Of course, she clearly protested the use of that name. But still... depending on how far this 'relationship' went, he'd test her push her, he'd even use the name a few times, just to watch her blood boil. He seemed to enjoy making people squirm. Though she clearly was not a women who let people walk all over her. Still this would be a very long friendship.
Michael stood back up, getting his shoulders square with the ground. "Well Lexi." He stated, putting a little bit of emphasis on her nickname. He could call her that. Anyway he was not ready to be yelled at. "Your in the presence of a United States Marine." He said bowing his head ever so slightly. Of course his job was to serve and protect the public, and she was the pubic, so he was here for her. Indirectly at least. He let his shoulders get square with the ground once more in the familiar stance. Michael's hands came together real quick, as he began to pull off the gloves that sat on his hands. Once he took the off, the wedding band glittered in the sunlight. He shoved part of the gloves in his back pocket, leaving the fingers hanging out. "I'm at your service." He added sticking out his hand to shake hers. He of course was not really at her service, but he was being... well Michael.

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She could see the speculation when she claimed that she was on a diet and she couldn’t help but laugh. She had gotten that look more than once anytime she let on that she was on a special diet. But really, what was she supposed to say? Usually she gave that excuse when she was asked out by someone so really, was she really supposed to say “sorry I can’t go out with you, I only drink blood and I highly doubt you’re offering to tap a vein”? Yeah, she highly doubted that would go over well at all. Then again with the Twilight craze that had been going on for awhile you could never fully tell if someone would run away screaming or start begging you to turn them…but that was definitely a different conversation for a different day.
She laughed at his comment about civility being dead. “Civility or Chivalry? Then again I have a feeling both are dead which is a shame, but I’m just curious.” She asked, her face clearly showing that she was loving the challenge that he was giving her. She didn’t often get to banter as they were and she really missed it. Sure she and Stefan did all the time but with her trying to get him back onto the straight and narrow there hadn’t been a whole lot of time for joking and just having fun…something that she really missed.
She fingered the ring that kept her from bursting into flames, shaking her head a bit as if to clear it. “Honestly I think it’s better if we stay right where we are, skipping the dinner thing.” She stated honestly. “I’m really not hungry.” Which in this case was probably a good thing. Not that she fed on humans anymore because she didn’t; she drank from blood bags as she had done for years, that that wasn’t the point. “Besides, you’ve most likely got someone waiting for you at home so I’m going to keep myself right at this quarry enjoying the breeze and the sun…if you want to go get something to eat that’s all on you, but I’m staying right here.” She told him, tilting her head to the side as if in a challenge.
Hearing what he did for a living she nodded her head in appreciation. She had always admired those who served whatever country they were from. They gave up a lot in order to protect those who couldn’t or wouldn’t protect themselves and for that she had always been grateful. “Thank you for your service.” She stated, her manners from the time she had grown up some three hundred and fifty years ago showing through. She saw a glittering on his hand as he took off his gloves before nodding at the ring that was on his left hand, signaling that either he was married or at least had someone that was waiting for him somewhere before nodding at her own. Hers wasn’t a wedding ring by any stretch of the imagination, but no one had to know that. Her mate had been killed before she had been brought back and while no one knew that, that didn’t mean that she still didn’t have him occupying her heart.
“So is your wife in the service as well or…?” She asked, curious but not wanting to come off as rude…
At least not at the moment. She was a hopeless romantic so anyone who was loyal to their significant others, something that with him wearing a ring when his wife wasn’t around showed that he at least somewhat was, made her respect him even more.

"Civility id dead. But now that you mention it. Chivalry is as well." Michael answered. He meant to say chivalry but some how it came out totally wrong, lucky for him both words fit kind of, and he figured he'd stick with his mistake. Why the heck not. But still he'd just kind of roll with it. He might as well. Why stop and change it up. He made the mistake and he was going to follow through with said mistake. That was that. Even if it made no sense what so ever, he'd go for it anyway. Just to be that guy. He was always that guy.
"Oh an I was so looking forward to being on the in with your diet." Michael added with his fake amusement. Yeah... pst. Honestly he would not go to dinner with her diet or not. His head was too often on another to be much of a dinner partner. He'd be too distracted really. Anyway Michael was not that social. So a dinner would not be an option. Even if Maria were here, still she'd have to drag his happy ass out. He was a home body really. Rather be inside his home or on his bike, that's just about it. So had she wanted dinner, good luck to her.
Michael looked a bit confused at her comment. Who was waiting at home for him? But he looked down to his gloved hand and smiled softy, he could see the slight outline of the ring on his finger. Oh... yes.. he did. Only she was not anywhere near his home, no where near him. "Yeah... I'm sure she'd kicked your ass two times over if she found you alone in my company." Michael said playing with the ring for a few moments. No really, Maria would kick his ass, she would not bother so much with the other women. But of if she knew he was talking to another women, hell would break lose, that's assuming she still had feelings for him. He just had no idea. A lot can change in five years. "Or on second thought.... I'd be the one with my ass handed to me." He said out loud though he did not really mean to say so it was more to himself. Yeah... Maria would kick his ass no matter which way he tried to explain it.
"Oh stop.. your making me blush." Michael said with a tilted smile. Shooing her with his hand for a minute in a mocking. He did not do it so much do it for his country, but that's what he was through and through. He was a military man, he thought like one acted like one, ate like one. He could not make a living doing anything but military. It was just in his blood, literally.
He chuckled slightly at the thought. "No. She is far from it." He said chuckling a bit again. He did not discredit the wife comment. He would let her think as she would. For he hoped Maria would be his wife someday. Well he never really wanted to get married married, but if Maria had wanted it he would grant it. So wife, he'd accept that. "She's a singer. Currently on tour." Micheal added, covering why she was not here, and why she'd be gone a while. It was the perfect cover really. "You?" He asked not sure if she was married or what, but he'd let her answer whatever she would. He was not going to push it. He knew his relationship was complicated and he often did not want to talk about it so he never brought it up. It was only fair to give her a chance to tell her story. Anyway it might be fun pretending Maria was his wife.

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -Rolling her eyes she laughed. It was true unfortunately that both civility and chivalry was dead. This was one of the reasons that even before she had met her mate that she had been single. She had been raised in a time that men respected their women and treated them as they should be treated. Now men didn't give a damn about their women as long as they gave them what they wanted. Men were above all selfish creatures in her opinion and she had honestly only seen a select few that she trusted. "Unfortunately that's because men are selfish assholes." She stated flippantly, knowing that he could take offense to that but she had a feeling that he wouldn't...just something about him told her that.
She may be wrong, but she doubted it.
"Trust me when I say sweetness, you don't want to try my diet." She stated, laughing a bit at the thought of the straight laced (or so she thought) military man trying her diet of blood bags that she carried around with her in a cooler. It wasn't the best way to drink it since it was cool but it worked as well as anything to keep a vampire sustained. She didn't state those particular thoughts out loud but they did make her laugh. Again, couldn't imagine him being a vampire, then again she had seen weirder things over her three hundred and fifty plus years.
She laughed at the comment about his wife kicking her ass had she found them alone together. She highly doubted she would be successful but she could understand someone protecting someone they viewed as theirs. She had found out after being brought back that Lee had gone after Damon and had only kept him alive because of Elena. She understood Elena’s reasoning for doing so but a part of her wished that Lee could have avenged her death. Lee had told her what Elena had said, about her not wanting him to become a killer, and she was right, but a bitter part of her wished that Damon had ceased to exist.
His later comment about getting his ass handed to him seemed about right and she nodded. "Seems like you're wife and I would get along pretty well...she seems to wear the pants in your relationship." She stated, winking at him in jest. She loved women he took charge, as she was clearly one of those women herself. She couldn’t stand those that basically just waited for a man to take care of them…she didn’t like weakness when it came to that. She liked those who took care of themselves.
She wanted to ask more about if his wife wasn't with him then where was she, but she didn't want to pry. Instead she answered his question with two simple words that rang out in the silent air. "He died." She stated simply, not giving away the pain she still felt at thinking of losing her mate.

"I cannot disagree there." Micheal added. It was true Michael could be the poster child for men now a days. He was selfish and an ass hole. But he knew how to treat a women. Or he did now. In High school he was still trying to find his way. But being without the women he loved for five years, changed him. He would never ever treat her as he did. No. Now she would be nothing less then his Queen. She would have anything and everything she wanted. He would buy her wanted, do whatever she asked. He'd be her slave really. And he'd love every moment of it. He'd rather be a slave to her then go without.
"I've never been on a diet in my life, and I wont start now." He commented. "Glad we are on the same page." He added on to his statement. He found himself laughing a little along with her, though he was not really in on the joke. But still when she laughed he almost felt the need to do so as well. So he did.
"I can accept that." He added. Though it was hardly true. He wore the pants and he made that painfully clear. But of course that was only the out ward appearance. Really she made all the shots. She made the orders behind closed doors and he implicated them out in the real world. Looking at the two of them you would think Maria was just a lost puppy without Michael. But really it was the other way around. He just took charge because of his weird manhood-nes or whatever it is that was wrong with him.
Then it got quiet... too quiet. He knew as soon as the words left his mouth that it was a huge mistake. The worst one ever. Yep, her answer just made it all a little too real. "Oh shit." He answered, yeah. He did not mean to bring up such memories or anything. "Ugh.... sorry to hear that." He comment, though she seemed really.. almost okay with it. So he figured it was a long time ago. But she was very young so really it could not be more then a few years. But Micheal would be a total wreck... "If you don't mind me asking how long ago was it?" He could not help but ask. Michael did not have the best social skills, so asking her about this where painful for her, was normal for him. He just wanted to know, and to find answers he had to ask. So he'd ask. Fuck being rude, he wanted to know. There comes the selfish.

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She laughed when he commented on never being on a diet. "Not many men do." She stated, thinking about the few men that she knew who had been on a diet so to speak. She knew they were talking about two completely different things but it still amused her as human men and vampire men were not much different if she thought about it. The only man that she knew how had ever 'dieted' the way that she was talking about was Stefan. Granted their diets weren't exactly the same as Stefan tended to drink from animals (something that she was trying to wean him off of slowly as it kept him weaker than most other vampires) and she drank from blood bags (which was what she was aiming for with Stefan), they still both denied going to their natural blood source which was directly from humans.
She smiled at his apology, waving it off like it was no big deal even though her mate’s death was something that haunted her and would continue to do so until she herself perished (for the third time technically) from this earth. “It was a long time ago.” She stated, though it hadn’t been long at all. Only a few months since her mate was killed by orders of an original, though she had no idea which original it was. Her mate had been turned by her a hundred years before, having fallen in love with him when he was still a human. It was the main reason (other than the fact that she liked to see her best friend happy) that she continued to help Elena and Stefan as best as she could.
She knew that she would have to at least explain a bit though she really had no idea how to do so without giving away all of her secrets. Lexi had never been the most guarded individual in the world, something that got on Stefan and Lee’s nerves over the years. Most vampires hid by blending in, while she hid by standing out. Most vampires cringed away from all things ‘vampire’ related, while she wore shirts that clearly stated what she was. Granted no one in their right mind would think that a vampire would broadcast it with a vampire shirt such as the one she wore that stated that vampires sucked, but still, it was the principle of the matter.
“He was killed in a car accident a few years ago.” She stated, a bold faced lie but really what could she say? She couldn’t tell him that an original vampire had come after him a few months ago because of trying to help out those on the other side, so she figured going with something that was common in the human world would suffice better than something even close to the truth. She usually would have said he died fighting for his country since technically he died fighting an original to save them, but with M.J. being in the military there was too much that could go wrong with that statement.
Before she could say anything else her text message tone went off. Pulling her cell phone out she noted a 911 text from Elena telling her to get home. "Shit I gotta go. Hopefully I'll see you around MJ." She told him before speeding off, not bothering to hide her vampire speed as she didn't have time.
