- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -Sighing as she exited the library she breathed a sigh of relief. She had just finished a mixer that the library was putting on for the start of term. It was for new and old employees alike to get to know one another. It had been billed as casual but she was glad she dressed up slightly as most everyone had as well. Slipping on a white and silver dress paired with a pair of black skinny jeans and a pair of dressy sandals. Paired with her one of her hundreds of pairs of sunglasses (this was not an exaggeration...she had a slight obsession), her bracelet that proudly displayed her heritage, two rings and a necklace, she fit the casual yet still classy bill perfectly.
Her blonde hair was half up and half down, a slight curl to it but nothing too insane. It was difficult for her to keep her hair in anything too elaborate as she only had her motorcycle so had to be aware of helmet hair, something she strove not to ever have if she could help it. Straddling her bike she slid her helmet on and kick started her bike, driving off after waving to a few of her colleagues. It was odd to be known as an adult as she had never been treated that way growing up. She had been fairly babied for the most part and while it was a bit annoying, she would admit to loving it sometimes as well.
Feeling the wind in her face made her feel as if she was either flying or running, either one would work for her. She had never been one for enclosed spaces and her love of running and driving her motorcycle was a testament to that. She hated having to be in any type of enclosed space, whether it be a car, a classroom, anything. She could deal with it for short periods of times but after that she started to get jumpy. Even at night she had to sleep with all her windows open (something that annoyed those around her more often than not).
Pulling into the parking lot in which was the main entrance to the beach she parked her bike underneath a tree, placing her helmet on the handle bars and pocketing her keys. It was not completely dark yet, more like dusk and she could desperately use the fresh air after being cooped up in the library for the past couple of hours before heading home. Seeing a bonfire down the beach she remembered that she had been invited to hang out with a few people tonight, and yet she doubted she would see them. They had been friends for years and she herself only knew one of them... She wasn't one to intrude so instead she simply walked down the beach the opposite way.
She wasn't that girl.

---------------------- ---------------------- Oz had driven his van down with his equipment earlier in the evening. The old thing was painted some shade of lime green with blue highlights, it had come that way, again why he thought of the mystery machine every time he saw it. He had drug out a tarp and set up his amp and brought out his two guitars, one acoustic, one electric. He set them carefully on the tarp along with his amp. Next step was the bonfire, which he started with practiced ease. Living in the forest taught you quite a few survival skills, fires were one of the most important so he had gotten good at them quick. No one had arrived yet as he sunk down onto one of the driftwood logs to wait. People would show when they did.
He wore a blue tee-shirt that bore a faded Dingo's Ate my Baby logo. Over it was a light sheepskin jacket. A subtle jab at his own condition and a joke for anyone sharp enough to pick it up. His pants were the usual baggy jeans and his worn chuck taylors covered his feet. It wasn't exactly a nice get up, but he wasn't looking to impress anyone. If they were going to be impressed they would be, with our without nice threads.
He picked up his electric guitar and plugged it into the free standing amp. He flipped the amp on and tuned the guitar. He tuned it feeling himself relax. It was good to get a chance to play for people. It was a string of his old life, the life before the wolf. It was something he wanted back more then any other part. His music had been his life. He was glad to be doing something that he loved. He had spent too much time playing to the night sky and not a single person. From what he could tell at least a few people were planning to come. It was going to be a good evening.
He hadn't been expecting Cara to show, it was one of those things he silently hoped for, but if it didn't happen he wouldn't be too torn up. He was about to strum a few chords out on his guitar when the wolf pushed against his skin. He lifted his gray eyes to stare across the beach wondering what set it off. When he caught the retreating back of a well dressed woman with curling blond locks. The wolf cried out recognition and he cocked his head. She was clearly walking in the other direction. He frowned, oddly unhappy about this development. If she hadn't come that would be one thing, but here she was, and there she went.
He set down his guitar and stood. With hardly a glance back, the beach wasn't too crowded at this point most people took off around the evening. So he didn't fear too much for his guitar. He slowed as he closed the difference. ”Cara!” He slowed down staring at her back. ”I know I am not the best at guitar, but I didn't think it would send you running.” He said matter-of-factly. He shot her a small smile, ”If your not going to join that's cool but I was kind of hoping to see you there. In a non-stalker nice guy sort of way.” ----------------------

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She could feel the sad flipping behind her as she walked in her slightly dressy sandals on the beach. She rolled her eyes at herself, knowing that she might as well have gone barefoot as no matter what shoes she wore she would fling sand everywhere so why she bothered to wear any she wasn't quite sure. Moving further towards the water she felt herself relax a bit as the waves crashed against the beach, not quite up to where she was walking but close enough to where the sand was damp so it was easier to walk on. She briefly thought about taking her sandals off but didn't bother...they were already full of sand anyway, so what was the point really?
The moon reflected against the water, a sight that never failed to relax her. She knew realistically she should probably hate the sight of the moon, whether it was full or not...but she had always found comfort in it. The full moon wasn't her favorite for obvious reasons but the crescent moon which was what was currently reflecting off the water was her favorite as it allowed her to see the stars and a few clouds that the night hadn't swallowed up yet. The slight breeze from being this close to the waves was comforting against her face, ruffling her curls around her shoulders in a gentle wave. Even the wolf inside of her was calm in that moment as she stared out into the vast ocean, being completely relaxed by the sound of the water crashing against the land.
Feeling the wolf within start she clearly had spoken too soon. She felt a yearning inside her that she had only felt once before and before she could even think of what to do she heard her name being called out from the beach behind her. Turning around, her blonde hair almost shimmering from the light of the crescent moon she saw Oz coming towards her. The wolf tried to get her to move closer but she stood her ground, not wanting to make any movements towards or away. Hearing his comment about not the best guitar player out there made her laugh as she ducked her head, tucking a piece of her blonde hair behind her ear. "Hi Oz." She whispered. "As for your guitar playing, I didn't even hear you start to rest assured that it didn't send me running...the people at the library did." She stated with a wink.
"I just got done with a mixer with my new co-workers so decided to get some fresh air before heading home. Figured I'd let you hang out with your friends...maybe try and patch things up with your ex?" She asked him, bumping his shoulder with hers in what was supposed to be a friendly manner but the wolf inside her howled at the electricity that shot through her when she touched him. She hoped she hadn't made any noise in acknowledging it but she couldn't really tell.

---------------------- ---------------------- Oz shot her his token lopsided smile and shook his head, ”Ah well. If you listen, and it makes you want to flee, I mean go for it. I mean I'm used to the whole groupie thing, but running would be new I think.” He cocked his head. Thinking glanced back towards the fire and his guitars, mostly making sure they were still there. Content they were he turned his attention back to Cara. He didn't know how to respond to her running from folks at the library. If it were Sunnydale he might have understood. Werewolf running from that gang wouldn't exactly be unheard of.
Her comment of reconnecting with Willow threw him. The bump more so. If not for the tumult that already started in his head, the wolfs pushing against his skin might have been annoying. However thinking about Willow did funny things to him. Combined with the shock of the contact with Cara nearly gave him chills. If not for the sheepskin coat she might have seen goosebumps crest his skin where she had tapped him. He stared at her a moment trying to figure out words. His eyes were the only clue to the storm raging within him.
He took a few deep breaths, mostly the breath of ocean's rolling, deep into the pit of his belly through his nose, and then out through his mouth. It calmed him, though the wolf rattled harder against his skin, ”Ya well that's not exactly going to happen. See last time I saw her she was kind of a lesbian.” After what he had told her the day before he figured she could put to and two together. Willow had left him for a woman.
He ran his hand along the back of his neck, ”I mean sometimes, I think about her sure. But I was alone traveling the world and she hurt me-..” He trailed off his gray eyes flicking back to her as he realized he should probably just stop talking. Hell he hardly knew her. The wolf was trusting of the girl, and because of that he was talking too much. He frowned a little. ”Right. Getting a little too talkative over here. I'm going to back out before I say something stupid. If you want to listen come on over. I still want to hear you sing if you got it in you. My friends won't mind when they get here, besides it would be nice to have a new opinion.” He shrugged.
He took a couple awkward steps backwards and, leaving it to faith she would come with him, he sauntered back to the bonfire not wanting to leave his things alone any longer. He sat back down and finished tuning the electric guitar before picking up the acoustic and tuning it slowly. His eyes lifted to Cara watching her quietly. He looked down as he strummed the guitar and with one final adjustment he was ready. ----------------------

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -He definitely had a sense of humor she could get used to was the first thought in her head after he made the comment about groupies. "Got a lot of groupies do ya?" She asked him with a quirk of an eyebrow. "Besides shouldn't it be a good thing that you're not used to people running away from you anytime someone hears you play? I would think that would be a good thing, but if you want to experience it I can try my best?" She asked him with a small laugh. She could usually match someone's sense of humor, though she had a feeling that Oz was better at it than she was.
She had a feeling that she pushed it too far by making the comment about his ex girlfriend and bumping him with her shoulder. Damn she needed to get her head on straight. The wolf inside her desperately wanted free in order to...she didn't know what it wanted to do but clearly it was something that she wasn't going with. If she didn't know any better she would say that the wolf wanted a mate but that couldn't be the case...could it? Nope, no way, she refused to even go there as she didn't understand a damn thing about werewolf mating rituals...hell she didn't know anything about the human ones so she'd leave all of them to those who were more experienced with the ways of love, lust, mating, and whatever else you wanted to call it.
At least that's what she was trying to convince herself of. Desperately. She kept her face a mask, not wanting to show how surprised she was by the fact that it seemed as if his ex girlfriend had left him for another woman...something that she hadn't really expected to hear at all. She couldn't imagine leaving someone for someone else, but not only that, she couldn't imagine leaving someone from one gender to go to someone else of the opposite gender...that was way too weird even for her, and that was saying something since she was a werewolf so she was pretty used to weird.
"Oh." She simply stated, not sure what else to say to the matter. She really did have a way of stopping the damn party didn't she? She wanted to tell him that she understood, but she didn't...so instead she said nothing. Nodding her head at his parting statement she watched as he walked away. The wolf inside her howled at her to follow and yet she didn't. Instead she simply watched him sit down and tune his guitar. Her skin seemed to burn with the intensity of wanting to be near him and yet she fought it. She didn't belong in his world...didn't belong near him.
Seeing a blonde girl and a red head walk up she started, wondering which one was his ex girlfriend but refused to acknowledge her need to know. She noticed the blonde look at her and she turned away, staring back at the water. Maybe she should just leave. - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -The blonde slayer sighed as she walked down the beach. She had just left a faculty beach party a few hours earlier which explained her unusual outfit of a black sundress and black sandals. She usually didn’t venture out at night without pants and a t-shirt on as a sundress was definitely not contusive to attempting to slay vampires…but she worked with what she had at the moment and this was what fit in at the dinner she had been at. Her cross necklace that he had given her so many years ago hung around her neck and her clutch with her lip gloss, money, and stake was hanging loosely from her wrist…all in all she was the picture of ease though her body was actually tensed for a fight.
She looked out at the waves, trying not to get lost in her own thoughts though it was easier said than done. She turned her body around to watch the fading light dance over the ocean and as she stood there, her mind wandered to a dream she had dreamed so many years ago. She fought against the onslaught of memories but they seemed to come crashing down on her no matter if she wanted them there or not.
How did you find me here? If I was blind, I would see you. Stay with me. Forever. That's the whole point. I'll never leave. Not even if you kill me.
She could still remember the feeling of being wrapped in his arms as the sunlight beat down on them and the waves crashed all around them. It should have been her first sign that it was a dream because he couldn’t be in the sunlight, but she had been so desperate for any sign that he had been real at one time that she had relished the experience…though waking up had been particularly horrible as she had woken up in her dingy little LA apartment.
Buffy shook her head, clearing her thoughts away from the dream when she heard footsteps and noted her best friend had arrived. Smiling at her she nodded her head to where Oz was seated. Walking over she grinned. "Hey stranger." she told the werewolf. She had always liked Oz, though they had never been really close. He had always been a good guy and she had felt for him when he had come back to learn about Willow and Tara. Looking up she noticed a blonde girl watching them and tilted her head as the girl seemed to start and turn around when she realized she had been caught.
Hmmm...seems like Oz had an admirer.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Willow was driving as fast as she could trying to make her way to the beach, she was going there to meet up with Buffy. It was a nice day to be at the beach too, the weather was great just the right amount of breeze. It wasn’t too hot out nor was it chilly, they really were over due for getting some rest and relaxation. They needed this time to have some fun and hang out, Willow couldn’t wait she was so excited she felt like it was taking forever to get there. Willow was there and parked the car, the parking lot was pretty full which meant there were a lot of bon fires and things going on. Another thing she just loves to do at the beach, it was just like old times when the whole gang use to go. Buffy, riley,(Buffy’s Boyfriend at the time) Xander, Anya, Dawn Tara and Willow, would all just hang out playing football while having a BBQ. Those really were they days that Willow still misses dearly, soon they all need to get together and go to the beach and do just that. That is when Xander gets his butt down here, Dawn isn’t busy with school and Buffy isn’t busy Slaying. Willow is lucky to be meeting up with her today as is, oh Buffy got time to do something is still a shocker. Then the Red head could see Buffy, it seemed as though she was talking with someone. When she took another look she could see more who it was now. “hey Oz is here.” She said while making her way over there to them. “Hey guys I see you too got requited, isn’t great Buffy Oz is back! So what are you guys talking about what’s up?” the witch asked with excitement in her voice. ---------------------- ---------------------- Oz didn't feel too bad when she didn't follow him. It was strange, the feelings that he could feel blossoming between them. Feelings he hadn't been open to since he had left for the last time. He shifted on his log and forced himself to look away. He was starting to look a bit creepy staring at her so intensely. It was about then Buffy made her entrance and he could cast his attention somewhere else.
He nodded his head in a greeting to her and stopped his strumming to focus. It was good to see her, it really was. There was a familiarity to it. Also there was far less fear now then there had once been. She wasn't going to stuff him full of silver, and he was no longer just a boy who could hardly wield a stake. He had figured out how to fight since then, he had learned so much. There was so much he still hadn't told anyone. His whole story was still fogged and difficult to piece through for himself, much less getting it out. Willow had been the only one who got the whole story on Tibet. The hardships and struggles he had endured. It had hurt finding out about Tera though. Right after that near perfect night.
He was about to see what had Buffy's attention when Willow herself came ambling up and he couldn't help the lopsided grin that slipped across his face. He knew it wasn't healthy, this thing he was holding inside. Still he couldn't let her go. Not just yet. She was an addiction. ”Not really talking yet. Just saying hello.” He said tapping his guitar, ”Though I was planning on playing some music. Though people started running before I even got a chord out. I figure my music hasn't gotten much better.” He shrugged lazily and glanced after Cara. He drew his eyes back quickly though, not wanting to draw unwanted attention to the girl.
”So everyone get tonight off to play at the beach?” He asked languidly.
- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -Rolling her eyes at her best friend who was clearly a bit too happy tonight she grinned. "Did you have one too many coffees again today young lady?" She asked with an exaggerated quirk of her eyebrow. She had known from the beginning that Willow didn’t tolerate caffeine the way that normal people did so giving her any soda, coffee, anything made her extremely hyper. She turned her head to wink at Oz, knowing that he would remember the many times they had to wait for her to come down off a sugar high before anything could get accomplished. Ahh, those were the days.
She noticed the blonde girl behind them was still staring towards the ocean, though something about her seemed to be focused on their group. She didn't know if she knew Oz or Willow for that matter, but if so why didn't she come over and talk to them? She thought about asking them but something told her not too. She knew she needed to keep an eye on her to make sure that nothing crazy went on but for the moment she wanted to relax. Taking the blanket that was curled up in her bag she spread it out and sat down, taking her shoes off and setting them next to her.
Hearing what Oz said she opened her mouth to comment but then she watched as he glanced over to Cara. Hmmm, something was going on that he didn't want them to know. She trusted Oz more than she trusted most people, especially considering that she hadn't seen him in close to four years, but she did. She knew him well enough to know that he would never do anything to harm Willow or anyone else she cared about so that made him trustworthy in her book. "Do you know her?" She finally asked, not being able to contain herself.
Grinning sheepishly she shrugged. "Your music and my tendency to talk before thinking are apparently up there on the 'need to practice' scale." She stated before her eyes widened at what she had said. "Not that your a bad guitarist, because you know you aren't and arg...shoot me now." She stated, lowering her head. Damn, she needed to stop talking.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Willow knew she was late but what else was new, she couldn’t help it she was trying to find something cute to wear. She wasn’t the best when it came to finding something to ware right away, that was more Buffy’s thing she was way better at that. She remembers in high school all the different clothes she would wear to school. Most the time she looked a lot better then Willow did in high school that’s for sure, she wasn’t that most stylish. But since then she has expanded her closet a little more, but she still is pretty crazy sometimes when it comes to what she wears. “No I didn’t have to many coffee’s if anything I need some, I have been so busy working on my new magic I haven’t gotten much sleep lately.” What she really had been doing was still looking into that spell for Angel and Buffy, which was coming a long a lot better now then it was. She just hopes soon she gets it. She was so happy to see that Oz was there with then, it really was going to be like old times. “Well good I guess I didn’t miss much of the conversation then, but that’s awesome that you are going to play some music. I would love to hear you play again its been so long that I have. And don’t listen to Buffy I think you sound great.” She loved watching Oz play there, was just something about watching him that drove her wild. She couldn’t help it he loved so cute he was when he played. “ But Yeah I’m so ready to have some fun tonight with you guys.” She then looked over at Buffy giving her a smile. “Oh about you Buffy I know you are in need for some much needed fun”Willow then could feel something a Aura that she had never felt before, it was a different feeling like when someone isn’t fully human. But the thing was it wasn’t coming from Oz it was from someone else. She then notice the girl that was behind him, but before she could ask Buffy took the words right out of her mouth. She quickly followed along. “yeah Oz is that a friend of yours, if so I would love to say hi. Bring her over here” She really didn’t love the idea of him being with a girl but she couldn’t show him that they just started talking again, plus she really couldn’t act like the jealous type. Especially with the fact that she didn’t even know who this girl was yet, but either way Willow really wanted to meet her and say hi. ---------------------- ---------------------- Oz chuckled at Willows near bursting excitement. He did remember well what Willow was like on coffee. There had been a short period when they were doing night research where she would drink even one cup and be bouncing off the walls for hours. Mind you there had been other times on the substance he remembered much more keenly, things that lead to darker rooms and—he cut off the thought. It wasn't a bad thing all the time. His smile faded to a slight frown as she mentioned not sleeping well. He still worried about Willow, more then he cared to admit. Perhaps he always would. The wolf wanted to protect her, to keep her as it's own. It was dangerous. She really did bring out the beast in him.
“I doubt anyone of the scoobies get's enough sleep. I know I used to go days without it when the world was ending.” He said with a shrug. It was true. When the research needed to be done, they did it no matter what the time. He had grown accustomed to very little sleep. Even if it had impacted his grades. Not that he really cared. He had still been recruited by all the major names in colleges. Yet he had decided not to go, he had chosen to stay with Willow at the local college. The memory panged in his heart and he let it go quickly. Tonight wasn't for his wounded soul. Tonight was about enjoying time with his old friends.
He chuckled as Buffy tried to recover from her slip up and Willow did her best to smooth it over, “No. It's fair. There was a lot of sucking in Dingo.” He said placidly clearly not caring. He had always been the first to critique his own music. So hearing others do it didn't get him down. Besides they never would have come to all his shows if he had been so terrible. Well Willow might have, but he doubted Buffy would have put up with the noise.
He nodded his head in agreement to the idea of fun. He could use some real fun. It had been ages since he had done anything simply for the reason of enjoyment, and not training. He was ready for it. Tonight was going to be freeing. Then their attention turned to Cara. He turned his head to stare over at her and shrugged in a very Oz passing something off gesture, “I met her in the woods out running. We talked a while and I invited her to come hear me play. She isn't sure she wants to invade on my friend time though.”
A faint light of amusement danced in his eyes, “I told her you guys wouldn't mind, but I think she is a bit intimidated. Or maybe a bit shy. Can't tell really. I don't know her that well.” He glanced back over and shook his head as if it didn't matter. She could hang out over by the waves if she wanted to. That was her choice and he wasn't going to force anything on them. It wasn't that big a deal and he wasn't going to drag her over if it would make her uncomfortable. “She will come on her own if she wants to.” He affirmed, not wanting Cara to feel overwhelmed or unhappy. She was the first sane werewolf he had met since Romania. He wanted her to feel safe around him, and a part of him wanted to keep an eye on her to make sure she was truthful about her cage. More the former then the later though.
He also felt the experience might be awkward for Willow. He knew he shouldn't care. That they hurt each other so often he should avoid Willow, but he didn't want to hurt her any more. He was sick of the pain it caused watching her break. He hated himself when he hurt her, and he disliked that he still cared so much that her feelings were one of the first things he considered. It was troubling. “Well unless someone else is coming I might start playing here what do you think?” ----------------------

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -Buffy tensed a bit when Willow commented on not being able to sleep much having been working on developing her magic. She had honestly thought that Willow was powerful enough with the whole magic thing and she would be the first to admit that it worried her. She knew she had counted on her using it more than once during the First debacle but that didn't mean that it didn't worry her. After what had happened after Tara had been killed she had been against it more than she had even realized. Personally she wished that the redhead had a mentor of someone while she had been working on developing it over the years but after Jenny Calendar had been killed there had been no one around to help her.
Laughing at Oz’s statement which seemed to break up the tension she nodded in a knowing way. “I know the feeling. I think the longest I went was over a week with about an hour of sleep in between there sometime. It was a nightmare but what can ya do. Unfortunately the forces of evil don’t really care about nap time.” She stated with a shrug, not being ignorant just a simple honest statement.
Rolling her eyes at her excited best friend she laughed. "I didn't mean that he didn't sound good...clearly my foot likes to live in my mouth." She told her before nodding. "You're right, fun definitely sounds like something I need. I wish I had one day off where it was sunny, just one. Every day while I'm stuck in my office it's gorgeous out, but it seems every weekend it rains. I need a tan." She stated absentmindedly, motioning to her pale skin. She was a California girl at heart and desperately missed being able to soak up the rays.
Hearing Willow ask about the blonde girl too she simply quirked an eyebrow, interested to see how Oz would respond. His response was casual enough, though something lurked behind it. "In the woods hmm?" She asked, clearly interested by trying not to show it. It seemed like a strange place to meet a girl, especially one who looked like that one did. "She doesn't need to be shy around us, though I can see why she would be." She told him, shrugging before nodding her head at his idea of playing. "We need something to break up the monotony, so play for us Argentina." She stated with a laugh.

- - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - - -Angel was a thinker. He usually thought pretty hard before most things he did, although this wasn’t always the case with Buffy, it usually worked out pretty well for him. Earlier today he’d awoken…in the morning and it had been the strangest feeling. No longer was he limited to the shadows of nighttime now that he had his daylight ring and it was completely strange. It was one of the strangest feelings to wake up during the time when normal people (humans) woke up. Instead of complete silence, people were already bustling about the house. When he’d gone into the kitchen to make himself a mug of pig’s blood for breakfast, Faith had already been up and making her an omelet. It kind of surprised him that she could cook at all, though she told him she’d learned how to from a television show. They had sat at the kitchen table together and eaten both of their breakfast’s, though hadn’t talked much. They didn’t really need to, there wasn’t much to say lately.
Throughout the day he found himself getting quite antsy. He knew for a fact that it would be pointless to go patrolling during this time of the day as ninety-nine percent of vampires didn’t have daylight rings. So he had mulled around the house, showering and getting ready, training a bit in the gym downstairs. Finally an idea struck him of what he could do today. Why not go out hunting anyways? He knew for a fact that creatures loved to live in the caves near the beach, a place he still hadn’t gone since coming here. He wasn’t sure if anyone else In the house had made a sweep through the caves but figured he would at least give it a shot. Being awake during the day had a lot of possibilities, but without the one person he wanted to share that daylight with, it seemed that he was a bit bored.
Suiting up with a sword and a few stakes in his sleeves, he headed out for the caves. Maybe he should have told someone where he was going, but maybe he didn’t want them to know. Upon entering the caves, he began to head north through them, keeping an eye out all around him. After a half hour or so of searching he finally heard some ruckus in the dead end part of the cave. Watching from the shadows, he noticed there were about eleven or so vampires who had made the caves their nest. While he was a very confident fighter, he wasn’t sure whether trying to fight eleven or not would be suicide. Most likely….yes, it would be. Therefore he figured he’d go back to the house, grab Faith, and come back later. However, it was too late for that, because they’d seen him. Eyes widened as he realized he’d been seen and he immediately turned around and began to head out.
Bam. Knocked right into a rather large, and twelfth, vampire that had been standing right behind him. Angel stumbled back and managed to swing his sword at the same time, taking the large vampire’s head off. Turning on his running shoes, he took off outside the cave. Unluckily for him, he realized the sun had gone down while he’d been inside the caves. Luckily for the other vampires, they now could follow him out of the cave. With all eleven of them on his heels he made a mad sprint towards the beach. He wasn’t necessarily trying to run away completely, but at least get into a more spread out area where he could fight better. And then as he looked further ahead, he noticed that some people were having a concert on the beach. And what had Angel done for these vampires? He had brought them to an all you can eat buffet. God dammit.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~It was the truth most of the Scooby’s didn’t get much sleep, Buffy didn’t even know what sleep was anymore. Willow keep’s trying to tell her she needs it but it just goes out one in ear and out the other. Plus its no good when it comes to telling Buffy what to do, she doesn’t listen she just really does her own thing. But that’s why they all love her so much, and they wouldn’t want her to change for the world. Willow didn’t really get why Oz felt that Dingos sucked, she didn’t think they did at all. But then again maybe she was so dumb and in love she didn’t even realized it. “well even if you guys did suck we had fun seeing you guys play.” She said with a quick smile. Willow really was interested in meeting Oz new friend, she seemed like she was nice. But it did have Willow it bit worried and jealous, was this mystery girl a new girlfriend to Oz? She was kind of worried that she might be, But she knew that it was to be expected eventfully. The best thing she could do now is meet this girl and make good with her for Oz, she looked as though she might be a nice girl. Willow couldn’t lie ether from what she was seeing so far she did seem to have a nice body, great that’s last thing this witch needs, to be checking out Ex’s new girl. Bad Willow bad! She did then begin to wonder about what he meant by running in the woods, was it possible this girl was in fact a werewolf as well? It seemed like Buffy was thinking the same thing but how she looked at her, It could be what she has been sensing this whole time. “well Oz I think she should come over here and have a great time with us, tell you what maybe you should start playing and I will go get her. Then we can get this party started what you say?” But before Oz could ever even think about answering Willow, she heard a sound in the distance. When she looked it was Angel fighting a bunch of Vamps. “Buffy look over there its Angel! We should go help him!” She said to the Slayer waiting for orders on what to do next, hoping she would be helping kick some vampire butt. ---------------------- ---------------------- Oz shrugged again. He had no idea the extent of Willow's power now, but there was a lurking feeling that sent the wolf in him on edge, like a bigger predator was in the room. He had suddenly been demoted to second biggest danger in the room. He didn't care though. Willow had told him she had spent a long time working on control, just as he had. He expected she knew what she was doing, and he wouldn't intervene unless there was some major need. What Willow did with her life was his business.
His attention snapped back to Buffy at her casual joke about her lack of sleep, “I think the forces of evil shun nap time in fact. Which might be why they are so cranky.” He returned in his usual flat manner. As always his joking voice and his common speaking voice were very much the same. He smiled though and pulled the strap of his acoustic guitar over his neck.
He didn't respond to Buffy's comment about needing a tan. He really couldn't talk. He was still pale as he had been when he had lived in Sunnydale. Perhaps it was his ginger hair, it prevented him from gaining any color outside of day-glow white. Unlike the women though he had not one care about tanning. He looked the way he looked. People accepted him or they didn't. It was sort of his life's motto. Well at least concerning himself. He didn't do all that poising or dressing up. Well unless the occasion called for it. He might rent a tux for a wedding if he ever attended one. Though that was doubtful as dysfunctional as all the relationships he had seen were.
He smiled at Willow and her love of Dingos he had liked Dingos. They had been popular enough to get booked at least once a week and several times for parties. It wasn't that he thought they sucked in truth, he just knew there was a good need to improve over time. Dingos never really improved they just stayed the same.
Oz could have meant anything by running in the woods. There were plenty of trails after all. He hadn't mentioned running off the beaten path, or really give any indication of anything other then that he had met her. He shrugged once more in typical Oz fashion. He glanced to Buffy and Willow in thought. Buffy had an air about her. Maybe it was just the werewolf in him and maybe it was that he knew she was the slayer, but she had a certain imposing presence. “I run a lot. It helps burn off steam.” He added calmly, “I hardly know her so it wouldn't surprise me if she didn't come.”
He nodded to both the girls, quirking an eyebrow at Buffy's nickname. He shook his had and began to strum a few chords. The song was somewhat like a ballad, and needed nothing but the haunting acoustic around his neck. He opened his mouth to start singing when Willow said something about Angel. He looked up and both brows rose seeing the group of Vamps following him. He stopped playing and pulled off his guitar. “Well this might sound a little silly but I didn't bring a stake to the beach party.” He glanced to Buffy. It seemed there would be no concert tonight. ----------------------
