------------------- ------------------- Elijah decided to to visit Richmond Virginia he had heard of these slayers and that his sister's last visit with one he had to make sure that this slayer wasn't going to cross his own sister. He was an Original and he did not fear anyone. He appeared in front of this house that was full of these slayers and others and even if he couldn't go inside without an invitation he would simply wait until someone would exit the house. He was simply curious.
It was in the middle of the afternoon and he then was finished with his thoughts and headed towards the front door. Elijah kept his status as a Historian and if they didn't know who he was he would simply make it clear to whoever living here what he was. He did not want to appear as a threat but, he would if it had come down to that. Elijah was a gentle and calmed man he hardly ever showed any emotion in fact he never really shown emotions since being a vampire.
Many would think he was stupid and reckless for coming onto a Slayer base but, he did not have to worry one bit because no stake would kill him only neutralize him for only a matter of minutes. As he was about to ring the doorbell he heard a females voice behind him. Elijah turned around to see the woman who seemed very young. Elijah could tell she had strength but, so did he over 1000 plus years of it. Elijah was also known to be polite if needed. He remembered his human years and how close his family was before they became vampires.
"Good Evening Miss, I'm looking for the owner of this house my name is Elijah Mikaelson I am a historian and this house seems very fitting." He said giving off a smirk that could end up being a frown later. He knew exactly what he was walking into but, simply didn't care. This woman seemed nice and as much as she smelled good to him Elijah refrained from feeding off humans for centuries at a time. If she was part of the Supernatural this human would know exactly what he was. When she did answer the woman left to find the owner for him as he looked at the scenery before him.

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -Buffy groaned as she beat the punching bag downstairs with a vengeance. She wasn’t sure why she had such pent up energy but knowing that her lover was out doing god knows what and she had to wait to do anything because Willow hadn’t gotten all the ingredients needed for the spell to put his soul back into his body was making her edgy. She wasn’t sure how she had dealt with this the last time but she was clearly not handling it all that well, something the few people left in the house were clearly aware of. They had been staying away from her the past few days as she had blown up at several people, and even though she had apologized it was clear her bad mood was not going to go away anytime soon.
She jumped when the punching bag fell to the ground, stuffing falling out of it. It was the third one she had gone through so it wasn’t a surprise, but it did annoy her that she kept buying expensive bags, thinking they would last longer, and yet they weren’t doing so. She unwrapped the wrappings around her hand and threw them into the corner, making a mental note to pick them up later. Once done she headed towards the bathroom that Angel and Kathy shared. She didn’t feel like dealing with the bustling of activity upstairs so she’d just stick with using the bathroom down here. She had done it a few days ago as well so her shampoo, conditioner and body wash were already down here, which made her smile in a sad way to see her things mixed with Angel’s.
She cleaned up quickly, throwing on her clean clothes that she had put in there earlier, having the foresight to realize she’d probably want to clean up before heading back upstairs. She combed out her hair, thinking about it for a moment before simply throwing it up into a messy bun, not caring because most likely no one would see her today. She was still pretty either way, her face flushed from her hot shower and her skin smooth, so she didn’t really worry about it much.
Heading back upstairs she met Tina, one of the few potentials left in the boarding house at the moment. Buffy, there’s a man at the door for you, he says he’s a historian? The young teen told her. She nodded with a smile before heading towards the door, her senses telling her immediately that this was no regular historian. Yeah, he would definitely not be invited in. “Hello.” She stated with an innocent smile, not giving away the fact that she knew what he was. “Can I help you?” She asked pleasantly.

------------------- ------------------- This house seemed of good nature and he knew what was inside a slayer and her army Elijah did his research. Elijah was seen only wearing one suit but, he had others of the same venue. He was simply here because this one slayer had a visit with his sister and he wanted to make sure that this slayer had no plans on killing her. Elijah may have thought this his sister was a bit on the annoying side and had her own little attitude but, Elijah cared for his sister. The Originals were a family and even though they had there differences Elijah would protect them except for Klaus.
Standing on the porch it gave him time to think. Maybe having a slayer on his side wouldn't be such a bad idea. He had heard the myths of these Slayers the strength only being in each generation of only being females. Elijah was slightly intrigued by the thought females holding such great strength. After he spoke to the young woman she gave him a smile and went inside as he waited. He watched people walk by and only remembered when cars were not even created yet and neither were presidents or states. There were strange creatures living on this earth now which did not bother him one bit as long as they didn't get in Elijah's way.
Of course, when they the blond girl came out from the house with saying hello he turned towards her and tilted his head a little. This Slayer had a reputation that Elijah was just dying to find out. He knew she also had a knack for vampires. "Indeed you can." He said fixing his suit taking a breath while taking a step towards her. He was not stupid and he was sure neither was she. He could use an alley on taking down Klaus and he was sure this Slayer and her powerful witch could indeed help him. "As a pleasant warning to you I would beware of my sister she has quite the attitude." He said now giving off a serious tone to his voice.
"I find your kind quite extravagant I remember hearing about the first Slayer as a boy she was dazzling to the thought. That was over 1000 some years ago. You have quite the talent to have a relation to something of my adequate." He said realizing she wasn't her usual self. Elijah and his siblings had that knack for knowing the truth and the lies of someone. He stood tall and looked the slayer in the eyes. He gave a soft smile. "I just thought we should meet and a fair warning that I am not a threat but, the only Original that I will allow you to harm is a hybrid named Klaus." He said then frowning to a certain concern. He did not want some slayer hunting down his family like his certain brother had he would make himself clear.

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -Buffy took in the man standing on the porch. She cocked her head to the side, studying him. She could tell he was old, and for some odd reason he reminded her of Rebekah, the old vampire she had met while in California. Not in looks, no, in the way they felt. It was strange but she could feel the same power emanating off of this vampire that she did from Rebekah. It would scare someone less seasoned that the blonde was but to her it just intrigued her. Rebekah and her hadn’t fought, though it had come close a few times. No, in all actuality they had a nice pleasant conversation. A random one sure, but eh, what could you do.
She wondered if the family that she spoke of briefly was indeed in town, making her wonder if this man was a part of that family. She waited for him to speak, not wanting to jump the gun. Luckily for her almost inexistent patience it didn’t take him long before he allowed himself to speak, telling her his intentions with less words than he actually stated. “I have no reason to harm Rebekah as long as I don’t see her doing anything she shouldn’t.” She stated, allowing him to see her honesty through her eyes. She heard a sound and saw from behind her that the two potentials who were in the house were in the living room, watching her every move. She rolled her eyes before turning her attention back to the older man. “Do you mind walking with me?” She asked him, before heading out the door, motioning towards the large back yard.
“I didn’t want ears hearing this conversation. I’m not a normal slayer.” She told him, cutting through all the known pretenses and getting directly to the point. “I don’t kill for the fun of it like some slayers have done in the past. I am one of the most understanding people you will ever meet. I understand things happen, accidents, and as long as she or any of your family for that matter do not harm anyone that I know or care about, we will get along just fine.” She told him bluntly, not wanting any misconceptions. “As I told your sister, the love of my existence is a 247 year old vampire. One of my best friend’s is approaching is 200th birthday, also a vampire. I know things are not always as black and white as they seem.” She told him, wanting to be clear.
“I am not a threat to you either. I stick to myself. I do patrol at night and I will kill vampires that I see hurting someone, but I do not go about randomly sticking people with stakes. That’s not who I am.” She told him, her honestly showing through with every statement she gave.
“So whose this Klaus person? A hybrid? What sort of hybrid are we talking here?” She asked, genuinely curious of the strange being that she had a feeling would end up being more of a threat than Rebekah and the man who had still not introduced himself put together.

The house had been oddly quiet. It was one of the reasons why Giles hadn’t woken up until now. When he rolled over and blearily looked at the alarm clock, the watcher groaned. The afternoon had already come. He pushed himself up into a sitting position, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes and then reached for his glasses. He had to dig for a second, considering they were underneath a half a ream of various papers. Giles had spent most of the early hours of the night tracking exactly why his old friend Ethan Rayne was here of all places. The warlock had told him that he was sorry for his mistakes—that he was a new man. But Giles severely doubted that. He probably should have just taken Ethan out into an alleyway and beaten a confession out of him rather than failing at using one of the boarding houses’ computers and then moving on to books to research what could be in Richmond that might attract the chaos-worshipping man. He would have asked for help, but he didn’t want to let on that Ethan was in the area. Buffy’s responsibilities were much more important and if Giles mentioned Ethan, she might become distracted from them. Giles was confident that he alone was enough to take care of him, and planned to keep his mouth shut about it. For now, at least. Soon, Giles decided that coffee would be the only cure for his muddled state, and forced himself to leave the bed, get dressed and go to the kitchen. There was no coffee left in the pot, of course, so Giles began a new one. As he wandered towards the sink, he noticed through the kitchen window Buffy was outside in the back garden, along with a stranger, who was rather finely dressed. Wolfram and Hart law offices passed the watcher’s mind for a moment before he rejected the idea. Hopefully that wasn’t the case. The council certainly didn’t need lawyers messing in their affairs. It didn’t seem like things were very tense between Buffy and the stranger, but Giles poured himself a commuter cup full of coffee and took it outside, stepping through the back door. Hopefully Buffy wouldn’t think Giles would be overstepping his bounds. She was perfectly capable of handling this; Giles was just a bit curious. And perhaps the fresh air would wake him up more. He slipped on a pair of loafers, went through the back door and made his way over to the pair, sipping his drink as he went. ”Good afternoon, Buffy. I certainly don't mean to interrupt,” Giles said, still a bit more drowsily than he would have liked. If he was lucky, Buffy would at least wait before commenting on her old watcher's weary appearance. He looked at the man, his eyes squinting in the sunlight, and said in what was hopefully a friendly tone, ”But, ah, w-who do we have the pleasure of entertaining, if I may ask?”+++ TAGS: Elijah, Buffy WORD COUNT: 501 NOTES: Giles has to make sure his Slayer is okay, after all.

------------------- ------------------- This Slayer was different or so Elijah sensed old age would do that to someone. He could also tell if someone was lying just by the jump of there heart beat or how it races. Elijah was here for strictly business and to get to know this infamous Slayer that lower vampires seemed to be afraid of. Elijah tended to make sure no one would cross him or his family besides Klaus of course. He was the oldest sibling of the Originals and he watched over them as any eldest brother would do for his little siblings.
Elijah's words were strict and he knew how his sister acted she looked like a 19 year old and would be for the rest of her Original life. There mother was to blame for creating them although Elijah sometimes liked being what he was just the killing part made him hate it. He heard her speak and he stayed in his position as he took another small simple breath. "Rebekah is like a rabid dog someone pisses her off she tends to snap. If my sister does something unworthy I will deal with her." He said then looked inside where the two other soon slayers were putting there nose where they didn't belong as he faced them with a sarcastic smirk to back off. When Ms. Summers asked him to follow him he did calmly without hesitation.
"So I've heard which I find you amusing. It also works both ways Buffy, you keep your people on settle and I'll try to keep mine." He said firmly with his eyes looking straight into hers. Elijah could make deals he was a man of his word but, if others crossed him it wouldn't be to bright on there end. When he heard that she was in love with a vampire he squinted his eyes just a little. Ah yes, he had heard the stories of William the Bloody, and Angelus causing pain to others over a century ago. Elijah was not flattered by them nor was he impressed. "A Slayer with vampire bodyguards perhaps you are different." He said in a mocking tone of sarcasm.
When the subject of Klaus came up he smirked looking away from her. He had told this story many of times but, for this time he would shorten it so she could understand more clearly. "Klaus is of vampire and a wolf hybrid and like the rest of my siblings Klaus seems to be what you call spoiled. He is not a man of reason but, greed. You and the others you have here are no match for him alone unless you have a witch." He said and then was mildly interrupted by an older man. Elijah did not like that one bit but, he rarely attacked a mortal for interrupting unless well he tried to kill him.
"I'm Elijah." He said now looking at the old man who seemed to know a lot. Elijah listened to there heartbeats which seemed to beat normal so he carried onto what he was saying. "Klaus can only create other hybrids like them if they are a werewolf and they've drank his blood as well as the doppelgangers. These hybrids could change at will and of course walk in the daylight among walking into homes uninvited is not an option they in fact do need an invitation." He said then stopped to see what there reactions would be. Elijah would explain what he could and hopefully they would share as well.

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -"Your sister and I actually had an interesting conversation, or several as a matter of fact." She told him honestly. "You know, we sort of female bonded. Talked about boys, our craptastic fathers, and several other random things that popped into our heads. We parted ways on amicable terms so I don't see there being a problem." She stated, though understood what he meant. "If I have a problem with her I will try to talk to her first...but if it becomes an issue then how exactly am I supposed to get a hold of you?" She asked, starting to get tad annoyed at the way that he was speaking to her. She didn't take orders and while she admired him from coming forward in this blunt capacity, he needed to relax a bit.
The blonde waited for a response but before she could she heard the soothing and yet seemingly extremely tired voice of her favorite British man…her mentor. She turned around, her blonde hair sparkling in the sunlight and smiled at him, waving a hand. She waited patiently as he made his way over to her, grinning at the mug in his hand. She had a feeling it was not his usual tea in that mug with how tired he looked even though it was early afternoon, nope, her watcher had gone over to the dark side that day and was drinking coffee, something that made her bite back a laugh though she really had no reason to.
“Nah, you’re fine Giles.” She told him when he apologized for interrupting. She was actually glad he was here as he tended to listen to the more technical aspect of things better than she did. Sure she could do it quite easily but she tended to get bored and he was a lot more fascinated with things that he needed or wanted to know. If she forgot any of it he could easily relay it to her later. There was always an upside to having a book smarts person on your side.
She nodded a bit when Elijah introduced himself, though when he offered no other explanation she jumped in to explain a bit more. “He’s an original vampire. I met his sister a few days ago when I went to California.” She told him, offering up no information on why she had been there. No one had remembered what the date was when she told them she was leaving for a few days. She hadn’t wanted to make a big deal out of it but she had needed to visit the huge crater that was now Sunnydale in a small attempt to honor her mother’s memory on the day that she had died.
She huffed when Elijah commented on having vampire bodyguards. “Uhh…no. I think you misheard me.” She stated sarcastically. Clearly he hadn’t misheard her but she figured she would reiterate anyway. “I have people that I care about who are vampires…I can most definitely take care of myself.” She stated, her arms over her chest in a defensive position, not at all liking the way this was going.
“Great, hybrids. Just what I needed. And how do you kill these hybrids?” She asked, having no idea if he would tell her or not…but figured it would be the best thing for her to ask.

Giles became only slightly more relaxed when Buffy said that he wasn’t interrupting. The man in front of them didn’t seem to be an immediate danger, but from the way Buffy was acting, Giles could tell some kind of conflict resolution was happening. She always had that certain terseness in her voice when she was trying to be diplomatic. And when Buffy explained that she was talking to a vampire, the pieces fell into place. By his manner and the fact that he was walking around in the sunlight, the vampire was very old, and Giles could concede that having a vampire like this in a truce would be preferable over making an enemy out of him. ”Original vampire? Of that other kind of vampire, I assume,” The watcher said, as if expecting someone to confirm his statement. Giles had grown quite intrigued by the other species of vampires he had come across in the short amount of time he had been in Richmond. The vampire that Buffy had met at the dance and described to Giles did not seem to be like the ones that they normally dealt with at the Hellmouth, and a third type of vampire was described in the book Becky Rosen had given him. Although a bit confusing at first, Giles was beginning to catalogue any information he could find on these new vampires. Being face to face with one made the researcher’s will in him yearn to ask the vampire known as Elijah question after question, but Giles was a man of great restraint. He also wanted to ask Buffy about the reason she went to California, but then it struck him. The anniversary of Joyce’s death had been just a short while ago. Nothing showed in the man’s face, but Giles did feel just a twinge of sadness. He hadn’t thought about Joyce for a while. Giles couldn’t help but smirk when Buffy clarified the position of the two vampires in her life and how she was perfectly capable as the Slayer. He took a sip of coffee to try and hide it, but he was sure that Buffy saw it. Picking up on that, the watcher wanted to put in his position on the matter, ”The Slayer Organization is rather extensive. We have several witches that we are in contact with or that are under our employ, as well as exceptionally trained Slayers, hunters and mercenaries. If there is a reason for us to confront this Klaus character, we will be more than prepared.” The watcher hoped that he wasn’t showing too much of his hand by mentioning the Slayer Organization. The truth of it was that Giles and Buffy had both put a great amount of effort into the Council and it now had gone worldwide, branches existing all over the world. Sometimes Giles thought it was funny that he had gone from a mild-mannered librarian to one of the leaders of a global task-force. But just as Buffy had fought the original vampire’s contempt with sarcasm, Giles countered it with a cool attitude and logic. Despite their strength, the Slayer organization had numbers. And it was growing every day. ”And how much of a threat do you think the hybrids pose to us?” Giles added to Buffy’s question before explaining his own, ”I would say that it would be werewolves that would have the most to fear, considering it sounds like they pick up some rather undesirable vampire traits.” +++ TAGS: Elijah, Buffy WORD COUNT: 579 NOTES: ~

------------------- ------------------- "Rebekah does have her moments of humanity. And as her brother I hope you understand my discretion for coming here." The Original said with no break in his voice. Elijah was not fond of her tone and she was smart which he hoped she was this slayer would be wise to watch her comments he had already had a lot on his mind with his siblings. Elijah didn't mean to sound all orderly like but when it came to his siblings things became personal. Elijah fought so hard to get them back and now that he had them he was not going to let some Slayer get in the way of that. "It's called I believe a cell phone." He said throwing back the same attitude and this time with an angry look.
He looked at the British man who spoke and as Elijah has recently discovered of these other forms of vampires he liked to be called an Original or by his name Elijah. "Being such a historian yourself I would think you knew of me after all I am one of the first of my kind." He said still with his straightened his facial expression. Elijah never came near this organization he was more worried about his brother getting a hold of the doppelganger to create his hybrids and for Stefan Salvatore to stop his ripper ways. Elijah never came across a slayer nor fought with one it may not even matter he could over power her or be at the same strength. His moods were off and on but, his emotions were locked deep inside.
"Witches are more the tools to use if they know there magic and I think it would be wise to not alert this council only those here should be fit to know." He said then turned his attention on Buffy. He may not be able to get into the house but what they forgot was they were outside and Elijah could easily end the old man's life with no hesitation. Elijah had that look and he did get annoyed quickly and plus so he once stabbed Damon Salvatore through the neck with a piece of pencil for getting on his nerves. He ignored Buffy's statement. "They are much stronger then an average vampire or werewolf. They pose a great threat." He said then walking over to the elder man who seemed to know his history.
"They can die pretty much like you would kill any vampire or werewolf..decapitation removing there heart from there chest it may not be easy for those who are human. They could only be created through drinking the blood of my brother they killed to start the transition then they have to feed off the blood of the Doppelganger to be able to survive the rest of there transition. They can die." He said Elijah was now tired of talking about Klaus and his hybrids there weren't many left after Elijah killed one and well Stefan doing the rest. Elijah hadn't fed in a few days and he always came prepared placing his hands in his inside pocket and pulled out a blood bag and hope he wasn't being rude or well he didn't care he wasn't feeding off a human.

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -Buffy tried to keep the glare off of her face when the original vampire stated that she could get a hold of him by way of cell phone. "Well since I doubt you have business cards printed up you'll excuse me if I don’t automatically know your number." She told him before biting her tongue, not wanting to start a big ol' fight. She hated how he was making her sound like a petulant child, because that wasn't at all who she was...at least not anymore. She kept her mouth shut after that, at least for a few moments anyway.
She could see the wheels spinning in Giles’ head as he started to learn about the different types of vampires. She had never really thought about there being any other species of vampires but from what she’d learned since coming to Richmond there were at least one or two more. It was strange to her that they hadn’t known this living on the Hellmouth but apparently the two other types of vampires were a tad bit smarter than the normal run of the mill ones she met in Sunnydale. They didn’t flock to the Hellmouth (where the slayer lived) and get themselves killed, no, they stayed away. She had a feeling that eventually Willow was going to get roped into helping catalogue the different types of vampires there were out there. Granted Willow and Giles would both love that particular project…but she made a mental note to be far away as to not get roped along with it.
She noted Giles smirk right before he took a drink of his coffee and she couldn't help but feel proud of her accomplishment. If he would have thought she was out of line or being rude he would have told her as such, so the fact that he simply hid a smirk gave her a warm fuzzy feeling within. She listened as he explained what the slayer organization was and how they would be prepared if they needed to be. She agreed with him whole heartedly though in the back of her mind she hoped that it wouldn't come down to it. Not that she wasn't willing to fight, she was more than willing. However she didn't want to involve anyone else in it if she didn't have too. The other slayers out there were the ones who picked up the odd vampire or two...however she herself still tried to deal with the larger things. It had been ingrained into her for a long time to handle the larger threats such as the end of the world and all that, and that was what she wanted to continue to do.
She tilted her head to the side when Giles stated that the werewolves had the most to fear...she didn't know if she agreed with that statement. "But what happens if a hybrid bites a human. Since werewolves, at least the ones that we know, if they bite someone that someone turns into a werewolf on the next full moon, does the same go for hybrids?" She asked, having more questions than answers. This wasn't something she had ever been prepared for, never really thinking of hybrid species...and it was definitely something she was going to have to investigate...carefully.
She wanted to scoff when Elijah stated that it would be extremely difficult to rip the heart out of the hybrids chest if the person doing it were human. "Well I'm human and I can tell you that they aren't scaring me. Klaus may be a bit of a threat, but the hybrids he makes, I'll take care of them if I see them. If they harm someone, I'll take them out...and I will not be stopped." She told him, her tone determined yet not unkind. "You've mentioned the doppelganger twice now...I know what it is so please don't act like I'm illiterate in that capacity. I know a doppelganger is literally a living breathing copy of oneself. However I know that there are rumored to be doppelgangers in certain family lines. Is that the case here...does he just have to find a doppelganger or does it have to be a specific one?" She asked, curious.
She waited for an answer, noting that he took a blood bag out of his pocket and drank from it slowly. She smiled a bit at that, glad that he wasn’t feeding off a human. It didn’t surprise her that he was thirsty…she had been told by many vampires that her blood called out because of the slayer inside her, that it was sweeter than most blood, and it tended to drive vampires a bit crazy. “I can get you a glass if you’d like? Warm it up for you?” She asked politely, not at all repulsed. She did live with three vampires at the moment counting Spike, Kathy and Angel.

”You will have to excuse my ignorance. Most of the documents that describe your kind have been kept here or in Mystic Falls and I have only recently been able to study them. I would also suspect that a few of our tomes that described demons or other kind of vampires may have been mistaken and actually refer to your species,” The watcher put as sincerely as possible. The Original made it sound almost personal, as if he was offended that Giles had not heard of him, ”As I understand it, you are approximately a thousand year old, but I have not seen an Elijah or Klaus named in the texts that I have read. Perhaps you could recommend a specific one?” Ever the opportunist, Giles hoped that it was possible, as it seemed that this Original was a historian as well, that they could gain an alliance with Elijah and exchange information as necessary. Certainly the Council had resources that could assist the Original in the future and Giles, almost selfishly, wanted to know more about these new threats which seemed to have little documentation on them, particularly these Hybrids. ”We prefer to call them our allies,” Giles said with a little dry barb attached in the tone, though mostly he still kept his polite, serene demeanor. He had just felt a spark of indignation at Elijah calling witches ‘tools’ when they were living, breathing people and some of his most dearest friends. It may have not been the best idea to correct the Original, but Giles had made it his mission to ensure that the current council was not a heartless machine like the previous one was. And as for the Council being fit to know, Giles wholeheartedly disagreed. However, he could see that involving what was essentially an army to deal with what seemed to be a delicate situation was less preferable than solving the problem with a small force. And if it placated the Original, Giles was willing to reserve the Council’s power unless he thought it was needed. He simply took a few mental notes as Buffy asked her pertinent questions. Giles could concede that humans probably were at risk for attack, but the mode of the attack for these hybrids would probably more similar to vampires rather than werewolves and it seemed that the way to fight them was similar to vampires. And if Elijah was correct that there was only one way to create a hybrid, then they couldn’t spread as quickly as the counterparts they were comprised of. It seemed that if they wanted to stop the hybrids entirely, the simplest way was to eliminate Klaus or this doppelganger. So Giles was as intrigued to hear about the other component. However, the watcher was concerned that the truth was that this simply was a family squabble and this Elijah was only attempting to take the advantage by having the Slayer on his side. He was certainly relieved when Buffy asserted that she would only fight them if necessary. As far as Giles was concerned, they simply did not have enough information to choose a side and thus remaining impartial was the safest position. Also, being hospitable and offering to warm your vampire guest’s blood was a nice touch. Although, Giles did have to admit that he was a bit put back by the sight of human blood that was surely in that bag, though not enough to show it on his face. ”Actually, this all talk makes me think of a Norse legend about vampires and werewolves about a ritual that would allow vampires to walk in the day, like these hybrids,” The ex-librarian attempted to make conversation with what first readily came to mind, and this legend was a popular one that both included vampires and werewolves, ”I never thought it could be true, though. The cross references were always inconsistent. But I suppose that a thousand years of oral tradition can change a story.”+++ TAGS: Elijah, Buffy WORD COUNT: 664 NOTES: Giles is pretty poor at making small talk.

------------------- ------------------- Of course, Elijah was just getting to know these cell phones as well. He took out the electronic and handed it to her. "Perhaps you could place your number in this new age technology these days I'm still getting used to." He said then placing his hands on the balcony pole that was holding up the patio and the patio roof. Elijah couldn't help his choice of words it was who he was thanks to his age of the time he was from. He didn't fear this one girl even if she seemed all tough and mouthy. Elijah wanted to take her throat with her sarcasm but, held it in for good measure.
This was going no where they had questions and sometimes Elijah hated telling the story of his family that's what books were for but, listening to what Giles said he sighed with a grin on his face. "Last names weren't big in my time perhaps reading the history of Mystic Falls you might find something." He said looking over at the watcher hoping to have answered his question or guide him to the right path. He didn't want to involve this so called council Elijah had his own plans to deal with his own brother it was only a matter of time.
"No these Hybrids won't turn a human more like tear them into pieces there bite however is deadly to vampires." He said reassuring the Slayer. Elijah wanted to get back to Mystic Falls to watch over Klaus's moves and for Elena to be safe from him. Talking to two who were asking two different questions. Buffy was a human possessed with demonic abilities not a normal mortal. "Yes but, you possess incredible strength while others do not." He said trying to make a point. Elijah heard stories of this Slayer which he could admit she had potential. The subject of the Doppelganger came up and Elijah took in a breath.
"The Doppelganger is of the Petrova bloodline it started with a Tatia Petrova then as she was killed Katerina Petrova was born she looked exactly like Tatia she bore a child and Katerina became a vampire my brother wanted her to suffer and slaughtered her family unaware of her child. And now the doppelganger is alive once again and Klaus needs her blood to create his hybrids." He said giving all he could share. He didn't give the name of Elena because all he needed was them paying her a visit and cause more problems in her life. Elijah cared for the Doppelganger very much and would protector the best he could. He looked at Giles and smiled. "Me and my siblings and some vampires of my kind have rings that a witch granted us to walk in the sunlight." He said already proving that point.
When Buffy spoke of warming up his blood he smirked. "That won't be necessary warming it up would make it seem more human which I stopped doing so centuries ago." He said taking a sip of it again feeling a bit more stronger not so weakened. He was starting to get tired of this conversation he was intrigued by this Watcher. "Over a thousand of years and yet there are creatures that I still don't understand." The Original spoke and he looked away at a distance.

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -Taking the cell phone out of the man's hand she quickly typed her cell phone number into it's keypad. Keying in her name and pressing save she then pressed 'call' and allowed her phone to vibrate in her pocket twice before ending the call. Handing Elijah's phone back to him she pulled her own out, saving his number under his name and putting it back in her pocket. "There, now we have the means to communicate as much as we want." She told him with a wink, her eyes shining brightly. If anyone knew her they knew damn well that half the time she forgot her phone or let it die, so there was no chance of her calling him up just to chat. Didn't mean she couldn't mess with him though.
Her smile turned into a frown as she listened as Giles apologized and for once she wished that he wasn't as polite as she was. Granted, it was probably a good thing in her case that he was so polite since she tended to act without thinking and his attitude had gotten her out of trouble more than once, but still. She didn't feel as if her watcher and surrogate father figure should have to apologize for not knowing that he existed. Clearly these 'originals' had kept to themselves at least in some respect if not everyone knew of them. She wondered for a moment if Angel had heard of them but banished the thought, thinking she would think about it later. Either that or she'd ask Spike.
She frowned when she learned that a hybrid bite was deadly to a vampire. Yeah, she needed to rid this town of hybrids ASAP. Usually she would be all for allowing a few vampires to be turned to dust, but not with Angel and Spike running around. She turned to Giles, her fear showing in her eyes. “We need to rid the hybrids like yesterday.” She told him in a quick voice. “Especially since they clearly are loyal to the one who made them…I’m assuming some weird sire bond thing, and they won’t care if they harm any of those who stand in his way.” She told him, her eyes clearly showing her fear for Angel and Spike.
She shrugged when he refused her offer to warm up his blood. That was fine with her, she just figured she would be polite. "Suit yourself...though I do appreciate the fact that you seem to value humanity in some respect." She told him, keeping a note in her mind about the rings that allow them to walk in the sunlight. That was definitely something she'd have to think on later.
The blonde was quiet as Giles seemingly mused over a ritual that was over a thousand years old. She grinned at her slightly socially awkward watcher, patting his arm slightly with a sad smile. "We know Giles, you want to run off to your books. A few more minutes and you'll go back to safety." She told him, knowing it sounded a bit mean but the smile on her face clearly showed she was simply joking with him. The two had become much closer over the years where as once she would have said the words to actually get a rise out of him, instead where as now she said them just to get a smile.

It was funny that Elijah’s sentiments about modern technology nearly mirrored Giles’s. Well, not exactly. While both of them knew little about it, Elijah seemed to want to learn, while Giles remained adamant that he would not carry a cell phone. Buffy would probably berate him into having one sooner or later, but throughout his life, normal land line telephones had serviced Giles just fine. And cellphones these days seemed to be more and more like computers rather than phones and it disturbed the watcher that in the distant future, no one might know what a newspaper or a book was. But it was good to have contact with this new potential ally. “Hmm. Perhaps another trip to Mystic Falls is in my future, then.” The watcher said in response to Elijah recommending going back to the small town to do more research on their species. It would probably be a nice distraction from the current research he was doing. And perhaps ”Indeed,” Giles agreed with Buffy’s concerns about the hybrids. While he certainly didn’t feel it to the same extent as Buffy, he did regard Angel and Spike as associates of the Slayer Organization and their safety was as important as any of those who staffed the organization, as long as they proved themselves to be a help rather than a danger. If too dangerous… well, that was a matter Buffy and he would never see eye to eye on, ”Is there anything else you can tell us about these Hybrids? Approximate numbers and location? Is there a cure for their bite at all?” He racked his brain to think of any other things to ask the man, but he came up short. A vague weariness was beginning to win over the coffee. He probably should get back to sleep, or at least try to read until he slept. Giles listened to the story very carefully, trying to remember the names and situations as well as he could, but truth be told, he was much more interested by Elijah’s mention of the rings, which allowed the vampires to walk in the day, ”Oh. Fascinating. ” He said, his voice sounding cordial, but in actuality, he was a bit nervous. Vampires walking out in the day time was not a good thing in his book—although the research that he had done was leaning to show that some of the other vampire species had more control of themselves, at least in comparison to the Hellmouth vampires, who seemed to love chaos and destruction for the sake of such things. He made a note to speak to Willow to see if she had ever known a witch who could make such a ring. As the vampire—er, Original—looked out into the distance, Giles nodded. One could probably wander and study for a thousand years and not know all there was to know. However, it dawned on the ex-librarian that the man was quite possibly talking about him. This only seemed to be confirmed by Buffy lightly patting his arm, and assuring him that he could retreat to his study later. He gave a very quiet chuckle of embarrassment, before turning back to the man in front of him, ”Well, Mr. … Elijah. Is there anything else we can assist you with?” Though his tone was still impeccably polite, Giles had enough information on the Hybrids and a good idea of where to get more, if he so desired. And although Elijah seemed to be docile enough at the moment, Giles couldn’t deny that having a dangerous, largely unknown person at the boarding house was of great concern to the watcher. Buffy could certainly handle herself, but any number of the potentials or other boarding house guests were potentially at risk. He looked to Buffy, his split-second glance conveying that the Original should probably be seen out as soon as possible. +++ TAGS: Elijah, Buffy WORD COUNT:650 NOTES: Giles… he’s like a British mob boss…

------------------- ------------------- Letting the girl place her number in his phone Elijah was grateful that she knew what she was doing. He had no interest in technology but, anything to blend in seemed necessary. He was calm during this visit and well Elijah was known to show really no emotion. "Forgive me but, my communication is usually by visitation this device is simply for if I'm not in town." He said to her taking back the phone and placing it in his pocket. Elijah wondered why Rebekah played nice to the slayer in fact he was quite surprised he knew his sister well with her mood swings. Perhaps he underestimated Rebekah to a small level.
When the British man spoke again he nodded his head without a word. Mystic Falls was Elijah's home way before it was called Mystic Falls so he tried to make sure the town wouldn't have a bad reputation besides the vampires that lived there. Elijah would trust this watcher and in hopes he wouldn't do anything that would cause more trouble in that town then there already is with Klaus and his pack of mutts running around.
Elijah heard Buffy and gave a faint smile. "Most of them have been killed but, some still roam these parts. Yes, they are sired to Klaus and can be killed like any normal vampire or werewolf. I prefer ripping out the heart." He said as Elijah would help her with the Hybrids because well Elijah disliked them completely. He had his own plan on dealing with his brother on his own terms nobody would get in his way of his revenge on Klaus. But, Elijah was still battling on how he could kill his own brother it was quite troublesome. He looked at Giles after his words and swallowed. "Numbers aren't much I really couldn't tell you how many but, I know for a fact that the cure for a werewolf bite or even a hybrids bite is my brother's very own blood. If you want a cure I hardly think Klaus is willing to give his own blood unless a bargain is made." He said making a point in that matter. Time was already being taken away just by him being here.
When it came to his blood there were many reasons why Elijah chose the blood bag like most of his siblings hated what they become but, honored it as a curse to what they have done over the centuries. Now, Elijah did value humanity but, as like a vampire who would betray him Elijah wouldn't mind putting a human down if he tried to place harm on Elijah or anyone he deeply cared about. "I may feed from a blood bag..Buffy, but, as vampires some humans can be violent and immature I may not feed off them for good reasons but, I am not afraid to harm them if they cross me. But, I haven't killed a human in centuries." He said informing the Slayer or so correcting her. Elijah envied humans yes but, to a certain point until there attitudes got them in trouble.
It had appeared Elijah done what he was here to do and to make sure this Slayer would cause him no trouble. Elijah then looked at his watch and decided he must leave to see what his siblings were up to. He also had to make sure the Salvatore's weren't planning on doing anything stupid that would cause Elena to get hurt. He did look at Giles and did manage to say one thing before his way back to Mystic Falls. "There is one thing Mr. Giles. Your visit to Mystic Falls and if you happen to run into an Elena Gilbert she isn't to be touched." He said making one last statement before then walking down the porch chair enjoying the scenery around him. He then turned around and looked at Buffy. "It was a pleasure to meet you I look forward on assisting you if needed." He said then he turned around and another girl walked at him and Elijah tilted his head as he continued walking leaving them be for now.
