- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - - If I die young, bury me in satin, Lay me down on a, bed of roses, Sink me in the river, at dawn, Send me away with the words of a love song.
She hummed the tune as she went through her closet, trying to get a bit of organization to it. As soon as she had moved into the boarding house she had simply thrown all of her clothes into her closet and not worried about the mess or anything of the sort. Unfortunately since the group had decided to stay longer in order to find the multiple potentials that they had been given word of she had to find a way to blend in, and that meant a job. Meaning that she had to have Xander send her a bunch of her more ‘professional looking clothing’, meaning that she had to organize things. She had a good system going lucky for her, it was just the actual organization process that was a slight pain.
Her closet was a large walk in closet which was good because she had a ridiculous amount of weapons with her. It wasn’t at all for her own use but if the potentials decided to stay here and be trained then she had the means to do so, which was easier than going and buying weapons. She stood at the outside of her closet, looking from side to side. Directly in front of her were her weapons, though all were hidden in chests and storage tubs. The last thing she needed was anyone coming in here for any reason and seeing an axe or a sword…yeah, that would definitely not be good. Also there were the clothes she would usually wear while on patrol. She had learned the hard way over the years that if she could avoid it, don’t slay in clothes that you want to keep nice…they never seem to stay that way.
On the left hand side were her casual clothes, as well as her bathing suits, and pajamas. On the shelf underneath were her flip flops, tennis shoes, slide ons, the works. On the right hand side were her professional clothes…her nice dress pants, skirts, dresses, blouses, the works…as well as her beloved high heels that she had definitely spent too much money on.
She shook her head and rolled her eyes, throwing on the clothing she decided on and headed out the front door, wandering around the town aimlessly until she came to the falls. She could see Wickery Bridge from where she stood, though her attention was drawn to the water below.

Chuck stood there in the town of Mystic falls except it wasn’t really Chuck. There was something different about the prophet, something that no one would notice, anyway. Demons couldn’t sense it; angels couldn’t sense it, not even the most powerful of angels. He stood there in white collared shirt, white pants, and white shoes. He wore a nice gold watch on his left arm, and he also had his glasses on. The prophet’s hair was combed back neatly. It was an entirely different Chuck Shurley.
He looked around, looking down at the water fall. He remembered creating it. He thought it was beautiful as the rest of this place. He just wished his children could see it. The man started walking again before stopping and touching a tree.
He had his reasons. He knew that they were searching for him, that his children were searching for him. He cared, but he didn’t want to interfere anymore. After banishing his son to hell he was fed up with it all. He didn’t like it when they fought and that seemed to be all the time. He just enjoyed the moments he had to talk to Joshua. He told Joshua to tell his son why he had brought him back. That was true. He couldn’t bear to lose his little messenger, Gabriel.
He looked down at the water and knew what it was inside it, what he had created, when he had created. The place made him smile. He loved it all. The man sat down and let out a sigh. A smile appeared on his face and he then dipped one of his hands into the water. He rarely smiled but it was times like this when he was actually happy that he smiled. He knew that Joshua knew the only reason why he talks to him is because he is lonely. He knew that to be true. He does get lonely.

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She stared out into the black waters down below, her mind wandering to places that it really shouldn’t wander. Her death was always on the forefront of her mind but it was something she never really wanted to think about. She hated thinking about it because she tended to become a bit bitter with her friends for a few days until she became obsessed with something else. Her mind raced with thoughts of her death…her her rebirth. She wasn’t sure why she was thinking about it so much tonight, but she was.
She was, for every intent and purposes had been dead. Unfortunately she wasn't allowed stay that way. She was in heaven, though not everyone knew it at first and was ripped out by Willow, Xander, Tara and Anya who had done a spell to bring her back. She didn't tell anyone until she told Spike, and even then she begged him not to tell anyone. She pretended to be happy that she was back, pretended that she was in hell. She remembered how she told Angel that she had been in heaven once he called a few days after being brought back. It was ironic that the two people she trusted to tell, were both people that in all actuality she shouldn't trust. She remembered the look on Angel's face when he had found out where she had been and what her friends had done. It was a mix between anger, sadness, pity, and overwhelming compassion. She remembered when it sunk in what exactly her friends had done, and how he looked murderous. He screamed, hollered, clenched his fists, started off walking to his car looking like he was going to head to Sunnydale and let heads roll. It was only her plea, a quiet one, that begged him not to tell anyone.
She remembered him looking at her like she was insane, asking if no one really knew. It was one of the only times she had lied to Angel. She didn’t want to admit that she had told Spike before telling him. So she simply shrugged, telling him that no one else needed to know…that she didn’t want to hurt anyone with the knowledge.
She remembered leaving him that night. Wanting desperately to cling onto him. To let him take care of her...for once for someone else to take the burden off of her shoulders for a little bit. He offered to come to Sunnydale, just like he always did, and take care of things for her for a while. She wanted to take him up on his offer so badly, but she knew in the end she would be even more hurt when he left her. She declined his offer, putting on a brave face, before getting into her jeep, which was once her mothers, and leaving, not stopping to look back.
She remembered the weeks after she had come back. She applied for loans, tried several different jobs, and finally ended up working at a fast food restaurant. She knew she had to find a way to support herself and her sister since her mother's medicals bills had pretty much eaten up any money that her mother had left them.
She sighed, knowing that this was a waste of time. She turned around to head back home and immediately came face to face with someone that she had no idea who he was. He seemed to be deep in thought but there was something about him that was odd. She sighed, not wanting to leave in case he was dangerous, though he did feel powerful, he didn’t feel dangerous…but she couldn’t help but note her slayer senses were going off. And that always counted for something.

The man in white looked at the blond young woman who was looking at him now. He then looked back at the falls. He smiled a little and he then rested his hands in his pocket.
“you think this is beautiful, this waterfall?” He had asked her, knowing that she probably wasn’t expecting him to talk to her.
He wondered if humanity really stopped to look at all he did for them, look at all he created for them. He loved this world and it seemed that all his creations were screwing it all up. That’s why he left heaven. He couldn’t deal with it all anymore, always being expected to clean up messes and help out. It wasn’t that he stopped helping out he continues to, in fact he had just made a blind man see a week or so ago. He’s a miracle worker and he never stopped loving his creations, the angels, humanity.
“sorry, odd question to ask, isn’t it?” The man in white then asked Buffy Summers, the Slayer.
He never stopped keeping tabs on everyone. He knew exactly what was going on in the world and the angels say he doesn’t care but in all reality he does care. He just wants them to learn that they need to do things on their own, that they need to take care of things themselves, they need to learn. He was going to match, still guide them, though Raphael seemed to take everything a little too far. The man in white knew exactly where Michael and Lucifer were. He knew that this was too much for the archangel to handle and he brought back Gabriel for moral support and to help guide Raphael in the right direction, though that was a lost cause since Raphael had done what he did.

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She continued to stare into the water, her mind wandering to places that were better left untouched. As she stared, her mind went back to when he had not been her lover, but her worst nightmare. She knew him, she knew this man more than she cared to admit. Her and Angel had been happy, happier than most couples ever were in years of marriage, and yet they found it after only months of dating. Unfortunately things didn't stay that way. On her 17th birthday they ended up taking their relationship to the next level. It didn't end with him making breakfast the next morning and sending her off to school, No....it ended with the demon Angelus being freed and Angel having lost his soul.
Angelus teamed up with Spike and Drusilla to kill her. 'To kill this girl...you have to love her'. Angelus had all of Angel's memories and knew how to take her down, by breaking down her spirit. He stalked her for months, killed Jenny Calendar (her watchers true love) and it all came to a head when he decided awaken a demon named Acathla and end the world. Kendra, the slayer that had been called after she had been killed by the master, came to help, and was killed at the hand of Drusilla in order to kidnap Giles. Spike decided he had had enough of Angelus and decided to come to her aide and together they overcame Angelus. What Buffy didn’t know was that Willow was attempting to re-curse Angelus in order to restore Angel's soul. Spike left with Drusilla and Buffy and Angelus were battling it out. Angelus had pulled the sword out of Acathla but neither one are paying attention. Buffy had Angelus right in front of Acathla when an orange light went through his eyes and he looked up. Buffy quickly realized it was Angel but unfortunately she also saw behind him that the portal has opened and Angel's blood was the only way to close it. So she told him she loved him, then she kissed him, and then she killed him, sending the only man she had ever loved to the depths of hell.
She shook her head, clearing her thoughts with a gentle push. She couldn’t dwell on things that were going on around her. She instead had to deal with things in the now so to speak.
Her thoughts were interrupted by a soft voice behind her. She turned, her eyes narrowed a bit in concentration when she realized what the man had said. “Uh…yes…beautiful.” She stated, wondering why this strange man was talking about the random waterfalls. “Yeah, it was an odd question. However I do agree, the waterfalls are quite beautiful.”

The man dressed in white continued to look at the waterfall. The earth was definitely something he never regretted. He smiled at it and knew that she was too lost in her own thoughts. He looked back at her and wanted to help her. He knew how he could do that with out letting her know who he really was.
“sorry, I’m Charles. didn’t mean to interrupt your thoughts.” The man said to her with a small smile, hopefully that it would break some ice, maybe he could talk to her more. He thought that it must have been a hard thing, knowing that when she was dead she was in heaven and being back still knowing. He would like to take that away from her, to make everything easier for her, though she seemed to be coping with it well. She is strong like the Winchesters.
Chuck had been watching Gabriel, and Gabriel had met her on the beach after he fell from heaven. He couldn’t have been more happy with Gabriel, trying to cheer up Buffy, telling her that she always had a place in heaven which she does. The man in white wouldn’t have it any other way. She is a good person and a person who puts other’s needs before hers.
The man looked back at the waterfall and he wondered what else he could say to her. He had hoped that she would be the one to talk to him. Chuck then looked back at her. Maybe he should tell her that he is an angel, maybe she would open up more. “is everything alright?” the man then asked her.

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -The blonde wasn't sure what it was about this guy but he seemed trustworthy. She wasn't one to trust people easily, had never been really...though over the years her ability to trust had lessened. However this guy...there was just something about him. She didn't know how to describe it but it was almost...parental in a way. It was weird since Buffy hadn't had a true parent in years but that's the only word she could think to use about the man. It was a strange feeling, one that she wasn't entirely comfortable with...though at the same time it didn't turn her away either.
She shook her head, her blonde hair waving around her. “No, no. It’s fine.” She told him with a smile. “My thoughts weren’t all that happy to begin with so feel free to interrupt them.” She told them with a laugh. It was the truth though. Her thoughts hadn’t been happy for awhile now, though she hated to say that to any of those that she loved. Even when she was with Angel she half the time was wishing she was back in heaven. It saddened her as Angel’s arms were the closest things to heaven she had ever experienced on earth, but unfortunately it wasn’t the same. “I’m Buffy, Buffy Summers.” She told him.
She turned her head back to the waterfall, a smile on her face as she watched the water flow into the creek. It was beautiful, she would admit that. It was calming, almost soothing in a way. She had actually started coming here more and more after her evening patrols in order to de-stress a bit before going home. She told Willow a few night’s back about her new stop and the red-head had tried to buy one of those sound machines that sounded like a waterfall to see if that would help…definitely didn’t work.
She nodded a tiny nod at Charles' question. "I'm okay, just tired. I work with kids all day and then go home to deal with a house full of friends and craziness so sometimes I just need to get away." It was the truth, just not the whole truth. Sure she definitely did need to get away from the craziness of the boarding house, but her thoughts didn’t tend to center around them. However what was she going to say ‘I died, went to heaven, and then was drug out by my friends?’…yeah, not so much.

The man in white looked at her when she said that it was fine. He gave her a small smile and she said that her thoughts weren’t all that happy. His smile faded and he was more interested. The man would wait to ask her what she was thinking about, he didn’t want to seem too pushy, too soon since he had just started talking to her. He didn’t want to scare her away. She introduced herself as Buffy Summers, though the man in white already knew that. He smiled to her.
“it’s a pleasure to meet you Buffy Summers.” the man said to her and watched her look back at the waterfall.
The man in white did the same thing. He didn’t understand why Lucifer hated it all. He knew that his second oldest son was angry that he had created all of this and his son was angry over Michael betraying him, but there was still a lot he wanted to ask his son. He would when the time is right. The man looked at Buffy as she was looking at the waterfall, smiling herself. that’s what he wanted to see. She needed to smile. The young slayer did a lot of good in the world.
He listened as she started talking. “why are your thoughts happy, if you don’t mind me asking. Let me know if you don’t want to talk about it.” he paused. “I know I am just that random guy you just met, but you look like you need someone to talk to and I will listen.” the man in white had added to her, giving her a small, reassuring smile.

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -"It's nice to meet you as well." She told the man honestly. She didn't know what it was about him, wasn't something that she could pinpoint, but he was trustworthy. She didn’t trust often and if she trusted you and you broke it, it was nearly impossible to get it back. Truly only two people in her life had ever completely broken her trust and regained it…and they were Spike and Faith. However it was hard to come by her trust in the first place, it usually took a lot of time and effort to gain it in the first place, and yet this man had gained it effortlessly. That knowledge alone actually worried her a bit.
She turned her head to him, trying to think of a way to explain her thoughts without getting chucked into the loony bin for talking about dying, being brought back, witches, heaven and the myriad of other things that tended to go along with how insane her life tended to be.
She thought about blowing him off and making an excuse to leave, but she really didn’t want to do that. He seemed like a nice man, if not a bit odd, and she didn’t meet many of those very often. Knowing her luck he’d end up being another angel like Gabriel or a prophet like Maddie (who she needed to remember to call soon to check on) but she tried not to think about it, instead making up her mind to tell the truth…in an odd way.
“A couple years ago I…moved to a place that I had wanted to…live for a long time. My friends seemed to be okay with it at first but they didn’t deal well with me being gone and ended up bringing me home pretty much kicking and screaming. Unfortunately once I was back it was too much effort to move back and I didn’t want to hurt them so I stayed with them. Unfortunately there are days …a lot of them in fact that I really wished I would have stayed away...because no matter how much I love my friends and my family…there are just days I don’t want to be here if that makes sense.” She told him, blushing when she realized how much she rambled. “Sorry, I usually don’t talk that much.” She told him, feeling the heat on her cheeks.

The man dressed in white looked at Buffy and he smiled warmly at her. He looked at her curiously as she may have seemed a little weird about talking to him. He knew that’s how she felt, and he knew about her trust issues. He wouldn’t do anything to break her trust, though with everything that he lets happen to this world, he would be surprised if she didn’t trust him. If only she knew. Sometimes the man in white didn’t like that about him. He sometimes felt guilty that the things that happened had happened and he did nothing about it. He really didn’t want to be found and he didn’t want to get involved. He wanted it to go on the way its going.
The man in white who called himself Charles listened to Buffy talk. He listened and nodded to what she was saying. He knew exactly what the young blond slayer was talking about. He knew it all, what had happened to her. Everything. He felt for her and he let out a small silent sigh. He wished that he could make her feel happy again. He really didn’t have to wish, he could make it happen, though he knew that it wasn’t appropriate to do so. She needed to let time heal her.
“it makes perfect sense.” Charles said to her with a nod. “just give it time. Time will heal everything.” he then added to his previous statement. “and don’t apologize. I like talking to people and listening to them every once in a while, as long as they allow me to do so.”

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She thought about her ramble and wanted to groan out loud at how little sense it actually made. Again, she highly doubted that anyone would believe her if she said 'well, the real problem is that there was this hell god who was after the key...well the key just happened to be my sister. I stopped the hell god and then my watcher killed the host that she was sharing a body with in order to make sure that she wouldn't come back and take her anger out on those she loved. Well after I went up to get my sister I realized someone had already started the ritual. So since my sister and I shared blood it was either her or me who had to jump into that portal...so I did and ended up in heaven. Yeah, but my friends couldn't handle it so they did a ritual that involved god only knows what that literally put me back in my body and I woke up in my coffin, no longer in heaven but instead back in the hell that I was used to living in for years upon years.’ Yeah, she doubted that would at all go over well.
Thankfully it seemed that he seemed to understand at least a little bit and for that she was grateful.
"I hope so." She replied to his comment about time healing everything. "I know it's made it easier over the past few months...however it definitely hasn't erased it. I'm not even sure if I want to." She told him honestly, her mind racing at the thought of forgetting it all. She knew that Willow had done a forgetting spell back in the day and it had affected all of them. She remembered afterwards Dawn asking her if she wanted to forget and she had answered her honestly that she didn't. She couldn't imagine not having those memories if for no other reason to remind herself what she was fighting for.
Before she could say anything else her cell phone rang with a text message. She noted it was from Julie at Pathways that her order was ready. She looked up at the man apologetically. "I'm so sorry but I have to go." She told him before smiling. "Thanks for listening to me, it was really nice meeting you." She told him before waving, heading off to go find a way to bring back Angel from behind Angelus' dark persona.
Hopefully everything would be back to normal soon.
