- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She knew she was in no position to fight him. She hated to do it, was embarrassed to do it, but she had to be smart, she took off down the stairs, running out the front door and into the safety of the sunlight. She jumped into the car which she had left the keys in and sped off, knowing she needed to get cleaned up and try to gather her strength.
She couldn’t let this happen again. She needed Willow to get on finding a way to get Angel’s soul back and she needed to make sure Angelus didn’t hurt anyone else in the process. It was time.
As she drove towards the hotel that she had left Willow, Spike and Kathy in, her thoughts wondered to what had gone down between her and Angelus. Why she had let herself succumb to those wants and desires she had no idea. Where they had even come from, she had no idea. She knew that they had always been there, lurking within her. The darkness that many people had she could feel in her. She knew that her powers were rooted in darkness, though because she had chosen to use them for good that they weren’t evil. However with that said, being a slayer meant giving into that darkness sometimes. She didn’t like it, didn’t like to have to lose herself, but there were times that she needed that oblivion to do what needed to be done.
Unfortunately this wasn’t one of those times. She shouldn’t have given into her darker desires…she should have kept her distance. She couldn’t even imagine what she looked like at that moment, blood streaming her neck, her clothes and hair messed up, bruised, bloody, and yet her lips were probably the most telling. Her swollen red lips held nothing but the truth of what she had been doing and she prayed that everyone was asleep. If she could just get to the shower and make it to where no one would see her shame then it would be fine, though her luck she had a feeling wouldn’t hold that long.
She drove into the hotel parking lot, taking a deep breath before pulling down her visor and flipping open her mirror. Her eyes widened at the sight that she was. Her lips were worse than she had imagined, and her cheeks were flushed. She cringed at the wound on her neck because it wasn’t healing as quickly as it should. The blood was seemingly starting to clot but it still looked gruesome It was a horrible site and she wasn’t sure how she would get into the hotel without attracting a lot of attention.
She noted an employee entrance around back and then grinned. Perfect, a fire escape. She quickly exited her car, grabbing her jacket and pulling it around her, popping the color up so her neck was hidden by that and her hair. She made her way up the fire escape and threw a window in the hallway of one of the floors. Making her way into the elevator she sighed when no one was in it. She pressed her floor and waited, heading towards her hotel room and opening the door, her face down so she wouldn’t have to face anyone who was in the living area of the hotel at the time.

Spike suspected that Buffy wouldn’t have answered her phone, and he was right. It had only been a few hours since Faith had been flung at their room’s doorstep and from the time that she had been stabilized to now, he had become a little on edge. Now that they supposedly had a safer location, Spike wanted to go before dawn came up, for the sake of him and the little vampire. But first, they had to receive news from Buffy and now it was far past anytime where vampires could travel easily. The blond vampire fumed at how needlessly complicated this had become since Buffy wasn’t picking up her bloody phone. It would have been much better to just meet her at the new apartment. But, of course, life couldn’t work out well. Which is probably why he was still sitting on the floor next to the couch, twisting his shot glass around in his fingers. It wouldn’t do to have any more whiskey, considering Spike had drank two shots earlier already. But he was sorely tempted to have a third. Not a moment after thinking this, Spike’s head whipped towards the door. There was more blood. Slayer’s blood. The scent mixed in with Faith’s blood, which was still permeating the air, but this was a whole new one altogether. A shiver ran through him, knowing that this had to be Buffy. He pulled himself up as quickly as he could and all but ran to just shy of the door, which cracked open, revealing the Slayer. And oh, God. She was a far cry from looking like she was on death’s doorstep, but she was in death’s general vicinity. His front lawn, maybe. And the blood was too overpowering, so there had to be cuts or bites that she was trying to disguise. ”What the hell is this?” Spike demanded, his voice barely keeping level, threating to snap. In that moment, he didn’t give a damn about the other people in the room. Somehow his focus on Buffy was making the vampire ignorant of anyone else. But there was so much to absorb about the Slayer’s condition. On the one hand, Buffy was standing, which made things a little easier in the leaving the hotel room department. But on the other hand, Angelus’ scent was all over her. Not just a little, like they had made a few glancing blows, but everywhere, like it had been a no-holds-barred fight to the death… or like they had participated some other activity that Spike hoped wasn’t possible. Spike rushed to close the distance in between him and the Slayer, reaching out to pull away her hiked jacket collar, which was so obviously hiding a bite. Just peeling it back a little gave Spike a good enough view and he jerked his hand back before Buffy could slap it away. He could feel his body slip into complete tension as the pieces came together in his head in a split-second. From his jaw to his knees, everything was locked and straining to not move. Because when he did move, Spike was going to end up destroying something. Even so, Spike remained uncomfortably close to Buffy. He knew that Buffy’s instinct would be to run, to try and bluff her way out of this, and Spike was not going to allow this as much as he could. If she wanted to make a break for it, Spike was more than prepared to stop her. ”Bloody hell!” The vampire finally spat out, a hand going to the crown of his head, his fingers weaving through his hair as if he was going to rip it from his scalp. A million thoughts blurred through Spike’s skull. How could Buffy had been this careless? How much did Angelus drink from her? If Spike had been there, would it have made a difference? Nothing came to mind to say first, so Spike just went with venting the overwhelming amount of rage bubbling up inside of him, ”You sodding Slayers! Lining up like some cheap buffet for him.” He couldn’t tell what he was feeling. All of the emotions were packed so tightly in his brain, straining against each other so much that the vampire was feeling a new one every second. Everything seemed so wrong about how he was doing this, but if that was true, why did Spike feel so vindicated staring down at Buffy like this? He wanted to thank God she was alive and also wanted to punch her face so hard her jaw would be dislocated. His eyes flicked across Buffy’s form, his proximity making it easier for him to notice all the things she wanted to hide. Including her red, cracked lips. Spike’s entire body went from tense to hollow, a sickening feeling like someone just placed a weight around his throat. He tried to speak, but not even cruel quips could escape him. However, he still felt the anger festering just underneath this. There would be more words from him. As soon as he could get his thoughts straight. +++ TAGS: Willow, Faith, Buffy WORD COUNT: 848 NOTES: Oh dear lord. This is not going to be pretty.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Willow had taken a shower and changed, she was ready for when ever Buffy would get here. Willow hoped that it would be soon she was ready starting to worry about her, Willow usually didn’t worry for Buffy she could take care of herself. But with her taken on Angelus it was a little different, god only knows what could be going on between them. Willow really was sacred and hope that Buffy wasn’t going to come back looking like Faith, or even dead for that matter. Willow stood by the window looking out hoping to see Buffy’s car at any time now. Willow was shaking with every moment that went by, she got more and more scared by the minute. “Come on Buffy where are you?” Willow whispered to herself as she stood there. Willow had called Buffy more then once along with Spike and she wasn’t answering, which wasn’t a good sign it wasn’t like her not to answer her phone. Especially with Kathy here alone, Willow was just waiting for her to wake up and wonder were Buffy was freaking out. Willow didn’t know what she would do at that point, which is why she hopes she stays asleep. It seemed spike was worried for her to, Willow could tell by the way he was acting. He had done nothing but sit on the floor drinking whiskey waiting for her to call, if Willow didn’t have to stay sober to keep an eye on Kathy, she might think about joining him at this point. Willow couldn’t stop pacing back and forth she was worried, all she could think about was Angel killing her. She was trying to be negative to all this but this was Angelus, not exactly an easy fight for anyone. Especially for Buffy Willow can only imagine what she is going threw or feeling right now. Having to take on someone she love trying to kill her again, it sad to say that this has happened before. The Willow then noticed something was going on by the way spike was acting, maybe it was Buffy. “What is it? Is Buffy back or something?” Willow asked Spike before he took off to the door. When he pulled back the door there was Buffy, she had looked ten times worse then Faith did. Even though it did seem like she was taken the pain a lot better then Faith did, but that was how Buffy was never showing the pain. It seemed as though Buffy was also trying to hide some wounds as well, she had her collar on her coat pulled kind of high. Willow was lost to what was going on here, whatever it was spike was not happy. It wasn’t till Spike pulled back the collar yelling at her that Willow was getting it all. It seemed as though Buffy had let Angelus feed on her, but why would Buffy let him do such a thing? It could have been an accident and he forced it on her. “Buffy you didn’t let Angelus feed off of you right? I mean he had to of attacked you right Buff ?” Asked Willow waiting to see what she would say. Word Count- 540 Tagged- Buffy and Spike Outfit- Click for Willow's OutfitNote- ~~~~~~~~~~~
Only a few hours ago Faith had gotten into a bit of a tussle with Angelus. She'd found him having the time of his life, draining a couple of nobody waitresses. Obviously not that she was a goody little tooshoo she couldn't just walk away from it. So she'd attempted to stop him, though it hadn't worked very well for her. Angelus had been too hopped up on slayer's blood from the potentials. It made him too fast, too strong, almost impossibly so. He'd thrown her around like a rag doll before drinking from her and literally tossing her into the gang's motel door. She'd slumped to the floor and nearly died, though Spike had found her pretty quickly.
The blonde vampire had taken care of her. He had nursed her and taken care of her wounds gingerly. It had been quite the ironic scene; a vampire nursing a slayer back to health. The way he'd done it had been just so...well, she almost said sweet, but didn't want to admit that she thought of it like that. So instead it had been strange, among other things. However she wasn't thinking that Buffy would be too keen on the idea so she hoped that Spike wouldn't mention it to her. Although she thought that if anyone would mention it to Buffy, it'd be Willow. Willow had walked in on their "almost kiss", prior to doing the spell to heal the slayer.
However she was now feeling great, better than ever. The witch's spell had worked perfectly and better than anyone could have imagined. She felt her own power running through her body, she felt like she was tingling all over. It was as if the effects of the spell were still running through her. As if she was continuing to get stronger, to feel better than perfect. It felt amazing.
The slayer flicked to another channel on the television in the room. Nothing good was ever on. Faith swore that television had really gone in a downward spiral since when she'd been a child. Though she'd had a shitty childhood, one thing she had been able to enjoy had been television. She'd sometimes been forced to turn it up all the way just so she couldn't hear her mother's boyfriend yelling. Sometimes he beat her too, and she'd been forced to cover her ears as well. Nonetheless television was kind of a safety net for the slayer.
Spike had been sitting next to her, however as changed the channel once more he hopped off the couch. In under a second (or so it seemed) he was at the door, Buffy standing at the entrance. However all she could see was a bit of blonde hair, she couldn't really see her face. Hearing the pure anger in Spike's voice, Faith watched for a moment waiting for her fellow slayer to come inside. As Willow came inside and joined in on her too, she couldn't help but marvel at the other slayer.
So Angelus had drank from her too? God, he was probably so hopped up right now he was going to overdose. He now had her blood and Buffy's, plus the potentials. Jesus. This was not good, not good at all. Seeing the look of madness on Spike's face, Faith stood up from the couch and walked on over to the chaos. "Hey, give her some breathing room alright?" she said to Spike, warning him to move back a couple feet. Turning back to Buffy, she sized up her wounds. As she saw the swollen lips on the blonde slayer, she could only shake her head in disappointment. "B, I hope he looks as bad as you do.." she said seriously, though still disappointed in her fellow slayer. However Faith wasn't one to talk shit on anyone else's decisions. She knew she'd screwed up more in just a few years that most people did in her life. At hearing Willow's question, Faith quirked her head to the side at the blonde. "Judging by the lips...no, wait -- did you two do the dirty?!? Faith blurted out wildly. Okay so she probably shouldn't have said that, especially when Spike was already pissed off. However she hadn't been able to help it, it'd just come out. The blonde's clothes were messed up and crooked, hair was a mess and poofed up in the back, and the swollen lips? Pretty much told the story itself. However again, she wasn't going to say much about someone else's bad decisions. - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She groaned when she heard Spike’s voice ringing through the hotel room. Before she could even fully walk into the room and shut the door behind her the blonde vampire was in her space, moving the color of her jacket away from her neck. She honestly wasn’t thinking, couldn’t really think, her mind was a complete blank for several seconds and before she had a chance to regroup and slap him away he did it himself, jerking back. She groaned again, knowing out of everyone in that room the only possible worse person to face than Spike was Kathy and that was because she would have scared her with the way she looked right now.
She knew that Spike would be able to smell Angelus all over her. She prayed he couldn’t smell the arousal on her but had a feeling that being as accustomed to that particular scent as Spike had been a time ago that he would be able to pick up on it no problem. She knew this wasn’t going to end well, and the look on Spike’s face proved that. She knew this hurt him, and angered him, and she hated that. He was honestly one of her best friends, which was ironic seeing as he had been one of her mortal enemies at one time. At that moment she wasn’t sure if she preferred the mortal enemy bit or the best friend bit more. He was not a happy camper at all.
Her thoughts were running at full speed ahead, though a break in them hit here when he commented on slayers lining up like a buffet for Angelus. This made her wince, knowing that Faith had been bitten earlier that night as well. At that moment she wanted nothing more than to curl up in bed and cry. She had no idea what was wrong with her but clearly something with the way she had behaved that night. It hadn’t truly hit her what she had done until that moment with the look on Spike’s face…the one of anger and repulsion that he had truly never given her before. “I-…I…” She started but couldn’t get the words out. Hazel eyes filled with tears that she refused to let fall looked up into his angry ones, begging him to understand. Begging him to help her figure out what was wrong with her. He had been on the end of her quest to figure out the darkness in her at one time and she prayed he would help her through it…just in a different way than last time.
She jumped when she heard Willow’s voice and took a deep breath, knowing she couldn’t hide her appearance but prayed that her best friend wouldn’t look to closely at it. She groaned when Willow’s question hit the nail on the hammer. “I’m fine.” She stated, knowing that it wouldn’t do any good to try and avoid the question, but not knowing how to respond. In all fairness both answers were correct. He hadn’t attacked her so to speak and while yes she did let him feed off of her, she didn’t exactly know what she was doing and when it became too much she had gotten him away from her. She didn’t think any of her companions would like that answer though so she went for a lie, praying at least the red head would believe her. “It’s complicated.” She told them, not elaborating.
She sighed in relief when Faith walked in, though winced at her appearance. God how awful of a person was she? To do what she had done and yet not worry about her sister slayer. “He looks similar.” She told her bluntly, knowing that it was the truth. She had given as good as she had taken and they were both a bit banged up.
The blonde slayer groaned when her sister for all intents and purposes mentioned her lips before blurting out if they had done the dirty. “Jesus! No!” She yelled out before lowering her voice, not wanting to wake up the young vampire sleeping in the next room. How she had slept through this already she didn’t know but she prayed she would stay asleep through the rest of it. “We didn’t do the dirty as you so poetically put it.” She stated, sending a glare to the brunette slayer. “Now am I allowed to go take a shower so we can get out of here or are you guys going to interrogate me some more?” She asked, trying desperately to get away from the situation but having little idea on how to do so.
She couldn’t say anything to him. That was fan-bloody-tastic. Spike watched as her eyes began to glisten over with tears and it tore at him, but the hurt and fear he felt was winning out right now. God, didn’t Buffy know what it would do to him if he lost her again? What her friends would have to go through? It would kill Dawnie. No doubt about that. And he knew that Buffy was probably just as scared as he was. He could tell that she was lost, just like she was two or so years ago. But Spike’s features did not soften. No, he probably wasn’t going to take this anger out on Buffy completely, but there were consequences to be had for her behavior and Spike was not going to let her get off so easily. Willow, on the other hand, was just overflowing with concern, convinced it had to be an accident of some sort. Spike gave a little derisive scoff at this under his breath. No, how the hell could it have been Angelus just attacking her? Since it was the middle of the day, there was a much less likely chance of Angelus getting the jump on her, so it must have been a situation Buffy let herself get caught in. Add in her knowledge of Angel’s fighting style and her own experience of fighting all sorts of vamps, and it was nearly impossible for Buffy to be drained without her allowing it. That caused Spike’s stomach to twist right there. Could she have actually just laid there while Angelus drank her? It was the only rational explanation for how deep the bite seemed. Then, of course, Faith had to get involved. ”Well, I think Angelus didn’t give her any breathing room, so why should I?” The blond vampire snapped with a sneer, ignoring Faith’s warning to move back. If she thought that he could just make him calm down with a wave of her hand, the dark –haired slayer had another thing coming. When Faith just decided to just say what was on Spike’s mind, he nearly choked with all the rage that was filling him up. He let an aggravated huff pass his lips before staring back at Buffy, who was just as riled as Spike was that Faith would dare to say that her fellow Slayer would do that to a vampire. An evil vampire. Wait, no. An evil vampire who wanted to kill her. There, that was it. ”But you wanted to,” Spike said through his teeth in response to Buffy’s denial of having slept with Angelus, a smoldering glare plastered on his face. It destroyed him to piece it together, but the evidence was all there. Besides the scent which lingered about her, which Spike did remember from those couple of years ago, the amount of shame that Buffy was feeling about this was nearly tangible. Buffy’s shame was something that Spike knew very well. He couldn’t take it. He just couldn’t take it anymore. His legs finally unstiffened enough for him to move back towards the small living room, where he took up his plain shot glass, as if he was going to pour himself another drink. He stared at it for a moment, but then he drew back his arm and hurled the little glass against the wall with a scream of frustration. The sound was sharp and brittle as the glass broke, shattering into tiny fragments. But Spike felt a bit better. And at least that wasn’t Buffy’s jaw that he had broken into pieces. He ran his hands down his face and gave a heavy sigh, muttering to himself, ”I get it now.” He looked back at the three girls, his face clearly reading that he didn’t care what they thought of his little tantrum. ”Get,” The vampire ordered Buffy, jerking his head towards the bathroom as he came back to where the rest of them were. Whether the others liked it or not, he was taking over this situation. Willow was going to soften everything she said and Faith was going to treat it with less severity than it deserved or let Buffy off the hook too easily. Besides, Spike was sure he had all the all the answers Buffy needed already. What Buffy needed right now was a dose of cold reality, which happened to be Spike’s specialty. Willow could soothe her later. Faith could put things in perspective. And in a day or two, Spike would probably apologize for being a tosser. But that wasn’t right now, ”You have ten minutes, and then we’re all going to have a talk. If you’re not back by then, I swear to God I will break that door down and drag you out in a towel. Are we clear?”Spike reached out to grab the blond Slayer’s shoulder and turned her towards the bathroom, giving her a gentle push to make his point. The only reason he was letting her go was that he wanted to leave this stupid hotel room as much as Buffy did, sunlight or no. But Spike was serious about his time limit. This was going to be discussed, and he was going to be damned if he was going to let Buffy just run away to let her embarrassment consume her. As soon as he thought Buffy was out of earshot, he turned to the other two girls, ”Now, this is how it’s going to go. There’ll be no molly-coddling. No hand-holding. No poor Slayer. I’m talking to you, Red,” Spike warned the witch. He knew it would be too tempting for Willow to just try to make everything better through just saying it would be okay. “We get her back on her feet, we make a plan and then we get us and Kath to a safe place,” Spike listed out, throwing himself back down on the couch, where he could still keep an eye on the microwave’s clock, ”You can call me a bastard all you like, but I’m a bastard who wants us to live.”+++ TAGS: Willow, Faith, Buffy WORD COUNT: 1017 NOTES: Uhh... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~There had to be explanation to what was going here, there was no way that Buffy just let Angelus do whatever he wanted to her. Buffy wasn’t like that she hated Angelus because he was not Angel, when she was around him it just made her want her Angel back that much more. But who could blame Buffy in the past he had done some really bad things to the her and group, Willow being held by the neck was one of them. Not to mention the fish that he killed, which still hunts Willow in the night. She may never really get over it or get anymore fish. He did a lot of mental torture to Buffy at the time, even wrote on the wall to her in blood. This whole thing wasn’t going to turn out well in the end for any of them
Willow then had a though about something, Giles still didn’t know all this was going on yet. Which probably was a good thing that he didn’t, other wise he would kill Angelus right then and there. There wouldn’t be no Angel to come back. Buffy would not be very happy with that at all, even though Giles would be just trying to keep her safe after all. But who could really blame him after what Angelus had done. Killing the one person that he loved, in his own house none the less. It really was sad what he did to Jenny she will be missed always.
Willow could tell something was up with Buffy, just by the way she was trying to tell everyone that she was fine. Willow knew she wasn’t, they had been friends long enough she could tell. Everyone really did need to back off of her right now, Buffy was under enough pressure as is with Kathy. She all ready had to move to a new town to train and round up more slayers, found out Angel was back, and now deal with the fact that now Angelus was now back. It really had been a crazy couple of months for them. “Ok guys she said she is fine so lets give her some breathing room so she can calm down, then she can tell us what is going on here.” Said Willow. She knew that Buffy had needed a breather, other wise she wasn’t going to be tell them anything. But of course as always Spike couldn’t calm down, especially when it came to anything that had to do with Angel and Buffy.
Spike was not happy at all what was going on with Buffy at all, he actually was starting to get kind of loud with her. Willow wondered how long Buffy was going to let him talk to her like that, Buffy never really let anyone talk or treat her that way, especially Spike. He then had said something directed to Willow as well. Her eyes shot up when he said something to her. “Go ahead Spike I’m listening, trust me anything you have to say to Buffy you can say to me too.” Said Willow. You really could tell she was mad by the sound of anger in her voice. She was really getting sick of Spike attitude right now, it really was the last thing they all needed right now.
When Spike went over to the couch to sit down, Willow lost it she could take how he was being anymore. It was time for Willow to have the floor and get her two cents in. “Ok Spike listen here you wont be doing anything to Buffy, she just went threw something traumatic with Angel cant we cut her a bit of a break. I mean I’m sure that Buffy has a reason for why it went down they way that it did.” Willow then looked over to Buffy. “Buff go get cleaned up and you and I will take when you are ready, ok” Willow looked back to Spike “And you wont be dragging Buffy out of any bathroom, I know your past with miss treating woman in bathrooms and it wont happen here. Not on my watch, you got it!” Willow yelled to spike. Willow knew that she gotten on a touchy subject there with Buffy and Spikes past, but she had to find someone to hurt him and shut Spike up. Hopefully it doesn’t cause him to walk out on them, because right now they kind of needed him.
One thing that popped into Faith’s mind was that Angelus probably had a smug ass look on his face right now. He was probably flying high with ecstasy at the pure thought of almost getting down and dirty with a slayer. Not because he was attracted to slayers especially or anything, being a vampire and all, but more so because it was a triumph for him. In a way it probably showed him how weak her fellow slayer truly was. How easily she would crumble given the chance and hell, how defeated she probably felt. This was only the beginning though and Faith knew that this mistake would be corrected soon. Buffy would pull her head out of her ass and do whatever she needed to make things right again; she always did. A small smirk appeared on her face as she watched Spike huff about. He was such a big baby when it came to the blonde slayer. Although she wondered if this vampire truly just did like slayers. Only hours ago he was nursing Faith back to health so gingerly that it was almost shocking. Now he was huffing and puffing at Buffy as if he were her angry big brother. It was endearing a bit but also slightly irritating. Maybe not to Faith, but probably to Buffy for sure. All of them listened as she began to explain, but no words came out. It didn’t surprise the brunette one bit. Honestly, what could Buffy say? No matter what she said, all of them were going to flip out. Well at least Spike and red would, Faith was worried but found it slightly amusing as well. Sneering at Spike the slayer turned, her eyes seeming to drill a hole into his brain angrily. He had ignored her command, threat, whatever you call it, and was giving her lip as well. This wasn’t her fucking fault, so why should he turn on her to take out his anger? ”Listen blondie, take a chill pill and go make yourself a mug” Faith snapped right back at him, obviously belittling him. She wasn’t in the mood for his bullshit right now, and neither was Buffy by the looks of it.
All of them watched in horror as Spike realized what had happened. As Spike caught on to the fact that maybe it hadn’t been accidental, that maybe Buffy had wanted it all along; maybe that she’d even wanted more. He exclaimed his anger before throwing a shot glass into the wall. It shattered and about a million little pieces flew to the ground, creating a shiny surface across the carpet. She looked back to him angrily. ”Okay tough guy. What did the shot glass do to you?” Yeah she was definitely stirring up trouble but she didn’t care, he was acting childish whether he wanted to admit it or not. Hearing that the situation was too complicated to be explained, Faith quirked an eyebrow to Buffy questioningly. She gave her a look that basically said, ‘bitch, you better tell me later’. With another small smirk she decided not to speak on the subject. Obviously it wasn’t something Buffy wanted to talk about, or she would have elaborated. Again she felt like she just needed some space from everyone. The brunette nodded. ”Good to hear” she replied, glad that the other slayer at least got some shots in before she got sucked on. God, that sounded so gross. Although it kind of was? The slayer then burst out laughing at hearing Buffy’s exclaim and denial of her and Angelus getting down and nasty. Small chuckles filled the room but as Buffy lowered her voice, she cut herself off, not wanting to wake Kathy either. Lord only knew how long the little girl had been sleeping. She’d luckily slept through Faith’s entire ordeal and now, luckily enough, it seemed as if she’d miss Buffy’s too. She must just be too upset to stay awake? Before long Buffy was on her way to the shower. Spike turned to her and the witch like a fucking drill sergeant. If he kept up the ‘tude they were going to have serious problems between the two of them. She didn’t take orders, not from anyone. Except Buffy sometimes and okay maybe Angel, but that was certainly the end of that list. Her head tilted to the side and she went to question his authority, but let it slide by her this time. Honestly she only choose to ignore it for now because he was aggravating her. Plus he’d only truly given red commands, not her, so whatever. She shrugged her shoulders showing that she didn’t care what they did, and plopped down on the couch next to Spike. However Willow then surprised them all. She burst out yelling at Spike, mentioning some incident that had happened previously in a bathroom? Faith had never heard anything about it, so it couldn’t have been all that terrible could it have been? Her eyes immediately turned to Spike, darting over to his quickly. ”What the --?” she asked, cutting herself off before she swore again. Lately she’d been trying to work on that, however it seemed that last couple hours had kind of killed that goal. Faith sincerely hoped that Spike hadn’t done anything to Buffy in a bathroom and maybe Will was talking about someone else. Not only would she think less of him, but she’d also kick his ass into next week. Her arms crossed over her chest as she turned on the couch to glare at him, waiting to hear his bullshit response.
- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She ignored Spike’s comment about wanting to ‘do the dirty with Angelus’ as Faith had so poetically put it. She knew he was mad and just trying to rile her up, but she refused to be baited. She knew she had been wrong, and knew that she deserved the anger that he so clearly felt. She knew that they would have to figure out a way to get past this at a later time, because right now was clearly not that time. She hated the distance she felt him putting between them, but there was nothing she could do about that at the moment.
She knew that Spike was in the right at the moment. She needed someone to take over the situation because she was at a loss on how to do so. She nodded her head once, ignoring the breaking glass and the mumble about getting it now. She would take whatever he said to her because she knew she deserved it. She felt him grab her shoulder and push her towards the bathroom, hearing his words but finding no ire or elation in them. Just cold hard truth. It was Spike was best at and she knew it was helping him deal to use what he knew.
She sighed when Willow tried to step in. “Wills…” She stated in a soft voice, a voice that clearly stated how defeated she was feeling at that moment. “It’s okay.” She told her, voice no more than a whisper. She didn’t need Willow and Spike getting into it about him bossing her around. She knew he was right and to be honest she found a bit of comfort in his take charge attitude. Clearly her mind was all mucked up at the moment and as much as she hated to admit it, she needed someone who was going to get the job done.
She didn’t stick around to listen to what everyone had to say, instead she went to the room that Kathy was currently sleeping in and crept in, grabbing the bag she had grabbed out of the car when they had arrived. It was a simple shopping bag full of clothes that she hadn’t had time to put in the house the day before everything had went to hell. Once she had that she grabbed her large purse from where she had dropped it by the bathroom door.
Closing and locking the door behind her, though knowing it was a mute point as Spike and Faith could easily break the door down if they so chose, she turned to look at the mirror. Her face looked even worse than she thought. Her lips were still bruised, though she had a cut above them that she didn’t remember how it came to be there. She shook her head, knowing she needed to get a move on. Stripping out of her jacket and then her shirt, she looked down, wincing at the bruises on her stomach and the ones she could feel on her back. Sliding her pants down she noted she had a few bruises on her legs but nothing horrible. The ones that made her sick were the ones in the shape of fingers on each one of her hips. She could tell that was where Angelus had gripped her as they had been writhing against each other.
She turned her face up, not wanting to stare at her body any longer. Usually she was proud of her toned body, right now it just made her sick. She quickly turned on the shower head, grabbing her makeup bag out of her purse. She had a small bottle of shampoo and a small bottle conditioner inside it, knowing from experience that she needed to have a little bit of the essentials with her at all times. Pulling out the third small bottle which was filled with her body wash, she quickly got into the shower, wincing as the hot water hit her sore and bloody body. She watched as the water slowly turned a pink color while washing away the blood that was caked on her. She waited until the water was clear again before going about doing what she needed to do.
She put a small amount of shampoo in her hand before scrubbing it into her hair, wanting to feel clean but knowing it would take a lot more than the small amounts of personal hygiene products she had with her to allow her that feeling. She had a feeling a whole liter of body wash wasn’t going to scrub the shame off of her, so she didn’t even try. Rinsing the shampoo out of her hair she quickly put a bit of conditioner on the ends, leaving it there for a moment before grabbing the small bottle of body wash and taking the washcloth on the side of the shower.
She cleaned her wounds carefully, knowing that getting body wash inside them would allow them to get infected and she didn’t have time for that today. Once she was as clean as she could get she rinsed the conditioner out of her hair. She stood there for another few moments before stepping out, though she left the shower on. She needed a bit of time to get herself together before going out there, and she hoped if the shower was still on no one would walk in and try to drag her out…though in all actuality she wouldn’t put it past Faith or Spike to drag her out naked if they felt it was time to go. Putting a towel around her and one around her hair she grabbed the shopping bag, trying to be as quiet as possible to not alert anyone, namely Spike, that she was not still in the shower.
She groaned as she saw what was in this current shopping bag. Damn, this was going to hide nothing and that wasn’t what she wanted to deal with. Unfortunately she had no other choice. It was either the clothing in the bag, or the bloody ones that were more suited for the trash than even the washing machine. She quickly grabbed the flared jeans out of the shopping bag and pulled them up over her legs. She looked at the belt she had bought but as she buttoned the pants, wincing as they hit the finger-like bruises on her hips, she discarded it, knowing that it would irritate her already sore hips. She quickly pulled on the black bra and black tank top, wincing at the bruises on her arms that were clearly visible.
Running the brush that she had stashed in her purse (what woman didn’t?) she then scrunched her hair before throwing some gel into it, giving it a wet curly look. Her eyes lit up as she started to dwell on how she looked, remembering that she had a sweater jacket out from when she had shown up earlier. She sighed in relief before shutting the shower off. She stood against the sink, taking a deep breath before exhaling. She just had to do it, deal with it and face them. She had to gather her damn courage that she knew was somewhere around here and just deal.
Another deep breath taken before she started cleaning up the bathroom. Putting her toiletries back in her makeup beg, the clothes that she had worn earlier in the shopping bag, to be disposed of when they weren’t in a hotel, and grabbing her purse she opened the door, a cloud of steam signaling her arrival back into the open room.
Spike wished with all his being Buffy would take action—smack him in the face, snap out a one liner, anything. He had prodded and acted like a complete fool, but the Slayer was gone from her head. All he had managed to do was make the other two girls in the room annoyed. Then again, the way they were acting rubbed Spike the wrong way too. ”I’m sorry, am I the only one concerned that it’s a bleeding miracle Buffy isn’t dead? Again?” Spike scowled. God, just as he thought, the two girls might as well be treating this as a frilly piece of gossip or some high school breakup. Yeah, the woman was standing, but her expression was plainly a cry for help, an appeal for someone to take her burden and do something, not to be patted on the head. Faith even laughed when Buffy vehemently denied sleeping with Angelus. It was a wonder that it was just the shot glass that he threw against the wall. Spike understood that he, out of all of them, probably knew what Angelus was capable of the most, but the rest of them should have had some idea, considering that one of them nearly died from Angelus herself. It aggravated him to no end that they wouldn’t take this seriously for some unknown reason. Was it really so vile of him to hold Buffy accountable when she had known what she was getting herself into? And he knew that Willow and Faith thought he was going overboard. Even Spike could recognize that his behavior was infantile and stupid and he was displacing his anger onto them and inanimate objects like an idiot. He was surprised that Faith had even deigned to sit next to him with what an asshat he was being. But even then, he had no desire to apologize for his actions. He withstood being told off and scolded by the other two girls, merely gritting his teeth rather than replying. No good would come of retaliating, not for him anyway. Then Willow threw one more verbal sling at him and that one hit deep. Spike had felt horrible pain before—his insides liquefying, his hands being chopped off, being set on fire by the sun and a thousand other vicious hurts. And this one petite witch reminding him of that was just as agonizing as any wound Spike had ever suffered. The mere mention of his grotesque mistake brought back the look of pure loathing Buffy had, the broken tone of her voice when she had finally flung him across the room. He supposed that he was treating Buffy somewhat similarly right now with his glowering looks and sharp jabs. He also supposed that it probably stung her in all the same ways he had felt. ”She… forgave me,” Was all the vampire said after a long pause, his words slow and clumsy. But it was evident in his voice that he knew whatever he said didn’t matter and that Willow’s words had struck home. That one moment was his low point, the thing that he would never be redeemed for. He had already gone to Hell once and he was sure that when his time was up again, he would go back there, despite anything he could do to try to make amends. Spike cast his sight on the floor, knowing that both Willow and Faith were boring holes into his head with their glares and that he couldn’t look either of them in the eye. If he did, either of them might try to crack his skull open on the coffee table. He only looked back up when he heard the bathroom door click open, and Buffy emerged. He wasn’t sure if she had kept to the timeline he wanted, but it didn’t really matter at this point. The mixture of time and Willow berating him had blown away most of his anger, leaving him with the feeling of slightly poignant frustration. Despite this, he worked past the feelings and the hurt and got up from the couch, gesturing for Buffy to take his spot. Well, at least she could have the option to sit. In any case, Spike crossed his arms and waited for the blond Slayer to draw nearer. He was sure that Willow and Faith would be probably be full of questions and he knew that Buffy didn’t want that right now. If she could have answered those questions, she would have already. So before anyone else could get a word in, Spike spoke. ”You’re trying to feed it again,” The vampire looked Buffy in the eye. Or nearly in the eye—his bravado had been pretty thoroughly trampled and he was still attempting to recover it, ”You thought if you get enough darkness, enough humiliation in you, it’d be easier to face him. Funnel all that pain into strength. But it didn’t work. He used it against you.””Angelus is smart. And you forgot that. I don’t know how you got out of his grasp, but if you hadn’t, he’d have drained you dead, easy. ‘Course, you know that,” Spike’s voice got a bit lighter, and a bit of snark edged back into it. He wasn’t about to mince what he was going to say next, ”But while you were trying to slut-shame yourself, I guess it slipped your mind that without you, a great deal of people are suddenly not going to care much about bringing your Angel back. And that’ll end in a bunch of dead Scoobies, or one dusty Angelus. Probably a bit of both.””You want your happily ever after? You gotta find another way this time,” Spike finally worked up enough courage to finally look Buffy straight on, his eyes begging her for trust, in spite of his callous behavior, ”This one, you’re not doing alone.”+++ TAGS: Willow, Faith, Buffy WORD COUNT: 980 NOTES: I must be a sadist to like this thread so much...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Willow knew that she really had crossed the line for what she had said to Spike, juts by the reaction she had gotten from Buffy and Faith. But she couldn’t help it with the way he was being to Buffy right now he really disserved it. Plus it may have been in the past but It still happened, Spike still pushed Buffy down and he still bruised her. Willow knew that still to this day it hurts Buffy still and she will never forget it no matter what Spike says. “Buffy you know its not ok, you are really going threw some stress right now. And of course all Spike can think about is that you let Angelus touch you.” Willow looked over to Spike. “I’m I right Spike.” Willow turned back to Buffy putting her hand on her shoulder. “Look I don’t know what you did with Angelus and it could be good and it could be bad. But like I said you go take a shower and the we can talk when you are back and feel better.” Willow said to Buffy with a smile.
Willow walked back over to talk to Spike, he Spike had said something about Buffy forgiving him for it. Which might be true but it still didn’t change the fact on what happened to Buffy. Spike knew that Buffy was going threw stress right now and she didn’t need him hounding her, if Spike was so much of a friends like he said he was he would be there for Buffy and stop yelling at her. “Look Spike I’m sure she did forgive you and I’m sorry for hitting such a soft spot, but Buffy is really stressing out right now. She lost the man she loves again, I mean come on Spike you know how she feels about Angel. And if you care so much about her you will support whatever she does right now in this time, even if it mean letting Angel bite her.”
Willow kind stopped to thin about that for a moment, she wondered what Buffy’s end game was for that. But she did have to have a reason to let Angel bite her, or she just down right couldn’t stop him. “You know Spike I really don’t know why she let Angel do what she did, but I’m like you I do want to know. But yelling at her might not be the answer to what is going on. When she comes out we will try talking to her, but lets try to do it calm like manner. We really don’t need to be yelling I really don’t want to wake and upset Kathy. Poor girl losing her Brother after she just got him back. God only knows what she is feeling right now.” Said Willow.
Willow then looked over at Faith to see how she was doing, she really did take a beating from Angelus tonight. It was a miracle that she was even still alive, Willow was really sacred they were going to almost lose Faith again. “So Faith how are you doing over there?” Asked Willow. “You really aren’t saying much over there, what is on your mind with all of this? You think that Buffy is ok Faith?” Willow asked Faith with her being a Slayer just like Buffy, wondering if she had any idea on what was even going threw Buffy’s head right now. Plus some Slayers do have a bit of a dark side and if anyone knows about that it would be Faith. So maybe she would know why Buffy was doing what she was doing.

Obviously, Buffy was no child. She didn’t need to be berated and bitched at by Spike. She wasn’t a kid and he certainly wasn’t her father. She was a grown ass adult and could make her own decisions. Faith knew and understood this. While she worried about her fellow slayer, she also knew that she could handle herself. Well normally she could. Faith couldn’t help but wonder if it was different when considering Angel. Or, Angelus for that matter. Perhaps her thinking wasn’t as logical as usual. Nonetheless she had made her bed and would lie in it, hopefully not literally, and would deal with it on her own. Spike needed to seriously cut out the shit before Faith backhanded him. Not only was he pissing her off, but deep down she knew she’d kind of enjoy it.
Even through all of the redemption she’d been through over the years, there was still a certain darkness in her. One that no matter what she did, wouldn’t disappear or go away. It remained in the back of her mind and her soul and it pecked at her, constantly just pecking. It took all she had to ignore it and to do good. Of course she would never admit any of this to anyone and never had. Since Angel had been in town, she figured she could have talked to him. However we wasn’t here very long before he lost his soul. Plus she wasn’t even sure if Buffy wanted Faith and Angel to be friends. Of course Faith would do it anyways, though she preferred not having blondie glare at her for talking to her boyfriend. Although Faith had tried for a sexual relationship with him before, it had only been a cry for help. They were only friends and hadn’t ever gone past that point. If Spike had pushed Faith like he’d just pushed Buffy, she would have reared back and knocked him the fuck out. However she knew that Buffy was feeling as if she deserved to be treated like shit. As if she were a terrible dirty slut, and not the perfect slayer she normally was. Well in Faith’s eyes, one mistake didn’t make you a fuck-up. Not one bit and no matter if she thought so or not, she didn’t deserve to be treated like this by him or anyone else. He definitely needed to cool it soon if he didn’t want to get a can of ass whoopin’. Faith scoffed at the vampire at his next comment. Her head snapped around to look at him. ”Let’s just face it Spike. If Angelus really wanted to kill her, she’d probably be dead. Obviously she let her guard down, and he hadn’t” she said, trying to reason with him. They all knew that Angelus was very dangerous. However Faith also knew that if he wanted Buffy dead, he would have killed her as it looked like he’d had plenty of chances. More than likely he hadn’t wanted to kill her tonight anyways. Seeing the hurt in Spike’s eyes, she felt a bit bad that Willow had brought up this whole bathroom ordeal. Still she had no clue what had happened. However whatever it had been, it was obviously quite serious. He seemed hurt and ashamed all at the same time. The brunette felt herself growing more and more anxious, wanting to know what the hell they were talking about. It would be immature to ask though, so she waited to see if she would be told. Probably not, Faith…obviously it was something really bad… she thought to herself. Both Faith and Willow seemed to watch and listen, not speaking a word went Spike went on another ramble. When he began to speak about darkness, she immediately felt herself very interested in what he was saying to the blonde. Honestly in her own opinion, he had nailed it right on the head. ”Why are we all making assumptions? We don’t even know what happened yet, Spike, so quit lecturing her and give her a chance to talk.”
Although it seemed to interrupt his mini-speech, she didn’t care. That was just who Faith is. Faith is brazen and she’s rude sometimes, and it doesn’t bother her in the least. As the vampire finished, she looked to him carefully. He was treading on pretty harsh waters, talking about dusting Angelus. They all knew that Buffy wouldn’t ever let them happen, she’d die first. Just even mentioning it probably pissed her off. Although she did agree with one thing that he’d said. ”He is right though. You’re not doing this alone.” It was probably surprising to them to hear her say this, considering Angelus had nearly killed her only days ago. However this only made her angry. Anger made her fight better, made her fight better. Slayers used emotions to draw on them during a fight, something Buffy had obviously tried to do and failed. Looking over to Willow, she gave a small though it looked pretty pathetic. ”I think..I don’t know. I think we need to take care of Angelus, now.” A certain fire flashed in her eyes just then. She wanted him taken down. Not killed, but taken care of, and soon. If not for them, for Buffy and Kathy. - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She waited a second to see if anyone immediately rushed at her when she left the bathroom. Breathing a sigh of relief when she noted that everyone was still in the outer living room she snuck into the back bedroom, putting the shopping back full of the soon to be trashed clothing and her purse down against the closet. Taking a look at the bed she smiled sadly at the young vampire sleeping. She was curled up on her side, almost in a fetal position, though her face looked relaxed which in her opinion was a very large miracle after the night and morning they had all had.
She crept over silently to the side of the bed, kneeling down and looking at the innocent face of the immortal eleven year old. She looked even smaller when she was sleeping and yet she could clearly see Angel’s features within her. Brushing the brown curls out of her face she leaned down, placing a small kiss on the young vampire’s forehead before pulling the covers up over her, wanting to make sure she was comfortable. She wasn’t sure why she was suddenly extremely maternal when it came to Kathy, but she vowed then and there that no one would harm a hair on her head.
She stood up silently, walking away and heading out the door, closing it with a soft ‘click’ behind her before heading towards the outer living room. She couldn’t avoid them forever. She took one last glance in the mirror that she passed and groaned, knowing that no one was going to be happy with the bruises on her arms. She moved her hair so it was hanging in front of her shoulders, hiding as much as possible of the bite mark that was quickly healing, though it would always remain there as a permanent scar…just like Angel’s had. She had researched the reasoning for why Angel’s bite had scarred and why the master’s nor Dracula’s hadn’t…and finding out that she had been taken as Angel’s mate had almost been her undoing. It had taken a lot of meditation and a few rounds with a punching bag before she had convinced herself not to storm Los Angeles in a rage at finding out that Angel and her were mated, which was pretty much married in the vampire world, and he had still left her. She had never brought it up to him that she knew, but she had a feeling eventually it would come out.
She gathered her courage and marched into the living room, noting that her jacket was on the other side and she had to pass in between everyone in order to get it. She had overheard everyone yelling but paid no attention to what was being said, intent on retrieving her jacket to cover herself up with. Once she had it in her hands she slipped it on, sighing in relief at the feeling of being at least partially protected before tuning into what those around her were saying. “Who forgave you for what?” She asked Spike as the first strains of what was going on around her finally hit her ears. Before she could get a reply he finally spoke to her. She hated that he was right. She was trying to feed her darkness again. It was the reason she had used him the year before when she had slept with him. She had used him to feel something, anything, but it was really the darkness she had craved. She nodded her head, agreeing with him though it was clear she hated to do it. "You're right." She stated softly, her eyes down in embarrassment.
She listened as Spike spoke about Angelus being smart and nodded again when he stated that she was lucky. Her head shot up however when he stated that it had escaped her mind that if Angelus would have killed her no one would have cared to bring him back. He was right, and it was like a knife to the gut when she realized that it wasn't just her life she was playing with, it was Angel's as well. If she wanted to get technical about it then it was all of their lives she was playing with. If someone dusted Angel then they'd both be gone, but if Angelus got the upper hand then her friends and family would be dead...or worse. Her eyes welled with tears that she fought back in order to keep them from shedding.
She looked into his eyes, seeing them pleading with her and she broke. Two tears fell down her cheeks and she didn't bother to wipe them away. "I'm sorry." She stated, feeling as if she had disappointed him in a way that she could never take back. "I-I..." She trailed off, not sure how to respond but knowing she had to try. "I hate this." She stated, her voice breaking and soft, though still with an undertone of strength that would be almost impossible to rival. "We were JUST getting things back on track and then this happens!" She stated, anger starting to take over as the predominant emotion she was feeling. She bit her lip, trying to calm herself. Blowing up at Spike would do absolutely no good and she didn't want to be on his bad side at the moment. She needed him in her corner on this one, because in all actuality he was one of the people who knew her best.
She smiled softly at Faith for trying to stand up for her but unfortunately she was wrong. Angelus would have drained her dry if she wouldn't have gotten away...either that or the worst imaginable thing could have happened and it didn't hit her until now that he could easily do it. Angel knew her biggest fear was being turned into a vampire. If Angel knew it, it meant that Angelus did as well. She knew that a slayer turned into a vampire would literally rule the underworld. With that being said the slayer turned vampire would also rid the world of all humanity...and she would do it with a smile on her face. She cringed to think about it and tried to push it back to the dark recesses of her brain. She could NOT afford to let that happen.
"Spike's right. I was flirting with not only my own death and destruction, but unknowingly flirting with Angel's as well as all of yours...and for that I'm sorry." She told them honestly. "I didn't let my guard down so to speak." She continued, knowing that now that she was talking that she couldn't stop or else she wouldn't start up again. "I just...I couldn't walk away. I don't know why I am drawn to him in the way that I am but it's something that I cannot control. It's not the same as it is with Angel. Angel draws me to him yes but in a comforting way because I love him and I know he loves me. I can feel his soul calling out to mine whenever he's near...but I can ignore it if I want. With Angelus, I cannot control it. Even now as I'm sitting here with you I can feel his being calling out for me to come to him and it gets harder every minute to deny myself." She stated, hating herself for how weak she sounded but knowing she had to try and explain it as best as she could.
She nodded silently when they stated that she wouldn't be doing anything alone, though in the back of her mind she knew that she wouldn't give anyone else the chance to go after him. She couldn't hold herself back that long and she knew it. She needed help, but she also needed him...and that thought terrified her. "Willow I need you to start working on finding a way to make Angel's damn soul permanent. I'm sick of constantly walking on eggshells because of some revenge driven gypsies!" She stated, her anger coming back in full force, this time using it to gather herself back up to her normal persona. "I know that we won’t have a way in time because we are already out of time, but we have to find a way. I can't risk losing any of you, and I won't risk Kathy's life." She stated firmly. "I already called into Julie and she's overnighting us the stuff that we need to recurse him. Apparently she knew of the restoration ritual I spoke of and knew the ingredients I needed. As soon as it's there she's going to call me and we'll go get it." She stood up, pacing the room, bringing her arms close to her body to try and stave off the chill that she felt, though if it was from the knowledge that she would have to be near Angelus again or simply from the air condition that had just kicked in she didn't know.

Spike could only give a bit of a sour look to no one in particular when Willow hit upon that he was acting crazy because Angelus and Buffy had some little fling. Yeah, she wasn’t completely wrong, Spike couldn’t deny that. But the feelings he was having were a lot more complex than that. There was the issue of Buffy casually playing with her life as well as others, not to mention that Angelus having this type of control over her was a problem, whether or not Spike still had feelings for Buffy. It might be a problem that none of them could do anything about, but it was still dangerous. And he had planned to keep this inside, but the red-headed witch continued, with something that just baffled Spike. How on God’s green earth could anyone ever think that having a vampire bite a Slayer was an intelligent strategy—especially one that had been put on Slayer steroids already? Perhaps Buffy’s condition had put the witch into a state of panic, because Spike couldn’t think of any other reason why Willow would say such a thing. The vampire struggled with it for a moment, but his impulse to comment won out. He scoffed, but managed to keep his voice level, despite the ire he felt, ”Listen, Red. I’ll make you a deal. I’ll stop yelling, and you can stop pretending that Buffy has the situation under control. You want me to support Angelus biting her? Why don’t you just ask me to support setting plump little babies on fire or shoving my arm down a wood chipper?”But he shut up again when the witch mentioned Kathy. The last thing Spike wanted to upset the little vampire. So, yes, he knew he wouldn’t be raising his voice again tonight. Or he would try very hard not to. And soon after that Buffy returned to them, and asked about who exactly forgave Spike. There was no way in hell that he was bringing that up with Buffy right now. The little talk that he and Buffy had in that church when she figured out he had a soul was probably the closest he could get to talking to her about that. That wasn’t the drama they needed to deal with anyway. So Spike basically outright ignored that question in order to give his short speech, which Faith interrupted. Not that he really minded her interjection; it was good that he wasn’t the only one talking. And, yes, even though he had a pretty good idea of what happened, Faith was right that he didn’t know the whole story. The blonde Slayer just took what he was saying though, agreeing with him, because frankly, Spike was more or less correct. He couldn’t put it in nice, soothing terms, as much as he wished he could have. But it was neither in his ability nor nature to be kind when it came to a situation like this. But when those tears fell, all Spike could think about was what a bastard he was. He finally let the fear and irritation out of his expression and the concern and worry replaced them, ”Don’t apologize,” The vampire murmured in the pauses of Buffy struggling to put a sentence together. He didn’t need an apology. He needed to make sure she didn’t go off and get herself killed again. And he could only nod when Buffy had her outburst about things falling apart, though Spike personally thought it was a bit naïve to think they’d all live peaceful lives. Bad things always happen everywhere, as he once said. Being vindicated by Buffy didn’t really make him feel better, though Spike did hope it would get the other two girls off his back for a second. Her reaction to him explaining how her death could lead to Angel’s was interesting, since Spike thought he would only be organizing things Buffy already knew. But it appeared as if she really hadn’t thought about how her death would impact everyone. And he supposed if she hadn’t thought of it, the other two might not have as well. And while Faith was right that Angelus liked to play games, Spike was sure that once Angelus had trapped Buffy, he wouldn’t play cat and mouse with her without a very good reason. Angelus had let Spike and Faith go to be messages, to show that even strong fighters didn’t stand a chance against him. But killing Buffy would free him from a feeling that tormented him, not to mention get rid of his top enemy. ”Slayers and their bloody death wish,” Spike rolled his eyes, commenting on Buffy’s draw to Angelus with only a touch of bitterness, ”He said you loved him. When we fought. Guess this is what he meant.” This experience had made Spike suddenly understand what Angelus had told him. At first, he thought that the other vampire had meant that Buffy’s love for Angel applied when he was Angelus, but this made things much more clearer. It was two distinct types of desire. Spike just still wasn’t sure that it counted as love. As Buffy went through her plan to at least get Angel’s soul back to him, Spike let himself sit on the ground, feeling no anger, nor sadness. Just a kind of emptiness. Buffy seemed to be getting it back together, because she was right. They had run out of time and options. With the blood of seven Slayers coursing through him, Angelus would physically overpower any of them. Especially since he knew they were here, ”We’re going to a new apartment tonight, yeah?” Spike looked to Buffy for a simple confirmation, hoping to God that the apartment was ready. He absolutely agreed that they couldn’t risk Kath and the apartment where Angelus couldn’t enter would be much safer for all of them. +++ TAGS: Willow, Faith, Buffy WORD COUNT: 979 NOTES:~

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Willow paced back and fourth wondering when Buffy was going to come out of the room, she still not came back after what had happened with everyone. She hoped that Buffy was doing ok in there, she had been in there for awhile. Willow almost walked to the door to see how she was doing, but before she could knock she didn’t worried that Buffy might need to deal with this alone. Plus Buffy wasn’t to far from where Kathy was sleeping so the last thing she needed was to wake her up, now was not the time. Willow just walked back over sitting on the chair waiting a bit longer. But if Buffy wasn’t back anytime soon Willow was going in there.
Willow walked back over to Willow and Faith jumping back into convection. “You know Spike Faith is right, If Angelus wanted her Dead she would be. I mean why would he kill her when he rather play games, cant play games with a dead Buffy you know.” Said Willow. Faith was right though there was no reason for anyone to be making any up anything they didn’t know yet, Buffy hadn’t told them the whole story. For all they know it might not even be that bad, but them picking on Buffy probably did make it worse. “Yeah Spike don’t worry Buffy will tell us what’s wrong, you know she will. I mean last I checked you knew about her being in heaven before we all did, so it sounds like me she feels she can confide in you. But if you keep treating her like this I don’t know if she will anymore.” Said Willow
They did need to take care of Angelus and soon, it seemed that every time they took him on he got worse. The last time Willow had to go to L.A. and help deal with him it was pretty bad then, he almost killed Faith. So this time Willow was pretty sure he had to be unstoppable this time. “We need to get Angels soul back to him and soon, not just for us but for Kathy sake. She needs her brother back and soon, she cant make it with out him.”
Willow then heard a door open up, Willow turned it was Buffy finally making her way back into the room. It seemed as though n one had noticed her yet, but Willow did she was worried about her after all. And from the looks of her She didn’t seem very happy at all in the lest, but she looked was a lot more calmer then before. Willow was sure though that Spike was probably going to get it. Willow was just waiting for another fight to break out.
But something happen that Willow didn’t expect from Buffy, she begin to break down to Spike. She was saying how she was sorry for what she had done, talking about how much she hated all of this. Willow heart begin to break for Buffy, she walked over to Buffy patting her on the back as she begin to talk. “Its ok Buffy we know this is hard with Angel and all, but don’t worry it may not seem like it but we are all here.” Said Willow. She knew this had to be hard for Buffy, it wasn’t the first time she had to go threw it. Willow wishes she could just do something.
But Buffy had taken the words right out of her mouth, she had said something about making her needing to find away to make Angels soul permanent. But Willow has tired and so far nothing, she couldn’t tell Buffy that right now she needed that bit of hope. “Ok Buffy don’t worry I will keep on it till I find away, I wont stop till I find something. don't worry we will get him back Buffy.” Said Willow. Willow was happy to hear that she would be getting some more ingredients that could help the spell, which very well might help Willow get closer to finding away. At lest she hopes so anyway.
