- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She took a deep breath, this time not wanting to let it back out again. Things had gotten increasingly hard over the past few months and things like breaking and eating tended to escape her at the weirdest times. Sometimes she wished that she hadn’t made it through the sacrifice that had killed her aunt Jenna (and by default killed her biological father otherwise known as her adopted uncle John) just so she wouldn’t have to go through the things that she was going through now. Just so she wouldn’t have to see and hear about the things that she knew now. She wished she could be naïve again…wished she could be innocent again…and for a brief moment she wished that she had taken Stefan up on his offer for Damon to erase her memories all those months ago.
Part of me wishes that I could forget too...forget meeting you...finding out what you are and everything that has happened since. If that's what you want. Yes...it is...Because I don't want it to be like this...I don't wanna feel like this...but I can't. With everything that's happened I can't lose how the way I feel about you.
It hurt her to even think about losing the way she felt about Stefan but unfortunately with the way things were at the moment it almost seemed easier in the long run…but she knew she couldn’t. For one thing, who would she ask to compel her? Stefan wouldn’t do it…Damon wouldn’t do it…Caroline wouldn’t do it…and Lexi wouldn’t do it. So even if she wanted it, she was completely out of luck.
Elena looked in the mirror and frowned at her appearance. Her clothing choice was normal for her…a shirt, a sweater, and a pair of jeans paired with a pair of converse. Her new bracelet hung on her wrist and that’s when it hit her. Her neck felt bare. She touched the place gently where her necklace usually hung and for a moment she didn’t want to leave the house. Unfortunately they had no food in the house so she needed to head to get herself something to eat and then get groceries for the rest of the house. So she turned away from the mirror and headed out the door, heading towards Richmond, Virginia. She desperately needed to get out of Mystic Falls for awhile.
She headed towards a parking spot and parked her car, getting out and slamming the door. She was glad that no one she knew was around, not many of those she hung out with tended to stray far from Mystic Falls. Even though Richmond was only about fifteen minutes away, it still was one of those things that people stayed close to home. She smiled when she saw the falls, the ones that linked her town with Richmond. She headed towards them and stood there, watching the water fall.

------------------------ ------------------------ Richmond was Kol's favorite town so far in fact he chose it over Mystic Falls at the moment. He made himself a little known to this town or tried to at least these things known as slayers were a bore and he would deal with them soon enough. Kol helped Klaus only sometimes when it comes to there lives. He was headed back to his home land when he caught whiff of something very familiar and off limits according to Klaus which he would disobey sometime in the future. Kol was going over in his head on who to kill first and who to torture second when he headed back to town he was born in over a thousand years ago.
Kol remembered these lands quite well from when he was a boy he ran along the riverside with his sister and brothers, that was when Kol was human and not such a dangerous killer. Now that he was freed from the coffin he slept in for a century Kol thought he would continue his bidding of causing grief but, making sure no one was planning on killing him or his somewhat circle of a family. He actually enjoyed being what he was and sometimes disliked when Rebekah got all the attention but, he lived with it. Kol had never really gotten the chance to formally meet this new doppelganger after all she had his brothers feelings all in a massive loop. In fact he was dying to meet her alone hopefully he did not care much for her precious pets the Salvatore's.
He was a few ways behind when he stopped mid run to notice the doppelganger stop near the falls. With a mild smirk Kol tilted his head in the nice comfortable white cotton shirt, a black coat, and some nice cozy jeans that went along with brown boots. He wondered how pathetic this doppelganger was from the last one, Kol had grown tired of the same face popping up every few hundred years it was the same story different ending. He walked closer to her with silence in his steps and when he was in range, he rested up against a tree folded his arms and smirked just a bit. "Being alone in a place like this might just get you killed puppet."
He said hoping he made her jump just a bit. Kol knew Elena was off limits but, why would he listen to his brother now he did not fear Klaus and nor did he Elijah although he respected his eldest brother. Kol did have better things to do but, the Original thought that he would make an appearance on the woman who literally had a history of destroying lives or so her ancestors. Kol wasn't interested in her pity or her sob story just wanted to know what the big deal was in keeping her life alive. [/blockquote][/blockquote] ------------------------

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -As she stood there, she could see across the way to the Mystic Falls Town Square. The falls connected Richmond and Mystic Falls, so in standing here she could see bits of each town. She could see couples all around being that it was only a few days until Valentine’s Day. Couples walking around looking in the windows at engagement rings and things such as that. She could also see girls in groups looking and giggling at things that they could or couldn’t; should or shouldn’t buy for their boyfriends. The same could be said for the groups of guys walking around but instead of giggling and laughing, they seemed to be stressing and annoyed that they had to be out shopping for their girlfriend’s for Valentine’s day instead of sitting at home watching whatever type of sporting game was on television that day.
All in all watching those walk around trying to get things for their significant others simply made Elena feel more alone that she had when she got out of her car. She didn’t show it, at least tried not to show it, but her heart broke every time she saw something that reminded her of how far apart her and Stefan truly were. She couldn’t even talk to anyone about it because they all had turned their backs on Stefan in such a large way that it added to her heart break.
She almost was disgusted by the way that everyone had turned their backs on Stefan. Okay, she realized that even she had stopped trusting him for the most part as he was under Klaus’ compulsion, but that was the reason for his attitude. What was Damon’s excuse? He did everything that he had done with a smile on his face and his humanity turned on for gods sake and yet everyone always forgave him with no questions asked. Now that Stefan had left (in order to save his brother by the way) and was compelled to turn his humanity off everyone simply wrote him off.
She would admit that it was hard for her to look into his face right now and see the cold smirk and remember the times that he had held her so lovingly in his arms as if she was made of glass but so firmly that he never wanted to let her go. It was hard to hear the cold words come out of his mouth and remember all the times that he had told her he loved her. However that didn’t mean she had given up. As she had said months before…Stefan would never have given up on her and she wouldn’t give up on him.
That was part of the reason that she was a bit distant to her friends at the moment. They were acting as if they had never done anything bad to anyone else. They all had hurt people over the years and this was no different. Sure it was a bit more extreme than others, but not everyone.
She groaned, this was not doing her any good. She truly had no idea why she had come here other than to get away from everything. She made to turn around but before she could a voice behind her made her freeze. She turned around slowly, eyes widening at the site of Kol Mikaelson, one of the originals. She hadn’t really had any conversations with Kol thus far, but from what she understood he was one of the only ones in the family who didn’t immediately listen to Klaus…and this worried her. “What…What are you doing here?” She asked, her voice breaking a bit but at the same time, keeping her chin held high.

------------------------ ------------------------ Richmond took a liking to and truth be told Kol was liking it here it was full of entertainment and not his brother. Life here was much more of what Kol wanted and on the plus side there were a lot of supernatural beings here and Kol loved to give them a fright. Ever since awakening back on this god forsaken earth. He hid from his father for centuries as did the rest of his siblings Mikael was to be feared the man hunted his own kind nonetheless fed from his own kind. Kol didn't care now Mikael was not here neither was his mother.
Being an Original Kol had a lot of time to discover and learn all he could. He was able to create his own minions and his own lies to be told throughout the centuries. Kol may have been the youngest brother but of course older then Rebekah. He had gotten word that the doppelganger was off limits and Kol didn't have a chance to meet this one yet. Katerina was a catch feisty little one that one was something of Kol's liking but, too bad she was frightened of the Originals. He still blamed the Petrova bloodline for the destruction of his families trust and dis-loyalties. Kol was never a fan of Klaus's hybrids either he was still debating if this doppelganger would make a tasty meal.
Kol had wished Rebekah was here to share the glory of Elena Gilbert being alone without her pets on each arm to worship her. Kol didn't have the pleasure of making his words clear to the brothers yet but, there was time and he had other plans then to deal with the likes of the love struck pups for one human girl. Of course, Elena's words struck Kol although it also sounded in fear which Kol could smirk to at the end. He blinked his eyelids looking her over before stepping away from the tree he was leaning up against. "Well isn't that a nice thing to ask? I got bored."
He said in the lovely accent of the Original English sound. The Original hated questions or at least he did but, the fun was only just beginning. "I still don't understand why my brother fancies you. But, it seems history follows the same timeline. It's pathetic." He said looking to the side then with his super speed was suddenly in front of her with a tilt of his head. Kol couldn't see why this one girl had his brothers graveling at there feet. She was a simple doppelganger to Kol, someone whom his mother created to break Klaus's curse. Kol could be a kind gentlemen if people would stop trying to kill the man it was quite pathetic on there end. He did remember the Original Petrova quite well. He never spoke of it because he knew it made both Elijah and Klaus unpleasant but, seeing as the woman was gone and dead he didn't care much anymore. All Kol knew if Elena tried to pull a stupid stunt like she did with his brothers then the doppelganger would no longer have a spine or a heart. He was a bit angered at her of what she did after all it was his brother she betrayed. "I'm not like my brothers especially not Elijah and definitely not like the wolf mutt I won't hesitate to rip out that pretty little heart darling." He said as the only warning he would ever give her he hated repeating himself. He did admit Elena did have skills he would give her that. [/blockquote][/blockquote] ------------------------

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She felt the wind pick up around her and she felt a shiver run down her spine, though she couldn't tell if her shivers were from the wind or the fact that she was around one of the only originals who would kill her and not think twice about it. Elijah wouldn't hurt her as long as she didn't try to hurt him. Klaus refused to let anyone harm her because he needed her blood to make his hybrids. Rebekah would be more than happy to kill her but she listened to Klaus for the most part and refused to betray him...at least not for the time being.
She pulled her black sweater closer to her, trying to ward off her shivers, though had no idea if it would work. Her clothing didn't offer her much comfort in the way of warmth. The black sweater over a purple strapless flowing top was hardly warm. Her jeans were fairly warn as they were her favorite pair, comfortable, but not exactly warm. The metal of her charm bracelet was pressing its cold surface against her wrist and she winced at it, wanting to take it off but refusing to move even a tiny bit. Her purple shoes matched her shirt but she had put them on earlier with no socks so even they didn't offer her any warmth.
She watched as Kol stepped away from the tree, and it took everything in her power to stand her ground instead of retreating. She had read somewhere that if a wild animal came across you than to stand very still instead of running away. She wondered if the same thing could be said about wild vampires, but highly doubted it. No, she knew it was pointless to run either way, he could catch her before she could blink, so she stood her ground, praying someone, anyone, would show up to stop him from doing whatever his malicious eyes told her he would do. She bit back a sarcastic comment when he told her that he was bored, instead opting to be pleasant while still being herself. "Why come here then?" She asked, her genuine curiosity showing, though her fear was more than obvious as well. "I mean this isn't exactly the most hopping part of town."
Clearly he wasn't to be deterred as he spoke again, this time about his brother fancying her. She had no idea which one he was speaking about, though she assumed Elijah. It was unknown why Elijah had a soft spot for her, but it was known why Klaus kept her alive...so she assumed Elijah was who he spoke of. She cringed back, unable to help herself, as he stated that he wouldn't hesitate to rip out her heart. "I'm aware." She stated, her eyes showing her fear, though she refused to scream or cry, it would do no good. She was surprised she had lived this long to be honest. The doppelganger knew that she was living on borrowed time...and every breath she took was a gift from someone watching down on her. "So why haven't you yet?" She asked, waiting to see his response.

------------------------ ------------------------ Every Original had there own personality or so it was told in history. Kol was not the most popular of the group but, he tried to make himself known. He avoided the competition between his brothers when he was human and didn't even bother with the love triangles. He fled after becoming a vampire so he wouldn't kill anyone he so cared about. Unfortunately, he cared for no one today his emotions were still locked inside well except for his anger towards his brother. He knew one doppelganger was a vampire and this one was the human one and had two vampires on her arms.
He wasn't worried for her interesting outfit or her shoes but, her movements were the ones that needed to be carefully played out. She didn't have her precious Salvatore's here with her so Kol could torture the poor girl and no one would hear it. Although, Kol wanted so much to rip this girl a new one he had no reason to at the moment. Elena Gilbert showed no threat to him. Kol saw the fear in her face and gave a smile of pride. He wore a tight shirt with a dark blue cotton coat with jeans and boots. He loved this new era the dancing parties were just too much fun.
"I like it here more tasty humans to feed on and my brother to not telling me my path in life."
He said in his normal voice. Now that he had Elena to himself maybe he could get to know how her mind works or her emotions. Kol was good at figuring things out after all being alive for as long as he had he tended to gain a few things. He wasn't all that bad but, like his little sister was a ticking time bomb ready to strike. He moved closer to her cocking his head to the side. Her voice wasn't normal which Kol understood. Yes, he was talking about Elijah when it came to his emotions for Elena. Klaus only needed her for her blood but, Kol wasn't a fan of the hybrids. Kol had his moments of humanity just like all of them. Kol wouldn't hurt her it's not like she could over power the man now if her witch was here he might have taken a different precaution. With her voice he nodded with a shrug of his shoulders. He was satisfied that she knew the consequences if she were to do anything stupid. With her question he took a minute before answering. "I'm not all bad. I've been in a coffin for a 100 years the last doppelganger I knew of was Katerina Petrova but, clearly you are not her." He said looking at her in the eyes wondering what made this doppelganger even more special.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ------------------------

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She bit back a groan when Kol stated that there were more humans to feed on in Richmond. It didn’t really surprise her that he’d leave town in order to do something so that he was not under Klaus’ thumb. No matter what any of the originals said…they knew they needed to at least somewhat fear Klaus. Klaus was above all anything else…completely immortal…where as they weren’t as immortal as he was. The originals themselves had more than one weakness. While a stake made of the old white oak tree was the only thing that would kill them completely, a dagger dipped in the ashes of the old white oak tree would put them into a permanent stasis if not removed. Klaus however had one weakness, and that was a stake made of an old white oak tree. Unfortunately for them they had no idea where to get one or if one even existed being that the originals had burnt the tree to the ground several centuries before hand…and to her knowledge another tree like it didn’t exist.
She remembered Elijah talking to her last year, before everything went to hell, and she could easily remember the statement that he had given. Klaus is the most feared and hated of the originals, but those who fear him are desperate for his approval. Word gets out that the doppelganger exists there will be a line of vampires eager to take you to him and I can't have that. She had a feeling that while Kol might not have feared Klaus when he had the same strengths and weaknesses as he did, now that he was a bit more indestructible than Kol himself that might have changed. With that being said however she didn’t think that anything, especially not a little bit of fear, would have stopped Kol from doing what he ultimately wanted.
She wanted to back up when he took another step towards her, but stood her ground. It would be useless and would probably just antagonize the man. She could tell he was studying her a bit, trying to learn about her, but didn’t make a comment, not really knowing what to say. When he stated that he wasn’t all bad and that he had been in a coffin for 100 years since winced at that. She couldn’t imagine waking up and it being 100 years later. She had often wondered how Rebekah and the rest of the originals had felt about that but had never had anyone to ask. She could have asked Elijah about it but he had only been in a coffin for a few months before he had been released, it wasn’t at all the same.
“No, I’m not Katherine. Thank goodness.” She stated with a laugh, feeling a bit more relaxed but still tense. “I don’t know how often a doppelganger is made…none of us do though I’m sure Klaus has some idea. As far as I know I’m the one closest in age to Katherine…which is ironic since she’s over 400.” She shrugged, not really knowing what to say. “I’m nothing like Katherine…and I’m glad about that.” She told him, before peering up at him under her lashes, trying not to sound as nervous as she did. “Can I ask you something? I promise it’s nothing that’s going to make you mad…at least I hope. I’m just curious.”

------------------------ ------------------------ The Originals had there secrets and there weaknesses. There had to be some balance to the world with the Originals being on this earth. Luckily, Kol and the rest of his family burnt the only tree that would completely kill them all or so they all thought they had destroyed that tree. Kol hated that thing to a point he hated being locked in a box without being able to move or feel or hear he was neutralized like being dead yet again. He wouldn't be so stupid this time around he took precautions. The vampire made sure he would work with conversations with Klaus through this new technology of cell-phones.
Over time Kol did grow tire of Elijah and his obsession over the doppelganger but, Kol had to admit at least his brother had style in women unlike Klaus. Kol listened to Elijah more then Klaus sometimes the man was his eldest brother and caused him no harm. He also did some favors for Rebekah after all she was his little sister and enjoyed killing with her. His time would come when he would make everyone suffer in Mystic Falls for siding with Klaus. He found Richmond to be a temporary home until he could find his own manipulative plan to take down his hybrid brother. He took in Elena's scent and cringed his nose a little. Her specific perfume wasn't his favorite attire but humans these days would wear anything.
The fact she spoke saying she was no Katherine he simply knew that. It was a sarcastic gesture. "Doppelgangers are identical I do believe my brothers told you this story once before. Dearest Katerina was once a sweet loving girl a nice charm until my brother slaughtered her family and she became one of us."
He said remembering a little memory of Katerina Petrova. Kol crossed paths with her a few times in the past but, the girl was a bit of a prude then and Kol didn't want to bother with a blood-stricken doppelganger. Kol could only imagine what Elena would be like as a vampire would she be like Katerina or something completely different? It was a question that was yet to be answered and probably never would. When she wanted to ask him something he thought to himself for a moment. Would Kol be in a listening mood and an answering one? We would soon find out. He looked away from her at the moment then placed his hand on his chin then shrugged his shoulders with a sigh as he placed his hands back to his side. Kol would listen and he wouldn't let his temper get in the way or so we would see. "Your brave I'll give you that. Alright let's have it ask away." He said giving her just one opening Kol needed the company anyway he preferred her over that barbie any day. Kol lightened up and took a tiny step back so she could have some space while he would listened carefully for her question. - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She nodded her head slightly, telling him that yes, she had heard the story. She didn’t bother telling him that neither of his brothers had told her the story originally…no…it was Katherine who she had gone to for answers. She often found it ironic that she tended to go ask people who truly wanted her head or could not stand her for answers that she would have preferred ask those who liked her. Unfortunately sometimes no one who she was close with had answers that she was looking for, so she had to venture to people who weren’t the safest bets in order to seek that which she wanted to know.
She could clearly remember the story that Katherine had woven for her, though back then she had questioned if there was any truth to it…but after hearing Elijah’s recount of it as well she knew that she had indeed been informed correctly. She could remember how Katherine told her about being introduced to Klaus by Elijah, how she had fallen for Klaus while Elijah had fallen for her (though that had come from Elijah himself, not Katherine), how she had found out about the ritual (though Elena never did ask how she knew), how she ran away, tricked Rose and Trevor into helping her, killing herself, feeding, becoming a vampire, and then running. She had heard how Elijah had been blamed for it and made a promise to Klaus to find her.
She remembered all of it, and yet it still didn’t make sense why he stated it while she proclaimed that she wasn’t Katherine. “Proves right there that I’m nothing like Katherine. I didn’t run. I knew he would slaughter my family if I ran…so I stayed put. Didn’t really matter though, he still killed my aunt…after promising he wouldn’t harm any of them. Oh yes, let’s not forget, Elijah promised to ensure my families safety as well as to kill Klaus, and yet as soon as he was told that his siblings, you, Rebekah and Finn, were actually alive, he betrayed us. And what did I do when that happened? Did I run? Did I turn myself into a vampire or ask any of the several vampires that I know to turn me? No, I didn’t. So again, I reiterate…I am not Katherine.” She stated hotly, knowing that she was probably making a very large mistake talking to him like this but not being able to help herself.
She looked at him, wondering if she really could ask the question she wanted to ask. “I’m not brave…I never pretended to be. I’m just honest…and too curious for my own good.” She told him with a small laugh before going back to her original line of questioning. “Why did Klaus put you, Finn and Rebekah in those coffins? I mean he spouts out about how family is so important, and he carried you all around with him for so long…but he kept you asleep for all intents and purposes, I just don’t see why.” She asked, praying he wouldn’t be offended by her question.

------------------------ ------------------------ Kol had caught up on the news of this doppelganger thanks to his siblings and there followers. He was intrigued she was still alive after Klaus became a hybrid but, he remembered one thing, the Bennett Witch must have done something for the girl to stop her from death after all she was standing here in front of him. Kol knew quite a lot but, didn't share with anyone. The Original had some time to spare so why not play nice with the doppelganger. She had done no harm to him Kol would be completely on the calm side..for now.
Katerina Petrova was quite the spark to his eldest brother's life although Kol didn't like her either he never questioned Elijah only Klaus since the man was desperate to break his so called curse. Deep down Kol hated his mother for what she did to him and all his siblings but, on the other side Kol loved to be indestructible and to live forever it was amazing. Kol realized Elena wasn't as stupid as her ancestor had been she didn't run but, she was still putting her friends in danger or so they were putting themselves into it. When Kol first met her ex Matt he nearly broke his hand to small pieces until a Salvatore had to mess it all up. That would not happen a second time Kol would be more aware of those who protected the doppelganger.
"Having things done Klaus's way is simply moronic Katerina did a wise thing."
He said thinking Elena's plans were just as bad. Though, when she mentioned Elijah that was a different story. Kol looked up to Elijah even if sometimes the two were hardly in the same room Kol would follow him more then Klaus these days. His smile turned towards an upset grin as his eyes changed for a split second before changing back to normal. Kol wouldn't feed from the doppelganger he was tempted but, that wouldn't stop him from putting the girl in a hospital. "You place blame on Elijah for no reason as if you even know my family. As far as I heard it you told a little lie. Elijah may be noble but, you betray him he can be quite well a vampire." He said holding back his anger. It was like someone threatening Rebekah that he would not allow. She was stepping on very thin ice and as Kol listened to her next words he did remember when Klaus placed the dagger in his chest. Kol was at some council between rich families and there he ran into Klaus who proposed they stay together. Kol agreed but it had turned out Klaus meant in a different way and there Kol was placed in a coffin for 100 years to rest until Elijah set him free. But, Kol did understand why Klaus did it. "I sometimes asked the same thing. I think he did it to hide us from my father after all the man hunted us for a thousand years, I also think he was scared I can never tell. We are a family something I don't think you understand. Sure you have that brother of yours but, not one such as mine." He said hoping he satisfied her questions. "Back in the day you could call us a lion pride a strong willed family until my youngest brother was killed by the same beasts we were once afraid of. My mother a lioness of her stature wanted to protect the rest of us by turning us into creatures that could hunt those we feared. Unfortunately, that didn't plan out when our father hunted us down like dogs as well." He said then grew tired of talking about his past. If Kol ran into Mikael again he would do as he did back then, run. Kol feared his father because he never disobeyed him back then was harsh and you would have been punished for disobeying. Now, he had his siblings with him just not in the same area apparently. He looked at Elena with a straight face. "Live while you can darling you may not have that long yet to live." He said placing his hands in his pockets waiting for her reaction. Word Count : 736 Tag : Elena Gilbert Notes : I can tell. - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -Most people would have thought that Katherine's plan, being turned, was a good one. She would be lying if she said she hadn't thought about it before she had even heard her ancestor's story. When she had first learned of Klaus coming after her she had immediately thought of it. It wasn’t like the whole vampire thing didn’t have its good sides, because it did…the number one pro on her mental pro and con list had been Stefan. She didn’t want to leave Stefan, and realistically she knew that some day she would have to make the choice to either go on with her life without him or be changed. He was eternally 17 and while he could pull off a bit older, there would still come a time where they couldn’t be together because of many differences. She just had never thought she would have to make those decisions at 17.
Unfortunately the cons outweighed the pros in her mind. She would have to drink blood, something that she had done before now in order to heal from one thing or another, but it was not something she could see herself doing to survive. She would have to watch her friends and family get old and die (though if things kept going the way they were going she would have no human friends left). She could think of a hundred different reasons why to not be turned into a vampire and while those would have made her decision easier, they weren’t what sealed it for her. Katherine’s story had sealed her fate…and while she had a feeling that it was Katherine’s plan all along to make her knowledgeable of it…she still hated to say that it worked. Hearing of Katherine’s family suffering because of her own selfishness had sealed her fate for her…and she had never thought another word about being turned.
She winced when she saw that anger in Kol’s eyes and immediately tried to back track, though before she could say a word, his mouth opened and answered her thoughts. "You're right. I don't know your family. However I didn't lie to him. I did everything he asked me to do and he still saved Klaus after the sacrifice." She told him honestly, trying to make him understand. "Elijah and I had come to an agreement. Yes, I'll admit, that I daggered him. However I'm also the one who pulled the dagger out and made the deal that we had talked about. Elijah had stuck by our deal until he found out that Klaus hadn't buried you all at sea...and while I understand that family is important, it still doesn't make up for the loss of my own." She told him bravely. "You're right though, Elijah is a noble man and out of all the originals, no offense, but I trust him the most. However that doesn't mean that he hasn't made mistakes himself...even he will admit it was a mistake to trust Klaus...because look what happened...Klaus did the same to Elijah that he did to all of you."
"I know that I probably won't have long to live. I'm only alive long enough for my blood to be used to make more hybrids. Once he has enough I'm aware that he'll kill me...or if not him...then someone else. I plan to live my life the way that I can...and ensure those that I love’s safety. I know you know, as well as I know everyone else knows, that my weaknesses are those that I care about." She told him, seeing no reason to lie because it was common knowledge by now.

------------------------ ------------------------ Family was somewhat important and given that Kol's family was on there separate paths he still loved his brothers and sister to the point he would gladly kill for them. To his mind the only one who could place harm to his siblings was him. Getting to know this century was a bit difficult for Kol to understand but, the man was a quick learner and given he could pass as a college student that was his alibi if any new stranger asked him. Kol pretended to play the nice individual around humans but like his father he was ticking time bomb when it came to his mood. He acted nice around Elena and he knew her importance with Klaus but, she was a supernatural entity, a doppelganger if she died then no more of Klaus's precious hybrids and that was Kol's main attention on his mind.
He had met up with Katerina Petrova just a few nights ago and the two had themselves a lovely night meal with a few Richmond folk. Kol did admit that Katerina had spark but, the girl was broken and he wouldn't give her to Klaus he didn't honor his half brother that much. Kol remembered how his brothers fought over one girl it tore them apart and he was not gonna let this one get in the way although her way with those Salvatore brothers Kol gave her credit. 100 years ago was quite the play. Kol enjoyed watching humans fight for the freedom and for what they believed in there blood was fascinating to the bite. He didn't pick a side he was on his own but, when it came to family politics he went with his gut and instincts and not by what his brothers told him.
Listening to her go on about the deal she made with Elijah he wanted to tear her tongue from her throat for talking about Elijah in such a negative manner the man was to be respected or feared at least Kol feared his eldest brother. He tilted his head before looking to the ground. He hated when others were right when in his head he wanted them to be wrong. He had enough of her words and with his vampire ability he grabbed the doppelganger to push her up against the tree with his speed and gently with his strength tightened his grip on her throat but, not too much so that she couldn't breath. "Make this my warning the events that happened in your life were on your own behalf your Salvatore's are the blame on your family not my brother and be wise to speak Elijah's name."
The Original said tightening his grip on her once more before calming down and letting her go. He resisted the hunger he will deal with after his conversation here. This girl was pushing his nerves. He would prove to her that he would not be like Elijah, Klaus, or those Salvatore's in the whole puppy love with one teenaged girl who had a vampire twin who happened to be 500 plus years older then her. He sometimes enjoyed Katerina's company the girl knew had to party. He scowled towards her after she spoke again. This time he listened and would speak in a normal tone. "And everyone you seem to care about happens to walk in the middle of our lovely crossfire. There are not many left and I wonder why that is? See your Petrova heritage seems to repeat itself except this time you drove your own friends to there fate with my brother. You may have not became a vampire and fled like a coward but, in the end the only one in this horror story is you and yours love." He said telling his words to her truthfully. If Klaus decided to show up he would gladly beat him to a pulp for what he has done. Word count: 663 Tag: Elena Gilbert Notes: I know me too its fun. I don't think Kol would actually put her in the hospital though. [/blockquote][/blockquote] ------------------------

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She gasped in shock when all of a sudden she was pushed up against a tree. Okay so maybe she should learn to keep her opinions to herself but unfortunately that was not the case at the moment. Yes she knew that this man, one of the original vampires, was a great deal stronger than even a normal vampire so that meant he was an enormous amount stronger than she could ever conceive…however that didn’t mean that she was going to take what he was saying laying down. She had a lot of respect for Elijah but that didn’t mean that he didn’t make mistakes, and she was intent on telling him that.
“No, what has happened to me is not all Stefan and Damon’s fault.” She stated defiantly. “Being born a god damned doppelganger has nothing to do with Stefan or Damon. Being forced into literally dying because of Klaus’ obsession to be completely immortal was not my or either of the Salvatore’s fault. Being conceived of a bloodline that was thought lost because of Isobel being a skank and John not being able to think with his brain instead of with his lower regions is not my fault. My aunt being killed was not the Salvatore brothers or my fault. All those deaths rest of Klaus, and yes on Elijah. Elijah made a deal with me that none of my family would get hurt and he broke that. He admitted that to me. Yes, Elijah is a honorable man, one whom I trust…but that doesn’t mean that he doesn’t make mistakes. You may respect him, and I don’t doubt that you should, but again, he is at fault for a lot. I am not innocent in this, I assure you I am well aware of that. I fell in love with Stefan even though I knew he was a vampire. By staying away from him I might have spared some of my friends some pain and I will always be guilty of that.”
She took a deep breath, trying to regain her bearings before continuing. “However, do not tell me that your family are all completely innocent. You’re vampires, you’ve killed and turned god knows how many people. So do not play the innocent family card, because if there is one thing you are not…it is innocent.” She told him defiantly. She wouldn’t allow him to place blame at her feet when it was Klaus’ obsession with being the most powerful being on earth that had led them to this place. She knew he could and would most likely kill her, and that honestly didn’t scare her at the moment.
At least she would go out saying what she wanted to say.

------------------------ ------------------------ Kol would go the limits if he had to break most of the important joints in her skinny little body he would. All the blame was not on his siblings but, maybe there mother Esther for creating such a spell. Hasn't anyone know by now that Kol was simply the one who did things on his own he didn't care who he hurt he may look like his eldest brother the most but, he had his own plans. Feeling Elena's skin under his hands he suddenly felt the need to just drop her. He snapped instantly like Rebekah he would gladly rip people apart for the fun of it.
The Original listened to her mumble on about how her life was how it wasn't the Salvatore's fault. Kol could agree some parts may have been Klaus's fault and yes Elijah did bits that Kol knew in general that his own brother was regretting every minute of it. "Look at you whine and complain. See I just strolled out here to have a little talk I may have pushed a little but, hey I'm an Original. You fell in love with a lost cause the Salvatore's are bunch of love struck teenagers that fancy over one girl it's boring and pathetic." He said trying to make things much more easier but, it seemed things were taking a different turn. Kol could see right through the girl she wasn't getting it through that thick skull of hers. Kol thought over his next ideas and it seemed he would have to beat out of her somehow.
"I never said we were innocent but, please enlighten me of the wrongs you have done. No one is ever innocent now these days are we? Now see darling there is a point where enough is enough." He said then with a quick movement he through Elena into another tree after all they were in the woods. He may have bent the tree a little by throwing Elena into it but, he needed to make sure she understood his reasons. "My brother may need your blood but, see the difference between me and him?..I don't care for your well being I won't kill you but, I believe I do owe some sort of punishment for you after all you stabbed my sister through the back." He said now his face was in a much more angered look which was simply not good for Elena's safety.
He admired her honesty but, sometimes keeping your mouth shut might seem quite the choice especially around an Original like Kol. He didn't help her up in fact he would watch as she would squirm to try to get up and moan in pain it was music to his ears. Where were her so called bodyguards? Where was Klaus to tell him knock it off or I'll threaten to stake you through the heart again? It was funny to see such an important girl be so out in the open without help especially if Kol was one of the Originals that disliked the Doppelganger tales. "Where are your pals now?" He said placing his hands to his sides and smirked towards her pain. He waited if she would continue or surrender her words.
Word Count : ?? Tag : Elena Gilbert Notes : Well Kol is getting a bit frustrated with her so if Elena keeps her words calm and steady I'm pretty sure she'll walk out of this with her head still attached.

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She could tell by the tightening of his hands that she was making him even madder. Realistically she understood that she should probably stop talking, but she refused. She would admit that her life would have been a lot less complicated if the Salvatore's wouldn't have ever come to Mystic Falls...she could admit that easily. However it was a Catch-22 if she ever heard one. If Stefan wouldn't have been in Mystic when her parent's car went over Wickery Bridge she would have died. So really how could she say that she wished he hadn't come to town? She couldn't. Granted he could have come into town and left afterward, never looking back, but she couldn't even say she wished for that. She couldn’t regret meeting Stefan or falling in love with him...because even after all this, she didn't ever want to forget how she felt about him.
So no she wouldn’t just sit there and let Kol place all the blame on everyone else besides his family. It wasn’t going to happen. His brother was the psychotic murderer who had literally ruined her and all those she cared about lives. She had taken Stefan away from her, killed her aunt, been the reason her uncle/father had died, because he had Tyler kidnapped Damon had been bitten by a werewolf and almost died, and was the reason Tyler was now a hybrid which meant that Caroline couldn’t be with the person she loved. How was any of that the Salvatore’s or her fault? It wasn’t. What, was it her fault that she was born a damn doppelganger? No, it wasn’t. This fell on Klaus and Klaus alone. Sure it could be stated that things were also Esther’s fault for turning her children into vampires in the first place however they could have chosen to live differently, they didn’t. That fell on them, no one else.
She could clearly see that Kol was trying to keep his control, though it was obvious that it was quite difficult for him. She heard what he said about falling in love with the lost cause Salvatore's and it angered her, though she reigned it in a tiny bit, biting her tongue in order to keep from spewing out any of the other hundreds of insults that she wanted to throw out. Self pervasion seemed to finally kick in and she kept her mouth shut, wanting to walk away from this without being at all bloody.
Unfortunately her prayers weren't answered as she felt her body being heaved into a tree, this time she felt every inch of pain that she felt. She could feel her back indented into the tree and a tear left her eye before she felt the blackness over take her.
