Sometimes Caroline liked to come to the falls to try and think. The beautiful surroundings and the overall quietness seemed the perfect place to think about things, ponder her life. However it'd also been the place of many parties throughout high school. Not too far from the actual falls themselves, there was a small clearing in the woods. The kids would all park in various places surrounding the woods. In the clearing, they'd set up the keg and have a bit of music playing. They'd usually almost always also have a fire and marshmallows as well. Sometimes it seemed immature, but she'd been wanting to go a party lately. Her life had just been such a downer lately, everyone's had, that they all needed to have some fun.
However right now she was just wanting to take some time a think. After being found out by Damon about Klaus, they'd pretty much came to blows. He'd called her out on basically just being an idiot and she'd called him on being a dick. Still, it was bothering her wondering if he would tell any of the others. She sincerely hoped not, she couldn't stand losing any of her friends over such a stupid and rash decision. Honestly though she wouldn't exactly be able to blame them either. She was just a mess right now.
Although she looked pretty darn cute. She was wearing a brown leather jacket. It was new but it looked oddly retro in a way. Paired with that she had a black camisole underneath and dark skinny jeans and a new pair of boots. The boots were kind of out of character for her to wear but she absolutely loved it. Her hair flowed down her back in big, luscious curls. Even though she was a mess on the inside, she certainly wasn't on the outside.
However as she discovered that she wasn't alone in the falls, her ears perked up to listen for the sound. Immediately she knew one of them as Elena and after listening for a few moments later, she realized the other to be that of Kol. Kol was one of the originals, the drastically immature and rash one. This didn't mean anything good. Absolutely silently she crept her way up to the top of the hill above them, looking down on them. As soon as she seen them it was too late. Elena had been flung into a tree and was no longer moving.
At hearing Kol's words, she had the desire to make a quick retort back to him. To state that she was right there, since he'd commented on how none of her 'pals' were with her. However she decided against it, she wasn't stupid enough to think that she could take Kol. She was still young in the vampire world, not even a year old. Though she'd been proven decently strong when angry, as seen throwing Damon into a wall, she wasn't nearly half as strong as an original. So instead, she decided to go the safe route.
Using vampire speed, she sped down the hill and past Kol before he realized what was happening. Without ever stopping she leaned down and scooped up Elena into her arms. Running as fast as she possibly could, she high tailed it back to the Gilbert's house and safely got Elena back inside. She laid her on her own bed, glad that no one was inside. As far as Caroline knew, Kol didn't for any reason have an invite so they'd be safe. Once Elena began to regain consciousness a bit, she found that she couldn't move because of her back. Instead of taking her to the hospital, she fed Elena her own blood. Knowing that it was her only chance...Elena took the blood in a stride.
