”Didn’t work at the law firm. We worked at the law firm for him. Well, and he worked for... the Powers, I guess,” Spike explained a little further, not really thinking that the little girl wouldn't know what the powers were. Really, when he first had met Angelus, Spike would have never pegged him for being a lawyer in a hundred twenty years, so he could understand Kathy’s skepticism, ”But yeah, no doubt. Our Angel and your Angel are the one and the same by that picture you painted.” Although ‘Dark and Mysterious’ were more like ‘Pathetic and Socially Awkward’ as far as Spike saw it. Her giggle was cute though, and Spike knew that whenever this girl was around, he would have to watch what he said about his ancient rival. ”If your brother lets me, then I swear to tell you everything you want to know,” Spike nodded and offered his pinky, a childish deal for a child’s promise. Yeah, he knew that the average eleven year old shouldn’t hear all the colorful stories that he had accumulated in his evil days, not to mention the bitter relationship he and Angelus developed over lovers and souls and getting to be human. But any child who had lived through two hundred years of war, famine, corruption, inquisitions and depressions wasn’t any average girl. Spike didn’t think that she would be completely shocked by everything he did, especially if he prefaced it with the situations surrounding them. He wasn’t about to sugarcoat anything, that’s not how he was. But then again, he remembered being hung out to dry by Buffy when he had done the same with Dawn. Angel would probably be even worse, so Kath getting his permission would probably be the only way. Upon hearing what she was about to do, the confirmation that this little girl was nowhere near average skyrocketed. He had suspected that she was going to say that she was going to get ice cream or buy more Hello Kitty merchandise. But no, she was going back to her hotel room to write a bloody book. Young adult fiction, but regardless, she was a published writer. In comparison, Spike was a lout planning to smoke a cigarette. He shrugged. He wished he was a better liar but he had no skill for it, ”Nothing really. Smoke a bit. Get away from it all. Nothing to do, nowhere to go, get sedated,” Spike half quoted his favorite Ramones song with a small smirk, unsure if the child in front of him would get the reference. ”But listen, pet, I don’t think these woods are the best place for you,” Spiked warned the little vampire, ”I’ve seen plenty of hunters around these parts that shoot first and ask questions later, even with a little thing like you. I’ll walk you to the edge, if you like.”+++ TAGS: Katheryn WORD COUNT:458 NOTES: She's one of my favorites too ;3. I think we might be coming to an end of this thread though. But I can't wait to see Kathy in the Dark Side thread.

atheryn 'Kathy' Anne O’Connor tilted her head. She really didn’t understand if her brother didn’t work at a law form then why were they working at the law firm for him? It didn’t really make sense to her but then again, it probably was better than that. Heck, grownups were weird; no matter how old she got there were just certain things she didn’t understand. Which was ironic since she knew all about the happenings between a man and a woman (yeah, she was sure her brother would truly like the idea that she had knowledge of that, whether it was from going to see a movie she didn’t realize she shouldn’t have or not) yet certain things that adults did were just weird (not to mention gross, I mean do you know where babies come from?! ICK!) Kathy’s eyes brightened as he offered his pinky and she did the same, wrapping hers around his and shaking it up and down, giggling again. She was like a little giggle monster, which ironically had been one of Liam’s nicknames for her when she had been a human…she wondered if he remembered it…then shook her head, probably not. It was a long time ago. “Deal!” She stated. The curly haired vampire pouted before grabbing the cigarette out of his hands and stomped on it, giving him a glare that she thought was menacing, when in reality it was probably the cutest thing anyone had ever seen. “Cigarettes are bad for you!” She told him, wagging her finger in a way that was clear she did not approve of smoking. “I know we can’t get cancer but we can get bad breath and yellow teeth, neither of which are attractive to the ladies Mr. Spike!” She told him, her eyes serious. Before he could say anything she brightened, pulling her lit up phone out which made it clear it had been on vibrate as no sound had emitted. “oOoooh, I gotta go!” She told him, her perfect smile returning to her face. “It’s Anthony!” She giggled, answering the phone. “Hold on a second Anthony, gotta say goodbye to my friend.” She told him before giving Spike a big hug (as big as her tiny body would allow being that she was petite and quite short) before waving. “BYE SPIKE!” She told him and ran off, her hair trailing after her as she chattered on her phone happily. After Kath had completed their pinky-swear, giggle included, Spike made to get a fag from his coat pocket and once found, held it between his fingers, planning on having a smoke like he said he might. While he searched for his lighter with his other hand, she yanked the cigarette away from him. ”Wha—“ Spike stopped himself short, a little surprised that the little vampire just pinched his cigarette from his fingers and was stomping on it like it was a vile worm or something. Oh, blimey, she was rather serious about it, by her pouting look and following lecture. The blond vampire had to bite down hard on his lip to not snigger and make the girl have another fit. Attractive to the ladies, eh? It was pretty amusing that an eleven year old was giving him dating advice. But before he could get in a word, Kath was on her phone, with that Anthony bloke, it seemed. She called him her friend, which was funny, but flattering, considering they had just met tonight, even if they were distantly ‘related’. And then he received her little hug, her head just reaching the middle of his chest. Strangely enough, Spike could swear that it felt like she was warm somehow. But she was a vampire, as cool skinned as he was, so it must have just been his imagination. And then she bounded off with a wave and a loud goodbye. Spike gave a weak salute in return, though his face had a large smirk on it. What a crazy child. He hoped that she would make it out of the woods well. He dug through his pockets again and pulled out another cigarette, feeling a bit disappointed the little vamp had wasted one. Maybe she was right and he should stop. Smoking was a rather expensive habit. But, then again, he might as well use up the ones he had. He lit up his new cigarette and decided to quietly trail the girl, just the edge of the woods. Just to make sure everything went well. +++ TAGS: Katheryn WORD COUNT:348 NOTES: Fin~
