She knew that realistically Bonnie was most likely right about had she not been bored it would have been someone else, but she couldn’t help but think about everything that could have been avoided had she not been born. Starting from the beginning it was an extremely long list. She knew that Damon had pretty much tortured Stefan for years, but Stefan had managed to stay away from him for a long time until he came to Mystic Falls and stayed because of her. Damon had stayed to torture Stefan because of her. So really the two brothers while yes, got along better now than before, wouldn’t have had to deal with each other if she wouldn’t have been born.
Bonnie wouldn’t have lost her grandmother, because Damon wouldn’t have had the crystal destroyed and thus wouldn’t have needed a witch to get into the tomb. Stefan wouldn’t have gotten lucked in, thus allowing Bonnie’s grams to remain out of the vampire business, something she had desperately tried to stay away from.
Caroline wouldn’t have been turned because Katherine wouldn’t have come to Mystic Falls and turned Caroline simply to send a message to the Salvatore brothers.
Matt wouldn’t have lost his sister because Damon got bored and decided to turn her for kicks.
Jenna wouldn’t have been killed in some useless sacrifice that did nothing except make an original vampire even more powerful.
Tyler would have never been turned into a damn hybrid. Hell he most likely would have never triggered the werewolf curse being that Katherine wouldn’t have compelled Sarah to trigger the curse.
Jeremy would have never lost his parents. They would have never had to come get her from the party she had skipped family night for and thus would have never ended up on Wickery Bridge that night.
All the bad things happened because she had been born, and she hated it. If there was a way to go back in time to stop John Gilbert and Isobel Flemming from procreating, she would have done it. Even if there would have been another doppelganger out there somewhere, there was a 95% chance that it wouldn’t have involved everyone she loved, thus saving them from the world of pain they seemed to always be buried in now.
“Don’t you see it Bonnie?” She asked?! “Don’t you get it!? If it wouldn’t have been for me nothing would have happened. You, Caroline, Matt, Jenna, Tyler, Jeremy, you’re involved in this damn supernatural world because of me! I fell in love with Stefan, I became friends with Damon, I WAS BORN!” She stated, her last comment in between a yell and a sob.
She couldn’t take it anymore. She had to get out of there. “I…I have to go.” She stated before standing up and rushing towards her car, getting in it, slamming the door, and heading towards her house. She couldn’t deal with any of this at the moment. She had to get away.
