- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -It was usual for the town of Mystic Falls, Virginia to have a winter carnival. However this year it had been a bit late being that there had been numerous other things going on. So instead it was right around the same time as the Valentine's Day Ball. So instead of calling it a 'Winter Carnival' they were calling it the Founder's Carnival. Yes, Mystic Falls had a ridiculous amount of days and parties that were dedicated to the founders. Elena personally thought it was ironic since after Elijah had visited the first time she had found out that technically the so called ‘Founder’s’ really hadn’t founded anything.
She shook her head, heading towards the falls as she took a deep breath and tried to gather her courage. For a brief moment Elena wondered if the adults of this town knew how many parties the teens had been to at The Falls. She remembered when it was announced, Carol Lockwood had acted like a party at The Falls had been something that no one had ever experienced...when in reality every year there was at least one. She knew that a lot of other teens felt the same way that she had, but they all kept quiet and didn’t say a word, not wanting to rat anyone out.
The brunette shook her head, realizing at least the sheriff knew about the last one since the police had to come to help with the whole Vicki disaster when Damon had attacked her. It didn't matter either way, as this is where she was, but it was an interesting thought. As the young teen looked around her, she was impressed by the efforts the town had thrown in. There were classic booths, rides, and food carts. However there was also an air of holiday warmth that contradicted the cold that the season had brought in.
Elena looked around the crowd of people that had started to head in. She had been here mostly all day as she had been elected (forced) to help out with some of the decorations. She wasn't sure why she got roped into doing it but it was for a good cause so she had shut up and dealt with it.
Hopefully some of her friends would arrive soon...she had no interest in spending the evening alone.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------After he had left Buffy's rental house that night, he'd gone to a local bar. Being handsome he'd been able to get a woman to take him back to her place. She thought she was getting lucky. Instead he'd simply drained her completely and then taken shelter at her apartment. He had only just become the other night he didn't yet have somewhere to stay. So he'd slept in her bed, though he'd changed the sheets first. Vampire or not she was obviously a slut, he wasn't trying to catch crabs or anything. Fortunately for him she hadn't even gotten a kiss out of him, only death.
The next night when he awoke, he took a shower at her place. Next he changed back into his clothes. They were clean and he would find a new outfit soon enough. Getting into his car he drove over to the small town over next to Richmond. He'd heard a lot about this town before. A lot of strange things happened here. Angelus happened to like strange things.
He stopped at a local gas station once he arrived. He would need a snack and a new outfit before he continued. This being said, he pretended to be pumping gas while he waited for the perfect meal. Finally a young boy, probably in his early twenties, pulled up next to him. Angelus kept pretending to pump gas until they were both finished. He then stalked silently behind the boy. Before he reached the door, Angelus pulled him around the back of the building and drank him. He then took his outfit as well. Earlier, he'd seen signs notifying people of a town Carnival. If he was going to attend he was going to have to look slightly normal. So he changed into the kids light green shirt and black jeans. Honestly, he had never worn jeans before in his life. It was strange.
When he felt like he looked normal enough, he drove over to said carnival. Upon exiting his car he paid the entrance fee, wanting to remain under the radar. Once inside he began to scout for someone interesting. Young people looked delicious. A teenage brunette stood out to him, standing by herself. She looked extra tasty. He sauntered over to her casually, stepping up behind her. Getting a bit close, though not creeper status close, he spoke to her softly. "Don't you just hate these things? Too many people for me" he told her charmingly ,flashing her a smile. This was going to be fun, he loved the chase right before the kill. - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -The brunette girl's thoughts were broken when she heard the voice of one of her best friends. She turned around just in time to hear Caroline comment on her outfit being fairly plain for a carnival and then roll her eyes. She laughed a bit before shrugging her petite shoulders. "I know, but what can I say. I've been here literally since the sun came up, helping with this damn carnival that's not even that great of an idea thank you Carol Lockwood. And I figured if I was going to have to be here early and then stay late to help clean up, I'd at least be comfortable and warm while doing it." She shrugged again before linking her arm with Caroline's and heading towards a booth that was selling hot cider. After grabbing two of them, she handed one to the blonde next to her before taking a sip of her own, smiling as the warmth flowed through her. "So what do you think of this new ‘Founder’s Carnival’?" She asked, motioning to the craziness going on around her.
Elena noted that Caroline was no longer paying attention to her, instead seeing Tyler off in the distance. “Go talk to him.” She told her and gave her a gentle push in the opposite direction, she herself walking away from the scene. She knew how hard it was these days to have anything private stay private so she figured she would give the two a few moments of whatever semblance of privacy they could derive before everything went to hell again.
As she walked, she took in the scene in front of her. She could clearly remember the last carnival and was sure that Caroline could too being that she had been turned into a vampire and had killed someone at the last one. While that part was memorable, it was the part afterward that stuck out in her mind. Stefan waking her up by kissing her forehead, asking her to come with him.
Stefan...what are we doing here...we're gonna get caught. Well I compelled the guard to go on break so I could kiss my girlfriend at the top of the ferris wheel. Stefan... We have to take these moments Elena. What Katherine did to Caroline could just be the beginning, and there's things with Tyler's family that we don't even understand yet and there's always the D word but...I came back to this town...to start a life with you. We can't forget to live it.
A voice behind her brought her out of her self imposed misery and she turned around, immediately stunned by the extremely handsome man that was behind her. She heard his words but it took her a few seconds before processing. “Oh uh...” She stated before laughing. “Unfortunately here in this town these things are a staple. If these things aren’t your type of thing, it may be best to run far away.” She stated with another laugh. “I’m Elena by the way, I don’t think I’ve seen you around here before.”

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The girl didn’t seem to be paying any attention to her surroundings. He had been watching her for several minutes before approaching her. At first, he’d gone to approach her but had been beaten to the punch by a blonde girl. The blonde turned out to be a vampire. The more he walked around this carnival, the more of them he felt. There was definitely more to this town than met the eye. The smell of her blood was intoxicating. As he stood behind her, he could hear her heart pumping. The blood moving through her veins burst out to him, calling him.
She was definitely surprised to hear him behind her, obviously not having heard him approach. That didn’t really shock him. If he didn’t want to be heard, he wasn’t going to be, it was that simple. He had always been quite good at being stealthy when he wanted to be. ”Sorry, didn’t mean to scare you” he told her with another smile. It was definitely hard to put a convincing smile on his face. Right now all he could think about was her blood and he couldn’t help but glance over at her neck. He wanted to rip her throat out, right there and then. He refrained however because he, unlike most vampires, liked to play with his food before he ate it.
Instead of speaking up, he only nodded to her statement as he looked around. He took in all of his surroundings. He knew that Buffy was a counselor for this town’s high school. In all honesty, he just hoped she wouldn’t turn up and ruin his fun; she had the tendency to do that quite often. ”I’m Angel” he told her with a flash of his pearly whites. He didn’t want to call himself Angelus. It seemed like too old of a name. Plus, Angel was a more trusting and good name to be known by. If he were to introduce himself by his true name, she might be a bit suspicious as to who he was. Calling himself Angel just seemed to make it easier. Teenage girls had always been a favorite of his. He was still feeling the effects of the slayer blood from the other night. While this girl was no slayer, her blood would still be adequate enough. The younger the better, as he’d learned after turning from Darla. ”I just recently moved, actually” he told her innocently. This was too much fun. ”So, is there any fun to be had at these things?” He was hoping that she’d end up taking him on a tour. If he could only get her somewhere more private, he could get what he really wanted. - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -Elena shook her head when the man apologized to her. “No, it’s alright.” She stated, laughing at herself. “I’m easily startled recently it seems.” Her hand went to her hair a bit self consciously, twirling a silky straight brown piece around her finger. It was a habit she had picked up over the past few months as her stress levels had been at an all time high unfortunately. She knew a few of her friends had picked up on her nervous habit but hadn’t really spoken about it, knowing if they did she would have to explain why she was doing it and they tended to avoid asking about it.
Elena tilted her head to the side a bit when he introduced himself as Angel. “Angel…Pretty name.” she stated before blushing. “You know, in that very masculine way.” Elena groaned internally as she realized what a moron she sounded like. She wasn’t sure what was making her nervous about this man. Sure he was handsome but that wasn’t it. There was something about him that made her on edge but she couldn’t decipher if it was a bad on edge or a good on edge. It almost felt like she had been around him before but that clearly wasn’t it.
The brunette teen studied him for a moment, trying to figure out what it was that felt so familiar but at the same time so foreign. She knew it wasn’t his looks, though if anyone was watching her she had a feeling it would look like she was checking him out. No, she was in love with Stefan and she preferred the way he looked to the way this one looked. He sort of reminded her of Damon with the way he carried himself. Extremely cocky but at the same time extremely…dangerous looking? It was odd but she wasn’t sure how to explain it.
“There are a few things fun around here that don’t involve a hundred thousand people, but if you’re going to live here it might be better to just jump in and get used to it. We had Founder’s Parties, carnivals, dances, all of it. You name it we have it or celebrate it.” She told him with a small smile. “I’m unfortunately a local, born and bred here. I can show you around a bit if you’d like?” She asked him, hoping that he’d say yes in order to give her an excuse to leave, but at the same time hoping he said no so she wouldn’t have to be even more on edge than she already was.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------A soft look came onto his face, appearing to feel bad for startling the girl. Obviously he couldn't careless what the girl felt or if she'd been frightened. All he wanted in the end was her blood on his hands, that was the honest truth. Nonetheless he had to keep up appearances, it was one of his favorite parts of the game. "Bad week?" he asked, pretty successful at trying to make his voice sound genuine. He was a pretty damn good actor, and why shouldn't he be? After all he'd had years of practice, almost three hundred in fact. He may not have been himself that entire time but he was always deeper down, within the creature that lived with a soul. He watched, trying to claw his way out at any possibly opportunity.
The girl's cheeks grew pink when he introduced himself, he knew he'd been right by calling himself Angel. It wasn't his true name of course but that didn't matter, not right now anyways. "Well thank you, I guess I'll take that as a compliment" he replied with a soft chuckle. His dark brown eyes glistened as he faked a smile for her. All of this was a game and it was his job to be as convincing as possible. The girl seemed pretty naive so it wasn't proving to be all that difficult. He was glad he'd chosen her. Still, there was something strange about her. The blood pumping through her veins was faster than that of regular humans. Though he didn't think she was stronger than humans, it definitely had to mean something. This was why he'd chosen her, of course. For some reason she seemed like a challenge to him. Sure he could just rip her away from the crowd and tear into her. And if it came to that, he might just do that. But for right now he was going to stick to his original plan. It was far more entertaining than taking the easy route. The vampire noticed the way that she was looking at him. He was handsome of course, but that was just it. Obviously she noticed this, most females did. He had always known he was handsome ever since he was a human. But the look in her eyes was different. In fact, it seemed like she was weary of him. He just continued to read her body language as he spoke to her. "Alright so a social town, I'll keep that in mind." Before he'd said this, he had nodded his head to acknowledge that he'd heard her. It wasn't a very noticeable nod but it was there nonetheless. "There's nothing wrong with small town girls" he told her with a charming smile. Hopefully she'd believe him and his charm, as she was young enough to still be quite naive. "That'd be great, if you wouldn't mind. I haven't been her long so I haven't really had a chance to check out the town yet." With this, he extended his arm to indicate for her to walk in front of him. "Lead the way" he told her with another smile, flashing his pearly whites. This was going to be much fun indeed. - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -Elena laughed bitterly when Angel asked her if it had been a bad week. “Bad Month…make that plural. Hell, bad year.” She stated, hating it but it being the truth all in the same. She loved Stefan, to no one’s business, loved her friends, hell even loved Damon in a different way, but she hated to admit that her life had gotten all sorts of messed up when they showed up. She meant what she had told Stefan all those months ago before the sacrifice that she couldn’t blame anyone else for what she was going through. Everyone was in danger, everyone had lost people, because of her.
She shook her head, not wanting to go deep in her thoughts at the moment. She had spent enough time obsessing over everything that had happened and she knew that wouldn’t stop anytime soon. However she was currently in the presence of a nice, hot, granted sort of creepy in that dark mysterious way guy and she wasn’t going to let thoughts of all the crap that her life had turned into get her down…or at least she was going to try not to. “You should definitely take that as a compliment. Not many guys could pull the name off.” She stated, her cheeks flushing which was unusual for her.
“You should definitely keep the socialness of this town in mind.” She laughed. “And the fact that everyone in it gossips like they are little old ladies. Just FYI, you’ll be the talk of the town in a day or so. New loner mysterious guy…yep…you’ll have all the girls flocking to you in no time.” She stated, having no idea that it was really the wrong thing to tell him. She wasn’t sure why she had told him at all but it just seemed like something she should warn him about, though why any man would need warning of girls flocking to them was really beyond her at the moment.
She nodded, motioning to head straight. She walked towards the way she motioned to, and looked around as she did. The falls were gorgeous but the woods around her made her on edge. She wasn’t sure why but it could easily be the last time she had been there had been when Vicky had been attacked by a vampire, Damon, and had almost died. She shrugged, knowing there were several around and wouldn’t let her get hurt. It still gave her the creeps. “The falls are gorgeous, the woods are slightly creepy.” She stated to break the silence. Again, she was on edge around this new man, and she couldn’t place her finger on why.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Her laugh seemed light and yet it had a harsh undertone to it. It seemed like even though she was so young, she had already been through so much pain. He hoped that she still tasted as sweet as she looked. Sometimes looks could be deceiving but he hoped they weren’t this time. He was starving and he didn’t feel like looking for something else to eat for the night. ”Maybe I can help improve the rest of it?” He was being flirtatious, that went without doubt. It was undeniable that he was handsome and he knew it. Why not use it to his advantage? Might as well, every advantage should be used if possible.
Somewhere deep down he felt his stomach growl. Something was off about her but he still couldn’t figure out what it was. He had been locked away for a long time, but shouldn’t he still be able to tell if someone was human or not? Of course she was human. But then what else did he sense from her? It was aggravating him that he couldn’t figure it out. He noticed her shaking her head but he didn’t ask her what she was thinking about; he didn’t care. ”Glad to hear that I’m pulling it off then” he said with a smile. Her cheeks reddened and he couldn’t help but smile a bit wider. He loved getting into people’s head, watching the humans squirm. This was all part of the game and it was a game that he held very dear. This small talk wa starting to bore him. It always did, he hated it. Usually right about this time he quit the game and just ripped their throats out. This girl was interesting though, what with her scent. Just because of this and this alone, he figured he’d play a bit longer. His mother had always told him not to play with his food. But, he’d killed her in cold blood so that didn’t matter now did it? ”If your there, I won’t mind being a bit more social.” He realized that he probably looked like a creepy old man right now. She was very young, even only compared to his physical age. People were probably looking at them strange right now. Oh well though, she’d be dead soon enough. He shook his head at hearing her next comment about being flocked too. ”Well, I’m definitely not looking forward to that” he said, his smile shortening. ”I’m more of a one girl kinda guy” he then finished, allowing a bit of a smile to return but not completely. As she led him away from the crowds and into the woods more a bit he couldn’t help but feel he was close to eating. His plan had worked, for some reason she had trusted him enough to leave the crowds with him. They didn’t call him the “one with the angelic face” for nothing. ”Don’t worry, I’ll keep you safe” he said with a grin. He hoped she didn’t notice how devilish it was. Even if it was, she’d probably just assume he was hitting on her again. It made no difference to him. - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She wasn’t sure why but the fact that this mysterious man was flirting with her was setting her more on edge than she had been before. Maybe it was because he was new? Maybe it was because he reminded her of Damon when they had first met? Maybe it was because it seemed recently that every time someone new moved into town they had to do with the damn supernatural vampire world that she was starting to wish more and more every day that she didn’t know about? It could be one of those, it could be all of this. Either way it was putting her on edge and giving her goosebumps.
As the wind blew around her, she felt her hair being blown to one shoulder, leaving part of her neck exposed and she shivered a bit. She hadn’t brought a coat with her as during the day it had been nice. Her long sleeve shirt that was really a long sleeve short dress that she had paired with a pair of jeans and a pair of ballet flats had worked well during the day, but now that the sun had set she could feel the cold kicking in. That also could be because she was a bit freaked out over everything that was going through her mind, but either way she put her hands around her and rubbed her arms up and down, trying to create friction to warm herself up as she chastised herself for forgetting to bring a jacket for tonight.
“You are definitely pulling off the mysterious guy thing.” She stated, bringing her attention back to the man standing next to her. She couldn’t help but snort when he stated that he was a one woman kind of guy. She knew it was rude but she couldn’t help it. “That actually surprises me.” She stated with a quirk of an eyebrow. “You seem like someone who would like a lot of girls flocking to you. You also seem like someone who wouldn’t care if they were young, old, as long as they were pretty.” She stated, challenging him. She wasn’t sure where the sudden bout of confidence had come from but he was rubbing her the wrong back and she wanted to see if her instincts were right or if she was just losing her mind.
She wasn’t sure why, but she shivered when he smiled at her and told her he’d keep her safe. Something about the way he said it made her want to bolt, but she kept calm on the outside. It was rude to feel these things but she couldn’t help it. Nothing about this situation was normal but at that moment she wished she hadn’t walked towards the woods. She groaned when she realized how far away from people they were. She knew if he really was dangerous, which wouldn’t surprise her at all with her luck recently, that she would have no time to run or scream. No one would hear her over the sounds of the festival. Yeah, this night wasn’t shaping up the way she had wanted it too.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Goosebumps were rising on her skin, he couldn't help but notice it on her arms. It was a bit chilly but he wasn't sure if that was the reason. The vampire could sense that she wasn't at ease. Maybe she had just had recent problems with males of some sort that made her nervous around him. Either that or he was creeping her out. He sincerely hoped for his appetite that it wasn't the latter. Angelus noticed that she was cold and hoped that had been the reason for her unease. "If I'd brought a jacket, I would have given it to you" he said charmingly about her apparent coldness.
His skin was naturally cold considering that he was no longer alive. Regardless he reached around her, putting his arm around her shoulder and pulling him into her slightly. He hoped that she wouldn't feel his coldness through his long sleeved shirt. "Is that any better? I'm a bit cold myself" he asked, offering a smile. Hopefully this excuse would make it to where his cold skin didn't cause any alarm. As long as she was unaware of the supernatural world like most humans, she wouldn't think twice about it. A chuckle came from him when she told him again that he was pulling it off. Her snort was slightly annoying to him. It came off rude and Angelus wasn't one that could be treated like that. Although he would continue to play the game and try to keep calm for now, he was having too much fun to ruin it so soon. "Honestly, I used to. But I've settled down since I've grown older." This wasn't at all true of course, Angelus loved women. However Elena didn't need to know any of that. "Now, that is true to some extent. However I don't prefer older women" he said with a chuckle. Obviously he'd added this in there because Elena was so young. She was proving a tad bit difficult to play, though he would get to her eventually. By now they were well into the woods, away from any people that they had been around previously. It was rather dark in the woods too. The only light they had shining was the moon above them. "Do you usually venture out into the woods with strange men, Elena? I mean it could be dangerous, most men probably aren't as nice as I am." A sly smile came onto his face as he said this to her. He figured he would play with her a bit longer before he made his move. She was turning out to be quite intriguing to him, which didn't happen often. Plus he knew that out here no one would hear her scream, so he could take his time with her. The longer he was around her the hungrier he became. Her scent was intoxicating, though different at the same time. There was something off about her. Something nonhuman but he just couldn't figure out what. He sincerely hoped that when he bit into her, that she was one hundred percent human. If not his whole night would be wasted. - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -Elena was surprised when Angel offered that if he had a jacket he would have given it to her. That was when she realized that he wasn’t wearing one. It was strange and as she remembered those around her earlier she had been one of the few without a warm jacket on being that the night was balmy. IT was another thing that she noted was different about this stranger who was honestly starting to scare her a bit. When he wrapped his arm around her she wanted nothing more than to shrug it off but for some reason she kept herself still. She could almost feel the strength coursing through his veins and that made her very nervous.
She simply smiled up at him, hoping that it looked friendly. She wasn’t sure what to say when he asked if that was better. When he stated that he was cold himself she nodded, shivering a bit to complete the act. She hoped they were going back soon, but had a feeling deep in her gut that it would be awhile. “It’s a cold night.” She replied lamely before groaning as her cell phone went off. She used that as an excuse to pull away, reaching into her pocket and noting that it was a text message from Matt. It noted that he wasn’t coming tonight as he had to pull a late night at the grill. Matt and her had gotten closer again recently, regaining some of their friendship. She was glad for that as he was one of the few people she could be herself with anymore.
She quickly text messaged him back telling him to be careful and she’d see him at school tomorrow before pocketing her phone again. “Sorry about that, a friend was supposed to meet me here tonight but he got stuck at work.” She stated, and then almost winced internally when she said that. God how dumb could she be. She could have easily faked an emergency and gotten the hell out of doge but no, instead she pretty much told this complete stranger that she was free. God she hoped someone would find them soon. Usually there were drunks all in these woods but for some reason tonight they were almost empty and that concerned her.
She nodded absentmindedly at Angel’s statement about settling down. “That’s good you’ve settled down. The player thing can only work for so long until it becomes old. A few friends have found that out the hard way.” She told him, thinking of Tyler and Damon both who had been players, and now wanted something neither of them could have.
She shivered again when he asked if she usually came out into the woods with strange men. “Uh no, not usually. I’m actually rarely alone. Usually I’m crowded with friends or ex boyfriends.” She stated with a laugh, hoping she sounded more confident than she was. “Tonight’s the first night in months that I’ve actually been by myself.” She told him, hoping he would note how she said ex boyfriend’s and take a hint. She doubted it but eh, what could she do.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Surprisingly enough the girl didn't pull away when he wrapped his arm around her. This was good, it meant that she probably wasn't too scared. Although he could definitely sense that she was nervous. However she was young so that could of been from many different reasons, not necessarily just that he was giving off a bad vibe. As far as he was concerned he'd done a pretty good job thus far seeming perfectly normal. Or at least, his best possible version of normal. It probably wasn't anything close to a human's version but he had put forth the effort at least, which was more than he could say most of the time.
Her smile seemed a bit forced from what he could tell which was not a very good thing. The longer he touched her the more he noticed that she was a bit afraid. Since she was only a human he just assumed it was because of the situation, of being in the woods with a strange, older man. He highly doubted that she suspected what he truly was or even knew of the supernatural world. "It is, I don't really mind the cold though" he said with a small grin. She shivered and he pulled her a bit closer underneath his arm, tucking her into him. He hadn't shivered or gotten goosebumps all night for obvious reasons. In his mind, tonight was a pretty nice night to be outside. Vampires needn't worry about temperature, whether hot or cold. Although if it was too hot even a natural cold body temperature didn't help much.
Hearing the beep of a cell phone, the girl abruptly pulled away to look at hers. He was a bit angry that she'd pulled away but it didn't particularly matter he supposed. If she tried to run, he'd be on her within seconds. As she texted someone back he simply stood their looking out into the woods. He waved his hand as she apologized for answering the message. "It's fine, I don't mind one bit. I know how you teens are attached to the hip with your phones." A small laugh came from him at this, he was sincerely trying to put on a great show. If not just for her sake but for his as well. As she looked around the woods his eyes followed suit, the both of them noticing that they were extremely empty. That was good, that would make it a lot easier and far more enjoyable. Not quite knowing how to respond to her comment, he only nodded so he was at least acknowledging her statement. In the distance he heard a young child scream in excitement, probably at a carnival ride or game. He knew that Elena wouldn't be able to hear it which was fine with him. She didn't need to know that people were generally pretty close. As they continued to walk through the woods, he continued walking out further into them. He was drawing her away from the crowds, from the people. He didn't want anyone to hear her inevitable screams. His eyes remained emotionless as they had all night. By the way she'd stated ex-boyfriends he knew she was hinting at something. It didn't matter, she wouldn't be around much longer. "Ex-boyfriends? Are you a little heart breaker, Elena?" A devilish grin came onto his face with this. As he spoke, he moved to stand directly in front of her. A strand of her hair had fallen in front of her face and he pushed it behind his ear, letting his hand linger a few moments longer than he probably should have. Her scent was intoxicating and he wouldn't wait much longer, he would make his move in the few moments to come.[/blockquote] ----------------------------------------------- Tag: Elena Word Count: 648 Outfit: Angelus' attempt at looking normal.Notes: And she better watch out, he'll probably pounce next post!

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She shivered a bit against his cold skin but didn’t say anything. She wasn’t sure why but she could feel things about him that she didn’t want to feel. He felt like…like Damon almost and it disturbed her. She hated that she felt like she did around Damon before she had gotten to know him. However his presence, his personality, and just…him…felt like Damon. And that worried her because the Damon that he reminded her of, was the one that she didn’t like. He felt cold to the touch, but then again she probably did as well. She wasn’t sure if it was actual cold or just the cold reflected from the chill in the air.
She was glad when she had an excuse to pull away. It gave her a sense of peace to be at least separated from the mysterious man. She knew realistically even if he was just a normal man, something she was starting to believe he wasn’t as she didn’t have that type of luck in her life these past few years…either way though, even if he was a normal man, she knew that it would be highly unlikely that she could outrun him. She could run a decent pace, but there were a lot faster people out there than her.
She laughed a forced laugh, even to her it sounded forced, when he commented on teenagers being attached to their cell phones. That made him sound older than he looked and that was just another check in the creeper category that she had going on in her head. It was something she and Bonnie had come up with a long time ago when they were bored one day at the Grill. It was a tedious story but either way, the creeper category was starting to skyrocket in her brain.
She heard Angel’s question about being a heartbreaker and she shook her head. “Not at all.” She stated with a laugh. “One of my ex’s and I have been best friend’s since kindergarten, dated for awhile, broke up and are now back to being really good friends. My other ex and I are a bit on the outs for personal reasons but I definitely didn’t break his heart.” She stated before mumbling under her breath, not realizing that he could hear every word. “He broke mine.”
She got the chills again, though she wasn’t sure if it was because they were walking deeper into the woods or if it was colder here because of less bodies around her, but either way she needed to get back. “We are missing all the fun. I think it’s time we start heading back.” She stated before turning her back to him, heading towards where they came from…hoping she would make it more than a few steps.

Please attack her in the next post. Btw, feel free to drink a bit of her blood in your post. It’s not like she’s not been bitten by vampires before . Outfit:: Click here for Elena’s outfit

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Elena continued to feel uneasy around him, though he hoped it was only the atmosphere. Originally they'd been surrounded by other people, people who were laughing and talking and having fun. Now they were in the dark woods, alone and in the cold. He wondered if that was the reason for her uneasiness. After all she was only a teenage girl and this situation would be a bit uneasy no matter who the girl was. In the woods with a strange, older man. However she had been the one to lead him out here so that was her own fault in his book. He was glad she'd taken him here willingly. If she hadn't, he would have had to force her out here somehow. He wasn't going to kill her around a hundred or more people and cause a scene. He didn't need the slayer(s) knowing where he was right now, he would find them later.
Her laugh did not sound quite as genuine as her earlier one's had. Slightly he wondered if it had been his statement that he'd worded incorrectly. To her, it probably sounded like something a father would have said. He was still getting used to being a great actor again and it would take time, no doubt about that. She let the statement go though and didn't question him about it, so he was glad about that. He was rather enjoying playing around with her and he would've been upset if he'd blown his own cover.
The girl's voice grew quieter as she spoke about her ex-boyfriends. Of course he could still hear every word quite clearly, considering that he was a vampire after all. "His loss" he said charmingly, commenting on the guy who had broken the girl's heart. Maybe after he drained her he would rip her heart out and inspect it. After all, he had always hated hearing people say that their heart had been broken. Pain was different, it didn't mean their heart had literally been broken. People nowadays were just so damned dramatic.
Just then he noticed her shiver when he had touched her. After this she turned her back to him, stating that she needed to get back. That would not do. He was not going to allow her to go back into the crowds of people. Angelus had enjoyed playing the game with her, she had definitely entertained him long enough. Now, however, he was done with the game. Now it was time for him to end it and finally feed. His stomach had been growling the entire time he'd been talking to her; he wanted to feed on her badly.
As she turned around, he was on her within a second. "Leaving so quickly?" He said this with an evil smile, even though she couldn't see it since she was facing the other way. "But I was just getting started" he then added mischievously. With this he reached forward and wrapped one of his arms around her waist, the other around her neck. He pulled her back within an instant. He left her mouth uncovered for the moment, he wanted to hear her scream. It was his favorite part. His lips moved to her neck, taking in her scent as his tongue glided over her skin for a moment. Only seconds later, he changed into his vampire visage. He then sank his fangs into her neck hardly, tearing into her flesh and beginning to drink from her. He wasn't being ginger with her. No, there wasn't going to be anything gentle about this.[/blockquote] ----------------------------------------------- Tag: Elena Word Count: 612 Outfit: Angelus' attempt at looking normal.Notes: Seriously...Angelus has been wreaking HAVOC. - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -As she turned her back on him, the breeze around her picked up and she shivered. Though she had a feeling it wasn’t the cold air that was the cause of her shivering. No, not at all. If she would have sat down and thought about it, it would have been clear to her from the moment she had met this man that her unease with him should have been a flashing red light to stay away. Why had she ever thought it was safe to go into the woods with a strange man she had never met? What teenage girl thought that was a smart idea?
Looking at her past it was even more obvious that she should steer clear of those she didn’t know. How many times had she gotten to know someone only to find out later that they weren’t what they said they were? Stefan and Damon were the first examples of that. She had fallen in love with Stefan before she had found out he was a vampire, though she hadn’t admitted it until afterward. She had gotten to know Damon and had forged a sort of friendship with him before she had found out he was a vampire. Alaric was another one who she had gotten to know before realizing that he was a vampire hunter. Granted all of these people were ones who wanted to protect her for the most part, but it didn’t matter.
If she looked at her past with people she didn’t know…it was fairly tragic. Anna had kidnapped her, Katherine had tried to kill her aunt because she hadn’t listened to her demands, Elijah had saved her and then double crossed her…and Klaus had always been a fear of hers that she never knew she had. It was always there, in the back of her mind, but she never realized what it was until she had heard the story of the Petrova line and the role she played as the newest Petrova doppelganger.
Factoring all that in how did she think for even a second that this was smart?
Her thoughts were cut off when she heard his silky voice, though this time there was a malice to it that had been hidden before. Before she could blink he was there in front of her and she froze. He moved faster than she was used to though she should have been with all of the vampires around her these days. She felt his hand over her neck and she let out a scream on instinct, though she knew it wouldn’t matter. Unless someone was actively listening no one would hear her over the sound of the fair going on just steps away from where they were hidden within the woods.
She struggled against him, trying to use all in which she had learned from Ric but the way he had her positioned made it impossible. He was stronger than she was used to and she could do nothing but wait for the inevitable.
