Nutella. Whoever thought of the stuff was bloody brilliant. It was chocolate, but in a delicious spreadable form that actually mixed well with blood for a pate like experience. It was Heaven in a little jar. It was also a lot easier to convince the shop clerk at the twenty-four hour market to sell him chocolate spread than to get the butcher to sell him quarts of blood. He had to convince the man that he was a scientist studying mosquitos. But here Spike was, a little silver suitcase full of blood in one hand and a plastic sack full of Nutella, cigarettes and Wheetabix in the other. But here he was, he had finally made it to Virginia, where it didn’t seem to be as strange as they said. Perhaps Spike had been in one too many apocalypses, but it just was rather quiet. Nothing was on fire. No one was screaming. It was nearly peaceful. There was a bench just outside of the grocer’s, so Spike set his bags down and lit a cigarette. After a few puffs, Spike dug around in his coat for his cellphone, checking the time. 9:46. He had a long night ahead of him. At first, Spike was sure that Richmond would be as dangerous as L.A, and that he would be saving people left and right. After all, if Buffy was here, something must be going down to prevent her from training all the mini-Slayers. But no. There wasn’t anything. Spike finished his cigarette and considered lighting a new one, but stopped himself. If there was any activity to bust up, it evidently wasn’t in this corner of the city. Perhaps there was a club somewhere. If there wasn’t any trouble there, Spike could at least enjoy a drink. Although, his wallet did feel a little light. Hero work didn’t exactly pay well. Oh, well. Someone else might treat him if he smiled nicely enough. Taking up his bags again, Spike moved to his red Dodge Avenger, the car he had rented to take from California to here. He wasn’t quite sure if he was supposed to have returned it by now, but who cared, he would deal with that when he got back to Los Angeles. Spike unceremoniously threw the bags in the back seat and was about to unlock the rest of the car when he caught a scent. And that scent was most definitely Angel. Spike tucked his keys back into his leather duster and scanned the area for his ‘grandsire’. The parking lot was pretty open at this time of night, with only a dumpster against a chain link fence on one side, a few scattered cars in the lot itself and a row of trimmed bushes on the other side. But Spike couldn’t pinpoint exactly where Angel was. “I can smell you, you ponce,” Spike called out, continuing to look around him, “And I’m not really fancying a game of hide and seek right now, so why don’t come out so I can mock you where I can see you?”+++ TAG: Angelus... mwahaha. WORD COUNT 513 NOTES: Spike likes Nutella.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Angelus had been out and about for two nights now. The first night he'd turned, he'd ended up killing five potential slayers. They'd all been living in Buffy's rental house. When she took his sister and fled from the scene, he was left alone with them. Poor judgement on her part, that was for sure. The next night he'd met a young girl in a part. She had taken him back to his place, expecting to get a little action. She definitely got some, just not the kind she'd been expecting. And last night had been the most fun of all.
He'd made the trip out to a small town called Mystic Falls. They'd been having a town event, the Founder's Carnival. The vampire had spotted a tasty looking little thing. Her name had been Elena, he'd attempted to make a snack out of her. Unfortunately she had some sort of bodyguard, a pesky, arrogant little vampire. He'd wiped the floor with him and left, deciding he'd come back for her later. She interested him. She didn't smell human, though she wasn't a vampire or a demon either. At a later date he would certainly return to Mystic Falls.
Tonight he'd ventured out to yet another bar. It was the easiest place to feed, the women were usually drunk and willing. Plus the alcohol that was in their blood then went into himself, furthering his intoxication. What vampire didn't enjoy being drunk from time to time? Tonight though, he'd done pretty damn well. The girl he managed to lure out side hadn't even been twenty one. She was a teenager, whom had used a fake I.D. to get inside. Any vampire knew that the younger the victim, the tastier the meal.
Wiping the blood off of the corners of his mouth, he stumbled out into the street. Not because he was too drunk but instead, he was a bit high. On blood, not on drugs. Even in his human years Angelus had never touched drugs. Alcohol was great and dandy, but that was it. He had smoked a couple cigarettes before but never cared for it, that was Spike's thing. And speak of the devil. As he walked down the alley a familiar scent hit his nose. Spike.
When he smelled him, he moved closer to the scent. Before he did anything he wanted to make sure it was really him. Staying hidden in the shadows, he finally located him. Sitting on a bench having just smoked a cigarette; typical. Even when they'd been a "team", Angelus hadn't cared for Spike. They hadn't gotten along and Spike hadn't liked how close he'd been with Drusilla. Spike and himself had always had a bit of a rivalry. He had thought he was all big and bad for killing a slayer or two. In all truth, Angelus had always been bigger on quantity then quality. Not only that but he liked to play with his food before he ate it. Torturing his prey both mentally and physically was time consuming, he hadn't ever found the time to seek out any slayers. With Buffy knowing that he was back, he knew that would soon change and he'd finally bag one.
As Spike taunted him, he obliged. Stepping out of the shadows he removed his vampire visage, revealing his baby smooth skin. "Well well, Captain Peroxide" his voice showed truly how much he despised Spike. He made no effort to hide it, he didn't care. They both knew that if it came down to it, Angelus would kick his ass up and down this very street. "Shouldn't you be out chasing after Dru somewhere?" he said with a smirk, his voice mocking. Drusilla had always been a soft spot for Spike. Nowadays though, he figured speaking of Buffy would hurt him more. He'd keep that for later. [/blockquote] ----------------------------------------------- Tag: Spike Word Count: 654 Notes: o.O the animosity...

Just hearing Angel’s voice made Spike’s skin prickle. Everything about him caused Spike to change. He stood up straighter, subconsciously knowing he was shorter than Angel. His teeth clenched together. A bad taste filled his mouth. Yes, this happened every time. Sometimes good things came out of his rivalry with Angel—they bettered themselves with their competition over the same things. But a lot of times it was just rubbish. ”You’ve lost your pensive touch, mate,” Spike responded with a sneer. The way Angel spat out that childish nickname just pushed all the wrong buttons for Spike, ”And Dru and me are over. I don’t know where she is.”Well, nearly all of that was true. Spike didn’t know where Drusilla was and Drusilla probably didn’t care about Spike anymore. She was reviled when he admitted his love for Buffy and she would probably faint if she knew Spike had a soul now. Of course, just hearing Dru’s name gave Spike just a twinge of remorse and longing. But it couldn’t be anymore. Dru needed someone evil, which Spike really wasn’t now. And of course, Spike would always feel second to Angel in that relationship. Then something clicked in Spike’s mind. Why exactly was Angel talking about Dru? Angel wouldn’t care about Dru unless… “Ah, no,” Spike snarled, now realizing exactly what was happening. Angelus couldn’t trick him, no matter how hard he tried. Despite hating him, Spike knew what Angel was like, and what Angelus was like, and that extra edge in his voice and lack of sad puppy-dog eyes should have been an instant tipoff. It felt odd, since everything was the exact reverse of how it had been Spike’s first week in Sunnydale. Now he was the one with the soul, and he was now discovering that Angelus had lost his soul. Spike forced out a harsh scoff, ”How could you be so stupid?”The last time Angelus lost his soul so many years ago, Spike was, dare he think it, a little happy that Angelus came back for him and Dru. Spike thought it would be like the old days, when the rivalry had seemed so much more fun. But Angelus pushed him too far, stealing Dru from him and belittling him. Now, in that moment, Spike felt an even worse hatred pulsating through him like blood. It probably showed all over his face, but now, Spike felt righteous indignation. Was this how Angel felt when he confronted Spike all those times for his crimes? Well, who cared! Right now, Spike was the good guy and Angelus was the creep and, although Spike was incredibly pissed off, that thought was a nice ego stroke. Spike closed the gap between them a little more and smelt the human blood emanating from Angelus, ”You’ve been feeding on people. How many?”It didn’t matter what he answered, Spike continued towards Angelus until he was only an arm’s length away. He couldn’t smell the Slayer’s blood on him, but there was something similar. For a second a cold chill washed over him. Angelus couldn’t have gotten Dawn, could he? No, Spike refused to believe that. But just the thought of the little bit getting hurt just egged him on more. They both knew there was only one outcome of this meeting. Spike circled to the right, already analyzing Angelus’ stance, as Angelus was probably doing to him, ”As you might remember, I won our last fight,” Was the fight over the fake prophecy thing their last fight? Ah, well, Spike didn’t really remember and he just wanted to remind Angelus that he bested him at least once, even if he wouldn’t win this one. But that wasn’t the point. ” S’pose I could even kill you like this and nobody would care,” Spike lied. Buffy would eviscerate him if he did such a thing. If she was here, she’d probably punch him for even saying that. But it felt good to bluff. And on the end of that sentence, Spike dashed forward, drawing his arm in front of him and driving it back out again when in range, planning for his elbow to connect with Angelus’ face. Elbows were hard and pointy and hurt. Yeah. Spike was going to get his ass kicked. But at least he wanted to have some fun doing it. +++ TAG: Angelus WORD COUNT: 724 NOTES: Spike confused the potential Slayer blood for Dawn’s… and please leave Spike with a couple of functioning limbs.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Noticing Spike's demeanor after seeing him, he couldn't help but let a small smirk appear on his features. The two had never gotten along and he supposed never would. In a way it almost seemed as if Spike feared him at times. Although at the same time, Angelus knew Spike was too stupid and foolish to be afraid of anything. Angelus was the same way but not quite as dumb about it. He didn't fear anything because he shouldn't. With the Master gone, he had nothing left to fear. The Slayer didn't scare him either. She was the thing that demons had nightmares about; not Angelus, however. He craved her, he wanted her. She had been the Slayer for the longest time, as far as he knew. Her blood would taste amazing.
A small smirk spread across his face hearing Spike. He couldn't help it, they despised each other. Angelus enjoyed his company nonetheless, it was at least entertaining. ”And I see you’ve gone soft, old friend” he told him seriously. The stench of the other vampire’s soul was terrible. Any vampire would be able to smell it from a mile away. Well, any intelligent vampire that is. Angelus was older than Spike and he knew stronger. If this ended in a confrontation, he knew it probably wouldn’t end too well for the other vamp. They tended to get under each other’s skin. More often than not, they came to blows. Angelus was always up for a fight, though he wasn’t going to be the one to attack first. Well, he was going to try not to anyways.
Ah, Drusilla. She was definitely a member of the loony bin. Or rather, she needed to be. Anyways Angelus was responsible for the way she was. When he’d first seen her, he’d immediately felt drawn to her because of her gift. In a way she could see things that hadn’t happened. Not exactly psychic, but different, it was hard to explain.
She was also a Catholic girl, one who hadn’t ever hurt a fly in her life. That was more or less drew her to him. So he’d ended up killing everyone she’d ever loved and turning her. At that time he’d been with Darla and they had treated Dru as somewhat of a daughter. When Drusilla turned Spike, Angelus couldn’t help but feel disappointed at her choice. He showboated about killing the slayers he’d killed, but he’d never done much else. Angelus bagged the five potential slayers last night, but hadn’t killed one until that night. He’d always focused more on the masses.
At hearing that him and Drusilla were ‘over’, he couldn’t help but chuckle. ”She finally got tired of you, eh? You always were a bit on the weak side” he told him with another chuckle. He loved getting underneath Spike’s skin. He always had, it entertained him quite a bit. In fact that was basically the only reason he’d let him stay with Drusilla, himself, and Darla for so long. That and Dru had grown quite attached to him, for a reason unknown to himself. At being called stupid, Angelus stopped pacing around the other vampire. He cocked his head to the side, wondering what he had meant. Spike had finally caught on that he had lost his soul. Not only that, but he assumed that he’d lost it in the traditional way; by sleeping with Buffy. He knew about Spike’s feelings for her, he could have some fun with this. ”How could I be so stupid? How could she be so stupid” he spat back at him. His features then turned softer as he moved closer to Spike. Tilting his head to the side, a smug smirk came across his face. ”Gotta tell you though, Spikey, she is good in the sack. That slayer endurance came quite in handy” he told him with a smile. He didn’t even flinch or seem to notice when Spike closed the remaining gap between them. If one of them threw a punch, they were now close enough to where it would actually connect. ”You did, indeed. However I was weak, that pesky little soul was pecking at me to spare your life.” He then moved even closer, now so close that they were almost chest to chest. Spike was shorter than him, that much was obvious. He stood about a head taller and looked down to him with another smug expression. ”This time? Not so much” he stated calmly. He would have no problem killing Spike, he’d always annoyed him anyways. He also knew that the fight wouldn’t last too long this time, with Angelus being at full strength. When Spike came at him, he was ready. He dodged out of the way of his elbow with ease, laughing as he did. ”Do you really think you can beat me surviving on hogs blood? I drank the blood of five slayers last night, Spike” he told him with another laugh. As all one fluid motion, he spun in an attempt to roundhouse kick Spike in the chest. This was definitely going to be one entertaining night and he wouldn’t have rather been here with anyone else. Alright, except maybe Buffy. [/blockquote] ----------------------------------------------- Tag: Spike Word Count: 869 Notes: Alright so I had him dodge this first blow, but don't worry, it's just because it was the first one. He had already kind of been watching Spike and plus, he's drank the slayer's blood so he's a bit faster. But like I said, don't worry! Spike will get him the next time and probably several times after, lol. They're both going to be quite bruised after this one.

Spike had to chuckle at Angelus calling him weak and soft. Of course, it made him furious, but it had been awhile since he had felt like this and it felt exciting. Angelus knew where to attack him and it sparked a certain kind of bloodlust and anger in him. When he had fought Angel the last time, everything had been too serious and Spike had gotten used to everything having to be so straight-laced when he faced Angel. This was much better, more like how it was supposed to be. This was the dangerous game they liked to play. It riled him up, but it felt fun. ”Well, after I tried to stake her, Dru kinda got the idea I wasn’t interested, Spike gave a quick shrug, ”It was kind of a mutual parting.” Spike left out the part where the reason that he had tried to kill Dru was to convince Buffy he truly loved the Slayer. Angelus didn’t need any more ammunition than he already had. ”I said you’re stupid and I meant you’re stupid. Didn’t say anything ‘bout her and she’d never sleep with you, ‘cause she knows not to,” Spike snarled, a devil like grin on his face, despite his rage. He supposed what he had said sounded like he thought that Angel and Buffy had slept together, but really, it was meant to be shot at Angel carelessly losing his soul. Which, Spike also supposed, Angelus wouldn’t care about. Eh, didn’t matter right now, ”Nice try, but save your ‘I shagged the Slayer’ bullshit. Don’t believe a word of it. You’ve always been a bad, bad liar and you’re only like this because of a stupid mistake you made, sex or no.”This was something that Spike’s stubbornness was good for-believing what he wanted to believe, whether it was true or not. But he mostly had faith in this because he knew that Buffy would not have jeopardized Angel. Spike was sure that something else Angel allowed to happen was at fault. Or maybe some Big Bad wanted Angel and Buffy out of the way, so it used a spell to cause this problem. Either way, Angel should have been more careful. Spike was actually kind of proud that if he ever lost his soul, his personality wouldn’t go through this drastic change. At least, that’s what he thought. But even so, just the idea of Angel and Buffy together like that sent a jolt of envy through Spike. There were only two things that helped Spike cope with losing Buffy to Angel: that it made Buffy happy and that they couldn’t have a physical relationship. He knew it was shallow of him, but that was how it was. So Angelus mentioning it did exactly what he wanted it to do, despite Spike not believing it. He let his jealousy show, he didn’t care how much pleasure Angelus would derive from his anger anymore. Angelus avoided the elbow blow, to Spike’s aggravation. Something was strange. Angelus was definitely faster. So fast that his expression barely changed as he avoided Spike, merely laughing at him. ”Oh, now that’s just cheating,” Spike complained as Angelus told him about draining the five slayer potentials. Well, so much for the killing line being valid at all anymore. No, Spike knew that it was certainly much more likely that Angelus would kill him, but it would be slow. It would be torture. And it would probably hurt like hell, but it would be that time that would allow Spike to do… something. He didn’t know what yet, but it could be at least throwing a few more punches at Angelus, which at this point, sounded just fine. Angelus’ heel connected with Spike’s chest. Spike had managed to move back slightly, ensuring that his ribs would be unbroken for now, but Angelus was fast and it caused Spike to be off balance for a moment, though he recovered quickly, “Can’t beat you, I guess,” Spike admitted as charged back in, swinging a fist towards Angelus’ chin and shifting his stance to hook his foot around the leg which Angelus had used to pivot on during his kick. With any luck, all of Angelus’ weight was still on that leg and he would go down, “But when did that ever stop me? If you’re so souped up you could just snap my neck, we’re both just having a bit of fun at this point, ain’t we? You’re not gonna be like this for long, so I got to get my fill in before you change back. You know she’s gonna stuff that angsty soul into you one way or the other.” And Spike was going to help, if he had any say in it. Not for Angel, but for her. +++ TAG: Angelus WORD COUNT: 798 NOTES: No worries about the dodge count, I totally understand the circumstances are causing a pretty unbalanced fight and I’m not concerned/gonna get mad that Angel is the better fighter, just so you know :). Spike knows he’s getting into some serious trouble, but he’s too stubborn to run away, the dummy.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Just looking at what had become of Spike disgusted him. He was exactly how Angel acted when he locked Angelus away. Like a weak, pathetic animal that needs to just be put down. Spike wasn't a vampire any longer, he didn't feed off of humans. He protects their measly little lives. And for what? Angelus couldn't understand for the life of him why a vampire would protect the human race. Their lives were worthless and usually, they proved this wrong by never doing anything with their lives. Humans didn't deserve to be on this earth at all. If they did, it would be to serve demons in all ways possible. Honestly they interested him at times, but usually just annoyed him. He did enjoy playing with his food before he ate it though most of the time.
It didn't surprise him that Spike was no longer with Drusilla, not one bit. In fact he'd been expecting them to part ways long before that. Once Spike had fallen in love with Dru, he'd gone soft. Drusilla on the other hand needed a real man. Not a teddy bear with bleached hair and black nails, she needed someone who could really take care of her. Plus Drusilla had always wanted a child. Well, to turn one anyways and call it her own. Spike had felt like it would have held him down, so they'd always disagreed on that. In his own opinion, Angelus loved to feed on them and kill them, but would never turn one for himself. Seemed like it would be too time consuming. It had been one of the only things he'd ever agreed with Spike on.
Another sly smile creeped onto his handsome features. He just couldn't help it, he loved bugging the hell out of Spike. "You tried? Have you gone that soft that you couldn't even slay Dru?" The fact that he was unsuccessful was kind of embarrassing for his fellow vampire. Though she was older, Dru was never the best fighter. Usually she was able to do more with her mind then physically. "That's good to know though, maybe I'll have to pay old Dru a visit and catch up on old times." His smirk widened at this. Spike had always been jealous of his relationship with Drusilla. Hell, even Darla had been jealous of his relationship with her. Angelus couldn't help but have a soft spot for his sire. He would have loved to have her here with him if he could. They'd always made a great pair. She had made him what he was today and he knew she'd be happy to see him back to his old ways. He was happy to be back, he just wished he had a partner in crime. Maybe he'd turn someone just for the fun of it. Another time though, right now he was having a lot of fun antagonizing Spike. At hearing Spike's disbelief he simply shrugged. Whether he truly believed him or not, he knew the possibility of it being the truth bugged him. Spike had grown to feel for the slayer. He wasn't sure why but she had a way of attracting vampires. Honestly, he supposed it was the darkness within her that needed something above human. He didn't blame her, sex with humans just wasn't the same. They couldn't possibly keep up with vampires or slayers no matter how they tried. "Say what you want Spike, you know it bothers you. She never loved you like she loved me. Hell, I lost my soul and she still loves me. That's what makes this so much fun" he told him, a devilish look in his eye. The fact that she loved him, soul or not, had always excited him. It made the prospect of killing her that much more entertaining. The elbow sent to him from Spike was easily avoided, sending a chuckle from deep down in his chest. His roundhouse kick connected with the smaller vampire's chest, causing him to become unbalanced. He knew he probably could have put more force into it, but he didn't want this too end too soon, it was just too much fun. Angelus ducked out of the way of Spike's fist, though Spike did managed to catch the leg that he'd kicked him with. Unfortunately his weight had indeed all been on that leg which was a careless mistake on his part. He tumbled down landing on his hands, his back facing upwards towards Spike. Luckily his reflexes helped him quickly to recover. As he landed in a push up position, he thrust his back leg back towards the vampire again aiming for the groin area. Feeling pretty ensured that his foot had hit, he jumped back up into a standing position. "Your right, this is fun. I'll kill you once I'm bored" he told him with a smirk. His vampire visage then came out to play, his face changing instantly. He didn't care if passerby's seen him at this point. "Not this time. She'll be dead before she has the chance" he told Spike with a snarl, baring his fangs. He then sent out a right hook towards the other vampire's right cheekbone, hoping to at least crack it, if not shatter it. He was enjoying himself quite a bit at the moment, this night was definitely picking up. [/blockquote] ----------------------------------------------- Tag: Spike Word Count: 923 Notes: Spike hit him pretty good this time. I have no doubt that Angelus will come out on top, considering that he just drank five slayers. Experienced slayers or not, they still have slayer blood! Nonetheless, they will both be pretty bloody after this one. Sorry this took so long by the way, hope it was worth the wait!

”Well, I got shot with a crossbow. Kinda too busy to kill her,” Spike huffed, annoyed that they were even still talking about it, ”Just had too many women to deal with at once.” Spike’s jaw clenched as Angelus talked about Buffy’s affections. He knew everything he was saying was true. Spike just didn’t want to hear it from Angelus. Well, actually, there was one thing in there Spike could set straight, and whatever he could say, he would. Spike gave a little chuckle, “I don’t have to admit anything. And I hate to tell you, but it’s not you she loves. She loves a little poofster called Angel. Buffy absolutely loathes you. You’re the monster that keeps her from her perfect little life. And doesn’t that make you happy?” Spike jeered, his upper lip curled for a second in disdain. Even though his elbow jab and punch missed, Spike did manage to pull Angelus down, which gave Spike a little thrill of accomplishment. Turning quickly, Spike tried to bring his heel down into the back of Angelus’ head, but the other vampire struck out with back leg and hit Spike’s groin. Spike fell back a bit, knees bending, his teeth tightly clenched together. But he managed to straighten back up as Angelus pushed himself back into standing. The blonde vampire grinned for a second at Angelus’ death threat. It was kind of funny, but Spike supposed that would be a rather hard promise to go through. Spike knew he would always react to whatever Angelus did to him, and as long as Spike was fighting back, he would be entertaining Angelus. When they had first met, perhaps Angelus would have been more inclined to kill him, but in more recent years, their relationship had become this tug-of-war of power, despite having souls or not. It wasn’t just destiny making them covet the same things and people. ”Yeah, keep telling yourself that,” Spike spat, referring to Angelus’ comment about killing the slayer, ”She’s come back more times than y-“And that’s when Angel’s right fist connected with the side of Spike’s face. He felt as if a sudden swell of gravity forced him down. It was actually more across, probably, considering that he felt the temple on the other side of his head smack into the brick wall of the grocery store. Spike used the wall to steady himself but he was still a bit disoriented from the sheer force of Angelus’ blow. He could feel a slight amount of blood start to bead on his forehead, but Spike forced himself to face Angelus again and followed suit, changing to his demonic face. He felt a small boost in power and his strength to stand was replenished, but he could still sense that the battle wasn’t anywhere close to being in his favor. A quick glance around parking lot confirmed Spike’s suspicion that there was no advantage that he could find, whether that was high ground or a weapon of some sort. Well, back to using fists and feet then. Spike pushed off the wall for a bit of extra speed and power and swung out with a quick kick his right leg, trying to catch Angelus in the stomach. He retracted the leg and shifted his weight back to it, then threw out a left cross towards Angelus’ face. Perhaps he should have taken a more defensive stance, but right now that was the furthest thing from Spike’s mind. ”Is that your big scary plan?” Spike scoffed, ”Do in the Slayer? Yeah, cause no one has thought of that one before. And you know if you do that, you lose your safety net and everyone will want you dead.””You can kill one slayer, but I don’t think I’ve seen you against an entire army. In fact, you were the one who always made us run away from those hordes of riled townsfolk all those times. An angry mob of witches and little Slayerettes? You’ll be weeping to have your soul back.“Thinking about it more intently, Spike knew that his threat was right. Heck, Willow had nearly destroyed the world once over grief all by herself. He was pretty sure if Buffy died, Willow alone could incinerate Angelus whether Slayer blood was in his veins or not. And that was the advantage they had. Buffy had friends who were loyal to her. Angelus was alone. "C'mon, you don't have anything more?," Spike asked, alluding to both Angelus' fighting and his plans, "I'm kind of disappointed."+++ TAGS: Angelus WORD COUNT: 757 NOTES: Definitely worth the wait. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Heh, Angelus could careless what had prevented him from killing Drusilla. The bottom line was that he hadn't been able to do that. Considering her level of strength, that was just downright embarrassing. "Too many women? Highly doubt that" Angelus shot back with a sneer on his face. The both of them hated each other with a passion. Spike had always gotten on Angelus' nerves, he couldn't stand the other vampire. Just hearing his voice reminded him of the noise of nails on a chalkboard. It irritated the hell out of him. His ridiculous accent and his stupid words. "Poof", "pet", he always sounded so stupid. It was pissing Angelus off just thinking about it.
Blah blah blah, that was all he heard right now. Hell it was all he ever heard out of Spike. "No, I hate to break it to you. Whether I have a soul or not, she loves me either way, even if you don't want to admit it." Spike could deny it all he wanted but they both knew it was true. Buffy's affections weren't just for him without a soul. They transferred onto Angelus, whether she wanted them to or not. It was the reason that he could get into her head so easily. Messing with her entertained him greatly. Just watching her squirm, distressed at what to do about him filled him with joy. It made him happiest to watch her cry, as he had several times before. Hopefully he'd kill that little witchy friend soon and watch her cry yet again. Boy, would that be the perfect day. And so, the fight continued. It seemed that they were chatting in between blows. One would dodge and say something, throw a punch, and the other would dodge and repeat the act. In between throws they would talk more crap to each other, trying to egg the other one on even more. Angelus' leg hit Spike where he'd intended it too, nailing him in the groin with a brute amount of force. It had been just in time too because he'd been attempting to kick Angelus in the head. Angelus got back on his feet quickly just as Spike had regained his composure. It hadn't been the hardest hit because it'd been backwards, though it'd still been a pretty good one. The almost three hundred years old vampire didn't need to keep telling himself anyways. If he wanted the slayer dead, she'd be dead. He'd been locked away for too long to go back so soon. If he got things how he wanted them, he'd never have to go back into his cage. Plus he was hyped up on enough slayer blood right now that he felt, probably with good proof, that he could take anyone on. Spike had always been an easy fight. Well, except for when Angelus was locked away and the weakling called Angel was out. Angel had always refused to just dust Spike, which was unfortunate for Angelus who had always wanted him gone. The other vampire started to say something about how she's come back from the dead, that was before Angelus' fist connected with his face. Abruptly he quit talking as the fist collided into his temple. Spike hit the brick wall beside them hardly, making a thud against the wall. Blood trickled down from the side of his head that had hit the brick, Angelus couldn't help but smirk when he seen this. "Just give up already Spike, your sorry" he told him mockingly. Basically, he was calling Spike pathetic. Honestly he'd only done it to aggravate him even further. But the other vampire didn't listen and instead, he got back up and turned around for some more. Angelus had to admit that Spike was relentless, he definitely had a quite a bit of fight in him. Poor fight, but fight nonetheless. He wagged a finger at Spike's explanation of Angelus' plan, signalling that he was incorrect. "Spikey, you have it all wrong." He walked a bit to the side, looking into the distance as he thought. Finally he turned back to face him again, though he was still pondering. He didn't want to go into full details with him. "I actually do have a plan. And while Buffy will end up dead, that's not my main concern." He told him, explaining himself, though not really sure why he felt the need to. He didn't exactly feel like he had too but he just kind of felt like it. "I'd tell you, but you just aren't the same anymore. Not since the slayer starting spanking you regularly" he said mockingly. In all honesty, he looked down on William. In a way he saw him as worthless. Even more worthless than a human. The curse had been forced upon Angelus, but Spike had chosen to have a soul. He was a sad excuse for a vampire and he needed to go. Did he have anything more? He did, and he could go all night. Instead of responding with words he threw three punches into the other vampire. The old, one two three move. He aimed directly for the vampire's stomach, aiming to make damage on his ribs.[/blockquote] ----------------------------------------------- Tag: Spike Word Count: 906 Notes: Oh yes. They will both need serious injury treatment by the time they're done, lol.

Funnily enough, it was true that when Spike tried to kill Drusilla that he had too many women around. They were all trying to kill him or each other, but it was true. But to tell that to Angelus would only make him laugh and right now Spike was having enough trouble. The smarmy looks Angelus had plastered all over his face just made Spike’s stomach churn. He was probably pleased that more of his attacks had hit, and hit much harder than Spike’s. Spike didn’t respond to the argument over Buffy’s love anymore. The way he saw it, it was only the reflection of Angel, the potential that she could bring him back that stopped her from killing him. If she had to, the Slayer would destroy Angelus. It would kill her, but she would do it if necessary. Was that love? Not for Angelus, in Spike’s book. And yet Angelus still considered Buffy’s hesitance to kill him to be a sign of her feelings. Spike felt it was kind of annoying that Angelus would separate himself from Angel in one moment, and use him as an excuse in the next. That was the problem, really. Should Angelus be considered a different man than Angel or not? Well, actually, it was more of Buffy’s problem. Spike hated them both and was fine playing enemy to either. But really, seeing them as two people was only Spike’s way of coping. Angel was the one that Dru and Buffy went to when he called whereas Spike was the one they used when Angel wasn’t around. And Spike always let those girls use him, which he supposed, was where weakness his weakness stemmed from. That’s what Angelus was picking apart. But Spike wouldn’t admit this to himself or anyone else. It was selfish, but he liked having Angelus around, because Angelus was the one Spike could fight without being the annoying jealous upstart. And that’s part of the reason he still stood his ground, a bit shakily, but still adamant that he couldn’t run. It wasn’t that Spike thought retreat was never a viable option. If he was smart, he’d probably try to escape now, wait until the Slayer blood had worn thin and attack Angelus at another time. The other reason was he was facing Angelus. Running from him would be something Spike would never forgive himself for. He figured staying is what he had to do, even without the rage that still pumped through him and Angelus’ taunting advice for him to stay down. ”As I recall, I did more spanking than she did,” Spike said with a jauntier tone than he had meant, even though he was grinning ear to ear. Although he really wasn’t planning on dishing out too many more insults, that one was just begging to be replied to. But Spike’s endurance was still waning, especially in comparison to Angelus’, so sharing witty battle dialogue was becoming less desirable for him. But, still, knowing that Angelus was up to something else other than just revenge on the Slayer was more than Spike had expected to get out of him. Knowing what and where would be impossible to get out of Angelus, but a little information was better than none. Spike managed to deflect one Angelus’ hands, but the other caught Spike’s side. He didn’t hear any cracks, but the pain was intense and he was sure that it would cause some bruising down to the bone. With a grunt, he shoved himself a bit back from the other vampire and kicked out at Angelus’ knee. Perhaps he could break it or get him off balance again. Regardless, once Spike retracted his leg, he quickly circled to the side, hoping to avoid any retaliation. He felt a bit of blood drip past his eye. ”If that was your attempt to impress me, I’ll let you try again,“ Spike flicked the trail of blood from his forehead. He probably shouldn’t have been talking, but he couldn’t help it. ”Stop holding back, yeah?” And with that said, Spike rushed back in, trying to deliver a punch to Angelus’ jaw. +++ TAGS: Angelus WORD COUNT: 690 NOTES: Ah, it’s getting harder to keep fighting against Angelus when he’s being so wonderfully evil!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Captain Peroxide chose not to respond to him any longer about Buffy. Angelus figured that it either upset him or pissed him off. Either way, he didn't care. In fact he couldn't careless about his Grandsire's feelings. Spike could be blowing in the wind for all he cared. If Angelus had this way tonight hopefully he really would be some more dust blowing in the wind and his thoughts would come true. Although he had a feeling that Spike would run before he would die. He was a coward and he always had been. Angelus couldn't even count how many times he'd watched the other vampire flee from a threat. He'd even seen him flee from the slayer. Angelus had run from her as well, but not because he couldn't kill her. He had simply wanted to kill her another time.
Honestly it was surprising to Angelus that Spike was even still here, that he hadn't run yet. He knew for a fact that he had to be getting tired. As far as he knew, the other vampire hadn't been drinking human blood. Instead he'd been drinking hogs blood from a butcher. All vampires knew that in order to stay strong, they had to drink human blood. A vampire who drank non-human blood was more than likely weaker than one who drank human blood. Not only had Angelus drank human blood, but it'd been slayer's blood. It was almost like he was on speed right now he felt so strong, so fast. He knew that his hits were hitting a lot harder than Spike's.
The slayer blood definitely aided to that fact he was hitting harder, but it wasn't all because of that. Angelus was also over a hundred years older and a lot more experienced. Spike had gotten the best of him in their last fight, but that had been with his other, weaker half, not Angelus himself. No, Angelus wouldn't be defeated. He would sooner die than lose and Spike knew that. If he was smart, he'd fear it too.
Even though he was having trouble even standing at this point, his opponent got back up anyways. He was shaky as he first stood up, stumbling a bit. As Angelus threw a couple punches at the vampire only one of them hit, the others he deflected. Nonetheless the one that had managed to hit had hit quite well. The sheer force behind it had been quite immense and he noticed that Spike was quite taken aback by it. Although since he'd been watching Spike's face too much, he hadn't notice the kick he sent out to Angelus' knee. Feeling it hit right in the center of his knee cap he shot to the floor immediately. The knee that had been kicked fell to the ground, all of his weight landing on it. Now he was kneeling before Spike on one knee. He looked up angrily and snarled at him, angered to have been hit.
This was going to end soon, Angelus had had it with this. Spike was now beginning to really piss him off. "I don't need to impress you, you already know." He said through his teeth angrily. As Spike's fist flew towards his jaw, he grabbed his fist in his hand. Still on one knee, he pushed back at Spike in an attempt to knock him back far enough to be able to stand up. He didn't want to be here all night with Spike. Already he was growing tired of this fight. Once he stood up, he was going to finish it quickly. No more playing around, no more letting him get easy hits. He was going to end this and he was going to end it quickly. "Can we just hurry this up? Places to go, people to kill" he said snobbishly. [/blockquote] ----------------------------------------------- Tag: Spike Word Count: 649 Notes: Should we end the fight soon? BTW, I made Faith a thread in the cemetery and tagged Spike. It's open too so others will probably pop in. Not only that, but I'm thinking of having Angelus eventually enter and rough up Faith. Sound's like fun, eh? Lol so just let me know when you want Spike to get knocked out. PS: <3 these two hahahaha.

The pain was starting to creep up and take over Spike’s concentration. His head pounded even as he felt the blood dripping from his forehead slow. God, he hoped he hadn’t cracked his skull when he hit the brick wall. His vision might have started to blur as well, but Spike couldn’t really tell. Things were moving too fast and Spike was relying more on instinct, what he remembered of Angelus’ fighting style and trying to keep moving rather than what he actually saw in front of him. Sometimes Spike wished he had the self-control to drink human blood. If he thought hard enough, there probably would be a way to legally obtain it, and he would probably have been less of a mess if he had human blood in his system. But other than stealing it or hurting someone, Spike didn’t know of another way to get it off the top of his head. And due to his soul, Spike didn’t find those viable options anymore. Even if he did start drinking human blood somehow, he didn’t really trust himself to not attack someone once he got used to that diet. A soul was only a compass and not a true inhibitor like that stupid chip was. But then again, as his foot connected with Angelus’ knee cap and the other vampire fell to one knee, Spike felt a little better that he was still putting up a fight rather than having Angelus walk all over him. But he knew that it would only be a matter of time before Angelus got angry. And when the dark haired vampire looked back up at him, Spike felt his first little tremor of fear, recognizing what he had done. But fear was one of those emotions that got mixed in with Spike’s anger and ambition. He was a thrill seeker, after all, and feeling fear made Spike a little excited. At the same time, he knew he had made a big mistake and that Angelus was going to respect Spike’s request not to hold back anymore. That was the negative side to Spike’s fear. He knew that this was going to be over soon, and Spike was sure that’s what Angelus was referring to when he said that he didn’t need to impress Spike. Regardless of his feelings, Spike swung his fist forward, which Angelus caught deftly and used it to push Spike back. It threw Spike back at least four or five feet, and with his injuries, the blond vampire had a difficult time finding his footing. He finally became steady, watching for Angelus to stand. The pain was making his body feel like it was covered in acid. Angelus had hit him everywhere down to his knees and with strength Spike thought wasn’t possible out of a vampire. ”I’m sorry, princess,” Spike replied to Angelus wanting to finish up the fight. He paused for a second as he suddenly tasted his own blood in his mouth. When had that happened? One of the earlier punches must have split his lip, ”But I’m sure all your unwitting victims will be just fine waiting a bit longer.”+++ TAGS: Angelus WORD COUNT: 526 NOTES: Go ahead and drop him anytime you like XD. You have my permission to do anything and godmod him into unconsciousness to close the thread.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Spike was more than likely right about Angelus holding back. It wasn't because he didn't want to kill Spike, but more or less that he was having fun. He enjoyed a good fight every now and then. If he were to truly aim to down Spike it would have been over a lot earlier. Fighting was definitely a past time of the two. Over the almost two hundred years they'd known each other, they'd gotten into more than a few brawls. Usually it wasn't fights to the death such as this however. Usually it was a rivalry thing where one of them pissed the other off and they threw a punch or two. Right now though this wasn't just rivalry. It was rivalry mixed with many other factors. Angelus had been pushed over the edge by Spike's comments and he decided he would end this sooner rather than later.
Once Spike noticed that Angelus wasn't playing around anymore, the look on his face seemed to change. His eyes weren't quite as fierce and if anything he seemed afraid. It made Angelus chuckle inside to see Spike afraid of him. It was definitely with due cause however, as Angelus was definitely one to fear; especially right now, what with all of the slayer blood he had in his system. He was on a mission and he would be damned if he let Spike stop him. He had a lot of things on his list to do and the blonde vampire wasn't going to get in his way, Angelus would kill him if he even continued to try.
Being kicked in the kneecap was it for Angelus. This was going to end and it was going to end right now, no ifs and's or but's. As he grabbed Spike's fist he pushed him back about five feet or so. As the man stood stumbling and trying to regain his balance, Angelus stood back up on his feet. His balance was a bit off at first but it came back a lot sooner than Spike's, unluckily for the peroxide headed vampire. "Ya know Spike, you should really learn to not run your mouth quite as much." Angelus spat angrily, throwing a punch to his face. He knew it wouldn't hit, he hadn't meant it to. As he had suspected Spike dodged out of it's way. As soon as he did, Angelus used the leg on the same side of the arm he'd just used and kicked him in the stomach.
"It's your biggest downfall" he continued, kicking the vampire yet again but this time directly in the ribs and a bit harder. Spike stumbled backwards a bit as he lost his balance. Moving forward unnaturally fast, Angelus was on him in a second. He punched him twice in the nose, just enough to make his head snap back painfully. Taking a step back, he kicked him in the chest in order to push Spike back against the wall. Once he hit his back against the wall Angelus was right in front of him. He sent numerous blows to his head, chest, stomach and then finally to both of his knees. The other vampire collapsed to the floor, bloody and bruised. Angelus had a couple bruises of his own but they weren't even comparable to Spike's. Angelus moved to the left, where a pile of wooden pallets were laying. He stepped on one of them to break off a piece. Moving back to Spike, he lifted it above him to stake him. Before he brought it down, he had a revelation. He brought it just to the left of Spike's heart, barely missing it, but missing it on purpose. The other vampire groaned and at hearing it, Angelus only smirked. "Tell Buffy I'll be seeing her soon" he said with a chuckle, before disappearing into the night and leaving Spike to lie there in painful agony.
