- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She sighed as she looked through her clothes. She loved dances, she really did, but she had a feeling that her school had more dances than most. Not only were there the normal ones like homecoming, prom, back to school dance and the winter formal…but there were also the period dances like the 50’s dance, the 60’s dance, the 70’s dance, and every once in awhile they would have the 80’s dance. They also had the Mystic Falls Founder’s Day Dance, the Miss Mystic Falls Pageant/Dance, and a whole slew of others. It was exhausting sometimes, and if you didn’t have a parents with well paying jobs who could afford it, it tended to be expensive in order to constantly have to buy new clothing (especially for the girls).
She took her dress out of her closet as she was thinking. She hadn’t worn this one yet, but it was a dress that her mother had picked out a long time before she died. It was one of those impulse buys when they had been window shopping. She had loved the dress but as of yet had nowhere to wear it. She wasn’t even really sure why she was going in the first place to the Valentine’s Day Ball but she had promised Bonnie and Caroline so here she was, putting on a dress that would have looked ten times better with Stefan by her side…but that obviously wasn’t going to happen. She wasn’t at all looking forward to this dance, which was unusual since she was usually the first one in line ready for the next dance to happen.
She put on the purple colored dress, it fitting over her curves perfectly on top, and poofing out at the bottom. Her hair was already styled in wavy curls (almost like her ancestors but not nearly as curly) then put half back into a pony tail. Her necklace matched her dress being made out of diamonds (fake of course, hello, she was only 17) and a bracelet on her wrist. The bracelet was a new item that had been given to her by Damon. She had talked to him the day before about going to the dance and he had come back to her with the bracelet that was dipped in vervain. He simply stated that her necklace wouldn’t match a formal dress and to wear it instead. She had originally questioned him on why he was being so nice but when he said he just wanted her to be safe and feel beautiful even though she had been going through a tough time recently…she gave in to his request.
She grabbed her clutch purse that housed her phone, her cash and her id, grabbed her keys and headed out the front door. She grabbed her cell phone once in her car (it was extremely awkward by the way to drive while in a formal dress) and shot a text message to Lexi who was chaperoning telling her that she was on her way.
Ten minutes passed as she drove towards the Hilton. She easily found a parking spot and got out, noting the couples that were quickly walking towards the door. This was honestly the first dance in years she had gone to by herself. Before her and Stefan had been together she had been with Matt and they had gone to the dances together. It felt strange, and it was not a feeling she really liked, though she wouldn’t admit that to anyone but herself.

---------------------- ---------------------- Jeremy was rummaging threw his closet trying to find his suit, Jeremy didn’t mind much when he came to getting dressed up. Most guys weren’t all for it, but it didn’t really bother Jeremy much. Maybe it because of the town he came from with all there history there, or the fact that he school was always hosting some kind of dance. So it seemed like he was always getting dressed up for something going on. Jeremy finely found his suit after like ten minutes, it was barred way in the back of his closet. Elena must have pushed it back there when she was putting his clothes away, “Elena you got to let me put my own stuff away for now on” Jeremy said shaking his head back and forth.
Jeremy was looking at himself in the full length mirror, he was checking his tie and making sure his cuff links were in place. He button up his suit jacket and fixed his shirt, Jeremy pushed his hair back with his hand adjusting it so it wouldn’t stand up. When he knew that he looked ok and all was ready to go, he walked over to his dresser a grabbed his nice wrist watch that Elena had given him. She got it for him on a his past birthday. Jeremy then sat down on his bed for the last thing he needed, he slipped on his nice shoes and was ready to go.
Jeremy grabbed his keys made it down stairs and was out the door, he made his way over to his car he was in a bit of a hurry. He had told Elena he would meet her there ten minutes ago, he hoped that she wasn’t staring to worry like she always dose. But if she didn’t do that then she wouldn’t be Elena, that’s just something that she did and Jeremy did loved her for that. Jeremy didn’t have many people in his life anymore that cared for him, with losing his Mom and Dad even Vicky, Elena was all he had anymore so he was happy she was there for him.
Jeremy made it to the Ball and the place looked packed all ready, he was going to have some trouble in finding a place that was for sure. Finely after searching his ass off he found a place and parked the car, he got out of the car and looked to see if he saw anyone he knew around. He then saw Elena, “Hey Elena wait up!” Jeremy said running over to her.

Another event for Mystic Falls, the annual Valentine's day ball. Usually they hosted it as a masquerade but for some reason they'd opted out of that tradition this year. It seemed that Mystic Falls literally have multiple events every year. It was quite the job to keep up with them all. She couldn't remember the last time she'd missed a dance. Ever since she had been little she'd gone to them religiously. Not only did she attend them but half of the time, she planned them as well.
This was no different for the Valentine's day ball. She had been the head of the planning committee for the ball. All morning she'd been at the hotel decorating and making sure everything was in order. Her mother had paid for her to have a room for the night. It made things easier for her to just get ready here instead of going home, getting ready and then driving right back. There had been a lot of work that she'd put into this ball and she hoped it went well and everyone had a good time. She also hoped that no one (Stefan, Klaus) uninvited showed up.
All of the jewelry that she was going to wear tonight had been given to her by her father. Even though he had captured and tortured her, she couldn't help but love him. After all he was her dad and she did indeed save him from a death at the hands of Damon. She still smirked whenever she thought about that night. Tossing Damon off of her with ease due to her anger and watching the look on his face at her strength. Granted she had only been so strong because of the adrenaline but still, it had been pretty funny when she thought about it after the fact. Nonetheless, if she never seen her dad again she knew she would probably be fine. It’d hurt as it always had but hey, she’d dealt with it before and she’d get over it. Her mother was there for her now and she had her friends, so it wasn’t as if she was alone.
The pink dress that she picked out for the ball was new, she’d bought it about a month ago in anticipation. She had used her “emergency” credit card given to her by her mother. The color went perfectly with the Valentine’s day theme and plus, she loved pink. It accentuated her perfectly and the color brought out her rosy cheeks. Her doe brown eyes didn’t really help much but she knew that was out of her hands. Pairing the outfit with a white clutch and a pair of white sling backs, she got dressed and ready to go.
Heading out of her hotel room, she got into the elevator and patiently waited as she was taken downstairs. As she made her way to the banquet hall, she stopped frequently to tell people hello and give them their greetings. A lot of people from school had already begun showing up and the chaperones were all there as well, for the most part anyways. As she strut into the hall, she looked around for any familiar faces. Towards the other entrance she spotted Elena and Jeremy and began walking over to them to say hello. She didn’t see anyone else yet but she really hoped everyone would attend, it had been a while since they’d been able to actually have some fun. ”Hey guys! How does everything look?”
she said to them smiling, giving both of them a big hug.

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She wasn’t sure why she got roped into chaperoning a high school dance, but here she was getting all gussied up to go watch a bunch of teenagers paw at each other all night. It would be entertaining if nothing else but she had a feeling it would get really old really quickly as well. Oh well, at least she had a chance to get pretty and put on some fancy dress that she hadn’t had a use for in a while. Lexi loved to shop but hardly had anywhere to wear half the clothing she owned so she didn’t tend to travel with it. However when Elena had informed her that there was a Valentine’s Day Ball and that they were in desperate need of chaperones, she had dragged the brunette shopping and gotten herself a new dress to fit the occasion.
The dress was hot pink as was one of her favorite colors, and very thin strips. It had a slit up the side that was almost indecent and a part on the back that was completely gone...leaving most of her back completely bare. Her heels were pink and about 4 inches high. She had on a diamond bracelet, a ring with a pink stone in the middle of it, a diamond and pink necklace and hoop earrings. Her look was cemented by her blonde hair pulled back and to the side, flowing down one shoulder in waves. She knew she looked hot, and no one would try and tell her differently.
She picked up her pink clutch purse that really had nothing in it except her lipstick and credit card with ID. Other than that she was good to go. Instead of driving in her dress which wasn’t an easy feat she had learned over the years, she simply ran at vampire speed, thanking everything once again that vampire speed meant little to no wind which meant her hair was in perfect condition when she arrived to the parking lot of the Hilton Hotel.
Once arriving she immediately listened closely and heard Elena’s voice, in which she headed over towards. She didn’t want to say it and didn’t allow Elena to think it, but she was really there to protect the brunette girl if any way possible. She knew Stefan’s ripper ways…he liked to hurt those around him. She knew that he would most likely show up here tonight if nothing else to cause a bit of grief to those around him, and she didn’t want him to feel guilty later that he had hurt Elena. She already knew when Stefan came back to them (which he would) that his guilt was going to be overwhelming, she wanted to attempt to make sure he didn’t have to feel anymore.
“Hey ladies, and gentleman.” She stated, smiling at Caroline, Elena and Jeremy. “Looks like a big crowd tonight. Are you going to go in or are we going to just stand here all night?” She asked with a wink, not really knowing what they were doing but figuring she would break the ice somehow. Lexi wasn’t a shy person and would talk to anyone, so why not start with people she already sort of knew.

------------------------------Bonnie wasn't sure about going to the dance. She hadn't been in the best of moods lately. She was worried about everything and she wanted to help Elena she really did. Bonnie just didn't think that Elena should be too trusting of Stefan right now. His humanity was turned off by Klaus and Bonnie didn't think that even Elena could bring him back from that. It was hard for her to think about yes. She considered Stefan a good friend. She really did but after all that has happened she just didn't trust him. She wanted Stefan as far away as possible. Bonnie didn't like vampires in the first place but she tolerated some because they were her friends. Damon, Stefan, and Caroline were all the exceptions to her hating vampries. Damon and Stefan she forgave and came to the conclusion that it wasn't their fault that her grandmother died. Damon had even became a great ally. Caroline didn't have a choice about becoming a vampire. Caroline had been her friend forever and it was half of Bonnie's fault that she was one. She had told Damon to feed her his blood to keep her alive. She didn't know Katherine would kill Caroline to turn her and mess with Elena and Stefan. They all had wanted the same thing. Klaus gone and Elena safe.
She sighed as she looked through her closet for a dress to wear. She wanted something that she hadn't worn to a dance yet. Something that no one had seen on her yet. She continued to shift through the clothes in her closet. She ran a hand through her hair as she closed her eyes trying to think. She knew she had something to wear. She had went shopping a couple days ago and she could have sworn she had bought a new dress then too. She found it finally and smiled. She stared at the dress and sighed. She couldn't wait to see Jeremy, Elena, and Caroline. She quickly fixed her hair and makeup. She wasn't in a rush so she took her time getting ready. She knew that if she didn't go though Caroline would chew her out the next day. She smiled as she knew that wasn't literally but if you knew Caroline you would understand what she meant. She smiled and put on her dress. She smoothed it out as she looked at herself in the mirror. She put on a necklace that she had just bought to go with the dress and matching earrings. She looked herself over again in the mirror. When she was satisfied with how she looked she grabbed her heels and sat on her bed putting them on.
When she was ready Bonnie grabbed her keys and her clutch purse. She walked out to her car, got in, started the ignotion, and drove towards the Valentines Ball. It seemed like there was a Ball in Mystic Falls every other week. It was very hard to keep track of all of them sometimes, though Bonnie knew Caroline would let her or Elena forget any of them. A lot of times Caroline had her and Elena help her get everything ready. They were happy to help of course because they were her friends. Bonnie slowly drove through the streets from her home. She had the radio playing and she was singing along with the radio. When she got there it took her a while to find a parking spot. There was already so many people there. When she finally parked she got out, locked her car, and then walked toward the entrance. Her heels clicked against the pavement as she walked. She walked inside and started looking around. She wanted to find Elena, Jeremy, and Caroline first. She didn't want Caroline thinking she didn't come. That would not be good. She spotted them and walked over to them smiling. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Hair, straight, shiny and down. Jewelry, long necklace and big hoop earrings. Dress, gray satin low cut but still respectable, short but not too short. Shoes, black, chunky heels with a bow on either side. She took one last look in the mirror, checking things off on her mental checklist as she finished getting ready. It had been a long time since she had been required to dress up for something such as a school dance and she wanted to make sure she looked presentable but still respectable in the chaperone type way. It was strange that the last dance she had been to was her senior prom which had been over 5 years before hand. A life time if she thought about everything that had happened since then. Yet, she could still remember everything about it.
The Prom itself wasn’t anything special. The lights, the decorations, the people (other than those she cared about)…none of them were what made the Prom special…it was the moments she could still remember.
She could still remember getting the class protector award, she could still remember how happy Willow and Oz looked as they danced together. She could still remember how Cordelia had walked in on Wesley’s arm in the dress that Xander paid for out of the goodness of her heart. She could still remember Giles and Wesley bickering but that later on she had shared a dance with her father figure, her watcher. Those moments stuck out in her brain, but it was one simple moment that made her Prom the best one she could have imagined.
She had been speaking with Giles, talking about how the students had elected her 'Class Protector. You did good work tonight, Buffy. And I got a little toy surprise. I had no idea that children en masse could be gracious. Every now and then, people surprise you. She could still remember the look that Giles had given her as he looked past her at something that caught his eye.
Every now and then. She watched as Giles took the umbrella and walked away, motioning to something at the door. She turned around, seeing Angel walking in. They walked to each other, the invisible string that drew them together tightening the closer they got to one another. I never thought you'd come. It's a big night. I didn't want to miss it. It's just tonight. IT doesn't mean that I... I know. I mean, I understand. Dance with me?
She could still feel his arms around her as they danced. They had danced to every slow song for the rest of the night. His arms tight around her, gripping her as if he didn't really want to let her go. Her arms around him, begging him with every fiber of her being other than the verbal actions for him to stay with her.
She shook her head, her thoughts clearing. She was surprised to look up and find herself at Mystic Falls High School. She had been so immersed in her thoughts that she couldn’t even remember driving to the high school but she shrugged and got out of her car. She checked in with the other staff members and walked towards the gym, smiling at the students as she passed them.
Her night would be interesting to say the least. She had left Willow’s name at the door, letting them know that a friend of hers would be chaperoning along with Angel’s name in case he decided to come (though she had a feeling she wasn’t that lucky…even though she had begged him…several times).

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Willow was putting on her new dress that she had just gotten, she was support to be meeting Buffy at the Mystic Fall Hilton Ball. Buffy had just started to be the new Counselor at the school, so Buffy was there being one of the chaperones for to help out. She had asked Willow to tag along and help, Willow didn’t mind it much she had nothing else going on that night. Tara had been L.A. trying to get something’s warp up before she could officially live there, she said she might show up. That is if she made it back in time. Willow was cool with it though it will give her time to hang with Buffy, she didn’t have a date either so this worked out for both of them. Willow slid into the new dress that she had just bought, it was a light teal that she loved. She got new heels and jewelry to go long with it. It was so cute Willow was exited to get to wear it tonight, it was just to bad Tara wasn’t going to get to see it on. Willow looked at the time and saw that it was time to go, so she walked over to the full-length mirror one last time to see how she looked. “I need a bit more blush,” Willow said touching up her make up. She grabbed her purse, headed down the stairs and out the door. Willow jumped in her car and was off to the dance. She knew Buffy had to be there all ready, so she was trying to drive kind of quick. Willow had made it to the dance, everyone in the whole town looked like they were there it was so packed. Willow had no idea how she was going to even find Buffy, there were so many people. Willow found a place and parked the car, she got out and headed inside. She made to the guy and the door and said “I think my friend might have left my name at the door, Willow Rosenberg? I’m I on there?” She hoped Buffy didn’t forget about her, she didn’t want to have problem here. The man said that she was on there and to go on in. “Ok thank you!” Willow headed into the ball and man was it packed, now to find Buffy. ------------------- ------------------- Returning to Mystic Falls was always deviant for Elijah. This was his home after all or so had been before Klaus became what he is. He had many memories here but, all that was blurred away now. He had heard of this ball and went to it on the occasion to watch Elena and keep others from doing something incredibly stupid. Elijah was the gentle one of the Originals or so kind to those who didn't threaten him. He knew how close Elena Gilbert was to her friends and it seemed they all had there part in the doppelgangers life. It seemed Elena, Jeremy, and the teacher were the only humans out of there supernatural circle.
Elijah was in a nice suit as he always was it was his usual attire since regular clothing did not fit him at all. He did cut his hair to make him more of this time. He heard of this ball and decided to pay it a visit. Reaching the front door he looked at the doorman saying he was here as what they called a chaperone and he entered the room full of students and others. Looking around he did see familiar faces and the main one was Elena Gilbert and when she appeared to be safe he just stood in place watching the humans enjoy themselves. He did see a few new faces one he had met once before and another who had the aura of a witch Elijah would certainly keep his eyes on that one.
Elijah was older then everyone here though he seemed to look in his late 20's he was over a thousand years old. He saw his favorite crowd and made his way through the crowd. Teenage parties were simply not his thing he was still slow in time but, he understood. If any interference occurred tonight Elijah would be there to stop it or tried to reason it out. He was a bit surprised the Salvatore brothers hadn't made an appearance yet the older brother seemed to always come to these first but, none of them were here. He made his way to the small group looking at Elena and her friends. "These parties seem fitting." He said folding his hands together holding his facial expression blank as usual. This night was not gonna be what he planned.
- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -Elena took a deep breath and collected herself, trying desperately to not think of the last dance she had been to. Unfortunately the memories assaulted her. She could still remember her outfit, an actual outfit from the sixties that she had found at the Salvatore Boarding House digging through their old clothing. She remembered exactly why they were going to the dance…though no one wanted her there. Bonnie was supposed to try and take on Klaus. No one knew that Klaus was in Alaric’s body, no one knew (with the exception of Bonnie, Jeremy and Damon) that using all that power would kill her, and no one knew how that night would turn out.
She shook her head, not wanting to get into her thoughts. She heard a voice from behind her and turned around, seeing her brother running over to her. “Hey Jer. You look great.” She told him, putting on a smile that was small but genuine. Before she could speak anymore she heard Caroline’s voice and turned around, grinning at her. “Everything looks amazing.” She told her, her smile this time larger than before, but still not as bright as the usual blinding smiles she gave. “Did you organize all this?” She asked, feeling guilty that she didn’t know exactly what was all going on recently s she’d been a bit to in her head with everything. She made a mental note to be a better friend to those she cared about and tried to let things settle for the night.
“You look gorgeous.” She told Caroline as she looked at the blonde’s pink dress. It went well with her skin tone and blonde hair, something that she herself could never pull off. She had never really been a pink fan being that it made her look odd with her olive skin tone and dark features. However Caroline pulled off pink better than anyone she knew and that was saying something.
Elena heard another voice behind her and laughed when Lexi literally appeared out of nowhere. “Wow, way to be inconspicuous.” She told her with a laugh, leaning in and hugging the blonde. “I like that dress better tonight than I did in the store.” She told her. Elena really couldn’t say much as Bonnie walked up and smiled at the group. “Hey Bonnie, you look gorgeous.” She told her, hugging her other best friend.
Elena’s attention drifted over to a beautiful blonde girl who looked only a few years older than herself. She hadn’t seen her before but she was intriguing to the brunette. She made a mental note to find out who she was but her attention was taken by a accented voice that she knew very well, and her eyes widened when Elijah was standing next to her. “Elijah.” She stated with a surprised look. She hadn’t expected him to show up, being that she didn’t know he had been undaggered. She really didn’t know why he was there but she knew him well enough to know that he wouldn’t hurt anyone, so it wasn’t a huge deal. “Um…not sure if you’ve met everyone but I guess I’ll do the introductions.” She stated, really only caring if Lexi knew who he was so that she would keep her mouth shut about their plans for Stefan.
“This is Caroline, Bonnie, my younger brother Jeremy, and Lexi. Everyone this is Elijah, he’s one of the originals.” She told them, giving Lexi a pointed look. “Now, I don’t know about everyone else, but I’m getting chilly. Let’s head in.” She stated before leading the group towards the door. Once inside she handed her wrap to the attendant and walked further into the room, eyes widening as she took in the sheer amount of people inside. “Wow, big crowd.” She stated, though not sure if anyone could actually hear her.
To Elena's question Caroline nodded with a grave look upon her face. "I did and let me tell you, I'm taking a break from event planning for a bit. This was hell! It seriously took all day just to decorate. Before that, I've been planning it for weeks. I'm exhausted"
. She shook her head when Elena called her gorgeous. "No, you my love, look gorgeous. Seriously. And Jeremy, you don't look so bad either" she replied with a wink. She hadn't really meant to flirt with him she was just in a really good mood at the moment. Finally, all of her hard work was over and everything looked great. The line to come inside the actual ballroom was getting longer. Luckily, they'd already entered the actual building they just hadn't gone into the dance yet. Caroline had been her all day, literally, though she definitely felt like it'd been worth it. Everyone looked great and so did the dance itself. Before they'd actually went inside, Lexi came over to greet then. Lexi and Caroline were wearing the same colored dress except Lexi's wasn't as puffy as Caroline's. Honestly, it was a really beautiful dress. "Hey Lexi, love the dress" she told her with a smile. Jeremy too was looking extremely handsome tonight as well, she couldn't help but notice that. Caroline nodded enthusiastically to Lexi in response, "lets go before we miss seeing everyone's outfits as they walk in." Caroline wasn't exactly vein but she did enjoy to watch other's choices of dresses to the ball. For the most part everyone looked beautiful tonight. She did notice a couple of girls in short, sluttier dresses but they, whatever floats their boat. Honestly it was none of her business she had just happened to notice it. Just shortly after they'd walked in she spotted Bonnie walking inside as well. Caroline smiled as she saw her beautiful dress. It was understated poofy-ness wise and yet, so incredibly beautiful. The color seemed to really fit her, as did the jewelry. "Bonnie! I'm so glad you came, you look great." She sounded a bit overly enthusiastic once again but she just couldn't help it. Caroline was a party planner at heart and she loved balls. When ever she planned and attended one, she tended to get a bit overly excited. Another older man approached them, one she hadn't seen before. She nodded to him as a way of greeting. Elena obviously knew him and then began introducing all of them to her. An original? Like, an original like one of Klaus' family members? What the hell? Since when they did they socialize with originals? Caroline sent a small waive to Elijah but she didn't really say anything. Obviously she'd never met him before and she wasn't really keen on hanging out with an original. Though Elena probably wouldn't have been friendly to him if he was on the same side as Klaus. Still, she had no desire to get too friendly with him right now until she knew more about him. [/blockquote][/blockquote] Everyone 535 Click! ---------------------- ---------------------- Jeremy ran over meeting up with his sister, she had looked really nice and all ready to go to the dance. “Sorry it took me so long to get here, you look really nice to Elena. You seem all ready to go and have some fun at the dance, I just hope there isn’t any drama tonight from anyone you know. It be nice to have a normal night were nothing goes wrong for once.” Said Jeremy. It was true though, in the town of mystic falls it was very rare that something bad didn’t happen that day.
Not long after that Caroline had joined them as well along with Lexi, they looked just as beautiful as Elena did. “Thank Caroline you look great to.” Jeremy then looked to Lexi with a smile and said “Yeah yeah I think we are all ready to go in, we are just waiting to see if we meet up with anyone else.” But then not long after that the one person Jeremy really had hoped to see tonight had shown up, and she looked more beautiful then ever. It was Bonnie, she was in a green dress that looked amazing on her, Jeremy couldn’t help not to help look at her. “Hey Bonnie you look great.” Jeremy said hugging her tightly. He then put out his arm for her to grab onto. “shall we go in my lady.” Jeremy asked her.
Right before they were about to go in the met up with someone else, Jeremy wasn’t really to trilled with who it was. It was Elijah one of the original vampires that have had to work with, Jeremy didn’t trust him 100 percent. But there have been times he has helped them in the past, So Jeremy had to try and be nice for Elena “Hey Elijah how are you, its nice to meet you.” Said Jeremy. Then still holding on to Bonnie they all made there way into the dance, it was a full house this place was packed. “Wow look at this place, good luck even finding room to dance guys.”
- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -Lexi was barely listening to the conversations around her. No, instead she was watching another blonde girl walk inside, apparently being one of the chaperones. She wasn’t sure what it was about this girl but something about it reeked of power. It wasn’t something that made her nervous, though she felt as if she should be, but she wasn’t. It was a weird feeling and one that she wasn’t all together comfortable with. She made a mental note to try and get to the bottom of that before the night was over. She didn’t like not knowing things. She wasn’t sure if it was her natural curiosity or the fact that with everything up in arms at the moment that she just felt safer and better with everything if she knew what the hell was going on.
Her concentration was broken when she felt an extremely powerful being step up on the other side of Elena. She saw the brunette’s eyes widen and for a moment thought she would have to intervene, but relaxed when Elena introduced him as Elijah. She had heard all about Elijah and while she didn’t trust him anymore than any of the others, she did know that he wasn’t one to make spectacles. At least this wasn’t Klaus as she had a feeling she wouldn’t be able to hold herself back when she met him. She knew that was a dumb thing to even think because no matter how strong she was, Klaus was 1000 times stronger than she was and she would lose…quickly…but the fact still remained that it was Klaus’ fault that her best friend had gone off the edge that Lexi had spent years keeping him away from.
Either way Elijah still worried her, but she knew that Elena didn’t fear him nearly as much as the others so she relaxed minutely and nodded her head to him. “Hello Elijah. It’s nice to meet you.” She stated with a friendly smile.
She followed the group inside, keeping her eyes peeled for anyone who looked suspicious. She knew that Stefan and Damon both would most likely show up this evening, if for no other reason than to argue with each other. No, that wasn’t all together true. Stefan was still under Klaus’ compulsion she he would most likely show up to ‘protect Elena’…but also to hurt her as he had no conscious…no soul…no humanity at the moment…and Damon would be there to ‘protect Elena’ but to also try and get in her pants. After speaking with Elena she had spoken with Elena’s newest guardian, Alaric and had been given the run down on the way that Damon wouldn’t leave the young brunette alone. Yeah, she and Damon were going to have to have a long chat once things got settled down. Then again, she and Elena were going to need to talk about it as well. She knew that the young girl was clinging on to Damon as a way to stay safe but she had a feeling she was also trying to replace Stefan, something that would bring her nothing but pain if she kept it up.
Lexi smiled at Bonnie and Jeremy as they walked past her. She could tell the two honestly cared for each other and she thought it was cute. Elena on the other hand looked miserable and she honestly wondered why she even bothered coming. Caroline was sort of in the middle, liking being at dances but bummed she didn’t seem to have a date. She didn’t really know Caroline that well so she couldn’t definitely say that that was what she was thinking, but either way. “I’m going to go mingle with the chaperones, I’ll be back.” She stated before walking over to a group of teachers and smiling at them, making conversation about some of the students around.
------------------- ------------------- Elijah gathered in all the faces arriving at this event and yet he was here simply for Elena's safety since apparently none of the Salvatore brothers were here. He knew Klaus might make an appearance he usually did in these situations and Elijah was always cautious around his brother no matter his vulgar promises Elijah had his family. He looked at the humans gathering to be let inside and he looked at Elena's friends and in a polite smile he gave to her group of friends. It seemed the only human ones in Elena's group were her and this Jeremy. Elijah wasn't much of a party man he had forgotten what it was like to feel human but, remembered how his human life was.
"I am simply here because of your safety Elena, Klaus is a hybrid now and only I can tolerate his strength." He said then looked at Elena and then at her friends examining them carefully. One by one they came and told there hello's. Elijah entered after them of course he would what they chaperoned for the time being and if his brother did arrive actions would be taken lightly through Elijah's way not through anyone else's. When Elena's brother spoke to him he looked at him with a normal face. Elijah wasn't much of a talker either he only shared what was needed. He saw the inside and stood near Elena and her friends. He did see a familiar face the one known as a Slayer which he was still a bit intrigued about.
"Yes, Alexia Branson the one who drove Stefan Salvatore out of his hunger ways. I find your choices quite amusing but, it appears your late Klaus has him now." He said looking at Lexi showing no emotion or any expression what so ever. Elijah knew quite a lot for not being around he got his information from others. He was a bit surprised that none of the Salvatore brothers were here especially Damon given he was in love with Elena but couldn't have her. He was still getting to know these times which was quite annoying. This night was going to be a long one and Elijah was well prepared.
Elijah did grab himself a drink to hold off his cravings though he hardly took human life he did prefer blood bags now these days. He did see the blonde slayer and looking at Elena and her group he slowly drifted away until he reached the one named Buffy. "Well isn't this a surprise seeing you here Ms. Summers." He said taking a sip of his drink as he also looked at her friend as he gave her a smile only a little one though. He met her not to long ago and still seemed intrigued of her strength.
Anyone who had lived in Mystic Falls for the shortest amount of time knew that there was a ridiculous amount of dances that were held, whether by the school or some other organization. This seemed like it was just another one. And having grown up in the town and seen all of the older girls attend and having, well, gorgeous dresses, it was no surprise to her. Her old school hadn't had nearly as many, which yeah, wasn't surprising, considering that this place practically had one every other week. Not that she minded that much, because well, she was a teenage girl. That should have been a simple enough answer, really. It wasn't like she really needed another excuse to spend some ridiculous amount of time doing her hair and make-up, although considering the time it had taken her to get it all so pin straight, it definitely hadn't been a wasted effort.
Although, the main reason that she was really fine with going was the fact that it didn't feel like her head had been smashed into a brick wall in the past day or so. There was no lingering pain or dizziness from any that she had had recently, as well, which made it a double bonus, really. Whenever she didn't have pain, well, she was going to be up for about anything. That those opportunities had been getting slimmer was an annoying bit considering something like this shouldn't have been happening in the first place. She would deal with it though, after all, it wasn't like she had a choice or a say in the matter. They came and she dealt with it in silent pain, and it was no different than anything that she had been doing for the past months. When they didn't want to come, well, she'd enjoy herself.
So she was here. It was her first one, technically, considering that she'd moved here just a bit after winter break had ended. She probably should have been a bit more excited about it than she was, but... well, they were generally less fun without a hot guy. That was just a fact of nature. But she could entertain herself without a doubt, of course, she had more than enough confidence in herself. Besides, in a small town, when you were the new girl getting some attention was more than easy when you wanted it. And even if she was old and new, well, she hadn't really had boobs when she left, so that definitely meant it was easy to be considered new again. That kind of male logic, well, it could be easy to appreciate sometimes.
Sarah fussed for a moment lightly over the skirt of the dress that she'd chosen, wanting to make sure that it didn't get dirty or stepped on. Honestly, she hadn't worn heels in forever and they put her at an almost normal height, but when practically every other female in a mile radius did the same, it didn't make that much of a difference. She blended in with the crowd to the point that she could hide in it very easily if she wanted to, and considering that it was pretty crowded, that didn't seem like it would be a hard thing. She bit down slightly on her lower lip, her eyes flickering around and trying to recognize faces again. Hell, it really had been awhile.
------------------------------When Bonnie first arrived to the dance the first person she noticed was, none of her best friends, but in fact Jeremy Gilbert. She thought he looked so handsome in his tux. Of course seconds after she saw him, and her heart started beating rapidly she noticed Elena, Caroline, and a blonde she didn't really know. Bonnie smiled at Elena as she complimented her dress. Thank you Elena. Your dress looks amazing she said and hugged her best friend. Bonnie knew she hadn't been the best best friend ever. She needed to do a better job. That she was certain of. She wanted to and wanted Elena to be able to tell her everything. Bonnie looked over to the blond she didn't know and said hey I'm Bonnie. Bonnie Bennett. She smiled trying to be friendly. She wanted to have a good time. I like your dress she said. Soon her attention went to Caroline. She had done an amazing job. Caroline always did. It was an amazing and scary talent of hers. The girl could plan a party no matter what was going on, which was a good thing. They all needed to be normal teenagers every now and again. She smiled at her other best friend and said hey Caroline. Love your dress. It looks gorgeous and so do you. Soon though Boonie's attention went back to the handsome Jeremy Grayson Gilbert. A year ago if you had ask her what she thought about Jeremy she would have said he is okay. He is Elena's little brother. She had gotten to know him though, and spent time with him. She smiled at him but blushed when he complimented her. Why thank you Jeremy. You look amazing as well she said. She smiled when he held his arm out for her. She took it and nodded Yeah lets go in. Soon though a handsome man apperaed. She remembered him all too well. Elijah she said softly taking a step closer to Jeremy ready to blast the original with her magic if need be. She headed inside with Jeremy when he went in. Bonnie didn't care that Elijah had tried to help before he betrayed them. That didn't make him good in her book. She looked at Caroline and said this looks amazing Caroline. Really. She looked at Jeremy smiling. How about a dance Jeremy. Please she asked him and then she added just one is all I want. No more if you don't want to I promise. She looked at Elena and said you don't mind me stealing your brother for a minute do you.[/blockquote] --------------- Word Count:656 Tag:Everyone Outfit:OMG!
