Castiel, Castiel, Castiel, Castiel, Castiel, Castiel! Could he ever get a break? Over the past few days that is all Castiel has herd. Dead calling him name, asking for him, needing to speak with him. But Castiel was busy fighting a war up in heaven. He could not waste his time on earth talking to Dean. He was a big boy he could figure things out on his own. Castiel did not need to be there to hold his hand. But still the constant nagging from Dean was starting to drive Castiel a little crazy. Really how many times can you hear your name? How would Dean like it, if Castiel started calling Dean's name day after day, at the most inconvenient times. No really the war on heaven was hard enough without the consent distraction. So the next free second Castiel found he'd go visit Dean, clear things up.
Of course that free minute was now. So after making sure that his defenses were up and in place, he let himself poof down to earth. Really that's just how it happens. Castiel only had to think of where to go, and he'd be there before he could finish the thought. It was the fastest and most convenient way to travel, though Dean seems to differ. Apparently poofing in and out of places with a human, messes up their ability to poop. Well at least that's what Dean has told Cas a few times over. Though this was the only real way to travel between heaven and the world everyone knows. So that's what he did.
Only a second later did Castiel find himself standing inside a small hotel room. There Dean lay asleep on one bed, Sam on the other. Castiel paid no attention to Sam, he had not been the one to call. "Dean?" Castiel questioned as he got closer to the bed, so close in fact, he would be unable to move an inch forward, the bed blocking his advance. So Castiel did what he thought was appropriate, he leaned as far over as he could, his head titled to the side slightly. "Dean." He asked again, his face far to close for comfort. But Castiel saw no problem in this. Castiel did not really know the full meaning of personal space. Sure Dean has said something about it a few times. but it has yet to sink in.
Castiel stood back upright, talking a few steps from the bed. Well that did not seem to work. So he figured he'd try Sam. If he woke up Sam maybe he'd know why Dean kept calling him. The brothers talked fair too much. Though Castiel was not too sure why anyone would want to talk to the boy with the demon blood was beyond Castiel knowledge. But he figured he could understands Dean inherit need for Sam. They were brothers with a greater destiny then ether one will know. So Castiel did the very same thing to the sleep Sam. He leaded over getting all up in Sam's face, and spoke his name twice. He did not raise his voice, in fact it was almost a whisper. Whenever someone would call Castiel's name he'd hear it. So why these two boy's did not wake up to his calling, was quite strange. If Castiel did not know any better he might of thought the boys dead. But he herd their heart beating, saw their chest rise and fall. They were asleep. Such a human thing to do.
With his plan out the window, Castiel went back to Dean's bed. This time, he went down to his knee's, so he was face level with the sleeping Dean. Sitting on his feet, Castiel waiting, watching Dean's every movement. Well eye movement was more like it. By the speed in which Dean's eye's moved behind hi's lids let Castiel know what stage of sleep Dean was in. It seemed to Castiel that Dean was waking up. Though he could not be sure. Castiel was never sure of such things. He just knew that he was needed in heaven. He should not be here babysitting the two boys. Or so that's what his brothers and sisters for that matter, tell him. He was a glorified babysitter. But hey it was better then sitting on ones holy ass all day looking down and watching the play. At least Castiel had a part, however big he'd soon find out. But a part was a part.

- - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - Dean looked over at the one he loved more then anything, Lisa the girl he had dreamed of spending his whole life with. Which for Dean was scary, he wasn’t much for making a big commitment in a relationship with anyone. But there was just something about this girl that drove Dean wild, she always had since the day he met her. Dean held Lisa’s hand tightly as they rocked back in forth in the porch swing, it was one of Lisa’s favorite pass times with Dean. They did it almost every night after they cleaned up dinner, just them watching the night turn to day. It really was a lot better then killing Demons everyday of Dean’s life, along with smelling like blood and sulfur It really wasn’t the ideal job for anyone really.
Then as they were sitting there, Dean looked over at Lisa and told her how much he loved her and that this was the life for him. Lisa told Dean back how much she loved him and that she didn’t want to spend a life with anyone else. This was a dream for Dean this was it, this was the life he wanted he could be more happy then in this moment right here and now. Then as they sat there looking deep into each others eyes, Dean leaned in to give her a kiss. It was the best kiss Dean had ever had with anyone, he never wanted it too end. The when they let up Lisa looked at Dean saying she wanted to tell him something “I love…” Then before she could finish Dean heard something calling off in the distance.
Before Dean knew it he was being woken up in Sam and his motel room, and who was it that was before Dean very eyes. Well it was there very own rogue Angel they have not seen in forever, someone that was suppose to be there for Sam and Dean but decided to run off and be heaven bitch as always. What else was new really it seemed whenever Dean needed Cass he was never around. Dean really has needed Castile in his life right now, with everything going on with Sam and now with losing Lisa. Life really had not been kind to Dean at all, but what that was how Dean’s life went.
Dean got up from the bed really fast as Castiel had sacred the living hell out of him, he looked at him in shock wondering were the hell he had been? “Cass what the hell!” Said Dean yelling at Castiel. Dean then looked back to see if he had woken Sam, so far he had not. Dean realized he might want to be more quite, so he answer Castile this time with a softer tone in his voice. “Cass were have you been man? I mean I’m happy to see you but I was starting to think I was never going to see you again. You don’t call, you don’t write, to the point Cass were you never going to check on me and Sam?” Dean asked the Angel

Castiel waited. He really should go soon. He could hear heaven calling him back up to them. He could hear every word his siblings spoke. He knew he was needed. But well he was needed down here too. As much as he hated to admit it, Dean and Sam needed him. He was no longer just some angel, but a babysitter. Which was fine, he was honored that god had chosen him for such a task. Though the task was daunting, hard, and annoying at times. He would take it, he would do the best he could. He would be whatever god wanted him to be. Free will was no more then a series of chance, chance in which god picked for a person, or angel in his case. Castiel knew his place, and he was happy where he was. Stressed, yes be he figured it was all a test. God was testing him, and Castiel would not fail. His orders, help Dean, Sam by default too. But to help Dean. Castiel would be a good little son and do as he was told. Well sort of.
Before Castile could finish his current thoughts, Dean began to awaken. Dean moved more, as typical humans do when they begin to awaken. Castiel did nothing, just stood sill watching, waiting, far to close for any kind of comfort. Castile let his head tilt to the side slightly as Dean quite literally jumped from his bed, landing on his feet opposite Castile. Cas took this moment to stand back on his own two feet. "Why have you called me here? Castiel asked of course getting right down to business. Castiel was still unaware of most human interactions, such as good morning, or how did you sleep. Castiel just did not see the point in wasting such time. He had places to go and people to see. He could not waste any time talking abut sleep, which Castiel does not do. It would be rather pointless really. So seeing as all manners were out the door, that left being blunt and kind of rude. Welcome to Castiel.
"There's a war going on in heaven Dean." Castiel pointed out once again. "My services are needed elsewhere." He explained. Stupid humans. He loved Dean sure, well okay so love was not an emotion Castile really knew. Emotions were human, so Castiel did not really...feel. But yes he liked Dean very much, but he could not always be there for him. "I am sorry for 'not writing'" Castiel added. "But your postal system does not reach heaven." He explained once more, thinking Dean did not know such things. Stupid funny humans and their inferior knowledge. Castiel was just trying to inform Dean , that human inventions don't work in heaven...really they don'. He'd try to write, or call, but the service in heaven is dreadful. His phone wont even turn on up there. Stupid energy or something. Castiel did not understand human invention, though they did come in handy. "I'm here now." Castile spoke, his voice just as deep and ominous as always. He needed to make sure the world was not about to blow up. Knowing Dean, every little glitch could lead to a massive explosions. Castiel just needed to make sure that did not happen. Yet he needed to find his way back to heaven. The war would continue with out without him.

- - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - Dean was still in shock that Castiel was before him, were had he even been Dean had been calling him for days but as always no answer. It seems everything else was always more important then Dean, but it was ok Dean was use to always having to deal with things on his own. Whenever Sam left for college and Dean’s dad would go off on jobs on his own, it kind of made Dean get use to being on his own for awhile. It wasn’t something Dean like to do but he had no choice in the matter really, he just had to deal as always.
Then the rogue Angel had asked Dean why he had called him there, Dean looked at Castiel with a look like he was stupid. “Why did I call you here, why you think Cass to help with Sam. Did you like go up to heaven and lose all your memory on what has been going on down here in the last few months, you were support to help find away to get Sam’s soul back. You don’t remember any of that, my question is do know who I am.” Said Dean. Dean knew he was being a big smart ass right now, but he really didn’t care. He has needed Cass for some time now and he has been no were to be found. For all Dean knew he could have been Dead. “ You know Cass I don’t mean to be a dick, but you know Man I have not seen you in so long I was starting to worry something had happen t you. You are like a brother to me man, I wouldn’t want that.”
Dean knew his problems weren’t the only thing Castiel had to worry about, Dean understood there was a lot going on up stairs as well. Its just hard when all Dean really has to turn to is Castiel, With Lisa pretty much is done with him and with Sam not being Sam anymore Dean really didn’t have anyone to turn to. “look Cass I’m sorry I know you are busy man, its just what I’m I going to do about Sam he still is acting like a maniac. I just want my brother back, I mean its almost like he is still Dead he isn’t him anymore at all. He doesn’t eat, he doesn’t sleep, and he don’t give a shit about anyone or anything. I just don’t know what to do man, can you or are you going to help me?" Asked Dean. Dean then sat down on the bed slowly feeling like he just wants to give up, he really didn’t know what to do anymore really. He was losing all hope on what to do anymore.

"Dean." Castile said not sure where all this was coming from. Did the war in heaven mean nothing to dean? Was his brothers soul more important then the world itself? Castile always knew that Dean was selfish, but he never realized just how selfish Dean really was. At least not until now. "The war is still going on." Castiel pointed out yet again. He needed to give Dean, a what do you call it... hearing aid? Yeah one of house things to help people hear better. Dean needed to open his ear's and listen. How many times could Castiel say the same things. There were not enough words in the English language to describe what was going on. Sure he'd call it a war, but it was much much bigger then that.
"If I lose this war in heave.... we all lose." Castiel tried again, but just to make sure Dean herd him, he reiterated what he just said. "If Raphael wins this war the world end and your bother will no longer exist." Castiel stated. Now which problem looked like a bigger deal? Finding the soul of one man, or keeping the world alive. If Castiel would stop fighting for a moment, to look for Sam's soul, Raphael will win. He'd take over, in that time The world would pretty much be destroyed, and soul or not, Sam would die with the rest of the world. So no, Castiel did not have the time to look for a soul, nor did he care to try and help. He would if he could, but again bigger things were out there, why Dean could not see that, was beyond Castiel but it was making him a little angry. Dean was a big boy, he could handle himself. Why did he need to call on Castiel for such problems.
If there had not been a war, Castiel would have been all to happy to help. He would to anything in his power to help the boys. But again he was needed for a bigger cause. Dean needed to understand that his brothers soul was at the bottom of Castiel's list, and not by choice. No it was at the bottom, because Sam having a soul(or not having one for that matter) would hardly effect the world. Really how many more times could Castiel say this to Dean. Castiel was really trying to protect Dean. So yeah Castile was trying to keep this talk of the war to a minimum. If Dean only knew the truth, how bad this war was, Dean would freak out, and that would only keep Castile down here longer. So the less Dean knew about the war the better. But apparently Castiel would have to revel a little more to get Dean to understand that his brothers soul was not important at this very moment. He was not saying it's not important, for it's very important, for Dean at least, but right now it can not be dealt with.
"Yes I understand Dean." Castile said, though he was not so sure how to respond. Dean was getting at an emotion Castiel did not care for. Well any emotion Castiel did not care for. So by calling him a brother, yes that was nice, touch, whatever, But Castiel did not want to get into that conversation right now. Again, a war was going on, he was needed. No time to let his guard down, not now. He could be called back any second, and if he was, he'd have to leave without so much as a see ya later. Sorry Dean, but he's gonna have to deal with his problems like a big boy for how ever long this war lasts. God only knows how long... Okay okay, so he'd not about to bring God into this but still... if God only... Ah! Castiel shook the thought. His father was a busy man.
"Sam is sleeping right now..." Castiel pointed out, taking a second to look over and make sure Sam really was alseep. Maybe Castiel was lucky this time around to catch Sam while he was sleeping but... He looked to be asleep alright. But that was besides the point. Dean was upset, and Castile needed to do what he could to make it right.... at least he had to try. He was here, so he needed to do what he could before he got a call. "I cannot help you right now." Castile pointed out. The war was all he had time for. "When this war is over I will help you." Castiel added. He would help in anyway he could...when or if the war ended. "But there is nothing I can do for you now." He added to make sure Dean understood. Castiel would be of no help right now. None. There was no one to ask, everyone had picked sides and all were fighting. Castiel could not just stop the war, ask everyone to work together to find Sam's soul, then go back to fighting. It just did not work that way. So Dean would have to stick it out and wait. Or he'd have to find Sam's soul on his own. There was not much more Castiel could say.
((Guess I messed that one up with the sleeping bit. But I figured this would be a different thread. Anyway... Sam is going to be taking a cat nap or something..... or maybe he just has his eyes closed and he is totally awake, and just pretending to be asleep..or something... lol))

- - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - Dean knew that he sounded like he didn’t care, but the truth was he really didn’t. His brother meant more to him then anything in the whole world, even more then heaven. Truth was why should Dean really care about a place that does nothing but want to start a war, that doesn’t sound like Heaven it sounds more like a nicer hell. It seems like the angels have done nothing but cause hell for Dean and Sam, what have they really done to make Sam and Dean’s life any better, or the would for that matter.
Dean understood that Castiel was just trying to keep the world safe, but at the same time he didn’t know why. It seemed like most of the dumb douche bag angels were following Raphael, which Dean didn’t understand why anyone would want to follow in his foot steps. “Look Cass I know there is a war going on up there and don’t worry we wont let that teenage mutant turtle of an Angel win. You have got this my friend you are going to kick this guys ass right into next week! How do I know you will, because I’m going to be right there when you do it. I’m sorry Cass I know you are busy I just dot know what to do about Sam. You are the only one I ever can turn too” Said Dean.
Dean looked over at Sam as he slept sad that there really wasn’t anything he could do for him, Dean wanted more then anything to have his old Sammy back. The brother that he grew up to know and love, the brother that Dean once gave his life for, and the brother who saved Dean’s. Maybe that’s part of why Dean wanted to get Sam’s soul back so bad, he feels a bit responsible for Sam going to hell. If Dean had not shown up there Sam would not have had to stop Lucifer from beating Dean up and jumping into hell. But then again that was Dean always feeling like things were his fault, the truth was they really weren’t.
Dean watched as Castiel checked to see if Sam was sleeping, which did make Dean wonder if they guy really didn’t sleep why was he even sleeping now? Was he faking it? And if so why, Dean didn’t get Sam these days he really was bizarre with no soul. But from what Castiel said it looked as though he was out of it. Castiel then went on telling Dean he couldn’t help him right now and that he was to busy. This made Dean very upset, he couldn’t wait any longer he wanted his brother back and now. Dean then looked at Castiel with his arms crossed and said “Ok Cass well if you are too busy then what you suggest that I do? because I cant wait to get my brother back. I mean even though this isn’t really fair, I mean the whole reason Sammy went to hell was so he could help save us the world. And now he needs your help and you are too busy for him, tell me how you think this seems fair?”

"You have Bobby." Castile pointed out. Yes, there was always Bobby... That man well that man was something different, but he was the closest thing Dean had to a father, and Castile tried his best to look out for Bobby. But that was pretty hard. The man never pray a day in his life. But that was besides the point really. How Dean expected to be by his side when 'he wins the war in heaven', Castile did not know. Not like Castile would bring Dean with him up to heave, so how he'd get there. Well of course he could die, but that's a whole new story, a new problem, Castile did not have time to think about. But still. How did Dean expect to be by Castiels side. If he so much as tired to fight, the angels on the other side would snap a finger and he'd be dead. So no, Dean had to stay on earth, where he was better protected. Well sort of. He was safer here then in heaven at least. But it was still good to know, someone was rooting for his team.
Castile just shrugged off the Sam thing. If anything he could make Sam sleep. If he had been awake, he was for sure sleeping now. Ah... the power of an angel. It sure did come in handy. Anyway if Dean's words were true and Sam really did not sleep, then a few hours, or minutes of sleep would do him some good. That was the best Castile could do, let the poor boy sleep. Poor soul-less boy. What a shame really. Shame shame. Ah well, destiny was at play here. Not that Castile knew this was going to happen, but it was all part of some master plan. Everything was. Castile knew that now, though it gave him no comfort to rebel as he did. But what's done is done.
"Some things are bigger then your brother Dean." Castile repeated. Man. He kept saying the same thing over and over, he might as well not answer. He really did not have time for this pointless back and forth. "Go to Bobby. That is my only advice for you." Castiel said. What more could he say? Nothing he said Dean was listening to. So why waste his time trying to write it out for him. Sam not having a soul was not the end of the world, it could wait. The war in heaven was, potentially, the end of the world. As for it being fair. Dean should know by now, the world is never fair. Ever. Never ever ever fair. How is it fair that Dean is taking up all of Castiel's attention when he is needed so very badly in heaven for the war. How is that fair. If Dean wanted to bring out the fair card, Castiel was sure he'd win this round. Really. Dean should not bring such things up. He should accept that the world is the way it is, and that Castiel is needed in other parts of the universe. Dean and Sam cannot be at the top of his list, sometimes they are going to have to wait their turn. This is one of those times. Really. Dean was acting like a spoiled little kid. Castile would not be his father. That was not Castiel's job. Dean was going to have to be on his own for this one. Anyway, Dean knew plenty of hunters who can help. Not that Castile would condone talking to any daemons, but Sam was pretty buddy buddy with them... why not talk to one of those guys? It would at least be more help then Castile could give.

- - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - The truth was Dean didn’t really have Bobby at all, yes he was there for Dean but lately had been to busy away on jobs helping Rufus. Dean didn’t know why but He has been distance every since Sam went to hell and Dean quit hunting, he has done nothing but work with Rufus. It seems these days everyone is getting help but Dean, it was really staring to get very annoying. Bobby didn’t exactly know the whole story ether, he knew Sam was back but he didn’t know his soul was gone. Dean just felt there be no point in worrying him with it, what could Bobby really do anyway from Sam. “Cass I really don’t have Bobby here for me on this, he has been busy away helping Rufus. Plus how could he really help me with Sam, there not really anything in the books on getting someone there soul back you know” Said Dean
Dean still though it was strange that is brother was asleep, it wasn’t something he really did anymore. Dean really didn’t like the though of him listing to them talk at all, it made Dean worry more about what Sam might do. Because deep down Dean feels like Sam does not want his soul back, so if him and Castiel talk about any hope of getting it back Sam will find way to stop that. Sam was probably loving the fact that Castiel would not help them, hell its what he wants. Right now Dean bets he want to get up and hug Cass for not helping Dean, that is if he felt emotion of any kind. Dean then walked over to Sam’s bed side to see if he was faking, and when he did Dean had found empty liquor bottle laying on the ground. “well this could be why Sam is out, he got wasted last night. And the worst part is he did it with out me.” Said Dean.
Dean was not happy at all, he knew that if Castiel needed Sam and Dean for something he would be helping them. But because the apocalypse doesn’t need Sam and Dean Winchester anymore he don’t help. “I’m not dumb Cass I know things are more important then Sam and me, but let me just ask you this. Does it at lest bother you that you cant help me with Sam, I mean if you are my friend like you saw you are you would at lest worry for me.” Asked Dean waiting to see what he would say. Dean really worried to see what Castiel would say, but he hoped he would tell him he still cared. Castiel is like a brother too Dean and he always will be.

And in Deans response lies his answer. Well Bobby is busy... yet Dean picks Castiel to bitch to. Any normal day, Castile would not mind listing to Dean bitch, Cas finds it rather fascinating. But again, he's a busy man. He can't just sit around doing nothing. If Dean wanted to say goodbye to the world he knows and loves, then sure Castiel will give up the fight in heaven, and sit around with Dean watching the world die a slow and painful death. Okay so Castiel would never do that, he loved people too much, but still. If that's what Dean wanted, then why not do it? "There lies your answer." Castile responded directly after he first spoke. People were very busy, the war was not only effecting things in Heaven. It carried over down here. Bobby had the right idea to fight. Dean was irrational in his thinking, in thinking that his brothers soul was more important then the world. Castiel had no idea how to open Dean's eyes, show him the whole story with out Dean being clouded by his devotion to his family. That would be totally impossible. Anyway, how did Dean expect Castiel to help? There were no books, no nothing on getting a boys soul back. So Castile would have to travel down to hell and talk to demons down there. That was the only real way. Castile did not have the time for that, when Dean could just do it. Sure Dean was human and could easily get sucked into a trap, but still. Castiel's job was too important.
"If I were not in this war, I would have helped when you first asked for it." Castiel answered. What more could he say. Sure Dean was not dumb, but he was blinded by the love for his brother, that made him dumb. That made him ignorant, that made him irrational. But Castile could see past that. Dean was just scared he'd lose his little brother again. Castile could understand that, but still one life for the world. Castiel had to look at the bigger picture. It was his job to do so. Castile could not be so quick to act. He was a thinking, a planner. So it was irritating that things were not quite going his way. Anyway Castile did not see what was so bad about Sam not having a soul. He has been on a very dangerous path for a while now, it was about time he suffer a little. Sam needed to understand what he had done was wrong, sure jumping into the pit made Castiel respect the boy a little more, but still. Demon blood, why would anyone jump at a chance to try some, it just sounded bad. But thats what made him human, he made mistakes. Huge ones, but he at least tried to correct them. Anyway not having a soul for a while could not be so bad. Sure it'll suck for Dean, but for Sam, he seemed...happy? If he even had the ability to feel. Castile really did not know. But he did know after what Sam had been through in the pit, to bring his soul back, intact would be harder then anything he'd ever do. Castile was not about to jump in there with Michael and Lucifer and fight for the ripped parts of Sams soul. It just can't be done. Castiel does not have the guts to go in there. By doing so he could very well set the two brothers free. Why can't Dean see that.

- - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - Dean was just so stressed on what to do for Sam, he was lost he didn’t have any solutions with out Castiel’s help. Dean was trying to bug Cass He just wanted his brother back was that really so much to ask. It just seems that everyone he ever knows or cared for just leaves him or dies He has lost his Mom, Dad, Jo, Ellen, Ash, Lisa, Ben, and now Sam. And its not even the first time Dean has had to lose Sam, the first time was when he was killed by a soldier named Jake Talley. Dean will never forget that day it still hunts Dean in his nightmares, watching that knife go threw Sam, having to watch him hit the floor. Dean will never regret what he had to go threw getting Sam back, it was tough but it was worth saving Sam. Dean loves his little brother so much, and he is all Dean has. Dean hates living with out him.
Sam and Dean have done so much in keeping the world safe its just not fair really, when can they ever just both be alive and living normal life. Again Dean is not asking for lot, but it seems like to Castiel it is. But Dean gets that he is busy after all he is an Angel not exactly an easy job, its not a job Dean would wanted that’s for damn sure. Dean knew he was just going to have to wait with Sam, Dean did still have some hope for Jess she was still looking after all, which made Dean feel a little better. “Well Cass I understand that you are busy and you have to go, but please if you hear any news in helping Sam would please find away to get that info to me. It really would help man and I know you still care about Sam after all.” Said Dean.
Then Dean walked over to the motel fridge and got out two beer, one for him and one for Cass. he then walked back over to Castiel and attempted to hand him a beer, he was trying to have bit of fun before he left like the good old time. “Come on man just one for the road it wont kill you, plus I don’t know when the next time I see you will be. You know were always good at drinking these things down real fast I don’t think it will take you very long.” Said Dean with a smile. Dean then opened up his beer and started to drink it, he didn’t know if Castiel would drink his or not but Dean still wanted to show his old Angel friend that he still cared. Castiel let out a small sigh. How many more times would he have to repeat himself. “I promise you I will pass along any information I have.” Castiel said, at least happy that Dean was dropping the subject. As for caring for Sam, well Castiel figured he cared for Sam…. Like he cared for any human. Well maybe even a little more than that, simply because of his direct connection to Dean. Dean just happen to hold a very special in Castiels heart…. If he even had one. Did he? Well his vessel Jimmy had once, but did Castiel have on in his true forum. He would not call it a heart, more a light, but that’s where Dean would be held. Castiel knew one thing, he’d never forget Dean. Even after this was all over and Sam and Dean died a natural death…. Well as natural as a hunters death could be, Castile would surly miss them. Shoot he might even stop by and visit them from time to time, if permitted. Well before he could really think to much on that, he’d have to make sure Sam and Dean lived through this war. Shoot he had to make sure everyone lived through this war. Yeah that would be a smart idea. As for death, that would surly come, maybe not for him…. Well everything did have an end…right?
“Dean” Castile said looking at the beer that was being pushed into his hands. “I don’t have the time to indulge in such human luxuries.” Castile said tilting his head to the side for a moment. “I will come and see you the next time I have a second.” Castile said reaching his hand in his pocket and pulling out his cell phone. “Keep your cell phone on. I’ll have to call you to find your location. “Castile said flipping the phone around in his hand. “I still don’t understand these things.” Castile said slipping it back into his pocket. “Do you want me to help you to sleep before I go?” Castile asked holding up two fingers, and getting ready to put Dean to sleep real quickly. If Dean denied his offer he would gladly leave and go back to heaven. In fact he was ready to put Dean to sleep and leave directly after, he did not have any time to sit around. Well he’d wait for his answer before he did anything.

- - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - Dean knew that Castiel probably was too busy, but Dean couldn’t help but be a pal and offer it to him. Dean misses those times they had together were they would just get drunk and hang, those were the good old days that Dean will miss. “Ok Cass I understand that you are busy and that you need to get back. Just try and keep in touch ok man, and let me know if you find out about anything on Sam. Cass if you need my help with anything don’t be afraid to come to me and ask, you know that I will be there to help take down any sun of a bitch you need.” Said Dean with a smile.
Castiel was Dean’s pal and he would always be there when he needed him, Dean promised him that always. What could Dean say when they were together they were one hell of a fighting team, and even Castiel knew that. Dean took out his cell phone with Castiel and flipped it open, looking to see if he had service. “Ok Cass I will make sure to keep my phone close and will be waiting to hear from you, and don’t feel bad man half the time I don’t get these things ether? You think this is bad try to get twitter or facebook, I still don’t get those things.” Said Dean
Castiel then asked Dean if he needed any help going to sleep, the truth was yes he did but Dean really didn’t want any Angel mojo use on him. It never works out well when it is used on him, the last time Dean didn’t poop right for a week. So its not really something he want to happened to him again. “No Cass I will be fine getting to sleep, I have my nightly and sometimes daily meds right here to help me. So thanks but no thanks man I think I will be ok.” Said Dean taking a big drink finishing off his beer.
Dean then sat down on his motel bed and opened up another beer, he kicked it back taking another big drink. There was just something about drinking that made Dean feel better. It was really the only thing that could make his problems go way. He then looked up at Cass as he was sitting there and said. “So I guess you are taking off then man?” Dean couldn’t lie he really didn’t want Castiel to leave him, he all ready felt alone with Sam as is. And now With Lisa and Ben out of the picture Dean really didn’t have anyone. As ways Dean was alone again.

---------------------------- ---------------------------- He was about 90% sure that he was dreaming though this could have easily been his life if times had changed. Jess was standing in front of him with a baby on her hip. They were standing outside of a two story house with a large yard. He could see a small car in the yard making him think that maybe the baby, who was a girl by the way, wasn’t the only child who lived there. A glittering on Jess’s finger signified a wedding ring was placed there, he assumed by him. He felt someone attack his legs and looked down, seeing a brown head of hair on a boy who looked to be about three.
Tears filled his eyes as he looked in on this, and wanted nothing more to stay in this place, with Jess and their children it seemed. He bent down and placed a kiss on the young boy’s forehead. “I love you buddy.” He stated, not wanting to let the tears fall from his eyes. He knew that he couldn’t stay here but he wanted too, more than anything. I love you too daddy.. He heard the sweet voice say back. He walked over to Jess and leaned down, pressing a kiss to their daughter’s cheek before whispering that he loved her as well.
Finally he looked into Jess’ eyes and he saw that they were smiling. “I know love.” She told him. Of course she did. She could see straight through him to the point that sometimes it was almost creepy. “This should have been our life. It would have been…but things were set in motion before you were even as old as she is. So please don’t mourn it.” She told him and he shook his head. “How could I not?” She smiled up at him. “Be safe love…and when it’s your time…you can meet me in our heaven that we’ll share with our two babies and be happy forever.” She told him, making it sound like a promise. “I will. I love you.” He told her before pressing his lips to hers before watching the three of them fade away.
Sam opened his eyes but laid completely still, knowing that he wasn’t the only one in the room. He heard his brother’s voice say something about having his own way of going to sleep (something to which Sam had to stop himself from rolling his eyes at) and then heard the tell tale signs of wings flapping, signifying that Castiel had also been there but had already gone. Once he was sure that it was just Dean and him in the room he sat up before looking at his brother. “Hey Dean.” He told him, smiling for the first time in a long time, and this time it wasn’t just a smirk.

- - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - Castile took off and left Dean alone as always, what else was new really. Dean was always left to be on his own. Castiel was always to busy for him, Lisa and Ben were tired of him, but most of all Dean didn’t have Sam any more. This was it Dean was destine to be alone forever, he better start getting use to it. He begin to then pop open another beer before he went to bed, Dean then kicked it back taking a drink. Then as Dean was drink his beer he notices that Sam was wakening up. Sam looked over at Dean telling him hey.
Hey! That was all he could say? “Hey! that’s all you can say to me after tonight, hey! After you have been out all night getting smashed, not telling me were you are, and I’m sure you are also having sex with strange woman. I’m I close on all you have been doing or is there anything else I should know about?” Dean said pissed off as all hell. Dean just couldn’t believe how Sam was acting, Dean couldn’t lie he wasn’t no Angel but he wasn’t as bad as Sam as been acting lately. But Dean better get use to it because this was how Sam was going to be forever, or until Jess finds his soul if she ever does.
Dean was just going to have to get use to the fact that he would never have his brother back again. This was it he was either going to have to deal with Sam with no soul or not have a brother at all. All though it really was like he didn’t have a brother all really, Sam would never do the things he had been doing lately. Sam was way to good of a person for all this, but that was one of the things Dean loved about him. “You Know Sam I just wish that you would act like yourself again, I need my brother back so bad. I miss the old Sammy so much.” Dean said trying not to cry. Dean knew he needed to chill on the drinking, it was the reason he had felt so emotional as is. The last thing he needs is for soulless Sam to see him cry, its not like he would care anyway.

---------------------------- ---------------------------- Sam was a bit stunned but not completely surprised when Dean blew up at him. He looked down at his self, wondering what gave off the impression that he had been drinking himself stupid and sleeping with random women. He was in his Stanford sweats and a Stanford hoodie…so not sure where Dean was coming up with the fact that he had turned into a drunk and a manwhore but apparently that’s what his older brother thought of him today. That’s when it hit him…he didn’t sleep when he didn’t have a soul. Of course Dean thought that he was drunk instead of sleeping…because he didn’t sleep.
“Dean…” He started but was interrupted before he could speak by his older brother going on another tangent about how he wanted his baby brother back and how he needed him to be his old self again and a bunch of other things that Sam could barely understand. He felt awful, and it wasn’t something that he liked to feel, though it was a familiar feeling. He knew he had treated his brother like shit when he didn’t have a soul because he didn’t care…and that was something that he was definitely not at all used.
“DEAN!” He yelled, finally getting a word in edgewise thankfully as he needed to interrupt his brother before he passed out due to lack of taking a breath. “Chill.” He stated softly, trying to get him to calm down before telling him the news that he was in fact back…thanks to Jess. Sam walked over to the bed that his brother was sitting on and sat next to him, looking him straight in the face. “It’s me.” He stated, though knowing that he would need to elaborate. “I’m back Dean…I have my soul.” He told him, hoping he would believe him but not sure if he would. “I’m okay…and I’m sorry for everything that I did when I didn’t.”
He hoped that Dean would believe him but he had a few ideas in the back of his mind on how to get him to believe him if he didn’t…which he had a feeling he wouldn’t. He remembered the necklace in his back pack pocket that Dean had thrown away but he had kept it…because he didn’t want it to get lost. He knew that if nothing else, that would convince him…but he hoped just his words would…he just had a feeling they wouldn’t.
