---------------------- ---------------------- What was a boy to do all alone? Of course the small boy could be out with some friends...who are we kidding...he has no friends. That's not exactly a lie, he does know people in his class and all but getting off track now. Luke hummed as his small feet in shoes that were perhaps a little to large bounded down the side walk towards the Cinema. His mother had given him money to keep the boy occupied while both parents were at work and his sister was at school so he was usually home alone a lot of days. He had grown used to it by now and he was eleven after all!
The curly haired blonde put his hand on the handle of the theater door, bounding inside with a rush of cool air, the smell of salt, butter, and stale candy assaulting his senses. Besides that everything here was way to expensive...as all movie theaters are. He looked up at the glowing words on the screen above the counters which showed the movies playing and the times. He really didn't know what to watch...he couldn't see anything rated R or even PG-13 alone! It was kind of not cool...he was totally mature enough to see those movies! Well...at least in his mind...after all he could stay up until 9...30 now!
His attention was pretty lax on what was going on around him...I mean who would steal a child in plain sight with a minimal amount of people here and workers literally a few feet in front of him. Lucas pointed at the movies that shown around this time. "Eenie...meanie...minie...moe," he said, moving his finger along with each made up word. It was the most adult way to choose! Then it was decided...his finger landing on a movie.

athryn 'Kathy' Anne O'Connor was annoyed. She hated being the age that she was for eternity. Being 11…for eternity…sucked…no pun intended. She hated having to constantly hide from people, including those of her own kind. She was currently walking through the cemetery, trying to find a peaceful place to just sit and listen to those around her. This is how she got her information while she was waiting for Anthony to give her any. Unfortunately now that he had gotten her this far, he was of little help since he wasn’t in Los Angles at the moment. Now it was up to her to find her big brother, and she would, one way or another. The down side to the entire thing was that no one could see her. She wasn’t as strong as most vampires, though she was still strong for a human. She knew in a battle against a human she would win hands down…but she knew she would be screwed up against any vampire who wasn’t a brand new one…and even that wasn’t a guarantee. She had gotten stronger over the years, but not as strong as one might think a 250 plus year old vampire should be. It sucked, but that was the price she paid…though she never offered to pay for it in the first place. Another noise came from behind her and she whimpered softly, though she wasn’t really afraid, only worried. She looked up and saw a perfect tree climbing tree and immediately set out to climb it, doing so in record time. Once she was up in the tree she felt safer, even though she knew vampires would be able to smell her. As long as they didn’t attack she was fine. She had honed her senses over the years, learning as much as she could in order to stay alive, but whatever was behind her was still too far away for her to get a good reading on it. She didn’t know what it was, or how many there were; only that someone was coming. For the millionth time, she wished that her brother was here. She had no idea how he would react upon seeing her once he finally did. She didn’t know if he’d be horrified, if he’d be excited, or if he’d be annoyed that he had tried to kill her and he didn’t succeed. She had no idea and that worried her. She hoped he would be excited to see her again. That he would wrap her up in his arms and hug her and tell her he missed her and that he loved her. She knew it was probably not going to happen that way, but she really hoped it would because if not, she would be heartbroken. She shook her brown curls and stood up, wanting to go somewhere, anywhere that wasn’t this stupid cemetery. She noted the time on her phone and realized it was only 9:00, plenty early to do something. She headed towards the movie theater, making it there in record time. Another reason she hated being stuck at 11, she couldn’t watch anything over PG…but it happened so she’d deal with it. walking in she didn’t watch where she was going and bumped directly into someone, someone small. “Oops, I’m sorry!” She stated, realizing too late that it was a boy around her age. Hmm…her night just got more interesting. Word Count- 609 Tag- Lucas Outfit- Find her outfit hereNote- Kathy is a vampire but is stuck at 11 years old…she also has a soul so she won’t hurt your boy. ---------------------- ---------------------- Lucas was so engrossed in what was directly in front of him he didn't notice the girl bump into him until it was to late, being pushed forward a little with a stumble but he at least didn't fall on his face...knees or anything like that. Falling on his butt probably would have been funny but it didn't happen. The curly haired blond turned to look at a girl about his age apologize to him. He looked confused...most kids his age seriously didn't talk to him because...well he was a little bit antisocial.
"...its okay..." he said, it was the polite thing to do or so he had been taught. That was the great thing about being mostly raised by his sister...he was trained well. He then remembered he was supposed to smile...so simply put he did. He clutched the money in his hand as his trusting nature stepped forward. "I'm...Lucas..." he said a little shyly. He wasn't that used to talking to other kids his age because...well simply put he didn't! It was one of those weird things that he just didn't do. Sure ask him to play video games with someone and he was there...but actually talk to them!? And a girl no less! Cooties!!! His sister told him that girls outgrew cooties when they were like sixteen which was when boys also became immune...and of course he believed her. After all why would she lie to him? Well why would he think she would lie to him about something like this? Exactly.

athryn 'Kathy' Anne O'Connor was stunned. It wasn’t every day that someone actually spoke to her like a regular human being…something that quite obviously that she wasn’t. She usually got a few different types of reactions when she opened her mouth and actually spoke to someone, which didn’t happy very often. If it was an adult they either scolded her for talking to strangers or they asked her where her parents were, both were annoying as her parents had been dead for over two hundred years and she had been alive for over two hundred years so she didn’t think that she needed to be told who to and who not to talk too. When she spoke to children around her age they either ran from her or they told their parents they had made a new friend…again both were annoying in their own way. Children ran from her a lot because children are much more perceptive than adults are. Children could feel the danger around them sometimes even when adults couldn’t…so a lot of children her own age that she had met felt that she wasn’t normal and simply ran away from her…not realizing that she wasn’t going to hurt them. She guessed it was good in a way that they trusted their instincts, but it didn’t stop it from hurting. As for the children to introduced her to their parents…well…the cycle began as they always asked where her parents were. However this young boy didn’t do either…he simply introduced himself as Lucas. She grinned at him, making sure that she didn’t show off all her teeth. Even though she had her human façade in place at the moment, her teeth were still extremely white, shiny, and a bit intimidating so she had been told, so when she smiled she tried to keep them as covered as possible without being obvious. “Hi Lucas, I’m Kathy. What are you doing here at night by yourself?” She asked, then hated herself immediately for it. She had officially become the adults that she hated. ---------------------- ---------------------- The boy really didn't notice anything different about the girl. He is what they call naive...and childish of course but that comes with being eleven years old. She asked why he was here alone in the middle of the night...she sounded like an old person when she asked...like she was at least 30! Yes, to this small boy the age of 30 was ANCIENT! It came with being so young, five years to an eleven year old is so much time compared to that of a 200 plus vampire for example.
"Seeing a movie...my mom drove me on her way to work..." he said. The woman worked the night shift today at the local hospital...not that it was very different from a few days a week that she did that. It came with the job of being a doctor and all...especially a really good one or so he had been told. He barely knew anything about medicine besides bandaids and...more bandaids.
He looked at her weirdly because of how she had said well...what she said. "It's a movie theatre..." he trailed off, the line moving up as he spoke. He gave a quick look to it, the line was pretty short like normal in a movie theatre except of course during midnight premieres of highly anticipated movies. This was not one of those times so there was no worry. "What are you doing here at night by yourself?" he said repeating her question trying to imitate her voice...making his high voice even higher to try and imitate hers. What do you know...he is a boy after all.

athryn 'Kathy' Anne O'Connor was not naïve. She could tell just by the way this boy spoke and the way that he carried himself that he was extremely innocent in the ways of the world. Unfortunately even though she still had her childlike qualities about her she was not at all innocent to how cruel and how real the world really was. She had seen things that no child should see, hell she had been through things (her death and her being turned for one thing) that no one whether child or adult should have to go through. She had dealt with it all as best as she could but she definitely wouldn’t wish it on anyone. Child or not. She wasn’t sure how she felt about this young boy being by himself other than it made her think of herself in an unselfish way. She was always alone, even when she had someone near her. She could be in a crowd of 30,000 (something she avoided doing at all costs) and yet she could still be more alone than anyone else in the place. She had one person in her life that she trusted and that was Anthony, someone she only saw every couple of years because they had to stay hidden. It was a lonely life, but what could she really do about it. Not a whole lot as she had unfortunately found out over the last two hundred years. She had been turned at 11, and her older brother had left with the blonde witch who had turned the both of them. She hadn’t found her older brother yet and until she did she knew she would be alone…there was nothing she could do about it other than to just deal…it was what she had done for years and what she would continue to do until she couldn’t anymore. “What movie are you going to see?” She asked, curious as to what an 11 year old could see by himself without an adult around. She laughed when he tried to imitate her by asking what she was doing here. “I’m going to see a movie too.” She told him, glad she put makeup on to make herself look a bit older than usual. If she could pass for 16 (something she had gotten good at) she could have them go see a movie together and try to pass as his babysitter or something. ---------------------- ---------------------- Lucas pointed to the most adult, actiony film in the world...Winnie the Pooh. Those people who don't understand sarcasm aside, he was strange for sure. The eleven year old was going to see Winnie the Pooh! I mean his older sister would have probably seen it too and she's in her twenties but that's different...well not really but. "That one, my sister always saw every movie when it came out with me," he said. It was true...actually most of the time she was the one who suggested it.
That was besides the point though, looking at the girl with those brown eyes he repeated her question. "What movie are YOU going to see?" putting emphasis on the word you of course. It was just the nature of children to be pains...but she'd probably know that since she'd been a child for ages. Though she is still a girl so its different. The blonde boy hummed as the line came closer to them, almost time to buy tickets! After all of that he'd get popcorn...soda and perhaps some candy. Though pretzel bites with cheese did sound rather good...maybe he'd get those instead of popcorn...or maybe just a small popcorn!
Actually that was most of what was on his mind... the food. He always loved the food here at the theatre. It was really the only reason to see a movie here instead of waiting for it to come out on dvd...that and the waiting part of course. The boy loved the smell of the buttery popcorn, the sound of the gushing soda from the fountain and the seats were comfy!

athryn 'Kathy' Anne O'Connor was still a kid. That being said, she couldn’t help but be excited at the prospect of seeing Winnie the Pooh. She had read the books when they had first came out in 1926. She remembered reading about this bear and the first time she had thought it was ridiculous, but as she re-read it (for something to do since she had to stay indoors during the day) she came to love it. Since then she had read all the books, watched all the movies (including the Tigger movie) and even knew the ‘Christopher Robin’ song by heart. Any other vampire would laugh their asses off at her because she had absolutely no street cred for a vampire but she really didn’t care. Not having street cred was just one of the millions of reasons that she avoided getting to know other vampires whether they were like her or not. Another of the main reasons was that she had no strength compared to most other vampires. While vampires by nature were strong they got more strength the stronger they were as a human. She had only been 11 when she had been turned meaning that her strength now being over 200 years old was only that of a normal vampire who had just been turned. It wasn’t fun to deal with in all actuality because of the fact that she was young, though older at the same time, and yet she still had no strength to back her up if she would ever have to defend herself. It was honestly a surprise to any of those who knew her that she had lasted this long. She grinned a childlike grin at the boy who seemed years younger than her though was actually the same age as she was frozen at. “Actually I was thinking of seeing the same movie…want to see it with me?” She asked him, hoping that he would agree. She worried about children being out late at night and didn’t want to let anyone get hurt if she could help it. Besides, it would be nice to have someone to talk to…it was rare that she had anyone anymore. Word Count- 389 Tag- Lucas Outfit- Find her outfit hereNote- Nah! Don’t worry about it! ---------------------- ---------------------- The blonde boy hummed as the line came closer to them, almost time to buy tickets! After all of that he'd get popcorn...soda and perhaps some candy. Actually that was most of what was on his mind as the girl talked still... the food. He had decided against the pretzel bites...the cheese here was really bad after all which also knocked the nachos out. The small boy looked at katheryn as she asked if they could see it together.
The boy smiled, "Sure, we can see it together," he said. After all it was always better to see movies with other people. Of course the person he really wanted to see it with was his sister but this other girl would have to do. After all he could have gone with an adult but...it was never as much fun now was it? With another child... or his sister... he could have fun watching the movie. The line moved up to the children by now of course. After all these things moved pretty quickly because they had to. This was the way movie theatre's worked.
Lucas looked at the cashier person, cheerfully saying, "Winnie the Pooh please." Well this would be fun. The sound of tickets being created was formed as Lucas ponied up the cash for his ticket. The boy was handed his ticket as he looked back to Katheryn on the side. If they were going together he'd have to wait for her to get her ticket so they wouldn't get lost of separated after all...a skill he had developed in the mall of course.

atheryn 'Kathy' Anne O'Connor smiled. She was glad that this young boy in front of her that seemed so young to her even though he was technically her age (at least her human age) was still so innocent. She was glad that there were some people out there who still believed that good triumphed over evil, that anything could be possible, and that no one could hurt them. She loved it and she hated it. Loved it because it was nice to see the world through children’s eyes…seeing that innocence and love of life that they had for everything was refreshing. She hated it because they were easy targets. Children who didn’t know any better…weren’t cautious. They weren’t careful…and they would believe anything that anyone said. Also, when a child’s dreams are crushed…it’s almost unbearable to watch. She learned that from her grandmother…who had to watch as Kathy slowly came to the realization after she had been turned that there would be no husband, no children, no growing old…there was just what she was…stuck…immortal at 11 years old, and killed by her big brother who she loved more than anyone in the world. The realization on her face when she realized that was apparently heart breaking…and Kathy knew she didn’t want to see that happen to anyone else. She heard Lucas’ young voice ask for Winnie the Pooh and before she could pay for him he did so herself. She quickly asked for the same movie and gave over her money, getting her change and her ticket back in return. She smiled down at Lucas, making sure she played the part of the older sister without words so much but in actions. “Want to get something to eat while we watch the movie? My treat.” She stated but didn’t let him answer before grabbing his hand and leading him over towards the candy counter. “What should we get?” She asked, hoping she was able to fake eating like she had done for so long. Food didn’t taste gross to her…and she could eat it…but it made her sad to know that she couldn’t really taste all there was to taste. She could taste really strong tastes…sugar…salt…those types of things. But she couldn’t really appreciate them. Her eyes widened as she heard someone call Lucas' name. She looked back and saw a woman heading over towards them. She watched as Lucas took one look at her and went with her, waving goodbye to her. Ahh, guess she wouldn't be seeing Winnie the Pooh after all. Word Count- 394 Tag- Lucas Outfit- Find her outfit hereNote- No problem! I know internet issues happen.
