------------------------------- [/color][/b]  -------------------------------[/color][/b] Russell decided to take a stroll today, it was his day off and he didn't feel like staying home. It was a nice day out so why not be out! With a smile Russell went through his pants trying to find some shorts to wear. Of course they were at the bottom of the pile. It had been a while since he wore shorts which was slightly weird because being a werewolf he was ALWAYS warm. Than again he was also always working and needed to protect his legs. Shrugging he ripped off his pajama pants and slid on his shorts.
Taking a seat on his couch he pulled his shoes on. Leaning back against his huge soft sofa he just sighed. There wasn't much to do around this town. You needed to have some sort of imagination in order to live here. One couldn't JUST live off of the historic sites. With that in mind he jumped up and grabbed is shirt, pulling it on he grabbed his keys and headed off. The breeze was cool and it felt nice against his skin. It was days like these Russell missed being in Hawaii where there was a beach and babes in bikini's all the time. It was a price to pay for not following the rules. Russell loved his life here, being free and doing his own thing, it was great there just needed to be a little more excitement other than the supernatural terrors that ran around at night.
Sticking his hands in his pockets he made his way down the street. He decided not to take his car because it was such a nice day to be out, plus he could use some exercises. Taking in deep breaths of the fresh air relaxed his body. Too bad Vampires could never be in the sunlight again it was a wonderful thing. So bright and warm. Walking down the street he spotted some lovely ladies getting into their cars. There were some gorgeous women that lived here, which was why he liked it so much. Russell always managed to get into some trouble where ever he went. As Russell watched the girls leave he wished there would be someone with more excitement, someone different not as in species but as person in general. It seemed that the girls who lived here were all starting to look and act the same. He needed some difference in his life.
Taking a turn down a dirt bath he made his way to the Wickery Bridge. Russell loved to come here and just sit and look out over the bridge. There were some great nature sites here and this was one of his favorite spots. Climbing up on the edge he took a seat and just kind of stared off into nothing. Still aware of his surroundings he began to focus on some trees swaying in the wind. It was so peaceful sometimes without the raged drivers trying to get by. It was too nice o a day to let it be wasted away.

[/b] Speaking to the wild deer that was stuck in a trap, it was just beautiful. Her awful thoughts of taking a picture of it before releasing it would be awfully cruel so instead Nora preferred to loose the best shot in her life to save the majestic creature before her. Placing her fingers between the jaws of the trap, she pulled and pulled but nothing would move it. Pulling away, she tied up her hair and placed her camera from her neck down. Placing on her tough act, she forcefully and as strong as she could open the trap enough for the creature to pounce away. Successful enough the deer was freed and she found her number one picture running away. Brushing off her hands from the rusty remains that laid upon her hand, she took her camera and walked quietly in the forest to find a sweet pic before heading home to Ma and Pa. A sudden stop brought Nora to squint her eyes and found a beautiful blue jay which was very rare to find out here. Quickly she squatted down and got into her picture phase. Crunch The bird flew off, and Nora found herself running after it, she soon lost her endurance and found her self at the bridge where she had never been for a very long time. Sighing a bit, she placed her lens back on and began walking near the bridge to see down for a bit but before she knew it, the blue jay appeared again and Nora whipped out her camera to take a picture. Snap Feeling pretty happy about herself, she thought she got the picture but she remember she placed the lens on, feeling like an idiot she flat out screamed causing the bird to fly away. ------------------------------- [/color][/b] -------------------------------[/color][/b] Hearing the girl coming Russell hopped off the edge of the bridge, and looked over to see a girl trying to get a picture of a Blue Jay. When she screamed Russell kind of pulled his head away making a face. She was loud at least for his animal ears. Shaking it off he watched her to see if she would walk away and when she didn't and she just sat down Russell began to walk over to her. Being cautious not to scare the poor girl. Soon he was standing only inches away, looking down at her he smiled. Her hair was certainly different. Like nothing he had really ever seen before. She must be very unique.
In a calm voice he spoke to her "You don't have to worry, the bird will come back. She has a nest here, not too far away." Russell only knew this because he was here all the time and well he could smell it. His senses were top notch but that was because he was a wolf. Not like anyone knew that though, he just told them he had a very sensitive nose which did get him some odd looks sometimes but he never paid them any mind. Leaning against the railing of the bridge he looked around a little just to make sure he wasn't being rude by staring at the strange girl before him.
"I can show you where the nest is, if you would still like to get your picture." Russell was a sweet guy but he was also a stranger. And in this town strangers were not always the best thing. Especially with all the deaths and disappearances. If she turned him down that would not be a problem, he was just trying to help the damsel in distress, so to speak. Russell made himself comfortable leaning against the railing. Both elbows placed behind him on the edge while his back rested up against the walls of the railing. There really wasn't much to do to get him comfortable.

Looking up she found it was a man, he looked new and they got a lot of new people around here but she never saw him before, he was kind of cute but why would he come over and say hello. She known not to trust people but still guess he was either friendly, a creep or plain out pervert. Standing up, she rubbed off her butt and looked up at him.why everyone so taller than me?
[/color] thinking to herself before saying anything to the stranger. ”Awkward turtle” placing her hand on top of another and making her bottom fingers move like little arms and legs. Shaking her head a bit, she sighed noticing what a stupid move she just made, but she didn’t mind it was different it was her. ”Thanks but I won’t force you to take me. I like to wait for my prey before snapping pictures. Like to get different angles, I’m Ailionora, a mouthful but just call me Nora.”[/b] rubbing the back of her neck, she held out her hand for a simply hand shake, maybe she should start making new friends around here before actually debating she was going to stay or not, she could avoid all the vampire crap. ”You recently moved here? Or out for a visit?”[/b] He was very different, but he was cool so far. Nice brown hair, nicely built a pretty handsome guy what was she thinking a guy like him would be dating a model; honestly he should be a model. ------------------------------- [/color][/b] -------------------------------[/color][/b] Russell let out a small laugh. She was cute, maybe a little awkward but cute none the less. He studied her features with out really staring. Her smell was intoxicating, not something he would tell her but he liked it. Thinking quickly he thought of another animal that could be done easily in sign language. Placing his hand under his chin and giving a kind of wave, he smiled and spoke "Pig" Russell could be just as weird if he wanted to, plus he didn't want to make her feel too weird. Russell preferred it if things were not awkward when first meeting people and he was good at making it so.
"How would you be forcing me when I was the one who suggested it?" Russell was teasing her a little. Everything about this girl screamed different, new, fun, and exciting. Russell was becoming interested in this girl. Taking her hand he shook it. "You have a very pretty name Aili... Nora." Her hand was small compared to his. Than again she was small in general. That or he was just big. Either way shorter girls were preferred. Someone taller than him would be a little weird in his mind. Letting her hand go so he didn't seem like a creeper. He smiled, it was a charming smile nothing weird, or scary.
When she asked if he was new here he kind of chuckled. "I have been here for a while. I have been her for maybe a couple years now. I do travel a lot so that is probably why you haven't seen me around. I am also here a lot, it's one of my favorite places to be." Russell could talk a lot sometimes but it kept things going and there were never really any awkward silent moments. "Have you been here long? Because I don't remember seeing you around town." Russell tried to think back at all the times he had actually walked around town to see if maybe he had seen her before. But her face didn't look familiar and her hair would have given her away right off the bat so he was thinking he hadn't seen her around before but that could be because of many reasons.
"The offer still stands if you would like to go see the nest, I am sure the baby birds will be hatching today if they haven't already." Russell was a big nature guy. Being outside with the trees and plants was perfect, all the animals running around. Some of them made for good prey if he was hungry and in wolf form. Being out doors made him feel alive because he could do anything he wanted with out a bunch of people around. Turning his attention off his own thoughts and back on to Nora, the tiny girl standing before him.

Smiling at his pig, she couldn’t help but giggle a bit. Placing on her game face, which was normally a smile meaning “let’s go take a picture” untying her hair, she looked up at the stranger, he knew her name now but she didn’t know his and she was going to go with him without a name. Crinkling her nose, she simply sneezed and uses her sleeve to block anything gross from polluting the air, her nose was slightly red but not too red, must have been her allergy to the pollen in the air she wasn’t allergic to animals not that she knew of, she had a dog and a cat so must have been pollen.
”Excuse me, and I would love for you to take me to see the nest, No name” gesturing her arm to lead the way so she could get home, relax, eat and possibly sleep if Grandma wasn’t doing spells that protected the house, or spells on her for protection thinking about it made her roll her eyes and slightly laugh.”You sure like to talk don’t you? It’s a good thing I talk a lot too, heehee” walking along the dirt road near the forest.
Thinking about when she arrived to little Mystic Falls meant lot of brain power to work and she haven’t had any coco or tea of that matter so her brain was frying slowly to remember the days, the date, the year or any of the months.”I’ve recently came to live with my Grandparents and to go to school, and you seem like an adventurous person. Maybe you should see the falls they are gorgeous, But you probably seen it already
huh?” canting her head and flashing her pretty hazel eyes at him that some people say can see into his soul after all they say eyes are windows to your soul.
Nora felt it all sounded a bit creepy.

Russell just hoped it wasn't because she might be allergic to dogs because well he was one and that would be a hard thing to explain really. Russell than realized she had told him her name but he completely forgot to give her his own. Feeling not to bright at that moment he introduced himself. "I'm sorry, I am being rude. My name is Russell Colton." He tried to make up for it by giving a last name as well. It's not like he had to worry about anything, he could protect himself with no problem. Scratching the back of his head he just smiled. 'No name' that was a good move. "Yes I do like to talk a lot, but it's because I always have something to say. Plus it's a great way to get to know someone."
Thinking a bit about the falls. He really hadn't been there in sometime now. He also has been very busy with cars and his own personal problems. "Yes, I have seen them before but I can't remember when that was. It has defiantly been a long time..." He said laughing slightly. In this town there were not many places to go and do things and most people go to the falls. Russell has been around here for a while yet he can't remember when the last time he went to the falls. It was sad really. Shrugging it off he took the lead a little, showing her the way to the birds.
"So you live with your grandparents. That is pretty cool." He said nodding. Russell never really got the chance to bond with any of his family except his younger sister but that was because he was kicked out of his pack and if he were to ever return he would most likely be killed or something worse. It didn't bother him though except the part where he had to leave his sister. It was hard for him to get over that and he doesn't really talk about his family or anything. He likes people thinking he came out of thin air, makes life simple most of the time.
"So how old are you Nora?" Russell wanted to make sure she was of age because the last thing he needed was to seem like a child molester or something. It wouldn't look good on his reputation. He was old enough to know that, that is not something that is funny or interesting. Older people should keep their paws off the younger ones. Not thinking on that too much he just continued to walk keeping in step with Nora so he wouldn't leave her behind with his huge steps that he normally took.

Nora smiled finally getting a name out of her mysterious friend, he seems quite night so maybe he won’t bite her or eat her, he didn’t seem to have a ring nor a wedding ring but he seemed awfully young like, whatever the case he was nice and he wasn’t trying to eat her like some of the people here in town like the vampires, more vampires, or right and demons suddenly arrived in town, her Grandmother was freaking out and going spell crazy so nothing could come in or come near Nora, whatever the case is, she just wanted to get pictures.
”Thank you, and Nice to meet you Russell” smiling a bit, before crinkling her nose and laughing a bit before following him more. She thought about the falls, she was naturally terrified of water, especially the rushing river water, it was too fast and it could kill someone the only water she would allow was pool water or the beach, and the beach sound good right about now. Yawning a bit, she covered her mouth and thought about Grandpa, wondered if he was making numerous stakes and travel in his black truck, bagging and tagging, all of this was giving her a headache.
Shaking it off, she stopped and found the blue jay. It was beautiful. Looking at her camera, she removed the lens and climbed on a rock and began taking a picture, taking different angles, Maybe if I climbed the tree I could get a perfect shot it was a bit risky but it was worth it. Looking to Russell she smiled, and grabbed on to a branch and began looking for a way to climb up,”So where are you from? I never ask you that…and Grandparents? Nah, that’s not cool it seems more like a nerd problem unless you have family trouble…”
Finally finding a way up, she looked down and looked back up and climbed sitting on the branch. It cracked a bit but it wasn’t going to break she hoped pulling out her camera, she took a picture of it and pulled out a cracker broke it into several pieces and placed it near the nest so the bird could eat some. Just then the eggs hatched and Nora couldn’t help but smile. She took a few snapshots and began looking for a way down. Climbing down the way she came, she stepped on a branch half way down, and fell on her butt, luckily she was almost down not way up.
”Ouch, mean tree….remind me not to climb on you again. And I’m twenty, soon twenty one” laughing at her failure. She stood up and looked to Russell and couldn't help but give a evil grin. Pulling out her camera, she took a picture of him and quickly hid behind the tree."Hah! I got a picture of ya!

She was very good at it, it probably helped that she was tiny so the branches could hold her. Now if Russell were to climb up that tree he wouldn't get far. The first branch would probably break before he could put all his weight on it. He smiled as he watched her. She was something. Different from all the other girls he had seen or been with and he liked that. It was new and exciting for him. Something you don't find in this town very often. It seemed to him that she had a passion for photography were as he had a passion for cars and he respected that. Especially when someone would go to any length to get what they wanted or needed such as climbing a tree with branches that could and would break at any time. In the end it would all be worth it. Watching baby birds be born was special. Precious.
"Well originally I am from Hawaii... But that was a long time ago" Russell wasn't very open about his past and when people asked he tried to dodge the bullet to the best of his ability, and he has been very successful so far but you never know maybe there was someone out there who could squeeze his past out from him only if they already knew of his secret if not, that task would be impossible. "Grandparents can be cool." Russell had a charming little smile dancing across his face. He never really liked his grandparents but some could still be cool just not his...
Russell watched as she made her way down the old tree, hoping she would make it down OK. She did make it down most of the way till she fell and landed o her butt. Russell laughed a little. It was funny and rather cute when she talked to the tree. "Maybe the tree didn't like you climbing on it." Russell chuckled and shoot his head a little. When she got up and took a picture of him, he was caught off guard by her actions. "Hey!" He laughed and ran up to the tree she was hiding behind and looked at her.
"Miss, I'm going to have to confiscate that picture now." Russell sounded half serious even though he wasn't and was still smiling as he said it. Both of his hands were on the tree and he was just kind of peeking over at her as he talked.

Nora giggled and stuck out her tongue as Russell asked for the snapshot she took of him, she wasn’t going to give it back no way, it was too funny. She laughed and decided to try to make a different conversation so she could run away with a handsome photo of her newly found friend.”Hawaii huh? My cousins leave out there” she forgot to mention that they were all witches and warlocks yet her father didn’t give her the witch gene thank god, she didn’t have to go through the spells and charms that were suppose to protect her from evil, she had Grandma for that.
The tree wasn’t going to block them for long, he laughed at her for falling down and made a smart remark about it so obviously it was payback time to show him a lesson by taking a few pictures of him, she took her camera and took a few pictures and then hid a few in her back but kept a special one dear to her in her hand she continued to giggle and smile which was the very first time she actually had this much fun for awhile.”Okay Tall, Tan and Handsome, if you want it back you are going to have to get it from me. Because I don’t see a police badge anywhere” laughing as she ran off with the photo.
Laughing a bit, she placed the camera in her bag and held the picture in front of his face then took off deep into the forest that led to the falls, she couldn’t stop laughing but she turned back and couldn’t see him maybe she lost him. Taking out the photo she stared at it and laughed a bit on how she scored a bit of the most handsome Hawaii man ever, she started giggling and she couldn’t help but think what Grandmother would think of him and maybe Grandpa would like to have a word with him.

Nora tripped over a branch, and rolled down the hill hitting her head on the way down, falling into the water. She was drowning, she blacked out and she couldn’t breathe what an idiot she was to fall into the water. Remembering the time when she lost her parents, it was tragic yet she was able to survive all of it why was she the lucky one? Maybe this time she could actually die and reunite with her parents, she could live her dream up there with them, no regrets just peace and family.

He reached around the tree trying to get her but she was quick for a human. Russell liked that. She was a lot of fun and he had just met her so if he really got to know her she might be even more fun to hang out with. But only time will tell on that. "Your cousin, that's cool, do you ever visit?" He was curious, he hadn't been back in Hawaii in a long time and he missed it. Maybe she had been there and could tell him a little bit about it. Who knows.
"I can change that" he teased as he gave her a serious look. He was a mechanic not a cop but he could still get it from her if he really wanted to. He was having fun though and he was flirting a lot with his new girl friend. Nora took a few more pictures of him off guard, it was a good thing he was photogenic because she was getting him left and right and all over the place. Maybe it was because she thought he was cute, she did say he was handsome. That was something he would have to ask her when he caught up with her. He laughed as he watched her take off into the forest.
Russell took off after her, he let her get some distance on him but it was because he was a fast runner and wanted it to be some what fair. As he was running his senses kicked in and he herd Nora's laughter stop. He also herd what to be tumbling. He knew they were close to a hill and the river where the falls hit. With that in mind he took off faster than before. His animal instincts kicking in, every sound was loud and clear. Russell even sniffed the air for her. He was afraid she was in danger and if she was, would it be his fault?
His hear began to pound like it was going to explode in his chest. The air had a tint of blood in it. Was it Nora's? He couldn't tell he never actually sniffed her to know so, he always tried to keep his animal side away that way it didn't make things weird for the other person. Finally getting to the other side of the hill he started to head down, jumping over rocks and branches, and fallen logs and ducking under branches or vines. He was determined to find her, she had to be safe! Spotting the river his eyes searched the rushing water for a body or something.
There was no sign till he saw it. Red hair glowing through the water. It was Nora! His eyes widened as he raced down for her yelling "NORA! I'M COMING! HOLD ON!!" On his way down Russell tumbled a little bit cutting up his arm and ripping at his shirt, it was no big deal though. Finally he reached the water and jumped in without second thought. The only thing on his mind was Nora. Swimming over to her he grabbed her. One arm wrapped up around her right shoulder and grabbed her waist on the left side. He propped her head up on his shoulder.
"I got you Nora." He said as he started to swim sideways getting to the edge of the water before the Falls. Gripping the muddy bank he dragged himself and Nora's lifeless body up on to the dry grounds. Russell's breathing was shallow, and they were drenched and bleeding. Laying her flat on her back he opened her mouth "Come on Nora, breath for me" he whispered as he leaned forward to begin two rescue breaths. His mouth locked on to hers and he gave her two deep breaths, raising her chest each time. Pulling up he pushed on her abdomen, hoping it would send what water she did suck in out. Giving her another breath he began CPR. Russell hoped that she would be OK. Hopefully he got to her in time to save her.

Nora couldn’t breathe she just couldn’t but just then she coughed up water and sat up, her eye was a little blurred filled with water she guess same with her ears, but she didn’t care she was just wondering who saved her, she looked over and found Russell he was looking at her with a worried expression and found that her camera was soaked, she squealed and gave a sad sigh then a pouty face but when she notice Russell was hurt, she ripped her sleeve and wrapped it around his arm but what she didn’t realize he was shirtless.
Blushing she looked away and didn’t know what to say, or how to say it all she could think of was say ”Oh your shirtless and you saved me and you have an amazing body and yeah you saved me” she swallowed her giggles and looked at him for a second her green eyes glew with worried and relief.”Thank you so much…I owe you big time…That wasn’t the first time I almost died but you know things happen for a reason” she looked down and thought about her parents deep in thought and couldn’t help but wondered if they were watching her.
Standing up she pulled him up along with her and took of her jacket revealing her black tank top that was drench in water, it had a little cute monkey on it. She felt like a nerd, honestly normally she would dress up in her PJ’S and walk around Mystic Falls just taking pictures, but now she had to resort to using her Grandpa’s really old camera that would snap and take forever to get the photo out, she tied her jacket and squeezed all the water out before looking back to her saviour and stuck out her tongue.
He saved her and she owed him her life, she had to do at least something for him, maybe invite him to dinner with her Grandparents, she laughed a bit and snorted then finally manage to find the strength to tell him something other then thanks for saving my life and I owe you big time speech which she already did because she talked to much and fast for her own damn good and she couldn’t help it because she was a ginger, or wouldn’t it be red head. ”I need to get you a new shirt, Mr. Sorry for the trouble I am really clumsy and should have been watching where I was going so sorry, I really am I don’t know what to do I feel I should invite you for dinner but then again my grandmother would scare you and my Grandpa would have a shot gun waiting for you at the end of the tunnel so I don’t know what to do…” she felt like this guy was her boyfriend or something maybe he won’t vanish like the other.
The last one was such a dick! Rolling her eyes as she mumbled and sat down on the rock looking at her broken Camera.

Placing a hand on her should her looked her in the eyes and said "I would love to come to dinner." He was being serious, although he hoped he had time to grab some different clothes or something. He didn't want to make a bad first impression. "Your welcome Nora. I am just glad I got to you in time." Russell had a sincere smile on his face. He was glad. It would have been terrible if something were to happen to her on the first day they met.
"I am sorry about your camera though." He kind of shrugged. Better the camera died than her. Looking over at his arm, the cuts were not too bad. They would heal in no time with no problem thanks to his inner animal that he tried to keep caged when around other people. The wind began to blow through the trees, it was little drafty but not too bad. Of course Russell barely felt it because he was so hot blooded. So the cool air felt nice to him for the most part.
"So when is this dinner at? Do I have time to put on a change of clothes?" Russell was not showing up at her house half naked pretty much. That was just screaming for him to get shot or something! "By the way, you don't need to get me a new shirt. I have plenty at my place." he said laughing a bit. It was true Russell had plenty of clothes for him and to spare. He probably should go through his stuff one of these times and get rid of a bunch of stuff he never wears or uses.
"As for your grandparents I think I will be fine unless I get shot." Russell laughed a little and hoped that he wouldn't get shot. He has been shot before it is no fun at all. He was sure her grandparents where just protective of her and they had every right to be, she was beautiful young lady in a dangerous world. Russell wanted to protect her to. But that was because he liked her. She was fine minus the almost dying part.

Nora laughed like crazy and then looked away blushing like a rose. She walked over and gave him a simple kiss on the cheek to thank him once more and looked up at him.”Okay tonight at 7:00 you can’t miss my house it’s blue and huge, so don’t be blind and miss it pretty” giggling and placing her finger to her lip as she thought for a second about him being shirtless at the front table that would be very awkward and her Grandparents would freak but Nora wouldn’t mind one bit she was just that time of person.
Sighing a bit she shuffled her feet and stood up from the rock and winked at him showing him the way up the hill so they could part their separate ways until Dinner tonight, it was going to be very awkward and at least it would be a fun experiences since her Grandparents were pretty chill about certain things but after her last boyfriend leaving her without warning, no calls for years they have been pretty protective about her with men, so they couldn’t risk it. Besides what if Russell was like a monster or something, possibly a Vampire or Witch but her mother would be able to sense it, but he can’t be a monster yeah right laughing to herself.
Sighing a bit she walked up the hill revealing the road which normally led to her house if she went the right way, but she would be fine on her own. Placing her back around her neck then placing her arm through the loop helped a lot so she wouldn’t carry it by hand. Looking around her green eyes glistened in the fading sunset that went down slowly which was awfully beautiful; she was gaining an endless pain in her stomach.

It was a nice surprise that he didn't mind getting at all. Nodding as she spoke "OK big, and blue, got it! I won't miss it." He reassured her. Russell was good with directions and finding places. It helped that this place wasn't too big so it made locating things a lot easier. He was also a great tracker since he was a werewolf. He could just use his nose to follow her scent. Either way he would make it there with no problem, but he did need to get a change of clothes on before he met her grandparents. he wouldn't want to give them the wrong impression or anything, or risk getting shot right there on the spot.
Shaking that thought from his mind he followed Nora up the hill to the street. "So shall I walk you home? Just to make sure you get there safely." He did want to make sure she got there OK, it was getting dark and that is when all the vampires came out to hunt and feed. Or the demons came out to steal you away. Something terrible always happened at night. Luckily it wasn't a full moon tonight, or he would be screwed. Russell would hate to blow her off because of a full moon but he would have to just to keep her safe. His beast within was not tame, it pretty much had a mind of it's own. He could control it however if he tried really hard that is.
Nora mentioned how beautiful the sunset was and he did agree but that isn't what he told her. "Yes you are." Russell was being sly in a cute sort of way. He wanted to see if he could make her blush again. She was awfully cute when red. Plus he liked to be cheesy sometimes, only when the right moment occurred and well that was a pretty good moment. At least he thought it was.

Note: Why don't we just continue on to the dinner. he could walk her home than run to his place get on different dry clothes, she could explain why she was wet and that she inviting him over for dinner than he can show up at her place in different clothes and they can have their awkward dinner haha.
