A visit to heaven. No it wasn't. Giselle had always been reluctant to return to Heaven, especially since she wasn't exactly one with the crowd there. She had no superiority complex that came about simply from being an angel. The blond was always aware that she should have been looking after people. Isn't that what some angels were for? However, Giselle took this time to take in the scenery. It was beautiful here, a remote area in the eastern portion of the United States. Here she knew she could possibly get some peace.
Giselle had heard much about what was going on in Heaven. She did have a way of keeping herself hidden from most other angels, mostly because she liked her distance from some of her siblings. This was mostly because they usually never saw eye-to-eye with Giselle. She was always one to avoid conflict, and usually to avoid the increase of contention. It was simply an unhappy feeling. Giselle was in her white lace mini dress and white pumps. She hadn't changed, simply because she liked the way this ensemble looked.
Oh there was a stream. Giselle couldn't resist this. She went over to the banks of the stream and removed her pumps. The angel proceeded to sit with her feet in the pleasantly cool stream water. This was just incredible to her. She couldn't begin to express, though if only Castiel were here to enjoy it with her. Why did he suddenly crop up into her thoughts? That was odd, but she felt sincere about it. She then heard the snap of a twig. Giselle looked about to see just who it would be, to no avail, she couldn't even sense it, whatever it was. Though she felt confident that it was nothing to fear.

--------------------------------xxxxLike an apple in the tree
Hiding out behind the leaves I was difficult to reach But you picked me --------------------------------- The Trickster wandered around the woods that he had terrorized campers with big foot not that long ago. He wasn’t in the mood to do anything right now, thinking about the civil war in heaven and all the shit that has just blown up in his face. The Trickster let out a sigh as he continued to walk with his hands in his pockets, his right around a chocolate bar that was partially unwrapped. The thought of his siblings killing each other was not something he wanted to picture, it was kind of like the whole Lucifer ordeal all over again. Raphael was totally screwing everything up. He agreed with Castiel, and what he was fighting for, and Gabriel decided that he was going to help Dean.
The Trickster pulled it out of his pocket and took another bite. He placed it back in his pocket as he stopped a moment. The archangel had sensed that another angel was near by, and he let out a long, exaggerated sigh of annoyance. He would check it out of course but he knew that the angel would sense him in return and he would have to just fly himself away and hide. that’s what he did best, run and hide.
The Trickster had caught the sight of the familiar blond angel by the name of Giselle. She was the happy one, the bubbly one. He liked that about her, for some odd reason. He watched her go over to the stream and she sat down with her feet in the water. The Trickster had walked over to her and sat down beside her, with out waiting for her to invite him to sit down with her. He took the chocolate bar and bit into it again, waiting to swallow before he said anything to her.
“fancy seeing you again.” Gabriel smiled to her.

Giselle would be lying if she said that she wasn't worried about all that was going on in heaven. She was very worried about it all, she wanted to help out, but there wasn't much that she could do to help. She'd help Castiel watch over his friends, the Winchesters, she'd take care of people, but she couldn't do all that much more to help. She was an angel essentially built to be a guardian. Giselle took in all of her surroundings. The trees, the stream, the water flowing over her feet was wonderful. She loved the sensation. Giselle loved her father's creations, they were all beautiful, at least to her they were.
As if things couldn't get any stranger. She felt the presence of another angel in the vicinity. Sure she was thinking of her best friend, Castiel, at the moment, she was thinking of all that he had told her. She mentioned Loki to him, only to be told that it was really their older brother Gabriel. That was interesting. Though, she had heard that he was dead, but the fact that he was alive was nice. Giselle did love her siblings, despite the crap they put each other through. She was wary of many of them, since so many wouldn't hesitate to kill her. She was on Castiel's side after all.
She was even more surprised that this angel sat beside her, rather than kill her. Giselle looked to this person, and was amazed to see that it was Loki, rather, Gabriel. “I would say the same to you, big brother,” she replied in a cheerful manner, “it's good to see you.” She smiled. At least there were siblings of hers that were friendly, in a way, even if he tended to hide from the rest.

--------------------------------xxxxLike an apple in the tree
Hiding out behind the leaves I was difficult to reach But you picked me --------------------------------- Gabriel just stared at the little stream that ran through the woods. He, unlike Giselle, left his shoes on and kept his feet away from the water. He thought about the war against Raphael. Gabriel was still worried that he chose the wrong side to fight for, knowing that there was no way that he could stand up against his brother. He believed himself to be too weak, like he was against Lucifer. Gabriel knew that was a suicide mission but he had to save Kali. Lucifer would have killed her with out hesitation.
Gabriel turned his head to look at his younger sister beside him. She was happy and her happiness seemed a bit contagious. Gabriel wondered why he never really got out and met all his other siblings, even if there were thousands. He knew who each one was, their names but never actually met them. He seemed to stick with his older brothers, which is something they did too, well until Lucifer betrayed Michael and father and was cast away. That was when things sort of went down hill from there.
“So why are you out here all alone? Aren’t you afraid you’ll get killed?” Gabriel asked her, knowing that she is probably on Castiel’s side since she was with Dean Winchester earlier. “But don’t worry. No angel in their right mind would attack you with me here.” Gabriel said, his cockiness showing now.
The archangel turned his attention towards the stream again. Why Raphie wanted to destroy this world was beyond him. There were plenty of beautiful things here, planty of things that Gabriel loved. The world not ending before and Lucifer and Michael both being trapped in the cage made Gabriel think that father was still around and didn’t want this world to go as much as Gabriel did. Maybe father decided that this world, these humans were worth saving and Gabriel wanted to save them just as much. He guessed that it wouldn’t be a bad thing to have Castiel take over heaven but again, Castiel was going to have a lot of trouble defeating Raphie, the psychopath.
"Sorry, I'm a but distracted at the moment." Gabriel said truthfully.

Of course Giselle was a tad afraid of being killed. She feared Raphael, especially what he could do. However, just fearing Raphael was not enough for her to turn on Castiel. She would rather die with a clear conscience than betray a friend to live. She wouldn't be able to live with herself if she had done so. At the same time, she felt that Castiel had gotten far too protective of her. She wasn't that much younger than him even by angelic terms, and she was sure that she could take care of herself. Though if there was something that she had in common with Gabriel it was the fact that she wasn't too bad at keeping herself hidden. Though she felt that no one would have found her here. “Just taking a short break,” Giselle replied, with a smile, “and avoiding Mr. Overprotective, at the moment.” She was referring to Castiel.
That was sweet of Gabriel, even if he was sounding cocky. It wasn't very often that she didn't hesitate to talk to a sibling of hers. There was a lot going on. If Gabriel had spoken to Castiel, or Dean for that matter, it was a sure thing that he would have heard of the goings on in heaven. It wasn't a pretty thought, but it was tough to run from it. Especially for angels like themselves. Giselle did notice her big brother's pensive silence. He probably had a lot to think about. Then he'd admitted to being distracted. Giselle reacted in the best way she knew how. She leaned over towards her big brother and gave him a warm hug. She was never ashamed to give hugs to people who needed them, usually to people she knew.

--------------------------------xxxxLike an apple in the tree
Hiding out behind the leaves I was difficult to reach But you picked me --------------------------------- Gabriel let out a sigh as and he looked back down into the stream of water. Why was he here? That question still pondered in his head. He was still trying to figure out who had brought him back from the dead, who cared enough to do so. Giselle said she was taking a short break and trying to avoid Castiel. He wondered how that was going for her. It was probably easier than Gabriel’s situation. He was trying to avoid all of heaven and hell. “Just wait until your e in my position and avoiding all of heaven and hell. Avoiding Castiel is nothing.” Gabriel commented and gave a light chuckle. “Don’t worry, it will get easier. It did for me. You learn how to live like them, and once you do, you don’t want to be an angel anymore.” Gabriel replied knowing that was true with him. He loved being here on earth, living like a human, in his own way.
Gabriel smiled to her. He needed this. He needed someone to talk to and he was glad he found Giselle. Castiel, as what Dean had said, is too busy and probably wouldn’t want to spend extra time with him because Gabriel had almost killed him. Giselle had then hugged him. That was totally unexpected and Gabriel was taken by surprise. He hadn’t really hugged anyone in a while, couldn’t even remember the last person he hugged, whether it was one of his older brothers (except Raphael), or if it was father. Gabriel accepted the hug, and in return, he hugged her back. He wasn’t expecting to do that either, but Giselle was just like one of the perfect little sisters. He now wished he had spent more time with her now or even had gotten to know her.
“What’s the hug for?” Gabriel asked, not entirely understand why she was hugging him. Gabriel was anything but nice sometimes, and when it came to his situation and his siblings, the last thing he would give or expect was a hug. Gabriel had let go and he smiled to her, a smile that didn’t go with a trick or prank. It was a smile of compassion.

Giselle was very fond of Castiel. She didn't mean to send the message that she would continually avoid him. The cherub knew that Castiel usually meant well especially when he behaved in such ways. He always said that they needed more angels like her. Maybe that was why he made the effort to protect her? Perhaps she'd never know. When she pulled out of the hug with her big brother she just smiled. “You looked like you needed one,” she replied. Though she had to admit, though, that part about her would annoy a lot of people. However, she felt that there were times when people really did need a hug like that.
She smiled again. There were times that she wished she wasn't an angel, but then she would usually end up being grateful to be an angel. After all, she was in a position to be able to help the humans she had cared for. Especially since Castiel was the one handing out her orders, he had allowed her to continue to be compassionate, as that was her nature. “Don't get me wrong... he means well, and I'm quite fond of him, but he's odd sometimes,” Giselle said. Though, she couldn't blame Gabriel for wanting to get away from all the bickering. It was a family feud that had gone on for a long time. “I understand, especially with what our other siblings are up to, it's tough to associate with them, no matter how much we love them,” Giselle said, musing on what Gabriel had said before.

--------------------------------xxxxLike an apple in the tree
Hiding out behind the leaves I was difficult to reach But you picked me --------------------------------- Gabriel had smiled. Was it that obvious that the archangel was depressed, if he could call it that? He was also trying to figure out what was up with Sam Winchester, upon Dean’s request. That was going to take a lot longer than a few days. He would try to see if Sam came back okay. He figured not since he had heard that hell wasn’t a great place, from what other angels who had seen it said. Gabriel himself had never laid eyes upon hell, nor does he want to. The place can be what it wants for all he cares, and heaven can be what it wants to be as well. Whether it was Raphael running it or Castiel, Gabriel knew that something bad would happen, something else is going to rise up and try to take over and that would start another war. His siblings seemed to only know how to fight.
Gabriel smiled to Giselle through the weird stage of emotions he was in. he wished that he was still dead sometimes, that way he wouldn’t have to deal with all the shit that’s going on right now. Sooner or later he knew that Raphael would find him, after talking to Giselle, Castiel and Lilith. Raphael had spies and Gabriel knew that as well since Michael did the same thing.
Gabriel listened to Giselle talk about Castiel. She was right, he did. If Gabriel was in Castiel’s shoes he would try to stop Raphael as well. Gabriel was going to try anyway, even though he isn’t in Castiel’s shoes. “So Dean says,” Gabriel replied to her statement about Castiel being weird sometimes. Gabriel understands that as well. Castiel was basically leading a doomed army, but less doomed since Gabriel, himself was fighting on their side, in a way. “you think the civil war is bad? Just try Sunday dinner with Michael, Lucifer and Raphael. That was bad.” Gabriel laughed to her. “If Castiel makes the right choices, I believe there could be peace between our siblings.” Gabriel admitted.

Oh was it wonderful to have just a calm, and peaceful conversation with a sibling. It was a nice change, lately it seemed as if she were fighting her siblings more often than talking to them. She loved her brothers and sisters, but this whole thing made matters difficult. Of course Castiel was odd. “He would say something like that,” Giselle said with a light giggle. She knew Dean also meant well. Who besides herself was that close to Castiel that she could talk about her brother. “Dean's a good guy, I'm not surprised that Castiel is good friends with him,” Giselle said.
“I do hope he does make those choices, but at least he has some of us to help him,” Giselle said. The more she thought about her siblings fighting the more her heart hurt. It wasn't something she was happy to think about. They were family, and she understood the odd familial squabble, but this was ridiculous. “Do you think there could be peace in heaven?” she asked, it was something that pressed upon her thoughts often. She would always be on Castiel's side. “I wish we could go back to taking care of this planet, despite it being a tough job,” Giselle said, “I prefer being a little child's guardian over being a soldier.” Giselle wasn't always a soldier, she was usually guarding a human. Nowadays it seemed that she was fighting more than protecting. She was at least helping to guard Dean, that was a great consolation job.

Hiding out behind the leaves I was difficult to reach But you picked me --------------------------------- Gabriel looked at Giselle and nodded when she agreed. He too gave a small chuckle and looked at the stream once more. It was definitely a weird turn of events. Gabriel was now working with Dean and Castiel, something he wouldn’t have done before and would usually just love to be on his own, and that was new to him. He never really worked on a team, even with the demigods. They never worked together and would rather kill each other. Gabriel’s attention turned back to Giselle as she started speaking again. “Yeah, he is.” Gabriel agreed truthfully. The Winchesters were good guys. that’s why he liked them so much.
“Hard choices to make.” Gabriel said looking at the sky, well really the tree tops. He believed that Castiel could win, somehow. Raphael had to screw up some time and he believed that sometime will happen sooner or later. Gabriel shook his head at her question. No. he didn’t believe that there ever could be peace in heaven with out father. If Castiel beat Raphael, then another angel would try to rise and kill him. It was a never ending cycle of his siblings killing each other or over throwing each other. that’s why he got away. Everyone was afraid of Michael. that’s why no one has ever tried it before. He wondered what would happen if he took over…Nah. He didn’t want the job. He would like to make heaven his personal playground though. That could be fun.
“nope. You know someone would want Castiel dead if he won. Then another will kill the one who killed Cas, and again and again and again.” Gabriel said giving his own personal opinion. “honestly? I think there could only be peace if father was back, if father came back.” Gabriel added, knowing it was the truth.
“I prefer being a trickster over an archangel.” Gabriel gave a soft chuckle to her statement.

The cherub looked at the water at her feet. She was fairly deep in thought and she was really just thinking of her brother, and that Winchester that she had met in the cemetery that one time. “He'll make them,” Giselle said, “He has a certain loyalty for the people he considers friends. It's a quality that is in short supply now, but Castiel would do anything to protect those friends.” Giselle knew how much of this was true, all of it. Of course. It was a tough thing to believe that there could ever be peace in heaven. Though, the thought of someone rising up and attempting to overthrow and kill Castiel was an unbearable one. She didn't want to lose her best friend. It was something from her worst nightmares. “That's an awful thought,” Giselle replied. She knew Gabriel was right. Peace in heaven was only possible if their father was there. And only then.
Giselle also knew that if someone would attempt to kill Castiel she would be the one to stand in the way. Is that what friends did for one another? They did anything, even died for one another. “I prefer being a trickster over an archangel.” Though Giselle wasn't too surprised that Gabriel preferred being something other than an angel, he was known as the angel who had skipped out of heaven. “What's that like? Being a trickster?” Giselle asked. She was curious. Giselle had wondered what it was like to be something other than an angel. It was a certain curiosity that she had. She knew that being human looked difficult, but that was about all she knew.

Hiding out behind the leaves I was difficult to reach But you picked me --------------------------------- Gabriel had listened to her. He didn’t doubt that Castiel was loyal. Not for one moment. Gabriel wished he could say the same about himself. He was only loyal to himself and Father. Gabriel never considered himself a friend to anyone else, only because he never really got the chance to get close to someone. He always figured they would get hurt, especially with the crowd he hung out with. The Demigods weren’t exactly friendly people. Sure, they got together to discuss things but it was hard to keep order. They always wanted to kill one another and Gabriel didn’t exactly understand that.
“Sure it is, but it’s the truth, Giselle, and you know it.” Gabriel stated to her, not looking at her. He worried for Castiel but there wasn’t anything he could do about it. Castiel already made his decision and there was no turning back from it unless he surrendered to Raphael, but that wouldn’t end pretty either.
An unexpected question was asked. Gabriel smirked to her and he let out a chuckle. “Well, its fun. No rules, no nothing. Just me and the funny pranks I pull. They do have motive though.” Gabriel said with all seriousness. “All my tricks have life lessons… well most of them do anyway.”
Gabriel did have motive behind his tricks. He taught Sam and Dean not to keep dying for each other, play their roles, and other things he couldn’t quite remember. Gabriel was happy he left heaven. He couldn’t deal with the fighting and the pressure and everything else that came with that. Gabriel let out a sigh and he stood up. "thanks for the talk." was all he said then poofed.
