---------------------------- ---------------------------- Sam stopped and looked at Jess as she smacked him. His face barely moved. She was an Angel now which meant a lot of power, heck she could have snapped his neck but she didn't hit him hard enough. He stood his ground and glared at her. Sam knew if he said anything everyone would be all over him once again and that was just going to put them all back into the same situation as before. So he sighed and just walked away from Jess with no words. Nothing, he just turned his back and left her. Sam was in no mood to deal with anyone either. There was too much happening, Cas was injured, his ex was back from the dead... In a way. His brother seemed to be very emotional. Everything was hectic and it just seemed to get worse when Castiel confirmed that something was wrong with Sam.
Sam of course wanted to speak out but he bit his tongue. He had nothing good to say. He sat on his bed grabbed his chips and paid no attention to anyone. In his mind this was all a waste of time, they should be resting and then getting back to hunting! There were demons, and vampires to kill and it was important for the Winchester brothers to be out there. He popped a few chips in his mouth like nothing had ever happened. Tapping his foot a little he looked up at the ceiling. His breathing was slow and quiet. All he did was eat while everyone else talked and worried. Sam didn't need emotion there was enough in the room for everyone. It was ridiculous to him but he couldn't control people.
With a sigh he rolled over and placed an arm under his head. What was he going to do now? Everyone thought there was something wrong with him, something missing or broken. Misplaced possibly. But he didn't understand why, he felt fine, looked fine. To him he even acted fine... Most of the time anyways. He shrugged, people were crazy and dramatic and all he wanted was some quiet time to sort out his thoughts and just kind of move on with his life. Sitting here was getting everyone no where and it was rather pointless. Sam ate some more chips and continued to be quiet not wanting everyone to jump his case again. He also didn't feel like getting hit again because he really didn't want to get mad and possibly hit back. Sam just wasn't really sure what to do anymore...

When Jessica started at Sam, and was being very much assertive, Castiel was helplessly fascinated by this. Here he thought that Jess was a soft-hearted person, now angel, but she definitely had a bit of a fire to her. That was probably something unique to her and her alone. However, she seemed to be one of very few that could actually get away with telling Sam what to do. Dean's remark about how Sam and Jess made love was something of no surprise to Castiel, even if he wasn't fond of hearing such things. The older Winchester was usually inappropriate and obnoxious in such a way. There was certainly no stopping it.
Now back to Sam Winchester. Something was definitely not right here. Castiel was in serious pain, but he would keep fighting until he couldn't no more, that was just how he rolled. The seraph forced himself to his feet and approached Sam. He'd rest later, but now he needed to see what was going on. There was certainly something off, or even missing. First off the angel had no idea how the younger Winchester was even out of the box, let alone who did it. Castiel's attention was now directed at Sam Winchester. He was ignoring the throbbing pain in his side, because this was far more important.
Castiel could even sense it. There was something missing, and the angel couldn't quite put his finger on it. He was sure that he'd be able to find it. Though it probably was uncomfortable for Sam at the moment seeing as how Castiel was giving very little personal space to the man. Still concentrating Castiel placed a hand on Sam's chest, this was all at Dean's request to 'feel' to see what was wrong. The angel just leafed through different sensations, and found the absence of something essential to any human. Castiel stepped back, looking solemn, and possibly saddened. “His soul,” he began, “it's gone.”

Jessica Lee Moore heard Dean’s suggestion and was instantly curious. She was curious as to why her ex boyfriend was acting the way that he was and she was curious as to what all an angel could do. She obviously knew that since she was so ‘young’ in angel’s terms that she was going to have a lot of learning and catching up to do since she knew very little about her own powers. She was given a brief over view on what she was able and not able to do. She was taught how to fly and how to figure out where her charges were…but that was about it. She knew how to heal people but still wasn’t sure if she could heal another angel. She’d ask Castiel later when they weren’t involved in something that was as important as what they were working on at that moment.
She laughed when Dean commented on being scared of her during sex and instead of responding she simply smirked and winked at Dean, knowing it’d piss Sam off and not caring. She had a feeling that whoever had chosen for her to be an angel had made the wrong decision. She had never been miss innocent and she wasn’t going to start now. Sure she was a good girl at heart, but at the same time she had never been one to play by the rules and this was no exception.
Jess looked confused for a brief moment about the Paris Hilton comment but then decided after a few seconds that she really didn’t want to know. She raised her hand up before anyone could even think of explaining that one to her and shook her head. “I don’t even want to know. I’ll lose a lot of respect for all of you if you tell me that you actually got beat up by Paris Hilton and that wasn’t some funky dream…so please…I’m begging you…don’t tell me.” She stated with a shiver.
Her attention turned to Castiel as she watched him adhere to Dean’s request. She was surprised that he could do what he was but was slightly afraid when she said the look pass over his features when he finally stopped. She heard him say that his soul was gone and for a moment she thought she would faint. “WHAT?!” She cried outraged, not even knowing that a human could live without a soul let alone walk around and function without one. “How…is…that…possible!?” She asked, not even looking her ex in the face.
She needed answers, she needed…something. She made it her mission, then and there, she’d find out what happened to his soul and she’d get it back…even if it was the last thing she did.
Again.

- - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - Dean watched as Jess winked at him knowing she thought what he said was funny, when Dean first met her he knew she seemed like the type that would enjoy his sense of humor. Dean was happy she was back, it meant he would get to know her a bit more. It what he would have liked to have done before she died, it was nice for them to have been giving a second chance. Jess then said something about hoping he didn’t really get beat up by Paris Hilton, “ um.. don’t worry about it an inside joke jess, and it was Paris Hilton it was a Leshii a pagan god thank you very much! ” Dean said in embarrassing tone in his voice. Dean was still embarrassed about that happening to him, he was still to this day trying to forget about it.
“No soul what! Oh that is just great Cass!” Out of everything Dean had heard lately this shocked him the most of all, Dean never saw this coming. Sam with out a soul how was this even physically possible, how did Sam come back with out a soul! Who and what would bring him back like that, Dean knew now that was why Sam was being that way. He literally was a soulless person, this made everything make more sense for Dean now. That’s why it seemed like Sam didn’t sleep or eat much, and he just seemed way to in uncaring towards people. That wasn’t like Sam at all to not feel anything for anyone, most the time Sam was the more emotional one then Dean was. But not these days anymore, was this even Sam anymore.
Now the one thing they all needed to focus on was getting it back, the question was how? How do get and give some what there fucking soul back anyway, Dean has done a lot in his time of being a hunter. But it was never to find and give back a human soul. Dean didn’t know what the hell to do, he felt so lost and didn’t have a clue on what to do. Dean then walked over in front of Sam and said, “no soul huh why didn’t you tell me, I mean did you even fucking know! You might not even be my brother!” Dean then walked away from Sam he couldn’t even look at him right now.
Dean then walked back over to Jess, he looked at her and said with tears in his eyes as he hugged her “I don’t know what hell we are going to do now, I think we have lost Sam. I can see him here with me and I still don’t have him back, this is like torture!” Dean then let up from the hug and was now just standing there, lost on what the hell to even do next. Dean didn’t know were to begin on getting Sam’s soul back.

---------------------------- ---------------------------- Sam watched out of the corner of his eye as Castiel came close to him examining him, it made him very uncomfortable. Getting looked into by an Angel was odd in his mind. Sam didn't really like it but he laid there still as still could be, he wasn't even eating anymore he just kind of laid there like he was dead. Castiel had spoken than and said that his soul was missing. Sam sat up rather quickly. "Is that even possible? I think your injury has gone to your head Cass." Sam snapped at Castiel. It wasn't even his fault he was just trying to help and Sam was being an ass to him, to everyone. He really was soulless he cared for no one and for nothing. He didn't bother to eat much or really sleep at all. It really was like he was just a walking corpse. But was that really possible, Sam knew demons and other creatures could live without a soul but could a human really live without one? He never read anything on that. It was all very shocking news.
He sat up and leaned against the back board to the bed. Jess than spoke up and he looked at her without moving his head. The look on her face was in terror. It seemed no one could believe this as well. There needed to be answers somewhere. A library maybe. Maybe Bobby would know? Many things ran through Sam's mind. What he needed now was to get away. He couldn't be around anyone right now, especially with the way these three in the room were looking at him, or not looking at him. It was unbearable and well just standing here wasn't going to help. They were not going to magically get answers this way and well Sam NEEDED answers. He needed the logical answers that came from books. Anything to help would be just great right now. Maybe he could find a way to get it back, if that was even possible... Where could his soul even be trapped? Why didn't it come back with him? So many unanswered questions. It was killing him not knowing, that was something he was good at. Sam always knew, and if he didn't he found out quickly with research. That was Sam's contribution to the hunting team, other than killing demons and creatures.
Dean than walked over to him and practically yelled at him. That was sure going to help everything. "Oh yes Dean of course I knew I was Fucking soulless! Of course I knew humans could walk around soulless like an empty fucking corpse!" Sam snapped back at him. Right now the sights of Dean pissed him off. How could he just accuse Sam of something like that. How the hell was he suppose to know any of this, oh on earth was he suppose to know humans could do this! He stood up looking at Dean... No glaring at Dean. "Typical Dean... No obviously I am not your brother I am some creature out to destroy you. Which is why I obviously haven't killed you because you know I'm not your brother." Sam was now mocking him, his temper was up and he was ready to just hit the road soulless or not. "Your suppose to be my brother, how could you even go there? What is wrong with you Dean? Huh? How the fuck am I suppose to know I didn't have a soul, how the hell was I even suppose to know humans could walk the earth without a soul? Huh? Tell me Dean how am I suppose to fucking know all this!?" Sam waved his arms like he was waving off his brother. Furious he headed for the door. Sam was not going to just stand here and take Dean's crap. He didn't have the patience for this kind of stuff, it's not like they were soulless so they couldn't possibly understand. Sam was going to find answers without them! Without Dean...

Jessica Lee Moore was surprised at the outburst of emotion pouring out of Dean when the reality hit him of Sam’s condition. She had no idea that humans could even live without their souls and it was something she could have honestly gone her entire life without knowing. How the hell could the angels who had granted her wish and turned her into an angel herself take someone from the dead, raise them back to the living…but leave them without a soul? That was too much for her to handle and for a moment she felt like she could be sick even though she had no idea if that was physically possible for an angel to do. She guessed it was since she could technically eat though she had no desire to…though at the moment she had an almost emotional physical craving for a large piece of chocolate.
Chocolate solved everything…though she didn’t think it would give Sam his SOUL back! Maybe…no…not even chocolate was that powerful.
Jess hugged Dean closely to her, knowing that he was going through a lot in finding that his brother had no soul. Though she did think he was over reacting a tad bit because in all actuality from what she could understand and the fact that Castiel hadn’t killed him on sight yet or anything that it meant that even though he had no soul, he was still him. He wasn’t a demon harboring himself in Sam’s body…he was Sam…just without a soul or a conscious. She knew that it was a dangerous thing not to have those parts of a person but at the same time obviously he wasn’t evil…just…a loose cannon.
Which I guess could go either way if you thought about it. It could be less dangerous or more dangerous…depending on the situation. She prayed she didn’t have to find out which category the whole Sam not having a soul fell into…she really didn’t want to have to see anyone get hurt.
She couldn’t handle that. Not again. Not after everything she’d gone through with her death and afterward.
Jess jumped when she heard Sam scream again and she wanted to bang her head into the wall. Seriously, could the man not shut up for five seconds so she could think? She needed answers, she needed to find out more. Where did a soul go when someone died? She knew that in all actuality it went to heaven and hell which meant that since Sam had been in hell and been raised from it (which she hadn’t known when she requested him to be brought back) that his soul was still in hell?! That made things a lot more complicated.
She needed to find someone who knew answers…and she needed them now.
Jess glared at Sam. “Dude, shut up for a minute, okay? Thanks. Bye.” She told him with a roll of the eyes, something she had always said when they had been dating was if she wanted something she’d ask it and then say something along the lines of ‘okay? Thanks Bye.’ It was just something she had always done.
“I’m going to get answers. I don’t know what you all are doing but I don’t know nearly enough to figure this out and since Castiel is injured we obviously cannot let him go flying around the universe attempting to find out answers. I’ll contact everyone when I find anything else out. If anyone needs me then…I don’t know…find me I guess. I’ll check in. Bye.” She simply stated before flying out of the room.
Jess would gets Sam’s soul back…even if she had to tear apart heaven and hell both to do so.
