- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She groaned when she realized that there was something mystical going on. At first she had just assumed that this group of vampires had been traveling here…but that was clearly not the case. Obviously not this many people had died recently in Mystic Falls or surrounding counties as she did make sure to keep herself updated on the deaths around, and obviously vampires didn’t travel in families this large…so something was up. She knew from experience that vampires did tend to travel in groups, families, whatever you wanted to call them, but not in a group this large. Vampires are competitive and dangerous by nature, they would kill their own just as soon as they would kill a human…so too many of them in one place is dangerous for everyone involved. Usually vampires tended to travel in groups of between 2-5…sometimes more and sometimes less. It just depended.
However this was a group of at least 30 and she swore that she’d killed the same one at least three times. She had a feeling that these vampires were simply reincarnating themselves somehow or someone was reincarnating them…whatever it was the entire group was quickly tiring out. She groaned when she was flung into a headstone and winced as it shattered beneath her. She kicked herself up and immediately got back into a fighting stance, jumping up and staking two of them at the same time. She flipped over and staked one that was going near Dawn before throwing her stake at one who had approached Willow from the back. She knew Willow was using magic to kill them and she was okay with that, as long as it got them gone.
She heard a man’s voice shouting out to shield their eyes and she did on instinct, though she didn’t close them, just looked away. However morbid curiosity told her to look so she did. It was bright, but not bright enough to where she couldn’t look at it. She was shocked when she saw the man in the middle pulsing out the energy. It was then that she learned that he was a witch…well…warlock would be the correct term but it didn’t matter at that moment. She was shocked at what he was able to do, but she could tell just by the look on his face that it was quickly draining him. She looked over to AJ who was using another vampire as a shield and she smirked to herself…he had apparently forgotten that he had a daylight ring on.
When the spell lifted there was only a handful of vampires left…and she had a feeling these were the real ones. She saw AJ dust two and she took care of the other three. She motioned to Dawn and Willow to come on and she ran over to where AJ was trying to help the warlock stand up. “Is he alright?” She asked, hoping he hadn’t seriously hurt himself in trying to save everyone. She took a good look at him and realized that he was still breathing, something she sighed in relief once she noticed.
She also took in his physical appearance. He was younger than her, though not by much with the way he looked. He looked tall, though he wasn’t standing so she couldn’t tell exactly. She turned her attention to her best friend and her sister, quickly making sure they were both okay. She couldn’t tell if they had any scratches or bruises in the dark but they were both walking so she assumed they were both physically alright…though she would ask later if she was correct.

It was a powerful spell and she wanted to know where Willow had learned that one. After the light went out Dawn looked to Willow but noticed she wasn't the one who cast the spell. Slightly confused she looked over at Chase who seemed to weak, that only meant that he had cast it. This idea really shocked Dawn. She had no idea he was a warlock. than again she didn't really know much about him in the first place, other than he was single, had a daughter, and was really sweet. Dawn took in a breath trying to get her thoughts straight.
Looking around everyone seemed to be fine, she was sure they all had some cuts and bruises but nothing too serious since they were all walking. With that she took off over to Chase to see if he was ok. It did hurt a little for her to walk since she had been thrown against a tomb stone but it wasn't anything she couldn't handle. getting over to him she looked at him. "Well that was impressive." she gave him a small smile. It was the only thing she could think of to say. It was probably dumb but Dawn wasn't too great at talking to guys she liked. It didn't help that she had found out he was a warlock and that he now knew she was part of the supernatural world. Thinking on that for a moment she let out a soft sigh. Dawn now had to explain herself and why she really there because it was obvious that she wasn't there on vacation. Of course she would do it later when he was back to his normal self and they were all out of harms way.
"So what was that? How did they keep coming back like that?" Dawn asking Buffy, she knew there was some sort of magic going on but she just didn't know why or how. It made her think about how this town was crawling with vampires could this magic be the reason behind it all? Who was behind it than. There were so many questions to be answered which only meant that the gang would have to do so much more research and data gathering. It was going to be a long night and soon to be day for everyone.
Dawn slowly took a seat on a tomb stone that was next to everyone, she was tired and a bit sore, not to mention confused but that was a different matter that would be taken care of later. Right now she just needed to focus on making sure everyone was ok and what on earth was the cause of the magic vampire attack. As she sat there a thick fog began to fall over the cemetery floor. the cemetery was always a creepy place to be and to add the fog just made it that much more worse. Even though the vampires were gone at least seemed to be gone Dawn couldn't help but feel as if they were being watched. Looking around she didn't see anyone or anything that might be lurking in the dark but that still didn't mean they were not in the cemetery hiding.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Willow was trying to keep up in the fight as the Vampires that kept coming and coming, Willow continued to use magic on them taking them out one by one. Willow was actually staring to get tired she didn’t know how much longer she would be able to keep it up. Willow could see Buffy and Dawn still giving the fight there all, even the two guys that she didn’t even know were doing good as well. They didn’t seem like they didn’t need help at all, it seemed like they have done this more then once. Maybe Buffy had other people she patrolled with now, well that make me sad Willow thought to herself. But Willow was happy to know that Buffy did have other friends that she hung out with, Willow could get a bit boring at times with all her magic obsessions. Willow then heard the other man that wasn’t a Vampire, tell everyone to shut there eyes. Willow was very curious to know why, but she didn’t want to lost her eyes in the process, it might be smart to listen to him. Willow knew she could trust him, anyone that Buffy trusts was enough for Willow to go by. Willow then remember a spell that she could use that would protect her eyes, so she could maybe get a glimpse of what he was about to do. Willow then said “protect oculi!” just loud enough that only she could hear it, she didn’t want to freak anyone with what she was doing. As she watched she saw him use a ball of light that took out everything that was in it’s path, Willow had her mouth dropped in shock, “Man this guy is good!” Willow said to herself. She was happy to she another person that not only did magic, but knew what they were doing as well. Willow knew this guy was good, hell if she wasn’t gay this would be the guy she would go for. Willow then saw him drop to the ground, Willow knew right away what was wrong. The magic was so powerful that he had drained himself, Willow then ran over to see what she could maybe do to help. Willow looked at him on the ground and said “Hey that was awesome, but you look like you could use some help. If you need to barrow some energy from me you can” Willow said worried about whether he was ok. Willow was right there with Dawn, wanting to know how they kept on coming, she asked Buffy “Yeah Buffy why did they keep coming like that?” Word Count- 415 Tagged- Dawn and Buffy Outfit-Click here for Willow's outfitNote- I'm loving chase and AJ guys they rock. ~~~~~~~~~~~
- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -He smiled at AJ in thanks, though he could feel his energy coming back to him. He knew that AJ was protective over him, even when he did stupid things that got him hurt that were technically his own fault. He knew that AJ would kill for him and it was something that he tried not to think about too much as it tended to worry him. He knew that AJ was a strong vampire, especially given his age was more than most vampires lived. People said that vampires were immortal, but in reality no one in this world was truly immortal. Sure vampires didn’t age nor could they die from a simple gun shot or of cancer or anything else that was human…but they were not immortal.
Sunlight could kill vampires quicker than anything. One time getting too drunk to remember to get inside and they were dust. One time of thinking that maybe, just maybe, it was worth going out too close to sunrise to get that last person’s blood and they went poof into ashes. Most vampires didn’t live past 100…and those who did very rarely made it to 200. AJ was over 500 years old meaning that he was ridiculously strong and wise…though he tended not to act like it. This also meant that he knew how to kill people without making a scene and that worried him more than he cared to admit sometimes.
He heard people around him comment on his impressive bit of magic but he didn’t even care to think about it. He just wanted to get home and get some sleep to be honest, though he knew it wasn’t time for that yet. He wanted to make sure everyone else was okay, though in reality he knew that AJ was alright and the only other person he knew was Dawn. He wasn’t sure why but he was protective over the brunette girl so he looked over to her and smiled sheepishly. “Are you alright?” He asked her, trying to stand up straighter. He didn’t like feeling weak like this, which was the reason he didn’t allow himself to do large spells like that without practicing first. He was out of shape magic wise as he hadn’t needed to perform any large spells and had been helping Lilly-Anne with her magic more than practicing his own.
He heard the red head say something and he looked over at her and smiled, shaking her head a bit. “I’ll be fine. I just need to make sure to practice a bit more before attempting to do that again.” He stated with a laugh. He finally felt his full energy come back, though he was still sluggish. He looked at AJ for a moment. “You are on Lilly-Anne duty in the morning, just letting you know. I’m sleeping in.” He told him before heading over to Dawn. “So, you fight vampires huh?” He asked with a crooked smile.
"Give him some room Buff!" AJ said waving his hand back a bit, not to push her away but to kind of ward off the crowd. He did not know these people, in fact he only knew Chase and Buffy, so what the hell. He knew they were... human well knew they were not vampires but, dude... give the man some space. He does not need a lot but crap! AJ could handle it. Chase was his buddy, he'd be alright if everyone stopped jumping on his ass... not that they were or anything. But AJ just needed some space he was still feeling the hype from the fight, so he needed space to relax a moment before he killed Innocent people. AJ was a vampire after all, and not all of his was 'good', though that part was locked away and controlled.... unless in these situation. Then things get kind of ugly. It's the only real time he can let his demons out of the closet without hurting anyone. Well not hurting anyone that's not already trying to hurt him.
Another witch came running over to Chase, and AJ rolled his eyes. "Ay... back up the hell up. He dose not need your energy." AJ said making it sound a lot ruder then he originally intended for it to sound. He got this. He could take care of Chase just fine. He's done it before he'll do it again. Everyone just needed to back up. Really. AJ was still trying to come down from the fight. It was not just something he could turn off. He needed to fixate and really work on it. AJ was a vampire, it's not like he had a soul or anything, so the demon still tried to run free, and it just might if he did not get the space he wanted. Dang it was not that hard. Of curse he'd never hurt Chase or Lilly-Anne or Buffy or anyone, but the other two girls... well for all he knew they were evil. Even if they were will Buffy. AJ was not the best guy to chill with, and she was dating a vampire. So... who knows what the other girls could do or would do.
Oh well shit. He just told one of the girls off, and Chase knew the other one. Well he feels like a dunce. Dang deamon vampire whatever it is he has. Freaking ay!! Ah well he'd apologies later....maybe. If he liked them enough. They were all pretty good looking people, so they did deserve a little respect... the gifted should be treated as such. Man this was a good looking group of people. Of course with AJ being their the group looked all the better. AJ kept thinking just blowing his head up a little more. Maybe that's what kept his demon away. His head was so big the demon got lost in it. Who knows, but whatever it was it worked so AJ kept doing it, and the result, Asshole! But it worked he was nice enough.
Lilly-Anne duty was he? They would have to see about that. AJ had his ways to get outta it if he really wanted to. A little something called candy. Give a little to Lilly-Anne and set her lose. Or just talk about Chase a lot, and after a while Lilly-Anne will naturally want her daddy... and what she want's she gets. So sure. Lilly-Anne duty. He'd take her for a while, and see where it goes. When Chase turned to go talk to the little girl he seemed to know, AJ wrinkled his face up a bit and mouthed the what Chase had just said. He was making fun of Chase really. But it was all in good fun. It always was.
AJ still seemed to be oblivious to his day light ring. It was still such a new concept. When your walking the earth for 500 years avoiding the sun, it's going to take at least another 100 to get used to being it in. Can't blame him for trying to protect himself. And shoot he did not know what the hell that was. It could have been anything really. So dang! But still AJ would have liked a little warning, dummy. So AJ just flicked Chase in the back of his head, mumbling something about trying to kill him or something along those lines. It was no more then a mumble, and AJ himself was not all too sure what he said. But now they were even. Chase tried to kill AJ, and AJ bopped him. worked... but anyway.... back to the WTF at hand.
"Don't think I did not see you break that headstone. RUDE!" AJ said, moving out of the circle thing that they had going on. "Your gonna fix that right?" He asked with a smirk. He of course was just fucking with Buffy, but that was the fun of it. Fucking with Buffy was, or is one of AJ's favorite pastimes. "I mean really. One minute it's all pretty chilling there, looking a hot mess, or just old, and then you come along, and you have to get pushed into it. I mean Dang the poor person is twisting in her...erm...his coffin. It's unacceptable Buffy." AJ said his hands clasped behind his back as he walked more towards the broken headstone she was pushed into. It's not that AJ did not cause his own little destruction, but still. AJ was picking on Buffy. Not that he was looking to fight her or anything, it was all being said as a joke. Though someone who was not AJ, Buffy or Chase might not see what AJ was saying as harmless.
((Bahaha...I had no idea it was the sun... or whatever. I just figured it was a spell to kill vampires... even know AJ was one.. so I was like AHHHHH but then after I posted I realized it was something like the sun and AJ had the ring (though I keep forgetting about it cuz well it's a VD thing, and I have yet to watch it). And yeah.... Chase just got bopped in the head. TAKE THAT butt head. hehe. I think Buffy and AJ should go battle. It would be a fun battle and all.. but AJ would have to let Buffy win. He could not hurt her pretty little face. hehe))
- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She rolled her eyes at AJ. He was a bit ridiculous about this Chase guy (she remembered his name from the other day when he told her about him and Lilly-Anne). It was obvious to her that AJ cared about Chase in almost an unhealthy way (she wasn’t stupid, she knew AJ would be with Chase if Chase was at all gay…but he was most definitely straight…just look at him…the way he dressed…the way he walked (yes, she had seen a bit of thins as she had been fighting)…the way he looked at AJ as if he was a brother or at least a very best friend…and of course the way he was making eyes at her sister.)
The last thought gave her a start but she ignored it. Dawn wasn’t a little kid anymore. She was legally an adult and free to make her own decisions. As long as she wasn’t going around making out with vampires she would be alright. She knew it was a bit hypocritical of the thoughts that were spewing around her mind but she couldn’t help it. Dawn was her sister, whether she had always been there or not…and she didn’t want her making her mistakes.
She knew that everyone made mistakes, Buffy was not an idiot and she had learned the hard way that no one was perfect. But as Dawn’s older sister she had the intense need to make sure that Dawn didn’t repeat her mistakes. She felt horrible calling her relationship with Angel (and with Spike for that matter) a mistake…but in all actuality a lot of people had gotten hurt because of it. She wouldn’t trade her time with Angel for anything, and she would love him until the day that she died…her final death…but in all actuality they had broken a lot of rules in order to be together and in the end a lot of people had gotten hurt.
It was one of the main reasons that she didn’t want her sister repeating her mistakes, and knowing that this guy, while obviously a witch (warlock, whatever) was still a supernatural based person, he still seemed like a decent guy (he had just exhausted himself to stop a large fight that was quickly tiring everyone out) and he was headed over to her sister, seemingly looking as if he’s making sure she was alright. She quickly checked her sister out once more, making sure she didn’t see anything wrong with her before turning away from the couple. She wouldn’t invade on their privacy…though she would be grilling Dawn for details later (she had to live vicariously through someone didn’t she?)
It finally registered to her that AJ had made a rude comment to Willow and she slapped his arm gently. “Behave, this is my best friend Willow. Willow this is AJ, a friend of mine from Hemery.” She told both the vampire and the witch, hoping they would both get along with each other. She wasn’t worried about Willow, as she usually got along with pretty much everyone…but AJ…yeah…not so much.
She rolled her eyes at her friend’s teasing. He was a big kid at heart, which she knew was one of the reasons they got along so well as she tended to behave like his mom…or his baby sitter…really it all depended on the day with the two of them… “Be lucky I broke the headstone and not your face pretty boy.” She told him and leaned over to mess up his hair, though knowing him as well as she did she knew she’d never even reach his hair before he flipped out.
He still seemed to be hyped up on the fight so she didn't take it personal and well she didn't even know him so it did not bother her. Dawn let off a small huff as she gathered all her hair up and put it into a messy bun just so it would stay out of her face. Her hair seemed to be all over the place which was to be expected since she was just fighting and getting tossed around a little but hey it's all good. Looking down she noticed how bad she looked, covered in dirt and some blood probably her own but it was still there. Looked like she would be up for a while scrubbing these clothes.
Looking up she noticed Chase walking over to her and she smiled, she couldn't help but smile. He was cute and he had worried about her when she got hurt. Chase was a sweet guy and he could be a bit of a dork as she noticed the first time she had met him but that only made him cuter in Dawn's eyes. She noticed that her sister was giving them the eye as he made his way to her. This made Dawn laugh a little. Even though Dawn was an adult now, legally anyways Buffy still watched over her. Sometimes babied her but she was her older sister and it was her job whether she liked it or not. Dawn was glad to have a sister like her though, one who took her own life for their sister along with saving the world all because of what she was. Dawn really couldn't have asked for someone better. Dawn smiled at Buffy even though it didn't look as if she was paying attention any longer which was ok, it just meant that Dawn was allowed to talk to Chase in private... Kind of.
Looking to Chase when he spoke. Dawn couldn't help but give a somewhat nervous laugh. Her secret was out of the bag and she felt pretty bad actually... Dawn had pretty much lied to him the first day they met how was that a good impression. She just hoped he would understand once she explained things to him... Well at least tried to explain things to him. There was a lot she was not allowed to give out and if she did well Buffy would probably kill her. That or lock her up, either way she didn't want to piss her sister off. Taking a breath she began to talk.
"Yes... Well sort of." Dawn's part in the whole gang was a little confusing. She had no set task. Buffy was the fighter, Willow the magic, Giles the research expert a long with a few others in the gang. Dawn how ever kind of contributed to it all, as much as she could... Well as much as she was allowed to. She was younger back then so there wasn't much she really could do but now that she was older things seemed to be getting better and she was starting to get an actual role in the gang but not yet. "So your a warlock huh?" she smiled as she scooted over so Chase could sit next to her if he wanted. She was also trying to change the subject. She was quit ready to spill the beans. Dawn still needed to figure out the right words and everything. Talking to boys was just not her thing. Of course she never really dated and the maybe one time she did he was a vampire who tried to turn her so that didn't end well.
Looking to the ground she put her hands in her lap "So it's safe to say I'm not here on vacation... Which I am sure was a little obvious." Mystic Falls was no place for vacationing, sure they had some cool historical sites but that was about it. This kind of place was maybe a nice stay for a couple of days but not a whole vacation. Dawn began to get really nervous, she really didn't want Chase to be mad at her for lying. She did because she had to but still she felt awful about it. Guess she would see after they talked things out and gave some explanations well it would be more of her explaining herself but still.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Willow watched as the dark hair Vamp helped him up, who wasn’t really a bad looking guy ether, for vampire that is. Willow was still a bit worried about the warlock still he seemed weaker then he was letting on. But Willow understood him, she was one who like to do things on her own too, so she didn’t blame him. “Well I’m glad you are ok, just try and take it easy ok. Again that was so amazing I mean you saved us all! I mean WOW!” Willow was so happy to see another witch that had talent, there weren’t many around anymore. Willow wondered how did Dawn know him? Willow then walked over and whispered in Dawn’s ear, “Hey how you know this guy, he is so cute you have my permissions to date him.” Willow gigged with Dawn after telling her that. Willow could tell that Buffy seemed to be close with this AJ guy, he did seem ok for a vampire and someone that they could trust. Willow then walked next to Buffy as she was talking to the vampire and said “Hi I’m Willow, that was some impressive fighting by the way, I’m sorry if my spell bugged you I was trying to lead you a hand.” Willow was just trying to help Buffy’s friend in need, but she knew that sometimes her magic can get annoying to some people. After Willow said that she kind of back off, she could tell that he seemed like that type that if he didn’t know you, he didn’t like you, Which Willow respected and understood some people you just cant trust these days. Willow then wondered over to find her magic book that she had dropped on the ground when they were fighting, “were the heck did that thing go anyway? Oh there it is!” Willow said as she picked it up off of the ground and brushed the dirt off of it, she really loved that magic book it was Tara’s. Then she passed it down to Willow, so she really tries to take care of it, it would kill her if something happen to it at all. Willow then leaded back up and brushed some of the dirt off of her, and headed back over to Buffy and asked “so Buff what now? Home?” Willow was going to lie she was tired, her bed sound pretty nice right about now. - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -He smiled down at the young girl who was quickly making her way into a lot of his thoughts. He had never really felt like this for anyone before. No one really ever made him feel like this and it was that thought that drew him to her even more. He knew he sounded like a big old girl right now but he couldn’t help it. There was something about this girl that drew him to her and he wouldn’t fight it…he didn’t think he could if he tried. He had tried not to think about her since the moment he left the coffee house but it was in vain. He could feel eyes watching them but he didn’t bother, instead smiling his crooked smile at the brunette.
He could almost feel her fear and he wondered at it. She looked nervous and guilty…and that’s when he remembered their conversation in the coffee house. It wasn’t like he forgot about it…that was impossible. However he realized that she was worry about having lied to him. That made her all the more endearing to him on some level because she was actually worried about having lied. From the looks of things she knew how to fight and so did those around her (the blonde girl was badass and would definitely be getting some props on her moves when he wasn’t so enamored with the brunette) which meant they had been doing this for awhile. He had a feeling that she was used to lying to those around her and the fact that she cared that she lied to him made him want to either kiss her silly, pinch her cheek, or give her a tight squeeze. He wasn’t sure which one he wanted to do at the moment…he’d figure it out when his brain caught up with him.
“Sort of?” He teased, his smile playful and his eyes sparkling in the dim moonlight. “You either fight them or you don’t…though I would hope most people would chose the earlier option or else they probably won’t be given the opportunity again…but that’s beside the point.” He rambled on and shook his head. “Yes, I’m aware that I’m not very smooth tonight. I’m tired…forgive my lack of cool factor at the moment.” He stated, rolling his eyes at himself.
“Yeah, I’m a warlock, and by the way thank you for knowing the actual term. I usually either get called a witch or a man witch…and no one tends to think it’s funny when I ask if they want peanut butter and jelly on their manwich. Yeah, people apparently people don’t get my sense of humor.” He stated with a shrug. He cringed at how lame he was tonight and knew that AJ would be giving him shit about this for hours before he was finally able to go to sleep.
He sighed and looked up, not realizing exactly when he had lowered his head. He saw a piece of Dawn’s hair fall into her face and he reached out, tucking it back behind her ear almost instinctively. “It’s okay you know…I’m not mad. I understand having to keep secrets because of your supernatural activities.” He told her, smiling. He opened his mouth to say something else but was interrupted by his cell phone vibrating against his leg. He held up a finger, motioning for one second and answered his phone. His brother was on the other line stating that Lilly-Anne had woken up from a nightmare and she wouldn’t calm down until he got home. He sighed as he hung up and stood, looking at the group.
“Sorry to cut and run but I have to go. My daughter had a nightmare so I gotta head home. Listen, can we all meet up somewhere tomorrow and have a talk about everything? It may be easier to explain everything at once than trying to do it person by person.” He asked, before nodding at Dawn. “You have my cell number, call or text me when you guys are free and him and I.” He pointed to AJ “Will be there.” He told them before pocketing his cell phone and taking off towards the end of the cemetery towards his house.
Guess the graveyard dirt he needed for the protection spell would have to wait another day.

"Ouch! What the fuck Buff?!" Aj said rubbing his arm lightly. No it really did not hurt but he was going to play it up anyway. It was a skill. Playing up crap that really should not be played up. But he'd do it for the attention. Go home cry it off kind of deal...only well not. "Man I did not know who this chick was. Shoot...where did you find her anyway? Not that she's not... good enough or anything...But really buff." AJ said not bothering to say anything more to the girl. He looked to her and did one of those nods in greetings. But Buffy was better looking.. so naturally he'd look to her more. And well he knew Buffy, always hanging with the in crowd, but this chick did not .act as if she was in the in crowd, in fact she rubbed off as a geek. Which was...strange to say the least. But they were friends, and the chick had potential to be apart of his collection. AJ did not like new people, they were.. well he'd rather stick to whom he knows. He did not live this long by making friends did he? Of course he did not make enemies either.
"Ohh.... Baby got jokes does she?" Aj said picking up one of the pieces of the broken head stone, and weighing it in her hand lightly. His back was still to Buffy, as he looked at the broken pieces. Battle time. Oh yes... EPIC battle time. It was like when they used to have battles when they were younger, of course he always let her win, and that would be no different now. But then again she did not slayer strength now..soo he'd go a little harder on her. But still he could not mess up her pretty little face.
But he could feel someone reaching for him. Oh she was going for his hair was she? Oh that's funny. Big girl got even more jokes. This is rich. He quickly turned around grabbing her by her wrist, inches from his head. "You funny." AJ said his eyes narrowed a little, the rock in his hand, he tossed behind him, hitting another headstone leaving a little dent in it at best. "You know better then to touch the merchandise!" AJ said removing her hand from the air, and moving it down from his head. "No touchie Lady!" He said, her wrist still in his hand. His other free hand was used to touch his pointer finger to her nose when he spoke. "No go run along and play with your widdle friends." He said with a smile. It was ON! BRING ITTTTT!! This was going to be fun. Battling with Buffy was always a good time. But now that he did not have to hold back as much might make it all the more fun, for him at least. Now let the battle begin. Or he hoped it would. If not... he'd go pick a fight with Lilly-Anne later. She'd battle him. She'd always win, but she was always up for a battle. If he did not know any better he'd say she was a little slayer. (Oh course he did know better, but he'd take that fact to the grave.)
As he stood there ready for battle he herd a ring tone he knew well. He stopped and looking to Chase as he said his bit and went to leave. "Aww... no epic battle!" AJ said more to himself. "Guess this will have to wait until next time." Aj said looking back to Buffy. He smiled and then moved in and gave her a nice big kiss, just like back in the day when he was teaching her how to kiss a guy, among other things. He pulled away after a moment or two. "Love you bye!" AJ said quickly, before well running off after Chase. He was not going to miss this. Lilly-Anne may need Chase but, Chase needed AJ. So off he went.

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She rolled her eyes at her gay best friend. She couldn’t help but want to do a happy dance at that thought. She hadn’t been able to think or say her gay best friend in several years and it had just occurred to her how much she had truly missed him. She had felt lost when she first moved to Sunnydale not only because she was at a new place with new people and no father…but also because AJ hadn’t been there to keep her smiling. He wasn’t one that she could ever really cry on his shoulder because emotions freaked him out, but he was one who could always make her laugh when she needed it. Though she missed him a lot when she first moved, it all sort of fell through her mind after everything that happened when she first started at Sunnydale High School (meeting Willow, Xander and Giles, preventing the Harvest, the master, Angel, etc.) She knew there had been something missing for a while but she didn’t realize what it was until they had run into each other the other day. She adored her friend and was glad that he was back in her life for the time being.
She could tell by the look on AJ’s face that a head nod was all Willow was going to get from him. He had never dealt with change well and had never really been one to open up to new people. She knew now that a part of that was because he was a vampire and could never stay in one place for more than a few years because of the whole never aging thing…but she also had a large feeling that it was just his personality as a whole as well. AJ was a definite individual character in all aspects of his personality…and that was exactly how she liked it.
She smirked when AJ freaked out about his hair. She knew he would do it. She could feel that he was trying to hold back his strength when he grabbed her wrist and she rolled her eyes. It was a sweet gesture but completely unnecessary. She could kick his ass in a New York minute and would delight in doing so later. However her thoughts were distracted by her sister and AJ’s friend making googly eyes at each other…that was definitely something she wasn’t sure how she felt about.
Her thoughts were broken when she felt AJ’s lips against hers and she smiled, allowing it before waving as he retreated after Chase. Chase’s words sank into her conscious mind then and she looked at Dawn. “I say we invite them over tomorrow and we can all talk then. However I’m definitely done for tonight, let’s head home.” She told them, pretending that she hadn’t just kissed a vampire (a vampire who was gay and they had no idea that she knew him…but what fun was it if she just explained it without them asking?). There was no fun in that at all so she would definitely wait until they asked her why she had been kissing the dark headed vampire.
Until then, she’d simply grin her silly grin and head back home. She was tired and could use a nice long shower before bed.

She wasn't feeling as bad now. She would feel much better once she got to really explain everything to him the next time she saw him. Dawn laughed a little he was teasing her. It was a nice way to lighten up the mood after battling. "Ok so yes I do fight vampires. It is better than the alternative." she laughed a little. She wasn't the smoothest person either... Well she never was so it really wasn't anything new. Dawn was actually very clumsy and talking to guys wasn't her strong suit. Especially ones she liked.
"Your welcome. I have done my research... Plus I dabble in a little bit of magic, not nearly enough, or nearly as good as you or my friend Willow... It was just kind of a phase one time but I mean I still know some." Dawn was babbling once again. Typical Dawn... Her sister was probably going to make fun of her, or interrogate her possibly try to give her dating tips... Maybe all three... That would be a fun time for Dawn... Awkward because she knows that Buffy still tends to see her as her 'little' sister. She understands but still. Dawn was going to try to avoid any boy talk conversations with her sister the best she can. She didn't even want to talk to Willow about it. Dawn never dates so it would be weird that she has a crush on a man. It doesn't help that his best friend happens to be my sisters best friend type person as well. At least that is how it would seem from where she was sitting.
Chase's phone rang which got Dawn to stop talking. He had to go, his daughter needed him. She stood up "By Chase. Till next time." Dawn waved at him. she could have hugged him or kissed him or something but everyone was watching and it was weird for her. Dawn was blushing slightly but it was dark so hopefully it didn't show up too much. "I'll text you later sometime." She added as she headed over to her sister and Willow. She was looking at the ground hoping that her blush would go away before she reached them. Dawn took a deep breath and bit her lip a little as she stopped beside her sister. Dawn was ready to go home. She was tired and would love to take a hot bath. It was a good thing they didn't live too far away from the cemetery.
