::Catelle:: New beginning?

[Ruby]

Ruby was driving along the road, jamming to music with nowhere really to go, she was still trying to fined were the hell Dean Winchester was living at. So far all the people she had met In mystic falls were a no go on help, but she wasn’t giving up yet, she knew in time she would find him. She had only been in the falls for a few days as is, so it will take more time then that. Dean has always made sure that he is hard to find, that’s just way him and his brother both were. If they don’t want to be found you couldn’t find them, But no Ruby she always finds who she wants to. She was getting a bit tired at the wheel and don’t really know were she was going anyway. So Ruby stopped and pulled her car over to the side of the road

She decided was taking a break form driving, she was so tired of just driving with nowhere really to go to. It was a waste of gas and her precious time, and time wasn’t really something she wanted to waste right now, she had to fine Dean Winchester somehow, someway and fast. But It was getting late everyone was in bed anyway. So she thought she would park it and relax for a bit on the bridge. It was a nice night outside, the sky was full of stars, you could here the crickets chirping, and there was a nice breeze in the air, it was the prefect night to just sit, chill and watch the night. Ruby had her door to her 67 Chevy mustang open so she could listen to music while hanging there. She was sitting on the hood of the car just looking at the night, bored and just trying to pass the time till morning.

Catelle walked along the river bank after leaving her "date" to walk himself home. After having a few pints of blood from various donors today she was glad she wouldn't need to feed any time soon. As she walked she saw a figure on the bridge and studied them curiously. Getting closer she saw it was a woman, Who in the world stands on the bridge all by themselves at night in this town? Unless it were a demon or vampire. A human would have to be stupid to pull such a stunt out in the middle of nowhere. Still best to play my cards close to the chest till I discover who she is. Catelle thought.

Reaching the bank leading up to the bridge she climbed the slight incline to walk onto the bridge, "Do you need any help? It's really not safe to be out here alone at night, you know?" She studied the woman carefully, there was something other worldly about her, making Catelle seriously doubt her being a human. Catelle's long brown hair cascaded down her shoulders. The longer she was in town the more supes she found and still no sign of Elijah; a fact that was depressing Catelle. Not to mention the fact that the longer they were out of contact the more she worried about him.

Swallowing hard thinking about the love of her life she buried her emotions and force a polite smile, deciding she was being rude by not introducing herself, "I'm Catelle Petrova, I've recently moved into town."

[Ruby]

Ruby notice a girl making her way over to her, Ruby thought that is was a bit odd for a girl to be out on her own this late at night, although she probably though the same of her. Ruby was sitting there on her car just listing to music when the girl walked up to her, she asked if Ruby if she needed any help. Ruby looked a the girl and said “no I’m good, just taking a break from driving, thanks though. And as for the safe part of the matter, it is not really safe anywhere anymore.” Ruby thought something was a bit off with this girl, especial for her to walking alone on such a late night. Ruby didn’t know what this girls game was, but Ruby was interested to fine out on the matter.

She had told Ruby that she was new to the town, “well that is cool because so am I, I just got to town like a day or two ago. I’m looking for someone and last I herd he was living right here in Mystic falls, you don’t know a Dean Winchester do you?” Ruby was almost pretty sure she was going to but it never hurt to ask. She didn’t know how yet but she would find him, even if it was the last thing she ever did. Ruby then asked “ so what brings you to town, anything interesting? And may I ask why you are out so late on your own?”

Catelle shook her head, "No, I dont know any Dean Winchesters, sorry. The only people I know here I'm trying to avoid. Well accept for one that I'm looking for, he's a... that's complicated I guess." Listening to the music a moment she relaxed against a rail of the bridge. This girl wasn't human, but Catelle couldn't place what she was. Deciding she didn't have much to fear. She offering to show her cards might help, "Your different from anyone I've come across and I can't quite place you. So I have a propisition to get that question I'm certain we're both asking out of the way. I tell you what I am, you tell me what you are."

She was tempted to ask if the woman knew Elijah, but wasn't ready to go there until she knew who or what she was dealing with. "I'm Catelle Petrova by the way. Kind of avoiding family at the moment, which is a very long story." She'd been in town a week and already she was getting caught alone at night near the woods. It was doubtful her presence in town would remain a secret for very long. Especially since finding Elijah meant asking questions. Running her hand through her hair the moonlight caught her lapis lazuli ring for a moment before the ring disappeared into a tangle of dark brown hair, showing again as she folded her arms a moment later.

It was a bit of a test, see how much the woman knew. If she knew what the ring was for then she would have a decent amount of knowledge on vampires. If she didn't Catelle would be careful just how much she revealed about exactly what she was. After all Catelle wasn't quite a typical vampire. Technically speaking she'd been around before the turned vampires, making her more powerful and careful to reveal that power. Others tended to react one of two ways run screaming or try finding a way to kill her. Neither was pleasant. Not that she could exactly blame them since she'd been hiding from Klaus' sight for centuries. Dating another "original" one would think two against one would seem like the odds were in their favor. But as Rose so famously had said multiple times over the Catelle was slightly older than Elijah, she had the softer touch of the two. Which meant Klaus made her look like a marshmellow, ball of fluff, cotton candy whichever another vampire cared to use as a comparision. It was that soft side that had gotten her into trouble in the first place. She really did need to learn how to be a cold blooded monstrosity like most of the other vampires, but she just wasn't built that way.

[Ruby]

Ruby was very unhappy to hear that she had not at lest heard of Dean, but she figured with her luck she knew she was going to. Ruby was intrigued to hear that she was avoiding some people, it got her wondering who and why, this girl might be way more interesting then Ruby thought. So Ruby asked “who is it that you are trying to avoid? And you said you were looking for someone, who if you don’t mine me asking, maybe I would know of them.” Ruby doubted she was going to know anyone that was avoiding or looking for, but I didn’t hurt to ask to at lest get her on Ruby’s good side.

Ruby liked this girl she was smart, she had all right caught to the fact that Ruby was not human at all. Ruby for some reason knew she could trust this girl, Ruby then told her “you are a smart one girl, just as I could tell that you were not human as well. Well for your information I happened to be a Demon, and I’m guessing you are a Vampire? It seem like there are a lot of them in this town since I have came here, So what is your story then I have lots of time to kill”

Ruby liked this girl and was very much wanting to hear her story, she didn’t seem dumb that is why Ruby like her, she seemed like she was different then everyone else she had met in Mystic Falls so far. So that is what made Ruby very in to hearing more about her, Ruby then walked to the back of her car and got out two beers one for her and Ruby. “here you want one” Ruby asked her while handing it to her.

Catelle took the offered beer and sat next to Ruby contemplating if she could trust the female demon. Sighing she shrugged, what could it hurt. "I'm avoiding my sister Katherine, because if I don't I get my heart ripped out and that takes entirely too much time to heal from. If I can heal from it. Since I've never actually tried it I have no inclination to test the indestructible theory out. I'm not a typical vampire either, I'm actually an original. Which complicates the whole family thing even more, since I don't really have a last name. I adopted my sister's family and betrayed another original who was more powerful than I am by letting her be turned. I've suffered more for the family I chose than most are willing to suffer for the families they're given." Taking a drink of beer she smirked laughing inwardly.

Sighing she continued, "As for who I'm looking for, that would be the only man I've ever loved, Elijah. He's another original, but Klaus; the evil moron who won't let me see my sister on pain of death makes both of us put together look like a couple of fluffy bunnies. Elijah hasn't called me in a long enough time period to make me worry and this was the last place he told me he was. So here I am, of course I also came to stop Klaus' evil plan, and save a human from being sacrificed."

She had never actually met a demon before, but then she'd successfully managed to avoid most werewolves and witches as well. Except of course for the witch who'd spelled her lapis lazuli ring for her. That was one witch she had liked, who due to old age was now deceased. Finding she was curious about the demon she lifted a curious eyebrow, "So what exactly are you a demon of? Sorry. I've never had the pleasure of meeting a demon before, so curiousity has gotten the best of me. Who knows perhaps I can help you find Dean Winchester and you can help me find Elijah?"

[Ruby]

Ruby listen as she told Catella told her story about what she had been doing there, Ruby heard her say something about a girl named Katherine, Ruby had just recently met a vampire by that name as well. There was no way it could not have been that much of coincidence, it had to be the same girl. Ruby didn’t know weather she should say something to her just yet though, but this girl had to be talking about the same person. Wow what a Small world Ruby though to herself, or small town maybe finding Dean wont be that hard after all.

Ruby continued to listen as she told her more about her story, Ruby kicked back her beer and took a big drink while sitting there on the car. Ruby then wanted to know what was all this she was saying about an original, what the hell was that. “Hey do mind if I ask but what the hell is an original anyway? You said you are one, so what you like one of the first vampires or something?" Ruby had heard a lot about different vampires she had been around a while, but she had never heard of original before. She was very curious to find out more.

Catella then asked Ruby what kind of demon she was, wow someone who had never met a Demon before this was going to be fun to tell. Ruby said to her “well let’s just say I’m from hell and no one was using this body so I borrowed it for a bit, yeah I did use to be human once but I sold my soul and got sent to Hell. Now I’m back and I have been here for sometime now trying to bring my lord to earth, but that didn’t turn out so well because of Dean and here I am now sitting her with you. Yeah I would love to have some help, that is if you are willing to help me” Ruby knew now she was for sure going to love this girl.

Catelle took another drink and smiled, At least I'm not the only one not completely in the know. she thought, "You guessed correctly. Originals are where the vampires came from. The old ones, the first ones. We regard the others as turned vampires and the differences in power is quite large. Originals as far as we've found so far are pretty much indestructible where as shove a stake through a turned vampire's heart, burn them, they die. Not so much the case with yours truly and I can compell turned vampires as well as humans. I'm the softhearted one of the bunch though. Klaus calls me the weak one, but him underestimating me is to my advantage so let him." She decided she had to be somewhat careful when it came to what she told the demon about herself and the originals, hence the careful dance around their limited weaknesses.

Listening intently to Ruby talk about herself as a demon she left more questions with her answers. There was more trouble in this town than simply Klaus coming here. A demon Lord couldn't possibly be a good thing and now more than ever Catelle needed to find Elijah. Being at one time Klaus' right hand man hopefully he would know more about the demons than she did. Even though in some circles it was thought that vampires were demons. Truth be told Catelle wasn't quite sure herself how the originals had come to be, she just... was. "A demon Lord, I have to be honest one of those on earth doesn't sound like a particularly good thing by modern mytholgy standards, but who am I to judge without knowing someone first. People think vampires are demons as well. So you're looking for this Dean out of revenge, for help, to stop him from interfering?"

[Ruby]

Ruby listen as she told Catella told her Ruby had never heard of Original before, all she knew is they sounded like the kind of Vampires she should stay a way from. Even though she was talking Catelle, they could even could compell other Vampires, it made Ruby wonder could they even compell her? More reason she knew to stay away from them, Ruby better make sure she don’t make Carelle mad at all in anyway. It might not be a smart idea for Ruby to lie to her ether, the last thing she needed was to be compelled. “So just a question, what did Katherine do to you anyway? I mean if you don’t mine me asking you” Ruby wanted to make sure she didn’t upset her in anyway.

Ruby thought she would found a little about what was going on with them, before telling her that she had actually met her. Ruby had run into her one day at the Grill and they had a few drinks, it was fun and She didn’t have any problem with Katherine at all. Ruby actually thought she was pretty cool for a Vampire. Catelle then told Ruby why she was looking for Elijah, “wow it sounds like you have your work cut out for you, so what is did this Elijah do that was so bad anyway.” Ruby was very interested to hear this one, he sounded very cleaver in what Catelle was telling Ruby.

Catelle was the asking Ruby how a Demon lord could be good, she really had no idea how great it could be. So Ruby told her, “Well lets just put it this way, he could have made earth so great for us Demons, maybe even vampires. But Dean and Sam had to make sure they put in end to all of the that, it ok though I’m going to make sure Dean gets what is coming to him. And yeah some help would be great, I can help you as well. I already have met a few others who are willing to help me as well, but it would be nice to add to the team.” Well Ruby was meeting a good few here, first a Vampire, then a werewolf and now an original Vampire. Things were going very well for Ruby, Dean was going to burn.

Catelle sighed heavily, "Katerina was an innocent, well alright my sister was as innocent as she could be anyway bystander. She was related to the wrong person and looked like the wrong woman basically. Six hundred years ago a vampire named Charlotte Petrova along with many others and a group of werewolves along with invading forces from Spain all but whiped out the Aztecs. They were kind of pissed about the whole thing and a mistake was made. No one killed their Shaman, to repay us all for our evil deeds on the supernatural side of things he used Charlotte as a sacrifice and put a curse on the werewolves and vampires. This kept the mutts from turning anytime but on a full moon and we were kept out of the sunlight." she smirked slightly, "Well so he thought. Vampires have their own little tricks and originals had servant witches. Very few of us know the secret to staying out during the day, but those who do have escaped the curse mostly. At any rate like all spells he put an escape claus in just in case. The spell could be lifted by sacrificing the human version of Charlotte, a doppelganger, which ended up being Katherine."

Her smile turned bitter, "I was sent to keep her safe until the time of sacrifice to break the curse. She tricked a vampire into turning her, I had the opportunity to stop it... But she had become my family, so I turned my back. Klaus banished me from the family of originals and forbid me from telling Katherine I was alive on pain of death. For her punishment he whiped out her entire family, so he thought. Fortunately for him and unfortunately for the world Katherine's daughter who was put up for adoption remained undiscovered by him. Now there's a new doppelganger and that moron wants to try breaking the curse again. The evil bastard has to be stopped, not just for moral purposes but because if he succeeds he will thoughtlessly dimish the food supply. Imagine knowing the damage one vampire can do what all the current and future new, starving and unable to control themselves vampires will do when they can go out in the sun. A time when humans feel safe and are out en mass. He might be the first, be his arrogance has made him stupid and it's going to get him killed. If Elijah and I have to chop him up into little peices and spread them across the globe." A very dangerous sweet smile played on her lips.

Looking at Ruby once more she went back to her normal calm self, "What would this Lord do that would make things so great for demons and vampires?" she asked curiously.

Ruby knew a little bit in what she was talking about in what Katherine had told her, but Katherine had told her about a doppelganger named Elena. There must be more of them, the question is does Catelle know that. Ruby didn’t know how long she should go in not telling her before she would know Ruby was laying to her, the last thing Ruby needed was enemies in this town and compelling her none the less.

“Well that sounds like a crazy story, this town has so much going on with it, so much action. I cant lie, I love it, I’m sorry I find it all in a way, very interesting.” Ruby was happy this town had things going on with it, makes all the more trouble to Dean wants he finds all this out. Dean puts his nose in everything, she was sure he would find out about the town on way or another. That would make it easy for Ruby to find him on now time.

Catelle had asked Ruby what Lucifer could do for the Demons, Ruby told her “well lets put it this way it would be heaven on earth for creatures of evil like us, see he loves the other things on earth that God doesn't. If we were to bring him here he would be so great full for us, we would be rewarded greatly it ways we could not even imagine.” Ruby wished her plan the first time just would have just went threw for her, she wouldn’t be in this mess in the first place.

Ruby popped open another beer, getting a bit more loose, making it easier to talk to Catelle. Ruby then asked her, “Hey Catelle I have a question for you, are you familiar with a girl named Elena by any chance?” Ruby wanted to see what Catelle would say.

Just when Catelle thought she wouldn't fear anyone more than Klaus she found out that Lucifer was no bedtime story. Outwardly she had no reaction at all to the information. Well she did she gave a slow smile approval, "I could definitely go for things being better on earth." Lucifer on earth would be nothing but bad news for everyone, especially for the rare vampires who cared about humans and treated them with kid gloves, like Catelle did. Her devilish side only came out if absolutely necessary and she hoped that was enough.

If Lucifer was real and God was real, that must mean that angels were as well. Which meant she had questions, just not ones that would be asked tonight. Standing she stretched slowly as Ruby asked about Elena, "She's part of the reason I'm here. The Petrova's are my family adopted of sorts or not I claim them all. Klaus wants to kill her to break the curse and I intend to stop him. Family is family." Facing Ruby, Catelle cracked her neck and smiled, "So where is a good place to crash around here and where would you like to start looking?"

Feeling a shadow pass over she saw a dark cloud hover overhead and shivered. She swore she'd seen that very cloud formation somewhere before, but then that wasn't physically possible was it? She shrugged it off as the night getting to spooky in general and looked away from the cloud. There was a lot more work to do than she'd originally thought if Lucifer were coming, particularly if he were coming here. Would the madness in the world never end? Trouble seemed to find her everywhere she looked and quite frankly it was getting a bit old.

Ruby wanted so badly for her plain to have worked out, but of coarse as always, the Winchesters had to go and mess that all up for ruby. All that hard work to mutilate Sam was all for nothing, it was fun thought to Ruby but it would have been better if it would have worked out. “Yeah humans on this earth make my skin crawl sometimes, I think they all worship the wrong god. Everyone thinks god is so great, well if he is so great how come we never see him when we want, and why isn’t he there when we need him the most. So I for sure don’t worship there god.”

Ruby hated the god they all worshiped with a passion, even when Ruby was human she had lost faith in him. Ruby was one to never have any good luck in her life, or have things ever go her way. So many people she had lost in her life to death had really made Ruby lose faith fast, now being a Demon makes the hate that much more. Now that Ruby was a Demon she didn’t have to worry about the things she did when she was human, life was so much easier for her.

“So you do know Elena then , I figured you would because I was told about her by someone you know. anyway I do like you Catelle and I don’t want to lie to so yes I have met Katherine. I was at the Grill one day for a drink and I met her, and had to ask her because for some reason the bartender and everyone was calling her Elena. I just wanted to know why and she told me, she also told me something about two Salvatore brothers. Do you know who they are by chance?” Ruby was just trying to keep conversion letting her know that just because she knew Katherine didn’t mean they were be buds or anything.

She then asked Ruby if she knew if any good places to crash, ruby told her “Well I have just been staying at this cheap motel that my friend Iris told me about, why do you know any better hip places around?” Ruby was hoping she did, Ruby was more the fancy room type and not the type to settle for anything cheap, it was just easy to stay there at the time.

"Doppelgangers, they can be so diificult to tell apart, then humans dont have the sense of smell that vampires do either. We would smell the difference between a vampire, human, werewolf or other being. Humans dont have that luxury thankfully. It's nice to hear Katherine is a keeping a low profile to prevent raising the suspicions of the humans. She should be staying out of sight and instead she's flaunting herself about town, how wonderful given her previous history here." Catelle shook her head, not that she didn't have a red sports car hiding in the trees which would draw attention, but still. Katherine was being foolish and begging for Klaus' little army of miscreats to come find her. At least Catelle herself wasn't a doppelganger of the two, but she was still careful since the family resemblance was aparent.

"As for the flee bag motel, there is no way I will be staying there. A vampire trick dear find a house foreclosure that's been on the market a long time. No humans live in them so anyone can enter, it does require purchasing furnishings, but that's easy enough. Since I'll be staying her for a longer period of time however; I shall have to do my best to find where Elijah's been crashing or find a place to live on my own. By the way where is this Grill you spoke of, I think I shall need to pay it a visit for a shot of whiskey, maybe two."

One of the many tricks learned over the years, go to where the people go when you want to find out information. This Grill seemed to be a town hotspot which meant plenty of people to point her in Elijah's direction and give her the skinny on the available places in town. Not to mention finding the Salvatore brothers, the last time she'd talked to Elijah he didn't trust them in the least and the two seemed to be at odds with him, "I've only heard of the Salvatore brothers. Elijah had said they were very loyal to Elena but couldn't be trusted by other vampires. Especially the oldest one, I was warned that he was crafty. That conversation however was a bit ago, I have no idea what the current situation is. I think I shall head into town to that Grill you spoke of, see what I can dig up."

[Ruby]

Ruby then thought maybe she should ask Catelle, if she Katherine could be trusted, not that it mean she trusted Catelle more, she just wanted to hear what she would say on the matter. “So can Katherine be trusted or do you think I should stay away from her, She said she was going to help me try and find Dean Winchester. But I don’t totally know her all that well, so I don’t really know what to do about her.” Ruby was just going to try and fine out more on her, that why Ruby was asking. Didn’t really matter to Ruby who she trusts, the truth was Ruby didn’t trust anyone but herself.

“Anyway yeah the Grill is a pretty cool place, in town it is in Mystic Falls. We should go have a drink there sometime, I think it might be closed now it is kind of late. But yeah it is a nice bar to go and chill at, they have good food there too I hear.” Ruby knew that Catelle probably wanted to go there for info, that why Ruby headed there when she came to town. That place is great for that, everyone in town goes there, hopefully one day she will run in to Dean there.

Ruby had heard a bit about the brothers’ but maybe she knew more, so Ruby asked her “Yeah I have heard something’s about them, what is so crafty about the oldest one though?” Ruby was intrigued to meet this Damon guy now, she was a sucker for hot brother’s too. So Ruby might just have to meet him. “Well if you get a nice place to chill at let me know, I might come there and join you.”
