Something odd was going on. Interesting, but odd. Castiel had heard the rumors of a human being turned into an angel. Castiel didn't even know that that was possible, but since it had already happened from the news he had heard in heaven. This person had to have been special, and Castiel had no idea why. He would investigate this matter for sure, he also wanted to know who it was that was turned into an angel.
Meanwhile Castiel had taken to doing some work to help Dean with his own crusade, and also with matter in Heaven. It wasn't until he had arrived back in Mystic Falls, Virginia. He was back at the Falls. The ange had to admit that this place was indeed beautiful but he wasn't here to look at the scenery. He wandered about this area looking for what he was sensing. To anyone else he was a businessman taking a scenic walk.
That was about the time that he spotted what he was sensing. She was actually a familiar face, if he had heard the description of her before and it was correct. This made little sense to Castiel, but he was somehow getting the feeling that he'd need to say hello. She wasn't always an angel like he was. Perhaps she was like Anna and had just gotten her grace back. However, this would be something that would likely be answered in the conversation to come with this woman. “Hello, Sister,” he said, addressing her by what she was. Even if she was human before, she was his sister now, since she was now an angel.

Jessica Lee Moore wasn’t sure what drew her here. The scenery was gorgeous, the waterfall soothing. The crickets chirping, the water splashing against the rocks, it was all…perfect. However something had drawn her here…and she wasn’t quite sure what it was. The breeze had begun to pick up and it blew her short hair around. That was one thing she hated at the moment. She wasn’t a huge fan of her short hair…she missed the length that it had been when it was long. She could do a ton with it then, but now it was short…and to be honest she couldn’t remember how it had gotten so short. She didn’t dwell on it, just wrote it off to another mystery about her new existence and the new role that she was asked to play.
She heard footsteps off in the distance but ignored them, knowing that very little could harm her. Her eyes were focused on the water in front of her. It ran smoothly against the rocks that had been elevated over the years because of erosion. She pulled her jacket closer to her as the wind picked up. It wasn’t that she was cold, but it made her feel more human…though she knew she wasn’t.
A voice caught her attention and she turned around, hearing the words but not really understanding them. It took her several moments of staring at the man in the trench coat to figure out that he had called her sister. “Uh…Hi?” She asked, waving her hand at him in a hello fashion. “I’m sorry…but have we met?” She asked, not wanting to offend the trench coat man but not at all sure they had even met before. She did know that they weren’t siblings…and since all her family thought she was dead…well…she was a tad bit confused.

Castiel figured that he would get such a reply from this other angel. She was another angel like he was, that made her his sibling. “You are an angel, my name is Castiel,” he said, “I will assume, you are Jessica Moore?” Castiel was never eloquent. He was still being stern, and like how Balthazar said, he had a stick up his ass, whatever that meant. The seraph would be fairly benevolent to her.
He had a hunch that the vast majority of his siblings wouldn't take kindly to a human being made into an angel. Castiel knew that his siblings still had a sort of animosity towards humans, even though they followed their father's commands and watched over them. Castiel knew how important Jessica was to his human friend, Sam, but that was about it as far as that went. Castiel was also stumped on why a human would be made an angel. Well, whatever the reason was he had faith that it was a good decision
With all of that aside Castiel was still compelled to come and converse with his sister. He didn't mean any harm. He was still the awkward angel that Dean had met, and he also looked after Dean with every intention of helping him out with things here on earth. Castiel really would rather be on earth than in Heaven. Things upstairs were so chaotic that he tended to miss being with his human friends. Castiel would be glad to help Jessica out here. He just hoped that it wouldn't be taken in the wrong way.

Jessica Lee More heard him say his name and immediately understood. She remembered (barely, but it was a memory) about how there was an angel on earth who could help her, lead her to those she was supposed to protect. His name had been Castiel. Before she could comment on this he clarified that she was actually who he thought she was. She was surprised, since she had a feeling many other angels weren’t going to be as receptive to her being brought back as an angel. She had been informed many times that heaven and angels and everything weren’t like they were in the stories.
When you died you didn’t just automatically become an angel like some others said. You also couldn’t behave well on earth and immediately be sent back as an angel…that’s now how these things worked. So she knew her case was a special one and while she was honored, it also made her feel isolated knowing that even those like her weren’t going to be as thrilled with her as she would have hoped.
“Yes, I’m Jessica Lee Moore…though most people just call me Jessica or Jess even.” She stated, hoping he would be one of the ones who decided to call her Jess. The nickname for some odd reason was comforting to her-almost like a security blanket. “I remember being told about you.” She told him, though for once in her life she was a bit shy.
“They told me that you were sort of like what they wanted me to be like. I was sent here to help certain warriors for the light but I’m not sure where my charge or charges are. They said you could possibly lead me to where they are. They also said you could possibly help me learn how to use the abilities that I possess.” She told him, shrugging. “No idea what any of that means but I figured I would tell you what they told me.” She told him, laughing a bit.

They said you could possibly lead me to where they are. They also said you could possibly help me learn how to use the abilities that I possess.” Jessica took that better than Castiel expected her to. However, it seemed that people and things had been exceeding his expectations a lot lately, this was especially so since he met Sam and Dean. The angel also didn't think that Jessica would have been told about himself. Sure he was the special one with the Winchesters as his charges, but that was about it.
He wasn't surprised that she wasn't told who her charge would be. Castiel had a feeling he knew who it was to be, but... that would mean that he was out of the cage. “It's fine, Jess” he replied, “I will help you learn about those new powers, and of course the rules.” Castiel was always a good soldier, but now he was in a position of leadership. He was more powerful than he was when he raised Dean from perdition, this gave him a different kind of authority. Castiel had a feeling that something huge was going to go down at some point, if humans were being turned into angels. Whatever it was that was going to happen, he figured that he'd at least lead Jessica to her charge, and show her how to use her powers.

Jessica Lee Moore watched Castiel’s face as she spoke. It seemed to him that he wasn’t a very a person who showed his emotions or expressions very much. However she was extremely good at reading people and he seemed knowing…almost…she didn’t really have the word. However when she told him that she didn’t know who her charges were he seemed pensive. It almost seemed as if he had an idea. She also had an idea but she kept it to herself, waiting for him to allow her the knowledge of what he thought was the truth. “So how do you think my charge or charges are?” She asked him, not one to beat around the bush
She waited for his response, not knowing who or what he would say. She had been given a crash course about her identity, her mission, and herself…but she had been told to find someone on earth that could help her learn the ways better than they could. Seemed to her that they were just lazy but she dared not speak that out loud. She had heard rumors from others in heaven about some of the angels and the way that they behaved to not only humans, but to other angels who they didn’t feel were in their circle.
She was tempted to snort but didn’t allow it to pass. She didn’t know this angel in front of her and didn’t know if he was like that, though she was a pretty good judge of character and he didn’t seem like the type. She didn’t know what it was about him, but she trusted him…which was odd since she didn’t really rust a lot of people any more. “Okay oh wise one, tell me about what all I can do and who you think I’m meant for. Also how the heck do I get from place to place without walking?” She asked, a smile on her face.

“So how do you think my charge or charges are?” Castiel had to be honest. He had no idea who Jessica's charges were, he may be a powerful angel, but that didn't make him omniscient. “I don't know who your charges are yet, but you might, have an idea wouldn't you? Since that is usually the right one, as far as human charges go,” Castiel said in an honest tone. The seraph always had a plan, and this was one of those times when he didn't really have one. It bothered him, more than he liked to admit. He had a hunch that she would be assigned to aid the Winchesters, for some odd reason those two boys received a lot of divine assistance. Castiel was still fond of them, they were amongst the few friends that he actually had.
“Okay oh wise one, tell me about what all I can do and who you think I’m meant for. Also how the heck do I get from place to place without walking?” No one had told Jess how to 'fly' yet? Well that was troublesome, it was the standard method of travel for angels, and it was fast. “I'm surprised that no one has taught you those things yet,” Castiel replied, “I'll show you how.” The seraph proceeded to teach Jess the basics of angelic powers, 'flying' would have been among them. He was an awkward teacher, but he was trying nonetheless. He would not withhold any information or techniques that she would find useful. If she were to be assigned to a human charge she should be able to protect them to the greatest extent of her power.

Jessica Lee Moore wasn’t sure what to make of the male angel standing in front of her. She knew that he was nice, but he was just weird to an extent. Awkward would probably be the better term but she hated to say that about someone. He stood there with his arms simply hanging down at his sides, with a trench coat on, but he was just simply standing there. She knew from experience that she herself tended to be a very vibrant speaker. She talked with her hands, always making gestures to accentuate what she meant and different things like that…however Castiel did not.
She was surprised when he stated that he didn’t know who her chargers were. She was definitely going to have a discussion about the organization and lack of communication up there in heaven one of these days. It was annoying to her that no one knew exactly what was going on and no one had given her clear directions. That had always been a personality flaw of hers. She could follow directions to a T if they were given, but left up to her own vices, it was difficult for her and it always had been.
Jess heard what Castiel said and she nodded her head, her eyes widening at how big of a moron she could be. “Okay, so I know one of my charges…but I guess he sort of overlaps with you as well.” She told him, her eyes showing the confusion that she felt at that moment. She was definitely out of her element at this point in time. She didn’t like or appreciate being this far off base. She had been one to always have a plan. Of course she could be spontaneous, but for the most part she knew what was going on around her and she knew what she wanted in life.
“Sam Winchester…he’s my main charge.” She told him, though wasn’t sure how he would respond. She knew, somehow. She didn’t know how she knew but she knew that he was Dean Winchester’s ‘Guardian Angel’…and she was almost sure that he was something like Sam’s guardian as well, when in all actuality she had no idea how either of them fit together.

No, Castiel didn't know who Jessica's charges were but to make matters seemingly worse he was sort of the guy in charge now. Since he and Raphael were in the middle of a civil war. This whole thing was hectic, and the seraph really wondered how anyone would actually seek out for positions of leadership like this. It was that train of thought that allowed Castiel to understand how his father must have felt at some times. He was getting ahead of himself again. However, Jess seemed to be understanding at best, which came as a great relief to the angel.
”Sam Winchester... he's my main charge” Castiel was very much astonished to hear that Jess believed her charge to be Sam Winchester, from his knowledge, the boy hadn't returned from the dead. Or had he? Things tended to happen without him knowing all the time and it seemed that this was no exception. “Sam Winchester is dead from my knowledge.” Castiel said, tilting his head. This confused him, but then, a lot of things confused him. The seraph was certain that he would be meeting up with Dean soon actually, and of course Jess would have to accompany him.
Almost as if on cue he heard Dean call for him. 'Cas, could you get your feathery ass down here?' he heard. “Dean Winchester is calling right now, it might be best if you come with me,” Castiel said. He was sorry that they couldn't get more time to chat, but it wasn't like Castiel got time to himself very often anyway.
