Stefan felt bad, maybe he never thought of Elena as a snack, but a lot of humans he did. So Lucy saying that thinking that the love of your life was just so tasty looking kind of hit home hard for him. He never had that thought about Elena, but it was still hard for him to hear. Lucy was right, he was a danger to Elena. Stefan could snap at any moment and hurt her. "But love is blind sometimes." Stefan told Lucy honest, hoping that his voice didn't sound to sad over the way the conversation had gone. He couldn't blame someone for falling in love, even if it was wrong.
He wished it was that simple, just getting out there and talking to people. He was doing alright right now with Lucy, but that could change in an instant for Stefan. Getting out, seeing people, talking to people, smelling the blood rushing through their body, that stuff was what got Stefan into trouble. He almost snapped at school the other day and had to ditch the rest of the day with Caroline. He shrugged, he didn't mind her talking, she was really insightful and she made a lot of sense, so it was ok in the long run, plus it kept his mind off things.
"Or maybe I just don't talk that much to begin with." Stefan told her managing a smile. She had another point about him acting like a jerk and that if he noticed he was then maybe he should try to fix or change it. Again he wished it was that simple. "Sometimes I feel I have to be a jerk, otherwise they think I am just the broody guy that wants to hide in his room writing in his journal and they don't take my opinions seriously." Stefan told her, he felt bad about it, of course he did, but sometimes it was something he just had to be and there was no changing that.
Not if being a jerk meant the potential difference between life and death for Elena and everyone he cared about. If that is what it took, then that is what it took. He was now looking at Lucy as that snack that she talked about. The juicy delicious, tasty treat that he wanted to drink from. She clearly didn't listen to him when he told her to run, all she did was ask what he was. "You know what I am." Stefan told her, managing to straighten up, feeling his control wavering. "I am so hungry, and your blood is so tasty." He spoke to her approaching her once again.
Placing his hands on her shoulders. He watched her face the fear within it and he began to mumble about the hunger and not controlling it. "Please run?" Stefan asked her, if she ran, got as far from him as she could, he would hurt her. He took a deep breath, trying to calm himself down like Caroline said and he closed his eyes. "I am a vampire, and I don't wish to hurt you." Stefan told her taking another deep breath. "You are a nice girl that doesn't deserve to be hurt." Telling himself that he felt his eyes return to normal and he moved away from her.
"Please don't be scared of me." He pleaded with her, the feeling had passed and he now saw the fear in her face. "I..." Stefan began, he didn't want to compel her, but he might have to.

“yeah I guess it is, but to the point of being with someone that is a vampire?” she asked him. “they made it sound so perfect in twilight but really if vampires were to exist I really doubt that it would work with such ease.” She told him shaking her head slightly. Michael may not have been the perfect boyfriend but thankfully he was not wanting to kill her at any moment. She figured that if vampires did exist it would pretty much be how it would be for them, they would want to kill the person they loved most of the time. It was most likely ha hard relationship.
“yeah but sometimes you need to talk, especially when you have been a jerk to the people that you care about.” She told him with a small smile. “we all have our moments when we are not as nice as we should be but this does not mean that we are bad people, we simply have to make up for it, or at least tried to.” She told him. It was just her opinion and he could do whatever he wanted to do about it. “I have a friend that also keeps a journal.” She said even if really it didn’t change anything. “I don’t think it makes you completely broody.” She told him softly, trying to make him feel better.
For a moment Maria was sure that he was kidding. This was some sort of game Caroline was playing on her or something. Some silly tvshow someone was doing to see the reaction of people. She moved away from him or did it was much as she could before he had his hands on her. She looked at him. “this is a joke right.” she said before he told her to run again. “let me go and I will run please, just let me go.” She begged him as she started to cry. This was not happening she was not going to die here.
“then please don’t hurt me. I wont tell anyone…” she told him shaking like a leaf. What was this? Did Caroline know about this? She looked around wanting to find help but she was not even able to scream for it. “please just tell me this is a joke.” Maria begged of him. This was not happening this was not real. She moved to pinch herself hopeing that the pain would wake her from this nightmare but no, nothing.
“I’m not scared.” She lied. Maybe if she was to lie to him, he would let her go.

"That is probably the truth." Stefan told her when she said that it won't work out like it did in Twilight. She was completely right. Those books or movies completely glamorizes vampires. Stefan mused about how easy it was to be a vampire now a days when he had his humanity off, how women just flung themselves at him, thanks in part to those movies. Then again, Stefan never had that trouble before Twilight, as women still wanted to be with him and were all to willing and like the sheep to his wolf. Twilight just magnified that.
"Some things will never be forgiven." Stefan told Lucy when she said that he just needed to talk about it, get it out in the open and that he had to make up for it. There was a lot to make up for, and even in Stefan's unlimited years, he doubted he would have enough time to fix it all. None of that mattered now, as Stefan was about to make another huge mistake and he needed to figure out a way to stop himself from ripping into Lucy's flesh and drinking her dry. He hadn't expected any of this to happen and he wished that it didn't happen.
He was somehow controlling it, the voice of Caroline in his head he really didn't want to hurt Lucy, but he was unsure if he could stop himself for to long. She told him that if he let go then she would run away like he told her too. Stefan wasn't sure if running would help her anymore. If he won't just hunt her down anyways and kill her even though she tried to run. "Please, don't leave me, help me." Stefan told her, his voice sounding desperate. "Tell me something, anything, just get my mind off of the hunger." Stefan told her, losing his control.
"I won't hurt you, but you got to help me," Stefan told her honestly. Hoping she would try and help him. He probably scared the socks off of Lucy, but right now he needed her help or otherwise he would kill her, despite rather or not she ran. Stefan really didn't want to hurt her, but he could feel the hunger taking over him. He gasped. "Hurry, I promise that after you help me, I will make you forget all of this, you won't remember being scared, you won't remember what I am." He offered, hoping that gave her reason to want to help him.
