----------------------- [/b] -----------------------[/b]
Rebekah didn't notice what he meant by her eyes being normal. She never read the books or saw the movies, but she knows of them. She guessed that bad vampires in those movies had freaky eyes or something, and since hers were normal, a normal blue color, he assumed that meant if she were a vampire from Twilight then she would be a good one. Rebekah doubted the vampires from Twilight were real, after all, sparkling? Who ever heard of a vampire that sparkles? She knew of two kinds of vampires, her kind, and the kind Buffy hunted.
The only difference really was her kind were all kinda like related. Everyone she ever turned was in her line of vampires, and the people they turned were in her line as well. So on and so forth. She, and her brothers, were the first vampires, that's why they were called originals. That's why they got weaker over the generations. She was a pure blood so to speak, the other vampires in her line, though she knew of very few, were diluted, half breeds really. It was hard for Rebekah not to sound like a pure blood snob, but it was true, it was how it was.
Which is why if she wanted to, she could rip Stefan and Damon Salvatore to shreds and not even break a nail. She knew very little about the Buffy vampires that she slayed, but from what she gathered they were just basically demons, soulless heartless monsters. Rebekah could be emotionless if she chose to be so, but she had feelings, and the vampires Buffy told her about seemed to care about very little. As for the Twilight vampires, well, maybe they exist somewhere, but she hasn't heard of them, then again a few weeks ago she didn't know about Buffy's vampires.
Rebekah couldn't figure out this kid at all. First he wouldn't say anything to her, then you couldn't get him to stop talking, and now he won't say anything again. Rebekah just shook it off, if he didn't want to answer her question on what he was thinking about then he didn't have to. But she was curious. After all she was thinking of taking him and trying to raise him like a son, and if she didn't know what he was thinking, what went on in his mind then she wouldn't be able to take care of his properly. As long as he told her what he needed, then she guessed she didn't need to know every thought he had, but it still would help in the end.
"That's ok, accident's happen. My teeth change too on accident sometimes." Rebekah said to him. Though she controlled it really well, and you didn't see her face unless she wanted you to do, and often times if you did see her real face, that was the last thing you saw. But Rebekah had better control on that then the younger vampires. The only time it got uncontrollable was when she was hungry and she knew blood was near by. She rubbed his head gently, messing with his hair a little as he changed her hair color back to normal. He messed with her hair first, so fair was fair.
He asked how she got the teeth. Rebekah had to think about how she could answer this without being to graphic. Truth was her mom put a spell on her and her siblings, as her mom was a witch, and their dad killed them and then forced them to drink from a village girl to complete the transition. How do you tell that to a 6 year old? Sure she knew he understood more then regular 6 year olds, but it was still hard to say out loud. "My parent's did it to protect me from the monsters. It was a spell performed my mother." She told him, leaving out the part that she had to help kill that poor girl.
"Then you don't have to." Rebekah said with a smile, glad he seemingly wanted to stay with her, but she didn't notice he was starting to freak out a little bit. "I want you to be with me too." Rebekah answered him holding her close to him. Rebekah never felt this way before. She was now determined to be the best role model she could be for Zan, he deserves it. She thought he was just being cute, but things soon turned really scary for Rebekah as she wasn't expecting it, he began to vanish in her arms. Rebekah began to panic a bit.
"Its ok Zan, Calm down." She said, but it wasn't doing any good, he was still quickly disappearing right before her very eyes as people began to come into the theater. Now in full panic mode, Rebekah didn't know what to do at first. She just sat there as he slowly but surely vanished completely. She must look really weird to people who looked her way hugging an invisible item to her. But Rebekah didn't care about that right now, all she cared about was the little boy who had vanished completely now in her arms. What was she gonna do.
Sitting awkwardly in a moment of silence she considered her options, and only one was the correct option. She stood up quickly as the opening credits of the movie finally started she walked out of the theater holding Zan in her arms looking for the bathroom. Rebekah was so confused and scared and she began to cry softly, thinking there was something wrong with him. "Its ok, you can come home with me, I want you to come home with me." Rebekah said between sobs, finally getting to the bathrooms, she didn't know which one to go into.
He was a boy, but she was a girl. She decided on the girls room. She checked the stalls to make sure no one was in it and she locked the door behind her. Now alone completely with Zan, she sat him on the counter near the sink. "Please come back to me, your scaring me." She told him now full on crying. She refused to let him go as she didn't want to loose him forever. He was still there, solid, just she couldn't see him. "I'm sorry, I love you!" She said realizing what she said she gasped softly. How could she love a little boy she just met?
But she did! She wanted to protect him, she wanted to be his mother, even if he was different and just the fact she was freaking out and crying so hard right now proofed that to her, it showed that she really did care about him and that he was hurting her right now. Not physically, but emotionally. If he didn't come back soon, Rebekah would have to turn her emotions off as she would not be able to stand the guilt he was causing her, and she didn't want to have to deal with it. "Please Zan?" She pleaded finding it hard to even speak right now.
Rebekah for the first time in a long time was scared out of her wits.

Zan was just a complicated kind of kid. He talked when he felt the need to talk, and he kept quiet when he had nothing to say. To answer her question well it was just complicated, very very complicated. He's thinking many things at the same time. He's always thinking about the first memory he has, of his bio father, of Liz. But that's not what she wanted to hear I'm sure. But what was he thinking... it was just too complicated a question for him to answer. He was thinking about a lot of things. So a shrug seemed appropriate at the time. Had he needed anything he'd speak up after a while. But he was shy and he had to be independent. So he would not necessarily ask. He would take if he needed, and even then he'd feel guilty about it later. With Zan you just gotta let him do his thing, and try not to judge too much. Or try not to think on it much. He does what he does for a reason.
"Oh." Zan said nodded his head, and scrunching his face when she messed up his hair, but he made no move to stop her or fit his hair. He did not care much about it at all. "Do people think it's trickery?" Zan asked. A lot of people would mumble about being crazy if he changed the color of something and someone noticed. Saying thinks about tricks and eyes getting checked and what not. Zan was wondering if she had to hear the same thing, or if she got a different response when she used her little gift. He was pretty sure it had to be pretty frightening to see, after all the other boys ran, and one might have peed his pants. Zan had no idea, but he liked to think one did, to make himself feel better.
"Oh." Zan added his little mind ticking away. That made sense. His mommy and daddy had powers, and they came from the starts, so he also came from the starts, and surly got his powers from them. But he wondered how his parents got their powers. It made sense now. His grandparents had been protecting his parents and put a spell on them and made them come from the stars, and be able to protect themselves from monster and bad people. that made sense to Zan. He was a first generation pure blood star person. Or whatever you want to call it. Both his parents were half star people or something. Liz had said something about it, but Zan could not remember it all. He was still too sad that Liz did not take him away.
He really did not want to be taken away from Bek. Not now. He found his found, he found a mother figure, he fond someone who would protect him from monsters, he found someone to hug him, and hold him and love him. Someone who would read to him and tell him stories. A person to tuck him in at night as check his closet for monsters. A person who after a time, he would not need a room check, for he'd knew she'd keep the monsters away. Just someone to be with, someone to protect him from the bad people in the world. But most of all a person who would accept him for who he was, and maybe just maybe let him use his gift. He was quite the little artest. A very gifted boy, who was locked away. But with Bek he could be free, he just had to hold on tighter, maybe just maybe she would not be able to get him off, and she'd have to take him.
He was unaware of what was going on around him, he just hugged tight to Bek, his eyes tightly closed, as he breathed into her neck, trying to stay calm. He did not want them to find him again, he did not want to be taken away from Bek, so he had to be invisible. He could not control it, and until he felt safe, he'd stay this way. He just held on tight, shaking slightly from fear. He knew he was in for a beating. Standing up to them only made it worse, and their voice struck fear into him really. Even with Bek, she could not protect him forever, if she made him go back to the boys home.
When she began to cry, that only made things worse. Something was very very very wrong now. He did not understand why she was freaking out. So he began to freak out, clinging to her, chocking back little sobs of his own. He did not understand what was going on. He just knew one minute he was in the theater frighten about the older boys finding him, and the next he was in the bathroom sitting on a cold counter Bek searching the mirror, she just looked right through him. He was invisible. The hard part was being visible again. Being invisible was easy, natural, it felt right. It was safe here. Being in the real world that was freak, and scary and he got hurt. When he was invisible nothing could touch him. Well you could touch him, but it would be more on accident then anything.
He did not understand her pleas. He was here, he was right here. She just can't see him, but he's still here, crying softly, reaching out and touching whatever part he could reach without falling off the counter. It was a long way down after all. But still. He did not understand, which worried him. He feed off of others emotions. If they were freaking out, he'd freak out, even if it was nothing and had nothing to do with him. He'd hardly be able to calm down now. Not with her throwing a shit fit over something. Crying, saying all these things.... was he fading away from her? He felt like he was still here, with her, touching her. He felt alive.... but was he gone? Physically he was here, she could touch him, hear him, smell him even. She just can't see him... right?! Now he was starting to worry that he was fading and was no longer real or something.... he had a big imagination. So this was not going to end well. At least if it were up to Zan, he'd just continue this freak out, until he cried himself to sleep.
What was he asking him to do? What could he do?! He cant just be visible. That was the hard part. That took more then anything. To be here, to be in the physical world. It was harder then anything, and it was directly tied to his emotions. He'd never be able to come back to her... whatever that meant. If they were both freaking out. "Beks!" He managed to cough out between a sob, as he tugged and pulled at her, trying to get back into his little spot in her arms, trying to hug her again and nuzzle his face in her neck and hug her, and just be with her. "I wanna go home!" He demanded, wanting nothing more then to be away from this place, this evil place of movies. This was the first and last place he wanted to be and, Bathroom or not. He just wanted to be safe, and this was not safe, her arms were much much safer, not the bathroom sink. No they needed to get out of here, and they both just needed to relax. Maybe if she just held him felt him breath she'd calm down. If she closed her eyes she would not be able to see anything and she'd just have to feel, and use her other senses. Maybe that would help.
((Sorry I type a lot. And do what you can. I never word count anything unless it looks under 250 words. I don't care how much you write so lon as I have stuff to work off of, and the less you write the less I will also. As for the thread... this could be bad news bears. Zan wont stop freaking into she stops freaking, and she wont stop freaking till he's visible, and he wont be visible until she stops freaking....))

Rebekah didn't understand why he just vanished all of a sudden. Did she say something? She was being really nice, and that's saying a whole lot about Rebekah, as she was nice to very few people. Did he just mistake her words or something? Rebekah didn't remember saying anything wrong, they were talking about Zan living with her and then all of a sudden he was gone. Did he not want to go home with her anymore? Did he change his mind? Rebekah felt really sad when she thought about this, and she didn't know why, Rebekah only ever really wanted one thing, to be loved.
But no, he just told her that he wanted to go home. But did Zan mean he wanted to go home with her? Or did he mean he wanted to go back to the boys home? Or did he mean he wanted to go home with his real parents? Only one of those questions made Rebekah feel better right now. Zan said he wanted to be with her right? Well, no, no he didn't. He acted like he wanted to be with her, which meant more then just words. So Rebekah took it when he said that he wanted to go home, that he meant that he wanted to go home with her.
Still, that didn't stop Rebekah from openly sobbing in front of him, crying his name out softly trying to get him to re-appear. Rebekah knew that both of them crying right now was not gonna help anything and that she was probably the one that had to be the strong one right now. Rebekah closed her eyes and did her best to stop the flood of tears, but they wouldn't stop. All she knew was that Zan wanted to go home, presumably with her, and he was invisible and it was upsetting her. So what was she to do right now?
Rebekah wanted to shut off her emotions and make it all stop right. But she couldn't, if she did, she would walk away from Zan right now and never see him again. On top of that, it would make her stop feeling the good emotions for him, and not just the overwhelming sadness she was feeling right now. She would stop feeling everything, and she didn't want to, she wanted to feel something, she wanted to feel good for Zan, and flipping the switch just because stuff got to hard was something the old Rebekah would do, and she didn't want to revert to her old ways this quickly.
So she tried calming herself down, taking a few deep breaths. Rebekah felt for Zan, finally finding his cheek, and she threw her arms around him, cuddling his head in the crook of her neck. "Ok, ok." Rebekah said softly to him, though tears were still flowing from her eyes she started to calm herself down. She needed to be strong, for him, she knew that her crying was only making things worse. "You can go home with me, of course you can, I never want that to change." Rebekah said to him holding him gently, not wanting to hurt him.
"You just got to come back to me ok, and you got to try and never vanish around me again, it scares me." Rebekah told him, trying to reason with him. She didn't mind that he had the power and that he was using it, she was not mad at him. But it scared her, she didn't know how to react and she didn't know what to do, for the first time in a long time she felt powerless, weak, like there was nothing in this world that she could do right now to make everything better, and that was out of Rebekah's comfort zone. She NEEDED to be in control and she needed to feel strong.
"Please, show yourself to me. I promise I am not mad." Rebekah told him with a soft sob. She caressed the back of his head gently, her sobbing subsiding and she felt a sudden surge of power. She lifted him up and carried him out of the restroom and shortly after out of the theater. Ignoring the looks of strangers who clearly thought she was crazy or something for holding an invisible person in her arms, but she didn't care, all she wanted now was to give him what he wanted, and that was to get him home.
She took him outside and opened her front passenger door to her car. She sat him, or what she hoped was him as she couldn't see him in the front seat. Rebekah didn't know what the child safety laws were for car travel, and even if she did, she wouldn't care to much. Besides he was invisible anyways. She buckled his seat belt and went around to the other side of her car and got into the drivers seat. "OK, I am taking you to my home now, please don't stay invisible any longer." Rebekah said starting the car and looking behind her so she can back up and not run anyone over.
"See, I'm not mad, at all. I am still taking you home, I still want to be your... I still want to be your." Rebekah began to say, but she didn't know what word to use. What word would he want to here? Rebekah sighed. "I still want to be your everything." Rebekah said to him, it was the only word she can come up with in this moment.

Zan did not know why he just vanished sometimes. He just kind of did. He can't control it. When he wants to go invisible, he can't always do it. It's more in times of need. When he has to disappear, he just does. Its a safety thing. If he could come back, if he could just reappear, he would. But he just can't. It's tied to his emotions. It's tied to just him. What the situation is. If he thinks a situation is safe, and he's totally going to be alright, even if people are having a gun fight over his head. He still wont be able to turn, there is a danger, real or not. He needs to stay invisible for his safety, his mind thought there was something wrong and with Bek freaking out, there was something wrong.
Finally it felt forever him sitting there reaching for her, but she was just out of his reach. No matter what he tried to do it was fall or keep crying, she just did not find him, sitting there. But when she did, he hugged her all the same, wrapping his arms and legs around her. He did not want to be put down again. Not yet. He just wnated to be taken home, to her home, to their home? He wanted to be with her where he would be safe from bad monsters an bad people and bad situations. Where she could read to him and play games with him and help him learn and control things. Maybe if he knew how to control this part of his gift he would not have allowed this all to happen. But he was six he only knew so much, he could never practice before. He was never allowed. Until well now. Bek would help him. He knew she would.
Zan could only nod his little head, she might not be able to see it but she'd feel it rubbing against her shoulder. He would try, but it was not easy. It's not a switch in his mind. It's a process, of more then just relaxing but wanting, needing to be seen. Zan just did not know how to be visible. He tried to will it, to wish it but he was still unchanging. He did not know what to do. How do you control something like this? You just can't. He'd try, he'd think it over as much as he could, but nothing. It's just not something he could do.
That's when he felt some moving. He just clung to her, holding her tightly, sobbing softy into her shoulder. Trying to get a handle on the last few minutes, but he did not understand why she cried. He did not know what he did, for he knew he was the reason for her tears, that much was obvious. But he just did not know how to stop it. There was nothing he could do. He was invisible because there was a threat. Now he was freaking out over hurting her, over doing something wrong. Mad or not, he was doing something bad, and he could not fix it which only caused him to have more anxiety about it, which made it harder to turn visible once more.
The soft movement started to almost rock him to sleep. He was not sleeping, not yet, but it was relaxing enough. It was familiar, it was what he knew, what he was used to before all this crap, before the boys home. Being held, being walked around a room, his back being rubbed. It was his old normal, and it took him to a more peaceful place, where he could relax a little. He was hardly asleep when she opened the car door, she started to place him on the seat, and he grabbed for her, but he was sleepy now, and just blinked as she closed the door behind him. At least he was not on the smelly buss. That was a good sign.
Zan was out the moment she started the car and began to move. All that really just took all his energy away, and he just fell asleep, anyway he was a young boy he needed a good nap. Now apparently was the time. So he herd little if anything of what she said. It was there in his mind, but he figured his mind was making things up, and he fell into a dreamless sleep. A couples minutes into his sleep his body naturally reset itself flickering between visible and invisible, until he was in a deeper sleep, thats when his body took off the hold, and allowed himself to be seen once again. Only he'd be sleep for quite a while, breathing softly.
((Kay it works! If you wanna make it out the house, we can set it a few hours later when he wakes up or a few days later which ever you want Just let me know when it's made))
